About 2 months ago, I posted on this sub about self doubt about a script I was working on. I got a LOT of good advice, which really helped me through the writing process. I did pull through and finish the first draft, although admittedly not very proud of it. I realized I just wasn't happy working on that story, so I took a break for about a month, and focused on school. Eventually, I came up with a slice of life story, which is completely uncharted territory for me. I just started writing it about two weeks ago or, and currently at least, I'm having a blast with it.
Anyway, I just wanna say, in those weird "it's so over" moments when writing a screenplay, the comments on my original post helped me more than you can imagine. Especially when I realized first drafts aren't masterpieces, and aren't supposed to be. Hopefully one day I'll have the balls to post the finished product, but for now I just wanna say thank you.

I feel this would be the better option for many reasons:
-I think Sony wants one live action Spider-Man franchise.
-This way, Sony would have no interference.
-There’s more they could do with animation.
-They could serialize Raimi’s stories.
-They don’t need permission from Sony.
-Disney+ would on board with it because their platform has been failing (X-Men ‘97 has gotten low viewership despite positive reviews) and a follow up to the Raimi films would easily be the biggest thing on their platform, it would be a Game of Thrones scenario, where people for a time were only buying HBO to watch it.
-They could actually make a show that takes place right where Spider-Man 3 leaves off and explain what happened after that film ends, as opposed to having to do a time jump to explain why Maguire’s Peter is now so old.
-They’d be locked down to get Maguire, as he’s basically done very little since the Spider-Man films and did all the video games when the movies were out. They’d probably also be a lock to get J.K. Simmons as he loves starring in animated projects like Ultimate Spider-Man and Invincible. If they couldn’t get say, Kirsten Dunst, they can always just get someone to replace her.

I went to my primary Dr yesterday about possible Ehlers-Danlos, but saw her NP. The NP put "chronic pain" in my chart then prescribed me Prednisone to see if that helped. Well I woke up this morning at about 4am in agonizing muscle pain. My pain is normally in my joints, so having full body Charlie horse feeling is definitely not normal. I was crying from the pain, which I never do. That was freaking out my husband so he took me to the ER. The ER doc was so dismissive. He said I have chronic pain in my chart so he didn't know what he could do about the pain now. I was still crying so my husband was trying to explain that it was new pain, maybe from the new script. The dr was like, "it sounds like she just slept bad, taking prednisone at night can cause bad sleep. Take it in the morning next time." He also wouldn't run any tests since they did bloodwork at the primary care yesterday. I'm not sure what my husband said but the dr finally agreed to look at some muscle enzyme or something in the blood. So they took blood and gave me fluids and iv Tylenol. It took 4 hours to feel like my muscles weren't on fire anymore and the Dr comes in and said "all the bloodwork is normal. Follow up with your primary care dr." (Which my husband did already via phone and they said definitely stop taking the prednisone) I haven't ever been to the ER, where I had "chronic pain" in my chart, so this was new to me and very upsetting. I felt like they weren't taking me seriously at all, or just didn't care. I don't know. I'm sure if I read through this sub I could find many similar stories, I just wanted to share mine.

