Cory woke to a beep on his communicator. Jacky grumbled softly beside him but did not wake as he slipped from her grasp and walked to his console. It was an alert from the night shift, it had been weeks since his mission in the K’Claram home system. Captain Collins was no longer assigned to them, but Cory had still made the descision to stalk the freighter they put a tracker on during that mission. He shadowed them deep into the up spin territory of what was once Unity space. He was deep behind enemy lines, and he was but one ship. He had made a promise, however; but up until now, the vessel he pursued seemed to be visiting exclusively heavily protected systems.

This message changed that. Their target was headed to the marsh world of the invertebrate species known as the Mauk’Lur. The Cephalopod species shared this world with a Terrestrial Snail like species, the Pli’Lur and their common last syllable had given rise to the Common name for the planet. “Lurix” had also become home to many Unity species that required higher moister environments. Siraf, K’Claram, as well as the Gecko like species Gireken all called this planet home, but it had no tactical or industrial usage that Cory could remember. What it did provide was an opportunity. Lurix circled a weak red dwarf star in a two-planet system that had become one planet in history lost. The outer planet, thought of as Luska, had been destroyed in a twist of bad luck long before most Unity races had achieved, or been gifted space travel. Her fragments had slowly expanded, englobing the small system in sensor scattering fragments, some as large as a S.O.L. It was a perfect ambush point, even if The Olyvia would have to take on a pair of escorting warships.

That was the second thing that changed. Their prey had received new handlers. This deep into “safe territory”, and transiting trough a chaotic interstellar debris field. Two frontier brigs were assigned to escort duty. If Olyvia was to take her first prize, this was to be the opportunity. Cory spent the next few hours of the early morning brushing up on the system, drafting a plan, and sending off the notification in a tight beam transmission to a predetermined set of coordinates that one of the Privateer ships was to be at all times. The coordinates were rotational, and each vessel traded out this duty. Olyvia was next on the rotation once he finished this mission.

Many Admirals would have demanded a request for permission to engage in a mission, but Admiral Grarzia was… different. Much to Cory’s chagrin, and Jacky’s amusement, “Mackenzie’s Privateers” had stuck. And Mac chose to wield his fleet very much like a loose consortium of Privateers. Cory was required to check in, and he was required to follow some basic rotations to give his crew and others both opportunity and rest. Aside from that, He merely needed to submit a location of operation and a plan. By default, all plans were approved unless a captain received a response within a standard day. This was because of the wide swath of the void that all the captains operated in. Any longer of a response time risked missed opportunities, and Mac prioritized Autonomy and swiftness of action over standardized procedure.

Cory finished his report and que’d it for the next transmission as a priority… just in time for a soft hand to brush his shoulder. Jackie slipped around his chair, sitting on his lap to face him as she kissed him good morning, “You’re up early.” She whispered.

“Hmm, good morning to you.” Cory smiled down at her. “The freighter is on the move; we have a window.”

“OH?” Jackies voice was husky, and she slowly picked at the buttons of the shirt he had thrown on to stay warm at his desk. “And that was so important you had to get out of bed?” she asked, freeing the top few buttons. She leaned in to nip at his neck and slip her hands inside his shirt. Cory felt her body heat as she fully released his shirt and pressed herself up against him.
“Hmmm” Cory mused, running light fingertips up and down her flanks. “When you ask it like this… we’ll be late for our shifts.” He rumbled back down at her, grabbing her hips to pull her closer to him.

“Then what are you waiting for” Jacky smirked, arching her back and pulling herself up to kiss him fiercely, eliciting a possessive growl from Cory as he met her lips with his.

Kar’s tail threatened to obliterate the second chair in as many days. The loss of the Vorath Cruiser… to pirates no less… threatened to land a serious blow to the alliance between His people and their Vorath Allies. He was currently in transit back to the mother world for the beginning of what the Vorath called “Phase 1”. His flag, the Thermian made Battle Cruiser named “Vengeful Maw”, was escorted by her sister ship “Blooded Claw” and three escort destroyers with names Kar did not bother remembering.

Phase 1 was claimed to be the beginning of the Thermian genetic enhancement program. Their Vorath allies were taking genetic samples of a wide swath of the Thermian population to begin designing their future. Kar was returning to give his own sample, as well as attend a few discussions regarding the war effort, and what comes after. Giving the Vorath this much control over his people’s very existence was as unsettling as it was necessary, but it would not always be so.

The shift in the Hum of the vessel broke Kar from his musings as the fleet entered the mother system, and he stepped out of his working office and took the short walk to the bridge. The desert world of his birth appeared as a distant tan dot, the second of four worlds that orbited a bright yellow star. Theirs was one of the largest systems in the Unity, and it was well defended by two full battle groups and a quintuplet of heavily armed orbital station. The Thermian admiral listened to the flurry of activity and communications as his fleet was cleared into the system. It would be another 6 hours at sub light speeds until they reached orbit. Kar settled into his seat on the bridge, preparing for the days to come.

A flash of blinding light flared through the observation windows of the bridge. Almost instantly, an alarm Klaxon blared, and a massive impact shook Kar’s flagship. Main power failed almost instantly, and a second alarm began wailing. Kar grabbed his suits controls, activating the Helmet. His suit was more advanced than the average crewman’s, loaded with Nanite Tech from their Vorath benefactors. His helmet automatically deployed and encapsulated his snout as many around him clambered to put on their helmets as the bridge began to rapidly decompress. Half of his crew got their helmets on in time, Kar was grabbed physically by the captain of the ship, and the two of them, accompanied by three other bridge crew struggled out of the bridge and down the corridor. A pair of bulkheads ruptured into fragments, scything their way through the group. The surviving helmsman had his left arm torn off before the same shard removed the captain’s head from his shoulders. Kar growled into his mic as a smaller shard embedded itself in his tail. The hall in front of them began belching flame and plasma as the stricken warship groaned beneath him, but they had reached their destination.

