We can confidently say that we've all been there or will be there. Except for maybe 0.01%. But it doesn't matter if a few individuals haven't been there when the majority will recognize themselves.
This will be more of methods to get out of it, than why it happens.
You have a couple of weeks with profits, you feel like you've been consistent. You feel like you've done exactly what you're supposed to do to be a profitable trader. So you go in hoping to repeat the past two weeks. But the exact opposite happens, you lose and give back all your profits from two weeks in just a few days. Maybe even just one day. Your risk management, which you thought you had under control, has slipped out of your head.
This is what they call the boom and bust cycle. And we all have to go through it. I want to share a very effective method that worked for me. Well, and note that this may not work for everyone. I started to notice a pattern when this happened. I realized that I was a domino brick. If I first did something I knew I shouldn't do. Break a small rule, or trade when I shouldn't. Or just think about profit and not opportunities. After that, it started again.
The domino brick fell - just like a snowball that got bigger and bigger.
So then I thought; if you could stop the snowball before it got too big, then you might have solved the problem. What did I do to get out of this cycle? I did two important things.
Action #1 - Film your self at your worste😱
After I had broken all my rules and gambled instead of trading, I filmed myself and explained honestly and openly how I felt (I felt like crap). That recording is still something I watch from time to time - it's surprisingly painful to see it. It's a reminder of how you'll feel if you break your rules.
Action #2 - Feedback Form✅
I started to fill out a feedback form(very very simple questions) after each trading session. This form helped me to identify what I did wrong and what I could improve on. I wrote down what I did, what went wrong, and what I would do differently next time.
This is to stop the snowball from getting bigger and bigger. Because once you cant answer the questions as you should like «Have you followed your plan today?» If not. Then take a couple of days and zome out and ask your self why. No point starting to trade if you havent found out why.
This feedback form became a valuable tool for me to reflect on my actions and identify patterns that led to mistakes. Because I genuinely believe one mistake breeds another.
It's a simple yet effective way to learn from your mistakes and improve your consistency.

As a startup founder I have been thinking about the tech stack and set of tools I should be using. I also have so many subscriptions I have purchased (or signed up for) that I need to keep track of. I was watching a video from Greg Isenberg where he recommended 7 tools to use as a startup. It made me wonder about a tool that could be used to share tech stack recommendations as well as manage tool subscriptions as a foundestartup. Think about being able to search your type of business, the audience you are targeting, the stage of your biz, etc. and being able to see recommendations from the community - also being able to track all the account/subscriptions/purchases you have made to manage your own stack. Hi,
I have this problem that short after I played a game and closed it, my pc will freeze, either it'll go all black or keeps the monitors showing image but frozen, the sound will also freeze and that sounds like pain. Sometimes it also freezes during the game
My pc started a year back with not booting correctly every now and then and only showing a _ during startup and freezing there, I don't have this very often but it did/does happen.
I later installed windows 11 on a new internal SSD and reinstalled everything on that (note that my old discs are also still in pc and in use so it's now running on a dual boot setup with 11 and 10 though the old windows 10 is on a seperate ssd and that disc is not used directly by me during windows use of 11)
I've ran temp checks and I don't think anything is overheating (but tbh, it is hard to constantly check the temps and when it's crashed, it's to late to check).
Does anyone have an idea of what the problem could be? I personally think it's GPU related cause (ever since win11) it has trouble with playing video too especially if I have graphic acceleration on in the browser I'm using).
Hope anyone can point me to some ideas.

Summary - This build primarily relies on Hold person or hold monster, and divination wizard will help guarantee these spells to succeed through use of portent die. I also use LOTS of terazul, a haste potion that lasts two turns but doesn't require bonus action, very powerful and more importantly very easy to farm, cheap too! Making the build - Eldritch blasters always seemed weak to me with limited gear, oftentimes, builds i see solely rely on crit gear and risky ring, so i never thought i would actually make an act 3 no gear run with eldritch blast as my primary source of damage. I only ever considered it cause someone requested it.
I started off with some kind of warlock/thief/fightesorc abomination, it did not end well. Not only was i missing half my blasts, but the damage was pretty damn low as well. A couple of days later i read some people in this sub talking about divination wizards, so i got to brainstorming again, tested it on raphael and it came out pretty okay! A couple more days later, u/Ozymandius666 commented about this item called Terazul, which just happens to be the strongest source of haste in the game. this build would have been considerably weaker without it.
LEVELS
stats - 16 con, 15 int, 17 charisma
4 white dragon sorc - get hold person and invisibility. feat ability improvement +1 int, +1 charisma
4 life cleric - feat +2 charisma, prepare sanctuary, and create water
2 divination wizard - learn scrolls - summon elemental, hold monster. NOTE!: keep portent die reaction toggled off, toggle it on right before casting hold monsteperson.
2 great old one warlock - get agonizing blast and devils sight
BEST SUMMON - earth elemental, this summon has low dex just like your party, so it will have high chance of taking turns together with your characters. can prone, and does extra damage to prone enemies using special multi attack.
PORTENT DIE
you get 2 portent die per long rest, the die number is random, at 16 int your hold monster has a dice check of 15, raphael has +3 to wisdom saving throws, that means you want a portent die of 11 or lower to guarantee hold monster on raphael by replacing his dice roll with your portent die. (11+3 = 14 = fail)
LEGENDARY RESISTANCE
you can bypass legendary resistance by using a portent die, here is how it works:
possibility 1 - enemy fails saving throw, portent die does not trigger, legendary resistance triggers = hold person FAILS!
possibility 2 - enemy succeeds saving throw, legendary resistance does not trigger, you can trigger portent die make saving throw fail = hold person SUCCESS!
so you want gortash/orin to succeed their initial saving throws so you can change it into a failure. worst case is they fail three in a row and trigger legendary resistance three times, even if this happens you can still easily kill them as long as you manage your resources properly.

