I am a visual artist, but not making a living from it. That is my dream and goal. My question for this group is about a newsletter I am writing for potential collectors.
I recently asked my small group of followers on FB and IG to join a mailing list. I am now in a bit of a freeze state of what to include in my newsletter, because I'm feeling really low in general, and in my attempt to "make it" as an artist.
My work is dark and deals with mental illness, motherhood, women and nature. Along with including new work I have created, I typed up the following. I'm thinking I probably should not include it. On the other hand, the 35 or so people who have signed up for my newsletter are mostly people I personally know. How do you balance the desire to be honest in your work, and oversharing?
"I’m not sure I will leave this in, as it is a major downer (not the best strategy for your first newsletter), and deeply personal. At the same time, my aim as an artist and in my attempt to connect with other people is to be true and honest.
I have pushed myself to the point where I am making myself sick. I no longer know how to sleep for more than 3-hour stretches, I’m compulsively binging in the middle of the night, I am so out of shape and in pain throughout my entire body, and I avoid people/leaving my house because I carry so much shame around who I have become. My brain is complete mush and I can’t make simple decisions. I am failing as a mother, "housekeeper", partner, artist, human being. The one activity that brings me comfort, peace, and hope is the one thing that is “extra” and needs to be cut out so I can prioritize my children and my health.
My coping mechanism after having my surprise third child at 45 was to keep pushing myself as hard as possible so I could carve out a few minutes here and there in the studio. It became my obsession and led to more sleep loss and a lack of self-care. Add one more painting, one more competition, one more show. As long as I had an art goal in sight, I could keep going.
After delivering 18 new works I completed in 45 days Gallery, I told my husband I would stop pursuing art so I could be more present as a mom/partner. Now all of the overwhelming thoughts of worthlessness, shame, and guilt have too much space in my brain. That was the purpose of staying too busy.
But something has to give. I truly am at my breaking point. I’ve been striving to take short daily walks, tidy up the house a bit more, remember to shower every few days, and brainstorm ways to eat healthier."
Also, does anyone know of a mom-art sub? Thanks to anyone willing to leave helpful feedback. I appreciate it.

Hi all - strap in lol..
I (23M) had been seeing a girl (22F) for around 9 months and we became official just touching 7 months ago..
At the beginning, everything was pretty good and I was happy. Around March this year, her effort dramatcially decreased. There were a few red flags that I admittedly ignored such as a promiscuous past ( not necassarily a red flag in itself but she was pretty vocal about it which I'll get to ), me being her first boyfriend and from what I could gather, the first guy to treat her well.
For the duration of the 9 months, she didn't plan one single date, she did not get me anything for Valentines day or our 6 month anniversary, when I asked her to join me and my family for dinner for an important milestone in my life ( 1 year sober ) she did not make the effort to be there as she was " too tired " . I got her a nice photo of the two of us framed for our 6 months which she hadn't even bothered to unwrap up to the last time I saw her which was less than a week ago..
I planned every date, paid for 98% percent of them, planned and paid for two holidays which I wouldn't mind doing had she shown effort in other ways.. Like at the beginning, she would make the effort to call me every night which was more than enough for me to know she cared. I'm not a needy bloke, I didn't need gifts and to be wined and dined but something so simple as the phone calls was good for me, but that faded around February..
Things really started to look bleek around the time of our second Holiday which was the beginning of last month. She had been out drinking the night before and told me the next day she had a guy from her class pour liquour into her mouth which personally for me, was a boundary crossed that I foolishly ignored. Then, one of the nights on holiday, while drunk, she decided to show me a list she had kept in her notes app of all her past sexual partners and even went as far to tell me how big one of the guys dicks was (upon reflection I should've left her there and then).
Now, don't get me wrong, she was not a demon. She had many moments of showing affection and care, she bought me some nice clothes for Christmas and my birthday aswell as other small but thoughtful gifts and often used to keep my favorite drinks in the fridge for when I came over. But for the mostpart, the effort was just not there and would frequently go hours without snapping me back, and often times wouldn't start an actual verbal conversation ever and there wouldn't be one if I didn't start one..
I brought up the lack of effort to her 3 or 4 times and and told her, if she just wasn't into me it was fine and we could call it quits, but we needed to communicate. Each time she would cry, maintain that she loved me, she wanted me in her life and wanted to be with me. She is super focused on her studies and I told her I totally get it and that I don't expect to come first, and don't want much, but something so simple as the nightly phone call was enough for me to know she cared. Each time she told me she would try and do better but nothing ever changed.
So, this Sunday gone, I couldn't do it anymore and initiated a break up. Once she saw I was serious she kind of scrambled to make it mutual, but I inititated it and I don't think she had intented to finish with me any time soon. I told her nothing has changed and I don't see it changing, she told me she doesn't feel she can give me what I need (which is not very much) or deserve. She said she loves me still and probably always will. The last thing I said to her was, I will miss you, I am thankful for the times we shared, wished her the best of luck with her studies and the rest of her time in my country ( she's not from here) and goodbye. I have since entered a period of no contact with her.
I also don't believe there was another guy on the scene, she was never secretive with her phone and always left her location on, which I never checked as I found that to be unhealthy, but her wilingness to leave it on was fairly reassuring in that regard.
The reason I am conflicted is because, I don't believe she saw it ending and I do believe she had genuine feelings for me, but I couldn't allow myself be disrespected and taken for granted any longer for my own sanitys sake.
What I'm asking is, given it ended amicably, is it hopeless to think that she will realise what she lost and come back and make an effort, or is it dead in the water.. Afterall, even though I ended it, I am in love with her and am finding the no contact incredibly difficult although have no intention of breaking it.
I find it hard to believe she is able to let someone who did and cared so much for her go that easily, but am also aware life is cruel and unforgiving..
I'd really like some non biased opinions on this.. Thanks!

