 | As a longtime Adam the Woo viewer, I wanted to give my thoughts on Adam and his channels. I first stumbled onto ATW circa 2011 or 2012 when I came upon his main channel, the Adam the Woo channel, and was surprised to find someone else out there with an appreciation for filming locations and abandoned places. Mind you, at the time almost nobody else was doing this type of content, namely the filming locations. Adam was a sort of pioneer in this sense. And that theme song was pretty damn catchy. His content was even somewhat edgy at that time. His exploration of the abandoned Nickelodeon Studios STILL (permanently) has him banned from the Universal Orlando properties (it’s probably going to sting when Epic Universe opens next year). I was a somewhat early subscriber to his “second channel, daily vlog channel ‘The DailyWoo’” during the early 5-year daily unedited vlog days. I watched as he took the risk of leaving his job and living out of a van to pursue his passion. While he was untethered from the constraints of life (companionship, children, dependents), it was still a reasonable risk and took a degree of courage nonetheless. I was a viewer for the long-forgotten, short-lived Madame the Woo relationship. I dug his early days in Southern California and some of his collaborations with Jordan the Lion (who also was making exponentially more interesting content at that time than he is now). During that approximately 6-year span of time I found his content interesting and even somewhat inspiring once he started to make money on the platform (once his risk began paying off). In recent years I’ve noticed a marked drop-off in quality and effort. And his main channel (which, I feel, should’ve remained his bread and butter) is all but forgotten, with only the once every year or two upload. That is where his effort and skill was truly on display with reasonably good editing, not the DailyWoo iMovie editing baloney, and engaging content. These days I pick and choose what to watch and opt to skip probably 70% of his content. I think his use of Disney as a content crutch is growing old and lazy and much of his content has a sold-out feel to it. Any “edginess” is long in the rearview mirror. While I appreciate his recently expressed desires to bring his vlogging days to a close and develop a sort of exit strategy for YouTube, I’m not sure how realistic it is. Additionally, this “fit by 50” business in a novel concept when you ponder it over some In-n-Out, but in execution it’s a totally different beast, particularly this notion that he’s going to complete a half-marathon when he has never taken any type of fitness seriously and has shown no type of discipline when it comes to diet and exercise. His wellness endeavors are naïve, laughable, flawed, and unrealistic. I give him credit for making better decisions to aid in him dropping some pounds, but that only goes so far. how come you changed it from tank top to vest? lots of americans confused by vest 😅
because I thought about someone actually saying the phrase ‘tank top’ with a British accent and it sounded so weird and awkward in my mind, ‘vest’ was the more realistic word (at least for people from my region of England lol). Sometimes things that are written in the comic would actually sound quite awkward and odd if the cast said them out loud, so I change them!

was having tori's hair short from the get-go just for the sake of continuity or was there a.... deeper choice there..... i luv all the solitaire references in volume 4 sm so i'll take what i can get in the show hehe
so the thing about in-story haircuts in TV - they are a production nightmare. The show is filmed completely non-chronologically, so if Tori had long hair at the start, that would be a huge amount of extra work for the haimakeup department. It takes at least an hour to get an actor in or out of a wig. It just makes things very difficult and we always have an extremely hectic and tight schedule so we decided it’d be easier for her to just have short hair from the start!
I’m honestly so excited about s3. When you said that the ferris wheel scene was modified does that mean that the talk that Tori has with Charlie about her being asexual will that not be in s3?
yes that’s correct, I’m saving that story for S4 where I can build up to it much more effectively 🙏 you’ll see when you watch s3 that there just wasn’t the room to give that storyline the space it needs!

I believe it depends on country and it’s not up to me, but the rating is likely to increase yes, mostly due to slightly more swearing, sex scenes, and mental health themes. I think it really edges the border between a 12 and a 15 in the UK so I’m really not sure how it’ll be rated!
Also, do you have a favorite episode yet? 👀
I love every episode of s3 truly, but I think ep 4 is something special and maybe the best heartstopper ep I’ve written across all three seasons!! Very proud of it 💖

Henry Maddox has been around for a couple of years now!! When Jonathan told us he wanted to be involved, me and Wren (who created Henry Maddox!) thought this would be the perfect role for him and a great opportunity for a more comedic sequence in the show (while also tying him into some of the themes of that specific ep… but now I’m getting too spoilery) ! (And obvs we had to change the name due to Henry the pug)
I'm curious about the scenes with Geoff. In the comics they're mostly mentioned instead of shown in detail. Will we get to see bits of Charlie's therapy sessions, or will they be shown in a sort of montage?

how come you changed it from tank top to vest? lots of americans confused by vest 😅
because I thought about someone actually saying the phrase ‘tank top’ with a British accent and it sounded so weird and awkward in my mind, ‘vest’ was the more realistic word (at least for people from my region of England lol). Sometimes things that are written in the comic would actually sound quite awkward and odd if the cast said them out loud, so I change them!

the scene is longer in the show, it had to be cut very short for the trailer!
was having tori's hair short from the get-go just for the sake of continuity or was there a.... deeper choice there..... i luv all the solitaire references in volume 4 sm so i'll take what i can get in the show hehe
so the thing about in-story haircuts in TV - they are a production nightmare. The show is filmed completely non-chronologically, so if Tori had long hair at the start, that would be a huge amount of extra work for the haimakeup department. It takes at least an hour to get an actor in or out of a wig. It just makes things very difficult and we always have an extremely hectic and tight schedule so we decided it’d be easier for her to just have short hair from the start!
I’m honestly so excited about s3. When you said that the ferris wheel scene was modified does that mean that the talk that Tori has with Charlie about her being asexual will that not be in s3?
yes that’s correct, I’m saving that story for S4 where I can build up to it much more effectively 🙏 you’ll see when you watch s3 that there just wasn’t the room to give that storyline the space it needs!

