2024.04.10 22:53 allthe_angels [Thank You] Almost 3 months late, but thanks are here! +mystery sender

There is no excuse for how long these thank-you’s took to post! I will say, I’ve been writing them for the past few days and I’ve had to stop periodically to take a moment and shed a tear. They’re all so beautiful and warmed my heart during the cold season of grief.
-💛-
MYSTER SENDER FOUND: u/jovinyo - Your card depicts two hands gently holding a red heart in the center of the card, and inside you included so many sweet quotes about lovely, loyal dogs. There’s no username anywhere on the card or envelope, it’s just signed with your name. I greatly appreciate the condolences; your words brought tears to my eyes and comfort to my heart. Sending you so much love and appreciation. 💌
u/slavkan12 (x2) - You decorated your envelope with the cutest doggy stickers! There’s one of a dog’s butt sticking up, having dug a deep hole that his head is in. Another is a beagle peeing on a fire hydrant. 😆 Absolutely adorable! Your wonderfully comforting words and story about your precious dog Alfred warmed my heart, and I’m so sorry you had to lose him so young. Sending you so much love and thanks. 💛
u/nyancatNOVA - Having The Possum’s sweet little face welcome me to your card instantly brought cheer to my heart. 🥰 I am so sorry it took me so long to properly thank you for the peace you brought me, not only through your sweet card or kind words, but also the absolutely amazing Angel Tuxey edit you included. 🥹 I will be honest… I sobbed like a baby when I first saw it, but made sure to snap a pic of it and send it to my also grieving family. We all adore it, and if you still have the JPG file, I would just love to have it. You are an angel yourself, and I can’t thank you enough. 💛
u/rhapsodytravelr - The beautiful card you sent was only made more memorable by the peaceful words you included inside. With such gorgeous handwriting, you managed to make a crying session turn less so grieving and more comforting. I know nothing can change the fact that my Tuxey boy is gone, but comfort has been so beneficial, and I can’t thank you enough. I’m so sorry for taking so long to post a proper thank you, but just know that your card has been reread many times during moments of breakdowns. 💛
u/WickedMa - Every time I see the card you sent - a painting portraying a young child on the beach, playing ball with their lab - I can’t help but start a fresh rain of tears. In a good way, of course. The month leading up to Tuxey’s passing were filled with a lot of anticipatory grief and desperation to enjoy every single moment with him that I could. But now, with three months perspective, my memories have begun to shift to our early years together. Oh boy, did we have the best adventures together during my childhood! He never made it to the beach with me, but that’s because he preferred rocky hikes and nature trails, which we tackled with glee together. Oh boy, do I miss him. But every word you wrote was so beautiful and comforting, and though they bring tears, they also bring peace. Thank you so, so much, dear friend. I’m so sorry it took so long to express my thanks. 💛
u/ambykittykat - Thank you so much for the fun facts about the history of Egyptians and dogs! You really brightened my spirits and enlightened me on a subject I knew very little about! The included poem with the memorial paper you made brought a tear to my eye. What a beautiful reminder and a great consolation to return to in times of hardship. I’m sorry for this thank-you coming so late, but know I appreciate every word your wrote! 🐾
u/tiredpantyhose - Thank you for the sweet words and the beautiful floral card you sent for Tuxey’s passing. The sunflower washi tape on the back of the envelope is just gorgeous and reminds me of all the springs and summers we spent together, sitting in fields of flowers and watching the sunset together. ☀️ He was the best boy, and I thank you for helping comfort me in this trying time. I am so sorry for this late thanks! 💛
u/amabisca - What a treasure your handmade cards always are! Such peaceful colors and sweet reminders of joy. It really brings a splash of delightful cheer to the day! 💌 Thank you so much!
