Is this OTT or fit AF? (What's your best play from file app pls)
So here's an ankerr media hub plugged in to a Chromecast HD I wasn't using it as much as I would thought I would on my Z fold 3..
How can we use this (usb c hub you don't use often) to not waste potential?
I'd like to play from USB and replace my bedroom rp3b+ with kodi with the CC GTV (just cos CC is cooler to use with the remote)
What's the best android app you found to play media preferably with artwork from HDD etc..
Obviously comfortable remote use is key..
What are your thoughts Ps pls don't go vlc player etc the library function is crap and to date I have not found a decent app with library and media playback functions especially with remote..
There's got to be that hidden gem app hidden out there somewhere 🙏🙏
Cheers...

2024.05.23 23:38 SPECTRE6163 New gpu, was I scammed?

So i just a used sapphire nitro + RX 580 8gb not the special edition but the one with only 1 8-pin power cable So I need help checking if I did the necessary benchmarks or not and to check my scores, temps, etc.
Firstly, i checked gpuz and the card was fine and kept it while using furmark to monitor the temps, power draw, clock speeds, fan speeds. I ran it for about 10 minutes and it was stable at 84-83 only at 16:9 1920x1080p and the temps peaked at 79c° and the fan speed was slowly rising and was peaking at about 60% or so (1600rpm I guess)
On Ark survival evolved survival it was a bit higher than 30fps on epic settings(max) on 1280x1024 if I remember correctly and 60 fps on high preset and the resolution slider to the max (the one that makes the game look sharper and the further objects less pixilated) but the the temp was pretty high (76 c°) And the glass side panel was scorching hot
On minecraft with a modpack like RAD lite 1.5 with 228 mods in it I got 200 fps most of the time with wayyy lower temps than ark about 60c°
I still want to do another benchmark on 3dmark to just make sure, plus I want use msi afterburner to crank up the fans for lower temps, is it safe?
NOTES : THE TEST WERE WITH 3 INTAKE FANS AND NO EXHAUST FANS I'M CHANGING ONE OF THEM TO AN EXHAUST FAN AND THE NEW SCORES WILL BE ADDED
Finally, I'm sorry if there's spelling or grammatical mistakes I'm not a native speaker
😁THANKS FOR READING TO THE END😁

2024.05.23 23:31 _IceBurnHex_ Kudo, King Among Bears - cEDH viable? brews?

Hey everyone, as the title implies, just here looking to see if anyone thinks this card is actually cEDH viable? And if so, what are your reasons and thoughts behind building the deck?
Yes, we all know it is good with Elesh Norn. So lets just skip right past that.
Overall, I can see the deck going one of two ways if it becomes a viable deck. Anthem builds. Or heavy stax. I'm not sure either are necessarily good for the meta, but there are some other cards to consider with how unique this card is.
[[Delney, Streetwise Lookout]] is one card that is currently on my mind with Kudo. Since everything enters as a 2/2, it can potentially make some really busted triggers more often. Just a reminder to those who might look over this, it isn't just "ETB" triggers. It's any ability triggers with a creature of power 2 or less. Also it gives evasion to anything you're opponents play that pump up their side of the board. Then you got [[Roaming Throne]] as well.
[[Champion of Lambholt]] Turns on very quickly as well since it will only need 1 counter to make everything unblockable.
And one of my favorite cards that I think would do well with a beatdown plan would be [[Mirror Entity]].
And if you go stax with cards that stop ETBs in general, as long as you are running anthems or just more creatures than your opponents, you could potentially win like that as well.
Let me know what you guys think, and if you got any cards I'm missing that are secretly really good with this. Or if the card is "bad", explain why. I'm curious to know the differences in how people are thinking about new cards when they get revealed.