So, yeah, talking about the only, and I mean only, officially-released Lord of the Rings-related modern work of media that I subjectively despise.
By now, news has circulated about how poor the work conditions were and just what led to the massive delays, regressive gameplay mechanics and general lack of focus in all aspects. So I don't really feel right in giving the designers that much crap after what they've been through and I hope they do find work again on better, fairer projects.
However, I've been more interested in the questionable design choices for story and character design than gameplay as well as voice-acting. Because, honestly, in something connected with Lord of the Rings, I think people would have been more forgiving (Probably not enough to save it but at least give it a better chance) if the story, characters and performances were interesting despite the horrendous gameplay.
But...well...they're not.
(Keep in mind that I don't actually know how to bring up the images online without getting flagged for something so whoever hasn't seen the designs for the Gollum Game's Gollum, Gandalf, Thranduil, Mouth of Sauron and Shelob, please find at any general game publishing site or just do a quick sweep of Google Images. If there is a way to show up the images with no worries, please tell me.)
Let's start with Gollum himself. Now, what's weird about the Gollum Game is that they seem to be trying to emulate the Peter Jackson/Andy Serkis Gollum in all but the things that actually makes the character work. Let's get this out of the way, yes, that version of Gollum is the best we're ever going to see and nothing can top that. But it is still possible to make your own Gollum work with little relation to the most popular adaptation. Before Lord of the Rings was popularised, Gollum tended to resemble a sort of swamp-thing. The Rankin-Bass adaptation and 2003's The Hobbit Game make him look froggish, almost Morlock-like, which rather suits the themes he gives off. Admittedly, these both came before the Peter Jackson films but still, they worked with the character.
The Gollum game instead seems to resemble a copy of Andy Serkis's Gollum if someone just changed their mind half-way through. Everything about his appearance screams 'We Just Weren't Sure Anymore!'. Even getting past how his facial expressions barely work and the godawful affair that his his hair, he just comes out looking like the OG Gollum's edgy tween cousin. In a way, the more human/hobbit he looks, the less appealing he looks. Compare him to the more froggy-looking Gollums he's just unpleasant to look at and not in the way the character should be. What's sad is that early designs make him look better, more 'Grey-Alien'-ish which probably would have been easier to model.
So yeah, Mearas falls at the first hurdle on that front. Let's talk about the less-meme-worthy character designs and their stories, such as they are.
Gandalf. Hoo boy. Where exactly do you go from once you've decided to make Gandalf the Grey a goddamn brunette?! Did you just not want Gollum to feel left out in the stupid hair department?! Admittedly, that may be more a problem with the graphics than the actual design, he is grey-bearded in concept models. But disregarding that for a moment, Gandalf's apparel just doesn't seem to work. He seems to be dressed in almost Nomad-looking garb with a hat that looks folded in on itself and adorned with baubles and feathers, a furry-collar around a rough-spun cloak and a curved sword (CURVED...SWORD! There, I said it). I might be getting the wrong vibes here but he looks way too rustic and weathered to really suit the aesthetic Gandalf is supposed to give off. He looks more like how Radagast might look in a non-movie-related work. In fact, a lot of people might prefer this design over the one in the Hobbit Movies (I wouldn't. I loved McCoy's Radagast but I understand I might not be in the majority there).
Worse still is that there wasn't really any reason for this. The long grey beard and pointy hat are entirely canon with the Tolkien-verse. You could have just gone with a regular-looking wizard-type appearance and it would have worked better. It wouldn't have looked very original but that's the least of your worries!
And then Thranduil. Now, admittedly, this is not the goofiest-looking design for the King of the Wood Elves, Rankin-Bass still holds that honour. But that's still not a good enough reason to make your character literally look small trees are growing out of his head! Yes, I realise that the intent is for him to look like he has stag horns and leaves and flowers are growing over them but it just doesn't work. The fans on the side of his shoulder-blades look for all the world like toadstools from a certain angle and he seems to actually have the same 'curved...sword' as Gandalf and in almost the exact same position to the point where I'm fairly certain it's a copy-paste job. But what really lets the whole thing down is his face. Looking at that face, what springs to mind, because when I see that, I imagine him as the Elf-equivalent of the Squeaky-Voiced Teen. The modelling on his face makes him look like one of the more dorky characters from Fable, combined with the Goldilocks haircut (What is with this game and hair?!) and you have a character we just can't take seriously.
And that's the main problem because this game is demanding we take it seriously. With the bleak, edgy seriousness of the game, the over-the-top design doesn't really fit. In fact, to some extent, the fact that he looks less goofy than Rankin-Bass is a downside because the vibes are telling us he shouldn't look goofy at all. Then at least we'd know where we stood in terms of intended atmosphere.
And finally, the Mouth of Sauron. Now, he's hard to get down, honestly, he's sort of an enigma in Middle-Earth and that's one of the things that makes him so interesting and I was actually pretty interested in the idea that we'd see how he oversees his domain first-hand. So I don't know what exactly I was expecting from his general appearance...but I was not expecting this! What do I say to this?
I mean, where's his tall, black helm? That's in the book, that's part of who he is, literally, all but implied that his suit of armour has sort of become his prison. This guy has pointed ears. Isn't he supposed to be a human? I admit, I kind of like the whole Nosferatu-ish look he has with his spindly build and ornate, vampirish collar but I just don't think it suited The Mouth of Sauron. This guy probably would have made a more interesting secondary villain in place of the Candle Man.
I can honestly say I rather liked the Shelob design. She's the only character in this game that doesn't like a Horizon Zero Dawn concept art exhibition threw up. I got almost Starcraft-ish vibes off of her but it works, she's alien, she's unnatural and she's intimidating.
You know what's sad? These designs are all interesting in their own way, it's all quite intricate and probably had a lot of work put into it. But it all makes it less relatable and, ironically, almost less interesting. And I wouldn't be surprised if the overly elaborate designs hurt the frame-rate all the more. You probably could have toned down the designs and made them look more grounded and it would have improved things.
I do want to put it on record that these designs aren't bad in themselves. To be completely honest, I'm quite impressed by them. As art, it's actually really good and there's a post from TheGamer from someone who was present for the Digital Art Exhibition for the Gollum Game who pointed out that whoever was doing the design certainly cared a lot more than the game's lead-developers and publishers. And it's very likely that the shortcomings the game had in terms of graphics and modelling hampered what could have been impressive character design. But in terms of tone, it's all over the place. With the very stripped-down gameplay and vague story, the over-the-top designs just feel out of place and highlight just how poor the priorities were here. I like it on its own but it just doesn't work with the game.
So that's the recognisable characters at least. If I do make a part two of this post, it'll be about the OCs, such as they are. And I am working to find something on the lore of these characters without having to purchase the DLC because I absolutely refuse to go down that route. So there you go, my two-cents.