I have made a list of things that I think need to be improved, changed or fixed based on my in-game experience. Please note that these are just my *opinions* and feel free to explain why (if) you disagree in the comments or share your own suggestions. Some of them may be already present in the game. Sorry if I missed. Try not to downvote to hell just because you don't like a single article :D

Suggestions:

1. Click-and-drag scrolling for easier navigation through the game menus.
2. Photo mode that allows players to hide the HUD, perfect for capturing those heroic moments.
3. Simpler notifications: Relocate objective and mission completion notifications to the top of the screen and minimize them to reduce screen clutter. It is hard to aim for weak spots when you are playing at high difficulty and have a big wall of text in the middle of your screen.
4. Help: Add a “Help” voice command to the Q radial menu wheel. + more&new commands?
5. Crosshair: Option to hide the aiming reticle/crosshair because it simply doesn’t help at all when you have another round crosshair in the middle that shows where your shots actually go. It also blocks the view for long range aiming.
6. Hiding nameplates / Streamer mode: Option to toggle player names.
7. Equipment preview: Armor and helmets should be shown as sets when you hover your mouse over them or choose them instead of the default diver armohelmet. OR previewing a helmet shouldn’t change the player's armor to the default and show the current set that the player has equipped and vice versa for previewing armor.
8. SOS Beacon don't show up on the stratagem menu when your team doesn't have 4 players or after a player leaves the mission.
9. Versatile Jump Packs: Allow the use of primary or secondary weapons with jump packs. Also, a superhero landing pose if you hold down B while landing airborne with the jump pack.
10. Increased jump distance or jump height for jump packs slightly.
11. Super Punisher: Add a flashlight to the Punisher shotgun and some other primary/support weapons that do not have them, so divers can shed light on the darkest enemies of our way of life.
12. Standardize weapon ergonomics: Some primary weapons handle like autocannon while some handle like a pocket gun.
13. Delay on EAT: Sometimes EAT do not fire after you equip and aim it. I try to fire a few times and nothing happens.
14. Arc Thrower & Blitzer: Lightning arcs should damage Terminid eggs. Don't make their arcs jump between the eggs if you think it would be OP, but being able to kill a charger with an arc thrower and yet failing to destroy a smoll egg is kinda lame.
15. Booster Icons: Add booster icons next to team stratagem list that show up when you press CTRL, so we can see what our fellow divers chose to bring.
16. Shield Generator Relay: Sometimes explosions happening outside will kill, stagger or damage the player standing inside the shield. Outside explosions should have much less or no effect on player.
17. Bile Titans tanking Hellpods: Sometimes -almost always lol- Titans don't take any damage, get staggered or die even if you land directly on their head or body with a hellpod.
18. Improved Incendiaries: Prolong the burn time of incendiary grenades for a few more seconds. They seem to go out before they even kill anything or deny an entry.
19. Convenient Flamethrower: Remove the movement speed penalty of firing the flamethrower OR increase the flamethrower’s range by 3-5 meters. Enemies mostly start to attack you, as soon as they enter the range of your flamethrower already. If you believe first option would be unbalanced, then you can make it only avaliable for armors with speed stats above +520
20. Improve Patriot Exosuit: Fix the aiming and accuracy of the Patriot Exosuit missiles. Also, we need much better gun&pod elevation and depression for a 10 minute cooldown stratagem imo.
21. Fall damage variation: Fall damage needs to differ between armor sets that you have equipped. Players with light armor should take less damage. However, if you want to give another advantage to heavy armor sets, then you can make heavy armors decrease/negate fall damage to some extent because they would be more protective etc.
22. Fire effects rework: I don’t know if it is just how it seemed to me instead of how it works but fire effects from napalms, grenades etc. only create flames that are scattered around instead of a big strong wall/pool of fire. These flames make it easier to walk around or through them for enemies and take less damage inside the affected area. I think everything inside a circular radius needs to take constant fire damage. Idk how to explain this better. Sorry if it is already how it works.

