During my dismal final days, my colleagues, once comrades became corporate sharks, whispers of them scheming to claim my last efforts as their own filled the empty office spaces.
Compelled by financial duress to abandon my central city dwelling, I relocated to the outskirts with two college mates, Jaz and Kath, who had similarly found themselves victims of the economic downturn. We settled into apartment 606, a unit with dubious charm, suspiciously affordable on the 13th floor of a dreary building, its corridor haunted by a flickering sensor light that was only designed to function on rare occasions. Yet, the apartment itself was surprisingly very well furnished, almost like something that jumped out from a design mag, out beating sample rooms in Ikea, boasting a spacious balcony, a living room ready for an impromptu soirée, a dining table that’s good enough to hold a banquet(became our co-working space) and a kitchen isle that became our sanctuary and curse.
When we first settled into our new abode, we discovered a trove of fine kitchen utensils, perfect for whipping up sophisticated cuisine and crafting cocktails worthy of a swanky soirée. Tucked away in the fridge, among the remnants of the previous tenants' life, was a quaint note: “The three of us really enjoyed our stay here, especially our meals and nights spent by the kitchen island. Was it merely a coincidence, or had this stylish piece of decor become the unlikely conductor of our lives symphony? One thing was certain: life in apartment 606 was never dull, and our kitchen island seemed to be more than just a place to eat—it was a place where, apparently, you could stir the pot of fate.

We laid bare our saga of the seemingly cursed kitchen island, complete with photographic evidence of where domestic bliss meets eerie phenomena.

The psychic, amidst a chorus of Latin incantations, directed us through a chilling séance that included a mirror that reflected nothing but darkness and a burning black candle, the three of us sat in a row, joined hands, eyes closed. When the black candle was flickering at its last, the first eerie scratches heard prompted our eyes to open prematurely, we saw a command appear on the island, written by invisible hand and pen, in blood-red script, urging us to find the next "succeeder" before our lease on otherworldly disturbances could be terminated.
With bated breath, we agreed, and as if by magic, our signatures materialized on the countertop, then faded as the candle sputtered out. We tore off the black cardboard taped on the windows at dawn, the sunrise revealed a final message etched into the surface: "Debt cleared." As the daylight grew, the ominous inscription dissolved into nothingness, signalling the end of our spectral saga.
The ordeal, now officially behind us, left us enjoying a semblance of normalcy: life in 606 returned to its mundane rhythm, with dinners and movie nights back on our social calendar. Though not without its scars—literal and figurative.
It’s been two years since then, Jaz, in the throes of romantic bliss, is now gearing up for a new chapter waiting to be written alongside her soon-to-be spouse; Kath, her career finally taking a lucrative turn, was poised to upgrade her living situation, she secured a lease on a lavish serviced apartment in the city center—a place that matched her newfound financial swagger.
I’m not without my own leaps forward. With a modest boost from my parents, I took the plunge into homeownership, snagging a property within the city’s vibrant confines. The process was a whirlwind of paperwork and decorating decisions, culminating in a space I could truly call my own.
As we are packing up now, my last act is to type out our story, at the infamous island, and of course, I left a note in the fridge for the next tenants:
"Welcome to 606. We had a wonderful time here, especially at the kitchen island, filled with joy and unforgettable moments. We hope you find as much happiness as we did. Use the isle well. Warm wishes, the previous tenants."

Basically, I want to play modded free roam with my friends, similar to what smi77y does. I don't want something like 5m or RageMP, just the base gta game with skin/weapon/car mods added to it. I also don't want it to affect our normal accounts, as we don't want to actually cheat our way through the actual game. I just want a private server that doesn't affect our accounts for shits and giggles.

There seems to be a very mixed view from what I'm reading here. Some say that in New Horizons villagers don't move out on their own until they at least speak to you first. Others say 'a speech bubble will appear above their head and they might move anyway' so which is it? I went to a lot of effort to bring Shino, my first (and quite adorable) Deer villager to my island, and I don't want to open the game one day to find her gone (like Zell in my New Leaf game). So if they have a thought bubble and you ignore them do they up and leave anyway? I've also seen folks post images of villagers packed up in boxes and that brings back some dark Wild World memories as well. Do they move without being prompted like before or not?

I'm looking at building out a single server box that can either run 4 VMs for gaming and streaming at once or, if not VMs (I know some games' anti-cheat have trouble with VMs, but that's not a concern for me) then a single box that could allow 4 people connected to game and stream at the same time. I'm not looking to spend Jeff Bezos money on this, but as this is being planned as a business expense I can throw a bit of money at it if I absolutely have to.
Any advice on a direction I could take for this would be greatly appreciated.