Isn't he supposed to be a human? I admit, I kind of like the whole Nosferatu-ish look he has with his spindly build and ornate, vampirish collar but I just don't think it suited The Mouth of Sauron. This guy probably would have made a more interesting secondary villain in place of the Candle Man.
I can honestly say I rather liked the Shelob design. She's the only character in this game that doesn't like a Horizon Zero Dawn concept art exhibition threw up. I got almost Starcraft-ish vibes off of her but it works, she's alien, she's unnatural and she's intimidating.
You know what's sad? These designs are all interesting in their own way, it's all quite intricate and probably had a lot of work put into it. But it all makes it less relatable and, ironically, almost less interesting. And I wouldn't be surprised if the overly elaborate designs hurt the frame-rate all the more. You probably could have toned down the designs and made them look more grounded and it would have improved things.
I do want to put it on record that these designs aren't bad in themselves. To be completely honest, I'm quite impressed by them. As art, it's actually really good and there's a post from TheGamer from someone who was present for the Digital Art Exhibition for the Gollum Game who pointed out that whoever was doing the design certainly cared a lot more than the game's lead-developers and publishers. And it's very likely that the shortcomings the game had in terms of graphics and modelling hampered what could have been impressive character design. But in terms of tone, it's all over the place. With the very stripped-down gameplay and vague story, the over-the-top designs just feel out of place and highlight just how poor the priorities were here. I like it on its own but it just doesn't work with the game.
So that's the recognisable characters at least. If I do make a part two of this post, it'll be about the OCs, such as they are. And I am working to find something on the lore of these characters without having to purchase the DLC because I absolutely refuse to go down that route. So there you go, my two-cents.

I am a 26 year old Southern European girly, I have learned a few things here and there that I would I like to share with you. This is by no means a step by step guide, but rather a helping hand that can provide some support or advice. This is for everyone, younger girls and older girls, from everywhere and all walks of life. Take from this post what works for you, and leave the rest.
Small disclaimer, these are tips and tricks that have personally worked for me. I don't believe there is one way to look or feel good, rather this is more for girlies who feel a bit lost style wise and need some minor guidance. My focus is more on healthy rather than pretty, since I do believe that if you feel good on the inside, you will also feel good on the outside.