Did we do it?
Working, raising kids, running a household. I can barely do anything....it's hard. I've got to plan around my body and whatever it's going through that day.
Ladies and Gentlemen...how in the Fu€k did we get do much done?
I used to work full time, run the household and all that entails (my husband had to learn how to clean and cook 🙄 and I love him but he sucks at both, no wonder I'm so skinny). I had a part time gig as well.
I mowed the lawn most of the time. An acre and a half. I have 2 huge raised vegetable gardens...22' X 22' ....and did it by myself I'd like to add.
I did most of the landscaping, hired most of the contractors (married to one and yes he doesn't do it for our home, unfortunately) . Dealt with repair people, snaked stuck drains and toilets myself, as well as changed a faucet.
Clean the upholstery, carpet every year. Cleaned the oven, the appliances, windows, woodwork.
Decluttered everyone's closets, drawers. The dusting, cleaning the floors, the bathrooms (3) . All the laundry. All the shopping. All the cooking with a couple of exceptions.
Took care of each of my grandkids while my daughter worked (and I was doing my second job).
All the birthday's, holiday shopping and decorating. The strong woman in my clan who everyone comes to for help.
I'm exhausted typing this out.
We aren't rich, and we live "close to the vest". I'm a saver. So I "do it myself" like a lot of women. And that includes what is typically "a man's work".
Truth is I was raised more like a boy, and I was my father's right hand "man" lol. I regret nothing. I learned how to tear a motor apart and rebuild it.
I made my own tools, back in the stone age with old toothpaste tubes. Did carpentry. Plumbing. All the painting...I've painted the inside now 4X in 37 years.
People, my family are either spoiled or out of their minds.
Please help me. I know you don't think cleaning is important, but it is. Look at what the house looks like from the last year .....holy hell. It's disgusting. That's what happens when momma has cancer.
You'd think at least they'd be neater and cleaner.
I spent 3 hours scrubbing the master bath ..and you come in and leave toothpaste blobs all over the counter and floor. C'mon. It feels disrespectful, and I'm getting pissed at you people.

I have two rescue kitties and I am having a hard time figuring out how much to be feeding them. The internet has a lot of mixed information on the topic and I'm wondering if I am doing something wrong? I have BMO who is the runt of her litter so she is pretty petite and I have Rhombus who is my big orange boy cat. Currently I have been feeding them half a 3oz can in the morning and half at night, which seems like it has been fine for BMO, however, my orange cat has a tendency to get into our trash cans and has been getting into human food and I'm wondering if I am under feeding him or if this is behavior he has picked up from being a rescue as he was pretty food insecure when we first got him. Just for some additional info I have been feeding them the Tiki cat after dark and they both seem to really enjoy it :) any advise would be appreciated!!

I (40 Bi) dated my ex (37 M) from 2004 to 2009. He left me for another woman he had only known for a month. Needless to say, it was a messy breakup. I’m ashamed to admit it, but I was suicidal. I had to seek professional help and be given antidepressants. When he came to his senses, he tried to win me back, but I had already moved on by then. I am now in a 14-year same-sex relationship and at a happy place in my life.
Last night, while browsing Facebook, I came across a name on my list of suggested friends that caught my attention. It was “Jzyne Addanice” with my ex’s last name. It was an account made for a baby girl, not one year of age. My ex and I no longer have connections except for one common friend on Facebook. I did a little digging and found out the account was for my ex’s daughter, as I had assumed since the baby bore a striking resemblance to him.
To be clear, given that our breakup was more than 15 years ago, I am totally over my ex. Even yet, I still hadn't moved past the fact that he abandoned me for a woman he hardly knew. However, I genuinely don't care if he ends up having three dozen kids. What upsets me is that he took “our” baby name, Jann Adanice, tweaked the spelling, and named his daughter it. We were pretty serious, and Jann Adanice (J for my name, Ad for his name) was a name I came up with for our future baby when the time came.
I don't want children anymore, and at 40, I don't have any other than my fur babies. Still, I find it offensive that he took our baby's name which has a personal significance and gave it to the child of another woman. AITA for being upset over this?

