I’m a 26-year-old English Norwegian who’s mainly lived his whole life in the United Kingdom and graduated from university with a degree in Computer Networks and is now working as a DIE for the NHS (Digital Infrastructure Engineer).
Caught you off guard with that job title acronym huh? Yeah, trust me when I first started it had me in fits of laughter, but you get used to it after a while.
So a bit about me; - I’m an introvert and tend to avoid public crowds, events and such and just try to vibe with friends on a nice game of anything (which you’ll see below) - I’m an avid IT nerd and will most likely remain this way for my whole career as IT is my education and career at this point - On top of IT you guessed it I’m also a very big avid “gamer” I mainly play PC and PS5 games with my current interests being in Helldivers 2, Star Wars: The Fallen Order, and Jedi: Survivor amongst a few other things like WoW, CoD, SWTOR and so on. - I love learning, whether it be history, game lore, languages, cultures, etc. You name it, and I’ll probably be interested in it (Trust me, you give me a flag of any country, and I’ll be able to tell you the country’s name and political structure. - I’m also an avid book reader and you’ll most likely see my shelf full of different manga from all types of genres, I don’t particularly watch anime, I mainly read instead because I find it more “interesting” for better or not. (Not that I'm opposed to watching it) - I’m trying to learn to cook myself but not very good at it as my most recent attempt I ended up giving myself food poisoning so it’s sufficient to say you will have a big gamble if you’d like me to cook ha-ha. - I do watch football from time to time and do support a few clubs from around the world (mainly northern Europe, the UK, and the US) feel free to guess if you’d like! - I’m currently on a VLCD and have lost about 2 stone within 1 month which I’m super super happy about.
In terms of looks and such I’m what an average 26-year-old would look like who is 6’1/6’2 with a picture on request.

What am I about? I’ve always made it a goal to help, care for, and support those close to me, whether it be friends, old friends, or the equivalent of my family. They’ve been there for me, and I’ll go hell and back for them as they’ve stood by me through thick and thin, even through the loss of other close friends; they’ve picked me up and brushed me down and set me straight to which I will always forever be in their debt and have helped them being.
Whilst I’ve been shot and backstabbed by many of those who I thought were close to me I just try and see the positive and avoid the unnecessary drama and arguments as life is just way too generally short for that kind of stuff and we should all get along with each other in my mind.
What am I looking for? I apologize if this comes off as really picky - Someone in the realm of the US, Canada or Europe - Someone between the age of 20 to 28 years old - Someone who has an interest in IT, manga, gaming, and such (It’s easier to talk to people with the same interest I’ve found though you don’t need to work in IT at all) - Just be a kind honest individual who I can back and vice versa. Love my steamdeck, got me back into gaming. Looking for a small build gaming pc around £800 that would be a step up in specs. Just need the system, no accessories . Is it possible? Thanks in advance

I received a balance due notice from the IRS (CP503). They are claiming I owe them $3710 from 2021. They say it’s from Robinhood gains I never reported. Not sure what they mean when they say profit liability but that’s why. They are saying I gained $3200 from Robinhood investments. I know I did not earn a $3200 gain investment on Robinhood. I do not know what to do. I order a transcript from the IRS showing my gains and also asking Robinhood for a yearly gain or loss chart and a history of all my transactions. Can anyone give me any advice on how I should go about this?
I do not have $3710 to pay this debt and I’m confident that I did not make $3200 in gains from Robinhood. Any advice is appreciated.

2. Disputes

In the event of a dispute as to any participant, the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the entry will be deemed to be the participant. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Each potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder. ZAM will make final determination of identity of participants and timing of entries in its sole discretion.

The arbitration will be conducted by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules (the “AAA Rules”) then in effect, except as modified by these Official Rules. The AAA Rules are available at www.adr.org or by calling 1-800-778-7879. A party who wishes to start arbitration must submit a written Demand for Arbitration to AAA and give notice to the other party as specified in the AAA Rules. The AAA provides a form Demand for Arbitration at www.adr.org. Any arbitration hearings will take place in the county (or parish) where you live, unless we both agree to a different location. The parties agree that the arbitrator shall have exclusive authority to decide all issues relating to the interpretation, applicability, enforceability and scope of this arbitration agreement.
   