One of the surviving crewmen keyed in the code to the panel, activating the doors to the emergency lifeboat, and began waving the admiral in. Kar stepped through with a nod and turned to aid the last surviving member of the bridge crew just as, yet another violent secondary explosion threw him to the floor of the small escape craft. The crewman seemed to stare in shock down the hallway before slowly turning to face his commander. The young Thermian gave the admiral a crisp Thermian naval salute with one hand, and slapped the controls with the other, sealing Kar alone inside the lifeboat. Kar could only look on as the Crewman, still holding the salute, was incinerated by a wall of plasma just before the lifeboats auto launch sequence activated. Kar was thrown to the floor a second time as the explosive bolts blew, and the thrusters fired. The 15-seat escape boat, with a sole Thermian admiral inside, rocketed away as Kar stood, pressing against the portholes. Kar’s helmet deactivated in the repressurized atmosphere of the lifeboat. Through the pressure tested circular window, Kar received his first glimpses of what happened. His Flag ship was in three pieces, and he could see long curved shards protruding from at least two of those fragments. One shard, near the bridge, flickered with the half destroyed main drive thruster of a conspicuously absent destroyer. Kar let out a hiss of shock, unable to do anything but watch as the debris field slowly expanded over the next several minutes before a second flash, this one striking His flags sistership directly amidships, blinded him for a moment. The impact completely ignored its raised shields, pealing the warship apart as jets of plasma flared through widening seams. The pressure spike from the interior atmosphere being instantly heated to a plasma finished the job. It tore the hull asunder in a violent expansion of lethal confetti that sliced one of the fragments of Kar’s once flagship in two. A second shard of the Blooded Claw speared one of the surviving destroyers bow on, and the stricken vessel began a slow uncontrolled corkscrew as her main power failed, and her thrusters fluttered and flickered in asymmetric power. Kar took a few steps backward, sitting heavily on one of the seats as the lifeboat began an excruciatingly slow burn towards the nearest surviving warship.

The Thermian home system’s last planet from its star was not alone. Her unanticipated companions had drifted in under minimal power. They spent over a week there, hidden from detection as they mapped the solar winds, magnetic variances, and gravitational profiles of the system. They had been nearly discovered on three occasions during that time, but the Patrols were seen, and dodged, long before they arrived. They worked as a pair, sniper and spotter. profiles and shooting solutions were ranged, analyzed, refined, and then reanalyzed again. The Intel proved their effort unwasted, and their target appeared on schedule and location. The Thermian fleet sailed calmly into kill zone bracketed by the drones launched from the USN Kid. Her post repair upgrades had given her a few new toys to play with, including the tight beam transmitting Autonomous drones that she had used to map the system, and provide final shot telemetry.

The shot was novel, attempting to target an individual vessel at Intersolar distances instead of simply interplanetary ones, and this was the first attempt. USN Kid played spotter in the final moments before firing, feeding final calculations to her counterpart. USN Simo loosed her first round, her target half a star system away. She failed to hit her primary target, the Thermian flag ship, but instead obliterated the destroyer closest to her. The impact turned the smaller warship into a massive fragmentation grenade whose blast caused the flagship to break apart. The first shot gave the final pieces of information needed to refine the targeting solution, and Simo’s second shot struck the second battle cruiser without error.

A sturdy clunk betrayed USN Simo’s main hull’s return to battery. Her capacitors were well into the Yellow, incapable of firing a third shot; but the mission had always been two rounds. Her Captain nodded in satisfaction as the Vulkan powered down, “Secure stations, Signal The Kid. It is time.” was all he said. USN Simo, with two destroyers already painted on her hull, pivoted on her maneuvering thrusters. USN Kidd slipped into formation with her as they fired up their main drives for the burn to slipspace.
“One for the record books, sir?” The first officer asked cordially, and the Captain smiled.

“I’ll be sure to add it to the log, XO.” He mused just as the bright flare of slipspace betrayed their jump from the system.

Mac and Lyrian shared a private morning breakfast in their quarters aboard USN Wisconsin. Both had recovered from their scuffle with their unanticipated guests, but the mood was still somber. The information from Captain Hera’s first prize had shed light on the final events of their particular battle. The Vorath were obviously keeping armed squads, acting as jailers and executioners, aboard the enslaved Delmar vessels. It had become clear that upon the destruction of the two escorts, that the Vorath on the freighter had forced a self-destruct. They had murdered themselves as well as every living being upon that freighter for the sake of denying their victims freedom.

It was a gruesome reminder of the character of their foe and had hit Lyrian particularly hard. She had felt what Mac had felt when they were used as “human shields” as he called them. They had fought, bled, and nearly died to deny the enemy the satisfaction of forcing Concord to kill the freighter. It felt all for nothing, all those souls were dead anyway, forced to watch in terror down to their last moments of existence.

Mac reached over, placing a hand unobtrusively on Lyri’s leg, “A bheil thu gu math, a ghràidh (Are you well, love?)”

Lyrian smiled at his use of his old tongue, “Bidh mi, mu dheireadh thall (I will be, eventually.).” she responded, forcing herself to take another bite of food. Her appetite wasn’t in it, but now was not the time to be less than 100 percent. “Feumaidh sinn dòigh a lorg gus an sàbhaladh an ath thuras. (we must find a way to save them next time).”

Mac squeezed her leg once before returning to his own food, “nì sinn, a-nis gu bheil fios againn ... nì sinn.(We will, now that we know… we will.).” He took a bite of his toasted bread and switched back from Scott’s Gaelic. “Hera, Clint, Jake, and the rest have the reports now. We will find a way to get around it. I even sent a copy of the report to Johansen, along with the spec’s for most of the common Freighter models.”

Lyrian sighed, “I hope so. What is the word on Traveler and her prize?”

Mac swallowed a bite of food, “Traveler took very little damage, she should be exiting slip space at the library in a few weeks. We aren’t quite sure what their speed will be, and we are keeping radio silence just in case.” He picked up a mug of steaming black coffee, chuckling at the face Lyrian made as he sipped it.
She playfully scowled at him, “You know kissing you after you drink that still gives me the jitters.”

Mac said nothing, grinning as he took a second, more purposeful sip from his mug. His amused expression smoothed as a new ping rang at the console near him. He turned from their shared breakfast, opening the urgently marked file, “Looks like your brother is getting aggressive. He’s in deep.”
Lyrian pulled her chair over to his, her food forgotten, “Gods, why did he choose there. It’s a death trap…” she pulled up a duplicate of the file to her pad and began ripping it apart, “This is too risky, I don’t like it.” She flicked a portion of the file back to Mac. “They won’t be able to get out easily, I don’t think this is a good…” Lyrian looked up.

