My sister got married 10 years ago and both work in it industry.sister have birth to her child in 2019 and since then there was some gap between both of them he didn't took her back home. It got worse during COVID time.my sister got COVID and was ventilator there was no response from her husband he was more like u do whatever u want don't call me and cut the call.my sister solely surived for the kid. Some how got oxygen level normal and we got out of the situation.since then she's in banglore.
there were some dark days were his husband would visit and shout at all of us like we did some wrong.he would indirectly tell like ur sister is not safe to be handled alone shes not stable infront of all people on the streets.and then it became frequent calls then occasional gifts with no information then his mother would call and not once they enquire about my sister.last time we contacted to join in school with all the details to fil the form but for only reply was u are asking this money don't msg me anything in a rude sense and never responded back for anything.thanks to wfh my sister stayed in banglore would work on morning and would be awake til early morning and study .she completed certifications and moved to good position.
Now my another sister who is living abroad wants us to come there she's Taking care of all things. We got passport renewed for my sister and parents.
we need to get passport for her child.we didn't not alter anything with child name it has both father & mother name.we didn't left father name any where we are using as it is .we applied for passport with no change in name and with annexure-c stating that husband has deserted the child as we there was no response from him .
In passport office they as usual verified the documents and sent to other counters.then in the final counter they told to check with apo .on discussion with apo he told to do police verification and check with passport rpo office.
We don't have police case or reconciliation or counselling session since he deserted.he didn't respond to join niece's school admission or when my father had surgery.my niece calls out dad as father it's in such situation.even after declaring in annexure -c that her husband is deserted stil it's been escalated to rpo.
We are afraid what they wil ask my niece in the rpo .we are expecting an child for my elder sister since my sister has passport for work duty she doesn't have any issue but stuck with passport rpo.
We have valid proof
Marriage certificate Date of birth Study certificate Adhar( staying in same place for more than 4 years ) My sister passport
Need help from lawyer in suggestions to help us out.we need a passport for our minor niece to visit our elder sister and return back.after asking multiple times and humiliations we chose annexure -c as final option. as of now my sister is losing her mind so much of future things to come.
As of now need guidance to resolve the issue and get passport for my niece any advice will be helpful for us.

I tried to convince her otherwise but there's a few gluten free items she really likes there. We did most of our shopping elsewhere though.
Anyways the location is usually very busy. Today it was pretty quiet, maybe 25% of the usual traffic.
They had a security guard standing at the entrance but not exit which was interesting. Our cart had a damaged security wheel and when we noticed it was too late to turn back because of the prison like security barriers and guard. So I just made sure to make extra noise with it and do cart drifting since it was so quiet (a few ladies laughed and cheered😂).
As we were walking around I made sure to point out the egregious prices I noticed loudly for everyone to hear. Even my wife was shocked when I showed her somethings.
When we went to the checkout area there was 2 out of 12 manned tills opened and they were lined up to the shelves, and people looked pissed. So we opted for self checkout which was also lined up a bit. There was one worker for 12 self checkout machines and she clearly didn't care to help. Everyone at the self checkout seemed to have a problem and need help but this one lady was just slowly wandering around ignoring people's cries 😂. The lady checking out next to me even commented how pissed she was at the shopping experience.
As we left I noticed the other patrons looked annoyed too. So I guess instead of giving into any demands they just slashed their labor force and caused their customer experience to be crap.
I think our efforts are working, keep up the good work everyone. 👍

