2024.05.22 01:06 AdvantageFit823 Is it normal/healthy for stitches from MR to be painful after 5 weeks?

My wife had tummy tuck with MR 5 weeks ago and so far had been okay until week 4 when she started moving around significantly more.
The last few days she has pain she would describe as a burning feeling at the internal stitch location. She says coughing hurts really bad as well. The pain comes in waves, and is really dictated by how much she rests. There seems to be a correlation between movement and pain level. There is no fever or any redness signifying infection.
Is it normal at even 5 weeks to have these issues? Any experience or recommendations are greatly appreciated.

2024.05.22 00:03 Dense-Turnip2732 3-months post-op progress

Today I am 3 months post-op and after a stall for the last few weeks I suddenly dropped 2kg meaning I reached my 3 month goals just on time! This means:
⭐ >20kg lost (55% of excess weight GONE) ⭐ BMI reduction of 8.5 ⭐ Now officially just 'overweight' according to BMI ⭐ 24 inches gone from my chest, waist, hips and thighs ⭐ 4 dress sizes down ⭐ No joint pain, breathlessness gone
The most amazing thing I see from progress photos are where my big pants are now sitting 😂 need to go out and buy some smaller undies!!
I still have another 16kg or so to goal weight and will spend the next few months focusing on trying to eat a little more to fuel my more intense workouts, while upping my protein to support weightlifting goals.
Officially over halfway 🎉🥳🎊

2024.05.21 23:23 Xplo85 Injured at work, is there really anything I could sue for?

Good evening, I live in Georgia, US, but I have no idea how to handle what's currently going on as it's absolutely insane and it doesn't help that I have a mother whose bothering the absolute last of my mental capacity trying to get me to pursue anything related to what happened.
On March 31st, Easter Sunday, I was attacked by a coworker while on the job. It resulted after almost an hour of small but not irate back and forth disagreements, them yelling at my kitchen manager and supervisor about me, me yelling back for the first time, they then turned and grappled me into a cooling rack while the supervisor and manager pulled him off. I did not retaliate at all. After the grappling was done, I realized my pinky finger was crooked, purple, and swollen.
The aggressor was immediately terminated after being sent home. I forgot to make a police report until later, from what I heard from coworkers, the aggressor has had many written complaints about him and instances like this before. I know I have given a written complaint about him as well, but I cannot confirm other employees complaints. My manager and I thought the pinky might just be a jammed since it was only on the last digit of the pinky that seem affected. We duct taped it to my ring finger as a splint, and I finished my shift. When I removed the duct tape after, the pinky was much darker, much more swollen and not looking the best, so I asked for worker's comp to cover getting it checked out.
Workers comp was approved, and same day the 31st, I was sent to an urgent care to receive an x-ray. X-ray confirmed that the last digit was fractured and displaced next to the joint. They gave me a reference for an orthopedic, and I filed a police report that evening for the attack. The aggressor now has a warrant for a misdemeanor that could be upgraded to a felony from what I understood, but he still hasn't been picked up yet.
The company I work for gave me a final written warning for yelling, and it later took another 3 weeks to get an appointment for an orthopedic through my company's workers comp insurer. After the appointment, the doctor confirmed I would need surgery on the pinky, and two pins placed in it to keep the healing aligned. The surgery took place on April 29th, and I have been out of work since as I cannot cook with pins in my left hand and large bandages preventing gloves.
I was sent a VascuTherm to help with swelling and pain, plenty of pain killers, and asked to return on the 9th for checkup. Check up told me I'd have the pins in for another 2 to 4 weeks but overall was healing well. On May 13th, one of the pins was accidentally ripped out of my finger just by closing a microwave door. I saw the doctor the following day on the 14th, who confirmed the arc of the joint still looks alright but that he doesn't think I'd need another pin. Will find out more on the next check up on the 23rd. I will have to have physical therapy once the pins are removed.
The workers comp insurance company sent me a check in the mail yesterday for the 29th through the 19th, but it really equals to roughly 2 weeks worth of hours pre-tax. I would like the cash the check since this months bills are already behind from missing work, but wanted to reach out for advice before hand. I have not heard anything from the county about the aggressor in the mean time. Despite it being just a pinky digit, I have lost roughly 50% of my dexterity in my left hand, I wish I was kidding, turns out you need your pinky for a fist and grip. I do like the company, my coworkers, etc. and I want to work there for a few years minimum, but I always don't want to shoot myself in the foot and lose my job with no back up because I looked into legals. I also just have a TON of anxiety, so that hasn't helped the situation.
Any advice is appreciated, sorry for the wall.
TL;DR: Coworker attacked and broke one of my fingers, everything seems fine but everybody is bothering me to pursue legal, but I'm scared for my job and jobs of my coworkers who helped me because the place is really that great.

2024.05.21 23:13 JadedCitizen2022 I still have questions and am in a lot of pain nearly a month after the death of my cat - long

I adopted Pumpkin in the Winter of 2012-2013 after someone abandoned him in the town where we used to live. I took him to his very first vet appt several months later and his age was estimated to be 3 or 4 at that time.
Pumpkin was a runner for who knows how long before I adopted him, so getting him to be accustomed to becoming an indoor kitty was very hard. He tried a number of times over the years to escape but the few times he did, Pumpkin didn't get very far.
After adopting him, Pumpkin developed chronic constipation, probably because he was living a much more sedentary lifestyle He was put on Laxatone only at first but when that stopped working he was put on Lactulose too, which he hated.
To make a long story short, he eventually got put on Miralax, in addition to his Laxatone. Pepcid a/c was added when he developed upper tummy issues.
Fast-forward to February 2023. During one of his routine checkups, Pumpkin's vet told me she detected a heart arrhythmia. She urged me to take him for an EKG and echo, but I needed time to save money. It took several months to do that and get approval for the wheelchair bus I needed to take him out of town.
Pumpkin had an echo, which was normal, but the EKG was not and it confirmed his heart rhythm problem. This was late October 2023. His vet and I discussed putting him on a heart medication but I decided it wasn't worth the risk because he was very difficult to medicate. I was worried that something would happen if he went on it temporarily and then refused to keep taking it. Potential side effects were another reason.
In January of this year and mid-March, Pumpkin had what appeared to be transient stress episodes where he'd collapse on the floor, pant and act like he was dying. The first episode lasted about a half hour and it was on a weekend when no vets except for the online one was available. This happened right after I had to give him some medicine. I snuck up to him to put it on his paws - something I did many times previously w/o any problems. Right after this first episode I had a consult with an online emergency vet who was the one who told me it was probably a transient stress episode. I consulted with his regular vet soon thereafter and she agreed In mid-March he had another one that lasted longer, at least 45 minutes.
It was around this time he had a checkup with a different branch of his vet's office and a different vet, who said he was ok except for the heart rhythm problem. He had his rabies booster at that time too.
On April 23, two days before Pumpkin died, he had a massive bowel movement. I expected him to bounce back as usual but this time he didn't. Two days after that (the two day wait was so I could reserve a wheelchair bus - they require two days notice) I took him to the vet and after she examined my baby, his vet said he sounded like he had fluid in/near his lungs. Xrays and an ultrasound confirmed this, in addition to fluid in his abdomen. Even with treatment, the prognosis was poor and I made the difficult decision to have him put down.
To this day I question whether or not I could have done more to save him. If only money wasn't an issue and the heart tests weren't delayed....if only I gave him the heart medicine he probably would have eventually refused....if only I got the wheelchair bus approved sooner (the one where I took him out of town for the heart tests). And if only I didn't choose to let him have his rabies booster. I had it done a couple of months before it was due to save time since we were already at the vet's. I didn't anticipate any more problems.
Both his vet and the one who did his heart tests said there was nothing I could do to have prevented his from happening. His next to last vet appt (with that rabies booster) was about 5 weeks before he died. Pumpkin seemed ok then per the vet. The sudden accumulation of fluid around his lungs and abdomen happened after that.
Both vets said it can happen that fast. Cats are really good at hiding how sick they are.
I've been going over what few medical records I have on hand....posts on a cat owner message board to construct a timeline of his health issues, etc, all to figure out if I missed anything. The one thing I stayed on top of without fail was keeping him pooping, which, after Pumpkin died, probably extended his life so said his regular vet.
Btw, Pumpkin's weight on his next to last vet appt was about nine pounds or so. In the five weeks or so from that day to his death he gained about one pound, which is a huge amount in such a short period of time for a cat. It was most likely his heart.
Pumpkin was a short haired male cat, neutered and declawed by his previous owner.
I should have asked for a necropsy but it's too late now. One thought occurred to me - maybe I should ask for a copy of his medical records? I don't want to be a pita to his vet. She bent over backwards to help me and him, esp. on his last day on Earth. I discussed the possibility of fostering a cat and his vet said she would be a reference for me.
I keep blaming myself. What should I do now? I am gutted.
I have no idea how this happened. His age was estimated to be around 14-15.
Please help me. Thank you.

2024.05.21 22:26 Assmodean Cheek muscles still "swollen" after 10 months

Hi everybody, I was wondering if anybody had a similar experience. All 4 wisdom teeth were removed last year and especially my lower right extraction has been really slow to heal. It has been 10 months and the symptoms have been unchanged for most of this time.
The muscles inside of the cheek (one side only) and towards the back of the jaw (pterygoid muscles, I think) feel swollen and I can feel that they are hard and protrude further into the mouth than the other side. It is not overly painful but it is annoying and slightly sore all the time. No real trismus but I can't open it quite as wide as the other side of my jaw. There is a hard "bump" where the wisdom tooth used to be, which is also not the case on the other side.
I was just at the surgeon who did the extractions and had an...interesting experience where he claimed this is completely unrelated to the extraction. Supposedly, I grind my teeth and that is the reason (which he never mentioned before and my regular dentist denies is the case. I never had any problems like that before and it appeared directly after the extraction) As you can imagine, I don't really believe him.
I have an appointment with a different surgeon in 3 weeks but wanted to ask if anybody knows what it could be.

2024.05.21 21:40 Friendly-Dig-7396 ACL injury? Patella Alta?

ACL injury? Patella Alta?
31F. I'm a long distance runner, never been injured, and just ran my 6th marathon a month ago—felt amazing no issues at all. I took two weeks off and when I started back up again I kept getting a pain in my lateral knee/ lateral back of knee that would start up about 1 mile in and I'd have to stop. Knee never swelled or was painful to touch, there was no inciting incident. I only feel pain when running and at rest I feel a little pressure/swollen like feeling in the front of my knee. Went to ortho urgent care and a nurse ordered an MRI after the x-ray was normal. I'm very confused by the findings and can't get to an Ortho for a month. Nurse called me and was basically like idk where the pain is coming from and she was also confused by the report and was just like PT and brace. But everything I'm reading about Patella Alta sounds bad? Anybody have any thoughts on this? Struggling...
MRI Results: INDICATION: Lateral right knee pain
Technique: Multiplanar imaging right knee
COMPARISON: X-rays 5/10
Results: Small joint effusion, synovitis. No popliteal cyst.
Patellar tendon, quadriceps tendon, popliteus tendon, medial and lateral collateral ligamentous complexes are intact. Patellar retinacula are intact. Posterior cruciate ligament intact.
Anterior cruciate ligament is grossly intact, thickened in appearance with T2 hyperintensity which may reflect subacute on chronic sprain. No anterior tibial translation, no marrow contusion.
Joint spaces are well preserved. No fracture identified. Patella alta. Grade II/III chondromalacia patella.
No definitive meniscal tear.
IMPRESSION: MRI RIGHT KNEE
  1. Thickened poorly defined T2 hyperintense ACL which may reflect sequela of subacute on chronic sprain. No anterior tibial translation. Correlate with exam for ACL laxity/integrity
  2. No meniscal tear
  3. Patella alta, grade II/III chondromalacia patella
  4. Minor joint effusion. Medial plica. No significant popliteal cyst

2024.05.21 20:40 Econix I (24M) needs advice on a relationship with (19F) an eating disorder?