u/literallyinlimbo - Every time I read your card, I can’t help but tear up again. Your condolences are just so beautifully written and exudes comfort in every word. Luna sounds like an absolute angel of a baby, and I’m so thankful she and Tuxey are running and playing together across the rainbow bridge. It’s so sweet that she visited you in your dreams and let you know that she was alright. In the past few months I’ve only had one visit from Tuxey, but it was very comforting. The Polaroids you included of my dear Tuxey and your sweet Luna melted my heart and reside on his shrine. Even though I never met her, she will be forever cherished alongside my big boy. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Mere words struggle to convey the absolute appreciation I have for you and your card. 💛🫶🏻 Sending you so much love.
u/shaymarielle - The little “smile” poem inside the matching card is just so sweet. Thank you for the reminder to cherish the memories I have of Tuxey - it can be difficult sometimes when the grief is overpowering. Your kindness means so much to me, thank you so much. 💛
u/melhen16 (x3) - Condolences in a gorgeous floral card makes me so, so incredible thankful for you. ☺️ Your comforting words have helped ease the grief, and the colorful extras you included brought a smile to my face. The array of stamps adorning the envelope were very cool to look at and appreciate!
I feel insanely thankful to be blessed by TWO birthday cards from you, dear friend!! My, my, your lovely birthday message melted my heart like ice cream on a regular Texas day, and the cards you chose were so “COOL”!! The collection of stickers included were the perfect gift and I love them all (but especially the Texas page!! Gotta love my own state 😉). Thank you tenfold for the continuous bright and cheery snail mail you send! I’ve been very slow to everything since mid-January, but a card of thanks is soon to be in the mail for you! 💕🥳
u/peachessandtea - Some of my mail got mixed together during my move, so apologies if I have already thanked you for this postcard before! But in case I haven’t… THANK YOU for the sweet postcard depicting a scene from Kiki’s Delivery Service, and for the pleasant message written on the back. You are so sweet, and I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to properly thank you!
u/rennbrig - What a simplistic, yet absolutely precious condolence card. I truly believe that Tuxey was my furry, four-pawed soulmate, and though I still feel lost without him, I’m so happy he and Buddy are playing and chasing each other happily across the rainbow bridge. I’m sorry you’ve had to experience this pain as well, but I’m so very thankful for the helpful advice you’ve given to me. Thank you so much. I wish I could find stronger words to express my gratitude. 🥰
u/TyeDyeAmish - Thank you for your condolences in this leafy green card, dear friend. Your cards never cease to bring a smile to my face. Apologies for such a late thank you, but know that I have appreciated it this whole time. 😊
u/grasshopper2231 - Happy (late) National Puppy Day to you, too! This adorable Dalmatian postcard speaks levels of joy to my heart! I spent the ‘holiday’ volunteering at my local animal shelter (and struggling to resist adopting all the darling little doggies). 🐾 Thank you so much for this joyful snail mail!
u/oceanfrenn - What is this?? WHAT IS THIS?? A surprise birthday postcard, outfitted with an AMAZINGLY smart and fun dog doodle-phabet!! I’m feeling so cheerful and special thanks to your snail mail love, and I can’t thank you enough! March was a busy month for me and I didn’t get the chance to interact with the community much, so I was not expecting any birthday wishes. Which meant that your postcard was like receiving a birthday cake in the mail! 🎂🥳 Thank you, dear friend!!
u/ByeolCandy - If there’s one piece of mail that, once opened, I couldn’t stop crying a flood of tears, it was yours. I was not expecting a drawn masterpiece of my precious Tuxey boy, but stars… it’s amazing. I’ve had it hanging over his shrine, the pinnacle of it all. You managed to capture his adorable chubbiness, his glowing smile, and those loving eyes he had. He truly is forever a good boy, and thanks to you, your drawing, and your immensely comforting words, I have so much more peace in my heart and mind. The chocolate bars you included came in quite handy. Did you know it’s very hard to sob while also eating rich, tasty chocolate? I feel like you did know that already, and that might have been your plan all along… you’re too smart and sweet. I don’t know how to thank you properly for this package of care and consolation, but just know you’re on the top of my thank-you cards list, as soon as I get my stuff together after last month’s move. Everything you sent means so, so much to me. Thank you, from all of my heart. 💛💌🐾