My boyfriend ISTP 9w8 (22) and I ENFX 7w6 (26) started an online relationship turned real life which I met him in August, and the relationship was official 1/1.
However, when I got to know him (Let’s call him Trevor) summer leading to fall, it was mostly platonic, and a little flirting. However, he didn’t know of my age so I assumed I was too old for him for 4-5 years so I just engaged in the community online texting and not through Whatsapp.
However, starting in October, everything was smooth until he talked to this girl, let’s name her Lara. She is a “mean girl”, and she playfully flirts with everyone. He started to talk to her and banter with her meanly with a specific kind of humor, always flirt with her, talk about sexual topics with her and say things like “I’ll drop my EP a day early for you” and “Mad submissive”. It felt like he didn’t like her for her but flirts with her for god knows what reason!
The thing is, I liked him throughout the whole fall, so me and my friends seeing it they were always asking if they were together. She flirts with everyone, but he only bantered with her. So I concluded it to 3 reasonings of why: 1) he finds her the youthful option and he is pragmatic in choosing a mate 2) He wants her validation 3) he genuinely likes her.
Then came around 12/28 when we got closer and closer and I sort of told him how I felt through music and we talked everyday after. However on 12/30 he ignored me for a whole day to talk to her even saying things like bruised minge(?) which means vagina in slang. And voice notes her a lot with a jump in his voice.
After we got together on 1/1 which we grew really close we would call hours a day. The flirting mostly stopped but there were times on 1/30 and 2/5 and 2/18 where he would still have that jump in his voice and sends us the same memes and such. I confronted him on why he says he saw her as entertainment and felt empty so he flirts a lot and he said I made him stop liking mean girls? He said he likes chasing thrills and feeling something. And I always saw it as a validation thing because he never liked her just the idea of her as he didn’t know her that well as it was like that from the get go but it was always banter as he showed me his dms with her and he only has me on WhatsApp which we bonded over a companionship bond (calling every day for 2 hours, saying I love you, deepest darkest secret sharing, being there for eachother) and laughing a lot than a fire bond. We even visited each other and we held hands a lot and cuddled and slept with eachother. He told me his insecurities and darkest thoughts and we hanged out with eachother everyday for months just us alone on call and he even said he would be content with us me to talk to not the community at large
Still, it kind of hurt. Because we were together. And I liked him before. I asked him in a call one month later and asked if he thought she was cute, he said “of course she’s cute, she’s absolutely silly” which shocked and saddened me. I broke up with him.
Why do you think he did that, does he have a type, was he chasing validation and thrills, or he genuinely likes her?
Also did he emotionally cheat on me because it really hurt when he hyper fixated on her for banter.

I am looking at getting more into credit cards to build up points to pay for travel. I have a good amount of my regular spend categories covered with 2-3x points but always think I could do more. PURPOSE * Purpose of this next card is mainly getting Travel rewards points for other portals outside of the delta points that I have an lot of. I also want to get the best points per dollar spent on my regular purchases. I prefer to fly Delta (hence the platinum delta amex) but also need a card that gives me more airline options.

• I’ve been looking at the chase sapphire for the 85k in branch sign on bonus. Also the citi custom cash for the 5x back on one category that would probably be for groceries.
  
• I don’t think I NEED a new high end travel card as I already pay $350 for my delta platinum that gives me TSA precheck and other perks, but if one could get positive value I would consider.
  

 We have to tell you something before we finish this. Do you remember the humans; their appearance, language, culture, and technology? We do. Each planet that they colonized. Our appearance millennium ago was much more different than that you look at now. See, our home world Apis 3 drifted too close to one of the gas giants present in our system. Vegitation was dying, animals went extinct. We were doomed to be snuffed out like a small fire in a roaring blizzard. But our saviors came. The Hive remembers. I just need some advice here. I (20f) started dating a guy (19m) about 2 months ago and we made it official a month ago, so it’s very new. In the beginning, everything was great. We did admittedly move fast, but I thought we both felt good about it. From the day I met him, we started hanging out every weekend. Typically for 2 days and overnight. He started out by asking me to hang out and calling me 1-2 times a day. I’ll be honest, I loved the way this man made me feel even if I was unsure about how I felt about him so soon. He supported me in every way, did kind things for me, complimented me often, and just seemed so genuine. We had a great weekend a couple weeks ago and he told me he “wants to give me the world.”
For the past week, however, things started to change. He hasn’t called me once in the past week. It feels like I’m begging him to call me and he doesn’t really want to. It seems like he’s avoiding calling me as much as possible, and he doesn’t want to hang out as much. He even stopped calling me pet names that were so common at first and sending me cute videos he finds. This all started at the beginning of last week when I had a pretty bad mental health week (I have BPD and anxiety, for context). The school year ended for me and I started a new job. The change in my schedule, the commute, and constantly working was causing me a lot of stress. I have gotten better at managing my stress, but I still struggle. When he called me last week, I just ranted about work and being stress but I don’t feel that I took it out on him. I simply needed someone to talk to, but I tried not to let it affect our relationship.
However, as my stress increased I started to worry about our relationship. I can’t be sure if he started drifting from me when I started struggling with my mental health or if it was in my head at that point. I tried to communicate how I was feeling just by saying things like “I feel like we don’t talk on the phone as much, is everything ok?” But he said everything was fine. Admittedly, I spiraled a bit and started becoming very insecure about myself and the relationship. I think I overdid it because I started trying to communicate with him about this a lot more and asked if we were okay a lot. I wish I hadn’t done this, but I have an intense fear of abandonment and I panicked.
He finally opened up to me and told me that he no longer wanted to call me every day and hangout as much because he didn’t want us to become dependent. I respected his decision and thanked him for telling me, so I said we could do that but I’d still like to call every couple of days if possible because I prefer it over texting. He agreed, and I felt like we really started to understand each other and were in a good place.
Now that a few days have passed since that conversation though, I don’t feel any better. He still hasn’t called me once and although he texts a lot he just seems dry/disinterested. I asked how he was doing because I thought maybe he was just stressed and needed time alone, but he said everything was fine.
With my BPD, I tend to become attached quickly and am very sensitive to changes in mood/tone. I’m trying so hard to manage it and make this work (I’m in therapy and on medication). However, I think I may have scared him with my episode and I’m afraid we’re past the point of fixing things. Especially since nothing has changed since I brought up the things that bother me. I know it’s only been a week or so, so should I just drop the issue for now and give it more time? Do I stop asking him to call and just see if he does first? Or should I just save both of us the headache of dealing with my mental health and end it?

