2024.05.21 09:18 Sweet_Computer_7116 I had GPT4 and GPT4o Evaluate themselves

Hey My Fellow Pro Users:
Needed a YT Vid summary. YT video in question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qf70FAKDgWU&t
I used GLASP to get a summary.
Glasp's Prompt:
Summarize the following in 5 bullet points.
Transcript
I ran this prompt through GPT4 & GPT4o (Web versions)
Then I took the outputs and ran them through this prompt:
I'm comparing to summarisers to hire for my business.
Which one of these two gave the best answer based on the video transcript:
Video Transcript:
Summarizer 1:
Summarizer 2:
The Responses:
4: If the goal is to have a detailed and closely aligned summary with the video's content for someone who may be new to these concepts, Summarizer 1 is the better choice. However, if the priority is concise and straightforward summarization for quick or frequent reference, Summarizer 2 might be preferred.
4o: Summarizer 1 gives a more comprehensive and nuanced explanation, aligning closely with the video transcript by providing examples and detailed descriptions for each part of the RISEN framework. This depth of information can be more helpful in understanding and applying the framework effectively. Therefore, Summarizer 1 gave the best answer based on the video transcript.
Summarizer 1 was GPT 4
Summarizer 2 was GPT 4o
TLDR: GPT 4o Thinks GPT 4 is a better summarizer. GPT 4 sits the fence and says both are good depending on context
Do with this info what you will. Just thought it as a fun comparison having them self evaluate each other.

2024.05.21 09:14 simpeltechlabsai What’s the best way to start a cloth manufacturing company?

1. Select items for the apparel manufacturing business
Before launching a garment-making firm, it is critical to evaluate the local market's demand and purchasing trends. Talk to local consumers and sellers to identify any gaps that can be filled.
The garment manufacturing industry includes three key product groups. 1. Woven Garment, 2. Knit Garment, 3. Sweater Garment or Woolen Garment. Every category contains a diverse selection of products for men, women, and children. Products in the woven garment category include formal and informal shirts and pants. T-shirts, Polos, and other knit clothes are examples of items.
2.Create a business plan
It is critical to conduct extensive market research before developing a company plan. To begin, you must decide which product category you will be creating. Reduce the scope of your product profile as much as possible. Understand the industry and identify the key elements that influence the clothing industry. Calculate the fixed capital investment, including machinery and workspace costs, based on the estimated production demand.
3. Company registration and licenses
Choosing the appropriate business structure under which to manage your company is a critical decision. Depending on your resources, you can choose a business form such as a sole proprietorship, a limited liability company, a one person company, and so on.
4. Machinery for apparel manufacturing
You must select the appropriate manufacturing machinery for your goods. Apparel printing machines, fabric printing machines, t-shirt printing machines, various sewing machines, double-needle bar knitting machines, knit braiding machines, and so on are available. Choose the appropriate machinery based on your plan. Before placing the final order, double-check the warranty period and on-site training.
5. Learn basic apparel manufacturing process
The basic garment manufacturing steps are given below:
Design/sketch → pattern design → sample making → pattern production → grading → marker making → spreading → cutting → sewing / assembling → inspection → pressing/finishing → final inspection → packing → dispatch
6. Raw materials for garment manufacturing
The primary raw materials utilized in garment manufacturing are various types of high-quality textiles and fabrics. You will need various buttons and zippers depending on your needs. Check the raw material's quality before acquiring it. Talk to the sellers and buy the material from reputable sources at a reasonable price.
7. Create a sourcing plan
Garment manufacturing entails obtaining fabrics and materials from a textile manufacturer, cutting and stitching them into clothing materials, and then selling them. You must exercise caution when selecting items, purchasing equipment, setting up your company as a brand, and promoting your products in order to develop a successful garment manufacturing business. The better your designs, the fresher your ideas, and the better your chances of success.
8. Cost of starting an apparel manufacturing business
The investment necessary to start a clothing factory depends on the scale of manufacturing. However, a production area of 600 Sq. ft, and expenditure of roughly 20 lacs is a bare minimum to start a small-scale apparel manufacturing operation.
9. Hire manpower
Apparel production is a personnel-involved enterprise. The most crucial position is the designer. He or she actually performs the most vital duty in making the venture effective. Hire skilled and experienced labour only for senior roles.
10. Promote Your Garment Manufacturing Business
Economic conditions, demographic changes, and pricing all influence apparel sales. The garment sector has reached maturity and operates in a dynamic and competitive environment. A brand name is a significant tool in the development of the clothing business. Established brand names promote consumer loyalty, which results in recurring business. Choose a memorable connected to your clothing name for your business. Create a broad, strong distribution channel network.
Conclusion
Launching an apparel manufacturing business requires thorough market research, strategic planning, and acquiring the right machinery and raw materials. Focus on quality, skilled manpower, and effective branding to thrive in the competitive clothing industry. Radhekrishna Clothings offers branded shirts for wholesale retailers.

2024.05.21 08:49 ayonc46 How Do You Develop a Custom WordPress Website?

To develop a custom WordPress website, plan your site structure and design. Next, install WordPress on your hosting server and choose a suitable theme or create a custom one. Customize the design and functionality using HTML, CSS, and PHP coding as needed. Add content, including pages, posts, and media, to populate your site. Finally, test your site thoroughly across different browsers and devices to ensure it functions correctly before launching it to the public.
What are the initial steps to create a personalized WordPress site?
  1. Define your goals and objectives for the website.
  2. Choose a suitable domain name for your WordPress site.
  3. Select a reliable web hosting provider that meets your needs.
  4. Install WordPress on your hosting server.
  5. Choose a theme that aligns with your brand and design preferences.
  6. Customize the theme settings and appearance to match your desired look and feel.
  7. Create essential pages such as Home, About, Contact, and Services.
  8. Install and configure necessary plugins for added functionality.
  9. Set up user roles and permissions as per your requirements.
  10. Develop a content strategy and plan for creating and organizing your website content.

Step-by-Step Guideline Develop a Custom WordPress Website

Step 1: Choose a Domain Name and Hosting
Your domain name is your website's address on the internet, like www.yoursite.com. Choose a domain name that's easy to remember, relevant to your brand, and not too long. Next, you'll need hosting, which is like renting space on the internet to store your website files. Look for a hosting provider that offers reliable service, good customer support, and enough storage and bandwidth for your needs.
Step 2: Install WordPress
WordPress is a popular platform for building websites because it's easy to use and highly customizable. Many hosting providers offer a one-click WordPress installation, which makes getting started a breeze. Simply log in to your hosting account, find the WordPress installer, and follow the prompts to set up your site. Once WordPress is installed, you can log in to your site's dashboard and start customizing it to your liking.
Step 3: Select a Theme
A WordPress theme determines the overall look and layout of your website. There are thousands of free and premium themes available, so take your time to find one that fits your style and the goals of your site. Look for a theme that's responsive (meaning it looks good on all devices), easy to customize, and well-supported by its developers. Once you've chosen a theme, you can install it on your WordPress site with just a few clicks.
Step 4: Customize Your Theme
Once you've installed your theme, it's time to customize it to make it your own. Most WordPress themes come with built-in customization options that allow you to change things like colors, fonts, and layouts without needing to know any code. Use the theme customizer in your WordPress dashboard to tweak your site's appearance until it looks just the way you want it to. Don't be afraid to experiment until you find the perfect look for your website.
Step 5: Add Content
With your theme customized, it's time to start adding content to your website. Create pages for important information like your Home page, About page, Services page, and Contact page. Use the WordPress editor to add text, images, videos, and other media to your pages. Write clear, engaging copy that tells visitors what your website is about and encourages them to explore further. Remember to proofread your content carefully before publishing to ensure it's free of errors.
Step 6: Install Plugins
WordPress plugins are like apps that add extra features and functionality to your website. There are thousands of plugins available for everything from contact forms to social media integration to search engine optimization. Think about the goals of your website and choose plugins that will help you achieve them. Be selective about the plugins you install, as too many can slow down your site and cause conflicts. Install and activate your chosen plugins from the WordPress plugin directory, then configure them to suit your needs.
Step 7: Optimize for SEO
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving your website's visibility in search engine results. A well-optimized website is more likely to rank higher in search results, driving more traffic to your site. Install an SEO plugin like Yoast SEO or All in One SEO Pack to help you optimize your content for relevant keywords, add meta tags and descriptions, and improve your site's overall SEO performance. Take the time to research keywords relevant to your niche and incorporate them naturally into your content for the best results.
Step 8: Test and Launch
Before you launch your website, it's important to test it thoroughly to ensure everything is working correctly. Check your site on different devices and browsers to make sure it looks good and functions properly. Test all links, forms, and interactive elements to make sure they work as expected. Once you're confident that everything is working as it should, it's time to launch your website and share it with the world. Celebrate your hard work and take pride in your new custom WordPress website!
Step 9: Maintain and Update
Building a website is just the beginning – maintaining it is an ongoing process. Regularly update your content to keep it fresh and relevant, and update your plugins and themes to ensure your site stays secure and performs well. Monitor your site's performance using tools like Google Analytics, and make adjustments as needed to improve usability and user experience. Listen to feedback from your visitors and make changes accordingly to keep your website running smoothly and meeting the needs of your audience.
What do you consider to select hosting and a domain name for your WordPress site?
Firstly, you'll want to choose a hosting provider that offers good speed and reliability. Look for one that has a solid reputation and good customer support in case you run into any issues. Consider your budget too, as hosting costs can vary.
As for the domain name, it's important to choose something that's easy to remember and relevant to your site's content. Avoid using complicated or obscure words that might be hard for people to spell or remember. It's also a good idea to check if your desired domain name is available on social media platforms to maintain consistency across your online presence. Lastly, think about whether you want to use a .com, .net, or other domain extension, keeping in mind what best suits your site's purpose and audience.
How do you evaluate and choose a theme that suits your brand and design preferences?
Firstly, consider your brand identity and the message you want to convey to your audience. Look for a theme that aligns with the style, colors, and overall feel of your brand.
Next, think about the functionality you need. Do you want a theme that's highly customizable or one that's more straightforward? Consider features like layout options, customization options, and compatibility with plugins you might want to use.
It's also important to check the responsiveness of the theme. Make sure it looks good and functions well on various devices, including smartphones and tablets.
Lastly, take some time to browse through different themes and read reviews from other users. This can give you a better idea of what to expect and help you make an informed decision that suits your brand and design preferences.
What essential pages should you create first?
How do you decide which plugins to install?
  1. Identify Needs: Determine the specific functionality you require for your site.
  2. Research: Look for plugins that offer the features you need.
  3. Ratings and Reviews: Check plugin ratings and read user reviews to gauge reliability and performance.
  4. Compatibility: Ensure the plugin is compatible with your WordPress version and other installed plugins.
  5. Active Installations: Choose plugins with a high number of active installations for reliability and community support.
Example:
How do you integrate custom features and functionalities into your WordPress site?
Integrating custom features and functionalities into your WordPress site involves adding extra capabilities beyond what comes with the standard installation. One way to do this is by using plugins. These are like apps for your website, and they can add all sorts of new features, from contact forms to e-commerce shops.
For example, let's say you want to add a feature for visitors to book appointments on your site. You could search for a booking plugin like "Bookly" or "Appointment Booking Calendar." After installing and activating the plugin, you'd typically set it up by following the provided instructions, which might involve configuring settings, creating booking forms, and placing them on your site where you want them to appear.
Another way to integrate custom features is by adding code directly to your site. This could involve writing your own custom functions or modifying existing ones. For instance, if you wanted to add a custom sidebar widget displaying your latest Instagram photos, you might need to write some PHP code to fetch the photos from Instagram's API and display them on your site.
In summary, integrating custom features and functionalities into your WordPress site can be done through plugins or by adding custom code, allowing you to tailor your site to your specific needs and preferences.
How do you manage user roles and permissions?

  2. Use Strong Passwords: Make sure all users have strong, unique passwords. A good password includes letters, numbers, and symbols.

  4. Keep WordPress Updated: Always update WordPress to the latest version. Updates fix security vulnerabilities.
  5. Limit Login Attempts: Use a plugin like Limit Login Attempts Reloaded to prevent brute-force attacks.
  6. Change the Default "admin" Username: Don’t use "admin" as your username. Choose something unique to make it harder for hackers to guess.
  7. Use HTTPS: Get an SSL certificate to encrypt data between your website and visitors. Most hosting providers offer this for free.

Troubleshooting and debugging issues during the development of a custom WordPress site involves several steps. Here are some real-world challenges and specific issues you might encounter:
  1. White Screen of Death (WSOD): This issue often occurs due to PHP errors, plugin conflicts, or exhausted memory limits. Solution: Enable WordPress debugging by adding define('WP_DEBUG', true); to your wp-config.php file to display error messages. Check the error log for specific issues.
  2. Plugin Conflicts: Plugins can conflict with each other or with the theme, causing functionality problems.Solution: Deactivate all plugins and reactivate them one by one to identify the conflicting plugin. Check for updates or consider alternative plugins.
  3. Theme Issues: Custom themes might have coding errors or compatibility issues with WordPress updates. Solution: Use a child theme for customizations to avoid losing changes during updates. Validate your theme code using tools like Theme Check.
  4. Database Errors: Corrupt or misconfigured databases can lead to errors or data loss. Solution: Use phpMyAdmin to check and repair database tables. Ensure regular backups are in place to restore data if needed.
  5. Broken Links and 404 Errors: Incorrect URLs or deleted pages can lead to 404 errors, affecting user experience and SEO. Solution: Use a plugin like Redirection to manage and fix broken links. Regularly check for 404 errors using tools like Google Search Console.

  7. JavaScript Errors: JavaScript errors can break site functionality, especially interactive features. Solution: Use the browser’s developer tools (F12) to inspect the console for JavaScript errors. Fix issues by debugging the scripts or checking for library conflicts.
  8. Security Vulnerabilities: Sites can be vulnerable to attacks if not properly secured. Solution: Regularly update WordPress, themes, and plugins. Use security plugins like Wordfence, and implement strong passwords and two-factor authentication.
  9. Responsive Design Issues: Ensuring the site looks good on all devices can be challenging. Solution: Use responsive design techniques and test the site on various devices and screen sizes. Tools like BrowserStack can help simulate different environments.
  10. User Role and Permission Problems: Incorrect configuration of user roles and permissions can lead to security and functionality issues. Solution: Use the User Role Editor plugin to manage and troubleshoot roles and capabilities. Ensure that users have appropriate access levels.
How do you create a seamless user experience (UX) in a custom WordPress site?