Hello! I wanted to share my analysis on how Cloud & Aerith represent the Ancient Greek legend of Orpheus & Eurydice, one of the most well known tragic love stories. There have been many different variations of this story from Hadestown to Moulin Rouge. I will reference the broadway show Hadestown a lot, because I’m a huge fan of the show and it represents Orpheus & Eurydice’s story very well. With this analysis, I’m going in with the belief that Hollow and No Promises to Keep are Cloud and Aerith’s songs that are about each other, who those songs are about is a whole different argument, but to ME, it’s obvious who they’re about and I’m using them to push this analysis further.
In the Greek legend, Orpheus & Eurydice fell in love, and one day Eurydice died from the bite of a viper. Orpheus was so ruined by grief that he traveled to the underworld itself to find Eurydice and bring her back. Orpheus sang about his love for Eurydice to Hades and Persephone, who were so moved by it that Hades gave him the opportunity to bring Eurydice out of the underworld, he just has to take the long walk out of the underworld with Eurydice behind him, and he cannot look back at her the entire walk until they are out of the underworld, or else she will be sent back down. Towards the end of their walk, Orpheus is worried that Hades had tricked him because he could not hear Eurydice behind him. He loves her so much that he is driven mad by the fear and doubt that enter his mind. So much so that he ends up looking back at her, and she is sent back to the underworld.
Now for the comparison to Cloud and Aerith. Obviously, we see their relationship become a precious and cherished thing, until Aerith is suddenly killed.
Now Cloud is not a singer or a poet, but he does have a song in the Remake. This song is heavily theorized to be about Aerith, and makes the most sense to be about her. It describes how lost and hollow he feels without her, which is so unbelievably Orpheus of him. In the lines;
“Bloody and bruised Brought to my knees When beaten down When broken up You would appear, Reach out to me, Heal every wound, And make me whole”
It makes me think of a scene in Hadestown, where Orpheus gets beaten up while in the underworld trying to get Eurydice back. Persephone is inspired by Orpheus’ determination to get Eurydice back, she keeps him going even when he’s beaten down.
Throughout Hollow, he says a lot of words like “Guide me to you” “I’ll never let you go”. He still wants to find her somehow after feeling so empty from her death. Again, very Orpheus.
Let’s look at the lyrics for Wait for me that Orpheus sings in Hadestown;
“Wait for me, I’m coming Wait, I’m coming with you Wait for me, I’m coming too I’m coming too”
Before Aerith even dies, she is kidnapped by Shinra, and Cloud makes it his personal mission to go get her back. After she is kidnapped in Remake, he has a vision of her, where he tells her, “I’m coming for you” In Rebirth, after she “dies” he tells her “I’ve got this” in English, but in the Japanese version, guess what he really says?
“Wait for me”
There’s also the Loveless play in Rebirth, where Cloud and Aerith play Alphreid and Rosa, whose story is very reminiscent of their real story. (I’m aware of how Rosa’s part can also be played by Tifa and Yuffie, but the story of this play fits Cloud and Aerith the most, as well as Rosa’s character fits Aerith the most. I could go into more evidence as to why the whole gold saucer section and Loveless play is very Aerith-leaning even while its player-choice but that is besides the point)
There is a line that Alphreid tells Rosa;
“You needn’t promise that you’ll wait. For I know that I will find you here”
Key words: Wait and Find
In Hadestown, Eurydice sings a song called Flowers. And guess who in FF7 is a flower girl? Aerith. The song ups about how Eurydice regrets becoming a worker for Hades (in this version she is very poor and hungry, and Hades convinced her to sell her soul for the safety of it all) but she misses the world above and remembers Orpheus and her happiness with him in the fields of flowers. Aside from the obvious flower connection, this almost makes me think of how while Aerith had a responsibility in dying and saving the world, she may have regrets since all she wants is to be happy with Cloud (we see her wishes on her dream date with him, spending time with him is how she wishes her life would be without the burden) and in the Advent Children script, when Cloud rides his motorcycle by a field of flowers where her ghost is standing and watching over him, it describes her feeling lonely.
Another thing to note, in Hadestown, a flower is used a symbol for the whole show. Most notably for this analysis, Orpheus uses it as a reminder of her as he travels to the underworld and tries to give it back when they REUNITE. And guess what happens when Cloud and Aerith meet? She gives him a flower that represent REUNION of lovers.
In Aerith’s song, No Promises to Keep, Aerith describes this burden while also saying lines like,
“Till the day that we meet again Where or when? I wish I could say But believe know that you'll find me“
Also:
“Take my hand And believe We can be Together evermore”
And don’t forget:
“Still I hope someday you'll come and find me“
This just screams Eurydice waiting for Orpheus in the underworld, knowing he’ll come find her. Shes saying, come and find me, while he’s saying, guide me to you. Pair that with how Cloud keeps saying Orpheus lines like “Wait for me” and “I’m coming for you”
In the original FF7, Cloud gets a glimpse of Aerith after the final battle, and that’s when he says:
“the Promised Land... I think I can meet her...there.”
Now we don’t have a clear answer as to what exactly the Promised Land is. Since Aerith is dead at this point when Cloud says this, it makes you wonder if it’s related to where you go when you die, or maybe just where Aerith goes since she is a Cetra. Regardless, she is still dead and Cloud still wants to find her, much like Orpheus when Eurydice dies.
In the Advent Children film that takes place two years after Aerith dies, Cloud himself is dying from geostigma, and sadly enough, is pushing away his friends, accepting death rather than fighting it, seemingly searching for Aerith amongst it all with how he sleeps in her church. Orpheus was known to have never been the same after Eurydice died, completely swallowed up with grief until he had the idea to see her again in the underworld.
Another interesting detail in AC, when he has visions of her, Cloud cannot look at Aerith because of his guilt until the very end where he decides to keep living on.
In the FF7 Remake, it takes a little different approach than the original FF7 did. There are multiversal aspects that have made people question if Aerith’s fate is final this time. Since we don’t know how Part 3 of the trilogy will play out, some of this is theorizing. But what I believe is that there was a new timeline where Cloud saved Aerith, it’s not the current timeline that Cloud and the rest of the party are in, but Cloud knows of this other timeline where Aerith is alive because he is the only one that can see into that timeline.
No Promises to Keep plays when they part at the very end of the game, the same song that talks about how she wants him to come and find her, just like he did when she was kidnapped by Shinra. This makes me wonder if maybe he will try to cross between different worlds (much like Orpheus with the underworld) to try and get her back. If this will be successful or not, we will see, he is Orpheus after all.
I am one that does not mind either way if Aerith lives or dies by the end of this new trilogy. Simply because the tragedy of their romance was already great, it would be emphasized even more with this hope that maybe we can get her back. Getting that hope then getting the same result is very reminiscent of Orpheus and Eurydice. But I will say I am hopeful that Cloud can defy fate and get his Eurydice back, I would love to see them happy together by the end.
And that is the end of my analysis, Cloud and Aerith’s romance were always my favorite not just because of their great dynamic but their story represents a beautiful ancient Greek Tragedy that shows how much a man can love a woman.

