"What was it about?" Himiko asked.
"There were no degenerate males in the world! And all the girls made me their queen!" Tenko sighed. "It was perfect utopia! A utopia...for girls! The sky was pastel pink! The clouds were extra puffy and white! The ocean was also pink and glittery, and all the food we ate was pink, like strawberry cake, strawberry ice cream, strawberry cupcakes, and strawberry milk! And girls of every shape, size, and color were everywhere! Not a degenerate male in sight!"

"Just tell us already, Judge Moody!" Miu spat impatiently. Maki glared at her, then sighed.
"Fine..." she said. "I had a dream where I wasn't an orphan, and I had real, actual parents who loved me. And I was happy and nice to everyone, and I didn't have to worry about being an assassin and stealing peoples' lives." Everyone stared in stunned silence at her. Maki sighed gloomily. "See? I told you it was dumb."
"Geez, that's not dumb at all," Ryoma said. "Sounds similar to my dream, though, I would agree if you had said that wishing for it to happen would be dumb."
"What do you mean, Ryoma?" asked Tsumugi.
"It's pointless to dream or wish for something that will never come true," Ryoma explained. "Even though my dream was...surprisingly delightful, it also felt like a punch in the gut. Hmph...I don't know whether to call that dream a blessing, or a curse."
"What was your dream about?" Kaito asked.
"Well, I'll tell you, but it is depressing," Ryoma warned. "My girlfriend hadn't been killed, and I was back home with her and my cat. And I didn't even play tennis, I wasn't even an Ultimate student. I was a regular guy."
"That doesn't sound depressing at all!" Kaito said.
"But, the fact that it'll never come true is what makes it depressing," Ryoma said. "That's why I say, dreams like that are pointless. It's better to forget about the past and move on with your life"
"Bullshit!" Kaito exclaimed. "C'mon, man, stop whining about how depressing your life is! You say that wishing for the impossible is dumb and it was all in the past, or whatever, so why the hell are you still depressed? If you truly believed that you should move on, you should stop worryin' about the past and look to the future with bright hopes! That goes for you, too, Maki!"
"What? Why me?" Maki asked.
"It's true that you can't change the past, and maybe wishing for it to change is dumb," Kaito explained. "But, if you're still depressed about what happened in the past, it means you can't let go of what happened! You're not moving on! Moving on is accepting what happened, and doing whatever you can to make your life better! Instead of wishing to undo the past, wish for a brighter future! That goes for all of you!" The room fell silent as they stared at Kaito.
"So, anyway, my dream was about me actually becoming the characters that I cosplay!" Tsumugi said, breaking the silence.

"Oh! G-Gonta sorry..." Gonta apologized with a hurt expression.
"You don't have to apologize to her, Gonta," Tsumugi said, glaring at Miu.

"Hey! Cut it out, Miu! Stop yellin' at him!" Kaito yelled.
"Don't tell me what to do, Luke Skyfucker!" Miu shouted back.

"H-Hey! Why everyone fighting?" Gonta asked. "Gonta not mean to start fight!"

"Yeah! In fact, I want another dream!" Miu said. Everyone turned to Himiko, who had been staring at them in horrified silence. "You better whip us up some more cookies, ya little midget, or else!"
"Well, um...you'll have to wait next weekend," Himiko replied in a small voice.
"I ain't waitin' that long!" Miu spat. "So, chop, chop! Get to makin' those damn cookies right now!"
"Nyeh, but...what about school?" Himiko asked.
"Himiko's right, we need to get ready for school," Maki said. But...I think I'd also like more of the cookies." Everyone turned to her in surprise.
"Wait...really, Maki?" Tsumugi asked.
"It was...a really good-tasting cookie...that's all," Maki mumbled, fiddling with one of her pigtails.
"Or is it because you liked your dream?" Angie teased. Maki frowned at her.
"Shut up," she said.
"I...agree with Maki," Ryoma said. "I want to see if I would have a different dream. One that's more...sensible."
"A dream that's...sensible? " Tsumugi repeated.
"Yeah...one that keeps me away from my past," Ryoma explained. "Do you think you can do that for me, Himiko?"
"Nyeh...okay," Himiko said. She knew exactly how to do just that.
Part Twelve
"What was all that ruckus about earlier, Monkey Buns?" Kokichi asked as he and Himiko walked together to school.
"Nyeh...just as I was hoping, my Snoozydoodles gave everyone dreams," Himiko replied. "But, when everyone that I gave them to was talking about their dreams, things got a little out of hand."
"Was that the effect of the magic?" Kokichi asked.
"Well, no...that was because Miu was being her usual, annoying self, and then Tsumugi said something, then Miu snapped back at her, then everything sorta erupted into chaos," Himiko explained.
"Didn't you say a while ago that the dream powder can be addictive?" Kokichi asked. Himiko sighed.
"Yeah...even small doses of the dream powder might cause someone to be addicted," she said. "But, it works really well, and that's why I wanted to put it in my cookies."
"Hmm...I hope you know what you're doing, Himiko," Kokichi said.
"Well...I have another idea where the dream powder might be not as addictive...but the effects will be just as good?" Himiko said with a bit of uncertainty. Then, she blushed. "I...used this method to dream about you before we started dating." Kokichi raised his eyebrows at her.
"Really?!" he exclaimed, grinning.
"Yeah...I had to steal your hair while you were asleep to do it, though," Himiko said quietly.
"Yeah, that's not creepy at all," Kokichi teased, wrapping his arm around Himiko's waist, and giving her a kiss on the cheek. A mischievous grin crossed his lips. "I wanna know what this other method is."

