Not sure what is going on with me. Ever since yesterday (Monday) evening, I have felt tightness in my chest when I breathe deeply. It wasn’t super noticeable until this morning. It did wake me up once in the night. Since this morning, I feel like I can’t breathe deeply and my lungs ache in my upper chest when I do , I am a bit short of breath, I have aches in my head, neck, and shoulders, slight cough when it feels like my breath is taken away, and I now have a fever (peaked at 102). I went to my doctor and had a negative COVID test, negative flu test, negative xray for pneumonia, and the ct scan showed no pneumonia or blood clot. My doctor is saying she suspects a viral infection but the chest tightness/lunch ache seems like a weird symptom of a virus.
Back story is I had my surgery may 1st and recovery went well. I used a brand new cool mist humidifier every night and most days. At night I will note that the humidifier would fog out my whole room to the point where it was visible. I was not warned by my ENT about pneumonia risk. I rested/laid down elevated majority of my recovery. I did get up periodically but did not know I should make a point of it.

Hello all, looking for some feedback or assistance on ways to reinforce some specific spots/layers in a model that are rendering weaknesses once printer. Attached are some pictures and files. From the internal views in F3d and Xray in Cura, there don’t appear to be any defects causing layer weakness and the points in the model where either cutouts are former or internal edges are formed. Printing was with Tough Pla at ~75% infill/220C, even those specific layers I added support blockers and printer certain sections at 100%. But with all that, a simple drop on the floor and these weak spots pop the model apart. There are clear visible lines on the outside of the printed model where the weak layers are. Hope I explained that correctly, and feedback/assistance is appreciated. Thanks!

Little back story I had right knee surgery (scope and patellar repair) earlier this year and I've been having way more pain than expected by both me and the original surgeon 4 months post op. He kept swearing to me my knee was fine and refused to look at anything else as an issue as he said he just knows knees. In frustration I went to the best surgeon I knew of (should have went to him first as a a family member used to work for him but I didn't have a referral as he's a Pro sports team head physician).
I managed to get my first appointment with him he looks at my knee and thinks the same, looks fine. He then ask about my hips and lower back after my hip popped when he was rotating my hips and knees around(I've had hip and lower back pain for 11 years now from when I hurt my hip, its just been a dull ache that flairs up often. I thought this was just a normal thing of life and to keep popping my hip and back every morning and through out the day to help with pain. I thought my hips were just point? as the reason for them to be hurting while sitting anywhere on my right site and to be in pain after standing for 30+ minutes. I thought lower back). We went and did XRAYs that showed a CAM hip impingement and then he scheduled me for MRIs and an arthrogram as he suspected the labrum tear due to the easy of getting my hip to pop. I just got done with my second appointment with him and after the 2 MRIs and an arthrogram confirming the tear.
Report showed it to be nondisplaed labral tear anterosuperior to superior spanning 16mm. No displaced fragments. No cysts. The Cartilage has surface irregularity. No high-grade or full thickness loss. Contrast distends the joint space without extravasation. Ligament teres is intact. Tenosynovistis. The capsular ligaments are maintained.

The Doc explained to me that the CAM and labrum tear (which he said was torn and frayed) are likely what's caused me to compensate in my posture and cause my knee issues along with my lower back pain. He also explained that I essentially had two options PT to strengthen the area to try to mitigate pain or surgery as this isn't going to heal on its own. As I've dealt with this for 11 years now, it started with severe pain (i thought it dislocated when squatting my max in high school due to the pop i felt) and has gone into a dull ache that I thought I needed to just pop my back and my hips when it got locked or caught was normal, I know that strengthening my core will help the area but I does not fully help the pain as I was recently in some of the best shape I've ever been in after I picked up running but apparently my hips and knee didn't agree much with that after 2 years.
Will PT really help me much? I've been in PT since January for my knee recovery but shifting focus to my hip is daunting as its always been a tender area for me that I've just accepted. Has anyone had similar symptoms to me with knees, back and hip pain get that got better with surgery? I am waiting to talk with the next ortho surgeon who specializes in hips (he's also a pro sports team head physician) so I am very confident in his ability to fix the issue if I went that route but wanted to know if its worth it. the chance of alleviating a lot of my pain areas. I've already hit my max out of pocket this year so it'd be free but from my reading online its likely a 6 month recovery process post surgery.