2024.05.23 23:26 the_last_registrant Financial Ombudsman Decisions II

Last year I spent a day browsing Financial Ombudsman decisions relating to motorcycle insurance. That post is here - https://www.reddit.com/MotoUK/comments/1342h6w/financial_ombudsman_decisions
I was reminded of the FO today, and decided to go back and see what's changed. Actually very little - plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. The same stories and themes still dominate. Here are a few of the common ones, with linked examples:
Write-off valuations -
Many owners still feel aggrieved at the offered payouts, but the FO is pretty firm that they're not expected to match advertised prices for used bikes. There are three major trade valuation guides (Glass's, CAP & Percayso). Insurers are expected to get prices from all of them, and pay out somewhere between the average valuation and the highest individual valuation. Pushing the insurer will still improve a poor offer (Mr G), but they're not likely to go above the highest individual valuation because they know the FO will not criticise them. (Mr R, Mr S, Mr K, Ms R)
Garages -
Still the single greatest cause of refused payouts. Why do bikers still think they can get away with this in 2024? Mr C claimed to have a home garage, but kept his bikes in a public carpark a mile away. Mr K insisted that a shared parking compound is the same as a private garage (except a hundred other people have keys...). Mr H claimed to have a garage, but when the insurers asked for a photo he sent them one copied from a online rental agency (hello, Google reverse image search). When they visited the address and found no garage, he said he'd recently demolished it and nobody could prove otherwise. Another Mr K insisted that a car port was basically the same as a brick garage, Mr A's home was visited by insurance investigators who found no garage, and said he meant his grandpa's garage across town where he used to park a while ago.
All of these claimants received nil payout, and I suspect several of them are now flagged in the industry's shared fraud database. It seems clear that insurers are routinely checking Google Streetview or sending investigators.
Dodgy Blighters -
Mr E was 'fronting' a bike (insured in his name, on the same date his son passed Mod2) and it all came unravelled when the lad crashed it. Mr F 'accidentally' forgot 2 motoring convictions for "severe" offences( according to the FO). The insurer said they wouldn't have offered cover if this had been disclosed. Mr F's payout was refused, and his policy voided. Mr D insured his scooter at his parent's address, but it was stolen from his actual home far away. He claimed he was staying at his parent's home 4 nights pw, and the insurers couldn't prove otherwise. his claim was refused and his policy cancelled. Mr C sent his insurer a youtube link with helmetcam video of an accident, to support his account of what happened. Unfortunately his youtube channel contained a lot of publicly accessible and rather erm... exuberant clips of his riding, and the insurer cancelled his policy on the grounds that he "no longer fitted into the category of risk that they wanted to insure". Doh!
Travel insurance -
Again, some very sad tales here. Maybe you can rent a motorbike in Vietnam or Mexico without any paperwork, but ordinary holiday insurance won't cover the medical consequences. Mr A, Mr S and Mr & Mrs S all found out the hard way, with huge treatment & repatriation costs which their travel insurance refused to pay for.
Insurers -
I didn't maintain a count, but my impression is that complaints about MCE are much rarer now (maybe they have a smaller market share?). West Bay Insurance are the new, very common name, but it's a Markerstudy brand and their market share is huge. Only one complaint about Carol Nash, none for BeMoto, a couple for BikeSure. The big surprise was Bennetts - a lot of complaints, and some really poor service.
In one case, Mr V successfully brought a complaint against Bennetts for false advertising. He quoted from their website claims of expert support, eg a 24/7 UK-based claims team "to help when you really need it the most". He forced Bennetts to admit they don't have any staff supporting claims, and they just leave their customers to deal with it themselves. Well worth reading this one, the scale of dishonesty is shocking. I used to think Bennetts was a proper biker's insurer, worth paying a little extra for. Not any more.
Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

2024.05.23 23:23 Mr-BitcoinMaxi Node Reaches 18.28% & Stopping Getting Peers

I'm trying to run a full node in my laptop (Asus Vivobook) here are the specs:
Processor 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900H 2.60 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.6 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
And when it reaches a certain point (18.28%) it stops connecting to peers. Exactly at the same block height (440741). I was downloading the blocks into an external hard drive, I thought that was the problem so I deleted everything from it and uninstalled the whole Bitcoin core. I then downloaded it again and started the blockchain synchronization this time directly on the laptop, it has sufficient storage (1tb). However, it has happened exactly the same thing. Here is the debug file:

THESE POSTS ARE SPAM/SCAM. REPORT AND DO NOT INTERACT.
HIYA KWEENS LISTEN UPPP!
So multiple times a week we are getting bots/spam accounts posting variations of these posters. One account will post, and soon after another will ask where they can buy, and then anotherrr account comes in and claims they found where they think OP found it and posts a link where to buy 🙄🙄🙄 and multiple bot accounts will comment how much they love the print as well. We go through every comment and ban anyone who seems like sus spam and appreciate the couple innocent of you who have let us know when you were unaware it was a scam and if we blocked you incorrectly and we have justified those situation by making a note to other mods of potential spam behavior but unblocking with warning. So, all you lovelies... THIS is your official warning and this will be pinned on the sub as it is becoming a multiple times a day situation as of late... ANYONE COMMENTING ABOUT WHERE TO BUY SCAM ART ON SPAM POSTS WILL BE BANISHED FROM THE KLERB AND YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE REPORTED TO REDDIT. We are spending far too much time dealing with this specific scam and understand some of you are frustrated as well. We will also be instilling a zero tolerance policy on fan art outside of a mod made monthly designated thread and ZERO self promotion or sharing of where to purchase fan made art will be tolerated as there is no way for us mods to tell a legit seller from a scam artist. Be safe and smart y'all and always review sub rules before posting! Much love and thank you!!! 💕☮️🍑