2024.04.09 00:10 Pure_Psychology5760 Dain Torunn, Glyphscribe of Derein

I've put this PC together for a sandbox campaign in a custom world created by a DM buddy of mine. I am pretty new to allot of the concepts of Deneir and have never even played any kind of caster before. I would appreciate any thoughts or criticisms y'all have. Thanks!

Background

Family History

With forefathers that once resided deep within the underground Tyrian Domain, the dwarves of Torunn ascended the underground to find a more pious life in Ostmarsch circa Vigil (year) 428. The underdark being in a state of constant conflict, the underground temples had collapsed one too many times. Thus leading to the destruction of knowledge held sacred by worshipers of Deneir.
The family of Torunn were some of the first Dwarven families to emerge from their underground domain with the intent to deepen their devoutness to Deneir and share the knowledge of the metatext with other races. With them they brought thousands of texts held sacred to their people and passed down through their family name. While other higher ranking priest families remained in Tyria to pore over ancient works, searching for hints of the Metatext.
These dwarves quickly found themselves in the town of Getreidefeld and got along quite nicely with the scholars and students that resided there. The halls of the Kerzenhalter were full of tens of thousands of texts the followers of Deneir had not researched and transcribed. With permissions from the head of Kerzenhalter, the family of Torunn set to build a temple of Deneir worthy of adjacency to the old magics academy.
Half a decade later, a beautiful library-like stone temple of Deneir was completed. And an era of shared knowledge between the two establishments began. More dwarf families made their way out of the caverns to study and pursue the metatext over the years. Slowly and steadily the outreach of Deneir grew, as a charitable and trustworthy company of Hill Dwarves

Deneir Temple of Getreidefeld

Deneir's church is concerned with the gathering and recording of information so that nothing written is lost. Most keep a journal of their activities, including poems, songs, and stories they hear on their journeys. Clerics believe that literacy is an important gift of the gods, and should be spread and taught, and thus teach people how to read.
Denier priests have a special vow of charity, they will write letters and transcribe information upon request usually at a modest price for the individual petitioning their help. Large projects must be negotiated, but in slow times, priests of Deneir can be found in the local commons and in bars, writing letters for those unable to do so, charging no more than a few coppers, or performing the service for free to the needy.
Also because of this vow, priests of Deneir often gain information that is otherwise sensitive, dangerous, or potentially lucrative. While a sizable donation to the faith will help keep such matters secret for some time. There is a saying, "Remember that the pens of Deneir also have ears."
Glyphscribes, as clerics of Deneir are known, retain a written copy of every missive they record, and on the 3rd of Herdfeuer each cleric turns over a bundle of the most interesting of such copies to the temple. High clerics pore over these works, searching for a hint of the Metatext. The most promising morsels, often no more than one or two words, are sent to the Tyrian temple hidden underneath the southern mountains of Ostmarsch. There to be added to Librarian Supreme's incomplete, living record of that elusive manuscript.

Dain Torunn, Glyphscribe of Deneir

Born on 12th of Tempest Vigil 577, Dain Torunn was raised by priests of the Deneir temple in Getreidefeld. Dains younger days consisted primarily of studying ancient texts, practicing dwarven traditions, and tending to the temple's upkeep. Dain saw all within the temple order as parental figures, they each had new knowledge to share every day.
One teaching that all the priests instilled within Dain was that information that is not recorded and saved for later use is information that is lost. Punish those who deface or destroy a book in proportion to the value of the information lost. Literacy is an important gift from Deneir; spread it wherever you travel, that it might couch the hearts and minds of all Mid-Felrast. Fill idle hours with the copying of written work, for in such a manner do you propagate knowledge and aid the pursuit of the Metatext. Information should be free to all and all should be able to read it so that lying tongues cannot distort things out of proportion.
This dogma of Deneir echoed in Dains mind throughout childhood and shaped his ideals. Most importantly he learned the value of truth and the darkness of deceit. The priest's teachings never led Dain astray. A deep trust for the way of the temple was formed within him.
During Dains young adult life, a restlessness grew within him. Every text he picked up, he had read before. Every shelf dusted and crack plastered reminded him that life is finite. He would think “there is more to learn of the world outside this temple”. Every year he would watch in awe as Glyphcribes from around Mid-Felrast congregated at the temple on the 3rd of Herdfeuer. To share their findings and adventures with the world.
It didn't take long for Dain to pursue the life of a Glyphscribe. On his 60th birthday, after decades of service and training. He was finally granted the temple's blessing and equipped with the necessary tools for such a position. With a thirst for adventure, Dain set out on a quest for knowledge & truth.

Flaws: My piety sometimes leads me to blindly trust those that profess faith in my god.