Hello all, I met my girlfriend around September 2023 at the gym after finally building up the courage to approach her. It ended up going well and we planned to work out with each other sometimes as a way to learn more about each other. I really liked her and tried my absolute best to make things work between us and it worked as we got to know more about each other however the first hurdle she presented to me is that her parents are very strict coming from a Eastern European Muslim household and I am not religious or from their country. She explained to me that her mum wants her to marry someone that is from the same ethnic or country as them but she assured me that it was her life and she wants to make it work with me. This means that even till this day her parents do not know about me and if they did then I would probably never see her again. She is not really allowed to be out the house so I only really get to see her at the gym which is tough but sometimes if both her parents are at work she would sneak out with me and we've been on dates and had time outside of the gym but I started to realise that she didn't really eat like when I took her on a date to have sushi she insisted that all she would have is some miso soup... she basically watched me eat but I just assumed its because she was on a diet and was really focused on the gym. As we got to know each other more and she became more comfortable with me she told me one night that she suffers from an eating disorder which is why she doesn't eat and has been demonising food for around 4 years now. She explained to me that she would throw up after binge eating because of guilt and would take laxatives which was a real shock to me since I've never had any experiences with ED and did not know the severity of this illness. She would also cut herself every time she failed to throw up after a binge and has told me she once passed out and had to go to the hospital after spending nearly a month without eating. All of this never made any sense to me because I didn't really understand but I asked her why she puts herself through it and some of the reasons were that she wants to look slim and petite (I met her when she was around 52kg @ 5ft 7) but I honestly do not see what more fat she could possibly forgo. At the time she was telling me she just wants to lose a little more fat around her thighs and that she hates how they look but once she accomplishes that she would maintain. This was not the case as she has been bouncing between losing and gaining since then which has been 9 months. During this time I tried to plead to her that this is silly to determent her health for vanity which doesn't last forever and there has been around 3 instances where she tried to eat again and work out to build muscle rather than do cardio for 2 hours but every time it was short lived with the longest period lasting around 2 weeks. I would try and talk some sense into her but this would leave us at disagreements and after a while I stopped and let her continue while I tried to ignore it otherwise I would start overthinking and worrying myself to death but every so often I wouldn't be able to ignore it and would express my distaste for what she was putting herself through. I ended up learning that this is not only about her being self conscious with how she looks but she would tell me that this is all she knows and that she doesn't even want to get better for the fear of losing herself and also losing all the progress she's worked on. she would always bring up that she has to be perfect which I tell her does not exist. She tells me that the feeling of being empty is comforting and she hates the feeling of being full but the body will do what it does to try and survive so binges were inevitable which would cause her to hate herself even more and affect her mood. She forgets things very easily now and I believe that she is so engrossed with this ED that she finds it hard to focus. Suffering from headaches and mood swings to also missing menstrual cycles makes me worry to death because I really want a future with her but it has really taken its toll on my own mental health that I just feel miserable these days. Its disheartening when I try to support her but nothing goes through to her and I told her that she should seek help from a professional but she always says that she doesn't want to and that they won't take her seriously anyways. I'm at wits end now and I'd be lying if I said I haven't broken down to my closest friends regarding this situation and they are now at the point of telling me to give up on her and she can't be helped if she doesn't wanna be. I also asked about how her parents feel about this and the general consensus is that they don't approve of it but I'm guessing they can't force her to eat but sometimes they would not let her go to the gym. Its been really shaky these last two months with breaks and break ups and right now I've told her that we need some time apart to work on ourselves because she is not herself at all and it seems she can't even look at me or show me any affection these days and it stems from her being self conscious. I don't know what to do, keep trying or give up and go our separate ways? There are so many hurdles we still have to overcome like when will she finally find the courage to tell her parents about me but my main worry will always be this ED and how it affects her and our relationship.

2024.05.21 20:11 rennieplays Newly diagnosed eczema

Hi everyone!
I recently was diagnosed with eczema from punch biopsy by dermatologist after a long battle with my GP who insisted I had a fungal condition for 7 months despite fungal treatments not working. Throughout that time it continued to get worse and spread. The patches appeared on my hips and stomach specifically, and derm gave me potent steroid ointment for 4 weeks once daily. This seemed to get rid of redness and wrinkly skin appearance, but some hyperpigmented patches remained. Now I’ve finished the course, the patches are flaring in the same place, and in new areas, such as my inner thigh and arm creases…
Is there anything I can do without steroid use to get rid of this? The patches aren’t particularly itchy or even scaly, just very discoloured and wrinkled skin, has anyone else had eczema like this and treated it?
Thanks!

2024.05.21 19:45 Relevant-Front4099 8dpo - what I would tell myself to prepare

Im 8dpo (31F lap turned abdominal. Kept ovaries and cervix) and i think im past the worst of it. While im still pretty much couch ridden, I figured I would put this out there to maybe help someone else preparing for their surgery! Obviously we all know these experiences are highly personal and will not be exactly like anyone elses experience, but I personally found it helpful gathering peoples experiences and reflecting based on what I know about myself so I thought id write the kind of post Id want to read! I tried to make easy to skim but also included plenty of details!
Heres some things Im glad I did beforehand
Heres some things i was extremely stressed about but ended up not being a problem
-Food. My mom came and cooked me some large portion of meals. I ended up throwing most of it away. The idea was to freeze some of it but it was too much of a hassle. I didn’t have much of an appetite and definitely gravitated towards things in the BRAT diet especially bread. I spent the first few days eating like i had the flu and was really sensitive to grease. My mom made wedding soup and it was too greasy. I think i could have survived this week just on a package of bagels and different spreads.
-cleaning and chores. Im pretty sure I have OCD.. this experience has confirmed it. I looked out at my thriving garden yesterday and said to my partner absent mindedly “wow. Things really thrive when im not out there being over involved “ and like wow that is a lesson i did not expect to learn. My partner has been clearing the dishes each day and did some more involved chores once this week. So if you live alone I would advise paper plates and maybe some to help ya once a week for the first week at least.
-in terms of my surgery i was really scared of having a catheter which i did end up needing to have for a day. It was weird but not at all painful. Honestly it was kind of the worst part of my recovery so far just because i felt i had to pee so bad while it was in. Idk if thats typical. Taking it out was not at all painful but also weird. They used the catheter to put sterile water back in my bladder. As soon as i felt a twinge of uncomfortable full feeling i told my nurse. She removed the catheter and i peed it back out no problem.
-being bored. This week has felt like one day. Since it takes me 10x as long to do anything, the days are flying by. I got myself plenty of low key things to do (crafts, activity books, ect) and haven’t even had time to do any of them yet! I still have a feeling this will change in the coming weeks though..
-having enough help. I secretly wished one of my friends or family members would stay with me for a while just so I could be the solo focus of their attention. I live with my partner and two dogs and he has been totally enough support. I needed help getting up and down up until about day 5. He also makes my meals and cleans them up for me and would bring me my meds and water the first few days. I think it makes sense if you live alone to have someone stay a week with you, but ive been fine and honestly anytime someone has come to “help” its just felt draining. I didn’t know how much of a hermit I would wana be.
-my dogs. I piled myself in pillows if i was sitting on the couch with them. I also had a no chew spray near by that we used when they were pups but only had to use it one time. My partner helped to coral them the first few days too. I have not yet been puppy stomped
-the stairs. Its been fine I just have to go slow.
Heres some things I found out along the way that were helpful
-keep lil pillows by your toilet. The hospital gave me one that was plasticy and easy to wipe off (like an outdoor pillow insert). Or even a balled up towel would work. I couldn’t wear a binder because of all my incisions but this helped take the pressure off my stomach/incisions when i needed to have a bowel movement.
-if you stack pillows on either side of you, they can act as “arms” that are handy to push down on when you get up.
-sip your water and take your stool softeners as soon as they say you can! It took me until day 4 to poop but it was no problem when it happened.
-lots of deep slow breaths to calm your nerves and pain.
Heres some challenges I encountered that surprised me.
-my throat was so sore! For the first 4 days my throat was irritating, it felt like I had a flap of skin sticking down. The first day it hurt but the rest was just so annoying.
-always laying on my back is getting old. I haven’t quite figured it out yet but im getting there.
-not really a challenge but my lower belly is numb. Apparently that can just happen (even long term). Which has actually been helpful since I can’t feel my lower abdominal incision at all
Lastly!! The pain/symptom scale: Day 0: honestly don’t remember much except feeling i need to pee and my throat being sore. Day 1: was still in the hospital. Pain like cramps and burning pain near certain incisions. I was able to walk the hall but very tired after. Sore throat. Day 2: burning pain near bellybutton incisions. Heavy lung feeling. Left the hospital. Day 3: heavy lung feeling. Pinching pain in incisions whenever I stood or sat. Had some moderate discharge that was yellowish with red and brown. Otherwise no pain Day 4: more like a sharp ache when i stood/sat. Discharge again but a very light amount. Day 5: felt strides..any pain was mild cramping. Tried to shower myself and make myself breakfast which led me to be very tired for the rest of the day. Day 6: most tired yet. Pain the same Day 7: felt like turning a page. Pain very little and energy very good.

2024.05.21 19:12 Mommielex Varicose veins and pregnant

https://imgur.com/gallery/w18kjNA
I want to preface this by saying I know varicose veins during pregnancy can be considered “normal” and because of this I hadn’t previously mentioned them to my OB.
I am 32, this is my third pregnancy, I am healthy BMI (5’4” and 130 lbs) with zero chronic health issues. I am a very “veiny” person in general and pre-pregnancy was 108lbs so they were pretty prominent but no varicose or pain or issues related to them.
I am now 23 weeks pregnant and an RN in a step-down / critical care unit. I work 12 hour shifts and have total-care patients (need to be turned, some vented, and requires physical ability to provide care). I also want to add I do wear compression stockings. The strongest I could find OTC. When I’m not at work, my veins are in severe pain and they extend from the ankle to behind my thigh and into my groin. This is in my right extremity only. The skin also itches and it’s become to the point I have small ulcerations from itching. After working one shift, I have +2 edema and my shoe barely fits.
I have just emailed my OB, but am wondering if it’s just pregnancy related and not a reason to be reaching out to her or this is in fact reason to be somewhat concerned for the sake of my venous structures within the extremity long-term. My mom and aunt both had surgical intervention to remove theirs and I’m hoping to eventually do the same if it’s appropriate.
Any input would be great on the opinion regarding working 12.5 hours on my feet with this kind of varicose/ what seems to be venous insufficiency :/

2024.05.21 19:12 denastix One Week Post Op

Hey everyone,
It's been one week since surgery and I'm sharing my notes on my daily condition/progress here in case it's helpful to anyone. Feel free to ask questions!
Overview: Here's a link to my first post that includes some details about my injury and pre-op experience. https://www.reddit.com/ACL/s/UOegIkH9i2
Day 0 - Surgery Day Surgeon said everything went well. Surgery itself was about 2.5 hours - ACL reconstruction with patella autograph and repairs of both menisci. MCL and LCL healed on its own and there was no need for the LET. Leg is locked at 0° extension and I'm NWB for at least 8 weeks. I was told to schedule PT after my 2wk follow up and to do ankle pumps and (attempt) leg raises in the meantime.
Pain levels are 5/10 on average, even with the nerve block. I was prescribed Percocet (pain relief), Diclofenac (NSAID), Cephalexin (antibiotic), and regular strength aspirin (DVT prophylaxis); I'm taking them on a strict schedule with alarms so I don't miss a dose.
I also take fiber gummies in the morning (it was already part of my daily routine) and Sennakot dual at night, along with bananas and apples as snacks/meals with my pills throughout. I bought 5mg THC/10mg CBD/15mg CBN edibles for when I'm done with the Percocet. I'm also elevating and icing as much as possible (cold therapy machine + ice packs)
Day 1: Didn't sleep as well, mostly because I'm sleeping on an air mattress in my living room and it usually takes me a night to get comfortable in a new bed/space (I'm in my living room to be closer to the bathroom and so visitors can have easier access to me.)
Nerve block wore off by the evening and pain seemed like it was at it's peak, reaching as high a 9/10 especially when dealing with the blood rush after standing. Had to take two Percocets instead of my one for a dose to get through it, but pain is still manageable.
Day 2: Slept much better than the previous night, even with having to wake up multiple times to take medication.
Pain has subsided back to a 5-6/10 like Day 0, so just sticking with my medicine schedule. My most comfortable position is laying down with my leg elevated on my wedge pillow, followed by sitting upright with my leg at level.
I had my first bowel movements today. Not only is it earlier than I expected (based on other people's stories in these threads), but it's more frequent and came with some sight cramping. I'm hoping we're back to normal after this.
Day 3: Did not sleep as well as the night before. The "heaviness" of my leg is more noticeable and I think I experienced some swelling (leading to increased pain) due to blood rush throughout my leg. Leg felt more comfortable and less swollen by around 3am. Also had to wake up more often than before; my bathroom schedule did not line up with my medication schedule as I hoped it would, so this caused me to wake up at least 5 times a night to do either.
Knee pain when sitting is a 3/10 and a 6-7/10 when initially standing up. It also starts to flare up 30-60 mins before my next Percocet dose, so I'm currently sticking with my timing and dose and will taper off/switch to edibles in the next few days.
A few hours later, I realized that I was having ambiguous and worrisome symptoms from -- I assumed -- the Percocet (chest discomfort, heart palpitations, and increased anxiety), so I decided to pause on the next dose and switch to my edibles + extra strength acetaminophen. I'm starting to feel a 7/10 knee pain.
Day 4: Worst sleep of my life. Not only did I have to pee so often, the knee pain shot up to a 7-9/10 accompanied by what felt like swelling, even with elevation and icing. I think me getting up so often to use the bathroom also aggravated the pain/swelling. Doesn't help that a mosquito made it's way into my living room and harassed me all night. I feel fewer chest symptoms and anxiety, so I'm still deciding if I should officially stop the Percocet and just use the rest of my prescriptions + OTC pain relief to get through or just cut down my dosage.
I feel like shit overall. I'm also sleep deprived, groggy/still high from the edibles, nauseous, sad, and in so much pain. Definitely the worse than Day 2 - I was dealing with pain but was in a fantastic mood on Day 2 lol
I truly didn't realize how much pain the Percocet was blocking until I stopped using it. The pain was so constant and uncomfortable that I decided to get back on it (after toughing it out through three missed doses) and only take a half pill every six hours. My concerning side effects have diminished and I also have pain relief, so I think I found the balance.
Day 5: I slept MUCH better last night, especially compared to the night before. I also had to use the bathroom way less often in the middle of the night, so I was able to get longer hours of sleep and only wake up to take my medications. I coupled the night dose with my THC/CBD/CBN gummies and I feel like this definitely helped with both pain and sleep.
We're back to an avg 3/10 for pain, which is a relief.
Day 6: Looking forward to not having to wake up in the middle of the night to take medications so that I can have a chance at more interrupted sleep.
Pain is at a minimum, but I'm a little worried about the levels when I run out of the Percocet (tomorrow night). I don't intend on getting a refill, so I really hope my pain has actually decreased and can be managed by Tylenol extra strength + my already prescribed NSAID + edibles.
My bigger annoyance is how heavy the brace feels on my leg and how bulky the ace wrap is on my knee. I've been wearing this brace since my injury, but it's never felt heavier, so I assume it feels this way because of my weakening muscles. I think weight of it is also slightly pulling on my incisions, so that's an unpleasant feeling. I have to keep the wrap on until my 2wk follow up, so I'm desperately counting down to that moment.
I'm now trying to keep myself constructively occupied during the times that I'm alone. The medications and pain made focusing on things like reading a tad challenging, so I've mostly been watching TV and scrolling through social media. I'm hoping to do more with my time now that the pain seems more under control.

