Thanks to some previous recommendations here, I helped my parents file for an appeal several weeks ago as they never heard back from the caseworker(s) on their renewal. The date is scheduled for next week. The county finally called 2 days ago and their benefits decreased from $403 to $329. While they are very appreciative for any amount that they get, the number doesn't actually make up to their expenses/deductions.
Is property tax from home ownership considered a deduction/expense? The mortgage is paid off. When I enter their monthly property tax on SNAPSCREENER, their benefits go up to $520 but if I leave it out, it's the same amount they are getting now. I'm wondering if the caseworker forgot to include their property tax or if Ohio actually doesn't consider it as an expense since it's not a "rent or mortgage."

Bruno Fernandes spoke to Sky Sports after Man Utd's win against Newcastle, where he cryptically discussed his future at the club; However, the club do not want Fernandes to leave this summer; Wayne Rooney urged the team to build a team around the Man Utd captain
Bruno Fernandes told Sky Sports he will leave Man Utd "if the club doesn't want to have me" amid speculation over his future.
After Man Utd's 3-2 win against Newcastle on Wednesday, Fernandes gave a somewhat cryptic update on his future to Sky Sports.
The Portugal international has two years remaining on his contract at Old Trafford, but has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich and Saudi Arabia in the summer.
Fernandes told Sky Sports, "I feel that the club wants me to be a part of the future, so, as I said always, I don't want to be a player that the club doesn't want to have.
"If for some reason they don't want to have me, I will go, but if they want me I will stay."
Erik ten Hag was then seen dragging Fernandes away from the interview.
At his post-match press conference, the Man Utd boss added: "No, absolutely the club wants to keep Bruno. There's no question, I think.
"I have to see the interview but, as far as I know, he loves Manchester United.
"He always gives his best. He's an example - even with injuries, he's playing. He loves football, but he wants to win."

I am exhausted all the time trying to do everything. I have been trying to wake up at 5 am to do a short workout during the week before work, which is great except I pass out in the evening. Like we’re talking 8 pm. Then my husband gets upset for having to put out 4 year old to bed.
Recently I’ve been skipping some workouts and sleeping more so I can have energy in the evenings. I still pass out, but it’s after our child goes to bed. Now my husband is trying to encourage me to be more disciplined and workout and not loose my progress. I get where he’s coming from, my father died in his 50s of a heart attack so I don’t have the best genetics.
I think I might be tired as well due to stress. I started a new job in March and it’s been a ride. A few weeks in, the part time admin quit and I was stuck doing the work of 2 people for a month. My workplace was supportive and did help me but it was a lot. We have hired a new person, but I’m still training her. It’ll probably be another month before things calm down and we find a rhythm.
Because of this I’ve been doing extra hours at work. I’m starting to cut back to my 35 hours a week that I should be working. (I’ve probably been working around 40 hours.) My husband complains our child spends too much time at daycare, but he can’t do pick up or drop off because his work hours constantly change. He has a good job but low seniority so he gets really long shifts at work. His days off vary so if our child needs any doctor’s appointments or anything like that it falls on me. My work has been very understanding but it’s hard being the only one that can do appointments. A lot of the mental load is on me. Shopping for shoes for our child, hair cuts (for our child, I haven’t gotten a haircut in months), taking my elderly cat to the vet for monthly arthritis shots. My husband does what he can but with the nature of his schedule a lot falls on me.
My mother has a rare autoimmune disease as well. She just got diagnosed in December but started experiencing symptoms in September. She’s getting better now, but for a long time she couldn’t drive or anything by herself. She needed a lot of help and a lot fell on my sister. I have tried to help the best I can but between having a young child, living in the county, managing my family, and starting a new job I haven’t been able to help as much as she would like. I feel bad because a lot has fallen on her for her whole life. We’re just in different stages of life. Her children are in high school and university while mine is only 4 and as I’ve said a lot falls on me. I’ve been going over once a week to help my mom with stuff but next week I told my mom I can’t come because I’m finally going to go pick out my glasses. I went to the optometrist like a month and a half ago but couldn’t stay to pick out my glasses because I had to help my mom and haven’t been able to go back. My glasses are so old and worn the finish has started to come off the lenses. I offered to come help next Saturday but my sister is taking her shopping that day. She wanted me to come this Saturday, but I have my cat’s injection and the vet books up on Saturday so I can’t reschedule that.
This post ended up being much longer than I anticipated. I don’t know if there’s any point to this. I’m struggling to find balance in my life.