“Love, for this to work, I have to trust my captains. We must trust Cory’s decision. His Intel is credible. His plan is well thought out. and we don’t have anyone else close enough.” Mac pulled her close, resting her head on his shoulder, “I know, I know… It’s harder when it’s family. I hate it too.” Mac looked over at another beep on the console, “I take it back. I might have some backup available for Cory.”

Lyrian raised an eyebrow at the satisfaction boiling from Mac as he opened the file to share, and Mac could feel here surprised shock then stunned silence as the data that accompanied the engagement logs registered, “This cant be right…” She looked up at Mac, “Are you serious? 1.2 billion Clicks? How is that possible?”

Mac’s chuckle became a laugh, “More math than I want to think about. We won’t know if the Their admiral survived. We barely missed the direct hit on the flag ship. But considering the distance….”

Lyrian snorted loudly, “ I’m not sure what is luckier. The shot, or the admiral’s survival. Do know who the bastard that glassed the capital is yet?”

Mac shrugged, “No clue, yet.”

With the copy of the FIR, you'll take a deep breath of hope that something can happen and will look for assurances from the many police vaalas in the police station and look for support from your family.
Reaching home, your next few days will be full of you refreshing your find my phone app and hoping you get something. You will indeed see a little ray of hope and see a random location either of Meerut (or somewhere else in UP) or if lucky... Shahdara will pop up and it will keep changing places in a particular km radius. Excited you may call the cops or ask them if anything can happen but they will tell you how dangerous the area is or they cant get the exact location or the phone may have been sold already and nothing can be done because they wont get permits. My location was marked of Shahdara and so did of many others and when I we called that very police station they said they cant do anything. Delhi main koi bhi phone chori hota hai.. chahe Central Delhi ho ya South Delhi, saare phone yahi jaate hai. How that much money was lost, who was involved, and whether it was outright theft, is the subject of debate and speculation. But Waves founder Aleksandr Ivanov has vowed to help them get their money back.
Now, DL News has unearthed information that raises questions about Ivanov’s own role in the debacle.
Interviews with 15 former Waves Labs staff and depositors, along with court documents, on-chain data, and Ivanov’s own tweets, cast light on a mystery that has long confounded the Waves community: What happened to the half-a-billion dollars worth of assets that were lost on Vires Finance, a lending protocol on the Waves blockchain?
Waves situation was a ‘farce’
“What astounds me most about the situation is that it all happened without any headlines, let alone anyone being held accountable,” said Bendt O, a Vires Finance user who claimed to DL News that he lost hundreds of thousands of dollars on the protocol.
Bendt O, who asked to use only an initial for his surname to protect his identity, said he believes the episode was a “farce” that rivals both the collapse of crypto exchange FTX and the crash in the tokens TerraUSD and LUNA last year.
Angry Vires Finance depositors have been scouring blockchain transaction data to get to the bottom of what happened to their assets. Some have placed the blame on Ivanov himself.
On-chain data analysed by DL News suggests that Ivanov may be behind the wallets that were involved in the extraction of the funds. Ivanov’s personal wallet sent and received millions of stablecoins to and from another wallet connected to the suspicious transactions, according to the data (Ivanov told onlookers about this personal wallet publicly in a Vires Finance governance proposal).
Ivanov has strongly denied he had any hand in engineering the transactions that led to losses on Vires.
“It’s all allegations and rumours with no proofs,” he told DL News over Telegram.
The Waves fiasco is an object lesson in the complexity and opaqueness of decentralised finance. A series of stablecoin transactions in 2022 are at the heart of the matter. It’s widely accepted, even by Ivanov, that they pumped the value of the Waves blockchain’s native token, WAVES, to a peak of almost $5.5 billion in market value a year ago.

The surge was caused by the repeated borrowing and selling of funds from Vires Finance over a two-month period, which eventually left investors holding hundreds of millions of dollars in bad debt. The WAVES token has plunged some 95% since its record high last year.
Among those pointing a finger at Ivanov: Avraham Eisenberg, better known for the $116 million exploit targeting Solana DeFi protocol Mango Markets. He sued Ivanov in a US federal court last year, accusing him of running a “bait-and-switch scam,” and a “global Ponzi scheme.”
Ivanov has not yet filed a response to Eisenberg’s lawsuit but has repeatedly denied wrongdoing and dismissed Eisenberg and other critics as “trolls.”
Waves in the vanguard
As the crypto bull market picked up steam in early 2021, numerous projects challenged Ethereum for supremacy. There was Solana, Terra, and Avalanche, each offering an array of services and products such as token exchanges, lending platforms, and stablecoins.
In 2021, deposits, or total value locked, in DeFi protocols multiplied 11 times, to $166 billion, according to DefiLlama.
Ivanov wanted Waves in the vanguard. Similar to Do Kwon’s Terra, Ivanov constructed Waves as a DeFi ecosystem complete with an algorithmic stablecoin, USDN, and a lending protocol, Vires Finance. And the blockchain had its own native coin — WAVES.
Crazy profitable
That September, Ivanov touted the Waves ecosystem as “crazy profitable” and urged investors to “jump in before the imminent influx of thousands of new users.”
“Waves wants your liquidity, really thirsty for it,” Ivanov tweeted. “APY’s for stable coins are 30-70% now!”
Like so many lending ventures in DeFi, this was a high-risk, high-return proposition. Yet there were plenty of takers for the offer. By the end of the first quarter in 2022, investors had ploughed more than $1.2 billion worth of crypto into Vires Finance.
But as user deposits ballooned, a web of wallets started withdrawing those funds. These wallets put up USDN as collateral to borrow widely used stablecoins — user-deposited USDC, which is issued by Circle, and USDT, issued by Tether.
The catch was that USDN was an algorithmic stablecoin backed by Waves’ own token, and not the US dollar. By exchanging USDN for the dollar-backed Circle and Tether stablecoins, the wallets were swapping USDN for stronger assets.
Massive transfer
As a result, there was a massive transfer of value from depositors to this web of wallets over February and March 2022. This, in turn, caused the virtual failure of the Vires lending venture when the value of the USDN plummeted and left depositors saddled with over $530 million in bad debt.
In numerous Twitter threads and podcast appearances, Ivanov acknowledged the problem and the bad debt, but he lashed out at critics who suggested he had something to do with it.
“You stupid fuck lol,” he tweeted in reply to one of his challengers in July. “Having trolls like you is like having no trolls at all, all the stuff you post is 100% off the mark.”
A lot of manipulation’
Ivanov, who is believed to be living in Dubai, has long said Waves’ $530 million snafu was caused by unidentified players. In a July podcast, he said “somebody” tried to pump the price of WAVES and then others tried to short it. “There was a lot of manipulation but it wasn’t us actually,” he said.
“You think it’s us that pumped waves? If someone made profits, it was not us,” Ivanov told DL News over Telegram in March.
Ivanov declined to answer other questions for this article. “I provided the answers to most of those questions many times publicly,” Ivanov said, without elaborating. DL News could not establish where and when he made those public comments.