Hi everyone. I don’t mean to seem aloof or classist, but I’m really struggling to find childcare for my 2 year old in the Bronx.
My mother in law passed away last year and my husband inherited about $200k. He used it to put a down payment on a warehouse so that he could take his glass blowing business to the next level. He also has a vision of making it to a coffee shop and community space.
We’ve been living in the back unit that is mostly concrete, but we do have a small (8’x6’) back yard than I’m learning to love. I put a basil plant out last week and think it could support a tomato plant.
Lots of the local day cares have very faded advertisements and marquees and I could have sworn that the director, a skinny 6’ tallish man named Dominic with braids like the rap artist “Pop Smoke” smelled a little bit like marijuana. He kept calling me “ma” and I just didn’t think it would be a good fit.
Another place we went to just looked like a modified pig factory. There were about 28 toddlers in a small pen with a Dominican version of Cocomelpn droning on. The secretary cursed out one of the parents who was mad that someone made a copy of her debit card and bought Michael Jordan sneakers without her consent.
The only decent one we went to cost $269 a week and is 50 blocks south in Manhattan’s UES.

This is a pretty strange request, I know. Let me explain myself:
I used to listen to the boys on repeat 5 years ago or so, but stopped due to the fact that I didn’t really agree with the sentiments in their music anymore. The blatant heresy and reference to self harm turned me off, even if at one point it helped me get through some hard times. It would be cherry picking to not mention all the other stuff in their music that is inherently anti-Christian like drug use and violence etc, but my main problem is with the outright denial of God, demonic themes / devil worship, and self harm in some songs.
One might argue that with their Duo name being SuicideBoys, none of their music is safe to listen to because every time you mention them or listen to them you have to read their band name at the very least which has… you guessed it, suicide in the name so…
I don’t come here to be high and mighty or judgemental to others about my religion, was just wondering if any other fans of the boys out there are Christian / religious as well and have made a playlist of their music that doesn’t include any self harm / anti-religion messages in it. The main reason I’m asking is I love scrim’s production& rapping style , as well as Ruby’s rapping despite the nature of their content sometimes, and would love to still be able to listen to them occasionally. Trip planning - My (40F) best friend from college (39F) and I decide to go to Amsterdam on a birthday trip. We both turn 40 in 2024, and we decide to go in May because it's in between our birthdays and because it'll be tulip season in Amsterdam! Neither of us have been. We also haven't travelled together before, despite being friends for 20(!) years, so we are a little apprehensive, although we have spent a lot of time together over the past few years. We decide on a 6 day trip. For purposes of this diary I'm going to list my half of the expenses for things we split. Costs are in US dollars, despite paying using Euros. As a side note, I also am a little over one year post-Gastric Bypass, which has a limited effect on my diet (I try to eat low carb, but you'll see that I mostly fail at this on this trip!).

