The show kind of made the Starks more rustic than they where in the books. House Stark in the novels where not as wealthy as the Lannister's but they where a lot wealthier than the show.
First lets look at what they wear in the books which is nothing like there costumes in the show.
Side note Lord Rickard owned Steel armour and gold spurs.
When Arya is packing to go to Kings Landing she files where chest with silk and Sansa is fond of blue silk.
In Kings Landing Eddard looked nothing like what he did in the show, he always wore what he called his council silk. Ned also commissions a new uniform for his guards. Long cloaks of heavy grey wool decorated with white satin borders. Their cloaks are pinned with hands of beaten silver representing there Lords office as hand of the King. When he was on the Iron Throne Ned wore a white double embosomed with a grey dire wolf.
In Winterfell at the feast welcoming the King and Royal Family they all dressed grandly, including Benjen Stark. There are high born brothers in the Nights Witch from the north and south and I have never seen one dressed as well as Benjen at that feast, not even Lord Commander Mormont himself. He wears rich black velvet high black leather boots. His wide belt has a silver buckle and very heavy silver chain.
When Bran is attacked by Wildlings he is attacked for what he is wearing and he is second legitimate son and he is wearing a wolfs head broch of silver and jet. Jet is a gemstone and this is not a formal event this is just outriding in the woods.
Jon wears fine blacks and mole skin gloves which would not be cheap. At Winterfell harvest feast Bran is dressed quote, as befits a Prince and Robb wears a bronze crown and Catelyn describes her sons royal Kingly attire as quote magnificent.
Also Theon Greyjoy dressed very well when he was living with Stark in silk and Gold and Balon fears the Starks have made him soft. I doubt Greyjoy money was funding Theon's extravagant lifestyle. When he takes Winterfell he crowns himself Prince of Winterfell and orders and orders a new crown forged with black diamonds and chunks of gold. Where did he get the gold and diamonds if not from Winterfell's plundered treasury. And before Winterfell Bran and Luwin gave the Manderley's gold and build a royal fleet and mint coins.

The water is piped through walls and chambers to heat them, making Winterfell more comfortable than other castles during the harsh northern winters.

There is a narrow tunnel inside of the inner wall stretching halfway around the castle, allowing travel from the south gate all the way to the north gate without interruption.[19]
We know Sansa loves lemon cakes and lemon trees do not grow naturally in the north importing lemon seeds to Winterfell from the reach or Doren would not be cheap. My guess would be the seeds came form Doren as one need only sail up the narrow sea than the up the White Knife.
Finally Maester Luwin has his own turret and mentions having servents of his own. The Starks top servants have servants
Not as wealthy as the Lannister but it clear Ned and Robb after him where unlike in the show 2 of the wealthiest man in the world.

I'm currently earning about £150k/year as a marketing consultant operating through a UK Limited Company (no employees, minimal expenses). The majority of this comes through key clients who I have long-term relationships with. It's been fairly stable for the last three years, but as a consultant, there's always a sense of uncertainty, so I've been fairly diligent in living below my means.
I pay myself £50,270 a year through a mix of PAYE + dividends (within the 20% basic rate tax band in the UK). The rest of my income sits in an interest-earning business account. I do not make any pension contributions, as I'm not comfortable with the idea of locking away funds until I'm 60.

I'm currently living in Thailand with my girlfriend. I am the main breadwinner while she is a culinary student. Our living expenses are <100-150k baht/month (£2-3k/m), and we live fairly comfortably with this amount. We could actually reduce this with some budget planning.

- Heavy Frigate/Frigate (mostly intact, only battle damage). The skyward steel book said the reward is about 1/2 price of the ship, should i use that?