A pseudonymous Twitter user called 0xHamz was among the first to publicly challenge Ivanov, first in a thread in April 2022, and then directly through Twitter Spaces, an online audio forum.
0xHamz claimed Ivanov and other Waves insiders used Vires Finance customer funds to pump the WAVES token price.
On March 31, 0xHamz posted a since-deleted Twitter thread where he accused Waves of being the “biggest Ponzi in crypto” and that Waves insiders had used USDC and USDT deposits on Vires Finance to orchestrate a “massive supply squeeze.”
Borrowed money
“It is being propped up by borrowed money,” 0xHamz said. “There is no organic activity. Just look at the transaction count over time.”
Ivanov called 0xHamz a “troll” and threatened legal action.
But 0xHamz’s accusations spurred a host of anonymous Twitter sleuths to dig further into whether Ivanov was manipulating Waves and Vires Finance.
A Twitter user who goes by the moniker YouAreMyYield said that he had connected Ivanov to a wallet that “siphoned” funds from Vires Finance. Additionally, he pieced together transactions that he believes point to Ivanov being behind wallets that worked together to drain Vires Finance funds. Ivanov denied YouAreMyYield’s allegations.
$5 million purchase
But it was Ivanov himself who provided a clue to developing a fuller picture of what happened on Vires Finance. On April 6, 2022, he tweeted that he had “bought 5 mil cheap $USDN.”
DL News found that virtually the only place to buy such a large quantity of USDN at the time was on Ethereum through the USDN pool on decentralised exchange Curve Finance. There is only one address that made a $5 million purchase of USDN on Curve between April 4 and April 7: an Ethereum wallet with a public key beginning 0x9c0.
Then on April 11, the 0x9c0 address sent $900,121.2811 in USDC from Ethereum to Waves using a token bridge, according to on-chain data. Just over an hour later, that exact amount — $900,121.2811 — left the token bridge and entered a Waves wallet with a key combination beginning with 3PEEs.
No other transactions for this specific amount of USDC were sent through the bridge that day. The timing of Ivanov’s tweet about making a $5 million purchase of USDN and the transfers suggests that he may control the 0x9c0 and 3PEEs wallets.
3PEEs is one of several wallets that borrowed huge numbers of stablecoins from Vires Finance and left depositors holding $530 million of bad debt.
Because wallet owners are anonymous, it isn’t possible to verify who controlled them. Ivanov declined to tell DL News whether he owned the wallets.
Non-payment
A Ukrainian who moved to Russia when he was 17, Ivanov studied physics at Lomonosov Moscow State University before earning a masters degree in Leipzig, Germany. In 2013, Ivanov, who uses the nickname Sasha, launched a crypto exchange called Coinomat.com. The company was registered as Intelligence Unitrade Ltd in the British Virgin Islands in 2010, and was struck off five years later for “non-payment of annual fees,” according to official records.
The firm popped up in London a couple of years later with a new name — Elite Way Development, which was held by two shell companies registered in the Seychelles, records show. The company was removed from the UK Register at Companies House in 2019.
By 2016, Ivanov had started Waves, which aimed to be an alternative to Ethereum. Ivanov had also spun up a private enterprise blockchain called Vostok, and in 2019 raised $120 million from investors, bestowing the startup with a $1.2 billion valuation.
In July 2019, Ivanov sold the Vostok brand for an undisclosed sum to GHP Financial Group, a wealth management firm led by Mark Garber, a financier in the Russian investment community.
“The priority was and remains the international development of the Waves Platform to create the next generation of the internet with smart, decentralised services running on the blockchain,” Ivanov said in a statement at the time.
A lucrative loop
In a July podcast with London Real, Ivanov explained how a complex looping mechanism drained Vires investor’s funds. After swapping WAVES tokens for the algorithmic dollar-pegged USDN, wallets deposited the stablecoins into Vires Finance as collateral to support borrowing other stablecoins deposited by investors, such as USDC and USDT.
Next, 3PEEs and other wallets sent the stablecoins to Binance, an exchange where customers can buy and sell crypto and also off-ramp funds to bank accounts via fiat currencies.
Although sending the funds to a centralised exchange breaks the chain of traceability, on-chain records show large sums of WAVES moving from Binance to 3PEEs and several other connected wallets, suggesting the transactions were likely part of the same cycle. Some of those wallets were later identified by Ivanov himself in a Vires Finance governance proposal as participating in the scheme.
Then, it was rinse and repeat: The wallets that received WAVES from Binance executed the same process again and converted WAVES to USDN and used the tokens as collateral to borrow even more user deposits and sell them for WAVES.
Binance, which has not been accused of wrongdoing in the Waves transactions, declined to comment for this article. Binance’s lack of scrutiny toward client transactions is at the heart of a lawsuit that US regulators filed earlier this month.
A ‘Ponzi scheme’
The 3PEEs wallet is connected to at least four other wallets: 3P87z, 3PPuz, 3PJPB, and 3PNWj. They, too, engaged in this lucrative loop and sent each other funds primarily in February and March 2022, according to on-chain data. During this period, the repeated WAVES buying pushed the token’s price up sixfold and it hit a record $61.30 on March 31, 2022.
Using the stablecoin loop to pump the value of WAVES lay at the heart of the alleged scheme, the Eisenberg lawsuit says, alleging that by manipulating the tokenomics, Ivanov was able to make a killing in WAVES.
“Defendants had been running their business as a Ponzi scheme and using investors’ assets to buy up the underlying commodity so they could sell it all at an inflated price,” said Eisenberg’s lawsuit.