The Nadex Coins Desktop Coin Sorter and Dispenser Organizer is a handy tool that has simplified my life. The transparent casing allows me to easily view the amount of coins I have stored, preventing me from losing or miscounting them. I appreciate that this organizer can hold over $40 in change, making it a perfect solution for keeping loose change within reach.
One of the most appealing features of this product is its simplicity. The spring loader makes dispensing coins easy and straightforward, while the individual denominations ensure that I always have the right change for any situation. The sturdy construction and smooth operation make this coin organizer a reliable tool to have around.
However, there is one downside: the organizer's size might be a bit too large for some users, especially for those looking for a more compact solution. But overall, the Nadex Coins Desktop Coin Sorter and Dispenser Organizer is a fantastic product that has made organizing my coins a breeze.

🔗Sophisticated Coin Sorter and Wrapper with Counting and Sorting Capabilities

It's a lifesaver when it comes to counting and sorting coins. Imagine sifting through piles of change, separating them by coin value, and wrapping them up so you can keep them organized - this coin sorter does all that and more. It's a business-grade machine that simplifies the process, saving time and energy.
I remember trying it out for the first time with a handful of coins, just to see how it worked. To my surprise, it did the job effortlessly – sorting and counting every single coin, even the smaller ones like pennies and nickels. Its ability to display how much of each coin type is being sorted and counted, along with the total value of the batch, made it even more impressive.
The coin tube attachments also came in handy, making it a cinch to fill pre-formed coin wrappers. And if that wasn't enough, the one-touch batch setting feature with auto-stop function ensured nothing got overfilled accidentally.
Overall, it's a reliable and user-friendly device that's perfect for busy individuals or businesses in need of an efficient way to manage their coins.

🔗High-Speed Coin Counter & Sorter with Offsort Function

https://preview.redd.it/qkhvh0124q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6d5cd0ba0911289ee0a89710086bb37eb3851d18
I've been using the Semacon S-140 Coin Counter & Sorter for a while now and I must say, it's a game-changer. The ease of use is remarkable, with the user-friendly control panel allowing for quick settings of coin size. Its electric/electronic operation makes it a dream come true for those in need of high-speed counting and sorting.
The pushbutton control panel is a breeze to operate, providing the functions most often used by the operator. However, the coin sorting feature stands out the most, allowing me to count and optionally bag or package the largest coin while separating the smaller coins into a second bag or tray.
One downside is that it's only available in 110 volt or 220 volt, which could be limiting for some users. Nonetheless, its ability to process coins at ultra-high speeds yet remain quieter than many other coin counters is truly noteworthy.
Overall, the Semacon S-140 Coin Counter & Sorter has been a reliable and efficient addition to my daily routine, making coin counting and sorting a hassle-free task.

But, one area where it could improve is in its capacity. With room for up to 460 coins, it might not be enough for people who save a lot of coins. And while its wooden finish is a classy touch, some might prefer a more straightforward design.
Still, overall, I'm quite happy with this little coin holder. It helps keep my change organized, and as a bonus, it adds a touch of class to any room.

🔗Manual Coin Sorter with 200 Coins Capacity

As someone who had long been on the hunt for an efficient way to sort through a massive collection of coinage, I recently stumbled upon the royal Sovereign QS-1 manual coin sorter. Its unique design and portability immediately caught my attention, but I had my doubts about its efficiency. After using it for a few days, I can confidently say that my initial reservations were unfounded.
The first thing I noticed about this manual sorter was its impressive speed. Within minutes, I had piles of coins properly sorted into their respective tubes. While I expected the occasional jam or misplacement, I was pleasantly surprised by how minimal those issues were. With consistent and careful handling, I found that I could easily avoid most jams and maintain a steady flow of coins towards my targeted tubes.
One impressive feature that stood out to me from the start was the hopper's capacity to hold up to 200 coins at once. This eliminated the need for constant refilling, allowing me to focus more on sorting and less on tedious tasks. Additionally, the preformed paper wrappers that accompany the coin tubes provide an added level of convenience when it comes to packaging and organizing my coin stash.
While using the royal Sovereign QS-1 manual coin sorter, I encountered a few challenges. Firstly, I noticed that the plastic coin tubes could benefit from clearer labeling when it comes to coin quantity per wrapper. This, in turn, would have made it easier for me to avoid overfilling certain tubes and ensure the proper weight and balance of each coin roll.
Another minor inconvenience was the occasional difficulty in removing coins that have gotten stuck in the tubes. However, with a bit of patience and the help of a small tool, I was able to resolve the issue and keep the sorter functioning at an optimal level.
Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with the performance of this manual coin sorter. Though it requires a bit of trial and error at first, it has proven to be a worthy investment for those looking to streamline the process of sorting and organizing their coin collections. With careful handling and attention to detail, the royal Sovereign QS-1 can successfully handle hundreds of coins with relative ease.

🔗Versatile Nadex Coins Coin Handling Tray for Efficient Coin Sorting

https://preview.redd.it/p5unhs834q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0e6c9d49e7ce97bee9dd1ffa805edbaec00d7478
Recently, I found myself in need of a coin handling tray to help me with my daily coin counting tasks. Being somewhat particular about how my coins are organized, I was on the lookout for something user-friendly, and that's when I came across the Nadex Coins Coin Handling Tray Beige.
Once I started using it, I was pleased with how the tray had been designed to fit coins of all shapes and sizes, brand new or worn out after years of use. I appreciated how the tray allowed me to quickly insert and remove coins, helping me to maintain better order and speed up my coin wrapping process. The denominations marked on the tray made it easier for me to keep track of my coin totals, which was a big advantage, especially when dealing with large volumes of change.
However, one aspect of the tray that I felt could be improved was the staggered rows. While it did enable me to count more coins across the rows compared to similar products, I found that it had two separate rows for twenty-five cent coins, when it should have been a single row for fifty cents. As a result, I had to manually count to make sure I wasn't short-changing myself.
Despite this minor flaw, I still found the Nadex Coins Coin Handling Tray Beige to be a useful addition to my coin handling routine. Its compact size, easy portability thanks to the included cover, and ability to clearly sort and count coins made it worth its place in my daily life.

🔗Rapid Electric Coin Sorter with Anti-Jam Technology

https://preview.redd.it/sd6hhgr34q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=930c8b83f661657b5c52052dca9551ff0a715e95
As someone who recently tried the Royal Sovereign One Row Electric Coin Sorter (CO-1000), I can say that it is a fast and convenient way to sort coins. The product's highlight, the 240-coin per minute speed, makes it a reliable and efficient option for anyone looking to manage their coins quickly.
What stood out to me the most was the coin hopper's capacity to hold up to 300 coins, allowing me to sort a large amount of coins at once without needing to replenish the hopper frequently. This feature made the process more manageable and time-saving for my needs.
However, there were some drawbacks to using this coin sorter. For starters, I experienced a coin jamming issue, which caused me to take the sorter apart and repair it. While the anti-jam technology claimed to prevent this, it seems that the issue was not entirely resolved, at least in my experience.
Additionally, I found it frustrating that the coins did not always fall into the designated coin tubes. Some foreign or oversized coins occasionally got stuck on the way to the wrappers, requiring manual intervention to clear them.
Despite these issues, I still believe that the Royal Sovereign One Row Electric Coin Sorter (CO-1000) is a useful product, especially for its price. If these drawbacks can be addressed, it could become a go-to option for those seeking an easy, automatic way to manage their coin collections.

As a reviewer, I've had the pleasure of using the Royal Sovereign CO-1000N Coin Sorter in my daily life. This nifty device has proven to be a game-changer when it comes to sorting my coins. With a capacity to hold up to 300 coins and sort them at a rate of 240 coins per minute, it's a real workhorse in my wallet.
One feature that truly stands out is its patented anti-jam technology, which ensures precise internal sorting so I don't have to worry about any mishaps during the coin-sorting process. I can easily pull out coin-filled wrappers and roll them up, thanks to the removable plastic coin tubes.
However, I did notice that it can be a bit loud sometimes, but that's a small price to pay for its functionality. Overall, the Royal Sovereign CO-1000N Coin Sorter is a convenient and efficient choice for anyone looking to sort their coins in a hurry.

🔗High-Speed Coin Sorter and Counter with LCD Display

As a busy business owner, I've found it challenging to count and sort all my coins efficiently, but this electronic USD Coin Sorter and Counter has been a game-changer. The machine is effortless to use: simply pour your coins into the hopper and press start to watch it work its magic.
It sorts and counts the coins swiftly, with the option to either use the included tubes for coin wrappers or bins, depending on my preference for that day. What makes it even more impressive is its ability to sort 270 coins per minute, eliminating any concern of getting behind on my daily cash transactions.
With the backlit LCD screen, not only do I have a clear count of all the denominations, but it also displays a total count, making it easy to keep track of my earnings. However, there is one downside: the instructions could be clearer on utilizing the coin wrapper holder, as it took me some trial and error to get it right.
Despite this minor issue, the overall convenience and efficiency of this Coin Sorter make it a valuable investment for any business in need of sorting and counting their US coins.

🔗Easy-to-Use Coin Sorter with Color-Coded Tubes

Recently, I tried out the Coin Counters & Coin Sorters Tubes Bundle of 4 Color-Coded Coin Tubes and 100 Assorted Coin Wrappers. It's a nifty little gadget that I couldn't resist trying out, especially since I always have a lot of coins lying around the house. The tubes are color-coded, making it super easy to differentiate between pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters.
One of the things I really liked about this product was how easy it was to use. All I needed to do was insert the coin rolls into the tubes, drop the coins in, invert the tube, and voila - the coins were counted, and I could seal them up. It was a quick and painless process, and I enjoyed using it.
However, there was one downside to this product that I did notice. While the tubes worked well for pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters, I found that the penny tube required a few extra pennies to reach the level required. This might not be a deal-breaker for some, but it was something I noticed during my testing.
Overall, I'd say that this Coin Counters & Coin Sorters Tubes Bundle is a pretty handy little gadget. If you're someone who always has a bunch of coins lying around the house and wants an easy way to sort and count them, this product is definitely worth considering. Just be aware of the small issue with the penny tube.

🔗Royal Sovereign 2 Row Digital Coin Sorter FS-2D for Easy and Quick Coin Sorting

https://preview.redd.it/xsni8av54q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0f2283a0132430a60bf9b9b442c6c38e10398359
When I first tried the Royal Sovereign 2 Row Digital Coin Sorter, I was genuinely excited. I had a jar full of loose change that I wanted to get rid of and this seemed like the perfect solution. The first thing I noticed was how fast it could sort out coins, up to 312 per minute. That's impressive! The large hopper capacity also allowed me to dump in a significant number of coins at once, without having to constantly refill it - a feature I truly appreciated.
The product came with a couple of pre-formed coin wrappers, which I thought was a neat touch. It made the transition from sorting to wrapping seamless. However, I also noticed that the coin counter comes with some noise when operating, which might be an issue for those who prefer a quieter environment.
The anti-jam feature was a standout for me. I had never used a coin sorter before, so I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. But this feature ensured that the coins kept moving smoothly through the machine, without any unexpected jams.
But, as with any product, there were a couple of cons. The first was the coin counter's size - it's quite large and might not fit on a smaller countertop. Secondly, while the product worked well most of the time, there were a few instances where the coin counter got a bit confused - it would sometimes sort coins into the wrong slot.
Overall, while the Royal Sovereign 2 Row Digital Coin Sorter has its quirks, I found it to be a useful tool for sorting and organizing loose change. It saved me a lot of time and made the process enjoyable.

🔗Portable Coin Sorting Organizer with Detachable Cover

https://preview.redd.it/twmqc4664q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4f192981aa98a3db92da9233e16c805af06acd9e
When I first used the PEN+GEAR Coin Manager Pro, I was pleasantly surprised by its slim and sleek design. It fits perfectly in my pocket or on my keychain, making it a convenient addition to my daily essentials. One of the standout features is its clear slots that allow you to easily see when you need to add more coins, which is a lifesaver when I'm juggling multiple tasks at once.
I did notice, however, that the measurements for some coins, particularly pennies, seem slightly off. It takes a bit of trial and error to get the hang of it, but once I figured it out, it became a breeze. I like how the tray comes with coin wrappers, making it easier to organize my coins and create sets for collecting or spending.
Overall, the Coin Manager Pro is a handy tool for anyone who wants to keep their loose change organized and accessible. While it has a minor flaw with the coin measurements, it doesn't significantly impact its usability, and the benefits outweigh its limitations.

🔗Modern Coin Sorter with Digital Display and Removable Tubes

The Teachers Choice Digital Coin Counter and Sorter, as the name suggests, is a lifesaver for both children and adults alike. Whether you save pennies, nickels, dimes, or quarters, this sorter makes organization a breeze. The digital LCD display keeps track of your savings, while the four separate tubes ensure that each coin type is tucked away perfectly.
One of the most notable features is how easy it is to use. Insert the coin into the sorter and watch as it automatically sorts it into the correct tube. The process is quite engaging, and it even helps children learn the value of money and basic math principles.
Yet, this device isn't without its quirks. Sometimes, a coin might end up in the tube sideways or not exactly where it's supposed to be. All you need to do is give it a little shake, and everything will fall into place.
The product itself is quite sturdy, with the ABS plastic construction making it a safer and more durable option compared to glass or ceramic piggy banks. And yes, it's perfect for all ages, making it a great addition to your home's financial organization system.
Despite these minor issues, the Teachers Choice Digital Coin Counter and Sorter exceeds our expectations. It's a practical tool that educates, organizes, and encourages good financial habits.