5. Arbitration Costs. Payment of all filing, administration and arbitrator fees will be governed by the AAA Rules, and we won’t seek to recover the administration and arbitrator fees we are responsible for paying, unless the arbitrator finds your Dispute frivolous. If we prevail in arbitration we’ll pay all of our attorneys’ fees and costs and won’t seek to recover them from you. If you prevail in arbitration you will be entitled to an award of attorneys’ fees and expenses to the extent provided under applicable law.
   
6. Injunctive and Declaratory Relief. Except as provided in 13(b) above, the arbitrator shall determine all issues of liability on the merits of any claim asserted by either party and may award declaratory or injunctive relief only in favor of the individual party seeking relief and only to the extent necessary to provide relief warranted by that party’s individual claim. To the extent that you or we prevail on a claim and seek public injunctive relief (that is, injunctive relief that has the primary purpose and effect of prohibiting unlawful acts that threaten future injury to the public), the entitlement to and extent of such relief must be litigated in a civil court of competent jurisdiction and not in arbitration. The parties agree that litigation of any issues of public injunctive relief shall be stayed pending the outcome of the merits of any individual claims in arbitration.
   
7. Class Action Waiver. YOU AND ZAM AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. Further, if the parties’ Dispute is resolved through arbitration, the arbitrator may not consolidate another person’s claims with your claims, and may not otherwise preside over any form of a representative or class proceeding. If this specific provision is found to be unenforceable, then the entirety of this Dispute Resolution and Arbitration section shall be null and void.
   
8. Severability. With the exception of any of the provisions in Section 15(f) (“Class Action Waiver”), if an arbitrator or court of competent jurisdiction decides that any part of these Official Rules is invalid or unenforceable, the other parts of these Official Rules will still apply.
   
9. Languages. These Official Rules may be made in multiple language versions. In the event of a dispute as to the terms of different language versions, the English version shall prevail.

Hello, I’m (F32) from the UK. Diagnosed with PCOS in 2014 after being told I would never conceive naturally as IR and morbidly obese.
SW 18.8 stone. Woke up after the GP appointment and had my “click”. Lost 105lbs within 18 months. (First 2 stone with a slimming group) the rest through low carb & exercise). Got prescribed Met after loosing the first 50lbs and it worked well.
I have since conceived two daughters (F8 and F4 now). Slowly started to gain weight back over the years and find myself at CW: 17.3 stone (I know I know, I guess I ignored it until I couldn’t any longer).
So again we go. I haven’t been taking my Met as I should and have definitely indulged in one to many glasses of wine and carbs. (Chips/fries are my downfall)
So, Monday gone - I’ve started taking my metformin Monday (3 a day), ordered some vitamins & filled the fridge with some high protein meals.
Although I have every intention on getting “me” back I’m also both terrified and excited for the future and this journey once again.

Today my(17y/oM) day was normal and i went to school did my only final for the day and went to get picked up. I went and my brother(30y/o) picked me up and I then sat in the passenger seat and then went to pick up our other brother(20y/o). Once we went my brother started to try to open the passenger door like crazy as it was locked and when i rolled down the window he immediately told me to get out after I said no he repeated himself and said if I didn’t he would beat my ass and ither threats, thats when my oldest brother got involved and told him to stop or he would his ass. My older brother then told the oldest that anything he did to him wouldnt stop him from what he was going to fo to my at night. (For some context my brother does throw joke threats around but this one didn’t feel like a joke and you could see in his eyes just pure emptiness) After that my oldest brother left him stranded and called our mom who immediately started to defend my older brother and says the oldest was winding me and him up and them downplaying everything. After that we called our dad who said that i should record my older brother anytime he threatens me ir tries anything to have evidence and if he tries to do something tonight to just call the cops. I then told my mom that if he tried to do anything that i was going to call the cops press charges and order a restraining order against him and that once i move out and finish college she had the choice of keeping either me or my older brother as her youngest child because I wasnt going to live or go where he could just threaten me and feel like he can do it anytime without consequences. The lsst thing i told my mom is that since im a minor still and she knew what my brother said if i call the cops she could slso get into legal problems because of child endangerment. Hi all, I’ve started cloth diapering and think I’ve settled on LPO pockets for now - my husband seems to like them too.
I have a few questions though if anyone can shed some light?