2024.01.27 18:50 mustnttelllies It feels like years of tarot study were all leading to the reading I did over the course of this week. (input welcome)

It feels like years of tarot study were all leading to the reading I did over the course of this week. (input welcome)
TL;DR - I finally feel like a proper alchemical and esoteric novice, and the tarot has provided comfort and encouragement. I drew 3W, 5W, 9C, 9W, 10P, 3P, & The Fool. I provide some poetry, and a rudimentary overview of numerology, the tree of life, and elemental correspondences. As a solo initiate, I welcome an outside perspective.
I've had a strange and exciting journey studying tarot over the last couple of years. I am learning to listen to my intuition, and I have delved as deeply as I could into as many sources as possible to understand tarot from an alchemical perspective. I finished this week's spread today, and I felt the fruits of my labors more in it than I ever have before.
I am not looking for a full re-interpretation of the cards. I am a novice traveling this path alone and would appreciate any tidbits that I may have missed. I am particularly interested in increasing my understanding of numerology and the elements. I know nothing of the zodiac, so any insight there would be welcome.
Context: I am in trauma therapy (EMDR), and on Monday I will be processing a recent trauma that is standing in the way of healing older wounds. It is a fresh memory, and I am terribly afraid and anxious of the experience. I know it will be the most painful yet important part of my 14 years and counting therapy journey.
Decks: Alana Fairchild's Kali and Isis Oracles, and Siolo Thompson's inimitable Linestrider Tarot. The magnetic board was purchased on Etsy from BeTransformedStudio. Crowley notations sourced from tarrdaniel.com, an invaluable source in my journey.
Oracle cards (a bonus; no second opinion needed)
  • Osiris and Isis, Lord and Lady of Divine Authority
  • Chinnamasta, the decapitated one
These cards pair perfectly. They both speak of severing the power of what no longer serves me. Kali promises healing through blood, and Isis encourages reclaiming my authority over my mind and spirit.
Birth cards: The Hierophant and Temperance.
I keep these out as a reminder of what drives me. I will simply say that I grew up Mormon, and my favorite word/emotion/motivation is defiance.
Temperance is Crowley's Art, a card of great alchemy. I have not explored this fully.

The Spread

I drew 4 cards over separate days to walk beside me through the week, with no particular question. In order:
https://preview.redd.it/ujv9inuxn0fc1.jpg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6b2f18514fb661fcecc67b0c65c757feb1b23665
3 of Wands: An active choice to move forward and leave the past behind. New beginnings. The deer on the ground seems diseased. I see spores, and its eyes remind me of death. Ahead, its companion has chosen to leave it behind. It doesn't look back. Crowley's Virtue.
5 of Wands: An inner division creates tension and pain. Grief vs healing, stagnancy vs change, the past vs the future, shame vs forgiveness. The staves are broken and hard to see. A bird dives into the fray. This could be a representation of air, freedom, choice, the spirit, choosing to join the battle and engage with it instead of fleeing. I see it as an aspect of the Swords. Crowley's Strife.
9 of Cups: The bird has been subsumed, and the cage is open and empty, defeated but not abandoned. Satisfaction, emotional rewards for hard work, and smugness (a favorite emotion of mine). This card has appeared to me from Linestrider more than any other, and it is a special card to me, though I don't fully understand why yet. Crowley's Happiness.
9 of Wands: Injured but upright, the fox(es?) has survived the battle. It wears blue and red, and color has returned to it. While it is wounded, it is healing, the staves are whole once more, and it wears a dagger at its side, suggesting that the bird remains. This card speaks of hard-earned wisdom with a newfound confidence to stand firm, wielding its experience to defend what has been won. Crowley's Strength.
I then asked the deck for what it might bring my attention to. I was so surprised that I then asked for a clarifying card.
https://preview.redd.it/tf98qbg1o0fc1.png?width=771&format=png&auto=webp&s=274a4d954dba932baa97dc76c185641355415267
10 of Pentacles: Happiness, love, fulfillment, prosperity, family. In short, a life worth living. There is a future. Hard work will bring reward. Crowley's Wealth.
3 of Pentacles: Diligence and building a future. Cunning and cleverness in the crows (a favorite bird of mine). The future is underpinned by strings of red and blue - Wands and Cups, emotion and passion, fire and water. All four elements are present, and the nest is already beautiful. Stay the course. Crowley's Work.
Finally, an unexpected gift from Linestrider. I focus so much on the Minor arcana that of late I have neglected the Major. This week, I separated the Major and Court cards for study, and I mistakenly thought it was this deck. Of course it wasn't, but I only realized after pulling the deck from its bag. I thanked them and returned them, realizing that one card had been left behind.
https://preview.redd.it/pk5dopf3o0fc1.png?width=345&format=png&auto=webp&s=3de69873cc7023719c88bc5dea6bd694474380ff
The Fool. Above her flies a kookaburra, pointing forward and up, unafraid.
Poetry is my jam, and I found this poem when researching. It fits the spread perfectly, I think.
'The Kookaburras' by Mary Oliver:
In every heart there is a coward and a procrastinator. In every heart there is a god of flowers, just waiting to stride out of a cloud and lift its wings. The kookaburras, pressed against the edge of their cage, asked me to open the door. Years later I remember how I didn't do it, how instead I walked away. They had the brown eyes of soft-hearted dogs. They didn't want to do anything so extraordinary, only to fly home to their river. By now I suppose the great darkness has covered them. As for myself, I am not yet a god of even the palest flowers. Nothing else has changed either. Someone tosses their white bones to the dung-heap. The sun shines on the latch of their cage. I lie in the dark, my heart pounding.
Correspondences (explicit only; birth cards included):
Numerology / Tree of Life / Keywords
  • 3 (x3) / Binah - Understanding, realization / Understanding, Decision, Will
  • 5 (x2) / Geburah - Movement and changing, the power of destruction / Discipline, Strength, Power (in the hierophant, 5 is quintessence, the power that exceeds the four elements)
  • 7 (x1) / Netzach - Creativity and anarchy, sensitivity / Victory, Perseverance, Persistence (multiplied to 14 in its only appearance as Temperance/Art. 2 x 7 = 14, "the adjustment of destiny")
  • 9 (x3) / Yesod - Reflection and imagination / Foundation, Outcome, Result
  • 10 (x1) / Malkuth - the root, the origin, the Kingdom / Kingship, Finish, Realization
  • 0 / Kether, going to Chokmah / nothing and beginning
Elements
  • Air x1
  • Fire x4
  • Water x1
  • Earth x3

