CONTEXT IS IMPORTANT for the sake of understanding. Sorry if it’s long but any advice/help/opinions would be greatly appreciated, really anything helps. I’m 19 years old and have just finished my spring semester of college. Sort of. I went to a big college first out of town, my main financial aid fucked me over (& didn’t let me know until a week after classes started), so I had to switch at semester to my home state’s university. Anyway, this year was kind of tough for me lost a couple family members & my boyfriend had it rough, lost his best friend and dad within a few months of each other. Then we find out I’m pregnant. I wasn’t sure what I really wanted to do but didn’t get to make that choice either because I miscarried sometime later. The whole situation was hard & my life felt like a fuckfest that came crashing down so I went back to my hometown & figured out stuff with school, finished everything mostly online and passed. While back in my hometown, I stayed with my boyfriend.
My boyfriend is 19 and we’ve been together a year & a half but known and been friends with each other since middle school. We actually dated in the 8th grade until he had to move out of state, then when he came back we started hanging out and here we are. My circle is small & I don’t ever really make or have any friends but he’s my absolute best friend. Even if we wouldn’t have chose to date after he came back to town, I’m convinced we would’ve been good friends. That’s just the type of person he is and we were great friends before (with acknowledgment that we’re not 14 anymore ofc). My family liked him or seemed to at least put on a really good front that they liked him, especially my mom.
It’s a well known fact in my family that my mom and I just don’t get along. She kept me quite literally locked away as the Cinderella child, especially in high school I was kept on a very tight leash when I did go out and do stuff. Yeah I had my fun still when she wasn’t in a bad mood/something didn’t need cleaned/ a child didn’t need to be picked up/dropped off. My friends in high school never invited me ANYWHERE lmao but after a while I just kinda dealt w it to avoid her taking my whole life away. I didn’t know how to use a crosswalk like in intersections until I was 15 lmao I was so sheltered sorry ANYWAYS, I turned 18 and it was like I had a brand new mother for a bit until the fear of me leaving wore off.
Long story short, the summer before I left for college (last summer) I didn’t have anywhere else to go & my only friend wasn’t in any position to help me out so I moved in with boyfriend. My mom did the absolute most, almost got me fired from my job & ambulance ended up being called from how much of a tantrum she threw. It was so ridiculous that she refused to tell anybody what happened when people asked because she said it’s too embarrassing for her.
Just like that, she flipped and was saying some terrible stuff about my boyfriend. He had a VERY rough upbringing which she knows some stuff about. She took that and twisted the narrative to make him seem like some sort of charity case that took advantage of her generous & good graces. She calls him the hungry kid who hung out w her daughter. She said he’s no longer allowed at the house just out of spite. He never ever said a word to her or anybody or about her when she had the worst to say about him, he never was disrespectful or like even showed up to the house idrk what that was for. Even when I moved out & she drained my entire savings I had worked for since I was 15, he never said anything bad about her just that i was going to be okay and he’s gonna help me figure it out. Not only that but she shunned me for a long long time & refused to talk and look at me after I moved out, which made me feel incredibly guilty and like I had to see her and my siblings every single day to compensate. My little brother is 5 and doesn’t really understand but my mom didn’t try to enlighten him or kid proof it, just let him scream and cry and claw at my legs whenever I’d leave the house.

Fast forward to today, I went to college, I was pregnant & miscarried, finished my semester and am back in my hometown. Over the breaks in college, I’ve stayed at my moms cause she expected me to and her & I’s relationship has gotten so much better with distance. Between her and boyfriend, they were my biggest support especially with the recent event. But the only conversation they’ve had is when him and I went to talk to my mom in person when I found out I was pregnant. Not sure where she stands with him, I’m sure she doesn’t like him still and probably hates him more since we did technically make her worst fear as a mother come true at age 19.