Medications: Zoloft 25mg, Iron 25mg, vitamin D 4000.
December 2023 started experiencing chest/shoulder pain on left side. Had a chest xray, EKG, holter monitor and echocardiogram done. All results normal with diagnosed Bradycardia.
Bloodwork showed just below normal WBC and Lymphocytes. Low Ferratin. Low Vit D. All other results normal. Rheumatoid Factor normal. C Reactive 0.8. Thyroid work up normal. EBV negative.
Dentist also did oral exam and X-rays during this time which showed no concern.
January 2023 I noticed 3 submandibular nodes swollen, 1 cervical node swollen and 1 supraclavicular node swollen. All left side. Ultrasound done on Supraclavicular node indicates it was reactive. I have not been sick since COVID in 2022.
All nodes the size of a bean, soft (other than one hard submandibular), and movable.
April 5 2024 I caught a respiratory illness and I developed a golf ball sized Cervical node which has since gone down. My cold symptoms improved in around a week. Now for the last 2 weeks I’ve had a left submandibular node which seems to be growing slightly each day. I have been palpating it so I don’t know if that’s irritating it more, however it went from the size of a pea to visible on my neck within 3 days.
I checked the back of my throat to see if there’s anything there that could be causing the lymph swelling. It looks like my tonsils are pretty asymetrical and the left one has a weird white spot on it. I also appear to have cobblestone throat that seems inflamed?
My doctor is reluctant to request any further tests at this point, and I’m just looking for reassurance or a second opinion. I’m in Canada so unable to access another doctor as we have such an overburden system and testing is difficult to get as is.

Hello, 26(f) Sudden pain on the inside of my left foot. Not directly my heel but a little downwards. On the side and bottom of my foot. I can feel swollen tendons or nerves moving around in comparison with my right foot? Idk. I'm not an expert. I've never had foot problems before, so this sudden pain has definitely drawn my attention. Its throbbing right now because ive been poking at it since discovering this pain. Today is Wednesday, and this past Saturday I went on a 7 hour canoe ride, and was somewhat walking on some very large, bulky rocks and my shoes were super foamy and moldable so they weren't solid protection if that makes sense. I don't recall hurting my foot though? Anyways, I also have an office job and don't use my feet a lot (I know this isn't good. I'm aware I need more steps in my day) my concern is: did I injure my foot on Saturday? And why is it just now hurting 3 days later? I also had a horrible sunburn that's just now gone away. Should I go ahead and get an xray to be safe? Have I permanently messed up my foot? There is no visible bruising that I can see.
Also to note: my foot has been fine my whole life. Never had foot problems.

As the title says I've reached a point that I'm not sure what to do anymore about my shoulder. About 10 years ago I hurt it at work catching a roughly 100lb box that was falling from a high set of rollers. I felt something catch in my shoulder but kept working through the rest of the night. The next morning when I woke up I was stuck in a position where my whole neck was leaned to the affected side with very limited ROM to my right shoulder. At the ER they said a muscle strain w/o any imaging and sent me on my way. Several months later I used my right arm to simply reach into a cabinet felt the same catch and was stuck in the previous position described for another week. Yet again was told a muscle strain and sent on my way. This happened a few more times throughout the years since initial injury.
A few years later I started noticing that I was not only in on again off again pain but that now my shoulder felt loose and like it was partially coming out of place while picking up heavy objects. This has continued for atleast 5 years. This loose visible subluxation (I believe is what it is called) has continued to get worse to the point I can not grab a gallon of milk or laugh with my arms by my side without it happening.
The pain has now started becoming more bothersome and is accompanied with pretty severe weakness to the affected side. Within the last few weeks I have had an xray and mri which both showed nothing. I'm at a loss I'm in pain and it's affecting even the smallest everyday tasks now. Any advice on what I should do now? I'm at a loss. (I apologize for the long post but wanted to get the whole backstory in) For reference I'm a 28 yo female thanks!

Hi all, I have had a root canal on my back molar since I was young. The last couple days I noticed some pressure and pain, which obviously should not be happening since there's no nerve there. I schedule an emergency appointment, and they take an xray and see dark under the root.
She prescribes me antibiotics and pain killers, and refers to a specialist for the root canal. She said he will let me know if they can save the tooth or not.
Of course now I'm a bit freaked, cause I started going to Doctor Google on what happened. All of a sudden I'm seeing posts about people dying within days and the infection spreading and all that jazz.
There is no visible abcess and when I asked the woman if this is urgent, she said the pain and antibiotics should help but it will ultimately need more attention.
My concern is I'm leaving the country on Thursday for 10 days, so while I'll still have some antibiotic treatment left and pain killers, I won't be able to have a root canal or anything until end of the month. Am I overreacting to be nervous about this all? The last thing I want to do is hop on a cruise ship and have a catastrophic event or something.
Am I OK to take my vacation in less than 5 days after just receiving this news?

