I have two motherboards today which had bent pins that have been corrected. Please read the descriptions of both items so you know what was done to each board to fix them and what their problem was/is. All motherboards have been tested to ensure functionality from all the DDR5 lanes to the PCIE & m.2 lanes. I have timestamps of the 3D Mark stress tests as well as the link to the verified stress test. Both 1&2 come with a 14 day return window in case you find anything I did not find. Local is 91214.
ASUS ROG B650E-F WIFI #1 ($100 shipped or $80 local cash)
This motherboard had three slightly bent pins that I pushed back into place. No major damage to the pins other than a little bending. There was thermal paste along the right side of the socket and I scraped at to clear all the heads. There is still some towards the base that I was not able to remove. It does not affect the functionality of the board. Board has minimal scratchers on the heatsinks. The pictures are worse than what you really see on the heatsinks for scratches, it is my bright desk light. Please see timestamp for accessories. Comes with factory box. Writing this during my break and im kinda scared. These 3 guys came in and tried to load cash app card. They inserted their card and so I pressed f3. But then they told me that the card was different and that they're not from here. That I had to put in the total and then press enter. The fact that they didnt say f1 but enter confused me too. I now realise its the same thing. I was very hesinant and suspicious. But after they showed me the pin pad screen which said processing idk I started to belive them a little more. And then they also showed me the back of the card that said I Had to process the card as cash, so I did........ I was really confused and just wanted to go get my manager but I'm also slow and a complete push over. And now I'm really scared. They put 500 on that 1st one and then.. went on to get visa prepaid cards and "cashback" in the same manner. Um. I now realize it was 100% scam and regret it. one thing that made me feel like it was maybe not a scam was that at the end, the transaction got declined. Now... was that because they had made too many pre paid cards in a row or was it that the card they were using got declined.i don't know but I'm scared to death that my till is going to be short. Either way Someone got scammed because they left right after I told them it got declined. I know I should have trusted myself and gone to get my manager. It's my fault entirely. What should I do? I need this job up until I leave for college god knows it's going to be expensive. Yes it could technically get another job but that would be very inconvenient for me considering this one is pretty close to where I live and I sometimes have to walk here.

In about 16 months starting from 0 I've racked up about $15K worth of points (valued at 1c/pp) almost entirely through SUBs, only used about 5K. Have opened and churned somewhere around 13 cards, both business and regular. Don't know why but it's so addicting, always scouring for the next bonus. I see it as leaving money on the table if I don't do it. Pretty dumb hobby.
My current plan that I'd like feedback on:

• BILT for rent, $480/year back
• Chase business cards every 3 months for $750-$900 in SUBs
• Keep Chase Sapphire Reserve open, I redeem often at 1.5x. Also get $540 value out of card credits so this is a no brainer
• MAYBE: Keep VentureX open after year 1 if I figure out a better use for my Chase points and downgrade/cancel my Reserve. This card is effectively free so I think I'll keep it around for a while ($400 credits on a $400 card)
• CANCELLING: Amex Platinum after year 2. Got a 50k ($500) retention offer after year 1. Math works out in my favour with $200 travel credit + $180 Uber so I kept it, but I don't use any other benefits (never been lucky enough to encounter a Centurion Lounge while travelling)

Point usage:

• Chase at 1.5x, VentureX point usage for regular international flights to Canada and Latin America, and domestic economy within USA + LatAm. Occasional rental car in LatAm at 1.5x

As I walked towards the ATM cashpoint outside the supermarket to get some cash, a guy from the carpark got there first. No biggie. I stopped, not wanting to be too close, but near enough to indicate that I'm now a one man line/queue.
There's a tug on my right shoulder. I turn slightly, take out my right earbud. It's an old lady. In my opinion, easily mid-seventies, probably more.
"Excuse me" she said, "I'm in a bit of a hurry...
Which is where I cut her off with "well, we're all in a rush, love" and turned back as she kind of went "oh".
Ten seconds later the dude walked away and I stepped up to the machine, card, pin number, amount, ten second wait, card, cash, done. Start to finish, Thirty to Forty seconds tops. I walked away without looking back at the machine or the woman.
I was too busy remembering the time ten years ago when I and a friend (both mid 30s) were on a city centre bus, getting off at the next stop, we were being loud in the aisle. An old lady said 'shouldn't you be setting a better example?' We both turned our heads and spoke at the same time. I said 'who for? We're the youngest here' whilst he said 'shouldn't you be dead?' The doors open and we step out, both really laughing!
I think to myself that I missed the opportunity to say something about how We're all just waiting for death to come and take us or something like that but obviously hilariously - and those opportunities will be few and far between and I wasted this one.
Could I have just gone 'no worries love' and waved her in front of me - it wouldn't have affected my day at all. I was just instantly annoyed thinking that she wasn't in a hurry for any discernable reason, she was just trying it on because she was an entitled old woman who probably did this all the time and thought that she'd take advantage of a younger person's manners yet if she saw anyone cut a queue in front of her she'd be the one to 'tut' loudly and say 'you'd never think that we won a war at all' or some other inappropriate English pensioner gubbins.
Am I the arsehole for delaying this woman for thirty seconds or just not being polite and letting her jump the one person queue?