According to on-chain data, wallets connected to the 3PEEs web of wallets sent more than 22.3 million WAVES tokens to Binance between April and November 2022 after the looping activity stopped. Going by the WAVES price at the time of each transaction, the tokens sent to Binance during this period were worth almost $223 million.
Ivanov declined to comment on the million of dollars worth of WAVES sent to Binance and on the apparent link he has to those wallets.
But the most impactful result of the loop was the creation of bad debt. Every time the loop rotated, the borrowed portion of the assets in the 3PEEs wallets’ positions increased. With USDN far less stable than USDT and USDC, this created enormous pressure on investors. Every time USDN slipped its dollar peg, it threw the value of collateral and debt out of whack.
On April 5, for example, USDN briefly fell to 78 cents and left Vires’ USDC and USDT depositors holding millions in bad debt. USDN-backed lending positions became under-collateralised, and there was no mechanism forcing 3PEEs and other wallets to pay their debts.
Full responsibility
With their USDC and USDT deposits already transferred away to Binance, there was nothing Vires depositors could do to retrieve their assets.
Depositors were outraged. Ivanov said he would “assume full responsibility” by creating a community proposal to move the debt and remaining collateral of 3PEEs and five other wallets to his own wallet, beginning 3P84e.
“EAT THE RICH whales are slaughtered,” Ivanov tweeted after the vote passed on May 31.
On-chain records suggest there were no whales — Ivanov was taking control of what many investors suspected were his own wallets to harvest goodwill from the shaken Waves community.

Ivanov’s own wallet, 3P84e, is also linked to the web of wallets used to pump the WAVES price. On-chain data shows it sent and received millions of USDC, USDT, and USDN stablecoins to and from a 3PEEs-linked wallet, called 3P87z, central to the looping scheme. Ivanov declined to comment on the link.
Over the next few months the situation was frozen. Vires depositors could not access their funds and those with balances under $250,000 were eventually forced to convert the USDC and USDT owed to them into USDN.
Eventually, USDN depegged from the dollar, shattering Vires depositors’ hopes of recovering their funds. In November 2022, USDN started to fall in value, and by the end of the year, it had sunk to 41 cents.
‘Complete and utter crap’
Following USDN’s de-peg, Korea’s Digital Asset eXchange Association issued an investment warning against the WAVES token, citing a “risk of unexpected investors’ loss due to WAVES value volatility.”
Suspicions mounted that Ivanov had used depositors’ USDT and USDC to inflate the value of WAVES and cash out via Binance. On December 8, YouAreMyYield confronted him on Twitter about the wallets “that I think belong to you.”
“Complete and utter crap,” Ivanov responded. “I offer you a challenge. Please trace what I cashed out. If you find any USDT USDC BTC, cash in banks etc., you’re welcome to have it.”
A history of accusations
Throughout the episode, Ivanov has repeatedly denied that he controlled the wallets involved in the Vires Finance looping scheme. Last spring, Ivanov posted an 11-part tweet thread offering his own theory as to who was behind the WAVES token manipulation: Alameda Research.
Ivanov accused Alameda, founded by FTX’s Sam Bankman-Fried, of taking a short position in WAVES and spreading “FUD” — or fear, uncertainty and doubt — to hurt the price.
Alameda hit back at the claims, while Bankman-Fried called Ivanov’s accusations a “bullshit conspiracy theory.”
Eisenberg sues
In July, Eisenberg slapped Ivanov and Numeris, the company behind Vires Finance, with a lawsuit in Puerto Rico, seeking the return of around $12 million, plus interest and punitive damages.
Echoing the arguments of 0xHamz and the army of Twitter sleuths, Eisenberg claimed Waves lured deposits to Vires Finance, only to later change the rules that governed the protocol.
Eisenberg is pursuing his suit even as he is detained in New York pending a federal trial for “orchestrating an attack” on Solana DeFi protocol Mango Markets. Eisenberg denies any wrongdoing.
Just days before he was arrested in Puerto Rico in December, Eisenberg accused Ivanov of “straight theft” in a Twitter exchange.
“So you have no intention to file a response with the court?” Eisenberg asked.
“Explain what you mean, for starters, ‘Stole’ and such,” Ivanov replied. “I am a very public person, let’s meet, bring your lawyers. I’ll come alone :)”

1. Use Tor Browser

​
With Tor you can visit almost every website anonymously, there are a lot of guides on how to use Tor available online, most of them are filled with darknet bullshit. But the Tor devs have actually designed it for activists, and protesters like us to keep our anonymity while exposing others. Checkout https://www.torproject.org/ to get a brief intro on what the Tor Project does and how it helps you be anonymous on the internet. Also please do not use shady VPNs, or even paid ones like Proton or Mullvad cause they single-handedly can reveal your identity if the government threatens them to do so (usually they fight back but better be safe than sorry). Unlike VPNs, Tor has 3 different randomly picked onion routers (ORs) which relay your traffic so it should be pretty much resistant to any sort of adversarial attacks and it has proved to be so. Edward Snowden, the whistle-blower who exposed America's spying programmes used exclusively Tor for his operation before coming out in public. I am not going to spend a lot of time explaining how Tor is better than VPNs, proxies and all those technologies, but will just recommend it. Please don't use your day-to-day web browser for exposing these liars, use exclusively Tor. Also you can choose to use public WiFi when accessing Tor, but that should not be needed as you are already using Tor.

TLDR for the above para: Tor should reliably mask your true IP address from websites.