Our flight is at 5:30pm, so we planned to be at the airport by 3:30pm, which actually turned out to be 4pm. Uber ($21.17). After checking bags (included in flight price) and getting through security we made it to our gate right as boarding was about to start. No time for food or drinks.
On the plane I eat a snack of roasted chickpeas before dinner, which was chicken cacciatore with mashed potatoes, bread, cheesecake, cheese, and a salad. And two glasses of wine. I save the cheesecake and cheese for later.
My friend and I watch a movie (Poor Things) and then try to sleep. I am reading A Fault In Our Stars, because Amsterdam. I try unsuccessfully to sleep for awhile and then go back to reading. At some point i eat the cheese and cheesecake. Breakfast is a cheese roll, which i eat a couple bites of (OMG does all of Amsterdam have this much cheese?? - spoiler alert… yes it does!). I wish I had slept more.
Day 2 - Even though it feels like a continuation of day one. (Total $207.02)
7am - We land at 7 and then grab the bags and go through customs. Easy peasy. We are exhausted so we grab coffee at the airport before figuring out public transit ($5.10). I take out 60 euro for cash in case we need it ($65). We buy a train ticket to the central station ($6.33) and when we get there we buy a four day unlimited public transit pass ($28.44) so that we don’t have to worry about it later.
We get to the hotel at around 9am. They tell us it will cost $50 to check in early, which we opt not to do. Instead we go get breakfast and coffee at a cafe nearby ($21.20). The hotel tells us that our prepaid amount did not include city taxes, which is another $183 (my half $91.88).
11:30am - Back at the room we decide to rest for 90 minutes. Enough to catch up on sleep but not to waste the day and get more jet-lagged. After a rest we decide to walk around and get a feel for the neighborhood and do some shopping. We find a bookstore, and I buy a copy of my favorite book from high school, Tess of the D’Ubervilles with a beautiful cover and gold edges ($21.46). We also buy fries with truffle, mayo, and Parmesan at a fry shop ($3.32) (that’s all they have and they are delicious!). We also stop a grocery store and pick up a few things including yogurt, cheese, salami, apples, and an energy drink ($13.19). We have some early days planned and nothing seems to open early. It’s very cold and rainy and semi unpleasant.
6pm - We drop stuff off, bundle up, and head off to dinner and a tour of the red light district. We try to find a place that serves Snert, a Dutch pea soup, but strike out. We end up at an Asian place instead. I get chicken satay and a beer and my friend gets Indonesian soup and wine ($16.10). Our red light tour is great, but we are exhausted after and head straight home to bed. 22k steps total
Day 3 (Total $87.24)
7:30am - We have an early day planned, and have to be on a bus near the central station by 8am. I eat a yogurt and energy drink (from grocery store) for breakfast and we take public transit (covered on unlimited card) to the station. We find the right bus and head off!
First stop is the windmills, which are beautiful! I am happy we get there early because we basically have the place to ourselves. My friend gets a coffee and we both use the restroom ($1.08!). Then we head to Edam and do a walking tour there. Next stop is a clog/cheese place, which feels very touristy but they do feed us lots of cheese. I buy a cheese slicer as a souvenir ($10.81). Next stop is another small town where we have lunch at a cafe. We basically pick one at random. My friend gets fried fish and I get a ham and cheese panini and a beer ($17.30). Final stop is an artificial island town called Maarken. We do another walking tour.
2:30pm - we arrive back in Amsterdam and get let off north of the water. I grab a coffee ($3.76). We go up to the Adam lookout and take a ride on the swing off the side of the building ($25.95 for swing plus ticket to lookout). We also grab a drink and sit on a pillow watching the city from very high up, which is lovely ($6.63). On the way out I buy a reusable water bottle at the gift shop ($4.87).
After the lookout we take the tram over to a brewery at a windmill that was recommended to us by several people (including here on Reddit!). Cost was covered by the transit pass. We buy bitterballen and a small bottle of Genever (local whiskey) (paid by my friend) and a flight of beer ($16.84). We are a bit tipsy but enjoying the lovely weather.
6:30 - On the way back toward the hotel the weather turns and it starts raining so we dip into a pub for dinner. I have a burger ($16.12). We are there at 8pm, which is momentous because it’s a day of remembrance and the whole bar is silent for two minutes. It was very interesting to be there during this time.
We are exhausted by this point and go home to bed. 19k steps total for the day.
Day 4 (Total $104.33)
7am - Another early day as we have to be on a bus at 7:30 to go to Keukenhof for the tulips! (paid in advance). We wanted to take the first bus out there because we heard the crowds were bad. I eat a yogurt for breakfast and take a 5 hour energy (no cafes open this early!). We try to take public transit to the train station but didn’t realize that the trains do not run that early on a Sunday so we grab an Uber instead ($12.20). We tell the Uber driver we’re trying to catch a bus so he makes sure we find the right place and we pull up just as the bus is loading. Phew!
8:00am - we spend 5 hours in the gardens and take literally hundreds of pictures. We are glad that we get there early as the first few hours are lovely and empty. We get a coffee ($4.60) and lunch later ($25.36). By 1pm it’s getting very crowded so we start heading out. We grab the bus back to the train station.
2:30pm - We decide to go by the Rijksmuseum although not in it because we planning that later. Instead we stop off at the Van Gogh/Rijks gift shop that’s nearby. I get a couple souvenirs, including a foldable bag and a magnet ($20.44). I also get a coffee ($3.64) and my friend gets bubble tea. We sit on the hill on museumplein and people watch. After awhile it starts to get hot (we had dressed for the early morning) so we head back to the hotel to change.
5pm - we decide we are having an evening of drinking. We first grab a drink in the hotel bar because we get free vouchers for each day we choose not to have the room cleaned. Then we have dinner at an udon place, which is delicious. We have tempura, chicken katsu, and dumplings ($15.94). Then because it’s cinco de mayo we decide to have margaritas at the Mexican place near the hotel ($15.15)! Not Dutch but it’s fun. We head down the street to another bar and have a Genever cocktail called an Amsterdam mule ($9.91). I am happy with our choice of hotel because there are so many places in our neighborhood. On the way home we pass a fresh stroopwaffle place and must get in line for one ($5.92).
By then we are exhausted and head to bed. 21k steps total for the day.
Day 5 (Total $80.44)
8am - We have a slightly less early day but have tickets to the Anne Frank house at 9:15. (paid in advance). I eat some yogurt and cheese in the room before we leave. It’s walkable so we decide to head out early and grab coffee on the way. ($3.19). The house is sombering but I’m glad we did it.
11am - After the Anne Frank house we walk to the nearby cheese museum. We sample lots of cheese. I buy one cheese to take home ($15.18). We want to walk to a used bookstore, but decide to have lunch at a cafe on the way. We pick one at random. We split chicken tenders and a goat cheese and apple sandwich and I have a beer. ($15.14). The sandwich is one of the best things we have eaten. We spend about an hour in the bookstore and my friend buys one book.
3pm - We realize we are by the monkey bar (one of the oldest bars in Amsterdam that they told us about on our red light district tour). We stop in for a drink. Ok two drinks. ($12.50). We take the metro back towards the hotel and stop in at a tile store in our neighborhood so I can buy a magnet. I buy magnets from all my trips, but I like non-touristy handmade ones if I can find them, Van Gogh magnet from yesterday aside. I buy one with a windmill on it. ($14). We also stop at the grocery store for more yogurt ($3.05) and for Dutch apple pie at the cafe across the street from the hotel ($4). We get back to the hotel and have another free drink and then rest before dinner.
8pm - We go out to a Dutch restaurant for dinner. I am not super hungry from pie so I just get the snert (pea soup). My friend gets sauerkraut and potatoes. Sorry, but I thought it was pretty bland food in general. ($13.38).
We head home. It’s a lighter day, only 14k steps today.
Day 6 (Total $194.47)
8am - Today is our last full day in Amsterdam. We have planned to spend the day at the Rijksmuseum. We want to get there right when it opens for crowd reasons. We had bought “friend of the museum” passes ahead of time so that we can skip the line. I have a yogurt for breakfast and we walk to a cafe near the museum for coffee and breakfast for my friend ($3.78). The man at the cafe is very nice and we love sitting outside in the sunshine. It’s going to be a warm day!
We spend about 5 hours at the museum. We rush to see the Van goghs and the main gallery where the Rembrandts are, including The Night Watch, which is probably one of the most famous paintings in there. We had downloaded the app so we shared a pair of earbuds and listened to audio notes about many of the works (they have a number you can enter in). We take a break outside for coffee ($7.29 - i pay) and skip the line again. Totally worth it for the more expensive ticket. Around 2 we are hungry and have seen almost everything. We stop in the gift shop and I buy a ring and earring set. ($64.76). I forget to use my 10% discount for being a friend. :( I wanted a necklace too but didn’t like the ones they had there so I’ll try to find a matching piece at home.
2pm - My friend has been trying to get herring for the whole trip so we make it a point to do that. The first place is a bust so we find a little stand that sells it a 15 min walk away. We are determined, so we head there. I don’t eat fish so I get a shawarma on the way, which is terrible (cash). I throw half away. After lunch we get ice cream. I get coffee ice cream, and it makes up for the bad shawarma ($6). We also stop at the peanut butter store, which is allegedly the first in the world, and I pick up 3 small jars for my mom for Mother’s Day ($8.11). We also stop at a thrift store and i buy a dress ($21.59). At some point this day (I think), we also stop at another bookstore, and I buy a few things including a card, a couple gifts, and a book ($39.71).
6pm - After resting a bit, we get two more free drinks at the hotel and then head out to dinner. We pick another Asian place. I get an aperol spritz at dinner and we share appetizers (satay, spring rolls, and bitterballen). We also get coconut ice cream with mango sauce for dessert. All yum! ($33.03).
We get one final drink at a local bar near the hotel ($10.20) and I’m again grateful for our choice of neighborhood. Today has been all walking because our 4-day metro pass ran out yesterday. Total steps 13k.
Day 7 (Total $36.93)
8am - this our last day. The plane was supposed to leave at 1:30pm, but we get a message that it’s delayed an hour. We decide to have a leisurely breakfast. We pick a place that’s at a hotel near our hotel. I get an egg sandwich and my friend gets French toast. We both get coffee. ($15.27)
We decide to leave for the airport around 11. We walk to the central station about 20 min away, and I buy wooden tulips for my mom on the way (cash). We buy train tickets (cash) and get right on a train. We are proud of ourselves for our navigation on this trip.
12pm - we get to the airport and through security. We head to a lounge but there’s a line. We are 40th in line based on our QR code place. We decide not to wait and sit down for lunch at a random bar. I get a sausage and a beer ($20.66). We walk around some and get another message that our flight is delayed more, to 4pm. It’s finally our turn to get into the lounge at 2:30 (2 1/2 hour wait) so we go. I grab some water and a whiskey and coke but we just ate so we are not hungry. Around 3 we head to the gate. Unfortunately when we get there our flight is delayed more and will board at 4. They give us airport vouchers so we buy a book, beer, and some stroopwaffles ($1 after vouchers). We finally board and head off around 5.
On the flight we are served dinner. They have run out of chicken by the time they get to me, but eventually find one and bring it to me later. I have a wine too. I read, watch a movie, and try to sleep a little. We have a whole row of four to ourselves so we can spread out. Dinner is a French bread pizza.
8pm - We land around 7pm (love time zone math!), grab our bags, and get a taxi to my car ($27.09). I drop off my friend and get home at 8:30. I am exhausted but cuddle my cats for about an hour before going to bed. 15k steps today

