2024.06.09 23:42 SirElderberry Seeking to improve my QFT/HEP foundations as a PhD in another subfield

I have a PhD in physics; I studied theoretical AMO/quantum information. I'm starting a new role soon where I will be working at the intersection of quantum information and high-energy physics (think quantum simulators for HEP/QFT applications). There are some good white papers and review articles from both HEP and QIS communities on these crossovers which I am currently working my way through. These will position me well in the short term, but for long-term success, I can tell I'll need to improve my foundational understanding on the HEP/QFT side so I don't have to treat that half of problems as a black box. I've had some coursework, but graduate school classes were a while ago and this subfield was never my main focus.
I'm looking for advice for recommended books, lecture notes, etc for self-study in this space, both in physics (field theory, phenomenology, HEP experiment...) and mathematics. I was hoping people might have some suggestions specific to my needs and prior experience -- I need something more technical than you would give a layperson, but I'm less focused on details of calculations and more interested in hitting key concepts.

2024.06.09 23:40 orioku The right recovery?

I work at a hotel and I came across a scenario that... I'm wondering what other hotels would do.
Couple around retirement age checks in with us for 3 nights. No worries, no issues, no red flags. On the second night, the man comes down to the front desk on his way out the door for the evening, and says to me in a nice, calm way:
"Hi there. I'm in room 3xx and some of the trim is falling down. Where the curtain rod is, there is this large piece of trim and it's just... coming down."
"Oh goodness, sir, I'm so sorry. It's just... hanging off the wall or something?"
"Yeah. If someone could take a look at it..."
"Of course, I'll have my engineers look at it right away. Can they enter the room in your absence?"
"Yes, that's fine."
"Great. So sorry about that again, sir. We'll get on it right away."
He walks away, I radio engineering, and they go to work on it.
Basically, the trim is done dor. It can't be fixed, and the wood split somewhere in the middle. For context, this trim is DUMMY THICC. Not your standard Home Depot molding. This is a boutique hotel, so you know it's unique and extra. Plus the curtain rod is attached to it. The way this was installed, it looks like nail into drywall, which isn't exactly textbook, but it is SECURE. In fact, the main reason it hadn't hit the floor year was cause it was so tightly wedged into the wall, that only the fact that the wood split is what gave it some room to slide down a bit. One engineer couldn't lift it, it was so heavy, so he called his manager off vacation real quick to help and they both agreed on this:
There is no way this just happened. The guest had to have pulled on it, tugged it extra hard, maybe fell and held onto it for support, SOMETHING. But that trim was SECURE. No way it happened on its' own. I asked several times about likelihood, possibilities, etc etc, and they would swear on their careers that something happened to it, it didn't just fall apart on its own. So this means, the guest had to have done it.
Boss engineer leaves again, assistant still on shift, guest comes back QUITE DRUNK. I tried to cancel his room key so he'd HAVE to stop by front desk before entering his room so I could speak with him, but I think my canceling card was outdated. Anyways, he complains that now the trim is on the floor and the curtain is on his bed. Mind you, engineering left it propped and wedged. The thing just fell while no one was in the room. I told him we have to move him because that room was no longer habitable. He makes a small stink out of it, but in the end, we help him move from one standard room to our GENUINELY LAST ROOM IN THE HOTEL (the only room stopping us from selling out completely) which is a nicer view, high floor room (but the room size and bed count is the same. Normally the upgrade is $80 more but of course, no charge for this situation) and leave him with a free breakfast voucher.
He comes back down very shortly after and complains "all this unpacking, repacking, unpacking, and shit, and you put me in the SAME ROOM? Not even an upgrade??"
"Sir, I'm so sorry again. If we could have avoided the room move, we would have, but the old room is not safe anymore and we gave you our last room in the building."
"Oh bullshit. When I booked, there were suites available."
"Yes , you booked a week ago. Just yesterday, I had 16 rooms today, and now I'm down to that last one because of how quickly people will rent our rooms."
"Well it's not right! Only a free breakfast?"
"Well, sir, we're still investigating how the trim came to fail. So far it looks like some sort of external force may have pulled it down..."
"Are you saying I DID IT?!"
"All I'm saying, sir, is that now the room is out of order for 2 weeks and we're still investigating the cause. Regardless, I apologize for the inconvenience, but I promise you it is our last available room and if the situation could have been avoided, we would avoid it. But our hands are tied and we could not have left you in that room."
He grumbles away, leaving, still complaining about only getting a free breakfast.
Here's the question: because the guest refuses to accept responsibility for the damages to the room and we have no CONCRETE PROOF that the guest did such damage with ill intent or anything like that, we didn't charge the guest the $400 we were quoted by engineering. The GM says that it would be too much headache, so much charge chargeback back and forth, just to end up writing it off anyway and getting a bad review, so just leave it alone.
What would you guys have done? Charge the guest anyway? Prove to the guest they did it? Keep in mind, the molding, while not professionally installed correctly, was NAILED and SECURED... until I guess old man Banner decided to tug it down?? Would your property do anything differently?
Tl;Dr drunk guest refuses to confirm he was responsible for damages, trim was damaged for $400, GM says don't bother fighting the guest... would your property handle this differently? Is there a way where everyone walks away happy here?