Also I would recommend to set the Tor Browser security level to "Safer", many sites do not work with "Safest" set as JavaScript is disabled (the default is Standard which is not safe enough if you ask me). Also please read the FAQs on https://support.torproject.org/faq/ before proceeding any further. Some shitty sites also block Tor users from accessing their site, in that case you can also rely on the Internet Archive to see what content is on the site (IA does not block Tor users). If the website URL is "https://example.com/path", just add a "https://web.archive.org/" in the beginning. The new URL should become "https://web.archive.org/https://example.com/path"

2. Get yourself a new identity

It is very important to have a entirely different identity while exposing Bhosda Reddy and likes. DO NOT LOG INTO YOUR EXISTING REDDIT ACCOUNT OR ANY OTHER SITE WHEN USING TOR. Create a new email address from sites like https://www.guerrillamail.com/, https://cock.li. Make sure you do use random words for your email, do not use your pet's name or include any other interests in your email address. An example of a random email address you can get 'fuckyounta@example.com'. Keep away from email providers that want you to verify using another existing email or phone number, DO NOT USE GMAIL AT ALL COSTS! After this strictly use only this email address for any exposing related tasks, and not your existing identity. I would also recommend not to use your existing social accounts during the time you are in this new identity. Remember, this investigator Teju should have no idea who TejuuuOP is (just giving an example, I am not u/TejuuuOP but another random guy on internet who doesn't even have a Reddit account on his name and has always used throwaways).

After getting a email, make sure you remember the password. I would recommend using passphrases as they are easy to remember and too long for anyone else to crack. An example of good passphrase "TejuuuOP dickriders love $uckIng his d#cK". Ofcourse don't write something so common, but try to come up with a sentence which you can remember easily add a few special characters and it should be hard for anyone else to crack. Do not include any information about you in the passphrase (this should be pretty obvious but let's still write it down for the dumb people). Also I would recommend not storing your password in your usual password manager or a text file (which is a dumb idea tbh) as it leaves a trace of your identity on your machine.

Get a new Reddit account, register using your email address which you just created. Also use another password, don't for god's sake reuse the same password. Don't use the Reddit's onion site (ends with .onion) as the captcha is broken on the onion site.

Now this identity should be completely isolated from your true identity, you can post anything anonymously using this new identity. Make sure you use this power responsively (with great power comes great responsibility). Don't tell anyone about you having an alt Reddit account at any cost, not even your best friend or whatever.

3. Browsing Reddit anonymously.

​
Do not use your newly created Reddit username to browse anything which you usually do. DO NOT EVEN USE IT TO BROWSE ANYTHING. Instead try to use this identity to only post when you need to, login only when you want to post. Also Tor Browser will forget everything when you close the browser, so if you mistakenly browse funny or memes before logging in, just close all tabs, then close the browser and then reopen it. Also Reddit might flag your account and give you mysterious login errors as you are using a proxy to browse the site, in that case just wait for a few hours and try again, most likely you will be able to login then. If not create a new email address and repeat.

You can also use alternative Reddit frontends like libreddit or redlib to browse Reddit anonymously and choose to login only when necessary. Note that you can only view posts using these frontends and not post content using it.

4. Staying anonymous while spreading the word

​
Do not reveal anything about yourself, do not reveal your pet's name, do not reveal your interests about anything (like do you like football, cricket whatever) under any circumstances. Also do not even reveal your rank even after rounding off as it still can pinpoint the actual person very easily who posted the thing (although I don't think anyone here is competent to even do that cause we have drained those brains to America already). Keep sending this topic to alternative subreddits like india, unitedstatesofindia, indiasocial and similar India and study related subreddits so that atleast someone from mainstream media picks it up. Unfortunately I don't think any of these news analysis people is going to pick this up as 18+ crore in EBs, you don't want to upset both the opposition and the ruling party, so we have no option to pressurize atleast someone to pick this up.

If you are posting any video/image evidence (could vary from confessions of students as well as invigilators, or any other evidence) which you obtain through any means, make sure you strip the metadata of that video before posting. Metadata may include a lot of info about you like the exact geographical location of where the video/image was taken, the device information (camera model, software info which can further reveal a lot about you) used to capture the video. If you are using Whonix, it includes an application for that called as "Metadata cleaner" it should strip most info for you. Do not use any online website for this purpose, prefer using a tool that runs offline. https://superuser.com/questions/556469/how-can-i-remove-the-exif-tags-metadata-from-several-images-at-once has some good suggestions. Note: that the metadata cleaning is going to helpful only if the accused isn't aware that they are being filmed or have been filmed, if they know then they probably also know who you are.

Also since this account is anonymous, you can share the results of cheaters without any fear of you getting doxxed, so do that. Go as far as you can to expose these cheaters. I would love to see news with headlines like "Liar liar, pants on fire" with these Bhosda Reddy and likes getting actual fire on their pants.

Also if you happen to mistakenly share anything you didn't want to share which reveals any info of yours, the best you can do is delete the post and start with a new email and new account. Remember even if you delete the post, it likely has already been read by someone which could be the institute who wants you dead.

5. Closing words

I don't think NTA is going to do anything unless we pressurize them to do something. I want this topic to be trending on every social media site ever: Reddit, Instagram, Youtube, Xitter (X, formerly Twitter). Unfortunately only on Reddit you can actually be anonymous while posting anything. Instagram, YouTube, and Xitter will require a phone verification to post anything which reveals your identity to these corporations (which means no anonymity). Description of Original Problem: Hi' , i've been struggling with an issue 3 months now, i already upgraded my rams and gpu so the only possible cause left could be Cpu / Motherboard or even Rams(i know that the rams i wrote are not on QVL list but keep in mind that before i did have 2x8gb beast fury rams which were actually on the QVL nothing changed after the upgrade)Basically when i play the game has smooth FPS but every time i have to load a zone or something a bit complex (for example an animation or complex effect) i get a stutter or microstutter. And yes my config should be able to handle the games i play! for example i do get this problem on Hearthstone which is a really light game that even runs on mobile! (3% cpu usage and 12% gpu usage total on high so yeah pretty light)other games i have this problem (all of my games have those but i will not list all of them just some)

Troubleshooting:
i ran some stability benchmarks on cpu and everything seems ok i run the Ryzen Master Application One, the prime95 one and even IntelBurn Test which give pretty complex math problems to solve to the cpu and everything came out with not issues, i also ran Memtest64 and it returned 0 errors
The bios settings were not touched they were only to Apply EXPO and i also tried enabling ECO mode for cpu to check if it was a cpu sort of problem but nothing changed so i turned it off same for resizable bar
i tried both motherboard Drivers and official drivers, the ones on the motherboard support page Keep in mind that i tried those drivers after a clean reinstall!
I also tried to use atlas on another clean reinstall and i tried using stock windows 11/10 on another clean reinstall nothing changed Tried to disable windows core isolation to check but nothing changed
Tried to disable the onboard audio card nothing changed My monitor is plugged correctly in the GPU hdmi
Checked DPC(latencymon) everything was fine except SOMETIMES very rare i've got some spikes but they never crossed the yellow or even the red line so... should be ok
Tried game mode windows on and off nothing changed
Tried to enable/disable windows GPU ACCELLERATION
Sometimes i noticed some inconsistent frametimes which are weird
i have no bottleneck
tried disabling page file (ended up crashing windows[full system restart] so i re-enabled it lol)
tried to run game with expo disabled
upgraded my gpu (which i already wanted to do from a gtx 1050 to a rtx 4060