Friday night had arrived. Kokichi was with Himiko in her secret magic room. She was flipping through the spellbook titled, "Inside the Magical Mind." Himiko showed Kokichi the chapter "Build the Perfect Dream," specifically, the romance section.
"Nyeh...these are potions I used to have dreams about you," she explained to him, and pointed to the different dreams. "This is the 'sweet love dream' potion, the 'spicy love dream' potion, and the 'hot and steamy love dream' potion." Kokichi read the description of each dream, his impish grin growing larger across his face as he read.
"So, you drank all of those potions?" he asked, wiggling his eyebrows at her.
"Well, one night, I drank the first one, then the next night, I drank the second," Himiko said. "I secretly gave the last one to Miu, because I was too scared to drink it myself."
"Ugh! You gave it to Miu?! " Kokichi exclaimed in disgust.

"Well...I-I'd feel dirty having the last dream!" Himiko stammered.
"Well, then, why'd you make that potion in the first place?" Kokichi asked.
"Because I was curious!" Himiko said. "But, then my curiosity was replaced by fear and feeling dirty, so I gave it to Miu. It's a good thing I did, too, because..."
"Cuz, why...?" Kokichi asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Because she was doing very...dirty things with you," Himiko replied. "Yeah...we were having our monthly slumber party, and in the middle of it all, Miu was dreaming and...nyeh...screaming."

"Well, she did say that you said that to her in her dream," Himiko said. "But, you only did it to get her to shut up because she kept begging you."

"Ohhhh...Kokichiiii...!" Himiko gurgled with delight, biting her lip. She didn't know Spanish, but he made it sound so good. Kokichi leaned in to give her a passionate kiss.
"Okay, that's enough!" he said, stopping the kiss abruptly.
"W-What?! Wait! No! Moooore...!" Himiko pouted, tugging on Kokichi's sleeve. "I want mooore."
"Nuh-uh, Monkey Buns. Tomorrow is another cookie sale, so we can't get distracted right now. We gotta make these cookies like Hiro...baked! " Kokichi said.
"O-kaaaayyy..." Himiko pouted.
"M'kay, so how are gonna do this, HimiCocoa Bean?" Kokichi asked.
"Well...what genre of potion should I make?" Himiko asked. "There's comedy, action-adventure, romance, horror, fantasy, mystery, aaannnd...lots of other stuff."
"Comedy!" Kokichi said. "Everyone needs a good laugh!"
"Nyeh...okay," Himiko said, then turned to the comedy section of the chapter.
"So, you'll just pour whatever potion you make into the cookie batter, right? And mix it up?" Kokichi asked.

