So I’m on day 3, and I’ve noticed a significant difference in my stuffy nose level. I started noticing I had a consistent (mild) stuffy nose liek permanently about 5 years ago. (4 years into drinking heavy). Is this a side effect I didn’t know about?!

I just started Spironolactone 50mg daily for PCOS to help lower my hormones. We started me at 50mg cause I was a little worried about blood pressure and are planning to slowly up it as tolerated. (1 week in and so far no side effects!)
My question is (understanding this may vary some with the person) at what dosage did you find that it actually started lowering your elevated hormones? We're planning for more bloodwork in 3 months, but with me starting at a lower dose than usual I'm not sure we will be able to see much of a difference yet?
I'm just trying to get a rough idea of a potential timeline as my doctor just told me it could vary greatly and we will just have to wait and see.

I had a hysteroscopy last week for RPOC and I’ve been having panic attacks ever since. Like, textbook panic attacks: my heart starts pounding, I get lightheaded, feel a tightening in my chest and I think I am either going to faint or die or my heart is going to stop.
For the hysteroscopy, the anesthesiologist mentioned he was not putting me under GA but rather some sort of heavy sedation (with the same effect though - I was out). I wonder if it’s a side effect from that? Did anyone experience anything similar? Any advice to cope with this?
Honestly could also be from this whole traumatic experience with MMC, I don’t think I will ever be able to make a trip to the doctor or have an ultrasound on my own ever again…

Hello! First timer of BC here.
About 1,5 months ago I started taking yazmin-28, I haven't had much side effects aside from breast growth, my size has gone from a C-cup to a DD/E-cup within this time. Aside from it feeling uncomfortable and a bit painful it's not too bad, but I cannot use my regular bras anymore and need to get a new one... I haven't gotten a proper well fitted bra before but since my breast literally feel like they're going to explode I went to an actual lingerie shop to find one in the correct size, but they're very expensive for a student like me, and hence I'm not too keen on investing in one if it will be too small in a month.
So my question is, did the growth slow down for you and if so, when? At this point they feel bigger everyday and it's getting very uncomfortable without proper support. Thank you for the response.

So I've been thinking about this quite a bit lately, especially after I made my oviraptidon/volcanic break thread, and I've come to a bit of a surprising conclusion. After looking at the new set mechanics and theorycrafting about how they matchup into the current meta, I believe it is currently unnecessary to add any cards to the banlist, and that the new set will have no difficulty in reshaping the meta in its current state (whether or not it takes the meta in a healthy direction is yet to be seen, but I don't believe in pre-emptive bans of unreleased cards, so for the purposes of this discussion let's assume that there are no banworthy cards in the upcoming collab set). There are two reasons for this.

1. Two of the biggest threats in the current meta, turbo hydra and star dragon control, rely very heavily on spirits with destruction effects. These effects are heavily nerfed by the new keyword AT Field, which is present on a majority of new spirits and prevents them from being destroyed by such effects if they have soul core. Most notably, Deep Sea Hydra's destruction effect is completely and utterly blanked by AT Field, because you can just select the spirit that has it active and blank the destruction effect (you still mill and obviously it still needs to be blocked, but being able to blank the destruction effect is really good at limiting the damage you take).
   
2. Aside from just having mechanics that match up well into the current meta, the EVA set is not lacking in power. Phase 2 is easily on par with Siegwurm Ira in terms of power level and slots pretty cleanly into the purple core control shell, which has been the most consistently excellent deck archetype in the game from the very beginning. Second Impact is just a 1 sided board wipe and I'd be shocked if this isn't enough to push some kind of angel deck into the meta. Heck, even Red/Green Operation Yomato might be able to make a splash just by being the fastest deck that has access to AT field, potentially slipping under all the control decks that have been so dominate during the game's lifespan.
   
3. The set 4 meta is by far the healthiest meta we've had so far. Prior to set 4, high level games would regularly go to time during game 2, and actually playing out a full best 2 out of 3 set would take an hour and a half to 2 hours. The defensive power of cards like AIS and Thorn Prison were simply too good at blanking attacks, and the risk of the crackback was too high to risk declaring attacks unless you were guaranteed to remove a key spirit with it. The introduction of the double symbol boss monsters in set 4 has done wonders in breaking board stalls and ensuring games can actually end in a reasonable amount of time, because for the first time we have proper win cons. Simply put, I do not want to go back to a pre set 4 meta.
   

To be clear, this does not mean we don't need a banlist at all. Axebiter and Neatherworld Depths need to continue to stay far far away from the game, the former is simply a mistake that should have never been printed, and I assure you purple does not need any more help (we can prolly unban Ovi and Volc Break though...). I will also note that this post is made under the assumption that limiting AIS and/or Thorn Prison is not on the table, mostly because doing so would fundamentally alter the balance of the game and I wasn't prepared to delve into that rabbit hole. If we do ban/limit these key defensive pieces, then we probably should also consider banning some other threats, because all of a sudden the game just got a whole lot easier to just end.