Face
- Skin: Keep it simple, keep it consistent, keep it adapted to your skin needs. Consult with a dermatologist or just do your own research at home (that's what I did!). It took me a while to figure out the products that work for me and the routine. I won't recommend any specific products because each product works very differently. What works for me might not work for you even if we have the same skin type/concerns. My main issues are the occasional spot, big pores and dull skin.
- Night Time: I do a double cleanse at night (oil followed by water cleanser), use retinol, and moisturiser. Vaseline is a game changer if you have any dry or irritations spots on your face. My under eye area is very sensitive and irritates easily with products, and Vaseline is the only thing that works. Also apply Vaseline on your lips before bedtime, you will have the softest lips when you wake up.
- Morning Time: I don't cleanse my face in the morning because otherwise it would get very dry. I wash with cold water, then Vitamin C serum, moisturizer (I love the Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume), and a generous amount of SPF.
- One thing I recommend a lot, is that if a product works well on your skin, you should stop using it after a few months to make sure your face doesn't get used to it and decreases its efficiency. I rotate between 2-3 products, and switch them whenever I finish a product.
- Teeth: Brush twice a day and floss daily. Trust me on this. Flossing is a game changer to make your teeth healthier and whiter. I won't recommend any whitening products because I don't use them as my teeth are very sensitive. But if possible try to schedule an appointment with an hygienist once a year to get your teeth cleaned and remove any buildup. This is super important. And remember that healthy teeth >>> white teeth.
- Eyes/Eyebrow
- If you want to add an extra step to your routine, I recommend getting a lashlift, it lasts around 8 weeks, looks very natural and elegant, and make your eyes pop. You have smaller eyes (like I do), I really recommend this. You can also ask to do a lash tint so your lashes appear even longer. When you do go to a salon do make sure that it has good reviews (ie hygiene), and also make sure that they test all the products on your hand beforehand, so you don't have an allergic reaction in your eyes.
- Getting your eyebrows done is definitely a game changer. I don't do any permanent or semi permanent treatments, other than getting my brows professionally plucked.
- Makeup: I like simple makeup (with the main reason being that I don't know how to do more complicated makeup). The good thing about simple makeup is that everyone looks good with it, and really gives you a confidence boost. I use a skin tint (MAC has a nice one, and Maybelline too) that gives the skin a bit of a glow with some concealer under the eyes and to hide spots. I like adding bit of blush (Rare Beauty is quite nice), some mascara, a bit of eyebrow gel (from Benefit Cosmetics), and a clear lip oil (I really like the Clarins one).
- If I am going out, I do the same routine but I make it more intense. For example, I use a darker blush on my cheeks (MAC Swiss Chocolate), a dark brown lip liner as lipstick with the lip oil, and I also use a bit of shimmer on my eyelids to make them pop (I have very dark brown eyes). I will also use a setting spray in between steps along with setting powder to make it last longer.
Body
- Regarding getting fit, there is no easy way out. It will take months of consistently working out and following specific food regimens. If you can, I would advise getting a personal trainenutritionist to at least get you started on a meal and exercise plan. Having a healthy, and strong body will make you feel so confident and good.
- I would recommend getting a blood test to check on your vitals and make sure you don't have any deficiencies (regarding vitamins or hormones). Taking supplements can really boost your energy and improve your health. Magnesium with Vitamin D is great and has a lot of benefits, but please check with a doctor first.
- Some things help a lot with body confidence like getting your nails done (hands and feet!). Trust me. Get a simple semi permanent gel polish in milky white on both your hands and feet, it looks super natural, lasts for weeks, and makes your hands and feet look amazing and fresh.
- Body care: I recommend using a body brush when you shower, it will make your skin feel really smooth, and you suffer from body acne it will help. Tip: don't keep in the shower and clean your brush regularly, so bacteria doesn't accumulate, and cause issues. After the shower, I like using the Ordinary Glycolic Acid toner on my body, followed by a body oil (I recommend Bio Oil). It makes my skin look amazing, soft and minimises stretch marks, scars and hyperpigmentation. When I go out, I like using Nuxe Or to make things a bit more extra. I like being shiny. I also like using a body moisturiser on my elbows, feet, knees where the skin can get a bit more dry.
- For hair removal, I get laser done since it's quite cheap where I'm from. We Southern Europeans are very very very hairy. It honestly has been a game changer. I know it's not available to a lot of people but it's something that does work really well, specially if you have fair skin and dark hair.
Hair
- I have wavy hair, so this advice will not be useful to a lot of people. I thing hair with layers looks great, and I have my hair cut with long bangs and layers since I was 15 years old. I recently got a big chop, right above my shoulders and I am embracing my natural hair colour. I kept the layers and I think it makes easy to style and maintain.
- I recommend getting a haircut every 3 months, just the tips to keep it healthy. I also use Argan oil on my hair tips, and rosemary water on my scalp before I wash it. My washing routine is very standard otherwise with a shampoo that focused on scalp care. I do a hair mask once a week, and don't use any conditioner because it doesn't work for me at all.
- I don't use any heat except hairdryer. If I want to give it a bit of more volume I use a round brush and some curling rolls to style it and make my waves more... wavy I suppose.
Style
- Find clothes that fit you well, and more importantly that you feel confident in. You don't need to wait until you have your 'perfect' body. Get clothes that suit your body type, your complexion. There are some threads on Reddit that I think can help with that.
- I like going on Pinterest and look for outfit inspiration. I also follow a few instagram accounts that focus on creating different outfits, and they even link the items. I use this less to buy new things but more to see if I can use items I already own and style them differently.
- I am very much a basics girl, I think nothing looks better than a well fitting blouse/top with straight jeans and either sneakers/ankle boots. T-shirt/jeans combo is honestly a classic that looks good on everyone as long as the clothes fit well. I don't usually follow a lot of trends because they don't really work for me. I think it's important to keep basics in your closet that will always be in style. Think basic t-shirts, long and short sleeved (in white, black, grey), some form fitting, other loose. Get some straight jeans in different washes. You can create so many different outfits, and it works for both the day and night time. When I go out for drinks, I use a white tight t-shirt and some dark blue jeans with ankle boots. It's simple but it works! Trust me ;)
- Jewellery: I re-use the same jewellery every day. And if you want to start wearing more, try getting some good quality but affordable pieces that always look good and you can use during the day and night. Think some small silver hoops, or gold, maybe a small ear cuff, and a simple necklace. I like using rings on my index fingers, they are quite simple, but look elegant, specially with the milky white nails.

