The end of the decade saw the spec collapse as manufacturers ran up costs in a vicious pursuit for advantage. But the rivalries, races and radical body-kits influenced what touring car racing and underground car scenes would be in the new millennium.
MNRL will tour the globe, visiting some of the tracks from each of the regional series where these cars battled it out and relive the glory of tight, sprint racing that fans remember best. And now drivers can enjoy races Tuesday evenings US timing or Wednesday evenings Euro timing.

Facing a lawsuit alleging rape, MAGA podcaster DJ Akademiks threatens to expose others
Podcaster and streamer DJ Akademiks is facing allegations of rape and defamation, according to a lawsuit filed on Monday. Akademiks, whose real name is Livingston Allen, has a podcast and video content that focuses on the music industry, and hip-hop news in particular.
Allen has gained a right-wing following in recent years, seemingly due to his support for Donald Trump and his conspiratorial attacks on Black women in the public eye, like Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and rapper Megan Thee Stallion. He’s managed to parlay his notoriety into a massive online engagement that nets his interviews with well-known figures like Donald Trump Jr. The new allegations against Allen, made by writer Fauziya Abashe, are laid out in a civil lawsuit filed in New Jersey, where Allen lives. Abashe claims in her lawsuit that things went awry after she was invited to Allen’s house one July night in 2022.
Abashe says Allen invited her over on July 16, but that she was greeted, drugged, and raped on Allen’s pool deck by two men she didn’t expect to be there. Abashe claims she was given a drug that caused her to lose consciousness, and that she awoke early the next morning as Allen was “brutally raping her.”
Her suit claims the alleged rape by Allen’s friends was captured on surveillance footage and that Allen played the footage back for her. Abashe says in the suit that she recorded audio of Allen admitting to sexual intercourse with her and obtained a rape kit that contained traces of his spermicide.
Abashe’s lawsuit states that she went to the police with her claims but “chose silence” until Allen spoke online about the incident. Her defamation allegation stems from Allen’s claim in a December 2023 video that he hadn’t had sex with Abashe. Instead, he said, “She was getting trained by my two men on my pool deck.”

The rape allegations are part of a civil case, meaning the burden of proof is significantly lower if her suit goes to trial than if Allen were charged with a crime.
Allen issued a denial on his video stream Tuesday, calling the allegations a “shakedown” and blaming them on his race, his popularity, and alleged “ramifications” of his role in hyping up the beef between rappers Drake and Kendrick Lamar.
Allen also gave this statement:
“My only comment should be [that] whatever this is will be handled in court. Just know, according to the law and according to the police and according to all sanctioning governing authorities, Akademiks is an innocent man who has not ever been charged with anything of the sort that has to do with any deviancy or anything like that, has never been charged, will never be charged. That’s a fact.”
The above was not Allen’s only statement on the matter. He ended by offering a pretty grim threat to other folks in his industry: “Let me tell y’all this about everybody in the industry — I’mma tell y'all this right now: if Ak ever goes down, y’all [are] all going down with me. ‘Cuz I hold no secrets from anybody.”

Just 6 months ago, GPT was barley able to get a long division problem right in its first try. Now the damn thing is speaking 😂
And ever since OpenAI’s stream, I've been seeing more and more AI, specifically Safari’s beta AI now being the first result that pops up instead of a pre-wrotten website’s.
(and apparently iPhone update 18 and tthe iPhone 16 are now supposed to apples full step into the AI race.)
To sum it all up, it all feels like it's moving so fast. Will I be able to keep up? Is AI now going to be in everything we do? The slim possibility that machines can become sentient? And also, if it would even be worth continuing my education so that I can get the job of I want if AI will just take it in the future…
Thanks for listening to this rant, but if you have any words of consultation that could help with this, it would be greatly appreciate. 😂👍🏾