2024.05.21 18:43 deathhoneypot WIBTA or AITA - For not sending a text after already sending a text

AITA or WIBTA - Sorry for my English it's not my language and also for the long post. I (28F) have a friend (23F) we have been friends for at least 4 years now. She has helped me at my lowerest and I have helped her though hers. We have spend nights crying and thinking no one would love us and we will be all we have. Which we agreed is the greatest. She than ended up getting back with her ex , who of course I never thought actually deserves her. But I supported her all the way with smiles, it's her choice I just need to be there for her. She ended up becoming pregnant and I was moving to another state. She wasn't happy about it as she said she would miss me alot but she was okay about it. It went on as normal and we were still best friends, her tummy grow and the baby boy was growing nicely. In that time I ended up meeting a great guy with a son and we got serious very quickly for the better. Again she wasn't really happy because it meant less time for her but she was happy I was happy. I took on the mommy role very quickly and the little boy didn't have a mom because she left my bf when the baby was 1 month old. I moved in with my bf and he proposed after a year of dating. After being engaged for about 3 months we found out we were pregnant too. Which we are so happy about. In this whole time we were still talking and being good friends and she also got engaged. Than all of a sudden she moved to the state I'm and lives a few miles away. That's when stuff started getting weird. I kept asking her when she has moving so I could help and come around to see her. She kept leaving me on read and not responding. I would then leave it because I don't want to overwhelm her. Than after 2 weeks she sends me a message and tells me off for not messaging her and she feels like I'm forgetting her. I then told her that's not the case, I have been busy and waiting for her to answer. To which she says but I just seem distancing to her. I promised I would try harder to contact her and try to see her. Then we spoke for a day properly again and I made she to answer her right away so she doesn't feel like I'm distancing her. again she left me on read and I kept sending messages to her , around 7 including voice notes. Which she never answered or listened to. And than randomly she message me saying she I never let her know how the baby is growing and she feels like my fiancé is taking me away from her. But my fiancé is excited to meet her and her fiance and baby. I then told her that and asked her how they are.I sent her a long message about the pregnant going. Then again she never answered again. So now my brother and fiancé are saying she is taking advantage of my nice and making me feel bad all the time when it's her that's not putting in effort.
So my question is WIBTA or AITA for not answering her or contacting her again after she has ghosted me yet again?
Sorry Just emotional from pregnancy and really need to vent because I really feel used and also wrong.

2024.05.21 16:37 BryceOConnor As the Patreon and this sub grow, I've been getting more and more comments about how "slow" I am. This is true. I AM slow. However... I thought it might be interesting to talk about my job(s) and work schedule, to give a little context 😁

As the Patreon and this sub grow, I've been getting more and more comments about how
Hey everyone! So after my query last week I decided it was indeed past time for me to provide a write-up of my work and work schedule, especially after SO many people let me know in comments and in DMs that they had no idea I was not a full-time author. I completely understand the confusion, of course. I WAS a full-time author for several years, after all, and beyond that my transition back to having a job was atypical for an author because it did not result from any loss of success (so far) on the part of my work.
Instead, it was of my own making.

TLDR

For those of you only looking for the essentials: While STORMWEAVER (and my other titles when I can get to them) are absolutely a priority to me, I am also the CEO of Wraithmarked Creative, LLC the parent company of two large production brands: Wraithmarked Creative (publishing and special/ deluxe edition adaptation via Kickstarter) and Witchsong Miniatures (tabletop monster miniatures and player character models).
This work has me in charge of 7 full-time employees and dozens of part-time freelancers and artists, and is sometimes 60+ hours a week on top of my writing time, especially if I'm traveling.

TIMELINE

For the longer version, let's start with a very brief timeline of my writing career, so that people can get a sense of how I went full time, then back to working:
  • 2014: I graduated with my DPT (Doctorate of Physical Therapy) and entered the workspace. I worked in special needs pediatric rehab for 3 years. During this time I publish the first three book in THE WINGS OF WAR series.
  • 2017: I go full time as an author (and almost fall flat on my face).
  • 2019: I publish A MARK OF KINGS, which sees good success and saves me. I form the concept of Wraithmarked Creative around idea of partnered-publishing, like I'd published AMoK with Luke Chmilenko (and would do again in 2020 with IRON PRINCE). I form the company later this year.
  • 2020: We start publishing works like SAVAGE DOMINION with partnered authors, and see good success. IRON PRINCE takes off, becoming more popular than I could have dreamed. I hire my first full-time worker, Ben, to help me manage the publishing work.
  • 2021: We run a successful Kickstarter for a Deluxe Edition of A MARK OF KINGS, and realize there is a market for these kinds of books even for smaller authors (this was before the Sanderson campaign and Kickstarter's explosion as a publishing platform for Special/Deluxe Editions).
  • 2022: Wraithmarked publishes MOTHER OF LEARNING everywhere, and THE SWORD OF KAIGEN's Special Edition on Kickstarter, gaining us a TON of traction. I hire my second full time work, Eira, and STK Kreations agrees to work with us consistently on design. At the same time, Witchsong Miniatures launches and quickly becomes one of the largest 3D-printing miniatures brands on the internet, with Ben in charge of the brand. We hire Otavio to handle our modeling.
  • 2023: Our Kickstarter production model kicks into high gear, with us producing the likes of LEGENDS & LATTES, NEON GHOSTS, and the rest of MOTHER OF LEARNING. FIRE AND SONG also releases, as does the hardcover campaign for STORMWEAVER. Witchsong continues to grow, and we expand into The Witchguild for player miniatures. I hire three more full time workers, Taya, Gage, and Heather.
  • 2024/Present: Wraithmarked continues to expand, with us publishing the likes of V.E. Schwab and R.A. Salvatore on Kickstarter. We sign numerous other big names in both traditional and indie publishing, and bring on Tom to help us with art direction (previously my job). Witchsong brands expand their Kickstarter presence.
As I think many of you will be able to tell from reading the above breakdown, building up Wraithmarked has been (and very much continues to be) a tremendous amount of work. Hiring everyone has allowed us to expand, and only in the last few months have some of my more-intensive responsibilities been able to be handed off to Taya (asset/deadline coordination) and Tom (art direction). Before that, on top of my other responsibilities I was the one in charge of finding the dozens on dozens of artists we work with, as well as stay on top of their art and their deadlines. It has been godsend to hand over 90% of that work of late.

WEEKLY/DAILY SCHEDULE

Now, as for my weekly/daily schedule, I thought that would be a fun thing to break down for you as well, especially given strict guidelines are the only way I keep things moving and productive given my damn ADHD diagnosis. Of course, what I'm writing up is how my days are SUPPOSED to go. In a perfect world, this is my schedule every day, but sadly that's not always the case. Sometimes I'm unwell, sometimes I have a meeting conflict, sometimes I'm up late on a call with a different timezone (or up stupid early, as is the case with Japan). So please take the following with a grain of salt. That being said, it is 100% true that my schedule is regimented to the 15min mark at this point.
DAILY SCHEDULE:
https://preview.redd.it/89ubft51fs1d1.png?width=1218&format=png&auto=webp&s=d2a81e8b7cec902eec27b5f26fe39e66d52af46b
  • 5:15-5:45am - My typical wakeup/morning routine/light breakfast. This includes of physical rehab for chronic back, knee, and ankle injuries I've built up over the years (yaaaay being a life-long athlete... sigh). I don't set an alarm, as I just wake up around this time consistently now.
  • 5:45-7:00am - My warmup/cardio workout/warmdown time. At the start of this year I started running because of unhealthy weight gain and related issues, building up to 5 days a week. If I don't, my entire day is thrown off.
  • 7:00-7:30am - My lifting/stretching time. My lifting is currently minimal, to maintain muscle mass while I run.
  • 7:30-8:00am - Doggy time! Arro gets lots of walks, snacks, and belly rubs.
  • 8:00-9:15am - First block of work. This is usually when I get to the batch of emails that rolled in overnight, when I handle our social media stuff I'm still in charge of, and when I communicate with the WM (Wraithmarked) team about the day and answer any questions they have.
  • 9:15-9:45am - Prep my caffeine and power nap. I don't survive without laying down once or twice a day.
  • 9:45-10:00am - Caffeine and writing prep time, getting Scirvener and research windows set up.
  • 10:00-12:00pm - Writing time! I don't always use this full chunk of writing, and somtimes and extend over it. Depends on how my productive juices are flowing that day. I am not a writer who is capable of writing until a timer goes off. I run out of gas and end when what I know what happens next ends.
  • 12:00-1:00pm - Lunch! Man has to eat, and I try to catch an episode or two of either Philip deFranco, Last Week Tonight, Kurzgesagt, or whatever anime I'm watching (after I'm done eating cause I can't eat and watch subtitles haha).
  • 1:00-4:00pm - Second work block! This is usually doing coms with the team, address art or publishing concerns, or when my meetings are booked. And I have a LOT of meetings -_-
  • 4:00-4:30pm - Doggy time #2! Arro also spends most of the day with me in the office snoring, so we get quality time when he's in the mood haha.
  • 4:30-5:30pm - Dinner! I know it's pretty early, but I eat a small breakfast very early, so I'm starving by 5 usually. Also, if it's a hell day I crash by 8 or 9pm, and I have one of those angry tummies that makes me have trouble sleeping if I ate much of anything within a couple hours of bedtime.
  • 5:30-6:00pm - Power nap #2! This isn't an everyday thing, but it definitely happens, especially on crazy days. If I don't need it I'll either play with the pup or get to work early.
  • 6:00-9:00pm - Work block #3! No team coms outside over emergencies. I don't let me team work outside of 8 to 4, which are their working hours. I don't always work this full block either, and do try to keep it to mindless stuff I can do on the couch while hanging with Arro and listening to music.
  • 9:00-10:00pm - Reading/reasearch time. I like this to be personal time when I can, but sadly I'm often reading things that wouldn't be my first choice so that I can stay on top of the market/know what's popularesearch something specific for writing/publishing/minis.
  • 10:00pm - Latest I'm usually trying to crash for the night.
WEEKLY SCHEDULE:
I follow this schedule 6 days of the week, with Sundays being a very strict day off for me from almost everything. Those are the days I often find a show to binge, or work on my home, or sit in the back yard with the pup reading only what I want to read haha. I do also get Thursday morning's off running, through I do do extra walking with the pup or walking to Wegmans (grocery store) from my house to make up the steps.