I know all the press releases say 'to be rescheduled' but how likely actually is that? If it doesn't happen in February it's going to have to be after Ramadan (if it stays in Saudi). That then brings the IBF mandatory into play. The IBF have said the winner has to fight Hrgovic, but they won't wait forever. They've shown with Opetaia they don't budge. Do they want to make this fight without Undisputed on the line?
I remember that a poll asking this question was on the main page of this subreddit a few months ago. I am however curious if the recent events and the drawn-out negotiations have changed the subreddit's opinion or not. So who will be victorious in this boxing match if it were to take take place?
It also begs the question of why wasn't Hrgovic on the undercard for this fight in case there was an injury? If it saves the event I'd be happy with either Fury or Usyk vs Hrgovic. As the title says I'm debating a TV upgrade. I live in a large bachelor apartment and scooped up a 65 inch TCL 615R (Canada) over 4 years ago for $900 CAD. It was a heck of a deal at the time and I got very lucky with a mostly clean panel (no banding), only on an all white background you can see it darken at the corners like on most LCD displays. There is blooming of course but it doesn't seem awful to me, but I do find I can't help but look for it which can be distracting.
I've been thoroughly pleased with the set and it's still going strong (hooked up through a Fire Cube as the built in Roku is trash and using a JBL Bar 1000 for sound on Arc, the TCL passes through compressed Atmos which is good enough for me).
It's a fairly bright room but I do have blackout curtains and the GF has a 77 inch A80L in a bright room and hers is still plenty bright for normal viewing, so I'm not concerned about that.
I'm just not sure if this is a worthwhile upgrade.. the TV is currently $2200CAD on Amazon which seems like as low as it will go? I currently have my TCL on a swivel stand and it looks like I just need to get 4 30mm M8 bolts and this one can go on the same stand with the same mounts.
While I do have the $, it's obviously a lot to blow on something I don't need. I'm fine with giving up DV and will be using the Fire Cube anyway... I'm aware Tizen is hot garbage so I'd just set the default input to go straight to the Cube.
I watch some sports, have a PS5 that collects dusts and watch a mix of streaming movies and TV, with Youtube on for most of the day while I work from home.
Am I really missing out on that much? Better blacks, no banding and something a bit more future proof but there's times where the TCL blows me away and when I'm watching the GFs OLED it doesn't seem night and day better than mine other than those two things.
Still I want it. I've considered LG and Sony but the Sammy is on sale and QD Oled does seem more appealing given it's a fairly bright room.
Talk me into or out of this? The price seems great for what it is and Amazon can deliver tomorrow (instant gratification?).

I am in NJ. My company just mandated an RTO, 3 days a week in office, 2 at home. This is only for “local” employees. There is no guideline or policies that have been given to employees on what is local, either with the use of distance or time needed to get into office. We were only told via email and by direct managers. They are promoting “collaboration” and “synergy.”
I am expected to go into office 3 days a week, however they are selectively choosing who has to go in. The sales department, help desk department do not have to go in even if they are considered “local”. I have a friend in the sales department who is 15 mins from office and he does not have to go in. There are also people in my own department who do not. My direct manager, director, and coworker who has the same title as me are remote. There are 2 other people in my department who are considered local yet they get accommodations. J, who is local but commute time is roughly 1H 30M does not have to go in because of commute time. I made aware to my manager that I have the same exact commute time, yet still have to go in. W, who is also local, only has to go in 1 day a week. I believe his commute time is less. There is no real collaboration between me and them because I am client facing and they are technical but we are under the same department. When I asked my director why is there a disparity between me and them, he flat out said worry about yourself. There is no guideline, no fairness, just selective choosing.
I had a meeting with him today to discuss this and he said that this is what is expected of me and I should just follow it blindly, that I shouldn’t ask questions about their accommodations.