2024.01.13 12:21 HexagonalRainbow [Thank You] to these lovely people

Thank you u/DianaPenPal for the lovely Christmas card with lots of gold foil! The illustration is adorable.
Thank you u/likablelobster for the holiday greeting with lots of gold foil! I did not realize you included stickers to use until I accidentally peeled one, lol.
Thank you u/feellikebeingajerk for the black and white winter photograph and the great poem! Did you write that? We might not be as reliant on cars, but all public transportation is surprised that it snows year after year and shuts down, lol. It sucks.
Thank you u/travel4me22 x2 for the season(ing) greetings, what a fun idea. I love the red glitter that shimmers through. Also thank you for the Lover's Leap postcard!
Thank you u/ninajyang for the Las Vegas postcard, I love the illustration style. I hope you had a good time!
Thank you u/its_top_secret for the Ms. Marvel postcard, I love it! I enjoyed the series, but even more the recent The Marvels movie. So funny!
Thank you u/amyt13 for the winter card, castles are amazing! I loved exploring castle ruins as a kid, so fascinating. Castle museums were less my thing, funnily enough.
Thank you u/cloudycat4 for the cat new year postcard! I hope you accomplish all your goals!
Thank you u/melhen16 for the July card - sadly, that's not the first instance of someone getting their mail back despite me having a redirection order in place. I should just cancel it... I love the stamps you used, especially the space ones and the sea cucumber!
Thank you u/PinkPengin for the adorable winter greetings. The paper is great! Also, I recently wondered who sent me the two puffy stickers I've had on my monitor for months now - a tiny cat and a penguin. Should have known that came from you, lol, but now I know for sure since you included a couple more! I'll add them to their family!
Thank you u/Monetmonkey x3 for the amazing mail in the dragon envelope! First, what a cool stamp! Second, That cinnamon bun of self confidence is amazing. Third, such great map postcards, although the cat one is obviously the best! Fourth, I got a good laugh out of the superhero cat stickers! They don't look like they know what they're doing, lol. For the last included envelope I'll thank you seperately, since it's not the time to open it yet!

2023.12.08 22:31 LunchSweet4337 X Piss

My mark will be measured by neurons. Pillars that loomed now tumble. A cavity holding that golden hue.
I’m reading poems how about you?
Crush, a belittled girl. Fantasy abound in an inconsequential world. Dreaming of passage when she crossed Indiana.
Resonate like a Dyson, bag free.
Busked in station with no socket, Croquet found a way. Settle your ego inside his diner,
Your creation is but middle school
Good god who knows how this will be formatted……. This should be read 3:1 Three lines(space) One line (space)(x3)
Hi there, I’ve barely read poetry so all I know comes from osmosis - I get a real big kick out of writing it. All responses are something I’d appreciate. I know nothing.