Final parting thoughts - I think just over $2k for an almost-week long trip to Europe is a pretty comfortable number for me. I am glad I could use points for most of the flight. It took me a bit to figure this out but it was great so at times I would do it on purpose
On several occasions I would go to a particular store where employees wear red shirts. And many times people would stop and ask me questions. They assumed the fact I had a badge on a lanyard and wearing a red shirt I worked there. Most times people figured it out quickly and apologized and I even would say where something was if I knew just to be kind. No harm no foul. Till one day we will call her Old Grumpy Karen is assuming I work at the store. To be honest I didn’t hear OKG at first till she cleared her throat and snapped her fingers. Ok I was done. I walked off and she followed me to another aisle. This is the point she really got rude. So whatever item she was looking for said an area completely on the other side of the store. She tried to say I had to walk with her to the item she wanted. I smiled, and said oh I can’t I’m leaving and if she needed help there is someone more qualified in that area and I disappear. A bit later (I was still shopping). She had a manager and she was definitely complaining about the customer disservice she received. As I was leaving I smiled and waived. I heard her say “that’s the one, he was rude and should be reprimanded”. I made sure to say “oh I don’t work here “ on my way out.
A few weeks later not wearing a red shirt I was there again and the manager saw me. He came up and said what I did was great. The lady always gives the staff a hard time. The lady asked what he was going to do about it? He said he told her absolutely nothing, he’s going to do absolutely nothing.