I have tried an tried and tried from 11th grad till my 2nd year of Btech to just have some epic academic comeback. But the problem is that i just am never able to do it..
Its just a different reason every time, sometimes its phone distracting me sometimes its my obsession with sports and sometimes its movies and tv shows. And even if i do manage to sit down and study the initial stages of studying without the pressure of a deadline seem to be very very difficult. The concepts never come to me in one go. Some concepts seem to easy and hence become boring and some things seem so hard that it demotivates me for the rest of the session. I am never able to execute my study schedules.....
I just completed my second year end term and i may have a few backs. I expected this since my academics have slacked of in the last year. However i will once again make a list of things to change in my life, such as wake up early, do some coding daily, go to the fucking gym study the syllabus in advance, etc..
This wont be the first or my last time giving myself false hopes again. And now i have expected myself to fail again miserably in the next two months.
Is there anyone who was a below average or average student, then just changed their academic status in one single semester or something. I have frankly never seen such examples ever in my life. From what i have noticed after studying in the same school for all my life, the students who were generally good academically in 2nd or 3rd grade remain to be the so called toppers forever. I have never ever seen someone go form average or below to top notch scholar ever,
The fact that hurts me the most is that i try, I genuinely sacrifice my social life, my outings etc., to be able to study....however there are people who engage all sorts of entertainment like clubbing and sports and seem to breeze through college. Furthermore i have no technical skills. All my coding knowledge is limited to the algorithms taught in class while here are people who have been coding since 5th grade and know 8-9 languages.
Has anyone here ever had that transition that i have been trying for the past 5 to 6 years. How did you do it, please batao. How do i go from being a nobody to someone who has the skillset that are at least the bare minimum to become hirable.

OK, I recently started to create a complete listing of all the magic spells in my campaign world, with all the rules I have made about them. (yes, I don't currently have a group playing and I am bored, this is just part of how I am dealing with it)
So creating the list is not hard, and my notes about rulings are complete enough to do it.
But I wanted some flavor text for the start of each chapter. I have it broken down by cantrips, then all spell levels, 1-10.(10th level are hunted down by the god of magic. So to say they are limited is a good start)
But I can't seem to get a good flavor text for them.. A bit of writers block I think. Would love some help, maybe something I can jump off from? Any ideas?

There is a stereotype I have seen of infjs in stories, whether it be a movie or a book, etc... That infjs are highly motivated individuals. Of course, stories do not portray real life infjs. But do you relate to it? The spectrum can go from the most popular charming kind to the wallflower nerd geek or basically invisible or some kind of genius, secret or not. I've also seen that we can either be the greatest evil of all existence or a driven force f good. We are either a psychopath or that we have the Martyr complex. I don't know why they portray infjs like that in fiction. But I want to understand if this is what infjs are like in real life. The only infj I know is myself, so It's hard to know if what another infj would be behave. I've only analyzed fictional ones.
To provide a better understanding of what characters I have seen, I will type a list of characters.

I have some serious health problems with my gut and the past maybe 2-3 months I’ve developed what seems to be myclonic seizures that happen more often when I’m sleep deprived, get bad sleep, or eat the wrong thing. It mostly happens in my hands. My hand or 1-2 of my fingers will twitch hard accompanied by an uncomfortable sensation like an electric shock or like my nerve is being pitched for a split second or something. It happens very often. Countless times per hour usually but it does stop every once in a while. My thumb has twitched and tapped the keyboard several times while writing this.
But this also seems to be happening to my eyes but like with my vision, my eyes aren’t twitching. Basically my vision is just blanking for a fraction of a second. It’s not going black cause it happens so fast but I can tell my vision is being interrupted. Usually it only happens to my eyes when I have these days where I wake up extremely groggy and have a high heart rate.
I’ve never seen this listed as a symptom of myclonic seizures though, has anyone else experienced this?
EDIT: also I guess it’s kinda happening to my brain too I should’ve mentioned that. Like when it happens to my eyes my mind also blanks and it’s like I forget where I am for a split second.

Does anyone have any information or experience getting a Restraining Order - Do Not Disturb against your child's other parent?
I am just wondering how this works.
After two separate incidents when I have been alone with my ex-husband I've been berated and antognized. So I am going to file for an updated parenting plan to request all child exchanges be done at the police station. In the forms there is an option to request a Restraining Order - Do not disturb - "not to disturb my peace or the peace of any child listed in 3" to be added to the order.
If I get approved for this, how does communication/exchanges work with him? We have 50/50 custody, with our current schedule, we hardly see each other. Our child exchange is through daycare, i.e. I drop off in the morning, on his days, he'll pick up. There are just a few days a year where there are in person exchanges.
I've already had an expensive divorce, I'm trying to get this done pro se. I'm going to get an appointment with the county facilitator to get paperwork in order. I just need to know if it's worth pursuing the Restraining Order or just stick to changing the drop off/pick up location.