2024.06.09 23:37 Busy-Remove-5499 Odd mot mileage

So Iā€™m looking to buy a vw caddy. Ive been to see it and the van looks genuinely really good. Its had 2 owners which was a company and then this garage im buying it off. The garage has good reviews and so on. Iā€™ve come home with some of the paper work to gloss over before making any purchases and Iā€™ve noticed that in the last year since its last mot in August 2023 itā€™s only done about 100 miles. This to me is really odd as itā€™s averaged about 14,000 every year before this. I checked the tax and mot and it hasnā€™t been taxted for the past year ish. Why would this be. Should I be concerned. Should I pull out of the sale of this good looking caddy?

2024.06.09 23:21 AffectionateSink4918 Warranty Covers Refurbished Only

I bought an HP 5101 Printer three months ago and loved it until the carriage broke. Because it was under warranty, they asked that I send it back which I did. Took a week for them to receive it. I called three times over the course of the following week asking when the replacement would be shipped and they told me that they had yet to register it as received on their end. Finally a new one was shipped out, received it a week later, so three weeks without a printer. Turns out, they do not give you a new printer, it is a refurbish. Of course, I went to use it and there is a massive problem with how it is printing (basically, it printed fine on plain paper but the color was printing only red on glossy paper which is the whole reason I purchased the printer). I spent over 1.5 hours on the phone with them and the support person maintained the whole time that all of their refurbished printers are tested to factory levels (if all was equal, why not just send me a new printer?) and that I had to send the printer back again to receive another. If the past wait time of three weeks is expected this time around, that will mean six weeks without a printer and interruption to my business. Because of this, I looked at the BBB's review of HP and am stunned that every single office is rated an "F." Be advised that they do not replace a broken printer under warranty with a new printer, that it will be a refurbished one, and expect to have a significant downtime in your work without a printer. Additionally, review their BBB website reviews so you can make an informed decision as a consumer.

2024.06.09 23:16 achago Trip Report (Family of Four with girls 11, 14)