Star sem 29, čez 2 meseca 30. Sam imam končano srednjo poklicno šolo, bolj podrobno plovbni tehnik, se pravi V. stopnja izobrazbe. Po končani srednji šoli se nisem vpisal na nobeno višjo šolo, ker za to niti nisem imel volje, bi lahko rekel mlad in neumen, na svet sem gledal kot neki kao ''badass'', ki mu je totalno vseeno za vse, pa če se svet jutri podre boli me... if you know what I mean. Denarja pa tudi nisem imel, da bi si lahko privoščil. Grozno mi je bilo prosit starše, da bi mi pomagali, čeprav tudi sami niso imeli ravno najboljše plače. Vem, da bi z veseljem dali za študij in me podpirali, vendar sem se samega sebe jemal za nekega lenuha, ki se mu tako al tako nič ne da in vedno sem bil bolj kot ne nek sanjač, ogromno idej po glavi in toliko stvari, ki me je zanimalo ampak nič konkretnega. Tako sem se odločil, da se zaposlim. Sem mogoče edini?
Skratka, zaposlil sem se v trgovini kot prodajalec, oz. najprej kot študent in nato prosil za zaposlitev, to delo sem opravljal 7 let cca. in bil blagajničar in pa zlaganje na police, verjetno ima kdo od vas tudi izkušnje s tem delom. Po vseh teh letih nisem več mogel prenašati strank, vedno sem bil prijazen, nikoli vsiljiv, na K***C so mi šli tej izdelki tedna, ki jih je bilo treba ponujati strankam, ker sem sam sebi bil že annoying af in tudi druge razumem, recimo na bencinskih servisih in v drogerijah, ko morajo ponujat neke čokoladice ali čigume. Najhujše od vsega pa je bilo to premetavanje okoli po drugih poslovalnicah ko si dobesedno v sredi tedna zvedel, da jutri pa te rabijo tam in tam, to se je dogajalo 1 leto, premetavanje sem in tja vsak teden, ali mesec, tako, da v svoji matični enoti sploh nisem bil. Kar se tiče strank so me imele zelo rade, ne da se hvalim ali karkoli, ampak vedno sem dobro komuniciral z ljudmi in tudi na cesti so me pozdravljali, tudi spoznal sem kar nekaj novih ljudi. Ampak sčasoma je postalo psihično prenaporno, vsak dan sem bil tako psihično zmatran in utrujen in sem hodil sam ven na sprehode da se malo ''zluftam'' ampak sem začel dobivat tisti nek filing, kaj jaz sploh delam v lajfu? In sem se odločil menjat službo. Zato sem po 7 letih šel za komisionarja sicer pri isti firmi ampak totalno drugo delovno mesto. Tu je spet vse drugače, to delo opravljam že 3 leta, plača je tako ali tako minimalna več niti nisem pričakoval, najhujše od vsega so pa medsebojni odnosi in neke prazne obljube ''ja veš to je dobro za napredovanje'' bla bla, ker napredovanja tu ne vidiš nikoli razen, če si nek težki ritoliznik, kar pa nisem, pa še to vprašanje, kaj bi dobil, če bi bil.
V vsem tem času sem se precej spremenil, na stvari gledam drugače I guess zato, ker sem odrastu tako mentalno kot fizično. Postal sem precej delaven in imam, kar nekaj izkušenj, kar se tiče računalništva, ne pa tudi programiranja, ker mi je pač to kot nek hobi, če lahko temu tako rečem. Poznam basic stuff in pri nas v firmi precejkrat popravljam računalnike, printerje in ostalo opremo pa ne, ker bi to znal ampak, ker me zanima, ker se poglobim in probam sam ugotovit kje je napaka, odprem, pogledam, vidim aha tu nekaj ne štima, berem kaj piše recimo ''error'' neki neki in probam ugotovit zakaj se gre in moram reč, da mi 90% časa uspe, če ne pogooglam ali pa pokličem kakšno strokovno pomoč varjanta IT, na navedeno številko na strojih.
Že tako preveč dolgovezim in govorim svoj boring life story, zanima me s čim se vi kaj ukvarjate recimo mladi 25 - 35 let? Sam bi rad menjal službo, probal bi nekaj v smeri računalništva ampak imam nek grozen strah, ker nisem v življenju delal nič drugega kot v trgovini in tega ne bi rad več delal ali pa v gostinstvu, ker me sploh ne veseli. Kot sem prej omenil dokončal sem pomorsko šolo ''plovbni tehnik'' folk govori, pa pojdi na ladjo, ampak tudi ladja ni več to kot včasih, pa tudi odkrito na to šolo sem šel, ker takrat kot 15 letni mulec, ki ni naredil 1. letnika gimnazije, ker je bil v svojem svetu totalno nezainteresiran za vse, nisem vedel kaj drugega bi in tako sem se odločil za to šolo, ker sem pač bil ''fuck it eno srednjo šolo moram nardit''. In tudi plovba me iskreno niti malo ne veseli. Kot pravim, poiskal bi novo službo ampak se bojim, da sem se preveč že navadil tega kar delam in se počutim nesposobnega za karkoli drugega, sploh pa, ko gledam te oglase za delo sploh na obalno-kraški regiji je vse nekaj VI. ali VII. stopnja izobrazbe medtem, ko imam jaz samo V. stopnjo.
Slišal sem že, da ima folk narejeno komaj osnovno in, da delajo neka administrativna dela, ki zahtevajo VI.+ stopnjo izobrazbe ampak ne vem ali je bila to samo sreča ali so to kakšne veze in poznajo koga, ki jih je ''poturil'' not, recimo kakšni strici, tete, očetje, mame...
Kot pravim, probal bi kaj v zvezi z računalništvom ali karkoli drugega v tej smeri, pa ne vem kaj, ker ne poznam teh delovnih mest in kaj se tam dela, hitro se učim in res mi ni problema delat, strah me je samo, da bom recimo zamenjal in bom izpadel totalno nesposoben in da bo kdo rekel ''lej tega, kaj sploh pride sem delat, če nima pojma'' manjka mi tisti confidence, da se odločim, da je to to in, da je čas za nekaj novega, ker sem confident enough, da se bom naučil vsega, kar mi dajo za delat, ampak, če bojo tudi oni pripravljeni pomagat. Tega se itak ne da determinirat kdo je kakšen in kdo bo kaj, ker smo si ljudje različni ampak ja.. Upam da bo kdo ta post prebral in mi znal kaj svetovat 😬😄