2024.05.16 00:47 Dont_hate_the_8 All Star Break: How it's going

Well, we're 13 races in, and it's time for a break. I thought it'd be fun to do a breakdown of how all of our seasons have gone so far. Unfortunately, fortunately, however you want to look at it, I have found myself in the lead of the league I run. The competition has been tough all year, with the standings changing every race. Still a lot of racing to get to, but let's take a look at what's behind us.
As of now, there's 3 pretty distinct groups in the standings. 1st throught 4th have put a bit of a gap on the rest of the pack, while 5-8th are in a heated battle in the middle, and 9th-12th are all following close behind. Some players have been consistent, some have been hit and miss, and some have seemed to be a bad luck charm to whoever they pick *ahem* u/26007, cough cough. Anyways, here's the breakdown.
u/Dont_hate_the_8: After a little bit of a rocky start, I've found my footing, and have slowly rose from the mid pack to the top. Highlighted by picks of Ty Gibbs at Bristol, and Bubba Wallace at Texas.
u/joeyshoe87: Similarly, after a not great first half of the season, the heat was turned on. A rise to P2 in the standings was highlighted by picks of Kyle Larson at Richmond and Denny Hamlin at Dover.
u/SBMVPJustinHerbert: Perhaps the most consistent player, yet to make a bad pick. This has been rewarded with a 3rd place in standings, with standout picks of Blaney at Phoenix and Chase Elliott at Martinsville.
u/millertimexii: A very strong start that has tailed off a bit, but not much. 4th place in standings thanks to picks like Kyle Larson at Vegas (60 points!) and and Chris Buescher at Bristol.
u/Garak_The_Tailor: 5th place in standings, very hit and miss early on, but has settled into a more consistent rythym. Great 23XI picks with Bubba at Daytona and Reddick at Vegas.
u/ChaseTheFalcon: After joining us for Martinsville, he's been doing solid, with picks like Briscoe at Texas and Larson at Dover.
u/Yay_nascar_donuts: Started out cool, but has turned up the jets the last month or two. Highlighted picks are Bowman at Dover, and Hamlin at Martinsville.
u/pudge2424: Not the best of luck so far for pudge, but it's no fault of his own. He has had good picks like Kyle Larson at Dover and Corey Lajoie at Daytona.
u/Outsidefactor4308: Again, some bad luck towards the bottom of the standings. To quote him "I am amazed at how bad I am at this" despite going on to score 51 points that week with Martin Truex Jr.
u/HighVoltLemonBattery: I am at an awe for how talented he is at picking a top car to crash. Bravo! When his pick does finish the race, they do generally do well, like Ty Gibbs at Cota and Bubba Wallace at Texas.
u/26007: Oh boy. The early season points leader had a Jimmie Johnson style dropoff, but through no fault of his own. When luck is on his side, the picks score well, like Bubba Wallace at Atlanta and a great pick of Zane Smith at Cota.
Note: What I've noticed is that doing well in this is more about maximizing your worst days, then your best. The top 4 in points are the only ones who have yet to have a single digit points day.
Pick of the week: u/Garak_The_Tailor picked WIlly B for 38 points this weekend. Well done!

2024.05.16 00:02 thesedays1234 Would Bristol Dirt have been a success if it wasn't held on Easter?

We all know Bristol Dirt has lost its race. The thing is, I know a ton of people who absolutely wanted to travel for that event and the only thing that stopped them was when it was announced it was on Easter Sunday. It was a standout and unique event, something that isn't on the schedule elsewhere.
Two Bristol races on concrete is rather lame, obviously the Bristol night race in the fall is the premier event. Why would anyone go out of their way to attend a Bristol Spring concrete race?
Why did Nascar put the unique Bristol dirt races on such a sacred holiday in a southern bible belt state? Why not give it another chance with a more favorable date?

2024.05.15 21:03 veryphoneaddicted i met death grips in group therapy

one day i was kutting myself in my bathroom and then the razors got dull because i cut myself so many times. i decided to go to the store to get more razors. i dodged some homeless people doing heroin trying to rob me and went to the store. i heard "im in your area", "up my sleeves", and "noided" so i turned behind me and the homeless methheads were actually death grips! omfg i was so stoked, i started jumping so much the steri strips on my cuts fell off and they reopened, making a red fountain of excitement. and then the cops turned around the corner and had all of us go to group therapy because they thought were were all mentally ill. the group therapy was with a busty blonde woman and mc ride started seducing her and saying "i want it i need it to feel heated". after about two minutes she fell head over heels in love and they started having sex. when she had an orgasm she started crying because she was a race traitor and now her baby was going to be born half black (she couldnt get an abortion). mc ride started having a mental breakdown. meanwhile the other two white guys started trying to seduce me. but white men are all part of the patriarchy and i wouldnt have sex with them, so they gave up and started having sex with each other. it was like a cute yaoi couple and it was so hot i started jerking off. i jerked off a lot and then i started crying because i just bust a nut to the patriarchy. when the police came in everyone was crying except the patriarchy, who were now fisting each other. everyone stopped having intercourse and crying to bolt out the door while we had the chance. death grips ran toward a drug dealer and i ran in the opposite direction because i didnt want to get robbed. the therapist had tears streaming down her cheeks and was walking to planned parenthood.