2023.11.03 01:12 KnightGabriel My personal rankings of the recent Freshy Kanal "Ghost Cypher"

First off, I don't want to downplay any of them, everyone killed it and had at least one special thing going for them. Also this is mostly my opinion, I'm completely fine if there's someone you would rank higher or lower. I'm putting this in order of worst to best(also I'm not ranking the narratointro)

#10 - Danny Phantom The second ghost and imo definitely the worst of them(but again, he was still good). Many lines(primarily at the start of his verse) were somewhat cringeworthy and his actor sounds unenthusiastic throughout the whole thing, he just didn't have a lot of energy. However, he did eventually start to pick up partway through the verse. I also liked how near the end of his verse the beat started to seemingly slowly change to the next rapper's beat(who will be appearing later. MUCH later).

#9 - Ghostrider 9th ghost, similar situation above, some lines just felt cheesy/cringeworthy, and he only really started to pick up later in his verse. In addition the "stuttering" part would've been SO MUCH better if it was an alliteration or it rhymed more imo. However, he did at least get into character better and brought more energy than Danny, and I also just think he was slightly better overall.

#8 - Bloody Mary 4th ghost. There's a much bigger difference between her and Ghostrider than there is between Ghostrider and Danny Phantom, don't get me wrong, I just kinda had to put her here by definition since the others I just liked better, even if just by a tiny bit. I liked some of the build-up(although there wasn't much) in her verse and the "bloody mary x3 boo!" part the most. However, I wasn't the biggest fan of the animation style and Ig some parts I just wasn't really feeling.

#7 - Sadako 8th ghost. I like the short singing part for the introduction to her verse that's done in japanese, and it's also impressive how she managed to do the entire rap verse in a whisper voice and still sound great. Like many of the ghosts in this cypher she started to pick up the pace partway through her verse, but her start wasn' t bad either, she basically jumped in from the singing part. But other than those things nothing really stood out to me? Idk both her and Blody Mary were difficult for me to rank for some reason.

#6 - Slimer 6th ghost. Compared to some of the darker verses, this one was somewhat upbeat and very catchy imo. Again, loved the voice, and I also loved the beat and how they incorporated some parts of the ghostbusters theme. Imo his verse was simplistic and just nice to listen too, didn't really have any crazy wordplay, just really good, front and foremost.

#5 - King Boo 1st ghost, a very solid start to the song. Like most of the participants, he(again) started out slow, but picked up the pace later, and I liked his voice. He also had some IMPECCABLE flow, imo the best of all of them. Other than the flow he was kind of a jack-of-all-trades, since he offered a decent amount of everything if you ask me(had both a fast and slow part, several solid punchlines/wordplay, and a good rhyme scheme).

#4 - Casper 5th ghost. Casper was voiced and written by Littleflecks, ofc he was gonna get a spot in the top 5, every single freshy kanal verse he's done was complete fire with wordplay, punchlines, and rhymes galore. I liked the whispering part and the way it built up to the more upbeat part. His flow was great and he had an intricate rhyme scheme, and was pretty consistent all around.

#3 - Headless Horseman The way he started with something that I can only describe as a medieval-themed ballad or poem that's similar to the introduction and then transitioned into a UK drill beat(or grime idk, not really well-versed in UK hip-hop) with an amazing fast-paced, but not too fast flow, and he just sounded amazing in general because of that combined with his accent.

#2 - Gengar 10th and final ghost. Obviously not quite the "best for last" as he says, but he sure comes really damn close(and in my friend's opinion he is the best one). This guy was voiced by Cam Steady, which honestly shocked me, because he's appeared on Freshy before and I've listened to most of those battles, none of his characters had a style even kinda similar to his style for Gengar in this battle. As for the style, I would describe it as something like rap metal, most parts of his verse he does screaming or just in a loud tone, and is both very fast-paced and has a lot of build-up. His closing part gets even more intense as he starts screaming at the top of his fucking lungs and somehow manages to go even harder than he already was. Great finisher.