i met this guy at a social event and we clicked instantly (as friends because i had another bf at the time and hes gonna become relevant in the story). lets just call the guy at the event john and lets call my ex alex. me and alex broke up about 3 days after i met john and i started to develop feelings for john. me and alex ended up trying to “talk things out” even tho i was just attached and wanted the attachment to wear off. so we were “talking” but we werent exclusive and had no boundaries and i knew i was eventually going to cut alex off because i didnt see a future with him, i just was attached because we had memories and he was my first ever boyfriend
me and john liked each other, on october 7th we kissed. and about 4 days later i met up with alex and “hooked up” which i later found out he sexually assaulted me
i was avoiding john because the entire situation was hard on me and i was tired of having to choose because i was the first girl john ever liked and i felt bad about kissing him and i DIDNT want a relationship (at the time) slowly, john blocked me because he had enough and thats when i realized i didnt want alex anymore. i cut alex off for john. john asked me if i met up with alex after me and him kissed and i said no because my god forsaken self fucking forgot, as much as it sounds like an excuse, its not. i had no memory of seeing alex after me and john kissed. and so me and john started to become exclusive after we met up and talked things out. i told him i didnt see alex after me and john kissed.
we dated and we were so happy until we broke up for a few days because he wasnt ready for a relationship, we got back together and we were happy.
theres the part where i start to fuck up. and i wont deny a single thing i did
theres a guy named eric, or at least we will call him that. i used to “like” eric, not even like i just thought he was cute. nothing too deep. im friends with his girlfriend and she trusts me enough because she knows i feel nothing for him, but she trusts me to come to me whenever they have issues in the relationship because she KNOWS its nothing like that
theres another guy named timmy, timmy and eric go to the same school so theyre in the same class. timmy is spreading shit rumors about me and its no fucking rumor anyone could ignore. it was a rumor where i had a “sex tape”, have 3 bodies, and had sex with john even tho non of it is fucking true. it was getting so bad my friends were getting dms saying “your little friend had sex with her boyfriend and i have proof”. it was so fucking bad. not to mention, im a minor and i live in a small fucking country shit gets spread so fast here. and so i would go to eric as ask him about timmy because i was gonna take legal action against timmy because it was going so fucking far. and john didnt like that. because he knew i used to “like” eric. which i fucking didnt and i just thought the dude was good looking lol
and so i would only speak to eric to ask about timmy and i would let john know about. except this one god forsaken time where i didnt show a fucking continuation of a conversation and he got so mad he started threatening to break up with me
keep in mind, im an anxious attachment and im pretty sure john is avoidant even tho in the relationship he was surely an anxious so i dont know cause we havent spoken in a fucking month lmao