In the first game, Travis is trying to be the hero he thinks he is and is deeply affected by all the assassin, which change him as a character. In desperate struggle Travis has become the very thing he thought he was… as assassins idol him and you are shown how the roll has flipped and how his previous actions have now affected and changed all of them.
Travis is mostly unaware of this…. Where he is clearly defined as a clumsy, Pervy, anime loving weirdo in the first game just a normal guy ( we know who he is and so does he ). In desperate struggle he almost doesn’t anymore and the motif of opening eyes is truly seen as escapism from the first game being no more. Travis has grown from this seeing things for how they really are and excepting a reality he lives in instead of escaping it in the first game he is now facing it. This is why he finds paradise not in death (which is the motif in NMH1) but instead Sylvia in desperate struggle. He no longer has let assassination consume him like Alice where the only escape was death…. He is human and paradise is living, exceptence, something he finds in Sylvia by opening his eyes.
Travis was trying to be something to the point it was harmful and effected many assassins as well as Santa destroy as a whole. He now isn’t trying to be anything ; his character is nothing like the Travis in the first game…. He has found his self and true meaning; this is the real Travis, now being sympathetic towards true opponents after seeing what he became and what he made others become.
The characters he let lived and their importance:
“kimmy Howel” almost assuming is this games shinobu archetype being a younger school girl with more to learn. Travis doesn’t like killing women especially young so they become worthy opponents and strong. However, kimmy serves a very important role… she is letting the player know how famous Travis has become and Travis in this scene really enjoys this… kinda of basking in his new found notoriety. While This is short lived this is the first sign Travis is seeing himself.
“RYUJi” This is a duality where Travis is essentially fighting his equal… almost as if he is fighting himself. I believe there is a reason the game made this fight so good and impactful. This is the fight Travis starts to see the reflection of himself in the assassins he’s killing. Ryuji is the representation of the old Travis in a way…. with the bike and beam sword trying to be super cool, kinda edgy anime looking character. But By defeating him Travis now sees the loss of his old self marking a point in the game where Travis starts becoming his true self. That is why Ryuji’s life means so much to Travis outside of just being a respectable opponent. The cut scene directly eludes to this theory by Sylvia responding to Travis trying to stop her because she is gunning him down like a thug. Sylvia then references NMH1 where he wanted to do this with “shinobu”…. Sylvia says “Your are an Assassin and killing is how you win… but what? he fought honorably so you want to let him live? So he can come back stronger and cut you in half? You are developing a bad habit”. Travis is visibly distraught looking down questioning hard what Sylvia just said to him and the game makes a point to show you this desperate struggle… clearly Displaying a character behavior shift that even Sylvia noticed along with referencing his old self…
“Vladimir Taktarov” This is a interesting cut scene and very different from the rest of the game and very much ties into my hypothesis above. Travis at the end of the fight lowers Sylvia’s thirst to finish the job by saying “he’s back to earth in who knows how long” and she listens. Vladimir also says directly after the fight “This… this is earth… so I’m finally back after all this time. Fresh oxygen, Blue sky, beautiful as I remember.”
This signifies that he is finally seeing again “opening his eyes” he remembers what it was like before. Travis realizes this, understanding the feeling well letting you know from this point on Travis understands who he is as well as his impact and the significance of the Captains new realization. We then see sparkles come out of the helmet I can only assume it was too late for him…. But at least he died knowing who he was again.
“Alice Moonlight” This is what makes Alice’s scene so deep (even though she dies) because after he kills her he truly understands who he is and what he has done… he now despises his old self and the Association for what they have done. Seeing Alice as someone he once was completely consumed. Travis actually goes through a transformation of character throughout the game of (NMH2) and this is reflected in the important cut scenes of the assassins he let’s live…. Alice is the exception, being the full circle understanding because she is so far gone, she wants to die I.E (Travis’s old ideology of paradise) and have that honorable death like “Holly Summers” in NMH1. This in turn now deeply effects him for the first time and he completely lashes out at Sylvia . (Ryuji effects his character as well but it’s not as impactful as Alice’s )
I believe NMH2 is a better game narratively than people give it credit… not everyone likes putting together the pieces they just want a concise solid story that doesn’t take lots of brain power to understand. I get that. However, what they have done here is like watching a good film… everything in the main plot actually means something and it’s done for a reason. It shows you a progression of a character and it does have depth. This is the number one complaint even I had when I first played this game because the first game felt more impactful and had more depth with the character narrative but that’s because I think it was a little more obvious if anything NMH2 is much more complex. Maybe even having more depth… now there are some sub-narratives or plots I could of lived without like not giving a good explanation of the Association; it’s real? and the way Henery just pops in and out and we having no explanation from the ending of the first game going into NMH2 but overall I think I truly understand this game now… this is after coming back to if for a 4th play through and lots of time with the whole series mainly lots of NMH1 and NMH2.
Truly like this game a lot more now and would like to hear what you guys think ? I haven’t seen a theory go this in depth and point out all of these specifics of the main plot and his character development from game 1-2 and its meanIng. I also know this game obviously starts out being about revenge but through that he finds himself and it’s much more than that. I felt a lot of people didn’t like the new Travis as much, at first myself included but this really made me rethink that Desperate struggle has my favorite narrative.
(Narratively I don’t mind this game at all but gameplay wise I believe there are more issues lol)

I already have a flat and everything, I just need to wait until then because the people who I'll be sharing the flat with can't move in earlier. Now, it's three more months until I can finally move out. How do I survive that time? My parents are transphobic and I'm trans and just got a short haircut which has created even more conflict now. My brother wants to out my if they pay him enough. I am working the last three weeks before August so I won't be seeing them too much anyway but what do I do until July?? I am feeling very depressed and hopeless right now.