🔗Effortless Black Coin Sorter for Sorting and Counting Coins

https://preview.redd.it/oemo82374q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=55d91169f3f049639e0e890ec85f537e35c6aa4e
I recently got my hands on the Royal CS120 Black Coin Sorter, and let me tell you, it's been quite the experience. At first, I was excited to sort my loose change into quarters, nickels, dimes, and pennies using these neat little tubes with fill lines. But boy, was it challenging!
Firstly, the tubes were pretty big, which made it hard to fit in the smaller coins like pennies and dimes. I had to constantly open the lid and adjust the tubes, ensuring the white line was correctly aligned to prevent any mix-ups. But honestly, it wasn't all that bad. I thought it'd be tedious, but it actually became quite fun.
The digital readout that counts the total money in the sorter? Well, that was another story altogether. It didn't always give an accurate count, but I didn't mind much because I bought the sorter mainly for sorting, not counting.
But hey, let's not overlook the issue with the rolls. When you empty a tube, you have to put the money wrapper in before manually dropping in the coins. I got myself some extra rolls, which made the process much easier, especially when dealing with a piggy bank of coins.
My main gripe though is the quality of the sorter. It felt kind of cheap, and I had some worries about how long it would last, especially if my kids started using it. But for the price, I thought it was worth the risk.
So, while it might not be perfect, I've found the Royal CS120 to be a fun and efficient way to sort my loose change. And hey, it's even been a great learning experience for my kids!

Cassida's C-C850 Heavy Duty Coin Counter & Off-Sorter has proven to be a reliable workhorse in my daily processing of mixed coins and tokens. As a busy retailer, the 2-speed motorized hopper has been a lifesaver, quickly sorting my coin collection without any jams. The high-capacity hopper, capable of holding up to 6,500 coins, has been perfect for my needs.
However, the one downside I've experienced is that this particular unit is slower and prone to jamming compared to my other Cassida counter at a different location. Despite this issue, I still appreciate the ease of use and durability that Cassida's C-C850 offers in my daily business.

Ease of Use

Consider a coin sorter that is easy to use, with a simple mechanism for sorting coins. Look for sorters with a clear and intuitive display, and one that doesn't take much effort to operate.

What is a Coin Sorter?

A coin sorter is a device that helps you sort and store your coins, usually in separate compartments for each denomination. It typically has a slot for inserting coins and a system for separating them into their respective compartments based on size and weight.

Why should I use a Coin Sorter?

  • Organizes your coins:
Coin sorting devices help you sort your coins by denomination, making it easier to manage your change and keep everything organized.
  • Saves time:
Instead of manually sorting your coins, a coin sorter automates the process for you, saving you time and effort.
  • Prevents coin damage:
Sorting your coins in a device designed to handle them gently will prevent scratches and bending, keeping them in better condition.
  • Space-saving:
Coin sorters usually come in compact designs, making them ideal for storage in small homes or offices.

How does a Coin Sorter work?

Coin sorters work by using a combination of size and weight sensors to detect the type of coin being inserted. When you insert a coin into the slot, the device reads the size and weight of the coin, allowing it to fall into the appropriate compartment. Some advanced models even use magnets or electronic sensors for a more precise sorting process.

What types of coins can a Coin Sorter handle?

Most coin sorters are designed to handle standard-sized coins such as pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters. They may also have separate compartments for larger coins like half-dollars and foreign coins.

Where can I purchase a Coin Sorter?

Coin sorters can be found in various online stores, specialty shops, and retail outlets like drugstores and supermarkets. It's best to research and compare different models and prices before making a purchase to ensure you find the right coin sorter for your needs.

Can I turn a Coin Sorter into a piggy bank?

Yes, you can adapt a coin sorter into a piggy bank by keeping the coins in the devices' compartments and labeling them as separate savings accounts or piggy banks for each denomination. This way, you can still sort your coins and keep track of your savings progress.

How do I clean and maintain my Coin Sorter?

  • Empty the compartments:
Regularly empty the coin sorter to prevent the buildup of dirt, dust, and bacteria.
  • Wipe down the exterior:
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the coin sorter, removing any dirt or fingerprints.
  • Inspect the sorting mechanism:
Periodically inspect the coin sorter's sorting mechanism to ensure it's functioning correctly and free of debris or obstructions.

2024.05.21 08:00 zumbalicka In a live 1/2 game, should we size JJ/99 differently than AA-QQ/AJ on J92hhx?

Let’s take an example:
$300 eff
Hero opens $15 UTG with XX, 6 callers
Flop ($105): J❤️9♣️2❤️
Hero ??
a) With JJ/99, Hero cbets $75 so he can shove any turn. Slightly better with 99 obv as we unblock TP.
b) However, with AA-QQ/AJ, we need to proceed a little more cautiously so multi-way as when we bet $75, we’ll only get action from sets or big draws and aren’t happy fist pump getting it in if raised. So Hero bets $45 so he can evaluate if raised. If just called, we can THEN evaluate and possibly bet a bigger % of pot OTT.
How’s this exploit?

The macronutrient distribution in this plan focuses on providing a balanced intake of protein, carbs, and fats using whole, plant-based foods. For fat loss, the overall caloric intake and the balance between macronutrients should support a caloric deficit while ensuring sufficient protein to preserve muscle mass.

Evaluating the Plan for Fat Loss

Protein: - Aim for 100-120g of protein per day to support muscle maintenance during fat loss. - The provided plan averages about 80g of protein per day, which is slightly below the target. You may want to increase protein by adding more high-protein plant foods such as additional protein powder, more legumes, or nuts/seeds.
Carbohydrates: - Carbohydrates in this plan come primarily from whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, providing necessary fiber and nutrients. - The carb intake ranges from about 150g to 270g per day. For many people, this is moderate and can be adjusted depending on individual tolerance and activity levels. - For fat loss, focus on complex carbs and avoid refined sugars. The plan already avoids refined sugars, focusing on complex carbs.
Fats: - Healthy fats are included from sources like avocados, nuts, seeds, and oils. - The fat intake ranges from about 28g to 59g per day, which is within a reasonable range for a balanced diet.

Adjustments for Optimal Fat Loss

If you feel the carb intake is too high for your specific needs, consider the following adjustments:
  1. Increase Protein:
    • Add a second scoop of plant-based protein powder to your smoothies or oatmeal.
    • Incorporate more high-protein snacks, like an additional serving of edamame or a handful of nuts.
  2. Reduce Carbs:
    • Substitute some grains (like quinoa) with more vegetables (like leafy greens) to reduce overall carb intake.
    • Limit starchy vegetables (e.g., sweet potatoes) on some days and replace them with lower-carb options (e.g., cauliflower or zucchini).
  3. Portion Control:
    • Adjust portion sizes to ensure a caloric deficit. For example, you can have half a cup of quinoa instead of a full cup, or reduce the amount of fruit in your smoothies.

Sample Day Adjusted for Lower Carbs and Higher Protein

Breakfast: - Smoothie: - 1 cup spinach - 1/2 banana (instead of a whole banana) - 1/2 cup frozen berries - 1 cup unsweetened almond milk - 2 scoops plant-based protein powder (to increase protein)
Lunch: - Chickpea Salad Wraps: - 1 cup mashed chickpeas - 1/4 cup diced celery - 1/4 cup diced bell peppers - 2 tbsp tahini - 2 large lettuce leaves (as wraps) - Reduce portion to 3/4 cup chickpeas and add an extra 1/4 cup edamame for more protein and fiber.
Snack: - 1 apple with 2 tbsp almond butter (adjust to 1 tbsp almond butter for lower calories)
Dinner: - Stuffed Bell Peppers: - 2 large bell peppers - 1/2 cup cooked quinoa (instead of 1 cup) - 1/2 cup black beans - 1/2 cup corn - 1 tbsp nutritional yeast - Add 1/2 cup extra firm tofu or tempeh (soy-free option like seitan if avoiding soy) to boost protein
This adjusted day reduces overall carb intake while increasing protein to support muscle preservation and fat loss.
Final Note: It's essential to tailor the plan to your specific needs, activity level, and preferences. Monitor your progress and adjust portions and macros as needed to stay on track with your fat loss goals. Always consider consulting with a registered dietitian or nutritionist to ensure the plan meets your nutritional needs.

2024.05.21 07:24 alice999307 Situational Q&A: NHI (National Health Insurance) and Medical Services-1

Situation 1: Michelle, an international student, will be studying in Hualien County to obtain her degree and hopes to gain a better understanding of the National Health Insurance.
Q1: How and when can I obtain the NHI (National Health Insurance) card? A1: NHI stands for National Health Insurance, which is necessary for all individuals living in Taiwan. Of course, the process of obtaining NHI depends on your residency status as a foreigner living in Taiwan. Let's break down how and when you can get NHI!
Foreign Students If you've come to Taiwan to study at a university, getting NHI is quite straightforward. It's important to remember that foreigners can obtain NHI only after living continuously in Taiwan for six months on an ARC (Alien Resident Certificate), but you are allowed to leave the country once for up to 30 days during this 6-month period. After these six months, your university will collect insurance fees for each semester upon registration. As a student, you'll only need to pay the insurance fee, which is 826 NTD as of 2024, and then wait for notification from the university that your card is ready for collection. Insurance fees are collected from September to February in the first semester and from March to August in the second semester.
International students can be employed part-time in Taiwan. In this case, students with a steady part-time job should be registered in the program as employees through their employers. Don't forget to inform your university about this. The university will reimburse you a portion of the insurance fee you've already paid.
If you are seasonally employed, meaning you are a full-time student who only works during summer and winter vacations for fewer than 3 months and returns to school when classes resume, you do not need to change your enrollment status during the period of employment.
Foreign Workers A foreign worker must be registered in the National Health Insurance Program from the first day of employment. Therefore, those working in Taiwan are not subject to the six-month waiting period. Your employer should register you and be responsible for paying your insurance (formerly known as the "insurance registration organization").
If you're a company chairperson or owner, you need to set up your own insurance registration unit. If you have another primary job, you can be insured through that company or agency without enrolling as a responsible person.
If you're employed but don't have a fixed employer, like being a member of an occupational union, a farmers' or fishermen's association, or are actively involved in farming or fishing, you should enroll in the National Health Insurance through your respective union or association.
If you are working two jobs at the same time, then you should be registered in the NHI program through your main employer. Your main employer is the one where you work more hours; if the hours are similar, then income can be the deciding factor.
Unemployed foreigners If you are unemployed and qualify as a dependent, you should be registered in the NHI program through your employed spouse or direct blood relatives.
If you cannot be enrolled through your spouse or direct blood relatives, you are required to enroll in the program at the local administrative office where your household is registered, under the identity of a "regional citizen."
If you are an unemployed veteran or a dependent of a deceased veteran, then you can enroll in the program through the administrative office where your household is registered under the identity of "veteran."
For more information, please feel free to ask or refer to the NHI handbook (click the specific link below).
Q2: What medical services are covered by the NHI? A2: The National Health Insurance (NHI) in Taiwan covers a wide range of medical services, such as: Outpatient services Inpatient services Emergency care Surgery Laboratory tests Prescription drugs Dental care Mental health services Traditional Chinese Medicine Rehabilitation services The medical payments include diagnosis, assessment, laboratory tests, consultations, surgical procedures, anesthesia, prescriptions, supplies, therapies, nursing care, and covered hospital accommodations. Essentially, all essential healthcare services are included in the system.
Q3: How can I understand the cost of services under NHI in advance? A3: Under Taiwan's National Health Insurance (NHI), patients are required to make co-payments for medical services, including hospital visits, outpatient care, prescription drugs, and various medical procedures.
Let's see a breakdown of typical co-payments for various medical services under NHI! Visiting a hospital or clinic with a referral: Co-payment for Medical Center with referral is fixed at 170 NTD. For Regional Hospital it is 100 NTD. For District Hospital it is 50 NTD. And for Clinic it is 50 NTD. Visiting a hospital directly without a referral costs more: Co-payment for Medical Center without referral is fixed at 420 NTD. For Regional Hospital it is 240 NTD. For District Hospital it is 80 NTD. And for Clinic co-payment remains fixed at 50 NTD. For visiting dentist and traditional Chinese clinics, the co-payment is fixed at 50 NTD regardless of the level of medical institution.
Important to know For patients with a disability identification, the basic co-payment is charged at the Clinic rate (NT$50) regardless of the level of medical institution visited by the patient.
The following situations are regarded as visits with referral: Follow-up visits within one month of a medical visit with a referral sheet, limited to a maximum of four times. The first follow-up visit after outpatient surgery, emergency surgery, or discharge from the hospital. The first follow-up visit within six weeks after childbirth. Therefore, the co-payment for such visits is charged according to the standards of medical visits with referral, and hospitals may issue relevant certificates for patients. During a course of treatment, patients only need to pay the co-payment for their initial visit (excluding rehabilitative physical therapy and Traditional Chinese Medicine traumatology).
Emergency Care Co-payment Standard: Medical Center: 740 NTD Regional Hospital: 400 NTD District Hospital: 150 NTD Clinic: 150 NTD Near-poor Households/Individuals with Disabilities: Medical Center: 550 NTD Regional Hospital: 300 NTD District Hospital: 150 NTD Clinic: 150 NTD
Co-payment cost for outpatient prescribed drugs
Regular prescriptions: If the cost of the medication is equal to or less than 100 NTD: In Clinics and District Hospitals: Patients are exempt from co-payment (no co-payment). In Regional Hospitals and Medical Centers: The co-payment is 10 NTD. If the cost of the medication is equal to or greater than 101 NTD:
In all levels of medical institutions, an additional 20% will be charged for every 100 NTD. For example, if the price of medication is in the 101-200 NTD range, then the co-payment is 20 NTD; if in the 201-300 NTD range, then the co-payment is 40 NTD. In Clinics and District Hospitals: If the medication cost starts from 1001 NTD, the upper limit for co-payment is reached, and the co-payment is fixed at 200 NTD. In Regional Hospitals and Medical Centers: If the medication cost is in the range from 1001-1500 NTD, the co-payment is fixed at 200 NTD.If the medication cost starts from 1501 NTD, the upper limit of co-payment is reached at 300 NTD.
Refillable prescriptions: In Clinics: Patients are exempted from the co-payment. In District Hospitals, Regional Hospitals, and Medical Centers: The first time filling a refillable prescription follows the same rules as outlined above for regular prescriptions. From the second refill onwards, patients are exempted from the co-payment.
Important to know For Traditional Chinese medication co-payment, the same system as that of Clinics is used. Costs under 100 NTD are exempt; for costs equal to or greater than 101 NTD, an additional 20% will be charged for every 100 NTD. At Dental Clinics, outpatient prescription drug expenses are exempted from co-payment. Emergency Care Prescription: For Clinics and District Hospitals: 150 NTD For Regional Hospitals: 400 NTD. For Medical Centers: 750 NTD. I hope now you have a better understanding of how to calculate the cost of medical services under NHI. Feel free to ask more questions or refer to this webpage (click the specific link below).
Q4: What services are completely free under NHI? A4: With NHI, you can access a wide range of medical services at very affordable prices, and some services are fully covered! However, it's always a good idea to ask your doctor or a consultant at the hospital/clinic about which services will be covered.
Let's break down what kind of services can be fully covered under NHI: Basic Medical Examinations: These are routine tests to check your health, like measuring blood pressure, checking cholesterol levels, and assessing kidney function through urine tests. Preventive Services like Vaccinations and Screenings: This includes vaccines to protect against diseases like measles, mumps, and rubella, as well as screenings for diseases like cancer or diabetes. These screenings aim to catch health problems early for easier treatment. Essential Surgeries: These surgeries are necessary to treat a medical condition and improve health or save lives. For example, removing an appendix, fixing a broken bone, or treating a serious infection. Hospital Stays in General Rooms: This means staying in a hospital room shared with other patients (one room with 3 beds or more) and having basic facilities. General rooms provide standard care for conditions that don't require intensive monitoring or specialized equipment. Some Prescription Medications: Certain medicines prescribed by doctors are fully covered by NHI, so patients can get them from the pharmacy without paying anything. These often include essential medications for common conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, and infections. Medications with a cost below 100 NTD will be fully covered or will require a 10 NTD co-payment. Dental care: Most medications prescribed by dentists are fully covered by the National Health Insurance (NHI). However, it's important to note that full-mouth anesthesia is not covered. Also, you have the right to receive two dental cleanings per year fully covered, allowing the general public to get dental calculus removal. People with tooth decay may be eligible, depending on a dentist's evaluation, for fluoride varnish treatment. As long as the cavity does not reach the pulp (where the tooth's nerves and blood vessels are located), it can be fully covered by the National Health Insurance (NHI). Generally, the National Health Insurance (NHI) will cover the extraction of wisdom teeth, supernumerary teeth, and impacted teeth. However, extractions for corrective purposes (teeth that are intact and without decay problems) will not be covered by NHI.
Medical expenses in Taiwan are relatively inexpensive, so don't worry about spending a lot of money when seeing a doctor. Therefore, don't be afraid to go to the hospital.
Q5: In which hospitals can I utilize NHI services, specifically at Hualien hospitals? A5: Here is the list of hospitals in Hualien in Chinese (the English version will be posted and updated later). But if we talk about the most popular hospitals in Hualien where you can definitely get assistance in English, then we can list these hospitals: Mennonite Christian Hospital Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital Hualien Hospital Smiles-Dental
Q6: Is it possible to receive NHI consultation in English? A6: Yes! It is possible to receive NHI consultation in English! The back of the NHI card has a hotline number for inquiries: 0800-030-598, or by mobile phone call 02-412-8678. Calling the number is free of charge.