My father can do no wrong
For some backstory, my mother(48F) passed away 2 years ago and I(24f) took my dad(52m) in as he doesn't know how to take care of himself. My mom was the perfect woman. She took care of every aspect of his life, from laundry to paying his bills. All he ever did was go to work and bring back money. She loved him dearly and never left him even tho he never did anything she asked. I remember growing up and constantly hearing them scream at each other. My dad would berate her for literally anything she did wrong or what seemed wrong in his eyes. He never hit her tho. Just very controlling and manipulative. The stress gave her liver sirosis and she passed away from liver failure, she never drank. My dad was lost and depressed so me and my husband decided to take him into our guest bedroom for some time until he gets back on his feet. A year later , the problems started. He stopped his "good father act" and began to do to me what he did to our mother. Nothing i did was right. He berated me for minor things, like missing a spot when vacuuming. I started a small business and he would berate me and tell me i would never succeed, and i suck and im stupid. He started bringing his cars to our property. He is a mechanic and has some wierd obsession over easy fixes he can flip, so when he sees a cheep damaged car for sale, he must buy it to fix and resell. However he never gets to the fix and resell part, only the buy part. My husband kept his mouth shut out of respect towards me bcuz I love my dad and tried to believe he would change. But after the 7th car, husband put his foot down and said one has to go or he will tow them all. My dad was borrowing my car at the time and TOOK MY CAR somewhere to lessen the amount of cars on the property. Now, I have a lot of uncles and aunts from my dad's side, and I'm close with most of them. We call occasionally just to chat and catch up. I've told of few of them about the problems to ask for advice, he is their brother after all. Today, he was with one of my uncles and they got in a heated argument bcuz my dad was calling him stupid and berating him bcuz he was having some family troubles, saying stuff along the lines of "you're the man of the house, just smack your wife if she's being so annoying". My uncle was very angry and accidently shouted something like "this is why your kids complain about you being so hurtful and berating them!". My dad immediately called me to confirm if I go around "telling lies" about my father. I said I'm not having this conversation. He went off about how he only treats me with respect and if I said otherwise, then I am a serpent tongued woman who speard rumors and it will be the end of me one day. He said I won't be seeing him anymore if that what kind of lies I tell about him. He plans to leave for work before we wake up and come home late when we're asleep.
I'm genuinely hurt bcuz I know there is no point to telling him he hurts me bcuz I've brought it up before and he would just gaslight me about it and not even acknowledge my pain. I love my dad, even tho he is an absolute narcissist. I took him in, he doesn't pay any bills, I do his laundry, make his food, and clean after him. My father can do no wrong
For some backstory, my mother(48F) passed away 2 years ago and I(24f) took my dad(52m) in as he doesn't know how to take care of himself. My mom was the perfect woman. She took care of every aspect of his life, from laundry to paying his bills. All he ever did was go to work and bring back money. She loved him dearly and never left him even tho he never did anything she asked. I remember growing up and constantly hearing them scream at each other. My dad would berate her for literally anything she did wrong or what seemed wrong in his eyes. He never hit her tho. Just very controlling and manipulative. The stress gave her liver sirosis and she passed away from liver failure, she never drank. My dad was lost and depressed so me and my husband decided to take him into our guest bedroom for some time until he gets back on his feet. A year later , the problems started. He stopped his "good father act" and began to do to me what he did to our mother. Nothing i did was right. He berated me for minor things, like missing a spot when vacuuming. I started a small business and he would berate me and tell me i would never succeed, and i suck and im stupid. He started bringing his cars to our property. He is a mechanic and has some wierd obsession over easy fixes he can flip, so when he sees a cheep damaged car for sale, he must buy it to fix and resell. However he never gets to the fix and resell part, only the buy part. My husband kept his mouth shut out of respect towards me bcuz I love my dad and tried to believe he would change. But after the 7th car, husband put his foot down and said one has to go or he will tow them all. My dad was borrowing my car at the time and TOOK MY CAR somewhere to lessen the amount of cars on the property. Now, I have a lot of uncles and aunts from my dad's side, and I'm close with most of them. We call occasionally just to chat and catch up. I've told of few of them about the problems to ask for advice, he is their brother after all. Today, he was with one of my uncles and they got in a heated argument bcuz my dad was calling him stupid and berating him bcuz he was having some family troubles, saying stuff along the lines of "you're the man of the house, just smack your wife if she's being so annoying". My uncle was very angry and accidently shouted something like "this is why your kids complain about you being so hurtful and berating them!". My dad immediately called me to confirm if I go around "telling lies" about my father. I said I'm not having this conversation. He went off about how he only treats me with respect and if I said otherwise, then I am a serpent tongued woman who speard rumors and it will be the end of me one day. He said I won't be seeing him anymore if that what kind of lies I tell about him. He plans to leave for work before we wake up and come home late when we're asleep.

Hi everyone. I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this but I’m not sure what I can do. My Ex girlfriend and I bought a home together a year ago and she left me for someone else, no one is currently living in the home as we hadn’t even finished renovating it yet. It’s been on the market since October and we’ve been struggling to sell it, she’s now taken the house off the market and intends to live in it with her new partner and continue renovating it before putting it back up for sale. When we bought the house we signed a declaration of trust, she owns 70% of the property and I own 30%. I have continued to pay my 50% of the mortgage and bills as I’m legally obliged to in the terms of the mortgage deal but I’m obviously reluctant to continue paying anything if she’s moving into the house with her partner. I’m desperately looking for a way out of this whole situation as soon as possible and I don’t know what if anything I can do about this.