Many of the characters I've really come to really enjoy. So, I wanted to go through each Nikke I have pulled and discuss how attractive they are. Attraction has two big components for me, how physical attractive they are and how attractive their personality is. I will refer to these as "beauty" and "personality" I will rank both on a 1-10 scale and combine for a total score. Note that I will only be reviewing Nikkes that I have pulled. Hard for me to review characters I don't know very well. These are the best of the best and most attractive girls with scores 18.5 and up. Rapi Beauty - 10/10 Personality - 10/10 Total score - 20/20 Starting with best girl Rapi. The only girl I give a perfect score to in both categories. She's the poster girl for the game for a reason. Just so beautiful and adorable. Just a great design and outfit. Love her cute cap especially. In terms of personality, she also knocks it out of the park. I have a big weakness for characters that appear cold on the outside but are actually just softies. Rapi pulls this off perfectly. I also really enjoy characters that are really disciplined and loyal to what they believe in. I also really enjoy the "straight man" role she plays with Anis and Neon's antics. Marciana Beauty - 10/10 Personality - 9.5/10 Total score - 19.5/20 Maybe it's the tight white pants, maybe it's the midriff, maybe it's the fact that she looks like a hot teacher I had when I was 14 but I think Marciana has one of the most attractive appearances of any Nikke. She has a great demenor and I will always have a love for dark haired girls. Her personality is also fantastic. I love her stern and cold appearance on first viewing. Much like Rapi, I just love a girl who is tough on the outside but a big softy on the inside. She was extremely adorable in her bond story and I loved seeing that other side of her you may not expect. D Beauty - 10/10 Personality - 9/10 Total score - 19/20 There is no more attractive combo than black hair + red eyes. This combo will kill me every time I see it. Now I liked D before, but once she got her new SSR she rocketed up my beauty rankings. She is the most attractive looking girl in all of Nikke without a doubt. Her black dress is to die for. Plus she reminds me a bit of Yor Forger which is always a good thing. As you can probably tell from above, I really love girls who seem really cold and rigid. I feel D may not show her soft side as much as Marciana or Rapi but the odd time it does come it is absolutely adorable. I also really appreciate her strong discipline and wanting to get her job done and do it correctly. Maxwell Beauty - 10/10 Personality - 8.5/10 Total score - 18.5/20 Maxwell marks the last Nikke in my ranking to receive a 10 for beauty, and she absolutely deserves it. Every part of Maxwell is just amazing to look at. Her toned abs are the highlight for me as I really love an athletic girl, as well as having my ideal chest size. She's free to examine me as much as she wants. Not to mention her design is also extremely adorable and I love the little cap she has on. Her personality also does quite well for me. I really enjoy the straight man role she has with her quirky teammates. A valuable role to have as it is needed to keep them in check and to not go overboard. Blanc Beauty - 9.5/10 Personality - 9/10 Total score - 18.5/20 Ah the bunny girls, of course Blanc's beauty will be high! Blanc is absolutely adorable! The white skin, hair, and suit mixing with those beautiful yellow eyes is truly breathtaking. The adorable collar and tie she has is amazing as well. My favourite part of her whole design has to be the little fang she has. It just destroys me. I really love how outgoing, extraverted, and friendly she is. That concludes our top tier and my top 5. Next we will go to the still great but "Near perfection". This includes scores of 17-18. Privaty Beauty - 9/10 Personality - 9/10 Total score - 18/20 Privaty is super adorable. She has my favourite blush out of any girl in the game. Also love her adorable twintails, sexy yellow eyes, and her larger than sometimes expected chest. Her maid SSR is fantastic and really helps show off her adorableness and her assets. I adore tsunderes and Privaty does it perfectly. She would be so fun to tease as you would always get a great reaction. Like stated previously, I really love a girl who seems rigid at first but actually really cares. Diesel Beauty - 8.5/10 Personality - 9/10 Total score - 17.5/20 Diesel is really pretty and quite beautiful. Her conductor outfit is very cute and fits her very well. Her smile is always a joy to see and should always be protected. I adore how sweet she is. Someone who you just want to see keep smiling and never frown. I really enjoy her because she is just a joy to be around. Even in her sader moments, it is still great to see her be able to move on and keep a smile. Exia Beauty - 8/10 Personality - 9/10 Total score - 17/20 Exia is such a cutie. The oversized shirt is adorable and oddly quite sexy. The messy hair, dazed look in her eyes, and exposed thighs are also really good. I'd love to waste the rest of my life playing video games with Exia. Just waste away from responsibilities and society by just playing games. This is the ideal scenario in my mind. Isabel Beauty - 8/10 Personality - 9/10 Total score - 17/20 Isabel has a killer body and a very kissable face. I really love her beautiful long purple hair and how it blends with her beautiful eyes and outfit so well. Yanderes are always fantastic. Isabel can lock me in her house and throw away the key for all I care. She just needs some love and to have a stable happy family in her life (I mean I don't know how stable of a life you could have with Isabel but at least we have similar life goals). Those are the 6 in my second tier. Next we have the "Beautiful" tier for those scoring between 15-16.5. Rapunzel Beauty - 8.5/10 Personality - 8/10 Total score - 16.5/20 I'm not normally into the whole nun thing and I'm also not typically into blondes but Rapunzel is so gorgeous that I overlook that. She has a very lovely smile and a very alluring outfit that shows her great proportions very nicely. Her normally holy design and behaviour being taken over by her dirty thoughts is always funny too see. She reminds me a bit of Darkness from Konosuba in that way. With the impure thoughts just constantly invading her mind. Mihara Beauty - 8/10 Personality - 8/10 Total score - 16/20 Mihara really activated something in me that I didn't know I had. Her outfit is quite lewd but also very attractive. The black goes really well with her lovely black hair. You can really tell she mean business. Masochism is great, right? I definitely like giving pain rather than receiving so this works for me. Not to mention that I really like her voice. Goes right through my ears and into my brain. Noir Beauty - 7.5/10 Personality - 7.5/10 Total score - 15/20 The 2nd best of the bunnies, she is good but not nearly as good as Blanc. She has quite the attractive appearance but I feel her chest is a bit too large for what I normally like in a girl. Otherwise the black bunny suit is really great. Personality also isn't as good as blank. I don't tend to enjoy someone who is overly shy and reserved. I do appreciate how kind and caring she is and how she is trying to improve. Yuhla Beauty - 7.5/10 Personality - 7.5/10 Total score - 15/20 Yuhla's design overall is very good but it is her sharp teeth that appeal to me most. Something about them is just very attractive and suits her quite well. Not to mention her outfit gives her great midriff and even shows off some cool scarring. I really appreciate hard workers and while she doesn't have the most friendly personality, she still wins me over with how spicy she got in her bond story. That ends this tier of characters. Next we start to fall off a bit with the "Almost good" tier. This tier has scores from 13.5-14.5. Helm Beauty - 7/10 Personality - 7.5/10 Total score - 14.5/20 On paper Helm's design should by a 10/10 for me. The outfit, the hair, the thick thighs all really appeals to me. Just something about her feels a bit... off? Maybe it is her posture and how she is a bit hunched over that makes it look odd to me. Still overall I like her design but I just feel it is not as good as it should be. I really appreciate how disciplined she is. Anytime a girl has strong discipline and loyalty she will really appeal to me. Other than that she is a little bit boring. I remember her bond story being a bit meh. Naga Beauty - 8/10 Personality - 6.5/10 Total score - 14.5/20 Naga has a great design. Schoolgirl outfit is very cute and the unbuttoned top and short teasing skirt are very alluring. I really like her hairstyle with one of her eyes being covered by her hair. Naga's personality doesn't quite hit for me. I like how she tends to act more on the mature side but in reality I just found her to be really really boring most of the time. A few times she was good but it wasn't often enough for me to give a higher score. Noise Beauty - 7.5/10 Personality - 6.5/10 Total score - 14/20 Noise is another girl with a very attractive design. It is really good all around and I can see how people would really like her, but for me it is good rather than great. I'm not a big fan of the blonde she has in her hair. If her hair was all dark I think it would look better. Her personality is very bland. On paper I like the idea of a one hit wonder trying to get another hit but Noise just doesn't have the personality to get me invested. No an awful one but not great either. Scores will be 11-13. Quiry Beauty - 7/10 Personality - 6/10 Total score - 13/20 Quiry is very cute and I really like her outfit. One major drawback of her is that I am not a huge fan of pink hair. Otherwise the design is pretty solid all around. I don't know too much about her as I haven't done her bond story but I do like her quirk of having poor eyesight. I know I have made some enemies for these placements. The next tier is the "Pass" tier. I'm not going to go through each girl here as they are all ones I just don't have an interest in. Most because the design just looks too young for me and I don't want to talk about their attraction level. There are some however who I really like the characters of. For example, Liter is great and I'd love to complain about the youth with her. Soline is also special to me as she was the first Nikke I pulled. The final tier is the "Extremely attractive but I hate them as characters so I wouldn't go close to them". These are the worst offenders of all. Characters who have the design but just awful personality. Sin Beauty - 9/10 Personality - -5/10 Total score - 4/20 Sin is insanely hot. A top 10 design in the game IMO. The yogo pants are wild and I really think the mask looks good on her. Here is the problem. I HATE manipulative women. Nothing is more aggravating and a bigger turn away than someone manipulative. [I shared this in girls and gays but wanted to share here as well for those of you not in that sub]
With Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s rap feud raging over the last month, I got curious about what their natal charts say about each of them as rappers, and how the astrological synastry between the two has fueled this chart-topping fight. Luckily we have an accurate birth time for both Drake and Kendrick, so we can see exactly how their charts overlap.