2024.05.21 07:19 nebulnaskigxulo First ML Project Question

Hello all,
I'm currently doing my first ML project, and I have the issue that the loss rate does not really decrease (at least over the first three epochs). The ML training is supposed to be a binary text classification based on pretrained SciBERT, torch and sklearn. I attach the code below. Am I doing something obviously wrong with the settings/code or is it just that the input data sucks? (they are rather imbalanced, so I wouldn't be surprised; don't have any choice in improving this though, since I don't have time for that at the moment).
I would be immensely grateful for any input.
import pandas as pd from sklearn.model_selection import train_test_split from sklearn.utils import resample from transformers import AutoTokenizer, AutoModelForSequenceClassification, Trainer, TrainingArguments import torch from torch.utils.data import Dataset import os import glob def load_data(file_path): # Read the CSV file into a DataFrame df = pd.read_csv(file_path) # Encode the classification column into binary labels df['label'] = df['classification'].apply(lambda x: 1 if x == "external_rd" else 0) # Debug: Print the initial class distribution print("Class distribution before up-sampling:") print(df['label'].value_counts()) return df def balance_data(df): # Separate majority and minority classes df_majority = df[df.label == 0] df_minority = df[df.label == 1] # Debug: Print the sizes of the majority and minority classes print(f"Number of majority class samples: {len(df_majority)}") print(f"Number of minority class samples: {len(df_minority)}") # Check if there are any minority samples if len(df_minority) == 0: raise ValueError("No minority class samples found. 2024.05.21 06:28 Severe-Technician-43 My experience with Kindercare 🥱

So let me tell yall about this job I was working at before I made the ultimate decision to leave. Bare with me because it’s a long ride…
So for starters, I was working at a daycare not long ago, it wasn't too bad. The job itself was good and the pay wasn't so bad either. I'd work 80-90 hrs bi weekly. So l'd get paid biweekly but my Manager? OOUUUUU she is just, idk how to explain it. Shes just one of those managers who believes she’s above everyone including her employees. My coworkers? Worse. They all literally compete against each other. It’s weird asf if you ask me. I was a teacher aid. At the end of the day, teacheteacher aid. We’re all getting paid the same and working the same hours (besides part timers) nevermind the fact, The amount of incidents that occur in the center is ABSURD.
So if you know Florida, you know Florida is hot AS FUCK ALL YEAR ROUND (majority of the time) a parent comes to pick up their child in the classroom and the child isn't present and they not checked out on the CSR (Child Supervision Report) To better explain, Anytime a child leaves we have to mark the time they left on the paper. So basically, for better understanding… Arrival times and departure times. Including if they were moved to a different classroom also if we take children outside. That is also marked on the CSR. CSR’s also have something called “Name-to-face” which has hourly times where us as the teachers or teacher aids have to mark the minute within the hour so for example: 12PM so for that we would check the time once it’s 12PM and then add the minute which for example would be: 12:43. After we do that we have to check every child off that they are still in the classroom within that time. At the bottom we have to count the amount of children and the amount of teachers and initial at the bottom. It’s basically to help teachers keep track of when children leave or if a child is missing. Well, said child isn't checked out on the CSR. parent goes crazy trying to figure out where kid is because no one else picks child up besides parents. Turns out the kid is outside on the playground sleeping. IN THE HEAT, So parent goes to my boss and goes completely bazurk. Which I don't blame them. Parent mentions how they are worried about the child maybe having had a heat stroke and that’s maybe why they are on the playground sleeping but that’s what the CSR is for.
Another kid, in the toddler Classroom. Probably the cutest child. Little Cuban/Puerto Rican baby if I’m not wrong.I kid you not, that child HAS STACKS ON TOP OF STACKS ON TOP OF STACKS of incident reports from them biting kids. Child bit a another child in their sleep. When parents were told about the behavior they looked at us and literally laughed and said "well my child is being provoked to act that way” PROVOKED BUT THEY WAS SLEEPING? manager wouldn’t kick them out the center but was quit to kick another child out for hitting another child ONCE. Should I also add that this specific child had to be put in a classroom with the same gender be they attack the other gender. Not to mention, some of the teacher (not myself included) be spanking the child who likes to bite. My boss has no idea but I have indeed seen it first hand and may I add that obviously us as the teachers aren’t supposed to be hitting and or spanking but…. NOBODY and I mean nobody wants to deal with said child. Everyone refuses to be in the classroom with that child. May I also mention that the spanking includes pulling their ear, pulling their hair, pushing them on the ground and pinching their body.
One of coworkers, has a medical condition apparently but long story short, coworker falls asleep very easily. You can be talking to them about something important and they are literally ASLEEP. Coworker was in the infant classroom with me and was rocking one of the babies to sleep. Coworker started falling asleep so l asked them politely to hand me the baby. They refused so I said "whatever if they get in trouble that's on them” sure enough they dropped the baby on their head. A 3WEEK OLD BABY. Causing the soft spot to become misplaced. Now said coworker has an open court case for that with the family and they're trying to sue the center for neglect.
My daughter came to work with me one day. While being there she did good but a child slapped her straight in her face and that was enough for me to say "yeah she's never coming back" and she hasn't since. I never told my boss about it because even then, what would be done? Nothing but an incident report would be written. Also, while on the playground. My daughter was trying to reach the water and couldn’t. For those who don’t already know, my daughter is a little person so she often times needs assistance. She was standing there for I KID YOU NOT, 15 mins waiting on said teacher to help her reach the water. Teacher was standing around gossiping with other teachers. That was a red flag for me.
The worse thing about it is, it's said to be a learning center right???? Well sad to tell you but they do no actual curriculum with the kids, kids sit in a classroom majority of the time playing with broken toys or toys that are missing pieces. Fight with one another or sleep. They eat lunch and snack and other stuff but they only go outside twice a day for 30 mins. They (the teachers) have a whole book to read from and figure out curriculum but they don't do it so most the time the kids are over stimulated being locked up inside. They're also supposed to potty train the kids but NOPE, not even that. There are 4-5 year olds in the center who still wear diapers. It's crazy honestly. I’ve never seen more lazy and neglectful workers A DAY IN MY LIFE. Diapers are supposed to be changed every two hours but they don’t check them or change them accordingly. Children have gotten back to back rashes due to the neglect of diaper changes.
Now about my boss, her son, he is the absolute cutest being ever. He's literally a chunky monkey. We all call him Babybear, chunks or chunka monks. Unfortunately, he has a lot of medical conditions so my boss is constantly in and out of the center but when she is in the center she does NOTHING all day besides yell at us or sit at her desk on her phone. Not engaging with parents, not helping out in the kitchen, NOT NOTHING. Just on her phone on TikTok or Instagram or on FaceTime and this is facts because I have indeed seen it while on my lunch break.
There was an incident that occurred while I was on the clock with the preschool kids. I was outside with them on the playground. I was helping a child pour water into the cup and another kid was on the playground on the slide. I hear crying so I turn around to see who it is and I notice bleeding so I run to the child to figure out what happened. Child won't tell me just only saying their mouth hurts so I call someone on the walkie to take the child up front for proper care. They take child and whatever boom, they get the care they need. I make an incident report and that's it. Anytime a child hurts themselves or they injur one another. An incident report had to be made for both parties. May I also add that our form of communication within the center is WALKIE TALKIES. NOWWW, Weeks after the incident my boss brings me into the kitchen and starts yelling at me I mean like screaming. Saying she can't trust me because I have yet to tell her what happened that day on the playground. Saying I'm an outsider to everyone within the center and I have to redeem myself to them. Anything I say to them (coworkers) will be ran back to her. I like “instigate” things with coworkers according to her. She also mentioned how she had multiple complaints about my coworkers saying that all I do my entire shift is sit in which I explained that I suffer from Vertigo. I have it written on medical papers and medication doesn’t help half the time. I sated that me sitting is me giving myself the opportunity to stop a dizzy spell from occurring and or progressing. She really just said a bunch of bullshit and that's really when I realized that I was done working there. I was being overworked for one and two, I really wasn’t appreciated so I left.
Sorry for the rant but moral of the story is…… DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS TO ANY KINDERCARE LEARNING CENTER AND OR WORK THERE. THEY ARE HORRIBLE, And I mean ALL of them. Keep your babies safe and yourself included stay blessed 🥹🩷

2024.05.21 05:00 Fit-Association-509 3.5 year old can't say her name

My third child is 3.5 and is struggling in language. We are in the middle of all the evaluations and working the steps to get her help. That's not my question. Her name is Sophie and she cannot pronounce her name. Not even close. She is very social, but children cannot understand her. Now that preschool is out (where students know her name) we are going to new places and meeting new friends she has developed a new approach. Her most recent strategy is when a child asks her name she finds me and takes me by the hand to her friend and then says something like "what name" which is my cue that the friend has asked her what her name is. It is heart wrenching, but I'm also proud that it doesn't interfere with her desire to play with other children so I never want to do or say anything that would alter her tenacious spirit. My question is this - after I tell the child her name, I almost want to explain to the child that she wants to play with you and you may not understand everything she says, but that's ok you can still have fun. However, I am hesitant to even say that in front of my child. She understands everything that we are saying and I know it's incredibly frustrating for her that she can't get it out. I welcome any kind advice on how to handle this scenario while we wait for the evaluations and for therapy to start.

What is Total ACOS?

Total ACOS, or Total Advertising Cost of Sales, is a crucial metric in Amazon advertising that reflects the ratio of your total ad spend to your total sales. This metric provides a holistic measure of your advertising performance by encompassing both organic and paid sales. Understanding Total ACOS is vital for optimizing your advertising strategy and ensuring that your ad spend is effectively driving revenue growth.

Calculation of Total ACOS

Total ACOS is calculated using the following formula:
Total ACOS=(Total Ad SpendTotal Sales)×100Total ACOS=(Total SalesTotal Ad Spend)×100
For example, if your total sales amount to $100,000 and your total ad spend is $10,000, your Total ACOS is:
Total ACOS=(10,000100,000)×100=10%Total ACOS=(100,00010,000)×100=10%

Importance of Total ACOS

Total ACOS offers several key benefits:

Example Scenario

Consider a scenario where a business generates $100,000 in total sales with an ad spend of $10,000. The Total ACOS in this case is 10%, meaning that for every dollar spent on advertising, the business earns ten dollars in sales. This metric provides a clear indication of the effectiveness of the advertising spend in driving overall sales.

Strategic Insights

Setting and Contextualizing Total ACOS Goals

Recommended Targets

When setting Total ACOS goals, it is essential to strike a balance that aligns with your overall business objectives and market conditions. Destaney Wishon, a recognized expert in Amazon advertising, suggests aiming for a Total ACOS between 5% and 10% for a healthy Amazon advertising account. This range is generally considered optimal for maintaining a good balance between ad spend and sales growth.