I hope this report helps others as much as the ones before helped me plan!
May 30-June 8
Traveled to Japan from the west coast of US with husband and two daughters, 14 & 11.
May 30 Arrived at Narita Airport around 3 PM. The line at customs was over an hour long and it was stiflingly hot and humid in the customs area. the line wound around 2 giant rooms. We had done the QR code and it didnā€™t even matter- the line for QR code people and paper form people was the same line. After the long flight there, this was hard on us.
Arrived at our hotel- the FAV Tokyo Hotel in Ryogoku. I picked this hotel because of the price. It was high quality and the staff were super nice. The original room we had, though, was really small- 200 sq feet. we felt really cramped in there and ended up upgrading to a bigger room after 3 nights.
Upon arriving we unpacked a bit, walked around the corner to get some ramen, stopped at 7-11 to get some snacks and I checked the pharmacy for CPAP water. I found ā€œsoft waterā€- which I used and it seemed to be ok, even though they didnā€™t have official distilled water. We crashed around 8 pm.
May 31 It was a little rainy in the morning, so we changed up our plans and started in Akihabara. We went to a cat cafe and loved it- the cats were all super cute and healthy. They seemed pretty spoiled! We were underwhelmed by the anime stores in Akihabara though- I think you need to be really into it to like them. We were all feeling pretty tired so we went back to the hotel for a bit, then went out in the evening to Senso-Ji. Unfortunately all the vendors in Nakimise dori were closing when we got there, so we didnā€™t try a lot of the food we wanted to. But it was nice to see the temple when it was less crowded. We went to dinner at a sushi restaurant in Asakusa, and went to a cabaret dance show at Asakusa Kugua- which we all LOVED. We booked the tix through Viator but I think you can book directly. My 11 year old said it was her favorite part of the trip. I loved the shopping area around it. I actually wish we stayed in Asakusa- it ended up being my favorite area of Tokyo.
June 1 We started with day with breakfast at Yoshinoya which ended up being what we did every day, because my youngest daughter liked it so much. Traditional breakfast of miso soup, white rice and salmon. After that we went to Happy Pancake to see what all the fuss was about. I loved them- my daughters didnā€™t- they thought they tasted like eggs. After that, we did Shibuya scrambled, checked out Loft, went to Takeshita Dori in Harajuku and went to the Puma store in Shinjuku. I think it was a mistake to do these areas on a Saturday. The crowds were something I wasnā€™t prepared for- obviously I had seen videos but actually BEING in the chaos is a different story. I was really overwhelmed and tired by the end of this long day and I fell asleep by 7.
June 2 We started the day at TeamLabs Planets- which was really cool. We had booked our tickets well in advance and we didnā€™t feel overly crowded since they do timed entry. After that, we went to Yanaka Ginza, as I had heard that old town was a nice change to Shibuya. It was- but I wished for more- the ā€œshopping streetā€ was not as long as I thought it would be. Luckily it was walking distance to Nezu shrine, which was absolutely gorgeous. It started raining just as we arrived and I enjoyed the quiet, serene setting, watching the raindrops in the stream with koi fish swimming around. It was one of my favorite places in Tokyo.
June 3 This was our ā€œtheatricalā€ day. We started with a Samurai class that I had booked through Viator. Again, you could book directly through Samurai Theater. This was SO MUCH FUN. My husbandā€™s favorite part of the trip. It was an hour long class, we got to dress up like Samuraiā€™s (Iā€™m plus size and it worked), and thereā€™s a fun choreographed sequence they teach you that you do to music at the end. The instructors spoke great English and were just a lot of fun to spend time with.
We then went to Gonpachi- the restaurant that inspired the design of the restaurant in Kill Billā€™s iconic sword fight scene. This didnā€™t disappoint- itā€™s a super unique interior design and we loved felling like we were in the movie (especially after having just had sword fights of our own!)
We ended the day with a Kimono Tea Ceremony with MAIKOYA Tokyo. This was also fun- the girls loved getting their hair done, getting to choose their kimono and we were all excited to learn how to make matcha tea and learn about the ceremony.