Long story short, there was a town meeting for people who work with culture and entertainment, which I do. Last year I didn't make it because of agoraphobia, I got there and stayed in the car because I wasn't brave enough to go inside.
Well, this year I told myself I'd do my very best to participate, last week I was feeling like shit, my hair looked horrible, I have those huge dark circles under my eyes for lack of sleep, so I decided to get a haircut, just a simple haircut but it increased my confidence so much.
Today I took a warm, relaxing shower, put on my favourite clothes (I don't know if you guys are like this, but I have a few clothes that make it slightly easy for me to be in public), used my best perfume, did a basic makeup and the final touch, red lipsticks. Not too red, because I didn't want to draw too much attention, but red enough to make me look like a confident person.
Then I went to the meeting. Well, my mum went with me, but I wasn't even ashamed, I mean, so what that I'm 28 and my mum goes places with me? At least I'm going, I haven't left the house by myself in a while and I didn't want to risk it today.
There were around 12 people there, which for most people is not a lot, but for me it was enough to make me scared. I got anxious, started shaking. Then I took my Clonazepam and in a few minutes I was chilled and relaxed. (My psychiatrist recommended me to always take Clonazepam with me in my pockets, so if I panic when I'm far from home I could take it to feel better, I avoid taking it as much as possible because I don't want to be dependent on it). I stayed there for almost 2 hours and even talked a bit in the meeting, I'm so proud of myself.
Part of my Agoraphobia comes from insecurities with my self image, which is why I mentioned everything I did to get confident to go. When I'm happy with the way I look like I feel so powerful, so confident, and it helps a lot with exposures.
I was home bound for a couple of years, I have been slowly leaving the house, usually twice or thrice per month now. But it's getting easier. If I can do you, I believe you can do it as well!