THAT'S ABOUT IT!

Hopefully this will provide some context to those interested in my work schedule/how I regiment my ADHD. Additionally, if someone compains or asks about how slow I am, I hope you guys will be able to direct them here from now on to provide them with more context!
I hope this was helpful, and I'm happy to answer any questions you guys have in the comments!

2024.05.21 14:54 overcooked_mohican Stray cat attacks and I’m confused and feel screwed.

This is going to be long, sorry about that.
Hi, so I, a male (27), I have to put the reality that I have a bulged disc and have to to rest for 2 months while I get back to normal; with the assistance of physical therapist, medicine, and rest/ stretches. I have told my family but well they said “you still have to pull your weight” but that pain is an 11/10 after a while. I’m doing better now as I’m able to stand and walk longer; sitting takes its toll still. But they really don’t like me to rest. My mom (F, 52) advocates to go against PT advice and well she did that and now she has a calcified herniated disc due to her stubbornness; she didn’t want to listen to her own PT’s advice.
So my family takes these stray pregnant cat into the apartment. We noticed she has a flea collar and looked clean; but she could have been out there for months or weeks. And well the stray actually gave birth that same day. So that great right? Well on the 3rd day of having her; we were Looking for 2 kittens that ran around and we found them. However, my mom hears the dog howling downstairs and is like “if you go down there, bring him up, my poor dog is losing it”. The dog is a chihuahua / Yorkie mix that clearly has separation anxiety. So I go down there, take a break while they are upstairs and raise my legs cause pain started coming. I bring the dog back up because well she said “they’ve brought the dogs up and it’s went well”. So I bring the dog up, struggling, but I do it (I’m using a cane). We had a gate that would keep the stray in a room. As I get there, my sister (F, 25) is next to the gate. My mom says “let him down”, to which I do. The stray hears that and my sister to slow to react, being next to the gate allows the cat to shove the gate and goes for my dog. I jump into action and try holding the cat down with my arm cause well, it’s my dog; had him since a puppy for crying out loud. And I saw her stance, we own cats (for years), stray was getting ready to jump and attack my dog, so I had to jump. But remember I have a bulged disc on my right side. So I jump and she leaves me with 4 bites; deep hole in my wrist and forearm and a bunch of scratches. I mean seeing that on my body, I’ve never been so enraged. The damage was insane and that happened like 12:45-1pm. But I got up; hurting up my progress for my disc and my arm beat with holes; both on my right side, mind you. My sister and mother tell me told me to leave and didn’t thank me for preventing another attack on my dog. I went downstairs trying to calm down. My mom tried to remedy it to gain sympathy and I’m like “kick the stray out or once the babies are good, kick her out”. I felt like reprimanding the stray for how she left my body and hurt my dog. I was trying to calm down and my mother decided to blast music and I’m like “can you turn it off for a few minutes? I’m trying to calm down”. She respond with “No I want some noise, some music”. I responded with “or call animal control cause I’m going up there for quietness, it was that loud. She’s like “no and says I’ll call the police on you if you go up there”. I’m like “call them, I just took a photo of my arm and it’s time stamped before you call them because she is a stray”. I go there and just drop on the bed but my sister and mom were telling me to leave. It doesn’t stop bleeding so I call my GF (F 25) because she has had cats and dogs and saved strays too. And she also agree that if she attacked once. She agrees I did the right thing to protect my dogs and I confided in her in how I wanted to reprimand the cat because my family told me to the leave the room and didn’t help me calm down. My GF advised that I got to the ER after I told her the situation to get my rabies shot. So I went, as I’m there my bulged disc starts hurting like crazy. I try using multiple chairs to elevate my legs to reduce the pain but pain is like 8/10. I had to do scans for an x-ray and my arm I notice is still squirting and oozing and entry bite wounds are black, my wrist is swollen to the point gravity hurts it; I honestly felt like crying; back is now 8/10 in pain and wrist 9/10. The radiologist made me do poses that were uncomfortable and hurt like crazy. They do a bl$&d analysis and are like “we think we’re gonna give you antibiotics and re-administer some vaccines cause that stray looks like it had something in its bites, as determined from the entry wounds. The swelling was also another worrisome thing about it, so they gave 3 Tylenols, tetanus shot, rabies shot, and 4 antibiotics for each wound. They were painful and I had gone through so much pain for the day, I could barely walk home at this point and felt like my right arm and leg were gonna fall off my body. At this time I realized my family didn’t even offer to help me. When I got home I needed to raise my legs for a few minutes and didn’t want to be in their vicinity. As I’m still letting that help me, my sister is like “Hi, scoot over, my drink is here” and I’m like “There is an empty sofa over there?” And she says “is it even that bad?” referring to my right wrist and forearm injury from the stray. I’m like “no shit, if I got 8-9 shots, now give me a minute, I’ll move soon”. She’s like “well I want to sit here”. I’m like “how about you check on the stray you sided with while I protected our dog? And stop being a d@$&head” And she makes the excuse “she stopped or was gonna stop!” And she said “you didn’t have to stop her”. I’m like “I did something you both weren’t going to do or were to slow to do and I needed to protect our dog” and her response is “who’s gonna protect her?”. My mom smiling and laughing and I’m like “I protect our dog and not even a thank you, Screw it”. And I continued with “yall didn’t really care if I was okay not even to help”. Luckily my GF was on the phone hearing everything and as I’m talking her to make me feel less alone, my mom blasts the music on purpose so I couldn’t hear her or her me but I had earphones with a mic. We concluded that it was best to Alienate myself from my family. AITA for trying to remove the cats?
Update 1: So it’s been a week since I wrote this. We tried to have someone from a none-profit organization to collect the kittens cause the living environment that my family has them in includes housing them in a location that can be taken at anytime. Feeding them from 3-6 hours, not picking up the feces or fecal matter. We tried talking to them the day before about surrendering the cats. So I wouldn’t have to call animal control and go straight to a caring resource. My family threatened to destroy my property and things, including kicking me out to an unstable apartment or throwing my stuff out, if I didn’t return the cats. I ended up crying in the middle of a train station with my GF and made a compromise to keep my stuff until I move it to storage (like my family wanted) and live with my family once I returned the cats. So I comprised and brought the cats back.
Update 2: it’s been 2 weeks and now my family wants me to leave, even though they have the cats. And that I need to go but I don’t have anywhere to officially go. Do you have any words for my situation?

2024.05.21 13:49 Exciting_Bed2170 TLC lasik post op 26M

I’ve considered lasik for about 6 months strongly. It’s been in the back of my thoughts for years. I end up losing a contact 2 months ago at work and had to leave early because I had forgot my glasses and that was the end of the line for me. I felt as if my vision had held me back since I was a very young kid (first grade) I’m a -5.25 in both eyes and I heard them say they corrected me for -5.50 idk if I heard it right or not but take that with a grain of salt.
4/26/24
I went in for my annual eye exam and my eyes were the same as they have been for roughly 5ish years. I asked my doctor about lasik and she said that she thought I would be a great candidate for it and recommended to TLC vision in Dublin Ohio. I’m from and live in West Virginia and I have had multiple people including family friends and my doctor recommended me to TLC , so I was comfortable with going to them. I set up an appointment for same day lasik and was so nervous and anxious about it I just couldn’t wait.
5/17/24
Today was the day. Me and my wife wake up around 5:30 and head towards Ohio. Nerves are shot at this point idk what to think. I get there for my 9:30 appointment and they go through and do all there testing. They told me I was a great candidate and told me that they liked doing people like me because my prescription was pretty bad and they was excited for me to see without contacts or glasses. Over the moon nice and helpful. Also just to add two of the three doctors I seen during testing had lasik done years ago (the other was 20/20) they answered all of my questions told me that there are risks and explained everything. Went through post op instructions very clearly multiple times and even had small talk in between. Awesome group of people. They told me to come back at 2:15 and I would walk out with new vision. I was way my calm after the after the consultation and testing btw
5/17/24
Me and my wife go have lunch drive around for a bit and head back. I kept taking my glasses off just to look at stuff blind for the last couple of hours. I walk in they give me two Tylenol PM’s and set me down for 5 minutes. At this point I’m pretty nervous. I go back and the set my down confirm my name and age and I go under the first laser to cut my flaps. Painless but very uncomfortable and scary. It was hard for me to understand what was happening noting that I’m just a dumb old hillbilly from West Virginia lol. They spin me to the other laser and burn my eyes and realign my flaps and when I setup up I could read a clock. It felt like I was under water but could see. I walked out got into the truck and we drove 3 hours back home. I could not go to sleep my nerves trucked me right through the tylonal pm’s I would open my eyes every hour or so just to make sure I was blind lmao. Got home and set on the couch for the rest of the day and went to bed pretty early that night. Zero pain and I could tell my vision was getting better already.
Day 1 post op
I woke up and made breakfast for the wife and kids. Everything was still pretty blurry and trying to adjust. I felt like my vision was have mood swings from hour to hour. I didn’t do a whole lot that day tried to just relax. Me and my wife was having eye tested all day to who could see better. Still zero pain
Day 2 post op
Woke up with more improvement and went to see my grandparents I took my boys .22 with us and was trying to improve there shooting techniques which is a job there 6 and 3. I was curious to see how well I could focus on iron sights so I pull up and shoot a couple times and I can see the target and sights really well. I was over the moon with this. This is when I realized I had made a good decision. I noticed towards the evening that my eyes was getting tired and I was getting a lot more blur again so time to go home and relax.
Day 3 post op
I had my check up at my eye doctor today. I woke up seeing better and a little less blur. I went in the checked my pressures and my vision and I was 20/20 I felt my eyes was dry or I could have seen better. I had put my steroid drops in right before my appointment and they feel like they dry my eyes out about 15 minutes after I put them in. My doctor is young and had done much follow up on lasik and she was slightly concerned with the healing of my flap so she brought the older doctor in and had him check. Told me that typically the post ops are at one day, one week , and one month and he wanted to see me back at 1 week. Not going to lie this worried me slightly. I took it easy the rest of the day and helped my wife some backsplash in the kitchen. I felt my eyes getting tired and decided for bed later last night.
Day 4 post op
I woke up about an hour ago my eyes was so dry. I popped in so eye drops and I could instantly tell my eyes felt way better today almost like they was swollen and the swelling has went down. Way more clarity this morning. Feels like someone has cranked my focus way up. We will see what today brings
Also if anyone has questions or I left out important things I’ll update this. Or message me. So far I’m over the moon happy. Plus there may be some miss spelling and long sentences. Remember I’m a hillbilly from West Virginia lmao

2024.05.21 13:45 confessthestress Treatment round 3 - CURED. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Urine PCR after 2 weeks = clear. Cervical swab after 3 weeks = clear.
I also had strep, gardnerella and ecoli as coinfections. I still have ecoli, the rest is clear :)
Now here is my 4-1-1, because maybe I can help someone:
Failed treatments: 7 days doxi, 10 days erithromycin... Successful treatment: 10 days doxi + 1.5g azithromycin ...
I treated gardnerella with metro and strep with a vaginal antibiotic (polygynax).
I sent my doctor the bible post + the cdc guidelines and a study on the effectiveness of dual treatment for UP/MP and he gave me the bible treatment. Do NOT be afraid to educate your doctors. This thing is a beast that's yet to be acknowledged in the way it deserves.
My symptoms were:
urgency to pee... burning urethra... burning clitoral hood and vaginal opening... stinging or "icy" pain on clitoral hood and vaginal opening... itching around entire vulva and even down to the bum... swollen vagina, kind of blue-ish color... sensitivity to touch, thigh movements, sitting for a long time, pain after friction and touch...
IMPORTANT TO NOTE:
My symptoms were mild before I got the ecoli UTI, then all hell broke loose. Apparently, that's also common. UP thrives on inflammation.... TREAT YOUR COINFECTIONS. I didn't get metronidazole alongside my strep and UP antibiotics cuz it would have been too much. I started doing boric acid and baking soda baths and IMMEDIATELY felt my symptoms go down by a lot! Not gone, but wayyy better. Strep, efecalis and gardnerella all cause burning, just like UP... ST John's wort suppositories and vaginal oil are like natural lidocaine. It did wonders for me!!!...
AFTER TREATMENT:
My WORST day symptom-wise was the day after azi. That's also common and called a herx reaction. Then my symptoms went away for 3 days and came back for about a week. I've been symptom free for the last 10 days or so, after 3 months of agony. Azi is still in your system and does it's magic for 2-3 weeks after taking it. Expelling dead/dying bacteria after successful treatment is also painful. Trust the process.
I did not have sex during treatment and I plan on giving myself rest until ecoli is also done... BUT, I did some self loving, and it wasn't painful at all ;)
Finally, if it wasn't for this sub, I couldn't have done it. Thank you, THANK YOU. I never felt so much love and gratitude toward strangers on Reddit. This is the best community out there hands down and so, so important in this lonely world of STIs!