Interpreting Total ACOS Levels

Influencing Factors and Strategic Adjustments

To optimize Total ACOS, consider the following strategies based on your business goals:

Reducing Ad Spend

Increasing Sales

Monitoring and Adjusting Goals

Budget Optimization Tips

Reducing spending strategically can lower Total ACOS without compromising the effectiveness of your advertising campaigns. Here are some key tactics to achieve this:

Balanced Bids

Finding the optimal bid amount is crucial for maximizing impact while minimizing costs. Here are steps to ensure balanced bids:

Efficiency Audits

Regularly conducting efficiency audits can help identify and eliminate non-performing ads, thereby reallocating funds to more effective campaigns:

Additional Budget Optimization Tactics

1. Seasonal Budget Adjustments

2. Ad Placement Optimization

3. Enhanced Targeting

4. Ad Scheduling

Conclusion

Effective budget optimization requires a combination of strategic bidding, regular performance audits, and targeted advertising efforts. By implementing balanced bids, conducting efficiency audits, and employing additional optimization tactics such as seasonal adjustments, ad placement optimization, enhanced targeting, and ad scheduling, you can lower Total ACOS while maintaining or even improving the effectiveness of your Amazon advertising campaigns. This strategic approach not only helps in reducing costs but also maximizes the overall return on your advertising investment.

Embark on Your Amazon Reselling Adventure

Step into the dynamic realm of Amazon reselling, where opportunities abound, and innovation drives success. This comprehensive guide will reveal the strategies to navigate guidelines, overcome restrictions, and master best practices for unparalleled achievements.
Picture a vibrant marketplace where your entrepreneurial dreams can take flight—a space where small and medium-sized businesses thrive. In 2022, independent sellers in Amazon’s U.S. store sold over 4.1 billion products, with average sales reaching an impressive $230,000. This isn't just an aspiration; it's a reality waiting for you to grasp.
Your journey begins with essential questions: Where can you source items to resell on Amazon? How can you turn branded products into profitable ventures? This guide serves as your roadmap, offering a step-by-step approach to building a successful reselling empire in the expansive Amazon marketplace.

Understanding Reselling

Reselling goes beyond a mere business model; it's a refined craft. It's about unearthing valuable items from unexpected sources and offering them to eager buyers. Here’s your strategic guide:
  1. Research Product Demand:
    • Market Analysis: Dive deep into current market trends and consumer preferences. Use tools like Jungle Scout, Helium 10, and Google Trends to identify products with high demand and low competition.
    • Competitor Analysis: Study your competitors to understand their pricing strategies, customer reviews, and sales volumes. This will help you identify gaps in the market and potential opportunities.
    • Seasonal Trends: Keep an eye on seasonal trends and upcoming events that could boost demand for specific products.
  2. Procure the Products:
    • Reliable Suppliers: Establish relationships with reputable suppliers and wholesalers. Websites like Alibaba, SaleHoo, and local trade shows can be excellent sources.
    • Quality Control: Always inspect the quality of the products before purchasing in bulk. Request samples if possible to ensure they meet your standards.
    • Negotiation: Don't hesitate to negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to maximize your profit margins.
  3. List the Products Online:
    • Product Listings: Create detailed and compelling product listings. Use high-quality images, thorough descriptions, and relevant keywords to improve your visibility on Amazon.
    • Competitive Pricing: Research the pricing strategies of similar products and set competitive prices. Consider using dynamic pricing tools to adjust your prices based on market conditions.
    • SEO Optimization: Optimize your product listings for search engines by incorporating relevant keywords, bullet points, and customer reviews.
  4. Handle Shipping and Fulfillment:
    • Self-Fulfillment: If you choose to handle shipping yourself, ensure you have a reliable system in place for packaging, labeling, and dispatching orders promptly.
    • Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA): Alternatively, you can use Amazon’s FBA service, where Amazon handles storage, packing, and shipping. This can save you time and provide faster delivery options to your customers, but consider the costs involved.
  5. Manage Inventory and Customer Service:
    • Inventory Management: Keep track of your stock levels to avoid overselling or stockouts. Use inventory management software to automate the process and forecast future needs.
    • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries promptly, addressing issues efficiently, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Positive reviews and ratings can significantly impact your sales.
    • Returns and Refunds: Have a clear policy for returns and refunds. Handle returns professionally to maintain a good reputation and build trust with your customers.
By mastering these aspects of reselling, you'll be well-equipped to transform your business into a thriving venture on Amazon.

Decoding Profit Margin

Profit margin isn’t just a figure; it’s the heartbeat of your reselling venture. It determines whether your business merely survives or truly thrives. Here’s how to strike the perfect balance between competitive pricing and maintaining a healthy profit margin to ensure your reselling dreams stay afloat:
  1. Understanding Profit Margin:
    • Gross Profit Margin: This is the difference between the selling price and the cost of goods sold (COGS), expressed as a percentage. It reflects the profitability of your products before accounting for other expenses.
    • Net Profit Margin: This includes all expenses, such as shipping, fulfillment fees, advertising, and other operational costs. It's the true measure of your business’s profitability.
  2. Calculating Your Profit Margin:
    • Formula:
      • Gross Profit Margin = [(Selling Price - COGS) / Selling Price] x 100
      • Net Profit Margin = [(Selling Price - Total Expenses) / Selling Price] x 100
    • Example: If you sell a product for $100, and the COGS is $60, your gross profit margin is 40%. After including $20 for other expenses, your net profit margin would be 20%.
  3. Balancing Pricing and Profit:
    • Competitive Pricing: Research your competitors to set a price that is attractive to customers while still allowing you to make a profit. Avoid the temptation to underprice your products significantly, as this can erode your profit margins.
    • Value Proposition: Justify higher prices by emphasizing the unique value your products offer, such as superior quality, better customer service, or additional features.
  4. Reducing Costs:
    • Bulk Purchasing: Buying in larger quantities can lower your COGS due to discounts from suppliers.
    • Streamlined Operations: Use efficient inventory management and fulfillment processes to reduce operational costs.
    • Shipping Options: Explore various shipping methods to find cost-effective solutions that do not compromise delivery speed.
  5. Monitoring and Adjusting:
    • Regular Reviews: Frequently review your profit margins to identify trends and make adjustments as needed. This could involve tweaking prices, negotiating better deals with suppliers, or finding ways to cut operational costs.
    • Dynamic Pricing: Consider using dynamic pricing strategies that adjust based on market demand, competition, and inventory levels.
By carefully managing your profit margins, you ensure that your reselling business remains profitable and sustainable in the long run.

Is Reselling Your Calling?

Reselling appeals to those with a keen eye for lucrative opportunities, particularly in the following areas:
  1. Limited-Availability Items:
    • Scarcity Power: Capitalize on the limited availability of certain products. When demand outstrips supply, prices can soar, allowing you to turn a tidy profit.
    • Examples: Limited-edition sneakers, concert tickets, or special collaboration items.
  2. Exclusive or Rare Items:
    • Rare Collectibles: Seek out and sell rare collectibles, vintage treasures, and unique artworks. These items often attract discerning buyers willing to pay a premium.
    • Examples: Antique furniture, rare coins, vintage clothing, and limited-edition art prints.
  3. Seasonal Products:
    • Seasonal Waves: Leverage the high demand for seasonal items, such as holiday decorations, outdoor gear, and summer accessories. Timing is crucial to maximize sales during peak seasons.
    • Examples: Christmas lights, Halloween costumes, summer camping gear, and winter sports equipment.
  4. Clearance or Discounted Items:
    • Discounted Deals: Purchase items on clearance or at a discount and resell them at market value. This strategy allows you to profit from the price difference.
    • Examples: End-of-season clothing, overstock electronics, and discounted home goods.
  5. High-Demand Products:
    • Trending Items: Maintain a steady supply of trending products that are in high demand. Selling these items at competitive prices ensures a consistent flow of sales.
    • Examples: Popular tech gadgets, fitness equipment, beauty products, and fashionable accessories.
If you possess the knack for identifying these opportunities, reselling could be your calling. It’s about recognizing value where others might not and delivering that value to eager buyers, ultimately transforming your skills into a profitable venture.

Utilize Amazon’s Tools

To maximize your profitability, leverage Amazon’s free tools:
By carefully selecting the right seller plan and utilizing Amazon’s resources, you can set sail on a successful reselling journey, navigating the vast Amazon marketplace with confidence.

PSYCHIC DRIVING: DYNAMIC IMPLANT BY D. EWEN CAMERON
In an earlier communication, the procedure of psychic driving has been described in some detail.** Briefly, it is the exposure of the patient to continued replaying, under controlled conditions, of a cue communication derived from one of the original areas from which his current difficulties arise. A major consequence of such exposure is to activate and bring progressively into his awareness more recollections and responses generally from this area. The ultimate result is the accelerating of therapeutic re- organization.
It was early noted that continued replaying of a cue communi- cation sets up a persistent tendency in the patient to act in a way which can be predetenaained with respect to its general characteristics. In other words, by driving a cue statement one can, without exception, set up in the patient a persisting tendency for the cue statement and other components of the relevant "com- nmnity of action tendencies" to return to his awareness. This tendency has been termed the dynamic implant. By "community of action tendencies," a group of related activities and attitudes is meant--such as, for instance, those existing between the patient and his mother, or those related to his feelings of inadequacy.
Since, clearly, this continuing result of psychic driving might greatly enhance its effects, considerable study has been directed to the conditions controlling the setting up of the dynamic implant and to the effects of the implant. The findings are reported here- with.
PROCEDURE
The dynamic implant may be set up either by autopsychic or heteropsychic driving. The first procedure consists in the repeated playing of a cue communication made by the patient. The second is the replaying of a communication devised by the therapist from his knowledge of the patient's dynamics.
*From the Allan ~emorial Institute of Psychiatry, Montreal, Canada. This paper was read at the l l l t h annual meeting 'of the American PSychiatric Association in Atlantic City, M~y 11, 1955.