June 4 This was a ā€œfreeā€ day so we decided to try Harajuku again on a weekday. It was a little less crowded and the girls were happy to get some fun clothes at ACDC Rags and Punyas. We also went to a puppy cafe. This one wasnā€™t as fun as the cat cafe. The dogs seemed really hungry- and it made me sad. (They looked well fed, but it makes me wonder if all their food comes through the hand feeding from visitors?) afterward, we went to the PokĆ©mon Cafe for my 11 year old who loves PokĆ©mon. The food was really bad- which we expected from reviews. I didnā€™t know, though, that you donā€™t get to take photos with Pikachu- he just does a little show and waves. This wasnā€™t worth it in my opinion. We then had ramen on ā€œramen streetā€ at Tokyo station for dinner. We did the seafood ramen- I think I would have preferred a different one.
June 5 We traveled on the Shinkansen To Kyoto on this day. It was relatively easy as we connected through Shinagawa Station instead of Tokyo station. We checked into the Mimaru SHIJO (which was amazing and had free happy hour with beer and sake daily from 5-7!) and went straight to Nishiki Market and my husband tried allll the food. He loved all of it. The girls and I loved the shopping area connected to Nishiki. We did My Only Fragrance- a fun experience to design your own perfume (we had a reservation). I went to fushimi inari alone at sunset and was super excited that it wasnā€™t crowded and the light was stunning. I was there about 30 minutes. Later, My husband and I went out alone this evening in Gion. We saw two Maiko out and about (we didnā€™t take photos or harass). We also had the best sushi dinner of our lives in an 8-seat restaurant called Sushi Ninenzaka Numoto. We got REALLY lucky as we just walked in- I didnā€™t realize so many restaurants require reservations in Kyoto!
June 6 I woke up at the crack of dawn and my 14 year old and I took the Shinkansen down to Hiroshima. We went through the Peace Museum, which made both of us emotional- but her especially. She had to take some time afterwards sitting in the park on a bench while I explored the surrounding area- the dome, the different memorials, etc. we didnā€™t spend a lot of time in Hiroshima but it was important to me to go, and Iā€™m happy we made the trip. My daughter said she wished I had warned her- had she known how emotional it would be she might have skipped it. I think itā€™s important that people learn from history so even though it was hard for her Iā€™m glad she came with me. We were back in Kyoto by 2. We took a nap then took the train to Osaka to at least see the dotonbori- which was amazing. Such a great vibe. There was a live concert happening when we got there a girl JPoP band called Shinsekai Hero, and my daughters were super into it. We had conveyor belt sushi, tried some food at the stands and headed back to Kyoto.
June 7 Our last day in Japan. My husband and I went to Ninzaka and Sannenzaka at 10 when the shops opened up- we spent a lot. We loved the pottery shops and the doll shop. So many souvenirs bought. Later in the day we went to Kinkaku-Ji and it was everything I imagined and more. Even with the crowds itā€™s such a calming place. We tried to have dinner at a nice steakhouse that evening but again- no reservations.
June 7 Took the Shinkansen back from Kyoto to Tokyo station because we had an oversized bag and even with booking well in advance couldnā€™t get a reserved seat with the oversized bag connecting in Shinagawa. We made our connection (20 minutes!) but just barely and only because I had studied the Tokyo station map. If I hadnā€™t we would have missed our connection to the Narita express.
All in all- it was a great trip that was definitely a teaser for future trips. I wish we spent more time in Kyoto and Osaka- I think we would have liked those areas more than Tokyo. I also want to see more of the countryside, as I preferred the temples to the wild city.
Lessons learned -The subway was tricky for us- we gave up after day 1 and just took taxis which we not much more expensive than the subway and saved a lot of headache- we used Uber and the go taxi app - my daughter got a cold while we were there- the Payke app was a lifesaver as you could scan a bar code and the label with ingredients and instructions showed up in the app in English - my other daughters glasses broke - luckily there are a lot of eyeglass stores in Shibuya and they repaired them for a small fee - Make reservations in Kyoto - For language, I used ā€œsumimasenā€ ā€œnan ban nori ban?ā€ and ā€œarigato gozaimasā€ a lot but the other phrases I learned didnā€™t come up. I used google translate to type in and show people the Japanese when needed