2024.05.15 20:41 KaleidoscopeFew4333 Here's How to Watch the PGA Championship 2024 for Free

Golf fans, get ready, because it's time for the men's second major of the year: The 106th PGA Championship. Returning to Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, for the fourth time (and the first time since 2014), the 2024 PGA Championship will see big names, including defending PGA champ Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy — fresh off his Wells Fargo title win — Scottie Scheffler and Tiger Woods competing for the $17.5 million purse.
Watch PGA Championship 2024 Live
The 106th PGA Championship begins Thursday at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville. The field features 16 former PGA champions, including Brooks Koepka, who won the 2023 PGA Championship and looks to repeat. Justin Thomas has returned to his hometown, seeking his third PGA Championship.
The first two rounds are set for Thursday and Friday, and the initial field of 156 golfers will be cut to the top 70 players and ties after the second round. Are you ready to follow all the action on the green at Valhalla? Here’s how to watch the 2024 PGA Championship, including the full TV schedule and more.

How to watch the 2024 PGA Championship:

What channel is the 2024 PGA Championship on?

For US viewers, the PGA Championship will air mainly on ESPN and CBS. There will be select coverage streaming on ESPN+, and the Golf Channel's alternative coverage airing on its network and streaming on Peacock.
ESPN will air the majority of the first two rounds of the tournament on Thursday and Friday, and then ESPN and CBS will share the third and final rounds on Saturday and Sunday. ESPN+ will have early coverage before the ESPN and CBS broadcasts all four days of the tournament and will also stream the practices Wednesday before the tournament begins.
Who is playing in the 2024 PGA Championship?
Brooks Koepka is the defending PGA champ headed into the 2024 tournament. Koepka will be joined by Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Tiger Woods and more big names in golf.

How to watch the PGA Championship without cable:

To watch the PGA Championship 2024 without cable, you have several options. Firstly, check the official PGA Championship website for any live streaming options they may offer. Many major sporting events now provide online streaming services for viewers without cable subscriptions.
Secondly, consider signing up for streaming services that include sports channels. Providers like Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, Sling TV, and fuboTV often carry channels that broadcast golf tournaments, including the PGA Championship. These services typically offer free trials, allowing you to test them out before committing.
Thirdly, explore network-specific apps. Channels like NBC Sports, CBS Sports, and ESPN frequently offer live streaming through their apps or websites. If the PGA Championship is airing on one of these networks, you may be able to watch it without cable by logging in with your internet service provider credentials.
If you're in an area with good reception, you might also try using a digital antenna to pick up local channels broadcasting the tournament. This can provide a free option for watching the PGA Championship without cable.
Stream the PGA Championship on Paramount+
For streaming the PGA Championship coverage on CBS, you'll need the Paramount+ with Showtime tier, available for $12. The subscription is ad-free and includes live access to your local CBS channel.
In addition to sporting events like the PGA Championship, March Madness, Premier League and Champions League games, Paramount+ offers a host of other hit shows, new and classic movies and live sporting events. Unlike a lot of other streaming services these days, Paramount+ still offers a one-week free trial — so new subscribers can sign up to watch the tournament this weekend and check out the rest of the Paramount+ library totally free for seven days.
Stream the PGA Championship on ESPN+
For ESPN+ subscribers, early PGA Championship coverage will stream daily through the tournament. An ESPN+ subscription starts at $11 a month and grants you access to exclusive ESPN+ content, including all UFC PPV prelims, select F1 races, other live events, fantasy sports tools and premium ESPN+ articles.
Watch the Golf Channel's Live From the PGA Championship Peacock
While Peacock and NBC may not be airing the 2024 PGA Championship, the platform will have the golf Channel's Live From the PGA Championship coverage streaming live on the platform. A $5.99/month ad-supported Peacock subscription lets you stream live sports and events airing on NBC and thousands of hours of shows and movies, including beloved sitcoms such as Parks and Recreation and The Office and even recent theatrical releases.
Or for $12 monthly, you can upgrade to an ad-free subscription which includes live access to your local NBC affiliate (not just during designated sports and events) and the ability to download select titles to watch offline.
Is Tiger Woods Playing in the PGA Championship?
It's hard to say Tiger is guaranteed to play due to the injuries he's been battling over the past few years. However, the 15-time major champ has confirmed he's going to take a crack at the 2024 PGA Championship. Tiger was recently spotted practicing at Valhalla course and has told several outlets be plans to participate. Woods has won the PGA Championship four times in his career (the last time he won was in 2007). The 48-year-old is not expected to take the trophy this year but will no doubt be one of the biggest names to watch.
How to Watch PGA Championship Live Stream in The US
Golf fans in the US can watch PGA Championship live streams on ESPN and CBS. ESPN has coverage of all four days, while CBS will broadcast Saturday's third round and Sunday's final round.
No cable? No problem. Try a cord-cutting service like Sling or Fubo to watch the golf. There are no long contracts with these services, so you can try them and cancel whenever you've had enough. Fubo has the advantage of including both ESPN and CBS (as well as NBC's Golf Channel) in its $79.99/month Pro package – alongside 178 other channels.
The ESPN Plus streaming service will also host live coverage of the 2024 PGA Championship across all four days. A subscription costs $10.99/month or $109.99 annually. And you can watch CBS's coverage of the 2024 PGA Championship on the Paramount Plus streaming service. You'll need a Paramount Plus with Showtime subscription to watch the CBS Sports live stream. That will set you back $11.99/month or $119.99/year.
How to Watch PGA Championship Live Stream From The UK
In the UK, Sky will be your destination as Sky Sports Golf will televise action from the PGA Championship. A Sky Sports subscription will give you access to all nine Sky Sports channels, with the option to view in 4K and HDR (provided you have an HDR-ready Sky Q box and HLG-compatible TV).
Another option is Sky's Now Sports streaming service. You can get 24 hours of viewing for £14.99, or month-long access for £34.99 – though cheaper deals are often available.
How to Watch PGA Championship Live Stream From AUSTRALIA
In Australia, the most comprehensive golf coverage is offered by Kayo Sports where you can check out Fox Sports, which broadcasts the PGA Tour coverage. Not only can you watch a PGA Championship live stream from Kentucky, it's also the place to go for all the PGA Tour and DP World Tour events, and the other Majors. You can watch events from the LPGA Tour, too.
On top of all that, Kayo Sports offers access to over 50 sports live and on-demand, with some its big name channels including Fox Sports, ESPN, and beIN Sports. It's also good value at either $25 for Kayo One or $35 for Kayo Basic. Basic lets you stream sport on two devices at once.
2024 PGA Championship broadcast schedule:
Wednesday, May 15, 2024
Thursday, May 16, 2024
Friday, May 17, 2024
Saturday, May 18, 2024

2024.05.15 20:27 GolfAndGamble Conor McGregor just partnered with Duelbits - first live stream is on Monday

Duelbits definitely opened their pockets stepped up their game for this one. I've been a Duelbits fanboy for nearly 4 years, so it's nice to see them finally partner with somebody that I've heard of before. 😅
Conor's inaugural live stream event is scheduled for Monday, May 20th at 18:00 UTC (2pm EST). I believe it will be on Duelbits' Kick account, but don't quote me. The $150k Conor Challenge (which is basically just a leaderboard wager race) already started. The challenge ends in 28 days and top prize is $40k.
For those of you who aren't familiar with Duelbits, it's a crypto casino and sportsbook, similar to the likes of Stake, Rollbit, Gamdom, etc. All are very similar in terms of their game offerings, and differentiate through other avenues, such as VIP rewards programs.
Most casinos nowadays have incorporated lossback, but Duelbits held firm with rakeback only. So go ahead and say goodbye to "added 80% to calendar" and unknown equations that may or may not have captured all of your betting activity. 😵‍💫 Sure, Duelbits eliminates the element of surprise, but I'll happily accept 100% transparency over a few surprises mixed into a sea of disappointments.
Staring from day 1, each player is entitled to the following: 10% instant, 5% daily, 5% weekly, 5% monthly and 5% level-up rakeback rewards (which increases by 0.25% each level). So if you are a brand new player on Duelbits, the absolute lowest rakeback % you'll receive is 30%.
For context, I've wagered hundreds of millions of dollars across countless online casinos and have yet to find a casino with a better VIP rewards program than Duelbits. Granted, if you're the type of person that loads a balance and immediately goes all in, then you'll probably want to find a different casino lol.
Additionally, Duelbits has a fully built-out sportsbook with livestreams of the events you're able to bet on. And overall, the UI/UX is super clean, everything loads quickly, and, most importantly, it rarely (if ever) goes down.
Click here to create an account on Duelbits and claim 500 "free" spins.
The reason why I put "free" in quotes is because there is a wager requirement in order to unlock the spins. I'm already two novels deep into what I was expecting to be a short post, so I'll just say this:
After you complete each step (3 total) of the wager requirement ($1.5k total), you'll be credited the free spins (500 total). No additional playthrough requirements, no max win/withdrawal, etc. The spins are gifted to you, free and clear.
Considering that each spin is worth $0.2, the theoretical EV of completing all three stages of the promo is roughly +$60. Math is below.
Side note: If you're located in the US, you'll need a VPN to access Duelbits. KYC is not required, but you might lose the KYC lottery and require verification. In an effort to prevent that from being an issue, I would recommend applying for Palau's Digital Residency Program. It's only $248 and could save you from a world of hurt and potentially open the door to new opportunities (apart from trading on Binance... they already banned it lol).