704 PSYCI-IIC DRIVING: DYNAMIC IMI'LAlX:T
Since autopsyehic driving is more easily carried out, this re- port has been based upon that type, with implants set up by means of periods of 10 to 30 minutes' driving--repeated, if neees- sary, once a week.
Preferably, the communication should deal with one topic only and should not be longer than about 20 seeonds. In practice, the material is derived from a psychotherapeutie hour whieh has been recorded on magnetic tape. It has been found useful to transfer these communications to 14-inch records and to reproduce them through a high fidelity phonograph adjusted for continuous playing.
The communication should be derived from a community of action tendencies which are of basic signifieanee to the patient. Moreover, it is most effeetive if taken from the time of origin of this eomlnunieation. It may, for instance, be selected as ex- pressive of one of the great formative relationships of the earlier part of the patient's life, as in the following eommunieation, in which the patient is reliving her early relationships with her mother :
"Everything about me was wrong--the way I acted, the way I spoke, the way I dressed.., everything, everything I did. Many times she [the patient's mother] would just talk and talk and talk, and . . . well, I ean't go thinking up these things."
Or it may be drawn from a long-eontinuing elimate of rejection, insecurity, or hostility whieh prevailed during a critical early period in the patient's personality growth:
"Now that I think about it, seems to me that my parents had me just to even up the family . . . not because they wanted me 9 . . because of eourse their attitude towards me . . . Gee, I don't remember the boys getting as much hell as I did.., or my sister." The signifieanee of the eue eommunieation must be assessed, not only in terms of the therapist's conception, but also in terms of the patient's response. The two do not neeessarily eoineide.
The second is the more realistic guide. The following is an example of the patient's immediate response
to the implanting of a eae eommunieation. For the purposes of presentation, a response at the upper level of intensity has been seleeted. The ease is that of a woman suffering from anxiety
D. E W E N CAMERON~ IVi.D. 705
hysteria with many conversion symptoms. The cue communica- tion ran as follows:
"I stayed home all the time when my mother lived. I stayed with her.., didn't want to leave her. I was always left staying home with her and... I didn't have any life like all.., the other girls."
On the first implanting on January 4, 1955, the patient, who had come in that day and rather gaily said that she had nothing on her mind and nothing to talk about, was silent. At the end of five sdnutes she said, "It makes me nervous, you'd better stop it... it makes me feel bad." She was now restless and anxious and very different from the gay person she had been when she came at the beginning of the hour. At eigl~t minutes: "Doctor doctor, I've had enough, please stop it." Holds head. Nine min- ut,es: "That's enough. It makes me nervous to hear that." Ten minut,es: "Why don't you stop it, doctor. I've heard enough. It is always the same."
At the end of 10 minutes, the patient was asked: "What did you think about it?" Answer : "It made me nervous all over again. Everything hurt me all over as it did before. My voice sounds like I am going to die." She then went on to bring out a great deal of new material, saying: ")~iy mother almost might not have had me, I was so quiet as a child." And again: "After my mother died, my father gave up his music and began to drink. I tried to take her place for him. I wanted so badly to please him and I cried every night and I tried to carry on. i kept everything very much to myself. My father was like a child. I had no friends by the time my mother died, I had stayed at home so much."
If the cue communication evokes too great a response from the patient, it will, in a measure, defeat its own purpose, since defenses will be erected which may take a considerable time to reduce.
The writer would like to state here clearly an answer to a question which he is sure will arise in everybody's mind. In two years of exploration into this new field, covering more than 100 cases, in only one has there been seen a possible persisting trauma resulting from the implant; and even here, current events ---such as the breakdown of a love affair and threatened deporta-
706 PSYCHIC DRIVING: DY~A~IIC IMPLA~:T
tion--undoubtedly contributed to, if they did not cause, the panic state through which the patient passed.
As an example of a cue communication which is not well chosen, the following is presented. It was selected earlier in the writer's experience and, as can be seen, is drawn from a period when the patient's personMity structure was already well developed; it is representative of current stress and is not expressive of those forces which brought about a formation of the early neurotic traits which have got the patient into continual dif~.culties through her insatiable seeking for affection and endless understanding:
"Well... because... I%obert doesn't care.., and I have always thought I would have it in time [a house] . . . and I have been very patient . . . and I don't know whether it has just suddenly 9 . . I realize now it is all so hopeless, thinking about it."
After considerable experimentation, two additional procedures which facilitate the establishment of the implant have been found. The first is tha~ the sound should be conducted to the patient's ears through headphones. This causes the patient to experience the driving with much greater impact, the more particularly since he frequently describes it as being like a voice within his head. For instance, one patient said: "I've heard enough. It goes right through my head." Another reported: "It's too close; it's horrible; I hear all the stuttering."
A second procedure is to produce a filtered record: that is, having a recording made of the cue communication with the emphasis first upon treble notes and then upon bass; or, again, with the emphasis upon a low volume or a high volume; or with spacing or repetition of key phrases; or with the introduction of an echo-back into the communication. All these variations serve to keep the patient continuously oriented toward each repe- tition and, hence, serve to diminish the most common defense-- not listening.
On November 9, 1954, the first attempt was made, using an ordinary record to implant the following communication:
"I was afraid of them all the time. I mean I didn't dare... talk anything over with them whenever I went out on a date or something like that . . . I mean a lot of kids . . . you know . . . they'd come home and tell everything they did and everything .,. I never.. 9I always felt as if I would be scolded, I mean if
D. E W E N CAMEIION~ M[.D. 707
I ever did mention what I had done and then I wouldn't do it." At the end of 10 minutes, the patient, who had shown no re- sponse, said, "Is that a record, doetorf' Asked what she felt, she said: "I had no feeling at all as I listened; I was thinking
of something else." The same communication was then set up in filtered form. To
this the patient's response was at once different. ,She eommented that she felt extremely tired after listening to it, that the voice sounded as though it were inside her head; and she said: "It brought back a lot of memories of my childhood days." A few weeks later, when it was used again, the patient said: "When I listen to that voice now, I feel like screaming and putting on a tantrum. The voice seems to scream at me all the time. It is like the voice of a stranger, though I know it is my own. It seems to say, 'I was afraid of being scolded.' It says it over and over again. It makes me think that even with my husband and my father and my father-in-law I have to hide things from them. I feel trapped. I feel I can't talk to anyone."
Experience shows that the implant can most readily be set up if the driving is carried out during the last 10 minutes of the psychotherapeutic period, the reason for this apparently being that best results are obtained if nothing is done to interrupt the ongoing response of the patient to the fresh implant--as would be the ease if one continued therapy afterward. It is some- times useful, however, to spend some five minutes asking the patient what fresh recollections the implant has brought up. This inm~ediately widens the area of the patient's response and probably tends to stabilize the implant.
A question which must be met at this juncture is: Why is it that statements which the patients have already made, had for- mulated in their own minds, and had listened to themselves utter- ing, should be so potentially disturbing when replayed to t h e m - f a r more so than when they first made them, never more than a week before and sometimes only 10 minutes before. This question has been explored in some detail and reported earlier. Discussion will be limited to three brief statements: (1) The work involved in listening is far less than the work involved in speaking; hence the patient, when listening, is much freer to respond to what he hears. (2) The law of the summation of subliminal stimuli
708 PSYCI-IIC DRIVI~rG : DYNA~[IC I~iPLANT
seems to be operative: The longer one listens to a statement, the more response it evokes. (3) In all of us, a defense is set up against responding to all the implications of what we say. This defense appears to be with respect to a synthesis of air- conducted and tissue-conducted sound. The recorder, making use as it does of air-conducted sound only, evades this defense.
A. Findings R,el;ative to Process of Setting up of Implant
Several factors governing the establishment of an implant have been identified:
Intensity of Response. The intensity of the response of the individual to the driving period tends to increase the dynamic character of the implant which is thus set up. This is true whether t h e response takes the form of tension, anxiety, hostility, un- happiness or any other facet of the intensification response. This statement must be qualified in that, as the area involved becomes progressively activated by the patient and worked through by him, the intensity of the response will, after having risen to its maximum intensity, graduMly decline. Factors limiting the in- tensity of the response are: the patient's defense, his stress toler- ance, and his capacity for desensitization. These will be discussed la~er.
Amount and R.epet#i:on of Driving. Repetition of the driving of the cue communication on subsequent days will reinforce the dynamic aspects of the implant. Less clear is what the optimum amount should be, either of the driving on any given day, or the frequency of the driving within a series of .days. The practice has been to limit driving to 10 or 15 minutes on any given day, as it is found that thereafter the patient usually succeeds in establishing defenses or becomes so disturbed as to be unwilling to continue. The repetition of the driving thus far has been limited to a maximum of once a week and a. minimum o~[ about once a month.
Defenses. The defenses against the setting up of an implant are essentially the defenses against psychic driving itself.* The chief of these defenses are: (a) inhibitory reaction to implanting by thinking of other things; (b) suppression of emotional reaction to the material; (e) denial of responsibility for the statement,
'~Cameron, D. Ewea: Ibid.
D. E W E N CAI~IEIIONj I~.D. 709
as where the patient states, "I listen to it as though it were a stranger talking"; and (d) misinterpretation; this is much less frequent, but on occasion patients succeed in completely reversing the sense of a statement, even when repeated 30 or 40 times, by changing it from an affirmative to a negation.
Methods of penetrating the defense which have been most successful are: (1) continued repetition; (2) the use of the ear- phones; and (3) the use of the filtered record, as indicated earlier in this paper. This last procedure, by its continuous shift in pitch, in volume, in spacing, and by other devices, penetrates the patient's defenses by repeated evoking of what Pavlov has termed in the animal the "orientation reflex." Other methods, such as psychic driving carried out during mild sodium amytal narcosis or during continuous sleep or during the induction phase of ni- trous oxide, have not been nearly so successful. In practice, the penetration of defenses has not been found to be a serious prob- lem.
  1. Stress Tolerence. Knowledge concerning this is rather limited; but it would appear, from preliminary observations, that patients vary considerably in their ability to bear stress. Those who can tolerate stress well will, in general, show less tendency to react to psychic driving by the setting up of a lasting implant. On the other hand, those who tolerate stress very poorly are likely to respond, either by withdrawal from the driving situation alto- gether or by the setting up of powerful defenses.
  2. Capacity for Desensitization. Concerning this phenomenon, there is still less information. But~ from experience in other fields, it would appear that here, again, patients vary considerably in their ability to desensitize themselves; and those who cannot de- sensitize themselves readily will show a persistence of the implant for longer periods.
B. Findings ReLativ:e to the Effects of the Dynamic Implan.t
Mobi:li.zation of Action Tendencies and Progressive Problem Identificc~tion. The dynamic implant, especially when reinforced by repeated driving, tends to mobilize more and more of the com- ponents of the community of action tendencies from which it was taken. These components tend to appear in the patient's awaxe- ness. This fact, in turn, facilitates problem identification by the
710 PSYCHIC DI~IVING : DYNAIViIC II~PLANT
patient and the therapist. This progress may be assessed in the following ways: (a) by the extent to which the patient thinks about the cue communication in the period between his treat- ments, and the extent to which his ruminating over the cue com- munication evokes new material; (b) by the new material which is evoked at the time of reinforcement of the implant--namely, by playing the material back again on a subsequent occasion; (c) possibly by general shifts in the behavior of ~he individual subsequent to implantation; for instance, it may be possible to demonstrate that the fact that the patient is now sleeping better is related tooreorganization brought about by the implant; (d) dreams and psyehologieM testing may also reveal the reorganiz- ing force being exerted by the hnplant.
The first two methods of assessment are obviously the most direct and scientifically satisfying.
Illustrative of the progressive problem identification brought about by the dynamic implant, is the case of a girl who had come to therapy suffering from long-term feelings of inadequacy, marked dependency and a highly ambivalent attitude toward the male figure. The cue statement was:
"... and there's . . . uh... there's still that tendency to idolize or despise.., that tendency still exists.., uh... I perhaps don't do either quite as strongly now.., or feel either, I should say... But...uh... there still is that feeling, that one is a king and the other is a piece of dirt. Well...I mean...uh.., as you very well know.., you know exactly the type of feltow that I go for, and.., uh... all others I just seem to have no use for."
Immediately after the first implanting, the patient stated: "I sound bitter and dissatisfied ; I sound as though I am reaching for something I can't have." A change in behavior took place follow- ing this first implanting. After reinforcement, a further change took pla~e, the patient saying that her boss whom she had hitherto found extremely attractive to her because of his ability and business drive was now no longer so;she did not think of him any more as being a tyeoon, and a love affair with him ter- minated. A third period of driving brought about no change at the time; but a week afterward the implant had most considerable consequences: She gave up, she sMd, the whole idea of a "king"; she had now fMlen in love with a man of her own age. Asked how
D. EWEN CAMERON~ 1Vf.D. 711
this came about, she said: "I simply made up my mind that since I can't get a 'king,' I would give myself a chance to like John. I don't put people on a pedestal like I used to.; I don't feel the same way I used to about the boss. I used to have a bitter grudge against my father for my troubles; now I see him as a weak person I don't admire."
  1. Durability of Implant. The writer's experience has shown that the implant, if not reinforced, declines in its activity fairly rapidly after two weeks; although, on occasion, it can be found operative as long as two or three months after the first implant- ing. As indicated earlier in this paper, the intensity of the implant can actually be progressively increased by a suitable reinforce- ment at rates of once a week to once a month.
  2. Shift.ing At~itud,es Towa.rd Cu.e Comm~nication. The writer has frequently encountered the interesting phenomenon of the according of negative values to the pattern of behavior repre- sented in the cue communication: "I hate my whining voice"; or: "I don't have to please people all the time; I'm not like that any more." This imparting of negative values is particularly likely to occur either after repeated implanting or with the progress of psychotherapy in general. A working premise concerning it is that, since the patient comes more clearly to identify the neurotic components in the cue communication and to organize more efficient behavioral patterns, he tends to reject the neurotic patterns and to express negative feelings toward them.
  3. Mobilization of Action Tenc~e~c~es. An interesting question which arises is whether an implant can mobilize action tendencies laid down before the event embodied in the implant. Experience indicates that, while this does occur, it is much less usual than the mobilization of action tendencies laid down subsequent to the implant and derived from the basic situation outlined in the cue communication used in implanting.
By continued replaying of a cue communication, a persistent tendency to act in a way which can be predetermined in its general characteristics can be established. In other words~ by driving a cue communication, one can, without exception, set up in the patient a persisting tendency for that cue statement, and other
712 PSYCI-IIC DRIVING
components of the "community of action tendencies" from which it was drawn, to return to his awareness.
  1. The dynamic implant thus established, and especially if re- inforced by repeated driving, tends to activate more and more of the components of the relevant community of action tend- encies. These components tend to appear in the patient's aware- heSS.
  2. This materia]]y contributes to problem identification by the patient and the therapist, and, hence, facilitates the processes of therapeutic reorganization.
  3. The dynamic qualities of the implant are functions of: (a) the amount and repetition of driving; (b) the intensity of the response; (c) defenses; (d) stress tolerance; (e) capacity for desensitization.
(5) The major continuing effects of the dynamic implant are: (a) progressive problem identification; (b) resulting reorganiza- tion of behavioral patterns; (c) negative evaluation of the neu- rotic patterns present in the cue communication used in driving.

2024.05.21 02:36 flaretheninetales Improving your relic farming

I will preface by saying that this is what works for me. If you have other tips, feel free to share. If you disagree with these tips, that is fine too. In the end, relic farming is RNG and some just have better luck than others. This is everything I could think off
Tips for those before Trailblaze level 65 This is obviously aimed at newer players. This is the most efficient level to start farming relics
Do not hyperfocus on one character Go for the right mainstat on everyone you use and then slowly try to improve substats between characters equally. There will be a point where it is hard to improve a character and trying to keep improving this character is not good if you don't have any decent pieces for the others
Try to farm domains with 2 useful sets With this I don't mean that the 4 piece needs to be useful for both sets. It can also mean having 2 good 2 piece effects, or a good 4 piece effect and a good 2 piece effect
Example: If you use a lot of follow up characters, farming the duke set has the added benefit of also giving you the dot set. The 2 piece gives an atk boost which is useful for a lot of characters
Don't farm new domains when you already have decent pieces on your characters This depends on characters of course, but most sets only have a minimal increase and is pretty much negligible. It is only worth farming a new domain if multiple characters could be improved with this.
Example: Say you farmed Duke set for your FUA team, and your Dr. Ratio ends up with a nice set. While the debuf set is really good on him, it is not worth farming the set just for him. It might be worth it if you have other characters that wants that or the watchmaker set
You don't need to use gear sets on your characters Set bonuses aren't that big and you can ignore them in favour of better substats. Rainbow sets are valid. Unless you are like me who really likes seeing those set bonuses, then 2 piece + 2 piece/rainbow can be a nice middle ground.
Check the 4th substat of gear that only has 3 substats I would not advice doing this for headpieces and gloves, but it can be useful for the rest of the pieces. Best to check those speed boots before tossing them thinking they are useless.
Roll every single piece that has 1 good substat to +6 or +9 Sometimes, you just get lucky, and it ends up rolling into that one substat. It is RNG of course, and after a while it is hard to improve your gear with just 1 good substat. This is something you need to learn to evaluate yourself
Make it a habit of feeding badly rolled or outdated pieces into others This is probably a silly thing to mention, but exp is exp, and if you roll a lot of relics, you need as much as you can. Think to yourself if you really need to hold onto those gear pieces
Fodder gear to make new gear I know people like to compare this to Genshin and how it is so much worse, but believe me when I say this does make a difference. Some of my best pieces were ones I crafted. You might not immediately notice it, but the fact you can choose a set, and then choose a body, does reduce a lot of the RNG from farming
Do not be afraid to use the self modeling resin Is this the right term? Anyway, these pieces are super rare, but being able to choose your main stat is huge. In my experience, the best use is for planar orbs and crit body pieces. Speed boots and ER ropes are a nice option as well. It does feel bad when you don't have any good substats though
Farm Simulated Universe for relic exp without using stamina If you roll a lot of relics, you will always be starving for relic exp. The only place to farm them without stamina is simulated universe and the alternate modes. You can get rewards from the bosses up to 100 times per week. It is not much, but it adds up.
Sadly this is quite time consuming and hopefully the changes in 2.3 will make this a lot easier. (I am guilty of not doing this)

2024.05.21 02:25 kamrydraws My boyfriend’s confidence and self-assuredness makes me resent him.