- The Sun of Gold book mentioned that the smallest head quarter costed about 10k. A normal worker’s (guard, lawyer…) is about 10 credit per day. By that logic, they have to work for more than 3 years without sleeping, eating or spending money to buy a home (in practice it should take much longer, because a single store is not the same as a home). I, 25M, am married to my wife, Sasha, 28F. She comes from a pretty wealthy background while I decidedly do not. My dad left before I was born and my mum died when I was 11. I've mostly 'gotten over it', as much as one can, 'get over' something like that. However I'm still sensitive on any so called 'jokes' on that.
I graduated summa cum laude, and went straight into investment banking. I met my wife when I was 23, and fresh into it, but after 3 years I earn pretty well. My wife is a lawyer. Now I love my wife and she loves me (obviously) but her family hatess me. Like from the depths of their souls, hates me. I've been called a gold-digger, a low-life and a few more vague insults on my table-manners.
I went to a 'party' with her the other day, one of those fancy shmancy things where everyone drinks cHaMpAgNe and complains about this that and the other, talking about oh we spent sOoOOo much money on renovations, *gasp*. And I got the usual mild comments from wife's family and close friends on where my wife 'picked' me up from.
Lacy, I don't think, knew about my family history before. We were talking about dads, don't ask me why and I got a question on what my dad did, I said I didn't know, never met the guy. Lacy made this kind of exaggerated gasp and went 'oohh, well we all know why you're with her [my wife] then don't we?'
I acted all confused and she got flustered, and just kept going with 'well... you know'. My wife tried to move the conversation along but by this point I wasn't letting it go, I kept pushing, and pushing until Lacy finally said, 'well you two don't exactly have the same... finances do you' and then responded with, you're right. I make quite some more.
Lacy by this point was too embarrassed to keep going, I'd kind of ruined the vibe, but the night continued, this isn't the kind of event you walk away from. We went, which was when shit genuinely went down. She told me it was crazy of me to keep pushing on that point and turn one comment into one of them most embarrassing moments of her life and now everyone in her circle must think she's some kind of failure to earn so much less than her husband, and I'd ruined everything.
But its not like I lied. I'm just tired of being treated like shit in her circle. My wife is upset though, and I do care about her, so I need to know, AITA?

I have come to some conclusions
First, it appears that they are introducing a new and 3rd currency. One wise guy once told me, that I should avoid at all cost any game with more than 1 currency, and here we go straight to the 3rd: The Valor
I was discussing with my game friends, how they could implement the announced Platinum Slot. Some speculations were like "a random slot among the army that beat the first raid", and others said that it would be like a selection slot like when you beat a level in a regular Dungeon.
But now we have the conclusion: You earn Valor points, and then you will be able to spend them accordingly to get Platinum Slots
What does this mean?
The price of gold WITH offers is around 300 units per $1 in the best scenario (could be worse in most cases, and much worse if you buy straight from the gold store). So this means that approximately we are taking about $50 to upgrade from Level 10 to Level 11 in SLOW MODE because, you have to wait for the 8 gems to appear in the daily shop + you have to wait for the legendary cores to appear + you have to wait for the 25 stars to appear.
Most whales run in FAST MODE, which means:
Most whales that have been spending $10K on many mobile games won't see this as big money because with $9K they could be upgrading 30 minis to level 11 (if they don't already have them, and I'm not counting valor because I don't really know if it will be free with Raids ultimately)
This is the future of PVP. No single real competitive like Clash Royale SK Calalas players would ever consider this worth. It's plain obnoxious, the PVP ecosystem they are building.
The only thing I know, is that unless there is a PVP LEVEL 10 cap, I'm done with this game by next season, because Level 30 cap is not going to happen:

- And the worst part: Level 10 minis have been prohibited for months. Now that some people are reaching there, here comes a new degree of prohibitive-ness with level 11. If level 10 was historically very expensive, level 11 is going to be massively expensive