Im living with her again mainly cause I don’t want to be shunned again and i physically cant deal with the debilitating anxiety and guilt every single day, I wanted to try to focus my energy on healing from my miscarriage with other stuff before I have to start classes at the community college here. Boyfriends house family is getting very challenging for him and is deteriorating his mental health, so he wants to get a place regardless. I really just want my own space where I’m not feeling constantly overstimulated and I miss living with him a lot if I’m being honest. We make the best team and it’s so easy with him. I catch myself getting so excited looking at furniture even from the thrift or cooking meals with him or decorating with our fkn forest of plants combined lmao. I miss him making breakfast for me before I wake up and folding laundry together and grocery shopping with him. He’s paying 6 months rent in advance so I don’t have to worry about getting enough hours & can enjoy my summer and actually rest, both of us have a pretty thick cushion to fall back on too just in case. So finances aren’t a problem I don’t think tell me if I’m wrong please. My mom isn’t too keen on the idea I think she just doesn’t want me to make the same mistakes she made, which I understand all too well because I was also there and she was left with half of every pair of shoes she owned, I mean he took literally half of everything. Even in the case that we do break up and then I’m stuck with an apartment with my ex and have completely fucked myself over, at least I was able to make my own mistake for the first time and learned from it? I don’t know what to tell my mom or how the conversation should go. I don’t wanna be shunned again but then again I’ve never once been able to just do something and justify it with “it’s my life”. Stayed at a friends house this weekend with mutual friends and they raved about how nice her living room is and I was baffled.
It’s an extremely dark grey with one wall with equally dark grey wallpaper. Brown sofas and a yellow armchair. Huge jar with pampas grass. Grey carpet with a cream rug. Black plastic tv stand, concrete side tables.
She must think my deco is gross and shit. But I genuinely was so baffled by their reaction.

As a vegan couple in our late 20’s/early 30’s, I find vegan reviews SUPER helpful - so I thought I’d leave an honest review of our week vacation at the Royaltan Bavaro’s All-Inclusive resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
Room: It’s a family resort, so set your expectations for some wear and tear. Our room (building 18, 4th floor) had definitely seen better days - specifically, the furniture. It felt like everything needed to be sanitized, but I’m also a big germaphobe. We didn’t get sick or anything and housekeeping does a good job at tidying up, but just set expectations - it’s not going to be a beautiful, luxurious room, but we felt comfortable
Pools/Beach: - The lazy river was awesome, probably one of our favorites bc our inner child is alive and well - it’s a very SLOW lazy river, but all the splash features kept things fun and there’s even 2 small slides you can use on opposite sides. There’s also the dips lazy river water bar, which was so cool. - There’s also a main Royaltan pool and infinity pool with another water bar - both were good, nothing too special, but no shade - We weren’t diamond club, but didn’t feel like we missed out on the diamond pool - didn’t look like anything special either, but they do have specific activities just for the diamond pool - There’s also a kiddy mini water playground (looked fun, with shade for the parents) and a shallow kiddie pool near the main pool with shade as well. - Finally, the beach palapas were cute and spread out if you want to find shade by the beach - we went in the off-season (Mid-May), but even then they filled up quick, so best of luck 😂 the beach was kept pretty clean too, despite the sorgasm/seaweed
Other Amenities: - There’s a very uneven putt-putt course - fun, but definitely a little goofy without any course decoration - The kids clubhouse looked fun too, but we didn’t spend time here - looked like you could draw, play pool, basketball, and they had some lil kid toys too - Score’s Bar also had a pool table and handles most of the nightlife entertainment like light dancing and karaoke - There’s a casinos, but we don’t gamble so nothing to review on this - We also had access to the private pool cabanas - they were alright, no view of the beach or anything so meh. However, the attending staff are fantastic and you can order diamond beach menu items (none being vegan though so 🤷🏼‍♀️)