🔗Classic Cold Steel Tanto Point Boot Knife

https://preview.redd.it/bfs3dmv1fq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1f692528d0f06b7b510feab444105a0dfc9f2ecf
As someone who often finds themselves in need of a reliable blade for everyday use, I've had the pleasure of testing out the Cold Steel Kobun. This lightweight Tanto styled boot knife is definitely a handy addition to have on hand. I was instantly impressed by its sharp, reinforced point that contrasts with the thin blades commonly found in other boots knives.
One feature that stood out to me was the Kobun's deeply checkered Kraton handle. It offers an excellent grip, making the knife more secure in the hand. The cross section of the handle is also surprisingly thin, while still providing enough thickness to resist turning or shifting.
Another notable aspect of the Kobun is that it comes complete with a Secure-Ex sheath. This sturdy sheath makes it easy to attach the knife securely to your belt, ensuring that it remains easily accessible whenever you need it.
However, there was one downside that I discovered while using the Kobun. The default clip that was included with the knife was quite weak and didn't hold up well to everyday wear. I had to replace it with a Blade-Tech brand Tek-Lok belt attachment in order to ensure a more secure and reliable attachment to my belt.
Overall, the Cold Steel Kobun has been a reliable and versatile companion during my everyday activities. I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a durable and efficient boot knife for both personal and practical use.

🔗Compact and lightweight Cold Steel Peace Maker II knife

https://preview.redd.it/r4cn4d62fq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=34066e36fe7248ac15437009b8f9ecc50971b805
I've been using the Cold Steel Peace Maker II for a few weeks now, and I must say, it's a game-changer. The knife is incredibly lightweight, making it perfect for daily carry. I've been using it for a variety of tasks, from opening boxes to trimming small branches, and it's handled every job with ease.
One of the standout features is the Scandi ground blade, which is incredibly easy to resharpen. The unique compound ground clip point provides a stiff distal tapered point capable of piercing thick targets without compromising precious cutting power.
The ergonomic handle design is another plus, with a thin, rectangular shape and subtle contouring. The palm swell and double quillon guard offer both comfort and protection. The knife also comes with a secure-ex sheath, which is cut and stab-resistant and impervious to the elements. The sheath attachment is sturdy and won't come loose, even during strenuous activities.
However, the blade does require frequent sharpening due to its soft steel composition. But considering the product's affordability, it's a small price to pay for the versatility and convenience it offers. The Peace Maker II is a reliable, multifunctional knife that's perfect for those who need a reliable and versatile cutting tool.

🔗Slim and Effective Steel Surveillance Knife for Self-Defense

https://preview.redd.it/g1r2r6h2fq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fdec35fb0b41a67b4a10a5ce1eab59421c92f5be
Recently, I've been trying out the Cold Steel Secret Edge 11SDT Knife, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer. This sleek little thing, perfect for self-defense, fits conveniently under any clothing, making it the ideal secret weapon (if you can keep it that way! ). It's so lightweight, you'll barely notice the half-pound heft, and the 4-inch blade is sharp as a tack – if you're not paying close attention, the edges might leave you astounded, your friends and family, that is.
Now, we all know that sharpness can sometimes come at a cost - durability. However, this knife's AUS 8A stainless steel blade seems to handle it all, remaining steady even after some of my more intense activities. The flat ground design does wonders against whatever material it clashes with.
The Secret Edge also includes a Secure-Ex sheath, a reliable retention system that's quick to access and deploy without compromising safety—perfect for those urgent moments. And it's equipped with a thin, flat faux G-10 handle, ergonomic enough to stay put in your hand while preventing any slippage or rolling. The three-hole design and aggressively textured surface ensure a grip like no other.
However, there are a few minor things that I've picked up on:
  1. The edge is only 3.5 inches long, despite the claim of a 3.5-inch blade length, which does diminish its cutting power.
  2. The product's description said it has no weight, but it actually weighs 3.2 ounces. It might seem negligible, but it makes a difference, especially over long periods of wear.
Overall, the Cold Steel Secret Edge 11SDT Knife has been a remarkable addition to my daily life. Its unassuming appearance, while still offering reliable functionality, makes it a top choice for those in need of a tactful self-defense tool.

🔗Cold Steel FGX Cat Tanto: Sleek and Impervious Serrated Knife

https://preview.redd.it/uo8zsk13fq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c997eb767b7029bdf8072a270456a4915e3e7b0a
I remember the day I brought home my Cold Steel FGX Cat Tanto. The sleek black design and the promise of a lightweight yet durable knife piqued my curiosity. It was a perfect addition to my collection of self-defense tools, for those moments when you need to protect yourself and your loved ones.
The handle, made of Kraton, felt great in my hand, with its solid grip that remained unaffected by temperature and moisture. It was a great contrast to the Grivory blade finish, which made the knife look even more menacing. I loved how the tanto point blade shape gave a perfect balance between sharpness and durability.
However, it wasn't all roses. The Cold Steel FGX Cat Tanto felt a bit underwhelming when it came to cutting tasks. Its plastic blade just didn't have the same edge retention as a traditional steel blade, making it not ideal for more demanding tasks like cutting through thick materials.
Still, for the price and as a lightweight and corrosion-resistant self-defense tool, the Cold Steel FGX Cat Tanto has proven to be quite the handy piece. It's a unique addition to any collection, and it's been a great conversation starter among my friends and family.

🔗VG-1 San Mai 3 Stainless Steel Cold Steel Oss Hunting Knife with Kray-Ex Handle

https://preview.redd.it/g8tp6z73fq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=001312f46e744c0056ae7f1e8f088053eb37b1f6
As a reviewer who has tried the Cold Steel Master Hunter, I can confidently say that it has become my go-to knife for various outdoor activities. One of the features that stood out to me was the comfortable, deeply checkered Kraton grip, which allows for long-term use without any discomfort. The broad, thin blade with a distinct taper provides exceptional cutting ability, edge retention, and ease of resharpening.
However, one of the cons I encountered was the knife's tendency to be easily lost due to its minimalistic design. I also noticed that the blade occasionally required additional sharpening, despite its excellent edge retention. Nevertheless, the overall performance and durability of the Master Hunter make it a reliable and versatile tool for all your hunting needs.

🔗Highly Durable Cold Steel Bushman Knife for Survival Needs

https://preview.redd.it/xrshnvn3fq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=00990bc9468e36a30a12eaf3320a925af6afa3ae
Recently, I had the pleasure of using the Cold Steel Bushman Knife and let me tell you, my experience was quite an adventure. This knife, with its 7-inch blade made of SK-5 high carbon steel, proved to be a reliable companion on my outdoor excursions.
One of the standout features was its hollow handle, which was surprisingly versatile. I was able to store a few essentials inside, and with the right handle extensions, I could reach impressive lengths for certain tasks. The knife's unique construction allowed for a seamless blend of blade and handle, which gave it a solid, reliable feel.
However, there was one drawback to my experience: the sheath. While the Secure-Ex sheath featured a Ferrocerium Fire Steel, which was convenient for starting fires, it had a few issues. The locking mechanism was less than secure, making it prone to accidental release. It also lacked a left-handed option, which could be a dealbreaker for some users.
Despite these minor setbacks, the Cold Steel Bushman Knife proved to be a sturdy and practical tool for various outdoor activities. With its strong blade and adaptable handle, it was a reliable ally on my adventures. While the sheath could use some improvements, the knife itself more than made up for it.

🔗Cold Steel Trench Hawk Trainer - Practical, Durable, and Safe Tomahawk Training

https://preview.redd.it/zql74924fq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c1629989d1d695e797ccd77021ac1df6eb61ac39
When I got my hands on the Cold Steel Trench Hawk Trainer, I was immediately impressed by its size and weight. The synthetic material felt surprisingly sturdy and authentic, making it perfect for learning the ropes without the danger of injury.
Not to mention, it closely resembles the actual Trench Hawk, so every training session felt like a real-life scenario. However, the weight was noticeably lighter than the real deal, which might not be ideal for those looking for a more accurate experience.
Overall, the Trench Hawk Trainer provided a safe and effective way to hone my skills, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to up their training game.

🔗Versatile Full-tang Stainless Steel Cold Steel Oss Knife

I recently tried out the Cold Steel Razor Tek, and I must say, it's a versatile and sturdy blade that has made quite an impact in my outdoor adventures. The 6.5" 5mm thick recurve blade is a powerful tool for those who need a reliable knife for larger tasks - it's perfect for chopping. The ergonomic and textured handle provides a comfortable grip that's suitable for any wilderness outing.
One feature that stood out to me is the secure-ex belt sheath, which holds the knife securely and makes it easy to access when needed. The 11.7 oz weight is manageable, allowing for long-term usage without causing fatigue. However, the knife's size and thickness might not be ideal for everyone, so it's essential to consider if it's suitable for your specific needs.
Overall, the Cold Steel Razor Tek is a well-crafted blade that would be an excellent addition to any outdoor enthusiast's arsenal. The 4116 stainless steel and the black Gfn handle make it a reliable and stylish choice. While it may not be the cheapest option on the market, the Razor Tek's quality and durability make it a worthwhile investment for those looking for a dependable cutting tool.

🔗Lightweight Miniature Cold Steel Super Edge Knife

https://preview.redd.it/8gdelfo4fq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=849127885f52e4fd41dd22a791fb04798d6b698f
The Super Edge is the ultimate keychain companion for any adventurous spirit. With its sleek design and razor-sharp blade, this little powerhouse can take on any task thrown at it. Whether you're taming a wild zipper or cutting through a tough piece of rope, the Super Edge never disappoints.
Its lightweight construction and secure sheath make it a discreet and convenient carry option, ensuring you're prepared for any situation. While its diminutive size may fool some, never underestimate the capabilities of this impressive workhorse.
The Super Edge has proven itself as a reliable tool in the hands of users, earning its stellar reputation as one of the best keychain knives on the market.

🔗Cold Steel Commercial Series 10" Chef's Knife for Durability and Versatility

https://preview.redd.it/3jl7b625fq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=80c7104838325851699926f1dd0d6716e76ed3e8
I recently got my hands on the Cold Steel Commercial Series Chef's Knife, and I must say, it has been a game-changer in my daily life. The knife's razor-sharp cryo-quenched German 4116 steel not only makes cutting vegetables and meat a breeze but also re-sharpening is a breeze in the field.
The handle, featuring a stiff Zy-Ex core for durability and a non-slip Kray-Ex exterior, provides a comfortable grip for hours of use. This knife has become a staple in my kitchen, and I find myself reaching for it every time I need to chop anything.
However, one downside I've noticed is the build quality. The knife I received had a small gap between the handle and the blade, which might pose a hygiene problem when used for meat and fish. But overall, it's a fantastic kitchen knife for the price, and I highly recommend it for everyday use.

🔗Heavy-Duty, Comfortable Cold Steel Kitchen Knife

https://preview.redd.it/vmr0wrh5fq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2fb3f5b9e7bd3e17a85d55d6acbf812f02c86c1a
The Cold Steel Kitchen Classics Chef Knife has been a lifesaver in my daily kitchen tasks. The 8-inch blade is incredibly sharp and holds its edge well, making it perfect for everything from slicing through tomatoes to chopping up a variety of fruits and veggies. The handle is also quite comfortable to grip, providing a secure and solid hold.
One of the highlights of this knife is its German 4116 stainless cryo-quenched material, which ensures the blade remains sharp and durable. I especially enjoyed the terrific stiff Zy-Ex core and the softer, deeply checkered Kray-Ex exterior handle for a non-slip grip. This knife has been my go-to in the kitchen, and I appreciate its reasonable price tag.
However, there was one downside: the grip started to peel and break after about two years of use. Nonetheless, this knife truly stands out for its superb sharpness, comfort, and durability.