- 1 Legendary Core ~ 4K gold
- 25 stars x 90 ~ 2K gold
- 8 × 25K (200K gold for base 20) experience Gems (500gold per gem) ~ 4K gold
The price of gold WITH offers is around 300 units per $1 in the best scenario (could be worse in most cases, and much worse if you buy straight from the gold store). So this means that approximately we are taking about $50 to upgrade from Level 10 to Level 11 in SLOW MODE because, you have to wait for the 8 gems to appear in the daily shop + you have to wait for the legendary cores to appear + you have to wait for the 25 stars to appear.
Most whales run in FAST MODE, which means:

Hey all!
I recently completed my up to date apple ecosystem, including my Mac. I was thinking which other device would I like to add if i didn’t care about money too much.
Funnily enough there are two devices I never had, always loved and to this date get jealous of. These are the 27” 5K iMac and the 12” MacBook. I think that these two were the pinnacle in Apple’s design. Today’s Mac’s are infinitely better and are on top of the their game, while these weren’t on top even during their time. But they were so nice!
Unfortunately, I was broke AF in a developing country during those years (I had to save for more than 6 months to buy a base iPhone 7 haha).
Nowadays my ecosystem is kind of high end (16” M3 Max 64GB, iPhone 14PM, iPad Pro 12.9 M1 with Magic Keyboard, Apple Watch, AirPods) and there isn’t anything that I would like from newer devices I don’t have. (It’s kind of thing for me but I do like my apple devices a lot, it feels like a small way to see everyday that I have actually made something happen. As little of an achievement as it is for many I never thought I would own a top of the range macbook like my M3 Max now!).
I thought of buying a 27” 5K iMac a few months ago to use as a home desktop and monitor for my Mac. Then I figured that it’s very cumbersome to use it as a monitor and can only be done through glitchy 3rd party apps. So overall I think the time came and past for these devices, and I have no reason to get either.

I recently completed my up to date apple ecosystem, including my Mac. I was thinking which other device would I like to add if i didn’t care about money too much.
Funnily enough there are two devices I never had, always loved and to this date get jealous of. These are the 27” 5K iMac and the 12” MacBook. I think that these two were the pinnacle in Apple’s design. Today’s Mac’s are infinitely better and are on top of the their game, while these weren’t on top even during their time. But they were so nice!
Unfortunately, I was broke AF in a developing country during those years (I had to save for more than 6 months to buy a base iPhone 7 haha).
Nowadays my ecosystem is kind of high end (16” M3 Max 64GB, iPhone 14PM, iPad Pro 12.9 M1 with Magic Keyboard, Apple Watch, AirPods) and there isn’t anything that I would like from newer devices I don’t have. (It’s kind of thing for me but I do like my apple devices a lot, it feels like a small way to see everyday that I have actually made something happen. As little of an achievement as it is for many I never thought I would own a top of the range macbook like my M3 Max now!).

As a capitalist I would think the idea of people ``voting with your dollar” would get him hard. Destiny has defended his support for the war against Hamas. I haven’t seen him defend his position that American universities should be using their endowments to assist Israel in their war. I think it’s very important to point out that if you grow up hearing rockets flying over head, are told in school about all the violence Hamas and those that came before have committed against Israelis (but for propaganda reasons they’d probably say jews rather than israelis) and and that the Gazains have always wanted to kill jews (calling them jews not israelis) and then you’re trained in the IDF and sent into Gaza you might make statements via humorous skit or whatnot about enjoying killing Gazians or that not enough Gazians have been killed while in a bombed out apartment complex in Gaza. What I assume is happening a little bit more than TikTok posts being made is people shooting rather than not because they've been radicalized. Destiny is correct; we need to talk about the radicalization that if Gazians are experiencing then young Iraelis must be experiencing too.