Today’s review is for Tales of the EdgeWorlds Volume 1 by Shawn Frost. I was given an ARC copy back in July of 2023, but didn’t finish reading it until recently because I bogged myself down with too many activities, and something this long takes me a while. I will go through the things I liked about it, the things I hated, and wrap it up with a score from 1-10. My scoring system goes through 5 key components, with each one going over the creative aspect and the technical aspect. I will explain that part when we get to scoring later on, so let’s plow on through.
This is a collection, about 266 pages long, and is meant to be the first installment of a comedy series. Shawn runs a Youtube channel where he covers lolcows and does gaming streams, so comedy should come naturally to him. As a volume, this holds 4 short stories, each one holding about 8 chapters, with each story running for about 20k words. Technically, we can say it’s 4 novelettes, but as I explain the situation, you’ll see why they are so long. The plot may seem complex but the main characters go through the same situations: the dimensional merge occurred, between all of our creative properties and C-197, with a group of rambunctious penguins doing mercenary work.
Sadly, it’s not really the Chris-Chan version of a dimensional merge, so we do not see Sonichu or any of that wacky world… yet. It's volume 1, so it's too early to say it's not open to the possibilities. The style runs close to internet memes and those old Newgrounds cartoons, with the focus aimed at action scenes and descriptions of the creative world around their setups. But, as you read through the massive amount of descriptions and banter, you'll realize that very little happens in each story. I would say each one is very simple and with a low reading level needed to get through them, which is a double-edged sword in this case.
I say this because the writing tries too hard to claim a joke was made when it wasn’t really a “ha-ha” joke to begin with. It’s more like “ah… humor is detectable somewhere in these pages” kind of comedy. It relates to the offensive animals of Fritz the Cat, where the comedy comes from the absurdity of a setup, rather than a punchline that is found. Unfortunately, because the satire is absent and it focuses too much on the premise, the result becomes more like my favorite episode of Heil Honey I’m Home, minus Hitler and his annoying neighbors. The banter bogs down the pacing, turning each chapter into a short, yet overly long, sample of a scene, chained together by constantly shifting points of view.
Thankfully, this simple way of approaching a story allows a casual reader to speed on by. Things are easy to follow and characters are easy to remember. The main cast of Edgy, Jeff, Todd, and Hylus are separated by their brand of chaotic addictions. Addiction to drugs, addiction to hentai, addiction to video games, addiction to murder; all greatly expressed in what are meant to be running gags that resemble a sitcom cast. The ship they travel around in, from job to job, can easily be imagined as a "That '70s Show basement" version of the ship in The Orville, as each story goes to different planets where they meet different aliens.
There is enough in each story to understand what is going on, with the stories more as an exploration of lore than an exploration of character or theme. The lack of focus, as well as the indifferent prose, harms the way each tale is told. I would never say these are bad ideas or bad concepts, just bad ways to get them across. High concept, low composition. I would say the main value is from the promise of more to come than what is presented in the pages.
Time for the rating, which will be given between 0-2. 1 point goes to the technical aspect and 1 point goes to the creative side of things. Flaws within a point will reduce it into smaller decimals, but a single aspect is not able to entirely kill a story on its own. If it’s all technical or all creative, a story will be treated as mediocre. Even if I like something, it is still possible to get a 5/10, meaning it’s not suitable for the average reader who is more accepting of a 7 or an 8.
Plot: 1.5 Things happen and people go places in the form of a violent travelog. The pacing bogs down the destination with tourist traps.
Characters: 1.5 The characters play their roles well, even though their roles don’t play well with the plot. Their banter and quirks fall flat in parts.
Prose: 1 With clear points between A and B, wet and sloppy ideas are delivered dry and brittle. With each paragraph shoving lore down the reader’s throat, it can become death by a thousand detours.
Theme: 1 There is a great message about how chaos and anarchy transforms people into primitive animals. Unfortunately, the author couldn’t find it in the infinite vastness of subspace.
Setting : 2 It is a world you want to know more about and look forward to the next bit of info. Creative, exotic, to the proper point of chaotic, yet still comprehensible. Everything about this book is in the setting.
Final verdict: 7/10
The book is niche, it takes a while to heat up, and even then it’s as appealing as a mystery flavor hot pocket. If you’re into absurdity, you will enjoy it. I just wish the absurdity had some life behind it. There is room for expansion and I hope that opportunity is taken.

For some context I have been getting back into shape for the last 3 months, lost a lot of weight, stopped drinking and started working out. I started noticing I had less hair at the front when coming out of the shower but didn't think much of it.
My scalp has been really itchy for the past 2 weeks or so and my hair feel very dry, so I figured it was because of the shampoo I was using. Now the itching is gone but today idk why I was curious and took some pics of my head and yeah here I am, idk what to do. I was in shock at first honestly
Parents/Grandparents always had hair so I don't think genetics are the issue. Also my last haircut was a month ago and although the barber cut my hair pretty short, they used to grow back a lot faster.

So it’s almost been a month on E for me. But my narcissistic mother forced me to get a short haircut because I had a job interview the next day. When I remind her of that, she pulls the mom card and tells me she does (even though I’m 26). That f*****g haircut has caused so much emotional damage for my transition. She said she would pay for it so I went to a very expensive place( it was a in the moment decision). She has been emotional abusive my entire life. I straight up told her she has no business being in the journey I’m going through unless she starts paying for some of it. I’ve tried wigs and cosmetics but it’s not doing the trick. I came put to my parents, sisters and friends a year ago after cutting my hair (im not out in school yet). When i came out to my mom she wasn’t against it because she was sure i was just confused and was uncomfortable with the sudden changes my body is going through like every teenager and i didn’t feel comfortable telling her how i truly felt, after talking to her again she said she is just afraid of how the world would react and she accepts me for who i am. She sent me to a psychologist which i was very thankful for. i hoped my mom would tell her im trans and would be honest about why im there but my mom instead introduced me as her daughter who is struggling and needs help. This made coming out to my psychologist very difficult and i haven’t came out to her yet. Since coming out i have seen a lot of people saying im just confused and im still a kid and ill regret trying to transition in a few years. All of this is really making me doubt myself and my identity. I know this feeling is not normal, i know most teenagers don’t feel this way and yet i still doubt myself so much. How can i change the way i think? I want to come out (to my psychologist and in school) but im so afraid im wrong yet at the same time if i wont come out i wouldn’t be able to medically transition before im 18 and thats my main goal.