Mazes And Monsters: The Psychological Labyrinth of Made in Abyss

27M 5'8" 150lbs
Only prior health issue was a mucosil tumor they found in my appendix by chance while doing a colonoscopy; they took out the appendix and part of the cecum.
Current issue:
Began 2 months ago. Started as something with my chest, pains in the left side under the pec and higher on the left side, aching that'd last minutes multiple times a day. Later added smaller pains on the upper right of chest.
Went to my new primary care provider about it, they ran bloodwork and an ekg, said I had an arythmia and that my cholesterol was a little high which is weird because I'm very active. I rock climb, teach dance, lift weights, go on walks often; probably just my diet. So cut out caffeine, alcohol, sweets and red meat and they referred me to a cardiologist who said I was probably fine
THEN, a month ago, I was teaching dance and suddenly got this sinking feeling in my chest and got very weak and felt horrible, not pain, but I almost passed out.
Muscled through the lesson, then sat down for an hour to catch myself. Went home and my girlfriend came over because she was worried. That night, still feeling bad, I had this VERY weird sensation in my left arm up to my head. Not pain, but a hyperawareness of the area? It freaked me out enough to go the the ER. They watched me, gave me muscle relaxers and NSAIDs and told me I was perfectly healthy
Whatever that sinking feeling and arm-thing were, since then my chest has mostly been fine, but it began the awful part two of my symptoms
A lot of pain, frequently, in the front upper abdomin/lower chest on the left side where the ribcage is. I was layed up and the episodes started.
The episodes. I would get pain in that left front area, then I'd feel pain in my left elbow and my hand would clench up, then, my left arm muscle would get extremely tight andId get pain in my fingertips. Then very slight pain in my toes, then the same thing with my right arm; clenched hand, extreme muscled tightness that I'd have to stretch and flex out.
These episodes happened frequently, triggered randomly, or when I bent over onto my left side, and ESPECIALLY when I tried to lay down, I had to start sleeping in a recliner.
I had these episodes for two weeks, within a few days the stiffness made it to my chest. Then my neck and throat which seized up with this stiffness and made it very hard to breathe. I had to swallow and flex and stretch repeatedly to get it working again, I couldn't swallow anything but water. I got my throat free, but purposefully didn't stretch the sides of my neck as an experiment and partly out of fear that whatever was causing it might get to my brian, that stiffness lasted 3 days before I stretched it away.
These episodes hit my face, and I felt my eyes burn, not very painful just irritated; and I'm sure they got to my head but I couldn't feel that I guess.
Two weeks of these episodes, my girlfriend and I had been avoiding sex. We caved once and it had started one of my episodes, and I'd tried to spend the night but laying down caused me to wake up with all arms and legs very stiff and pretty numb.
Doctor ordered me a CT scan. Results said I'm perfectly healthy except for a fatty liver, which my dad had too I guess
Two weeks ago my girlfriend and I had sex again and after that I felt better than I had in a month and a half, literally born again, like something had dislodged in my left side where the pain had been. That spot was a little tender, still is, but I could lay down an move much more freely.
This started the third and current phase of my symptoms.
I still have the episodes, though much less painful in that fornt left side. But, now my arms feel like they've lost something, especially the left one where the episodes always start. I guess floppy or loose are good words? And if I lay down sometimes they still go numb, especially if I'm laying on them.
Two days ago I was at a bar with my girlfriend's friends. I tried a 0.0% alcohol beer and had some water. About an hour later my throat muscles seize up. Almost like before, but this time i can't stretch it away. I walked around for half an hour trying to stretch them out but it got worse. I told the girlfriend and she met me in the parking lot where I was struggling to breath. We drove to the ER. It resolved itself while we were waiting, came back for a second, then was gone. ER diagnosed me with Esophageal Spasms and referred me to a Gastroenterologist, waiting for Monday to call them
They told me to start tracking my food, meds, and the episodes and tightness. Started yesterday, all day I had booth the stiffness episodes and slight to moderate throat tightness that would abate and return
Neurologist and Gastroenterologist are the next moves. Every doctor, especially my primary, has said I'm perfectly fine; except for this very late ER doc who I talked to for all of 5 minutes
I'm very not fine, I'm kind of better, but I'm very worried that some serious long term shit is happening with me right now and my doctor is asleep at the wheel