Well, after 3 cancellations and a lot of me chasing them to pin down plans, the conversation with LO finally happened. As I expected it was thoroughly anticlimactic.
LO made it clear that this whole experience has been more emotionally intense for me than it has been for them. In other words, they don’t really care. We talked, I apologized, they accepted my apology, and we hung out for several hours.
I am proud of myself for staying calm enough to apologize and listen to their actual feelings. I am annoyed however because I still fell into my fawn response and didn’t voice any of the disrespectful things they do that trigger me. So I ended the conversation feeling one down and waiting on them (yet again) to define the terms of our friendship going forward.
I finally know LO doesn’t care about me. I feel free. Not sad really. Just annoyed I wasted so much time on this person.
I also met a young part of me that wants to be held and did an ideal parent meditation that helped me realize why I’m addicted to LO.
LO triggers me back to the feelings of not belonging and loneliness I felt from early childhood. We have such similar trauma that my parts feel like I can redeem my childhood wounds by convincing them to love me. It’s the same dynamic I had with my mom and other caregivers.
I spent some time with those parts and helped them unburden. I also had an amazing date with a really cute person last night, which helped. (Not feeling another LO coming on, just genuinely had a good time). I am going to keep working on addressing my attachment issues so I don’t keep trying to get my emotional needs met from LO or other suitors by playing out old patterns from childhood.
I feel free. I am more fed up and burnt out with LO than anything at this point. They don’t like me, I’ll never understand why, and it’s not my responsibility to convince them to love me or to save them from their own very similar wounds. They’re just a person, one who increasingly treats me poorly.
One piece that stood out for me was listening to LO complain about how badly the men they are dating are treating them. That the things these men are doing are the exact same things LO does to me and I find triggering, and also that the things LO wants from these men is what I offered (emotional support, care, consistency). I feel like Chappell Roan wrote “Good Luck, Babe” for this exact type of situation. I have compassion for LO, and obviously these men are behaving terribly, but it just strikes me as ironic that, here I am, right here ready to love you exactly like you want, and…crickets.
This experience forced me to heal from the last cobwebs of my childhood emotional neglect trauma so that I can finally find healthy love, love myself, and live my life on my own terms.
I don’t need LO. I need myself and the solid people in my life who do choose me and want me always.

So I got a chase sapphire preferred but am wondering if I’m losing out on points since I don’t have the freedom unlimited?
I want to use my points for trips. Majority of my expenses is grocery gas sometimes dining.

Is this correct? Does 1.5% cashback equate to 1.5 points per dollar? If so, should I combine both so freedom unlimited for everything other than travel/dining expenses?

There is language on the Citi ThankYou Points website stating:

"The Citi Rewards+SM card is not eligible for 10% Points Back with Points Sharing"

I speculated that this simply meant that you would not get the 10% points back bonus through the act of sharing as your redemption option, but that those points once shared to an account with a Rewards+ card would get 10% points back upon redemption. I could not find any data points on this.
I'm happy to report that yes indeed if you redeem points shared to your ThankYou points account with a Rewards+ card, you will get the 10% points back bonus. I redeemed 100 points for cashback that were shared from P2's account to my account yesterday as a test, and the 10% points back bonus posted to my account today.
Edit: Clarified that points were shared to my account and then I redeemed them for cashback and received the 10% bonus. Edit 2: You should know that Citi Custom cash cards are not eligible for points sharing, so you will need to combine Custom Cash ThankYou accounts with some other Citi card account before you can share them. Our setup: I have 2 Custom Cash cards and a Rewards+, P2 has a Custom Cash card and a Double Cash. I have $4k or so in a mess around account that got transferred from TD and logged in today to see no buying power available. It turns out that you can't even trade spreads at schwab with less than $5K lol, even though their risk is very low since the liability is cash secured when we open the trade. Sure, pin risk is a consideration, but most people aren't holding into expiration and you would think they have a risk team to handle this anyway.
In any event, I'm leaving scwab after less than 2 days. Recommendations for a new broker?

I had to think about what did I use my points for as most of the posts in travel-related subreddits tend to focus on min-maxing their redemptions. There were times where I was concerned about paying points vs cash, but then I had to evaluate whether I would actually have another opportunity to use the points. Decisions that led to using a mix of points and cash basically boils down to either not having enough points to cover the whole bill or just cutting down the cash price when it ended up being a 1:1 equivalent for points to cash. I still have a few aspirational trips that I want to cover with points, like Maui or Europe, so I'll stick around a bit longer.