#1 - The Flying Dutchman I don't even watch Spongebob and didn't even know this guy was a Spongebob character at first(When I looked up "The Flying Dutchman" it isntead showed me things about the mythical ghost ship of the exact same name that most likely inspired said spongebob character), and his part is still easily my favorite of them all. That amazing beat with accordions is not only insanely catchy but it fits the pirate theme, and just the sheer ENERGY that TFD's actor brought was unparalleled. He was consistent throughout and he just WENT. SO. HARD. Over the past few days I've been constantly replaying his part alone, that's how good it is. Literally one of the best rap verses I've heard, period, rap battle or no rap battle, animated or not animated.
Alright yeah that's it. Feel free to put your own opinions in the comments and why you think that. I'm not gonna judge others for their preference.

2023.09.15 11:04 o0oiwio0o [Thank You] for this bouquet of cards!

u/93Nino x9
u/wabisabi_sf x3
u/celpel x2
u/rebelraf
u/cloudycat4
u/35Days
u/Neverbeentooz
u/fruitbb
u/TheSouthernPansy
u/finer_things_in_life

u/93Nino x9 thank you so much for all the cards and all the photos!!! It was fun reading through your mini stories and meeting your cute son. I snickered a bit seeing how half of them were about the cold Finland and the other half were about the hot Florida; what a contrast!
u/wabisabi_sf x3 wow! You're too generous! All these amazing cards and a bunch of other goodies... Thank you!!! I had a great time reading your descriptions and looking at the pictures 💛
u/celpel x2 both of the cards are wonderful! Thank you! I was getting goosebumps looking at them. Those pictures seem alive, and they make me recall days and emotions from my childhood that were lost somewhere deep in my subconsciousness. The stamps you chose, and the stories you wrote are amazing as well! Thank you!!!
u/rebelraf thank you for the cool postcard of a mystery structure from Pittsburgh! I feel like I've seen something similar not too far from me, but it's hard to tell without seeing the whole thing. I feel like people in your study field should be allowed a minor charge or two 😁... You should get acqauinted with what you are going to be dealing with once you graduate, haha.
u/cloudycat4 thank you for the beautiful card and postal hugs! I'm doing rather well; there is just some emptiness left inside of me.
u/35Days thank you so much for the beautiful postcard, stamps, and poem! I love it all!
u/Neverbeentooz thank you for the interesting card and such enthusiastic encouragement!
u/fruitbb thank you for the Rocky Mountain National Park postcard! I absolutely adore it! You've added a sniff and scratch sticker, but I, sadly, cannot test it out because of a cold. My nails are itching to scratch at it... Ah, the torture. If you don't mind me asking, why did my username make you think of this specific card?
u/TheSouthernPansy thank you for the postcard depicting Pancha Rathas! Has my postcard reached you yet?
u/finer_things_in_life thank you for the touristy card! I am happy to hear that you two had an enjoyable summer! The amount of scrapped letters I have produced could be transmuted back into a tree or two. If you don't mind, I'd still like to keep our correspondence, but I will need some more time. There is so much drama going on around me 🥴