Just got shadow banned like 10 minutes ago for the 2nd time in my life ever. I was sick all last week with Covid,strep throat and an earache so I couldn’t play for 8 days. I played ranked squad fills and met a player. The player ( Karson2342. Epic: daddywells2020 ). Their rank had been RESET from Elite to Gold bc they unknowingly played with a cheater through squad fills. You won't know whether the players you're playing with or against are cheaters It's INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT that people are discussing + doing everything to prevent it from happening.
I trust that this player isn't cheating because the 1st match recorded was because we had a camper on OUR TEAM who were NOT contributing at all in a TEAM MODE. We already lost a player in the beginning and the only one left was the Jeff guy who sat in the edge of the map the majority of the time.
Me + Karson decided to throw the game despite him being in Elite. Who does that? Cheaters don't throw away matches in rank. They cheat to win. That's the point. That's how I know ( Karson ) they're being truthful and they're being serious. For me, you guys have already seen my cup video so it's so OBVIOUS and I've been stuck in Diamond. + I still have my rank.

Is it fair for players to get their rank reset because they unknowingly played with a cheater through squad fills? Like how are you supposed to know whether OR not someone is cheating? Like IMAGINE working hard for your rank ONLY to be punished because of someone elses' actions ingame.
Cheating happens anywhere, any game but this doesn't seem right.
UNLESS IF you're PURPOSEFULLY ( not squad fills ) are playing with cheaters then I don't believe players should be punished because of someone else. That just DEFEATS the ENTIRE thing about rank reflecting one's skill because I've seen players comment that their ranks had been reset before. Does that mean their bad as well? NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT. Rank is a JOKE.

Type- Specialist
This nen ability allows one to challenge a fellow nen user to some form of competition. They may also receive challenges from others to start the hatsu. The competition is 3 rounds, and the first to 2 wins is the victor. It can be any game, event, or even a fight. The loser of the previous challenge gets to choose the next challenge. The competition takes place in a separate dimension where only the participants may enter. The dimension changes itself in order to best fit the competition chosen. The winner of the competition takes everything the opponent had. This includes their total nen, nen type, hatsu, skills, talents, memories (without emotional attachment), Nen beasts, and physical attributes. If the winner wants, they may instead have the loser become their loyal property instead. Thus, it will make it so the one who lost has to obey the winner to the best of their abilities.
Example- say Gon challenged Killua, if Gon won he would get all of killuas training, assasination talent, nen talent, physical attributes, intelligence, transmutation nen affinity, hatsu, memories (without emotional attachment), and have killua's total nen added to his own. This stacks onto his own attributes. If Gon lost, Killua would gain this from Gon instead.
Conditions 1- The challenger will be unable to use any hatsu's for the challenge. This effect is removed if there are more than 2 people participating in the competition.
2- The nen ability moves to whoever wins
3- No outside interference is allowed in the challenges, whether that be other peoples hatsu's or performance enhancing drugs
4- All participants are healed to their peak form only for the challenges. If you are injured, then you will be healed for the challenges then after the challenges given back your injuries.
5- The ones challenged have the right to refuse the challenge, in which case the hatsu does nothing to them. For the hatsu to take effect, at least one challenged person has to accept the challenge (in case you challenge a group of people), this hatsu would then only affect the ones who accepted the challenge.
6- The one challenged gets the first choice of the challenges
7- The ones challenged can use any hatsu they like for the challenges. This is changed to anyone can use any hatsu if there are more than 2 participants.
8- Once the challenges have started, there is no way to stop them until someone has won.
9- In order for the owner of the nen ability to initiate the hatsu, the one being challenged or the one challenging, the owner must know what's at stake.
10- There is no reversing the challenges. All results are final.
11- The nen ability also affects the user. This includes the consequences for losing.
12- There is no limit to the maximum number of participants of the challenges. If there are more than 2, then it will be put into a single elimination tournament style. If there is an odd number of people, then the odd person must compete against a copy of a random nen user. If the odd person loses, then the copy is removed from the competition. The copy can be any nen user living or dead.
13- In the event of more than 2 people being part of the competition, then the reward of winning will be held onto until the end of the competition and given to the final winner.
14- no cheating allowed in the competition. If you cheat out of ignorance, you are given a warning (you undergo an immense amount of pain as the warning). The warning scales with the persons pain tolerance. If you knowingly cheat, then you automatically lose.

It would make the owners of PSVR 2 feel invested in, and those that claim them without the system to build a library they may want to invest in at some point by way of buying the actual headset. They are definitely good for nothing mfers. I would say they did on on purpose but they actually played really hard.
That damn AV game, really the second half cost us the championship. But fuck we lose one damn game all Spring and we lose the Premier League. That’s freaking ridiculous. Couldn’t be prouder of our boys, they win the damn league 9/10 years with this performance.

My only league of legends account has been falsely banned for cheating and Riot refuses to help me understand what got me banned.
I started playing League of Legends in 2021 and have never made a smurf or bought another account. I have never received any other punishments and had a high honor level. I had almost 500 ranked games played this season and climbed up to mid diamond by learning how to play Nunu and getting coaching from various players.
I have not ever cheated, nor do I have anything on my PC that could possibly modify my game files in the exception of Porofessor. I am going to need to level up a new account, but I am scared that it will be pointless and that I will get banned again since their support refuses to tell me what triggered their anti-cheat.