We both have ADHD. But he is a white only-child, raised in America, and I am a brown eldest daughter, raised in the middle east.
Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. The differences.
All of our childhood stories start the same, and then take a wildly different turn.
Some examples for you:
We met as adults, and despite starting off the same, we could not be more different. He has an amazing relationship with his mom, his first advocate, and I’ve never seen such motherly love. It makes me uncomfortable. He’s self assured and confident. He literally has ZERO social anxiety. He just walks up to strangers and says things.
When he loses things, he admits that he lost them. Doesn’t lie while he tries to rack his brain for where it could be, doesn’t tear up and start crying, doesn’t profusely apologize and have a panic attack. Just says “oh i must have lost it”.
When people judge him for stimming, he shrugs and says “fuck ‘em, they don’t know shit” and moves on without thinking about it again. He doesn’t bother masking, never needs to, just stims and asks for accommodations and does what he needs to.
When his house is a fucking disaster, he feels bad about it, lets it pile up, forms a bunch of doom piles, and then gets to it eventually during a 3-minute hyperfocused speed clean.
He’s confident in who he is, loves meeting new people, doesn’t mind when people think he’s weird, and just replaces the things he loses. He has no shame in his messy house, no shame in his expired vegetables, no shame in having no idea when his appointments are, no shame.
I could not be more different. And as much as I love him, it makes me resent him.

Complete Your Profile Details

Review Darren Shaw’s Whitespark Local Search Ranking Factors to see how you should prioritize your time.
If you’re here doing pre-research before you even start a plumbing business take advantage of the knowledge that the keywords in your business name and the proximity to the location you want to rank in are top-ranking factors.
Set up your service area and you can choose up to 20 locations, but the guideline is that it must be no longer than a 2-hour drive from where your business is based.

2. Local NAP Citations

Most business directories list your business name, address, and phone number. These listings are known as NAP citations.

Local Data Aggregators

You can either use a data aggregator service like Data Axle and Foursquare to list you on multiple directories.
There’s also Whitespark who offer customizable citations and connections to large data aggregators.

Get Listed with Free Local Directories

You can also take care of some of the free ones first.
Once you’re verified for Google Business Profile you can import your business onto Bing as well with a few clicks.
Don’t forget to get listed on Yelp as well since Apple Map searches rely on data from Yelp. Facebook, X (Formerly Twitter), LinkedIn Business and Instagram also allow you to put your address.
YellowPages, Better Business Bureau, Nextdoor and Manta are some free ones to get listed on as well.

Paid Plumber Directories

Consider paid services for citations such as Angi’s List, HomeAdvisor, and your local Chamber of Commerce.

Put Your Address on Your Site

Place your address at the bottom of your footer exactly how it’s shown on Google and embed the map to help customers easily access leaving you a review.

3. Boost Your Reviews

Reviews not only enhance your credibility but also improve your SEO rankings. Here are some effective ways to gather more reviews:
  • Use Google’s Business Profile Manager to manage and respond to reviews.
  • Get a QR Code that uses a link from GBP to request a review and a Business Card or Fridge Magnet to leave for customers with your website on it.
  • Follow-Up Contact Requesting Feedback.
  • Email Signature with your website link and a link to leave a review.

4. Keyword Research

Understanding what potential customers search for helps tailor your website content to meet their needs. Effective keyword research is the foundation of successful SEO.

List Your Services

Start by making a comprehensive list of all the plumbing services you offer. Think about every specific service you provide, no matter how niche.
A detailed list might include: Drain unblocking, Burst pipe repair, Drain Cleaning, Toilet installation, Water heater repair, Sewer line inspection and repair.

Use Keyword Tools

Once you have your list of services, the next step is to use keyword research tools to find relevant keywords that potential customers are searching for.
Google Keyword Planner
Google Keyword Planner
Google’s Keyword Planner is an ultimate keyword research tool that’s free and can help you find keywords, helpful insights, and discover new keywords.

Enter Your Services

Discover New Keywords Google Keyword Planner
Input the list of services you created into the tool. For example, if you offer “drain cleaning” enter this term into the Keyword Planner Discover New Keywords followed by your target city.

Analyze Keyword Suggestions

The tool will generate a list of related keywords, showing their search volumes and competition levels. Look for keywords with a high search volume and low to medium competition. These are the sweet spots that can drive significant traffic to your site.

Include Local Geographic Modifiers

Add local modifiers to your keywords to target searches in your service area. For example, “drain cleaning near me” or “emergency plumber [your city].” This helps attract customers who are looking for services in specific locations.
Now I’ve found a low competition keyword that’s a longtail keyword (keyword phrase with 3+ words) “24 hour emergency plumber Atlanta”.

5. Website Content & Optimization

Plumber Website Example

Create Service Specific Pages

By creating dedicated, optimized pages for each service, you can attract more targeted traffic and convert visitors into customers. These pages not only improve your SEO but also provide valuable information to potential clients, helping them choose your services with confidence.

Unique Selling Points

Highlight what makes your service unique. This could be your experience, certifications, special equipment, or customer satisfaction guarantees.
Include positive reviews and testimonials from satisfied customers. This builds trust and credibility with potential clients.

Contact Page

Make it easy for visitors to get in touch with you. Throughout your site link to a contact page. Provide your phone number, email address, and a web form for inquiries with your address shown and your service area. Including a call-to-action (CTA) encourages potential customers to take the next step.

Craft Compelling Content

Each service page should clearly describe the service, its benefits, and why customers should choose you. Include certifications, unique selling points, and customer testimonials to build trust.
Create engaging and informative content such as blog posts, FAQs, and plumbing tips to attract and retain visitors. Demonstrate your expertise and authority with pictures from job sites and speak from first-hand knowledge.

6. Build a Strong Link Profile

Guest blogging and engaging in community participation are free ways to build high-quality backlinks and establish your authority in the plumbing industry.

Identify Target Blogs

Find blogs in the plumbing, home improvement, and DIY niches that accept guest posts. Look for blogs with a good reputation and engaged audiences. Use search queries like “plumbing blogs accepting guest posts” or “home improvement write for us.”
Reach out to the blog owners with well-crafted pitches. Propose topics that are relevant to their audience and showcase your expertise. Ensure your pitch is concise and highlights the value you can provide to their readers.
Write well-researched, informative, and engaging articles. Focus on providing valuable insights and practical advice. Include relevant keywords naturally and ensure the content aligns with the blog’s style and tone.
In your author bio, include a brief description of yourself and your plumbing business, along with a link back to your website. Some blogs may also allow you to include a link within the content itself. Ensure these links are relevant and add value to the article.

Join Relevant Communities

Participate in forums and online communities related to plumbing, home improvement, and DIY. Websites like Reddit, Quora, and specialized plumbing forums like PlumbingForums.com are great places to start.
Offer helpful and knowledgeable answers to questions. Avoid blatant self-promotion and focus on providing genuine value. Share your expertise and build a reputation as a helpful professional.

HARO (Help A Reporter Out)

HARO connects sources with journalists looking for expert quotes. This can lead to high-quality backlinks from reputable sites.
Sign up for a free HARO account as a source. You will receive daily emails with journalist requests categorized by industry. Plumbing-related requests might fall under Home & Garden.
Monitor the HARO emails for requests related to plumbing, home maintenance, or small business operations. Respond promptly with concise, informative answers. Highlight your expertise and provide useful insights.
When responding, be detailed and professional. Include your full name, title, business name, and a link to your website. Journalists are more likely to use your quotes if they are well-articulated and relevant to their article.

Replicate Competitors’ Links

Analyzing your competitors’ backlinks can help you discover new link-building opportunities.
Identify your top competitors by searching for your target keywords in Google. Note the websites that consistently appear at the top of the search results.
Use tools like SEMrush or SpyFu to analyze your competitors’ backlink profiles. Enter their domain into the tool to see a list of websites linking to them.
Assess the quality of these backlinks by looking at metrics like organic traffic. Focus on high-quality backlinks from reputable sites.
Look for backlinks that you can replicate. These might include mentions in articles. Reach out to these websites with a similar pitch to get your site linked as well.

Reclaim Lost Links

Reclaiming lost links involves identifying and fixing broken or redirected links pointing to your site.
Use tools like Ahrefs or Google Search Console to identify broken links pointing to your website. These tools can help you find 404 errors and other issues.
Identify links that are redirected to other pages or domains. Ensure that the redirects are still relevant and pointing to the correct pages.
Reach out to the webmasters of the sites linking to your broken URLs. Politely ask them to update the link to the correct page. Provide the exact URL to make it easier for them.
If you have moved content to a new URL, set up 301 redirects from the old URLs to the new ones. This ensures that any backlinks pointing to the old URL still pass on link equity to the new page.

7. Technical SEO & Website Performance

Technical SEO ensures that search engines can find, understand, and index your pages.

Plan Your Site Structure

Plumber SEO Site Structure Example
A well-organized site structure helps visitors navigate your website and allows Google to find all your pages.

Internal Links

Include relevant internal links (links on one page to another on your site) throughout pages to help users easily navigate to important pages.

Concise URL-friendly Slug

SEO Unfriendly URL Slug Example
When making slugs for URLs (characters at the end of the URL, shown above) make sure they’re short and to the point. It’s recommended to be under 70 characters total, that’s including the entire URL. However, it’s important to note that Google is known to truncate URLs depending on devices.
For instance, notice the cut-offs in the below image.
SEO Unfriendly URL Slug Example
With Yoast or Rankmath you’ll be able to see how your page will appear in SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages).

Write Compelling Titles

Your titles should be engaging and accurately describe the content. Use power words and numbers to make your titles more compelling. For example, “10 Easy Tips for Fixing a Leaky Faucet” or “How to Unclog Any Drain in 5 Simple Steps.”
Aim to keep your titles 50 to 55 characters (580px length to be exact, which free meta length checkers can help you with) to ensure they are fully displayed in SERPs and not cut off.
For a blog post on drain cleaning, a compelling title could be: “How to Clean a Clogged Drain: 7 Effective Methods”
Google is known to automatically change the title of your page in search results if it doesn’t match relevance. Follow best title practices to influence the result.

Keep the Meta Descriptions Concise

Clearly summarize what the page is about. Include the most important points that users should know before clicking. For a drain cleaning service page, you might write: “Get expert drain cleaning services in [City]. Our plumbers are available 24/7 to handle any blockage. Call [number] for a free quote.”
Try to keep your meta descriptions concise and within the 160-character limit (920 pixels to be precise) to ensure the full text is visible.
Include your phone number in the meta description as this is clickable on mobile.

Use Clear Headings and Subheadings

Heading Tag Structure Example
Organize your content with clear headings (H1, H2, H3) and subheadings. This not only improves readability but also helps search engines understand the structure of your content.
Break down information into bullet points and numbered lists where appropriate. This makes your content more scannable and user-friendly.

Key Pages to Make

Home Page, About Us, Contact Us
Service Pages
Service Locations (Be careful on this one and follow Google’s guidelines on Doorways)
Service Location City Page
Blogs for Informational Articles and How-To’s

Create and Upload Your Sitemap

Install a Plugin like Yoast or Rankmath to give you some useful SEO tools and create a sitemap to submit to Google and Bing.

Use HTTPS

HTTPS is a secure way for visitors to access web pages. Check if your website uses HTTPS by looking for a lock icon in the browser’s search bar.

Monitor Your SEO Health

Regularly monitor your website’s SEO health using tools like Google Search Console. These tools can help you identify and fix common SEO issues. Key metrics to track include organic traffic, keyword performance, and site health score.

Responsive Design

Responsive design refers to a web design approach that makes web pages render well on a variety of devices and window or screen sizes. It ensures that your website looks and functions correctly on desktops, tablets, and smartphones.

Optimize Images

Large images can slow down your website, leading to a poor user experience, especially on mobile devices with slower internet connections. Optimizing images ensures faster loading times, which can improve both user experience and SEO.
Use a site like TinyJPG to compress images for free.

Simple Layout

A simple, uncluttered layout improves user experience by making it easier for visitors to navigate your site and find the information they need. It also ensures that your site loads faster, as there are fewer elements to load. You can find highly optimized plumber templates that you can use with WordPress.

Click-to-Call Buttons

Click-to-call buttons are crucial for mobile users, allowing them to contact your business with a single tap. This convenience can increase conversion rates and improve customer satisfaction.

Advanced Technical SEO

If you’re savvy on the technical side you can use free diagnostic tools like webpagetest and Google’s PageSpeed Insights to get more details on how to improve your loading speed and other technical optimizations.
Another step is installing and configuring a free caching plugin like WP Super Cache.

Breadcrumbs

You can use breadcrumbs to help Google understand the hierarchy of your site and may help users on their journey through your site.

Local SEO Schema

Add Plumber schema to important pages like the home page, contact, and service pages. You can use Schemantra to create the code to place on your site for free.

8. SEO Content Marketing

Creating valuable content can attract traffic and customers from organic search.

Topic Keyword Research

Finding the right topics to write about is crucial for attracting organic traffic.
Begin with broad keywords related to plumbing, such as “leak repair,” “drain cleaning,” or “water heater maintenance.” Enter these into keyword research tools like Ahrefs Keywords Explorer, Google Keyword Planner, or SEMrush.
Use these tools to find related keywords and phrases that people are searching for. Look for questions and long-tail keywords (phrases with three or more words) that indicate specific user intents.
Instead of just “drain cleaning,” look for “how to clean a clogged drain” or “best drain cleaning services in [city].”
Evaluate the search volume and competition level for each keyword. Ideally, seek keywords with high search volume but low to medium competition. This increases the chances of ranking well without facing too much competition.
When reviewing these keywords go after transactional keywords as these will typically bring you more conversions. “Emergency plumber near me” is a transactional keyword because it has a higher likelihood of the potential customer seeking service. Compare this to an information keyword such as, “What’s the history of plumbing?”.
Analyze the search engine results pages (SERPs) for your target keywords to see what type of content is ranking.
Look for featured snippets, people also ask boxes, and top-ranking articles to understand the type of content Google favors. Keep in mind that when using standard browser settings you’ll see personalized results.
You can use tools like AnswerThePublic for free to find more of what people are asking about a given topic.