🔗Cold Steel OSS Knife: Efficient Field Tool with Japanese AUS8A Stainless Steel Blade

https://preview.redd.it/973and36fq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=05afb69f8d97ba26d20354de4b6c6606190d82c5
I recently had the pleasure of using the Cold Steel 39LSSS OSI Tactical Gear during a few camping trips. This knife truly shines when it comes to cutting and slashing through tough materials. The blade's thin ultra-keen edge is a testament to its impressive performance.
One of the standout features of this knife is its Secure-Ex Sheath, which keeps it safely tucked away when not in use. The Japanese AUS 8A Stainless Steel blade lends a sense of durability and reliability, perfect for those who need a versatile and effective blade in their daily life.
However, there are a couple of minor drawbacks worth mentioning. The handle/guard is a bit flexible, which may not be ideal for heavy-duty tasks. Additionally, some users have found it a bit challenging to remove the knife from the Secure-Ex Sheath.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the Cold Steel 39LSSS OSI Tactical Gear has proven to be a reliable and effective companion on my camping trips. Its balance and heft make it a joy to use, and the Secure-Ex Sheath ensures that it's always ready for action. Overall, this is an impressive knife that's well worth considering for anyone in need of a reliable and versatile blade for various purposes.

As a home chef, I've always been on the lookout for affordable yet high-quality knives. That's when I stumbled upon the Cold Steel Commercial Series Butcher Knife 8.0 in Blade. Impressed by the sharpness and durability of the blade upon first use, I knew that this knife could handle any heavy-duty task in my kitchen.
One of the features that stood out to me is the ergonomic design of the handle. The Zy-Ex core adds rigidity, while the softer, food-safe Kray-Ex exterior provides a comfortable, non-slip grip. After hours of chopping vegetables and cutting meat, my hand never felt tired or overwhelmed. This is truly a game-changer when it comes to kitchen knives.
However, the blade is quite heavy, which requires a certain level of force to wield effectively. For those with weaker hands or for tasks that don't require much pressure, this may be an issue. But, in my experience, the weight has been a welcome addition to the overall power of the knife.
When it comes to sharpening, the cryo-quenched German 4116 Steel holds an edge remarkably well. I've used it extensively without any significant blade degradation. The knives also do not rust easily, a crucial factor when dealing with raw meat or wet conditions.
Overall, the Cold Steel Commercial Series Butcher Knife 8.0 in Blade has proven to be a reliable addition to my kitchen arsenal. Its sharpness, durability, and robustness make it a worthwhile investment for both home cooks and professionals alike.

2024.05.21 09:10 pockypuff Could I have this? Or something else?

Hello! I am F22 and my partner of 6 years is M21. We have always had pretty good sex, and often. At least 3-4 times a week. we did “calm down” about 2 years ago and have slowly been on a decline since. Now, we’re lucky if it’s once a month.
I have struggled with yeast infections since as long as I can remember. (I have lived with my father most of my life and never brought up seeing a doctor since it was awkward) and have had it on and off again. At some point I thought I may have had BV but that was some time ago.
For these past years our sex was great - nothing out of the ordinary really happened. Then for some reason - about august 2023- I started noticing some pain. Like when he thrusts it felt like sandpaper. Especially since he usually takes it out and puts it back in to adjust his position, that would hurt a lot too. Even though I was wet and aroused .But I brushed it off as oh maybe I’m having an off day. But the pain is still here if not worse.
Now I find myself gripping my thighs every time there is penetration. I’ve tried water and silicone lube, different types of condoms with lubricant (I think I like the Skyn ones) and we have had some partial success with it, but found out if he sticks himself too far up there it starts to sting and after a while it feels like a raw, stinging, burning sensation. Sometimes he doesn’t even make it in halfway before we need to stop.
And I’m not sure if this is part of it as well, but I have noticed that now when I am aroused, I feel like my uterus (??) swells up and gets bloated and it’s not painful but it’s a bit off putting for me. It’s like almost my lower stomach region.
anyways this is just a bit what’s going on with me. I came across this sub and a lot of what has been posted sounds similar but of course I don’t want to self diagnose. I am still a bit lost on the dialators though, are they just vibrators? I would also like to see someone for help, I’m just worried it will be expensive since I do not have insurance. I am open to any help or advice!
thank you for reading. <3

My running goals are too varied - with wanting a fast 5km (PB: 19:39), a sub-50 12.1km (PB: 51:30), the six major marathons (done one non-major, 3:48, impacted by double quad cramps), a BQ marathon time, and 100milers (done a 50km ultra, a trail mara, and a road mara).
However, this was to be an A Race.
Further, I started a Pfitz 18/55 marathon training block four weeks before the race with a 3:15 target, and diligently completed each planned run for the first two weeks.
Before the Pfitz block, I hit 93km in the week.
February was 244km, March was 276km, April was 260km, May-to-date is 206km (from 6 runs). 46km/week on average for last 12 months.
Specific training was 6 laps on-course, 7 laps from home (35degrees), 6 laps on-course.
Two weeks before the Frontyard Ultra, I hurt my Achilles in my circa 3rd run using Alphafly 3, setting a HM PB on a Pfitz training run. I then did a horrible 6.5km on the Saturday, then six laps of the frontyard ultra course on Sunday with tears in the eye from pain (my first 100km week).
Saw a GP on Monday, got an ultrasound on Tuesday, got ultrasound results on Wednesday, saw a sportsdoctor on Thursday.
Diagnosis: Sub-acute tendonitis, everything that could be inflamed is inflamed, and a bursa.
Sportsdoctor: “The risk of doing the ultramarathon without doing a rupture is acceptable, but the risk of a tear in the medium term is unacceptable without taking appropriate action. Do the ultra, then come back a week later (which is still two days from now) to start treatment. “
Everyone else in my life, including the GP: “don’t run.”
Had pain at rest for pretty much all of this time, and a reasonable amount over the following 8 days – but less so by a couple of days before the race. Over this 12 day period I only did one run, a fairly slow parkrun halfway-through.
Late decision: Do the race, but try to avoid doing a permanent injury, don’t set a distance goal, just focus on learning stuff for next year.
Pre-Race:
· Packing list included circa 85 items
· Got picked up at 9:20am, arrived 10:00am
· Had a premium gazebo site (#recommended), which cost an extra $50.
· Set-up took about 30 minutes -> Mainly fluffing around with getting the gazebos appropriately lined up on the pre-booked site.
· Toilet’s were inadequate for the first 8 hours or so before six more opened – but, by then, it was dark so bush wees were the order of the night.
· Target was originally 50mins per lap
· Weather was sunny and max of about 21, and a minimum of around 13/14.
Race:
Used Garmin FR955 with highish brightness, and most accurate GPS, which used around 4% battery per hour.
Laps:
48:35
49:45
50:01
49:06
47:52
49:20
50:04
50:15
50:29
52:18
51:37
51:30
51:24
50:45
51:30
53:30
56:53 (deliberately slow – knew it was the last lap – had already asked Wifey to pack up)
Started the 18th lap, just because, and rung the bell after 58seconds. One other person did too.
I started with a run 1km, walk 1km strategy, but this went out the window pretty quickly and became not-strict as I wanted to talk to certain other competitors -> eg, mates, acquaintances I knew from other races, Johan Botha (eventual winner with 59 laps, also shoutout to Joel Sexton for the assist), some guy wearing a UTMB 2023 top, etc – so I was more than happy to change when I walked/ran to have those conversations. I don’t think that negatively impacted me.
Also, as the race went on (from about lap 11), my comfortable running speed was slipping from originally 5:15/km through to 6 to 7:30mins, to even 8mins by the end, which meant needing to run for the significant majority of the lap, and/or running at an uncomfortable speed. My comfortable walking speed also increased from 9:30/km to 13:30/km.
I believe that there were 35 runners that completed lap 17.
A lot of others were trying to do 3mins run, 2 mins walk, or 5mins run, 3mins walk, or some other variant, at the start.
Nutrition:
Drink: I drank 500ml on each of about 11 of the first 13 laps (and 350ml on the other two), and averaged about 400ml a lap for the remaining four laps. I also drank between each lap. I generally alternated between Tailwind (100g of carbs)/Powerade (1.5L(90g carbs)) /maurten drink mix (40g carbs) and water, on top of two cups of coke and a can of solo. I weighed the same when I got home versus when I left home – implying I drank slightly too much but was pretty spot on (noting that I ate food, so, I essentially lost “water” weight equal to the weight of food I ate). I wish I had packed another tailwind or two.
I ate a lot:
Prerace: rice bubbles, juice, killer python, banana x2, peanut butter sandwich, small packet of crisps.
Each hour: Approx. 50-90g of carbs every hour (probably more than necessary, but, without having gut issues I am happy with this decision), including liquid carbs, 6 killer pythons (101g carbs), 3 sandwiches, a small handful of koda gels and two handfuls of maurten gels, 150g of Haighs Speckles, a banana, watermelon pieces, chicken crimpys, small packet of tiny teddy’s, 3 small bags of crisps, 2xnaak waffles, hot chips, few lollies, a little bit of soup, etc. Generally one or two pieces whilst running, and one piece between laps.
I can confidently remember 1028g of carbs (60.5g/hour) – but probably missed a couple of pieces of food. For clarity, I also ate a lot in the hour before the race that I’m not including in this 1028g.
Drugs: I also took Celecoxib (on-top of morning dose), 4Panadeine Forte, 2Panadeine, 2Panadol, 2Nurofen --< I couldn’t have done many laps without these.
Shoes: I started in RC Elite v2, started to get knee pain, changed to Superblast, got worse knee pain, changed back to RC Elite v2, got 2 killer blisters on the side of my heel, changed to SC Trainer and had no additional feet problems – but the blisters were genuinely painful.
Why did I quit?
It was 5am, and I didn’t think it was worth trying to make it to sunrise at 7:05. I was in pain and didn’t fancy taking more opioids (Palexia was all I had left that I could find), my gut was starting to think about maybe playing up, my original goal pre-injury was 15 laps, my longest previous run before was 53km, my wife had been crewing for 12 straight hours and seemed disappointed when I went out for one of my final laps (she was telling people I was about to quit from lap 11). I became worried I was going to be permanently injuring my Achilles / rupture it… but, yes, I could have kept going if I needed to.
Post race
Went home, showered, slept for 2hours.
Been in constant pain since.
My ankle has swollen and continued to swell since, and I can’t really bend it still, which means I can’t walk anywhere near properly. It got worse from straight after the race Saturday morning, through to Monday, and is now getting better again (Tuesday) and is similar to how it looked on Sunday, but with a bit more mobility.
Statistics from Garmin
· 142 average HR (my max is about 200)
· 9:49hours run, 5:00 walk, 2:12 rest
· 660 exercise load
· 492m ascent (491 descent).
Overall
A great race – if my Achilles is healed up, I’ll be back next year – hopefully with the sole target of timing out on a lap and not stopping until then.
I’m happy with how I performed, originally, I was a touch bummed I “couldn’t be bothered” pushing through when I was still making laps with 7 minutes to spare… but, given how swollen my ankle is three days later I know I made the right call to stop (and probably should have done so earlier!)… and, like I said, wifey had crewed all through the night for 12 straight hours already, so it was time to go.
For next year, I think I’ll try to find some people to crew me until midnight or something, then have wifey come down for the 1am lap, instead of being there from 4pm or 5pm.
I think I need to skip my next planned A race – the Adelaide marathon - to give me Achillies time to heal properly.