So, whenever questions like "what are your hobbies" or "what do you do in your free time" come up, I have a hard time answering. I'm a massive geek, and I'm really into stuff like video games, comics, anime/manga, Star Wars, etc. But I feel like that's not what a lot of people think of when they think of hobbies. You'll see it all the time online, people telling people who like things like video games to "get a real hobby" or something like that. And a lot of it has become my aestetic too. I'm known for wearing cool button up shirts, mainly with my geeky interests on them, as well as stuff like earrings and necklaces of the same nature.
Also, I think this is my autism/ADHD at play, but I'll sometimes struggle to get myself to do my hobbies. I'll be like "I could be reading comics or manga right now" but just won't. When I do, I love it, but for some reason, it's hard to get myself too. With video games, it's a special thing. I almost exclusively play single player games, and I'll play one at a time, and in my sort of journal thing, I'll often describe the events of what happened in the game if I played it that day, and I'll even give a set of 2 or 3 days a title like it's an episode of TV, based on things that happened in my day and what happened in the game, and it's fun to come up with a clever title.
I also create stories a lot. I say that instead of calling myself a writer cuse the vast majority of it is just in my head or in notes, I don't often enjoy the process of writing it down in something like a novel or script format, i just like coming up with the characters, setting, plot, etc.
There's a good amount of stuff I'd like to get into, but I just can't afford it. Like, I'm super skinny, and I thought kickboxing or boxing classes would be a good way to get some muscle, but I just can't afford it.
Despite how I'm making it sound, I'm actually a really happy and positive person😂, but I dunno, do you think I need better hobbies? How do I answer the question "what do you do in your free time?"

Both our last names have an O/Eau sound

• First one were founded by running man and forcing the Guest couple to break up
  
• Second one was founded by the guest and undo the break up statuses, along with the elimination against the male guest during the breakup period and one of the running men got his name tag ripped by them due to paralysing script on the same script book

Surprisingly fun for my taste. Don't get me wrong, I liked it, but I don't think it's the best either. There are definitely strange things and deus ex machinas, in addition to the fact that I feel that a few more chapters to seasons 1 and 2 would not have hurt it so that it wouldn't feel so rushed. The art style is... well, there's not much to highlight either. Except for the fact that there are times that more fluid animation (see the first kiss between Amity and Luz if I'm not mistaken) would have given it a better touch, but that fluidity makes it feel weird when it happens. The d ecolers palette is very good, good shades and consistency. The inclusion is well done! (miraculously, somehow) It doesn't interfere annoyingly in the plot and neither does it highlight it as if it were the center of the story. The detail that Luz's mother is Latina seems very well done to me. As an Argentinian, I recognize that the accent is more Colombian (in Argentina there are many immigrants from all over the world and countries) and it is curious but fun how it sounds. By God the characters are very good! My favorite is Edalyn, but King and Lilith are not far behind. The protagonists are competent and well written and the villain. By god the villain! very well written and designed, those colors, the voice, the mask are all very good. I wish the background had been explored in the series. Nor should we forget the lore of history. The corpses of titans are the islands (I didn't expect that revelation that King is one) and all the species that inhabit the islands are some more boring than others, but there isn't much to expect either. I almost forgot! The collector is... interesting. I'm not saying it's bad, but there are a few things that don't bother me, for example, that he is a child, although the way they treat the character means that it does not affect much. The few references there are are fun (see the games that Luz has installed on her computer, hollow knight and Hades) and others that I don't understand (it's a reference to amphibia, a series that I'm not going to watch even if my life depends on it). I think the soundtrack is what is weakest. It's decent, bordering on meh. The opening and ending are the only notable thing, but nothing very remarkable. Last (but not least) the duration. The chapters are the perfect length, neither too long nor too short. But I feel that the series lacked chapters to increase the development of the characters, so that it didn't feel rushed or short, because there are things that feel... forced? I don't know if there is a term for that in English. There are things that are not explored or that feel forced to move the plot forward. Now, I know that there are some comics that explore the future of the series, (I only found out about things published here) but it seems to me that they should make one more series exploring that life, for those who don't want or don't have access to comics. What would be the conflict? I don't know and I don't care much either, plus I doubt they'll do anything about how Disney is currently, if you know what I mean. How do you think of this original character idea?