People of Pittsburgh... Are we just really bad at getting disasters declared in our area? Seems like every time an entirely foreseeable climactic event wipes a town off the map in the south FEMA gives money for new bridges, roads, schools, utilities, and homes. Meanwhile, by virtue of having no "disasters" in the Pittsburgh area we have to pay our own way and our infrastructure is falling apart. Do we just not file disaster declarations? It certainly floods here too...

If this takes place, up to $5 million can be spent on disaster relief without reporting to Congress, though this figure can be increased with approval from the legislature."
I can think of at least 20 "disasters" in the area that could use funding.

This story is so ridiculous that I just had to share it here. I'll never understand calling someone's pet disgusting because you don't like that type of animal, let alone in someone's own house. If that person has such a "gross" animal as a pet, they probably love that animal as much as they would a cat or a dog.
A little bit of context. I live in an apartment complex on the ninth floor and I have a ton of animals, including pet rats, which I breed with as a hobby that I am very passionate about. I also own a bunch of reptiles, which is an odd combination but I love both equally. Not everyone's cup of tea, I know, but it is immediately clear if you come in that they are well taken care of.
I was looking to rehome one of my ball pythons. When rehoming a reptile, I make sure they go to a good home where they will have as much space and expertise as here, if not more. I found someone with a lot of experience a ton of space for this little guy. This is where the story unfolds.
I welcomed the new owner into my home to pick up the snake, who was a very nice young woman. She was together with an older woman, who I assumed was her mother. Her mom immediately went off about how terrified she was of heights. Not an issue, of course. I am scared of heights and a lot of visitors say that they don't like how high up my house is. I tried to say that I was also scared when I first moved in, but she loudly spoke over me and didn't even look at me. I didn't really think much of it and moved on.
I then opened the door to my living room and the first thing this woman sees is some of my rats. She loudly exclaims that "the house is also filled with vermin". I don't live in an English speaking country, so this is not exactly what she said, but more or less the same. Her tone the whole time was just loud and mean and judgmental. As someone with rats and snakes for pets, I am used to people giving me reactions like this, so instead of getting mad, I tried to tell her I love these animals a lot. She once again didn't listen and spoke over me. This is where normally I would just kick her out, but the daughter seemed very ashamed of her mother and I also just wanted this sale to happen. It's not her fault, after all. Also, considering the mother also owned reptiles, I thought it was very weird that she would respond this way, since she probably knows what it's like when people say this about her own pets.
Anyway, I just ignored the woman and talked with the daughter, who was super sweet the whole time. My guess is that she doesn't bother telling her mother to stop because it probably makes things worse. I also mentioned how I was saving up for a service dog and the mom couldn't help but say "in THIS house?". The daughter scoffed at her comment. I guess she said that because I live in an apartment, but I am always at home and have all the time in the world to walk my dog. Or maybe because my living room was a bit messy when this happened. Either way, it's not for her to judge on so little information. Both me and my boyfriend felt like slamming the door in her face after that comment and I think if she'd made one more comment, I would have. I honestly just felt bad for the daughter.
Luckily they left after that. I got some nice pictures of the snake in his now home and I am happy that he went to a good home. The mother can stay in the car next time, though, lol.

• abracadabra1998 ($1.5M Thursday comp. Really good update here, FINALLY! Been waiting for this. This is encouraging for sure. With this growth now maybe shooting for a finish near 1.75 or maybe even approach 2. Eek. Zero sales day only a few days before previews, when you're dealing with a very low baseline. I'm not sure what's happening here (May 15). Most comps did move the right direction. If it keeps trending up perhaps I can see a finish around $1.5M Thursday. One thing to peep at: the MTC1 ratio (59%) is unusually large compared to other family releases. At T-2, other releases' MTC1 % was at: KFP4: 51%, Migration: 34%, Wonka: 59%, Wish: 35%, Trolls: 24%. So much more comparable to Wonka and KFP4; maybe something to think about when looking at keyser's numbers and thinking of the ratio there (May 14). My model has been pretty good for animated/family releases in the past, hence why every comp is so eerily similar. Still, looking at others' numbers and how much lower mine are, I am wondering if summer break might be something to consider here; from what I am aware, here in Minnesota most school districts don't start break until June (May 13). Hoping for some real acceleration this last week but not looking good (May 12). One week out, not impressed in the slightest (May 9). Rising against comps as expected, due to the short release window, but I am still failing to see anything that suggests the numbers given by some other outlets (May 5).)