1. I’m thinking of buying hemp inserts to double up with the ones they came with.

I see LPO sells hemp inserts but I’ve heard good things about Thirsties cotton/hemp. From what I can tell, they’re pretty much the same except size? Has anyone tried LPO hemp inserts? Are they good? I’m placing an order there anyway so I’d prefer to just them there if they’re just as good!

1. I’m also considering just buying FSTs and pad folding around the current insert instead of hemp. Would that be just as good?
   
2. What would be a good combo for overnight? My 4mo old baby currently wakes up every 3-4 hours for food, with a 4-6 hour stretch for the first stretch. I’ve seen people recommend a GMD cotton prefold with a hemp insert, or a microfiber + bamboo + hemp insert. I’m trying to not have to buy too many things if I don’t need to. Ideally I’d like to buy something that’ll help him last all night for when we eventually get there. What has worked for you?
   
3. And bonus question… if FSTs are a good idea, I’m in Canada and struggling to find affordable FSTs as it doesn’t seem Walmart sells them here. At least not the last time I checked a few months ago. If you’re Canadian, where did you get your FSTs?

My mom's gonna be using the PC for just office work type of stuff and watching videos on Youtube and wherever else. So a GPU is unnecessary, and we also already have a monitokeyboard/mouse/speakers/wifi card. The last PC I've built for my mom lasted about a decade, and we're hoping this one will last just as long or more. So I'm wanting to choose parts/brands that are likely to be durable and long-lasting, even if it may not be the best performance per dollar in the short term.
I saw that the sticky thread has a recommended build for $~600. If you've got suggestions on how to best cut corners, I'd love to hear them. I'm also willing to hear perspectives on why the $600 build is worth spending an extra $100 for, if that is the case. Thank you very much for your insights.

So I'm going to say things the way I feel...if any of you take offense to any of this, then you have your own internal issues
First and foremost, I am NOT here for advice. Nor am I here for anything but to complain. Also I could care less if you got your return or amended return back. See a crap ton of us filled out returns at least in early February and still haven't gotten anything. The real sad part is how we are left in the dark
I for one, am sick and fing tired of the IRS getting away with the lack of correspondence. The IRS has to employe some of the laziest and stupidest employees I have ever had the pleasure of speaking with.
How in the hell do any of these people even have a job when they don't tell you a damn thing? How in the hell are we, the taxpayers, supposed to sit here in the dark hoping and waiting for some sort of answer?
Why are allowing people who filled in April or who have amended returns get done and get their refund before someone who filed on January?
Why do we not complete returns in the order and fashion they are received?
Where is the gosh damn accountability here?
I had to wait 22 months to get an amended return finished from 2022. Why should I have to constantly call my congressman just to get stuff done?
It's about damn time, we as Americans, start standing up to these tyrants and force them to do the damn job we pay them for.

Hey yall! Give me some advice for my dad. Today my dad asked me to order him herbal cigarettes because he wants to try quieting and one of his friends from the states visited us in Canada brought this pack of herbal cigarettes which claims to have 0 nic! Is it legit does it help?
My dad has been smoking even before I was born I’m 19 now, he’s been smoking for over 25 years. Over the years he’s gotten into lots of fights with my mom about making but could never give up smoking he failed miserably. When I got my first job when I was 16 I actually brought him nicotine gum that helps quiet smoking it was super expensive but he literally only ate 2 pieces 💀 and the rest ended up eventually being expired.
I literally use to joke about smoking as a little girl to get him to stop but this guy just couldn’t give up his smokes. He did lessen a little bit but jeez he needs help quieting.
What worked for you guys? Share your insights advice appreciated just need my dad to quiet smoking.