2024.05.15 19:55 Bonzo90902 Looking for Acquaintances. Potentially Friends?

Greetings. I'm unsure how to begin this message, All I know is it'll be long, so fair warning, Get settled in. Firstly, I'm a dude. Secondly, I'm straighter than a level.
Okay; Here goes: I suppose I'll describe myself. I know if I put my age, someone'll say something about it. So I won't. I'm not the best at communication, that's why I'm here. A job I do have; not a good one; but still a job, in woodworking. I write. Quite a bit, all unpublished, because I've always been unsatisfied with my work, but it's mostly fantasy, I'm in the middle of an apocalyptic fiction that's almost fantasy-esque. Almost. I've been told a number of things about myself, but it all depends on the person that I'm talking too. I'm not very good at recognizing my own mood or emotion, and I've been labeled a "redneck" amongst many other things, but I'm quite formal speaking to people, especially online, at least a majority of the time.
What else... •Music- Rock, mostly. Rock and Rap. None of the new crap. From Zeppelin and Floyd (Can't forget the Beatles) to Motley Crue & Tom Petty, anything (Anything good) in there. Rap? Snoop, '50. There's one newer band I found too. The guitarist's awesome. Dollop is what they're called. They're on Spotify and YT.
•Food-MEAT! Pork, Roast Beef, Chicken, etc. And ofc anything fried.
•Car- '68-69 Chevelle. Preferably not pristine. A little bit of Rust adds character.
•Dream House- Maybe a few thousand sq foot. I'm more focused on the land. Trees galore. Pond or two. In the Country. Noone 'round.
•People often ask what country I'd like to live in other than my current country ('Merica) I'd probably pick Jamaica. Yeh man! Never been out of the country though.
•What am I looking for on here? I don't have many friends In real life, so Hit me up. My DMs are open. I'm not looking for relationships, but I am single, but not much into long distance. If you're over 18 don't even bother if you're looking for a relationship, you're way too old for me, and I'm way too young for ya. But if you just wanna talk, Any age. ANYWAY.
•Movies/Games- Not a single streaming service. I live in White-Trash-Ville Oklahoma. We barley have the Internet. Games tho. I play plenty offline. Favorite Right now? Watchdogs, probably. The first. Assassins Creed is also Awesome. Plenty of Games I like. Nintendo isn't bad either. I also like the racing games.
•Ideal Occupation-Changes. A lot. Indecisive like a MoFo. I'd be happy writing. But it wouldn't make enough cash. I'd like to think I'm good at racing, but I've never really been out on the track. Only dirt in the woods. I can still go anywhere in the Sand rail that anyone else can go in the 4-wheeler. Sure I've broken the frame everywhere imaginable, but the welds have held. The hub on the axle is bent about an inch from it's initial location. Brakes don't work either. Gotta drive it with the throttle. I'm getting off topic. I wouldn't mind being a mechanic either.
•Hobbies- Fishing, Hunting, 4wheeling, Reading, Writing, Thinking I'm cooler than I am.
•Religion-If you've read this far it shouldn't matter. But I am Christian. Not extremist at least.
ANYWAY! Hope you read it all. It's a bit long. If you did, you would've wasted too much time if you don't hit me up. Hopefully I'll be talking to you soon.
Have a Good day and May the Lord Bless you.