Hello, just wanted to make this post to get some advice on what to do. I just wrapped a short film yesterday that was filmed in orange county over the last couple days. I have been on the project for the last couple weeks as I had a really busy pre-production schedule preparing everything for my department.
I was really excited about this project but it turned into an absolute nightmare as soon as we started filming. Our call time was 9am our first day and wrap supposed to be 9pm but I didn't get to leave as the executive producer demanded last minute changes which caused me to be unable to leave until after 11:30pm. And then had to go home and work on those changes. I only was able to get 2 hours of sleep. Day 2 my call time was 9:30am but had to show up earlier because I had to have a meeting with an actor before my call time because of the last minute changes so I got there at 9am and they continued to make last minute changes all day long which caused me to be there till 1am the next day. They didn't offer me a hotel till I was there so late prepping for the next day. That evening when I got home I still had to continue prepping for that next morning causing me to only get 2 hours of sleep. My call time day 3 was 10am but I had to get there early to prep for the day because of all the changes so I got there at 9am. Production said they wouldn't be paying overtime so on day 3 I walked out at 10:45pm.
Beyond all the last minute changes and craziness one of the crew members said he felt like women on the crew were getting treated differently than the crew that men were in and felt like they were just here for a paycheck. And that we were not passionate about our roles or our department. Mind you, the crew that were women were the smallest. Only one or two in them and the crew with women were all the creative departments where the movie would have been absolutely impossible without. HMUA, Wardrobe, Art Director, Production Designer etc. And we absolutely killed it. Camera of course had 5 and grip & electric 3 people some even doing nothing while we were all being thrown last minute changes all day long.
This misogynist sentiment was felt all throughout the project and it just didn't seem like the Director, Producers and other depts with men really cared or respected us women. Many of the men on set did not say points when moving things and even bumped into me with equipment multiple times. Last looks were rarely called. And the first AD did a horrible job running the set as he didn't properly or effectively communicate the filming schedule. The director was very indecisive constantly changing things and cared more about the client than making sure his crew were properly taken care of. The entire shoot lacked efficiency. They compromised on the safety, wellbeing and the ability to create a healthy working environment.
There also was no first aid kit on set.
I am really upset and feel like I was taken advantage of and mistreated. How should I move forward? I would like to continue working in the industry but I just feel really depressed and hopeless now after this project.

Hear me out, I know most of you are going to say, “yes stupid, you need a lawyer.” But please hear me out. (Apologies for any formatting issues, I am on mobile.)
My now ex-husband and I were together for 15 years, married for 13, and have now been separated for 3 years. I’d like to move forward with divorce, and I’m the one that initiated the separation/divorce. It’s been very civil for the entire 3 years; no fighting and yelling, no custody issues with the kids (11m and 13f), I rent a home a mile away from his for ease of the kids going back and forth, everything is pretty decent. However, I keep getting the advice from friends and family that I need a lawyer. My issue is, I cannot afford one, but I also don’t qualify for any sort of state or county legal assistance either. Here are a few more details: - we both want 50/50 custody, which is what we’ve been doing the last 3 years; although the kids are with me probably more like 60% of the time because I’ve always been the ‘default parent’, so they do ask to come stay with me on some of “his days”, but he’s very flexible with schedule changes, as am I. - I promised him I would not go for either spousal support or child support. He does make significantly more money than me, and since our finances weren’t shared in the marriage, he has quite a bit of money I didn’t know about throughout the marriage, which pisses me off, but I’m not going to go after it. I also don’t think it’s fair to ask him for child support when we have 50/50 custody. He does agree to pay for their medical insurance as well as their cell phone. - we own a house, which I moved out of when I asked for the divorce 3 years ago. Because there isn’t a ton of equity in the house (we bought it for $360k in 2020, there’s about $315k to pay on the mortgage, and if he were to sell it today, would probably be able to sell it for about $360k), I am not asking him for anything in exchange for him getting to keep the house. Since I’m the one that asked for the divorce, I felt like it was only fair at the time, but I’ve been told this is stupid. However, I refuse to force him to sell the house just so I can have a couple grand, because that’s my kids’ house 50% of the time, in a neighborhood they love. I also let him keep everything in our house essentially, except some sentimental things, frankly because I just didn’t want to go through the hassle of trying to divide up furniture etc.
While I make significantly less money than my ex does, I still make “too much” according to the state or county to get any sort of legal assistance. So I ask: because we’ve pretty much agreed upon everything, do I truly even need a lawyer during this divorce? Second, am I being walked all over? And third, are there ANY resources for me at all, for legal assistance, if determined I need it? I am in the state of MInnesota, fyi.