I usually read books on Royal Road and Inkitt. I decided to give wattpad a shot for something different.
But it disappointed me quite easily, so far the only books I have come across are ceo or mafia, which I am not complaining I like those books yet at some point it feels repetitive. As if its the same story with the same plot but with different characters, but that gets a pass all because they actually have good quality writing.
What I am gonna complain about is the lack of quality on non romance books. Seriously, do some people not know basic english? Its ok if you don't, but if you are gonna write in english at least make an effort to learn how to write properly. Also some books just feel like picture books, at that point they might as well make a comic but they can't because those pictures are Ai generated or taken from Pinterest. It doesn't bother me if the pictures are on the first chapter only, it bothers me when its in the middle of the book MULTIPULE TIMES
If you need pictures to help you *describe* characters, place or creature, are you even writing?
Cause the last time I checked, writing is about using dialogue, description and expositions to tell people a good story. Your story needs to be good plot wise and writing wise.
Which brings me to my other point, script writing(only dialogue writing). This is the most horrendous thing I have ever crossed, the worst part is its not even proper script writing. Do you guys fear commitment or something?
Bad writing or lazy writing really turns me down. If there is some grammatical mistakes here and there I wouldn't mind But if the book has to much dialogue with direly any description or exposition, I am immediately dropping it.
So if you have good book both in good writing and plot you can link it. I read about anything, but currently I am looking for something non romance, but romance can be a side plot.
And if you don't know if your writing is good enough, just put it through Hemmingway editor, its what Royal Road writers use to see how well there writing is.
For me the standard is Grade 9 but if I had to go low it would be grade 5

I'm extremely disappointed. I bought my first Razer Blade laptop back in 2010 and it worked well until the battery bloated and popped out of the case. So, I decided I wouldn't be purchasing any more of those. Fast forward to needing a new laptop; I thought, surely after all these years, Razer has sorted everything out for their new laptops. So, I bought a brand-new 2024 Razer laptop, costing around $2300 with taxes.
For the first two months, everything was working fine. I even got the Thunderbolt Razer docking station. I hooked up two monitors via USB-C and also connected a Thunderbolt cable from the docking station to my Qnap. Everything was perfect until one day when I disconnected the docking station to move the laptop to the couch for a few hours. When I plugged the cable back in, none of the USB-C ports worked anymore.
With over 20 years in IT, I went through the troubleshooting steps I'd normally advise end users: rebooting, unplugging, but nothing worked. I even tried swapping cables around. Eventually, I decided to do a Windows reset, thinking that's probably what Razer's script would suggest. But even after the reset, the USB-C ports remained dead.
Then began the frustrating journey with Razer support. The first person I spoke to suddenly couldn't hear me when I explained the issue, so I hung up and called again. The second support person's first suggestion? You guessed it, factory reset. When I explained I'd already done that, they promised to email me instructions on their specific method. It turned out to be the same as what I'd already done, but I did it again just to comply.
After the factory reset, the USB-C ports still didn't work. So, Razer support requested a video showing the issue. I felt like they were pulling a prank on me. Not only did I have to rebuild my brand-new laptop and reinstall Windows, now they wanted me to be Steven Spielberg too? After spending half a day dealing with this on a laptop that was only two months old, I was incredulous.
I shot a video on my phone, but it was too big to email. Eventually, after a cumbersome process involving my NAS and YouTube, I managed to upload the video and share the link with Razer support. I'll keep everyone posted on what they request next.
The moral of the story? Imagine if someone less tech-savvy had bought this laptop and needed an RMA. It's a nightmare. Razer's tech support seems nonexistent; they just read off a script without any real solutions. I can confidently say this is the last time I'll be spending close to $3000 on a Razer product.