Ive had my girl about 11 years now, and ~2mo ago she stopped using her back legs. Took to vet, no MBD, no major injury though a small oddity on back pelvis that couldve been due to xray angle or a mostly healed injury. He deemed a possible kidney failure beginnings causing paralysis to hind legs, or an injury.
We did injections in case of infection, and to reduce any swelling around injury to see if movement would come back. Its been a bit, and no notable improvement
Overall, she seems fine. Shes dragging herself out to say hi during food time, drinking fine, shedding decently well but needs assistance towards the back. I have her in a large tupperware quarantine container on paper towels, and was told that this may need to be her permanent home, or if I feel it is necessary, euthanasia.
My question is, is this ethical? Shes not in visible pain or stress, but i know these little guys are sometimes too tough for their own good. If so, how does one set up a breeder-esque tote for her? I have heard such mixed reviews on heat pads and other heat sources, and as a result have her quarantine jail crammed into her regular cage with the thermostat sensors temp-rigged onto it. Whats the reccomendation?

Hey my second molar on the upper left has been having an on and off toothache for the last couple days now. I went to the dentist and they did an xray which showed that I had a deep filling done on that tooth about 3-4 years ago. I tried asking more questions but the dentist was quite arrogant while seeming like he did not care at all and only said that I should get a root canal if the pain progresses to a severe level. Does anyone have an idea on what could potentially be wrong with the tooth? I dont feel any visible cracks on the surface and the pain is on and off not constant. The tooth is sensitive and I can sometimes feel pain when I bite down using the tooth. Would I be able to wait a few months for this if I need a root canal as I cannot afford a procedure like this at all at the current moment. Recently few days ago my brother(13 y/o) was having intense stomach ache doctors suggested for xray and sonography after that they immediately said he needed operation and they thought the problem was his appendix it was removed and even after that he was still suffering from pain so they did another x-ray after operation the doctors told us we could feed him food after a day or so he only ate 2-3 spoons of khichadi(a dish made from rice and pulses without many spices) he had gas so there wasn't much visible area around his intestine they had to give him enema and his stomach was all clear they then did the xray and again said they had to do another surgery and said there was a leak in his intestine everyone was tensed because of this and everyone in my family started crying later the surgeon called my father and told him that some part of his intestine near the appendix had infection and they had to remove it and do a colostomy operation(as I searched on google) they basically attached a pipe to a bag next to his bed and they are saying he will take 3-4 or 4-5 months to heal and then another operation to remove the colostomy bag he is still in hospital the operation was done yesterday he has a pipes everyone in his body one for urination and one in his nose they are saying it's for vomit or any gas issue a green liquid is getting out from there and getting collected in bags, I just need few answers.thank you. Is this process really 3-4 months long? Will this effect his diet forever? Should we get him home after well the doctors are saying there is a red liquid getting out from the tube connected to his intestine when it's fully out they will free him? Was there any fault from surgeon's side? 😢How much more pain he had to go through now?

26, married, no job, mentally ill, can’t hold a job, general nuisance.
I’m not sure what the point is my entire life feels like a joke. Every job I’ve ever had I can’t last, I can’t tolerate any type of disrespect and have been over emotional since I was a kid, and people think I always have an attitude bc I’m a black woman who is quiet most of the time. I’ve been told this multiple times that I look like I have an attitude when I had no idea, it’s like I have to maintain a permanent smile to make people comfortable.
Labor jobs make me nauseous, after a couple of hours of the repetitive movements I’m constantly in and out of the bathroom. This suddenly started while I was working 10 hr shifts at Amazon, and it just never went back to normal. No one believes me and thinks I’m just lazy, I’ve gone to the doctor but they did an xray to see if I had visible stomach issues and found nothing, even an endoscopy. So people just think I’m lazy and at this point whatever. I get nauseous randomly even when at home to where I have to take a break from cooking or cleaning things or else I’ll become too nauseous to stand up.
I’ve been trying to start a business since 2020 and make some returns but am still struggling, tried learning something new to make money and everything seems like a scam. Just people making money solely off of teaching others to make money.
My husband is treated expectedly better than me, been together since highschool and since then people thought he was too good for me, literally would laugh at holding hands. I’ve been told I’ve “won” which clearly says I should feel lucky to be with him bc I’m not deserving. He’d be better off without me in the long run all he does is spend his time consoling me these days.