I feel calm, but my husband is very upset over my decision to divorce.
We have tried counseling. We had some success. Been together 7 years, have two kids, married for just 2 years. He is 51. I am 35. This is his second marriage. My first.
I try so hard to be happy with him, but I feel so lonely. I do not want to be married to him anymore because despite all his good qualities and our great life together, when something bad happens to me, whether it is as minor as an insult from someone or as major as a loss of friendship or job, I have to convince my husband through detailed conversation why I have a reason to be upset/sad and why am not in the wrong. I understand completely that anything bad is partially my fault and I try very hard to communicate effectively in life and be forgiving of situations.
But I can’t shake the feeling that in the privacy of our bedroom, at the end of a long day, I should not have to convince my husband that I am not bad. I don’t ask him to stand up for me or do anything courageous. I just want him to implicity believe me in the stories I tell about my day. Shouldn’t he, as my husband, implicitly be on my side?
I have no history of lying or cheating or really anything bad. I have a temper, but have actively worked to be more regulated and I have improved so much. My temper was mostly caused by sleep deprivation post-partum. I’m a good mom and a good partner. I know I am not perfect. But why should I spend my life with someone who does not implicity believe me?
I don’t have a problem with him seeing a situation differently and offering a unique perspective. But I have to literally convince him with details in order to legitimize my emotions. It’s not fun.

It’s made it very easy to stay on a super clean diet and the only side effect I’ve had thus far is diarrhea but I’m able to deal with it and it’s not been terrible. I wish I would’ve lost more but I also know 5 pounds in a week is fantastic I shouldn’t complain lol. Hope everyone is having a good time with it!

i’ve been off the mini pill since november 2022, and i don’t think it’s really benefitting me at all. i stopped taking it bc lots of stuff online was scaring me about being on it long term. however i really do not enjoy having a period and i have recently been getting quite severe PMS (anxiety, tearfulness, etc) and i’m thinking of just going back on it.
i didn’t get a period whilst i was taking it and can’t recall any bad side effects - will this be the case if i go back on it? will my body react to it the same way as before (ie pretty well)?

I (26F) am quite new on the PCOS journey. My biggest concern at the moment is trying to control my weight. Because of this, my gynaecologist prescribed performing. Despite trying to persevere, I was just having terrible side effects to the point I couldn't leave my home. Upon doing research j discovered berberine and inositol. I tried berberine first, to some success but has read that it cannot be taken for an extended period of time so I switched to inositol. I cannot remember specifically when I started taking it but it seems to coincide with my eczema flare. I've had eczema all my life but I've never experienced a flare like this before. It has been nearly 2 months now and im only just thinking it could be related as out of the blue I seem to have started my cycle. I've been monitoring my cycle for over 6 months now and it has consistently been approximately 60-70 days. Today is only day 24. I knew inositol could help improve my cycle to become more regular but it hadn't occurred to me it could happen so quickly. So im aware no one can say for certain except medical professionals, but could they be linked? I dont know whether to stop the inositol to help clear my eczema or whether I should persevere in hope that it levels out and foxes itself. Any advice is welcome. Thanks for taking the time to read.

I’ve been prescribed metformin 500mg and previously took it before my ADHD diagnosis. Other hormone issues are suspected but there was a long period of time that I didn’t take metformin.
Diagnosed in my late twenties with ADHD (sans the metformin); now back to taking metformin again to address my A1c.
Aside from the GI side effects (to be expected), what other things did you notice when starting metformin in conjunction with ADHD meds?
To clarify I’m not asking for medical advice (unless you can prove to me you’re an endocrinologist available before September, lol.) I just want to know about your experiences/side effects/changes in mood/focus/etc.