My opgg is extremely normal and shows no signs of cheating. I am a nunu OTP and have violated no Terms of Services. This is the only account I ever have had for the game, feel free to look back at all my previous seasons of play.

The 0 transparency, communication to any anti-cheat specialist, lack of support or guidance for me to be able to continue playing the game is crazy for such a giant in the gaming atmosphere. I refuse to believe these are not all copy paste mostly bot responses, and even more that anyone reviewed a single game of mine.

Champions

Ornn

• a bit ago it was brought up that Ornn's passive was unsustainable due to the demand to create copypasted versions of his item upgrades and also have to make sure to keep them updated with any changes from the base items
• the passive upgrades have now been overhauled
• however this is clearly unfinished and buggy so it's not entirely clear what the final vision is supposed to be (the tooltip is currently unchanged from live)
• regardless, this is how it can now currently be observed to function:
  • Ornn can now upgrade every completed item except for unstacked Tear items and Support Quest items
    • this includes a couple oddities like Mejai's and Vigilant Wardstone
  • Ornn's upgrades now grant a mostly-fixed 1000 gold value to the following stats that the item possesses (split mostly-evenly):
    • AD:  +1/35g  (same as Long Sword)
    • AP:  +1/20g  (same as Amplifying Tome)
    • HP:  +1/2.66g  (same as Ruby Crystal)
    • Armor:  +1/20g  (same as Cloth Armor)
    • MR:  +1/18g  (same as Null-Magic Mantle)
    • AH:  +1/31.25g  (not sure what this is coming from, but we know that Riot does not actually value Ability Haste based on Glowing Mote like the wiki implies, possible that they took an average across multiple epic items?)
    • AS:  +1/30g  (same as Dagger post-14.10)
    • all other stats do not count (i.e. no Lethality, which would have been cool to see an official stance on its gold value)
  • for example:
    • Kraken Slayer post-14.10 grants 50 AD, 40% AS, and 7% MS on the base item
    • of these, Ornn only upgrades AD and AS, so the 1000 gold value will be split between those, leaving the MS untouched
    • 500g of AD and AS comes out to +14.3 AD and +16.7% AS
    • as a result, the Masterwork Kraken Slayer now grants +64 AD, +56% AS, and +7% MS (it's not entirely clear if it's actually rounding or if it's tooltip only)
  • Health seems to have a unique property to it that diminishes its value when joined by other upgradeable stats (this behavior doesn't exist in the data so I'm not entirely sure about it, it might also just be a math bug)
    • 1 stat (such as Warmog's or Heartsteel):  +375 health (valued at 1000g, which is full value)
    • 2 stats:  +175 health (valued at 465g, instead of 500g, which would grant +188 health)
    • 3 stats:  +125 health (valued at 333g, which is full value)
    • 4 stats:  +75 health (valued at 200g instead of 250g, which would grant +94 health, and suspiciously matches a would-be 5 stat value)
    • 5 stats:  pretty sure there is no such item unless Nexus Blitz Spatula comes back
  • upgrades still apply to only your first slotted item
    • there does not seem to have been anything added yet to better disambiguate where you want your upgrade to go beyond having to coordinate your slots with your Ornn (or in Ornn's case, making sure to have a specific item slotted first before you hit level 13)
    • this could potentially be solved by having the upgrade instead give you the Ornn crafting UI and picking which item to upgrade from there
    • also once you have an item upgraded, that is the only item that will be upgraded for the rest of the game (for example, if you upgraded Randuin's Omen, you cannot sell it to try to upgrade your Jak'Sho, for the rest of the game you will only be able to get upgraded Randuin's Omen)
    • for current testing purposes, the Reset Game cheat does let you pick a new item to upgrade, however it's pretty annoying to have to do that every time
  • upgrades no longer have unique names
    • for example, Black Cleaver now just becomes "Black Cleaver (Masterwork)" instead of Obsidian Cleaver
    • fortunately, the way they have this set up seems like it would be somewhat easy to keep the unique names in the future if they were willing to do so
    • the name gets changed by using an Item Modifier, and currently there is only one Item Modifier for all Ornn items, so the modifier has been told to simply append the masterwork label
    • however, Item Modifiers also support replacing names entirely, so if they wanted to they could create unique modifiers for each item's Ornn name
    • while this would still result in some future maintenance required whenever new items are added, and would now require every completed item to be given an upgrade name instead of just a handful, it's something you'd only have to do once and never come back to, instead of needing constant upkeep like the live Ornn upgrade system
• overall this is a very promising solution and its current shortcomings have some pretty good opportunities for improvement

 

ARAM

• Homestart speed duration:  10s 20s
  • this is the speed boost you get on game start as well as whenever you respawn before 5:00
  • this doesn't really matter much for game start since it takes 15s for spawn gates to drop + 3s for portal travel time
  • also it currently only grants ~1 speed? there's a data value that implies it should be 50% speed but maybe they divided by 100?