the reason why i use the name eric is because eric is like someone who associates himself with eric cartmen from south park, he makes him his entire personality and its just a joke between him and everyone 😭 as immature as it sounds, i dressed up as eric cartmen for characters day in school and i showed eric the outfit because i thought it was funny and didnt think anything of it. i didnt show john but i didnt hide it from him either because i know john would go through my phone and i didnt see anything wrong with what i did, until he went through my phone and saw the chat, keep in mind, i do delete chats with my friends sometimes because i dont want john to see some things because of privacy, not out relationship, but between me and a specific few girls he doesnt like and doesnt want me to be friends with
and so he saw the message and got upset, and i took the hint that this guy just doesnt want me to interact w eric at all and i understood but i understood him way too fucking late and he broke up with me
which for some reason my dumbass was shocked even tho he made it clear that he didnt want me speaking to john so this is where i realized i fucked up
i took it as a lesson and learned to not do it again but i was too late
me and john break up and i wanted him back badly. an hour after the breakup i started posting on my story about a random guy that i made up and acted like i liked him to piss off john and make him jealous which was a bad fucking idea
to me, the more someone doesnt want me, the more i want them. thats how i thought it was
and he found out and got pissed off. he ended up texting alex and found out i met up with alex after me and john kissed. but no one was aware that i was actually sexually assaulted by alex and i found out later because my friend went through the same thing. me and john stayed talking to see if we could work it out and i fucked up by telling him to stop basing our relationship over something from the past that happened over 8 months ago. he got pissed and blocked me
i later found out he followed back the girl he told me not worry about and said he didnt know why he was attracted to her but at same time would say “i dont know if shes actually pretty or if im trying to move on” (as in move on from me) i got so fucking pissed, i texted the girl w my friend we and told her that john was using her and a rebound. john found out, threatened to ruin my life and was so fucking mad over it, but i later then realized he just thought she was pretty and didnt want her like that. i ended up apologizing to john because i wanted him back but it didnt work because he was standing on business lmfao
during this time, my friend told me he would always consider going back to me and missed me and loved me so much. and john did love me. a LOT. he bought me flowers, a ring, everything. like he did everything for me and he did love me so deeply
and now we havent spoken over a month and its slowly killing me because my friend who was close with him said he was dead set with his decision n doesnt wanna get back with me. i dont know if this will change because right now he has new priorities like studies since hes graduating soon. but right now, he seems dead set with his decision even tho his biggest fear was losing me. i saw the way he would talk about me and we were so deeply in love.
but john thinks i cheated on him with what happened with alex. my friend told him he sexually assaulted me but it was very vague and he doesnt know the details.
i was johns first love. first EVERYTHING. we broke up march 18 and last spoke april 19 where he thought i was shit talking him and i proved i wasnt. he later said he was worried about me but right now he doesnt seem to care.