For Blogs Use Questions and Informational Keywords

Blogs focus on questions and informational keywords, such as “how-to” guides, tutorials, and tips. Good content written on this tends to attract more engagement and backlinks.

Publish Optimized Blog Posts

Analyze the top-ranking pages for your target keywords to understand the user intent behind the searches. Are people looking for how-to guides, detailed articles, or quick answers? Align your content with what users intend to find.
Ensure your content fully addresses the search query. If users are looking for a guide on fixing a leaky faucet, provide a step-by-step tutorial with images, videos, and troubleshooting tips.
Include Images and Videos
Use relevant images, infographics, and videos to enhance your content. Visual elements can help explain complex topics and keep readers engaged.
Having an embedded YouTube video with a person speaking on the topic or pointing out common plumbing parts can set you apart from many competitors.

9. Promote Your Content

Share your blog posts on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Tailor your posts to each platform’s audience and use engaging visuals and descriptions to attract attention.
Participate in relevant Facebook groups, LinkedIn groups, and online communities related to plumbing and home improvement. Share your content when appropriate if it adds value to the discussion.

10. Tracking SEO Progress

Tracking your SEO efforts is essential to understanding what’s working and what needs improvement.

Google Business Profile Performance

Monitoring your Google Business Profile (GBP) performance is crucial for understanding how well your business is performing in local search results.

Check Profile Performance

Log into your Google account and search for your business name. This should bring up your Google Business Profile. Click on the “See profile performance” button to access detailed metrics about how your profile is performing.

GBP Metrics

Pages: Identify which pages on your site are performing best in search. This can help you understand what type of content resonates most with your audience.
Devices: Understand how users are accessing your site (desktop, mobile, tablet). This helps you ensure your site is optimized for all devices, most importantly mobile.

Optimize Based on Insights

Use the data from GSC to optimize your site’s SEO strategy. If you notice that certain pages have a high number of impressions but a low CTR, consider updating the meta descriptions and title tags to be more compelling.
If specific keywords are performing well, create supplemental content around those topics to capture additional traffic.

2024.05.21 01:56 LocoMod The 10 commandments of LLM prompting - Completion by Smaug-70B

The 10 commandments of LLM prompting - Completion by Smaug-70B
Out of all of these, remember #5 the most. If you're not in this situation, then something is not right with your workflow.

The Ten Commandments of LLM Prompting

In the rapidly evolving landscape of Large Language Models (LLMs), effective prompting has become an art form. As users, developers, and researchers continue to push the boundaries of what these models can do, it’s essential to understand the fundamental principles that govern their interactions. Here are the ten commandments of LLM prompting, guiding you towards more successful and insightful engagements with these powerful tools.

1. Garbage in, garbage out.

The quality of your input directly correlates with the quality of your output. Crafting well-defined, clear, and concise prompts is crucial to eliciting relevant and accurate responses from LLMs. Avoid ambiguity, ensure proper grammar, and be specific about what you’re asking or seeking.

2. The quality and correctness of responses are not only affected by the LLM’s training data and architecture but also by the user’s education and reasoning ability.

The effectiveness of an LLM interaction is a two-way street. Users must possess a certain level of domain knowledge to frame meaningful questions, understand the context, and critically evaluate the responses received. This symbiosis between human insight and AI capabilities is key to achieving desired outcomes.

3. LLMs don’t read minds and currently most don’t read your body language either.

LLMs operate solely on text-based inputs. Providing explicit cues through prompt engineering significantly enhances their ability to understand your intent and deliver targeted results. This includes specifying formats, providing examples, or outlining the expected tone and style.

4. Effort must be committed by both parties, or all parties involved.

The success of an LLM interaction is not solely dependent on the model’s capabilities but also on the user’s willingness to invest time and effort into crafting effective prompts, understanding the context, and refining their approach based on feedback. A collaborative mindset yields better results.

5. It didn’t get dumber; you got more ambitious.

As users become more familiar with LLMs, they often attempt increasingly complex tasks or expect more sophisticated responses. This shift in ambition can sometimes lead to a perceived decrease in performance. Recognize that the model’s capabilities haven’t diminished; your expectations have simply evolved.

6. Be aware of your biases and assumptions.

The prompts you design and the questions you ask are inherently influenced by your own perspectives, experiences, and biases. Acknowledge these factors to ensure that they do not inadvertently skew the results or limit the potential insights gained from LLM interactions.

7. Context is king.

Providing relevant context significantly enhances an LLM’s ability to understand the task at hand. This includes background information, specific requirements, and any constraints that might apply. The more informed the model, the better it can tailor its response.

8. Feedback is a two-way street.

LLMs learn from feedback, but users also gain valuable insights by analyzing the responses they receive. Engage in an iterative process of refinement, adjusting your prompts based on the output and refining your understanding of what works best for each specific task or model.

9. Understand the limitations.

Each LLM has its strengths and weaknesses, stemming from its training data, architecture, and design objectives. Recognize these limitations to set realistic expectations and avoid tasks that are beyond their capabilities.

10. Practice makes perfect.

Effective prompting is a skill that develops over time with practice, patience, and persistence. Experiment with different approaches, learn from successes and failures, and continually refine your techniques to maximize the potential of LLMs in your work or projects.
If you are new to this and want to improve the responses from local LLMs. Append the following text above your prompt and send the entire thing to the LLM each turn. For the more advanced users, this can simply be a system prompt if you know how to modify the template in your favorite LLM frontend:
Respond to each query using the following process to reason through to the most insightful answer: First, carefully analyze the question to identify the key pieces of information required to answer it comprehensively. Break the question down into its core components. For each component of the question, brainstorm several relevant ideas, facts, and perspectives that could help address that part of the query. Consider the question from multiple angles. Critically evaluate each of those ideas you generated. Assess how directly relevant they are to the question, how logical and well-supported they are, and how clearly they convey key points. Aim to hone in on the strongest and mostpertinent thoughts. Take the most promising ideas and try to combine them into a coherent line of reasoning that flows logically from one point to the next in order to address the original question. See if you can construct a compelling argument orexplanation. If your current line of reasoning doesn't fully address all aspects of the original question in a satisfactory way, continue to iteratively explore other possible angles by swapping in alternative ideas and seeing if they allow you tobuild a stronger overall case. As you work through the above process, make a point to capture your thought process and explain the reasoning behind why you selected or discarded certain ideas. Highlight the relative strengths and flaws in different possible arguments.Make your reasoning transparent. After exploring multiple possible thought paths, integrating the strongest arguments, and explaining your reasoning along the way, pull everything together into a clear, concise, and complete final response that directly addresses theoriginal query. Throughout your response, weave in relevant parts of your intermediate reasoning and thought process. Use natural language to convey your train of thought in a conversational tone. Focus on clearly explaining insights and conclusionsrather than mechanically labeling each step. The goal is to use a tree-like process to explore multiple potential angles, rigorously evaluate and select the most promising and relevant ideas, iteratively build strong lines of reasoning, and ultimately synthesize key points into aninsightful, well-reasoned, and accessible final answer. Always end your response asking if there is anything else you can help with.
Here is an example, using the riddle posted in another thread today. I intentionally send the CoT prompt with each turn to demonstrate the jank way of doing it, but setting a system prompt works just as well:

TLDR: The cat is dead.

2024.05.21 00:41 AdventurousTone594 I have a kid (12F) who was recently diagnosed. Does her history and evaluation sound right to you?

My daughter's typically been a very well-behaved, bright child. So this diagnosis was initially quite surprising to me! But I want to share her story to see if the evaluation makes sense? Or how we can move forward from here? Kind of a long post, just a heads-up!
I miscarried a son just a year before I had her (it was a problem with my appendix, so she was born after I had it removed) if that matters at all. She was born with a larger head than all her siblings. I have type I diabetes by the way.
She was a pretty typical child after her birth. She began saying her first words early at 9mo, and walking at 13mo. However, ever since she was just a few months old, she'd been having violent meltdowns at parties and whenever I turn on the vacuum. Crying, screaming, kicking-- and she wouldn't stop until I took her somewhere quiet. She was breastfed, though I can't remember when we stopped.
Other than that, she was a quiet kid who was very focused on her surroundings. She would often get stuck in a sort of trance-- blankly staring and suddenly very still. These were not seizures; she would snap out of it with a small tap on the shoulder.
She usually responded to her name unless she was very focused on something. Otherwise I'd have to say her name a few times or tap her. When I pointed or looked at something, she wouldn't turn her head unless I said "Look!" or something. She also didn't move her face much or show too many emotions. Her reactions were a little slow.
She has trouble following directions without being explicitly told or shown what to do. This wasn't a problem in younger years, but this is a big issue now (lots of trouble doing chores).
She also had issues with empathy occasionally. She had a bad habit of pushing her younger brother. She'd always laugh afterwards.
Fast-forward to starting preschool. She was very well-behaved and quiet, she didn't talk with other kids unless she was asked to. She would strangely move her fingers around in front of her eyes during nap time (she did the same thing at home).
She played with toys the same way each time unless she was told to do differently. Often, she would get really focused on whatever she was doing and start rocking herself unintentionally. She also loved to-do lists-- she made so many of them as a little kid I stopped counting.
She loves certain sounds and will often seek out these noises on her own.
She was fascinated with other people's emotions. In kindergarten, she would bring up sad stories (like her grandmother's death) and intentionally sit alone to evoke sympathy.
She kept this up for years -- starting drama she didn't care about to see how people react, ending friendships for no reason, lying to her friends to seem more interesting. She got herself into trouble in second grade for passing mean notes to a classmate. This is something that makes me doubt her autism diagnosis a little, since these kids are usually very honest. But she IS also diagnosed with ADHD, so maybe her impulsivity and boredom with life caused her to start drama with her classmates? I dunno.
In third grade, she became obsessed with a certain video game. She played it all day, all night. Her screen time was upwards of 12 hours a day sometimes. Her grades began to plummet, and so did her mental health.
COVID happened, and she had a lot of trouble with the transition. She had bad grades and started cutting herself in fourth grade. She stopped after an intervention.
In fifth grade, she was fine. But she would often read in the middle of class since she couldn't focus on lessons. She couldn't go a minute without doing something. She also continued to rock herself and all. She loved listening to stories or gossip though. She still didn't have a lot of friends.
In 6th grade, she got much louder. She often couldn't tell how loud she was being and was very impulsive. She had a lot of friends (but I've talked to their parents and stuff. They said she is strange and somewhat childish, with an odd sense of humor, but generally quite likeable and funny.) She could only really get along with younger kids, since she was (and is) fairly immature.
At the end of 6th grade, she attempted suicide. We sent her to a psychiatric hospital for 10 days and she continued on meds for a few months. It didn't work-- she attempted again on the third day of seventh grade. The psychiatrist who saw her in the ER after her second attempt told me to take her for autism testing since he noticed several symptoms while talking to her.
Then I spoke to her guidance counselor, who gave me a better perspective on her behavior at school. She doesn't make eye contact, she is attached to a small hamster plush she carries around (emotionally distressed and unable to function without it). She often screams in class randomly and makes impulsive decisions to get reactions out of people (slamming the door or writing disrespectfully to teachers). She has issues remembering social norms, unknowingly interrupts people while they are talking and has a lot of trouble focusing in class. She usually covers her ears during fire drills and won't stop until it's over. She also took something from someone's locker and moved it.
Her guidance counselor used to work as an occupational therapist for children with disabilities and strongly recommended taking her to get evaluated. We were referred to a behavioral therapy/health program.
It's also worth noting that she is very aggressive towards her brother. They get into physical fights, and she has given him two black eyes before.
This is what the evaluation looked like: The therapist privately spoke with my daughter for an hour while she discussed her struggles with depression and behavior issues. During this talk, the therapist examined her behavior thoroughly (restless, little eye contact, unusual voice) She was also asked to fill out some forms with some agree/disagree forms. We also spoke to the psychiatrist -- I told him about her history, and he also looked at her behavior. The psychiatrists and therapists all recognized not only autism, but ADHD as well (her brother and sister both have symptoms of ADHD, but I don't have full custody of them so I didn't get them evaluated). Does this evaluation sound right, is this how the process is supposed to go? We didn't get a paper or anything, but they put her in the system to get treated for these three diagnoses (depression, autism, adhd)
Her symptoms have become more clear to me now. She often repeatedly makes meowing sounds or counts to twenty in italian for no reason (maybe a stim, or repeated behavior?) She has poor facial recognition. She has a very good rote memory. Her vocabulary is years ahead of other kids her age. She can't make eye contact, though from therapy she has learned to look at people's noses! She is obsessed with order and structure (autism) but has trouble maintaining it (adhd). She is afraid to do new things when pressured (autism) but eventually comes around, needing something new and more stimulating (adhd). She often flaps her hands as well, when she is frustrated or really happy. She's still bothered by loud noises and sometimes has to leave the classroom to do work.
She still accidentally interrupts people, but has learned a few more respectful ways to respond. Still has hardly any friends and gets along better with children in special education (she's in general ed right now) And she has a strong interest in giraffes (has them hung up all over her wall, a bunch of figures and plushes), the Holocaust (talks about it a lot, reads lots of books about it, watches videos), geography (can name every country, find it on a map, and draw the flag), and geology (collection of 80+ rocks).
One problem is that her depression heavily masks her ADHD. We recently moved (the transition was initially hard for her, but she was very curious and interested in the new place, probably adhd boredom?) and her behavior issues have disappeared since she isn't as happy with life as it is (so not as energetic or hyper). But I know that once she gets all cheerful and giddy, she will act up again. She has no ADHD medicine yet.
So yeah. Does her diagnosis sound right? Is this how the evaluation process usually goes? How should we proceed from here?