• 2 years on Vyvanse for ADHD, lost access, was happily off it for months but the new primary prescribed Guanfacine, been taking that for a few weeks
  
• I've been layed up for a month, pretty sedentary, but I think I've had an increase in appetite
  
• very rarely I'll shit a bit of blood. Not in the stool, seperate. Seemingly at random, idk why, have for years

i don’t really remember when it started but im positive it was when i was young as i was bullied and i believe covid was a big part of it but ive had social anxiety for years now and i really want it to stop now, im growing older and i need these social skills to help me go far in life but i really don’t know how to stop social anxiety? i constantly think everyone is staring at me and waiting for me to do something wrong or embarrassing and to laugh at me but really thats not happening although its not happening i always have the feeling it is. Recently I released a new YT video essay that I was excited about sharing on my channel. My previous video, also in essay format, seemed to do extremely well relative to expectations.
I don't want to focus on the videos themselves. Some are about games programming, others are about games' mechanics, this one was an attempt at something more opinion based.
Whilst the ratio of likes to views is stronger than I expected (about 1 like per 10 views) the CTR has been very low. I'm trying to think of what lessons to take from this:

• Maybe the title, concept, and overall hook just isn't compelling in a crowded space. This suggests sticking with more factual content, as per previous videos, especially given my unique technical perspective
• The thumbnail announces a concept but not why the concept is important to a viewer. Overall I think this is actually an intrinsic problem with the video itself
• Due to disruptions and work it took me far too long to get this video out. This led me to rush things, ironically. I should have developed the idea in the context of why someone would actually want to watch this content. And done a shorter video to get faster feedback on whether the flavour would work
• It might also be that my concept is just a bad fit for the audience YT thinks I have

Ultimately the low CTR but decent upvotes suggest the problem is at the top of the funnel. I could try different thumbnails but I actually think the content hook is wrong. So I think instead my lesson is about how I develop ideas.

I think I speak for every YouTuber when I say, that they want to grow their channel. And the best way, according to Mr Beast, is to get more views. Also, according to Mr. Beast thumbnails play a huge (if not the most important) role in wether a video gets clicked and watched or not.
Many YouTubers I know change their thumbnail multiple times AFTER a video has been released to get more clicks and more views. This also happened to me several times, while I was actively creating youtube videos. After testing 3 to four different thumbnails for weeks, I knew which performed the best. But this costed me weeks!!!
So I thought to myself: what if we can find a way to pick the best thumbnail BEFORE I release the video. This way, I can make sure to maximise clicks, views and channel growth.
I am thinking about building a solution, where content creators can upload their thumbnail ideas, get a link, share it with the world and let them pick the one they like the most.
As of right now, I know that many people create X posts asking which thumbnail their audience prefers, or create community posts and ask their youtube audience directly. But this has two major flaws:
1) it's way more complicated than simply uploading pictures and clicking a few times.
2) You only reach your audience (which would probably watch your videos anyways)
So what do you guys think about that idea? Would you use something like that? Do you have more questions?

What's your take on the quality of the Galaxy 24 Ultra (USA) for tasks like using coloring apps, browsing Facebook, and watching YouTube? I primarily use it for those activities and for capturing photos and videos to store, but I don't upload content to TikTok, Instagram, or other social media platforms. I do heavily utilize the stylus as well.

I really miss the feeling of youtube some years ago, when it was not as "commercial", with less ads in the platform and less sponsors in the videos. I think I prefer amateur content from small channels, people just talking about their passion instead of trying to run a business out of it.
I was wondering if there is a way to filter or search youtube but removing the channels over a certain amount of followers, or maybe video view based, so that I could find more of that small-creator content. For regular search there was MillionShort for example (it is now paid, but the idea is still very nice).
PS: Not necessarily a criticism, I understand that most people must like this content if they still watch it.
PS2: I'm not really looking for specific channel recommendations. It's more of a way to turn a regular search so that the large channels will be filtered.