2023.09.07 17:57 PinkPengin [Thank You] Chipping away at the pile

I had a great end of July and start to August, and then I got sick and we got into a fight with our homeowner's association about the feral cat colony we help care for, and work got icky, and mostly I'm just barely getting through my days right now.
But I am trying to at least chip away at some thank-yous, which have piled up and are stressing me out. You are all so kind and I promise that I will keep going on these til I get everyone thanked. I also have a separate post coming to thank those of you who sent cards to my son, so please keep an eye out for that too.
I HAVE finally read most of my mail, at least - I wasn't even able to do that for a bit - and you have all helped make a trying time much better. So even if these thanks notes aren't very personal, please know I appreciate you, yes, you, individually. <3
u/zenshark33 and u/kittycatcon - Thank you both for separate postcards you sent to my Washington house! Sale is pending, finally, so hopefully I will be all Arizona, all the time, very very soon.
u/babyraspberry (x2) - Thanks for the vintage Colorado Rocky Mountains postcard (with bonus not really flairable but still cool thanks to u/KoreWrites who shared that with you!) and thanks for the upcycled Mount Taranaki, New Zealand, calendar card and washi sampler.
u/blue-wanderer-quartz - Thank you so much for the We Are All Connected card with my sigil, and the stickers!
u/cookalot - Thank you for the amazing penguin card!
u/DoraDoodle - Thank you so much for the old Route 66 scenes drawn postcard with the map from your road trip!
u/Fancykiddens - Thank you for the Reno fireworks postcard!
u/HexagonalRainbow - (I owe you SO many thanks, this is just from the earliest batch...) Thank you for the illustrated cat postcard and the photos from Pride, and for decorating this card with such amazing penguin stickers!
u/Intrepid-Researcher - Thank you for this AMAZING envelope with a homemade dragon watercolor card and book list, as well as the blank cards and goodies! You really knocked my socks off with this happy mail!
u/jaimekj - Very belatedly, thank you for the Bigfoot postcard for your 10-year cake day!
u/libertyprogrammer (x2) - I know you're not "around" but I'm still piling up the flair love for you in case you come back! In this case, thank you for the "Louisville said many ways" postcard and the Christmas in July Van Gogh Starry Night-style Christmas scene card.
u/ninajyang (x3) - OMG I just got new mail from you yesterday that I will have special special thanks for but for now, thanks for the Indianapolis postcard, Loupaper sushi postcard and Loupaper pastries postcard! Because heaven only knows when I will handwrite something back, I'll tell you now my answers to the questions I asked you so long ago - if I had to sing any song from a musical and I got a million dollars if it was, like, passable, I'd go with Wait For It from Hamilton. If I -could- sing any song from a musical perfectly, it would definitely be Seasons of Love from RENT!
u/retrorabbit79 - Thanks for the Jenkinson’s Aquarium on the Jersey Shore penguin postcard!
u/SherlockLady (x2) - Thank you for the handmade card with the amazing poem and stickers, and for the handmade old map card for the meta vintage challenge!
u/nonoyo_91 (x2) - My dear friend! Thank you so much for your letter, and for the You Are Valued mini-card. (And for all the goodies - I put that amazing fabric tape on the front of my planner and I rub it when I'm having a hard day, which is HUGE.)
u/thecaledonianrose - Thank you so much for the Princess Jasmine card and penguin stickers!
u/TigerLady13 (x2) - Yet another friend I am embarrassed to have gotten so behind on, and I know you probably aren't even reading this right now. But thank you, first of all, for the Yukon border sign ugly vintage postcard, and for the beautiful thank-you cardinal card following our meetup. I sure hope I will see you again in the future!
u/todayisfab - Thank you for the great Interstate 80 postcard with lots of cool vintage stamps!
u/travel4me22 - Thank you for the handmade You Make the World a Better Place card and the super-fun cat a wearing paper bag sticker, pink penguin sticker (!) and other stickers!
u/yetanotherblankface (x3) - I owe you so many thanks. In this batch - thanks for the Rhapsody of Summer Night postcard (I bought that set too, so I hear you on the phrasings!) and the Frankenmuth City Hall in Michigan postcard and the dictionary-page-with-flowers postcard. I love those dictionary ones too.
u/ying-tao - Thank you so much for the vintage recipe collage postcard! I actually do a lot of junk journaling and I was in a challenge to do a spread that included something "kitchen-themed," and I actually used your postcard on the spread! So it got an extra life, as it were!
And finally for now, thank you to my fellow Seattle meetupers u/TigerLady13, u/sneezeburgerandfries, u/kk6321, u/powelale000, u/wabisabi_sf and u/luxsloth for sending ME a card from our event, the Washington bird and flower illustrations postcard. You are all amazing and meeting you was such a highlight!

2023.08.09 05:32 Hhediakchigashi [request] Cards or postcards to lift my spirits up [Canada]

Edit x3: I’ve recieved most or all of the cards, this was my first time doing this, im in awe, truly, thank you to ALL the senders! I will be writing an individual post thanking everyone slowly chipping away, when I’m able to in the next few weeks. Bear with me pls!
Hello friends, I could use some kindness and positivity. I hope this is the correct way to make requests for postcards/cards.
Due to several things going on in my life, I am feeling very isolated, alone and down in the dumps. I want to believe in the magic of people and connection, I’d love to request positivity in forms of thoughts, stories, poems, quotes, something about you, or just any random wholesomeness to lift my spirits up on cards or postcards. Please comment and I will message you the address.
Edit : Some things I like - nature, travel, studio Ghibli, sunflowers, Van Gogh, Klimt, sci-fi art, moody dark themes, abstract, colours, green, yellow, pink, purple, pastels, sunshine, beaches, water, kawaii, psychedelic art, handmade, penguins, culture, gardens, bougainvillea, rain, thunder, space, aurora borealis.
Thank you!
Edit x2: the post is closed.