Spa/Gym - The gym is great, lots of diverse equipment/weights with TRX. There’s about 4 treadmills and 1 of everything else though, so if you’re there during the busy season you may have to wait for sets. They have plenty of activities throughout the day too, like yoga, Pilates, kickboxing, aqua fit, etc. all very easy level though - Spa was fine, we did hydrotherapy and the 100min couples massage/scrub. Hydrotherapy was just an indoor warm pool and the massage/scrub wasn’t the greatest, but the average person with less spa experience would likely find it all to be great. Just definitely nothing special
Entertainment: Every night, they do a small activity like Just Dance for the kids around 7pm. Following, they’ll do some type of competition for guest volunteers (dance, MJ impersonations, etc). After that, a live band or performance - the circus show is a must, very fun for the kids and adults alike. Aside from that, it’s all okay - we enjoyed ourselves
Food: As vegans, we were on our own a bit. Buffet items are not clearly labeled (mashed potatoes, for example, might have have butter - we could never get a clear answer from staff). The restaurants also didn’t have great options, or just weren’t vegan in the first place. Seemed like staff didn’t really understand veganism - we spoke with the front desk to get accommodations and they printed an English/Spanish list of what we couldn’t have (no leche, no queso, no carne, etc), but that only got us so far as well. Just a lack of knowledge from the staff - we were disappointed bc this resort was advertised and reviewed as a good vegan option (and we had a great time with minimal options IE fries, rice, and beans), but I definitely wouldn’t recommend for vegans
Staff: Hit or miss, some staff were spectacular and outstanding - others seemed a bit unwelcoming and it made us feel guilty to ask for things. Service was excellent, they were all superb and genuinely wanted to help make our stay a great experience - it just wore on our conscious occasionally, which I wasn’t expecting. Just something to note - overall very friendly though! We also tipped our servers and staff, in case that helps frame our experience
Overall thoughts: We had a great time! Best memories we’re excursions, but Royaltan Bavaro was very fun and we’d recommend it to our omnivore friends/fams/couples looking for a holiday inn level resort - stable, safe choice, good experience overall but nothing incredible

Working a getting the parts for a homemade 22, im following the instructions of another person, and this is what he writes for the part:
"Folding stocks also require a button spring. I used a spring from a HF kit.. it doesnt have to be perfect sized just needs to have enough tension to hold the lock."
I've been looking and cant figure out what HF is or what kit he is talking about.

I'm looking for a Snape Centric fanfiction where a young snape ends up looking into the Mirror of Erised and sees himself looking handsome in a suit and Lily Evans looking radiantly beautiful in a white wedding dress underneath the moonlight,
Seeing his hearts most deepest desire Snape decides he wants to become a better person for Lily and engages the help of Narcissa Black and Regulus Black in creating a list of his faults so he can begin correcting them by ticking them off one by one. He ends up calling this ridiculously long list something stupidly long and corny like "Severus Snape's Most Amazing Transformation Plan Operation Moonlight Metamorphosis"
Two other things I remember about this Fic is that Lucius Malfoy and Narcissa Black are actually in love and trying to get a marriage contract put in place but Narcissa's Parents Cygnus and Druella Black (neé Rosier) don't really see the benefits of their marriage and want Narcissa to try courting Evan Rosier who's basically a chauvinistic pig and a 2nd or 3rd cousin.
Because of this Lucius ends up convincing Severus who is genuinely his friend to pretend to date Narcissa where they essentially are force to hold hands and kiss on the cheek in public as they pretend to court while Lucius Slowly wears down Cygnus for a love marriage contract. Severus agrees to scare Evan Rosier off with his magical prowess while Narcissa pretends to be his girlfriend all the while helping him fix his faults so he can win over Lily Evans.
The other thing that I remember about this Fic is that during one of the summers when Severus is at home in Cokeworth his drunken bum of a father finds him working out rather pathetically and essentially decides to train him army boot camp style by helping him work out and forcing him to eat more to gain muscle mass. Turns out Tobias Snape was a war veteran from Vietnam who suffers from PTSD and survivors guilt and that's why he drinks.
Another Scene involving Severus and I think Lily later on Severus gets poisoned I think and Lily not knowing what to do subconsciously apparates them to Tobias who is drunk but still puts together a homemade kitchen table blood transfusion. This is where he makes a remark about trying to keep them alive and surviving his haunted past.