I wouldn't be shocked with a number between 2 and 2.5 for Thursday, as well as big jumps on Friday and Saturday. The flip side of that coin is the reviews... although kids won't care. Could see 40 happening if this plays super strong in family markets and outside coastal cities like I suspect it could, but I'm surprised the studio didn't low ball it a little more to be safe... especially since we had been very publicly keeping our range in the high 20s/low 30s from the bottom end (May 15).)
  
• TheFlatLannister ($2.39M Thursday comp. Really not much going on. Don't think walkups will be super strong either (May 13). Not much growth (May 10). Pace is collapsing a bit. Continues its downward trend (May 7). After a strong start, this has cooled off quite a bit (May 4).)

• vafrow ($0.6M Thursday comp. Well, we finally got something. It still lags behind comps, and if I could be bothered to track walk ups, I'm guessing this will do okay. But it's still lagging some very reasonable comps by a large margin here (May 16). It's going up, but slowly. The thing that hit me looking at the numbers is that the most popular format so far is the VIP theatres, which are 19+. With such low sales, you can't read too much into anything, but it kind of speaks to how this isn't grabbing the family crowd (May 14). Some marginal movement, but we're running out of time for this. At this stage, I expect my market is an anomaly, but I still hope and expect it will close the gap in the final few days (May 13). Still nothing (May 12). Still nothing happening. I did check Friday sales, and it was a lot stronger with 51 tickets sold. That's better, but still not tremendous. I also checked the wider radius, where it's pretty much exactly where Haunted Mansion was, which hit $3.1M opening (May 11). Still nothing really happening here (May 10). Since the last update, they released full showtime sets, and it actually lost two showtimes rather than gain. From the sound of it, it might be doing better in other Canadian markets, particularly BC (May 8). Numbers are still really low, making the standard track fairly useless. I did do a larger 100km radius track, encompassing the broader southern Ontaro market (~8M population, MTC4 being about 70-80% of the market). Even against Haunted Mansion, which underindexed here, it's not doing well (May 4).)

The Strangers: Chapter 1 Thursday Comps/Predictions: $1.49M/$1.37M

• abracadabra1998 ($1M Thursday comp. Perhaps this will follow the Nun and the Exorcist comps, but I am not fully convinced. I'll just go with the average here and call it a day with my prediction: $1 Million, +/- 0.2. Not much movement here (May 15). Not a good update at all but I am wondering about the summer break deal here as well. For Back to Black it shouldn't affect it much I would think (May 13).)
  
• crazymoviekid ($1.24M Thursday and $4.35M Friday comp. Decent day. Feeling an inch past $1.25M Thursday but much better comps for Friday, aiming now between $4M-$5M. Estimated OW: $14M-$17M (May 16). Comps leveling off. Adjusting up to $1M Thursday and wouldn't trust Friday comp ($10.05M) (May 15). Weird comps. Let's go for $.5M-$.75M Thursday comp.)

• Rorschach ($1.09M/$4.68M/$5.23M Thursday/Friday/Thursday+Friday comp. Decent day for Strangers. Didn't quite continue off yesterday's big bump, but still holding well against the Tarot comp (May 15). More than double from yesterday's count. Curious to see if it keeps up the momentum going forward (May 14). Tarot had more tickets sold for Thursday compared to its Friday showings when I checked the Monday before it came out; hence, why the comps are so all over the place at the moment. The Thurs + Fri comp does appear to be a reasonable middle ground (May 13).)

Furiosa Thursday Comp: $4.31M

• abracadabra1998 ($5.46M Thursday comp. GxK obviously really propping the average up but for now I could see that settling at around $5 Million, still good pace! (May 12). Really good stuff in this market (May 9). Reallyyyyyy good day 1 here. I want to note that: NO I do NOT think preview numbers will be that high; it's just highlighting the fact that this is likely a movie that will be running hot in my market, as cinephile blockbusters usually do. Next update I will have T-14 comps, which will be a lot lower due to the short release window (May 8).)
  
• AniNate (Encouraging to see the weekend fill out a bit. Been seeing a lot of promotion during the basketball playoffs so general awareness has to be getting there now. (May 15). Skimmed through ThuFri and Valley View (Cleveland vicinity) has sold roughly 60 Furiosa tix so far while Tinseltown (Canton) has sold 40. I'm guessing the upfront audience does lean more toward the urban/cosmopolitan sensibilities (May 9). Presales show there's definitely some hype for this. Regal gonna irritate trackers again, offering no upcharge IMAX for Furiosa (May 8).)