2024.06.09 23:06 LooneyLockup_Punch11 Vintage apartment or skip?

Hi so I'm going to be moving next month and while on my search came across this apartment called the Raymond apartments. It's on Alice street, used to be a hotel but now a apartment building. I'm also on section 8.
Right now I'm in East Oakland and I hate it especially my neighbors and the lack of responsiviness had no heat in the winter too
I'm looking forward to getting out of East Oakland and moving to lake Merritt on. The downtown side. All was good until 2 bad reviews out me in tears water pipes problems other than that they are responsive.
Im lost and don't know what to do. Btw also I want to be near a lake.
When I toured the Raymond apartments it had me starstruck I could see my life here. And OMG THE MARKET ON NEXT BLOCK IS DIE FOR. This area is what I really want.
So I need advice and if I should go forward with the Raymond apartments on Alice Street in lakeside Oakland right by lake Merritt?
EDIT: Also if anyone knows sfrent please let me know too. The pros and the cons.
Thank you!!

2024.06.09 22:56 TeeKayTank Staying in Ibiza for 2 Ā½ days, any advice or tips?

I'm visiting Ibiza for the First time (2nd time spain overall) because two of my favourite artists are performing this wednesday @ Ibiza Rocks. Somehow i feel Luike the crowd gonna be lame ans they wont even know nor appreciate them but i guess i saw it as an opportunity for a short Trip.
Im arriving tuesday morning at 8am and departing thursday 8pm. And i'll be staying in San antonio some Minuten away from Ibiza rocks (would be a waste/cost too much to sleep there)
Do you have any (General) Tips for me for what to do/see/Visit? are there must-sees? I guess the old town/Dalt Vila? Would it be better to just go there after arriving in Ibiza or thursday before departing and after checken out from the hotel?
any tips for tuesday parties? i might be going to pikes but am open for suggestions for day and night. i prefer electronic music, techno the least. i know ibiza is housey, but is there any uk garage or highenergy/fast tech house/hard house or any trance or drum and bass? Also im travelling alone but wont mind it i guess, im just selektive and dont want to waste my money for underwhelming music (which is my primary motivator) So the Maximum I would think about is camelphat for 60ā‚¬ cos that's in Pacha? i dont particularly care that much for both but they seem decent? any reviews about them and if it's worth? or any other suggestions
for wednesday i got a day plan but i think the last headliner starts at 7 pm and Ibiza rocks is going to end at like 9 pm right? anything else after that which i should check out?
any price-worthy/cheap restaurant/football spots you csn recommend? (im not demanding about food lol) which beach to go to? i imagine just going there to get the most of the sun, bit of party here and there and a bit of sea
most important where are the best spots to watch the sunrise, the sunset and the moon???
and for Ibiza rocks (and other clubs) is there Re entry? and what should i wear to these parties? do bouncers let me in with flipflops? taking shoes with you to a beach party sounds counterintuive. how can i take care of my Smartphone, not taking it underwater but also not getting stolen? what about joggers? here in germany bouncers wont let you in in some parties but if it's electronic/techno they dont care at all (i only go put the house with joggers usually so thats important for me) what are your experiences?
anything else particularly cool which i should take the Chance while im there?
sorry for the big mess i got adhd (and am kinda autistic which is why i wont have a problem staying alone but i'm gonne see how it unfolds)
thanks for any leads

2024.06.09 22:50 Radioactdave Christmas in Rwanda as a tourist

I'm wondering what Xmas is like in Rwanda as a tourist.
Personally, I don't celebrate Christmas, but it has proven to be a good time for traveling. I'm planning on cycling the Congo-Nile trail in December, so I'll probably want to stay at some hotel or resort at lake Kivu ovearound Xmas.
So my question is, will I likely be able to find accommodation around that time of the year? Do many places shut down around that time, or is it high season? It's really hard to judge from afar, and different countries can have very different vibes during the "festive season".

2024.06.09 22:31 pepefeels0406 Exposing my ex 28M to his family for the physical abuse heā€™s done to me 27F with proof even though he denies it, how do I handle this situation?