2024.05.21 07:55 MelodysSafePlace i've spent the last 2 years trying to get on disability just for it to be getting fully denied soon

i applied for disability in July of 2022 (i have autism and also something physically wrong with my knee but my doctor hasn't figured out what it actually is yet.)
after over a year of going back and forth with the stupid disability place and them sending me packets upon packets or the stupidest questions and me filling them out and sending it back and phone calls and a meeting with a psychiatrist and all kinds of jumping through hoops, they denied it. my autism was diagnosed when i was a toddler and they told me i most likely won't get disability without an updated diagnosis, like they think autism is just something i can outgrow or something.
well, the whole time I've been dealing with them I've also been trying to get refered somewhere to get an updated autism diagnosis but it's very hard to find someone who will diagnose adults, is close enough for me to actually go to (because diagnoses like that usually take multiple appointments), takes my insurance, and doesn't have a 2+ year waiting list. my doctor found me one single place that actually met the criteria (it still had like a 3 year waiting list but beggers cant be choosers) and sent a referral for me but they just never got back to my doctor or me because I also called and asked about it. I've also been doing blood work and x rays and physical therapy and trying really hard to figure out what's wrong with my knee but nothing has come up yet so I'm still just suffering with that.
Well, i appealed the disability thing, they sent it to a judge cause that was the next step, i had a hearing with a judge and a job expert and the judge asked me why i felt like i couldn't work and i literally had a breakdown and cried and told him how i had one job before and it was a super basic job at goodwill working in the back sorting books and not dealing with the public but I still couldn't handle it. I explained how working that job made my knee swell up and be in near constant pain and how the job (working barely 10 hours a week) made me so exhausted that I literally couldn't function outside of work. I would go to work, come home, sleep until my next shift and repeat. I felt like a zombie. The only time I would function was the weekends (barely) and all of that energy and time would be spent on meal prepping for the week so I wouldn't starve because I knew I wouldn't have the energy to make food, and I would do the dishes that piled up all week and sometimes if I had enough energy I would even shower on the weekends. I was so depressed and exhausted and not functioning outside of work at all and one day I woke up at 6 am to my alarm for work and i decided I was either going to quit my job or I was going to off myself and i had the self awareness to quit my job instead of trying to delete myself. and i had such a big meltdown and told all of this to the judge and more. and then i had to sit there, still crying and trying to collect myself while the judge talked with the fricken job expert about how many 'low effort, readily available jobs' HYPOTHETICALLY could exist in my town (this was all based on some bullshit guestimating math equation instead of realistic research into the topic) and then he had the audacity to tell me he "wasn't sure" and "needed time to think about it" just to take 3 fricken months to send me a letter denying my case again because, according to their stupid bullshit, i participated in "substantial gainful activity" (the one job i worked for 3 months and quit so I wouldn't commit unalive) therefore i "can't be disabled."
and it just felt like a spit in the face. like this man really listened to me have a mental breakdown about how the easiest job i could find, working 2-3 hours a day 3 days a week, made me so depressed and nonfunctionial that i was about one more shift away from taking myself off this planet and how my knee hurt so bad i literally just wanted to cut my leg off right above it if it would make the pain stop, and about my autism and how i don't feel like a human i just feel like i was shoved into a human suit and thrown on my ass like 'good luck, figure it out.' and he really listened to all that and still decided that 'im not disabled.' and 'theres plenty of jobs I can do, I just have to find one.' like I'm so stressed and depressed and worried about money constantly that I barely have the capacity to take on anything else, let alone another job that's gonna make me wanna blow my brains out again. I got the letter today and I've cried like 3 times about it because it really feels like I'm already down on the ground and he just decided to kick me with spikey steel toed boots.
I have one more appeal left, where it goes to a disability council (whatever that means) and their options are 1. deny it (most likely to happen) 2. send it back to the judge to 'look at it again' (basically guaranteed for it to get denied) 3. approve it (very very highly unlikely) or 4. throw it out (why is that even an option? That's so stupid) so its like an 80%+ chance of it getting denied from here, and if it gets denied at this point then i have to start all over and the last two years of waiting and hoops and paperwork and crying and pain and feeling like a puppet on display trying to "prove I'm disabled" will just mean literally nothing. And that's a really depressing thing to think about, that the last 2 years of my time and effort and humiliation were basically for nothing.
Besides that, if it gets denied again and I have to start all over, and there's no point in even doing that unless i can get new 'evidence' (like an updated autism diagnosis, which I can't because the one place thats close enough, takes my insurance, and actually tests adults, has a 2+ year waiting list and also won't fricken get back to me about even getting me on that stupid waiting list) and even if I do get an updated diagnosis, they can still deny me disability. I hate this so much.
I feel like a giant brick wall has fallen on top of me. I'm so exhausted mentally and I'm so stressed and I'm so tired of worrying about money and not being able to buy things i need and just barely surviving and I'm just so exhausted of it all. i live with my boyfriend and he has disability and it all goes to the bills and stuff so we have water and power and things, but most times we don't have cleaning supplies or toilet paper or things like that because we don't have the money for it. we only have food because we have foodstamps. I've had my whole wardrobe since highschool and I'm down to 2 pairs of shorts and 3 pairs of leggings because they all rip at the thighs after a while and I'm running out but I don't have money for clothes, y'know? And my boyfriends mom owns the house we live in (she bought it so he wouldn't have to worry about rent and stuff, but then told him he has to pay her back rent for all the years he's been here when he has the money) and she recently told me that when/if i get on disability she expects back rent from me all the way from 2021, which would be like $20,000 at this point and that number just keeps building and it feels like a giant tower looming over me. I don't feel like I'm living, I feel like I'm just barely surviving. And i know there are people out there that have bigger worries then running out of toothpaste and shampoo and not being able to afford more, but like. It's still very real worries I have and I just feel like garbage about it and I'm constantly worried about money and it's just so exhausting.
And to have someone look at me and disect my situation and basically tell me that I'm "not disabled" and basically that I dont deserve money that would help me possibly survive is like a punch in the gut. It hurts, a lot. And I'm so exhausted and upset and frustrated and i really don't know what to do anymore, about any of this stuff.

🔗Resistance Bands Set for Diverse Exercise and Fitness Needs

As someone who's been using these resistance bands in my daily workout routine, I must say they are quite effective in providing a challenging workout. One of the highlights has to be their ability to stack up to 125-150 lbs, offering various resistance levels based on color coding. For instance, yellow represents 15 lbs, red 20 lbs, and so on. This flexibility allows me to customize my training sessions based on my fitness level.
Made from 100% natural latex, these bands are not only eco-friendly but also boast good elasticity and non-slip handles. The door anchor included further enhances the workout options by enabling wall-mounted exercises. I've found these resistance bands particularly useful for toning muscles, increasing strength and flexibility.
However, one downside might be that they don't appear to last as long as I would like. After heavy use, I've had to replace them more frequently than anticipated. Nevertheless, considering their affordability and effectiveness, they remain a valuable addition to my home gym equipment.
In conclusion, these resistance bands from Bob and Brad offer a versatile and effective way to enhance your workout routine. With adjustable resistance levels and additional accessories like door anchors and ankle straps, they provide a complete fitness solution right at home. While their durability could be improved, overall, they definitely deliver for their price point.

I've been using the Whatafit Resistance Bands Set for a few weeks now and it's been a game-changer in my home workout routine. The different colored bands are adjustable, which means I can get just the right resistance for each exercise. Plus, they're super portable, making them perfect for taking on trips or storing in a small apartment.
One of the standout features of this set is the quality of the materials. Each band is clearly marked with its equivalent weight, so I know exactly how much resistance I'm getting. And unlike some cheaper sets, these bands have held up well even after multiple uses.
However, there are a couple of downsides to this product. The handles can be a bit small for some people, making them a bit uncomfortable to use. Plus, the clips that attach the bands to the handles can be a bit difficult to snap on.
Overall, I'd say the Whatafit Resistance Bands Set is a great addition to anyone's home gym. It's versatile, easy to use, and made with good quality materials. Just be prepared to potentially double up on the straps and wear gloves if you have larger hands!

🔗Fabric Resistance Bands Set for Multiple Strengths

Using Vive's Fabric Resistance Bands has been a game changer in keeping my workout routines diverse and challenging. The set includes three resistance bands with varying levels of resistance – light, medium, and heavy – catering to different fitness levels. The light teal band provides a gentle resistance that's perfect for beginners and those looking for a more manageable workout. The dark teal band ramps up the resistance, making it ideal for intermediate workouts. And the black band is a heavy-duty option that's suitable for advanced fitness enthusiasts.
What I particularly love about these bands is their comfortable fabric blend. They're soft against the skin, making them a pleasure to use, even during long workout sessions. Plus, the non-slip lining ensures they stay in place throughout your workout, eliminating any distractions.
However, one drawback I noticed is the limited color options. While the light and dark teal colors are appealing, I would have appreciated a wider color palette to choose from.
Despite this minor issue, I have to say that these resistance bands have significantly enhanced my workout experience. They're lightweight, easy to use, and incredibly effective, making them a must-have for anyone looking to elevate their fitness game.

🔗Perform Better 4-Pack Mini Resistance Bands for Training and Warmup

https://preview.redd.it/ptb16cp0np1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=919305b5ddeef73b675b4670d8483dbfc71f7982
As a fitness enthusiast who's been using these Perform Better Mini Band Resistance Loop Exercise Bands, I can attest that they've made a significant difference in my workout routine. Not only are these bands incredibly versatile, allowing me to target different muscle groups with varying resistance levels, but they're also incredibly durable.
The professional-grade quality of these bands is evident right out of the box. They come in four different colors, each representing a different level of resistance: Yellow for light, Green for medium, Blue for heavy, and Black for extra-heavy. This feature allows me to tailor my workouts based on my fitness level and goals.
One of the things I particularly love about these bands is how easy they are to transport. I can take them with me wherever I go, whether it's to the gym, the office, or even on vacation. This portability means I never have to miss a workout, and that's a big plus in my book.
Not only have these resistance bands improved my physical fitness, but they've also helped me recover from injuries. I experienced a knee injury a few months back, and using these bands during my physical therapy sessions has accelerated my recovery process.
However, there is one downside to these bands. They can be quite slippery, especially when getting started with a new exercise. This can make it difficult to maintain proper form and can potentially lead to injuries if not handled properly.
In conclusion, these Perform Better Mini Band Resistance Loop Exercise Bands have been a game-changer for my fitness routine. They offer a versatile, durable, and portable solution for adding resistance to my workouts, and their professional-grade quality ensures that I'll be using them for years to come. While there's a minor inconvenience with their slipperiness, that's a small price to pay for the tremendous benefits they provide.

🔗Resistance Loop Bands for Home Workouts

I recently got my hands on the Blogilates Loop Bands - 4pk, and oh boy, these have been a game-changer in my daily workout routine! Having four different resistance levels, from light to crazy, has allowed me to tailor my workout sessions according to my mood and energy levels.
The highlight of my experience has been the fact that these loop bands are incredibly easy to pack. This feature has made maintaining a fitness routine while traveling so much simpler for me. Plus, the designs are developed by none other than Cassey Ho, a leading fitness personality and Pilates instructor. Her expertise guarantees that these loop bands will take your home workouts to the next level!
However, there were also a few minor drawbacks. The light resistance bands, while serving beginners, weren't as effective for me when I desired an intense workout. Additionally, the plastic-like texture of the bands can be a bit off-putting at first, especially if you're used to fabric resistance bands.
Despite these minor issues, I've seen a significant improvement in my overall fitness since incorporating these loop bands into my workout regimen. Their portability and various resistance levels make them a must-have for anyone looking to diversify their home workout sessions.

I never thought I'd enjoy resistance training until I discovered the HPYGN Resistance Bands Set. This set is perfect for a variety of muscle groups, making them an essential part of my home workout routine. The bands are easy to use and adjust, and the door anchor allows me to create custom workout setups with ease.
The quality of the bands is impressive, especially considering the 150lb tension level. I've been using these bands for body shaping and weight loss, and I've definitely noticed a difference in my strength and endurance. However, some of the bands can be quite bulky, making them difficult to store when not in use.
Overall, I would highly recommend the HPYGN Resistance Bands Set to anyone looking to build strength, endurance, and stamina. They are a versatile and effective exercise tool that can be easily incorporated into any workout routine.

In my fitness journey, I've tried countless tools and gadgets for strength training - but the Himaly Exercise Resistance Bands have truly taken the cake. This set of five resistance bands comes with different levels of tension, allowing me to challenge myself as my fitness level progresses.
The first thing that caught my eye was the sturdiness of these bands. Unlike some cheaper options out there, these are designed with a dual security loops on the handle and made from TPE material to ensure maximum durability. It feels like they're built to last, even after hours of intense workout sessions.
Another significant feature is how versatile they are. Whether it's training my chest, shoulders, back, or even thighs, these resistance bands have helped me target different muscle groups without needing a full gym set up. Plus, since they're so lightweight and easy to store, I can take them anywhere, making them perfect for those who travel often or simply prefer working out at home.
However, one thing worth mentioning is that while these bands are great for women and even most men, if you're looking for something extremely challenging for male workout enthusiasts, you might need to look elsewhere. These bands are perfect for maintaining strength and toning up, but don't quite offer the level of resistance some muscle-bound workout warriors might require.
Overall, I would recommend the Himaly Exercise Resistance Bands to anyone looking for an effective and versatile strength training tool. They're durable, easy to use, and can help you achieve your fitness goals from the comfort of your own home.

I love how versatile they are – perfect for stretching, working out at home or on the go, and even for physical therapy. The best part is how compact these bands are; they don't take up much space at all.
These WODFitters resistance bands have given my workouts that extra kick that I've been missing. Not only do they help me get stronger and leaner, but they also ensure my joints remain intact and healthy. I find the bands incredibly useful for Pull Ups, Ring Dips, and Muscle Ups as well as powerlifting sessions with banded lifts. Plus, combining the bands in different ways gives me an adjustable level of resistance and makes my training more efficient.
The product comes with a set of four resistance bands – Red (10 to 35 pounds), Black (30 to 60 pounds), Purple (40 to 80 pounds), and Green (50 to 125 pounds). I've had the pleasure of using all four of them and can say that they are all of great quality and offer excellent resistance.
However, there was one review that pointed out some disappointment with the bands. The user found them to be less resistant than the original ones. Nevertheless, considering most other users' positive experiences, it seems that this might be an isolated case.
To sum it up, the WODFitters Fabric Resistance Bands are a high-quality and versatile addition to any home workout routine or physical therapy practice. These resistance bands help you achieve your fitness goals while keeping your joints safe. Definitely worth investing in!