• el sid ($5.8M average Thursday comp (without Exorcist 2) (May 12). Furiosa continues its strong performance in "my" theaters. The movie yesterday had already 1.310 sold tickets (for Thursday, May 23). Up 15% in ca. 24 hours which isn't bad at all after the first rush. Already comfortably in front of The Fall Guy's final sales (it had 1.071 counted on Thursday for Thursday) and almost on par with Civil War's final sales (1.357) and also the Apes finally had not more than 1.657 sold tickets in my theaters (May 11). I also can't complain about Furiosa's presales in my theaters, not at all. Already 1,138 sold tickets (in all of "my" 7 theaters) for May 23. 14 days left. Promising start. Civil War on Thursday of the release week for Thursday had 1,357 sold tickets and The Fall Guy finally had 1,071 sold tickets (May 9).)

• vafrow ($2.9M Thursday comp. Comps are showing as steady since the last update, but it actually dipped quite a bit this week before rebounding today. Advance ticket buying has been so off in this market recently for some reason. Holding pace with Apes is a good sign (May 16). It had a good day (May 12). Mediocre day 2 (May 10). Not the hottest start. IMAX is the format of choice though, so, ATP will be high (May 9).)
  

Hit Man

• vafrow (Getting a theatrical release up here in Canada, and early signs are that it might get a pretty decent screen count. Not super wide or anything, but a pretty decent amount for a weekend that has a lot of other releases (May 14).)

The Garfield Movie EA+Thursday Comp: $2.24M

• abracadabra1998 ($0.76M EA comp and $1.19M Thursday comp. Still not really accelerating, and the EA is falling against comps (May 12). Good EA numbers, but many of these comps were PLF-only EA, which this is not, so I think the ATP will be quite lower and that should be adjusted for (May 9).)
  
• AniNate (EA sales look decent now, but this does feel rather weak compared to the IF presales. Not 100% certain what's going on here but based on this I buy the trades' opening estimates over the forum vibes (May 15). I definitely haven't seen as much of a rush here with Garfield as with IF (May 11).)
  
• el sid (The very even sales are a good sign (May 7). For Sunday, May 19, I can already report that also in my theaters it looks very good for Garfield. They will for sure add shows soon. It has so far only 1 show/theater and the shows are almost sold out, between 1 and 4 seats are still available. So my guess still is that this movie if it's not totally bad (and first reviews here were quite positive) will become a (big) hit. Seems not much on Thursday but it's a step in the right direction (May 6).)

It has very low ATP as well and actual would be even lower as its going to see tons of kids tickets (May 14). Early shows are regular digital shows at 1PM this sunday. So ATP will be very low. I think 500k ish at best. Preview let us see how things go in the final week. Presales at this point are almost non existent (May 13).)

The Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Re-Releases (June 8-10)

For comparison, Phantom Menace didn't break 800 tickets until T-3 and we're still over a month out. JW3 comp is currently around 9m (it was at 1,670 tickets sold at this point!) (May 6).)

Think some M-F workweek adult fans might be putting down money for that (May 14).)

Too early to judge presales as ticket sales just started early this morning. Families dont book tickets on weekday mornings. Wait until evening today to judge it. From a release perspective its way bigger than all animation movies seen recently including Panda 4. Easily the biggest I have seen in a long time. Only movie which is not comparable is Mario but that was not just a family flick (May 14).)
  
• Porthos (VERY BAD COMPS: $8.83M Thursday comp. I really do not have good comps for this movie. Like, at all. Especially for D1. With that in mind, I did some digging and did manage to get the Elemental D1 numbers out of the old Tracking thread: IO2 = 5.45946x Elemental on D1 [13.10m]. Now will Inside Out 2 be as backloaded as Elemental? Well it's tough to literally sell 5.5x times the amount of tickets on the final couple of days that Elemental did, so perhaps not. But it does show how fracking backloaded purely kids animation is. Anyway, this is 30 days out and it isn't a CBM film (like AtSV) or CBM-adjacent film (like Incredibles 2). The Sonic 2 comp is perhaps a little concerning. On the other hand, nearly a weeks more of pre-sales so not exactly a great comp. 3.5% of presales are 3D and 40.1% are PLF (May 15). On the Saturday of release weekend (ie NOT EA) there is a special event screening for IO2: INSIDE OUT 2: FUNKO FAMILY EVENT! (2024) Sat June 15th. Might boost the OW slightly, depending on how wide this event is and how much more these tickets will presumably cost (May 11).)
  