I (27F) was dating a narcissist (28M). My ex is a very charming and attractive man. I was dating him for 2.5 years in which we got to the marriage stage where our families had met and we were going ahead with the marriage. During the course of our relationship heā€™s been verbally & physically abusive, critical, Iā€™ve worked for his company for a salary thatā€™s below my level of experience, heā€™s lied and flirted with other girls and just been a nightmare. Heā€™s also physically abused my on 4 instances. The first 2 times it happened was in the office and I secretly took videos of the cctv camera recording of it to keep and hid it away. The 3rd & 4th time was in his house and the 4th time it happened I retaliated and pushed him back as well cause I couldnā€™t handle it anymore.
Everytime it happened heā€™s done everything in his power to make me forgive him and I did. He also promised to stop and did for 4 months. Then we got to finalising a wedding venue last September and he was still talking like an asshole and getting angry at nonsensical things. I broke up with him before we could go ahead and book any venues ( turns out he had planned a proposal for me just 2 weeks after the date I broke up)
So he was heartbroken but I just had a bad feeling about tolerating his crap after marriage and didnā€™t see any change in attitude even though he had promised me the world and said that all the issues are tiny and will go away with marriage.
After he revealed that he was going to propose and was heartbroken I told him I would be open to working on this relationship but not going ahead with the marriage just yet. He was so ā€œheartbrokenā€ that he was not ready to get back and just wanted to be single. I would see him in the office daily and as days passed he kept flirting and we slept together - he promised me that he wasnā€™t flirting with anyone else.
Turns out he got a nude on his phone the next day and I left him for good and started working from home.
He chased and convinced me for 2 months after which we got back in December and through this period heā€™s told everyone how many good things heā€™s done for me and how he couldnā€™t get over me & that Iā€™m leaving him over fixable issues & he was technically single so heā€™s allowed to flirt with others as he slept with me a day before
Cut to December and I somehow get convinced and take him back. In the period we werenā€™t together I didnā€™t entertain anyone new and he promised me he didnā€™t either. He also promised me that he didnā€™t meet the girl that sent him nudes and that there was nothing that happened between them.
I was really insecure so I did ask to see his phone once in January but ofcourse he got really angry and defensive and called me a insecure psycho
Cut to March and I found an email on his computer as I was sending an email for him which shows a hotel booking for the city that girl is from and I called up the hotel to confirm the checked in guests and it was him and the girl.
I was going to the office to breakup with him the next day and as I reach he needed to be admitted to the hospital so I didnā€™t say anything and as with him and his family at the hospital as he got operated and recovered.
In this period I had his phone and checked to see that he had not only gone to hookup with the nudes girl but also hooked up with someone else the day I found out about the nudes and continued talking to this girl till end November. I was shattered and I just deleted my nudes from his phone cause I knew I wanted to end it.
I donā€™t know why the physical abuse itself didnā€™t make me walk away but I felt like now every single bad thing that couldā€™ve happened has happened and this was the final push I needed. He had been lying to me since the day I got back with him in December.
He realises I deleted the nudes 3 days after heā€™s back from the hospital and at first I thought Iā€™ll play it off as I was scared someone else would see it but he kept fighting and torturing me to a point where he wouldnā€™t let me sleep and keep calling my phone - so I told him I know the truth about the 2 girls and ended it.
Since then heā€™s done everything he could to tell me that Iā€™m ending a beautiful relationship and how itā€™s my fault he went and hooked up because I found the nudes and he wouldnā€™t have gotten them if I didnā€™t breakup with him before he was going to propose.
Now Ofcourse heā€™s told all the people in his life that Iā€™m immature and have created this mess and did the unholy thing of checking his phone when heā€™s unconscious.
Iā€™m trying to leave his company and Iā€™ve left it except for 2 clients who he knows might leave if I tell them Iā€™m leaving.
I asked him for the official documents for leaving the company and heā€™s asking me why do I want this professionalism now - like I didnā€™t work professionally and he was providing me for meā€¦ I am beyond angry as this affects my future salaries and growth.
I feel like going to his family to firstly show them the truth of the physical abuse (cause he always denies it or minimises it to a push or a shove) and demand the papers
Or I feel like telling the two clients to walk with me but I donā€™t wanna affect his business.
The other big risk in telling his family and showing them that I have proof is itā€™s all going to get ugly and if my ex finds out I feel like heā€™ll suicide cause heā€™s suicidal.
But itā€™s really been triggering me, I asked him for my documents and he was telling me things like heā€™s been good to me - I said youā€™ve physically abused me and he was like ā€œcalm down and talk rationally, if I had physically abused you, you wouldā€™ve had a blue eyeā€
This has triggered me the most. Please help me, I feel like showing his friends and family what a disgusting man he is behind this beautiful facade that he maintains so well

2024.06.09 22:12 Unhappy-Common9879 My boyfriend (M26) has close female friend he knows longer then me (F31). How can I cope?

As a title says my boyfriend has a close female friend he work with. She is a bit older then me and is married. We never met as she lives in another state and I was not introduced. Iā€™ve heard lots of positive things about her. My boyfriend calles her ā€œangelā€ as she play an important role in his career. They traveled together, worked on many projectsā€¦Recently he told me how she helped him to study for an entrance exam for university and also showed me a paper with her notes which was covered by hearts as a bullet points. Theyā€™re in contact almost everyday also when weā€™re spending time together. They usually spend time at her place and hotels when theyā€™re working, sharing dinners and talking late hours but he assured me he has his own room every time. Last time when he came back and we passed the full moon, he told me how they were watching moon together and swimming in the sea. Sometimes he send her voice messages right after he gets up or before going to bed. He send her random thoughts and she replies with hearts everytime. He is not secretive about it. I also heard she is great listener when he point out I didnā€™t give him proper space when he was once sharing something tough with me. My heart stops a beat when I see her name on his phone with the heart emoji and I usually get a quiet and distant for a while and I try to manage my emotions well. I definitely donā€™t want to become an obsessive/controlling girlfriend. Dear redittors, Iā€™m more then interested in your opinion on this matter. Especially the ones in long term relationship. Please feel free to give me your opinion or some tips how I can get more at ease with this situationā€¦