From Destiny’s comments it seems as though he prefers for Americans to be so wrapped up in their own survival that they aren’t thinking about international affairs.
What makes Steven valuable to online politics and philosophy is not that he’s a progressive but his desire to put in the work, show that work being done, to become educating about topics and then expose others for not being educated. 99.9% of factual matters Destiny knows and remembers about this conflict than many scholars. That’s impressive and very important to show people that if you can put in 7 hours a day, 6 days a week, not just read but study for those hours you can come close to having nearly scholarly knowledge on the topic. Obviously there's a difference between having the knowledge and bringing new knowledge to the academy’s attention, that realm is still best left to the scholars but it's incredibly empowering for us all to know that if you put in the work it is possible to know more than 99% of the population on a topic in a short amount of time.

Looking to build my first desktop for a relative to replace their ~15 year old desktop that's been problematic of late. No real hardware/speed requirements, but they wanted a built in sd card reader, optical drive and VGA which I think I've got. Not sure if the PSU and CPU cooler is a bit overkill or not, I think a modular PSU is the way to go but I couldn't find it in a lower wattage. PC won't be used for anything other than web browsing and watching videos/viewing photos so perhaps 16GB of ram is a bit much but from my understanding, 16 is kind of the minimum these days.
Any advice on what I've missed or ways to save a bit more money would be welcome.

Ok, while thinking over the events, and reading Feast for Crows, I found a specific line in a Cersei chapter that had me thinking.
I know most of us are aware that Blood was a former gold cloak brute who was hired by Daemon to carry out the murder of one of Aegon's sons, while Cheese was hired to help navigate the secret passages of the Red Keep, as a ratcatcher he knew them like the back of his hand. After the murder takes place, we know Blood is captured two days later at the Gate of the Gods with a bloody bag. He was severely tortured for 13 days, revealing that he was going to bring the head to Daemon at Harrenhal.
Now we know all the people involved were Daemon, Mysaria, Blood and Cheese. Daemon dies from splattering on the surface of the Gods Eye lake and becoming fish food most likely. Mysaria gets whipped to death and dies naked on the cobblestones, Blood is tortured for 13 days then dies, but Cheese is the odd one out that goes missing completely and never is mentioned again.
So it had me thinking, all of these people die but one of them just happens to get away scott free, never seen again conveniently. I at first thought it was just a simple plot hole that George forgot to go back to, but when reading over a Cersei chapter in Feast where it is describing Jaime's findings when searching for Tyrion in the walls, this excerpt is mentioned,
A passage to the black cells had been found, and a stone well that seemed to have no bottom. They had found a chamber full of skulls and yellowed bones, and four sacks of tarnished silver coins from the reign of the first King Viserys. They had found a thousand rats as well... but neither Tyrion nor Varys had been amongst them,
The basis of the theory I'm getting at, is that these yellowed bones are Cheese's, the sacks of coin are the payment he was given by Daemon through Mysaria most likely. Now how Cheese died is the big question. I think what happened is after the events of B&C took place, they fled back into the walls, into the deeper parts of the castle, Cheese led him to where he stashed the bags of silver before they went up to commit the murder. Cheese was in this for the money, not so much because of loyalty for Daemon. Blood was though, he was a brute and an idiot, I think he fatally wounded Cheese, didn't care about the money, he considered Cheese a loose end and may have been told to do it by Mysaria. He then left him there where he was found later by rats and consumed till nothing was left but rotten bones. Blood was alone because he had already disposed of Cheese. The thousand rats are a giveaway to this ratcatcher's fate also, most likely drawn to the remains.
Also fun extra detail but the chamber full of skulls was probably all the people who helped build the red keep in Maegor's era, who he killed, probably sealed them away deep in the castle, out of sight, out of mind.

So I am getting really annoyed with having to spend actual money to get moonstones while i’m sitting on over 3.7 million dollars worth of gold coins. I feel like the developers should make it so that you can use gold coins towards buying moonstone packs because come on a girl is broke😭. Just aggressive food for thought, I understand they need to make money somehow but we aren’t even getting long story quests or everything is being dragged out to the point where you sometimes forget about what happened previously when the next part randomly pops up. At least let us use our hard earned gold coins to buy moonstones and get shop items that we only get if we have enough moonstones.