• TheFlatLannister ($8.20M Thursday comp. This is a super super strong day 2. Probably just Orlando overindexing, but yeah starting to lean towards something big brewing. Florida presales are somehow even crazier. Sold 2357 seats and is getting a blockbuster rollout in terms of showing allocations. Kung Fu panda comp day 2: gives me $8.50M (May 15). Well, I can't really tell if this is a breakout or not yet. Looks very good especially in the first few hours. These are probably terrible comps, but might as well try something (May 14).)
  
• TwoMisfits (I'm kinda shocked at the opening set from my Cinemarks... 2 screens (1 PLF, 1 not) and 6 showings at my PLF 14 for Thursday (and 11 showings on the same screens once it runs full day - 7 PLF b/c 1 is 3d on the reg screen, 4 not)... 3 screens (.75 3d, 2.25 not) and 9 showings at the non-PLF 12 for Thursday (and 12 showings on 2.25 screens once it runs full day)... So, 2 and 2.25 screens for the weekend presale sets... Disney must be charging a huge % for themselves b/c this is an Elemental opening set at my PLF...a little more generous for Thursday at my non-PLF, but then they too drop to an Elemental opening set after the adult Disney base Thursday rush... (May 14).)
  
• vafrow (No new sales. Whatever glitches in the system on day 1 didn't push sales to day 2. I still think the lack of base ticket options will push families to wait. Cineplex has jacked up the cost of premium formats, plus they're throwing in an increase for opening weekend of major releases. It adds up quickly for families (May 16). With the site glitching yesterday, it might account for the slow start. But, what's interesting is the format breakdown. Nothing is being made available in anything close to a regular showtime. The one non 3D showing in Dolby is a matinee showing. Everything else is carrying a hefty premium. They'll likely release regular showtimes closer to release, but right now, it's priced to get eager fans to pay the premium formats (May 15).)
  
• YM! (In fairness it's only been an hour but yeah sales are softer than I expected. However, it is a month out and will largely skew more towards kids than say TLM/Across so wasn't expecting a blitz like them. Here at Marcus theaters are going all out for IO2 with it having the lion share of PLFs with it getting both screens when there is two PLFs with tentpole like levels of screens (May 14). Was taking a look at Marcus Cinemas to see that they have preloaded Inside Out 2 showtimes which seem to start at 3:00 pm on a Thursday. It seems like Marcus is going all out on it as judging from showtimes it's taking away all of Bad Boys’ PLFs in that theaters that have two+ PLFs are giving all to IO2 (May 11).)

Has anyone else experienced an issue where you switch plans and you're treated like you've not signed up?
So I was on the monthly plan, had no real issues, was content to just let it tick over however I got note of a deal where I could sign up for the yearly price and basically pay half. Great, sure why not. So after signing up and getting the credits, any time I go to the audible home page, all I see is an image advertising memberships and how I should sign up. If I click "Continue to membership" then I get told "Welcome back to audible, you have already purchased a membership plan you cannot purchase a second membership".
However, I don't want another membership, I just want to see what's for sale. My library is still there and I can use the menu bar to search Categories but I don't get the usual "here's some suggestions" page I always saw previously. This is impacting both app and webpage.
My membership status is Audible Premium Plus Annual—12 Credits so it's not like anything is amiss there

I am posting this to see if anyone else is experiencing this. This week I received a text about re siding a home in my area. We then exchanged messages about material and timeline. Today I show up to take a look and the home is for sale, immediate red flag. I look at what I need and then try to call the “potential customer”. It goes straight to voicemail. Then I sent a simple text asking him to give me a call. He calls right away and has a hard to understand accent. He claims to be in escrow (which I know for a fact is not true because I know the listing agent and confirmed with her) and says he wants the work done. I ask him when he is moving in and he avoids the question. I simply say “if you would like to meet in person I’d be happy to give you a quote”. He hangs up.
This is the second time in 18 months something like this has happened on a home for sale. My question, is anyone else experiencing this? And are people just trying to waste our time to get precious data on building costs?