1. Maintenance Neglect: Major repairs like plumbing issues, electrical problems, and mold were ignored despite multiple requests. This made living conditions unbearable and potentially hazardous.
2. Unjust Charges: He frequently added unjustified charges to the rent without providing clear explanations or invoices. This included random fees for maintenance services that were never performed.
3. Poor Communication: James was extremely difficult to reach. Voicemails, texts, and emails went unanswered for weeks, leaving me in the dark about important matters related to the property.
4. Unprofessional Behavior: He showed up unannounced several times, invading my privacy. On a few occasions, he entered the apartment without prior notice, which is not only unprofessional but also illegal.
5. Deposit Issues: Upon moving out, he refused to return my security deposit, citing damages that were either pre-existing or never occurred. It took months of back-and-forth to get a partial refund, and that too only after threatening legal action.
6. Rude and Threatening: He was extremely rude and threatening during interactions, especially when issues were brought up. His hostile attitude made it very difficult to communicate or resolve any problems.

I’m sharing this to hopefully save others from the stress and inconvenience I went through. If you’re considering renting from James O'Reilly, please think twice. There are plenty of other landlords out there who are far more reliable and respectful.

I used to love my job. I loved being a barista
I would come in smiling just because I got to make drinks, work with people who also loved making drinks, and watch as these customers got what they wanted. I prided myself on memorizing every recipe. Every standard. Not a single thing was out of place. Sure there were drinks I didn’t like making, and the few customers who were rude were hard, but it was worth it.
My very first job. I loved it. It was my pride. I worked at a Tom Thumb Starbucks Kiosk. It was hard since I didn’t have any training, but I felt love in my work.
Fast forward to September, and everyone I worked with had now left. I was asked to be the new manager. I felt ecstatic, I was chosen to make the kiosk my own!
The first thing I wanted to do was make sure all baristas knew each other and worked together. Then make sure they all have the same training. Then add samples to boost sales. Then the cleaning routine evenly split between shifts. I had these plans and ideas.
About a month in, I noticed that my director was scheduling people outside of their availability. So I took it upon myself to make sure everyone got the shifts they needed according to the availability sheets I made. Then people started calling out. Sickness. Birthdays. Car trouble. Had prior obligations. Medical appointments. Excuse after excuse come in. And I gladly work the shifts. Because I loved my job.
Holiday came and went. No one had seen the work I did. My director consistently screamed at me because my baristas weren’t following what I was telling them. So I asked to make the schedule and take people off and write them up if it continued. I wasn’t granted that power. “Your job is to make people come in. If they don’t, you do, there is no excuse”
I worked tirelessly. Not able to manage the people under me. Not being heard by the people above me. I was the only manager in the entire store who didn’t do their schedule. I found out I was also paid significantly less than all the other department managers. Not .50 1.00, but 5 and 10 dollars less. With the same amount of experience.
Recently I’ve had no one come in on weekends. I open. Close. Do mid. Clean. Organize. And restock. All on my own. We also had 2 corporate locations close for remodel, so we’re pulling in 10-12 times the amount of customers. An average day 3 months ago was $500 and now I’m doing $6000 all by myself. Cold Bar. Warming. Customer Support. Bar. It’s just me. I’ve collapsed multiple times from sheer exhaustion and working alone 15 hours with no break 3-4 times a week. I’ve called HR. I’ve called my local labor departments. I’ve talked with my doctors and therapist.
Sunday was my breaking point. I’m now on bed rest by recommendation from my doctor because I’ve thrown out my back. Mother’s Day BOGO ruined me. And I had regular customers come back and say “what happened to the old -Aki- I used to see?” And I just sit there with bags under my eyes and tears down my face. Because I don’t know what happened. I don’t know what I did wrong.
I need my job. I can’t live without my $16/hr, and there isn’t another job paying that much around me, nor has corporate Starbucks accepted any of my applications. I was kicked out of my parents at 18. I have to be able to afford rent. I don’t have another option. I’m only 19 years old.

AITAH for telling my college friend who has not shown the best qualities that I cannot host them at my apartment for their upcoming visit to NYC? I’d like to put it out there that they’ve told me they were coming for a small cosmetic procedure and they also have a sibling who lives in NYC. I believe they wanted to stay with me because I live in Manhattan and their sibling lives in Brooklyn and they don’t want to do the extra travel which I can understand but this person has done nothing but use me.