We recently switched vets to one that's more local (the other was 45mins-1hr away, this new one is 10mins). The first experience I had left me shaken but I figured I was over reacting or just being too sensitive.
My std poodle has the hairiest inside ears. I've had his last 2 vets tell me this lol. So he gets plucked every 6-8wks to prevent ear infections. All the vets prior to this new one used numbing powder and have me give him rx sedatives prior to the appt. Haven't had issues with this process before until the new vet.
Incident 1: I used the sedatives medication as per protocol from before but this vet didn't use the numbing powder that the others used before. He just started yanking and my poor boy was in so much pain that i started to have a panic attack and asked them to do something about his pain, their solution was to put him under with a combination of IV meds. They explained it's similar to when they do surgery and continued with the ear plucking then gave him another medication to wake him up and we had to use a stretcher to get him into the car. He's a larger breed of standard so is 92lbs rn.
Incident 2 (vet tech only appt): I grind Abel's nails myself but I've been fighting cancer since June last year and dealing with treatment side effects so I went longer than I'd like not doing his nails so I wanted the vet to just LOOK at them to make sure I'm doing it OK. And to do his anal gland expression. Well they decided to clip his nails without asking and clipped thru THREE quicks! I could hear him yelping from the lobby but didn't know why at the time. They brought him out and there was blood drops everywhere he walked in the lobby, I had to point it out and they used Quickstop on 2 of them, then a 3rd started to bleed during checkout, they did quick stop on that one too. I left feeling like complete crap and a bad pet parent but also extremely angry. They hurt him! Not once but 3x! Once I would understand but 3x?! How does that happen?
Now I'm debating if I should stay with this vet clinic. The vet who owns the clinic himself is fine. Idk what to do anymore, I'm just upset for my baby and want to do what's best for him.
What would you all recommend at this point? What should I do? Thanks in advance! 🐾

What unwanted side effects have you had? So far I've been great energy wise. Sleep hasn't been the best but it never has been. Plus my cravings have been great too. BUT, I just had a brain zap this morning. I've had, maybe 3 in my whole life, so that was pretty scary.

I started on Wegovy 0.025mg and I'm about to do my last shot of .5mg this coming Monday (May 20th). Due to shortages, I'm skipping the 1mg dose and going into the 1.7mg dose. I'm not sure if I should change my injection day to Fridays in case there are any side effects. I've been fine so far, but am concerned because of the dose jump. And if I do change it to Friday, should I do it the same week of the 20th, or hold off a week. Any recommendations?

I’m nearly a year postpartum. From 6 months postpartum I started to feel a sort of “fog”. Never overly sad, never “depressed”, no bad thoughts about my baby or feeling disconnected from her at all. Just feeling sort of foggy. I was able to feel happy with her and happy with my life. At 10 months postpartum I finally mentioned this “foggy feeling” to my Doctor and they said this could be postpartum depression even though I wasn’t really feeling depressed. They put me on Zoloft and suggested talk therapy. I called a few therapy clinics and have now had my first therapy appointment and will go weekly. Zoloft made me super anxious with heart racing and my mind racing and I chose to stop after only 2 days. I called the doctor the following week and they prescribed Wellbutrin instead. First 9 days on that were “ok”, no major side effects but I was suddenly feeling that dark cloud/depressed feeling which I truly wasn’t feeling before. I started to wonder if they misdiagnosed me and I have something underlying going on? Days 10-12 were absolutely terrible with tons of crying, severe depression and anxiety with a pit in my stomach. All things I haven’t felt in years. I chose to stop that too and I’m really struggling with the feeling of not feeling like I gave it enough of a try but also feeling like I don’t need it especially if it’s going to make my symptoms worse. At this point I’ve written off any medication and I’m to the point where my daughter will be a year old soon.
I’m hopeful that with time these feelings will subside and I can move past this, has anyone worked through PPD with just talk therapy and no medication?

I have taken the mini pill (desogestrel) for 8 years since I turned 15 but I’m now looking at swapping to the Mirena coil for convenience and wondered if anyone had any experience doing so?
I started the pill at 15 mainly to stop my horrifically painful and heavy periods. I have no negative side effects from it and would quite happily continue taking it for as long as I need. I’m due to start a new jobs soon with the very variable shifts, long hours and some nights so I’m thinking the mirena would be a better option so that I’m not having to stress about taking my pill at the correct time.
My main concern is my periods returning or getting side effects that I don’t currently have. Has anyone made the swap before and what was your experience??

I (22M) started taking the hims topical fin/min spray on March 11 so it’s been 2 months now, the last week and a half I noticed that I no longer have morning woods, my erections aren’t as rock hard strong and I’m the past few days my orgasms aren’t as strong. I’m a very healthy and active person and am on a high protein and fat diet my libido was always high and never experienced not having morning wood. I don’t have the other side effects like brain fog or watery semen. So could this be the effects kicking?, is it like this as long as I’m taking it or could it be a just a short phase for a while? I’m noticing results and don’t want the worst outcome to be possible. Thank you

it seems to be out of stock in every pharmacy around my town, is this happening everywhere in the uk? it’s annoying because my doctor usally pre-orders it but this month it wasn’t there and the doctors didn’t even say anything! i contacted my doctor and got prescribed a different one but it’s annoying since i’ve had 0 side effects from lizinna it’s the only one i’ve ever taken for about 6 years. worried to try another because of the side effects.
is this happening anywhere else to anyone else on the same pill? i hope they aren’t just getting rid of it from the nhs