I've been using the Gymbee Resistance Bands for a few weeks now, and I must say, they have truly revolutionized my home workout routine. I used to struggle with finding the time to hit the gym, but with these bands, I can get in a quick workout right in my living room. The three levels of resistance allow me to challenge myself as I progress, while the soft cloth fabric feels comfortable against my skin.
But it's not just about the product itself; the included training videos have been incredibly helpful in showing me how to make the most out of these bands. From simple glute exercises to more intense leg routines, there's no shortage of ways to use these bands to build strength and flexibility.
Of course, no product is perfect. One minor concern I have is that the bands can be a bit difficult to roll up once I've finished my workout. However, this is a small inconvenience compared to the overall benefits these resistance bands provide.
Overall, I absolutely love my Gymbee Resistance Bands and would recommend them to anyone looking to incorporate more strength training into their fitness routine without leaving the comfort of their own home.

One potential drawback, however, is that some users have reported that their bands lost resistance after just a few uses. While this happened to me only once, it's worth considering if you're planning on using the band daily.
Overall, I've been incredibly happy with my Level 1 Fabric Booty Building Band, and I can't recommend it enough. The quality, versatility, and effectiveness make it an excellent addition to any home gym. So, grab your orange band, and let's get those glutes firing!

However, there's a downside to the design - the metal clip can be a bit stiff at times, making it challenging to insert or remove pages. Nonetheless, this minor inconvenience is outweighed by the benefits this clipboard offers.
All in all, Sooez's Clipboard with Storage has become an indispensable tool in my writer's arsenal. This clipboard comes with an ample storage box, allowing me to keep my documents and forms safe and secure, even when I'm on-the-go.
One of my favorite features of this clipboard is the separate smaller compartment that holds pens, clips, and other small items. It's such a convenient addition that has made my life so much easier. The corner grips also deserve a mention, as they help prevent snags and tears, ensuring that my documents stay in mint condition.
However, I must admit that one aspect of the clipboard that took some getting used to was its opening mechanism. While it does take a little more effort to open compared to other models, it's definitely not a deal-breaker.
In summary, this storage clipboard has made a significant difference in keeping my documents organized and secure. Its unique design and useful features make it the perfect companion for both office and personal use. As a dedicated home cook, I've tried multiple ways of organizing my cherished collection of recipes, ranging from old-school recipe card boxes to bulky recipe binders. However, none of them could beat the efficiency and elegance of the Multikeep Clipbox Wood Clipboard Box. This nifty product has not only become a game-changer in my recipe storage but also a perfect way to organize an array of documents, from medical records to bills.
The solid hardwood bamboo exterior not only makes it a sturdy holder but also adds a touch of style to any shelf, making it a beautiful addition to my kitchen or home office. The built-in clipboard on the lid is another excellent addition that allows me to quickly jot down notes or clip important documents right onto the box. The metal label holder on the side is an absolute bonus, enabling me to label and categorize my content easily.
One drawback I found was the size. While it comfortably holds up to 75 sheets of standard size paper, it may be a bit too small for those who need to store larger documents. However, given its other brilliant features, I can easily overlook this minor flaw.

🔗Secure Locking Storage Black Clipboard

I recently started using the Vaultz Locking Storage Clipboard in my daily life, and I have to say, it has made a significant difference in the way I organize and protect my documents. The high tension clip on the front ensures that my papers remain secure at all times, while the combination lock provides key-less convenience for added security.
I particularly love the roomy internal storage compartment, which comfortably holds all my important documents within. The shoulder strap included with the clipboard has been a game-changer for me, allowing me to carry it around effortlessly throughout the day. Additionally, the key-hole on the back serves as a convenient wall mount for when I need to store it away.
However, there are a couple of areas where I feel the clipboard could use some improvement. Firstly, the combination lock, although providing a sense of security, feels slightly cheap and could potentially be more durable. Secondly, the dimensions of the product do not make it an ideal choice for people who prefer compact accessories.
Overall, I am quite satisfied with the Vaultz Locking Storage Clipboard. Its user-friendly design and various features make it an effective tool for organizing and protecting my documents, providing me with the peace of mind I need in my daily life.

Whether you're using it at school or on the job, this clipboard is sure to make your life easier. And the best part? It's made in the USA, ensuring high quality and craftsmanship.

Overall, this clipboard has been an incredible addition to my daily life, and I would highly recommend it to anyone in search of a reliable and efficient organizational tool.

I recently got my hands on the Vaultz Locking Storage Clipboard and I must say, it has become an essential part of my daily life. As someone who's always on the go, I often found myself struggling to keep all my important documents and tools organized. But with this clipboard, everything has a place now.
The first thing that caught my eye was its sleek design. The slim profile and sturdy construction make it not only stylish but also incredibly durable. And did I mention how lightweight it is? Despite its robust build, it's surprisingly light, making it comfortable to carry around all day.
One of the features that stand out the most for me is the interior mesh pockets. They're perfect for storing items like my phone, business cards, and even some loose papers. I also like the document belt inside, which ensures that my paperwork stays securely in place while I'm using the clipboard.
The only downside I experienced so far is the somewhat slick surface of the clipboard. It can be a bit challenging to write on, especially when you need to create pressure copies from standard forms. However, this issue can easily be resolved by placing a piece of cardboard beneath the paper you're writing on.
Another highlight worth mentioning is the built-in keyhole grommet on the back. It allows me to hang the clipboard on a wall or door, freeing up valuable desk space. Plus, the sturdy keylock keeps all my contents safe and secure whenever I need to step away.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the Vaultz Locking Storage Clipboard. Its combination of practicality, durability, and style makes it stand out from other clipboards on the market. If you're someone who values organization and efficiency, I would highly recommend giving this product a try.

I've been using the Posse Box Pb-37C bottom opening clipboard box in my daily work routine as a law enforcement officer, and I must say, this nifty little contraption has really made a difference in keeping me organized. The dual compartments are a game-changer; one side for completed forms and papers, the other for storing extra citations and sheets. It also has an internal tray where I can securely keep pens, pencils, and other small items. Its non-skid base ensures that it stays put even on slick surfaces.
One of the best parts about this clipboard box? Its size. At 14" long and 9" wide, it fits perfectly on my desk and doesn't take up too much space. Plus, with a weight capacity of 1.5 pounds, it can handle just about anything I throw at it.
However, there's one minor downside that I've noticed while using this product. The latch could be slightly more durable. It tends to wear out over time, especially if you’re frequently opening and closing the box. But overall, for a tool designed specifically for law enforcement, the Posse Box Pb-37C is hard to beat when it comes to organization and convenience.

Plus, the self-closing latch ensures that my papers stay in place whether I'm walking or sitting.

Overall, this metal clipboard with a three-tier storage system has made my life easier and more organized. If you're someone who needs a reliable and efficient way to manage your paperwork, I highly recommend giving this one a shot.

I appreciate how lightweight it is, making it easy to carry around and clip in essential papers on the go, be it for work or personal use.
The standout feature for me, however, has to be the spacious interior storage compartment. It's a game-changer for my constant juggling of important yet small papers. Now, instead of having them scatter around, they're safely tucked away in this compact but efficient clipboard. Plus, it holds full-sized papers, a significant pro compared to other clipboards I've used in the past!
There's really only one disadvantage I've noticed so far, and that's the somewhat flimsy build. While it's more durable than traditional paper clipboards, it's not as robust as it could be. This is a small con, however, given how much I absolutely love everything else about this clipboard.
The Clipboard Shop's Aluminum Memo Storage Clipboard has truly improved the way I organize and handle documents. Its combination of lightweight design and spacious storage compartment make it the perfect companion for anyone who frequently handles paperwork, be it at work or home.

I've been using this cute clipboard folio for a few weeks now, and I absolutely love it. The Daisy Floral Green design is a refreshing change from the usual black or brown office supplies, and it feels equally at home in my creative studio as it does in the corporate office. The sturdy hardcover offers ample protection for all my papers and notes, while the removable lined notepad is perfect for organizing my thoughts on the go.
The interior pocket and pen loop are particularly handy for stashing important documents and keeping my pen within easy reach. Plus, the elastic band cover ensures everything stays securely in place, even when I'm on the move.
One downside to this folio is that it can be quite bulky, especially when filled with documents. However, the ample storage space more than makes up for its size. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this clipboard folio and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish and functional addition to their office supplies.

As someone who always needs a reliable clipboard on the go, I've been using the Sunnyclip Aluminum Clipboard with Storage for a few weeks now. With its sleek and sturdy design, it has quickly become a trusty companion for all my note-taking adventures. The size is perfect, fitting my memo-size paper sheets flawlessly, yet it's just not compatible with letter or A4 size paper, which may be a slight drawback.
What sets this clipboard apart from the rest is its durable, recycled aluminum construction. It's lightweight and easy to carry around, making it suitable for long days on the road or office. The added privacy cover is a thoughtful feature, keeping my important documents safe and confidential. Plus, the high-quality clip ensures that my papers stay in place, not even a gust of wind can make them fly away.
However, one thing I didn't quite enjoy was the lack of storage capacity. Though the built-in storage top opening provides a little space, I think it could benefit from a slightly larger slot to accommodate more papers or even small office supplies.
Overall, the Sunnyclip Aluminum Clipboard with Storage has quickly become a valued tool in my daily routine. Its lightweight and sturdy design, combined with the added privacy cover, makes it perfect for capturing notes on the go. While its storage capacity could be improved, it's a worthwhile investment for anyone in need of a reliable clipboard.

As a daily user of the Posse Box, one thing that stands out to me is its dual-tray convenience. I love how it provides two separate compartments to keep my important papers and forms well-organized. Plus, the non-skid base ensures that they stay in place even during those hectic days.
The size of 9" x 14" 1.5" is just right for my needs, fitting all my frequently accessed forms comfortably. And the sleek black vinyl gives it a professional look.
However, one thing that could be improved about this product is the quality of the material. It's not as sturdy as I would have liked, which can make it feel a bit flimsy at times. This issue isn't major but it's definitely worth mentioning.
Overall though, the Posse Box has been a reliable companion on my daily law enforcement duties, helping me stay organized and efficient. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a sleek and efficient way to keep their important papers and forms organized.

As someone who loves staying organized, I can't exaggerate how this charcoal clipboard case from Office Depot has quickly become my go-to tool for work and school. It's not just about keeping my papers and forms intact, but also about having all my essentials like pens, business cards, and post-it notes right at my fingertips.
One of the features that truly impressed me was its three external filing compartments. Not only do they keep my pens and pencils sorted, but they also hold paper clips and other small office items, making them incredibly efficient and space-saving. Plus, the magnetic compartment? Absolutely brilliant! No more rattling of loose clips while I'm on the move—they stay securely in place.
The built-in filing pockets are equally impressive, providing a perfect place for CDs, more papers, or even a phone. To be honest, at first, I didn't think I would need the separate compartment for paper clips, considering how most of my stuff ended up in the external compartments. After using it though, I've come to appreciate how handy it is to have an item so small and commonplace readily accessible.
Another highlight is the ergonomic hand grips. They make holding the case very comfortable, especially during longer work sessions or meetings. Additionally, the hang hole is a thoughtful touch that allows me to store it easily when not in use.
While I love how sturdy and durable this case is—truly, it's been through a lot due to my clumsy nature and heavy use—there's one drawback I have to mention. If you're planning on using folders with this case, unfortunately, they won't fit. It's a minor inconvenience, but it doesn't detract from how useful and reliable this product continues to be.
All in all, this is hands down the best clipboard case I've used in a long time. Whether it's at work or school, this little wonder keeps all my documents organized and accessible, making it a valuable addition to anyone's productivity toolkit.

Surprisingly, despite its compact size, it's a great gift idea. I've gifted it to several of my nurse friends and they've all loved it. There's something really satisfying about presenting people with a tool that makes their lives easier.
However, it's worth mentioning that this clipboard doesn't come with any accessories. You'll need to purchase them separately. But then again, that's a small inconvenience for a tool that has made my nursing life so much easier.
In conclusion, if you're a nurse, teacher, or just someone looking for a practical tool to keep your essentials close, this nursing clipboard with storage is a game changer.