I saw a TAS earlier today of someone getting 41 achievements, but I was wondering what the theoretical limit could be pushed to? Could we get it higher than that in a singular run?

The clock hand inches towards 10.30 pm when I get on a call with Dibakar Banerjee. It’s an unusual hour for film interviews to happen (it’s also a Friday night). The director is armed with a rehearsed retort. “I have been working on the film from 9 am to 10 pm." He is busy, giving final touches to Love Sex Aur Dhokha (LSD) 2, the digital-age upgrade to his 2010 found-footage dark satire LSD. The film, just like its predecessor, will have three segments, voyeuristically capturing the absurdity of reality shows, social media and content creation.
In addition to the upcoming release, the Shanghai (2012) director discusses the banes of self-censorship, gives insights on content being created to cater towards the ‘threatened’ male, the state of political cinema in the country and of course, Tees.
Excerpts:
What made you go for a sequel to LSD?
Actually, it was Ektaa’s (the film’s producer Ektaa Kapoor) idea. Whenever she and I met, it was always about ‘what should we do next?’ She would suggest LSD 2 and I would say ‘It’s not the time. Thodi aur zindagi jeete hain (Let life happen to us a little more). Around 2020-21, during COVID-19, when the structure for Tees was ready, I realized it was time. I called up Ektaa and said, ‘I guess we have lived enough to make a sequel.’
It was earlier reported that the release of your film Tees, whose story revolves around a middle-class Muslim family across three generations, has been shelved. What is happening with it now?
I would say it is at a stage of soft burial at Netflix. The OTT platform doesn’t want to release it still and I am running around, searching for buyers that can procure the film from the streamer.
The stalling of a film, how did it affect you?
It’s like, imagine somebody gags you and says from now onwards you are not allowed to speak. Since 2014, I have been warning everybody, asking them to raise a voice against whatever is happening. It is a tragedy and I am being proven right.
I remember the first film in LSD and how scathing it was in its comment on honour killing. In the current environment, do you think LSD 2 can be that political?
I have no idea what it can be. I have actually forgotten LSD and made the sequel as a fresh film. I can say that this film is kind of its own beast, maybe a little more dangerous than its predecessor.
From the trailer of LSD 2, it seems like you are going to address the politics of gender, sexuality, and patriarchy. What made you go for these themes?
I think the biggest political force on the planet today is 'threatened patriarchy'. This has intrigued me for a long time. In cinema, we are seeing the rise of some tropes: the worship of the dictatorial father figure, the omnipotent superhero or the extremely rich and violent man who will save society and the common man. All of these things are happening because men are vulnerable and threatened and are using the levers of power to push back. We are living amidst the last scream of the scared male.
And why do you think men are threatened?
Because they have been enjoying unquestioned privileges for the last 6000 to 7000 years. All the organized religions in the world have catered to them. Now, after the labour movement and the feminist movement, it’s time for the feudal male to feel afraid. Their thousand-year-old habits are being questioned by centuries-old movements. It’s new for them.
What is your take on social media?
I think it has created pressure to always live a narrative. Having a tool like social media does two things. Firstly, it makes you perform all the time. You become an actor in your own life. The second thing is, you start escaping your real life and keep running towards your virtual life because that gives instant gratification. I have seen videos of influencers waking up in the morning, brushing their teeth and getting ready. Their lives are just narratives, being dished out for their audiences to consume.
Is there a specific reason you are not on social media?
(Laughs) I don’t know. I guess maybe because I have all my friends and family in the real world and I don’t find the need for it. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t anonymously go on social media. You do everything for research, like using fake IDs and VPNs. For LSD 2, I got into online gaming, virtual reality and augmented reality. This alternative form of being, that takes you out of your physical life and into a virtual world, gives you quite a headrush.
Do you ever feel the need for self-censorship?
Yes. But I think it’s happening to all of us. Each period has its own censorship code. I think this time is a product of our fetishization of anger. It pays to stoke the loneliness, the rage. That’s the reality of 2024. Hate, anger and discontent have become the namak, mirch and dhaniya (salt and spices). Nothing can be made without them.
Do you think the political film, which is critical of the establishment, is dead?
I won’t say it is dead. I would say it is being suffocated and gagged. The content we watch today is curated by the state and the corporate oligarchy that is supporting the state and is being supported by it. So, before you get into watching anything, it is heavily mediated. Somebody had asked me, ‘What kind of films can an Indian filmmaker show?’ To that I would say ‘The kind of films Indians deserve to watch.’ Now, if you give up your rights in order to worship an idol, an ideal, a fantasy or a star, then this is what you deserve.
Are you saying people don’t actually want to see the truth on screen?
See, I think people are smart. I think they have now figured out that they have made some terribly wrong choices. But still, there is a large portion that doesn’t want to admit they are being fooled. So, they go into denial for some time, to save face. We are going through a denial phase. It will change.
Can you explain what you mean by ‘denial phase’?
It basically means you only see what you want to see and you ignore what is right in front of you.
Do you fear the consequences of the things you say?
Oh, absolutely. I always feel that if I say certain things, I might go to jail, or I will be fined, or my film will get stuck at the censors, or somebody will set fire to my house, or will shoot me, or will file a case against me.
Then where does that leave us? What is the way forward for artists?
Way forward? I don’t know. You just crawl into bed every night and you wake up the next morning, brush your teeth and start fighting.