Trying to find an article about a team adopting Rust. I think it was a manager writing about it. The key quote that I remember is something to the effect of the quality of code from novice engineers writing Rust was on-par with that of their experienced C++ engineers. Anyone know if/where this article is?

2024.05.23 22:44 MrCuddlez69 At Wit's End

I'm at wit's end here. I'm trying to create an ASP.NET Core Web API with Windows Authentication to my company's internal Active Directory (Non-Azure AD) server. I've researched myself online, and even tried AI assistance and I still am unable to get this to work.
Here's part of my Program.cs file:
using Microsoft.AspNetCore.Authentication.Negotiate; using Microsoft.IdentityModel.Tokens; using System.Text; var builder = WebApplication.CreateBuilder(args); var app = builder.Build(); // Add Services builder.Services.AddAuthentication(NegotiateDefaults.AuthenticationScheme) .AddNegotiate(); builder.Services.AddAuthorization(options => { options.AddPolicy("UserPolicy", policy => policy.RequireRole("MyDomain\\MyAdGroup")); }); builder.Services.AddControllers(); app.UseHttpsRedirection(); app.UseRouting(); app.UseAuthentication(); app.UseAuthorization(); app.MapControllers();
Here is my AuthController.cs:
using Microsoft.AspNetCore.Authentication.Negotiate; using Microsoft.AspNetCore.Authorization; using Microsoft.AspNetCore.Mvc; using Microsoft.Extensions.Configuration; using Microsoft.IdentityModel.Tokens; using System.IdentityModel.Tokens.Jwt; using System.Security.Claims; using System.Text; namespace WindowsRbacApi.Controllers; [ApiController] [Route("api/auth")] public class AuthController : ControllerBase { private readonly IConfiguration _configuration; public AuthController(IConfiguration configuration) { _configuration = configuration; } [Authorize(AuthenticationSchemes = NegotiateDefaults.AuthenticationScheme)] [HttpGet("token")] public IActionResult GetToken() { var user = User.Identity as System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity; var roles = user.Groups .Translate(typeof(System.Security.Principal.NTAccount)) .Select(g => g.Value); var claims = new List { new Claim(JwtRegisteredClaimNames.Sub, User.Identity.Name), new Claim(JwtRegisteredClaimNames.Jti, Guid.NewGuid().ToString()) }; claims.AddRange(roles.Select(role => new Claim(ClaimTypes.Role, role))); var key = new SymmetricSecurityKey(Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(_configuration["Jwt:Key"])); var creds = new SigningCredentials(key, SecurityAlgorithms.HmacSha256); var token = new JwtSecurityToken( issuer: _configuration["Jwt:Issuer"], audience: _configuration["Jwt:Audience"], claims: claims, expires: DateTime.Now.AddMinutes(30), signingCredentials: creds); return Ok(new JwtSecurityTokenHandler().WriteToken(token)); } }
Here is my UserController.cs:
using Microsoft.AspNetCore.Authentication.Negotiate; using Microsoft.AspNetCore.Authorization; using Microsoft.AspNetCore.Mvc; namespace WindowsRbacApi.Controllers; [Authorize(AuthenticationSchemes = NegotiateDefaults.AuthenticationScheme)] [ApiController] [Route("api/[controller]")] public class UserController : ControllerBase { [Authorize(Roles = "MyDomain\\MyAdGroup")] [HttpGet] public IActionResult GetUserData() { return Ok("Hello, User!"); } }
When I deploy this to my local IIS (windows 10 laptop), I receive the error message:

2024.05.23 22:43 Maxus_SpieltHD Memory Debugger Graph not working

I currently use VS 2022 (17.2.3), a few days ago the graphs in my Debugger just stopped existing and I have no way to re-enable them, I can't update because I still need .Net 5 for external reasons and the Installer tells me, that it won't be available afterward, I have tried to "Repair" the installation which didn't help and I tried "deleting/clearing" the cache folder which I put on a custom path some time ago, this only resulted in my debugger bricking entirely. I restarted Visual Studio and my PC countless times, but it still refused to work, does anyone have a solution?
