Extreme drought or heat domes will COLLAPSE electrical infrastructure to the point that certain cities will become absolutely unlivable with the present population and resources.
Southern wet states like east Texas to Florida....will experience wet bulb temperatures. Tornados and hurricanes will become so intense and common, whole cities will be wiped off the planet, and become unlivable due to zero home insurance companies willing to insure clients living in areas guaranteed to be destroyed.
In all other countries that are experiencing massive flooding and rain right now.....floods are going to wash away towns and agriculture located by these rivers. Landslides are going to become common, slicing up transportation infrastructure that depends on highways that snake through mountains. This will result in mountain communities being cut off from aid and resources.
Any potential weather event that occurs in your area....whether it be drought, wildfires, wind, rain, hail, tornados, hurricanes, etc.....is going to be supercharged by more heat being trapped in the atmosphere, and more moisture being retained in the atmosphere because of it. Expect more catastrophic examples of it, every single year.
If humanity does not find a way to stop and even reverse how much GHG is in the atmosphere, any stability agriculture enjoyed will be a thing of the past. That means much more expensive and hard-to-come-by food.

looks like DMV lost my release of liability that I dropped off back in 2020
they intercepted my state return and now say I still owe 377 and I have 30 days to pay or they would garnish my paychecks
I called and told them that the vehicle was sold to a junk yard aka recycling and that I had dropped off the release of liability right after it got thrown in the compactor
they instructed me to re-do the release online and I should get my money back
its been 1 week (since you looked at me, lol) and I only had 1 missed call from them and I cant get a hold of them
even if I call as soon as they open up, I get a message saying they are all busy and ill get a call on the next business day
any idea on what I can do or another number where I can actually talk to a human?

Yet the mainboard i recently purchased ASUS pro art creator x670E i recall had an issue with some asshats trying to steal pathetic measly 40gigabit USB4 chips from all the boards at the computer store to sell on EBay as other junk, when anything in the universe with an M.2 ULTRA slot does 40gigabits since PCI express 3.0/4.0 as PCI express 3.0 SSD drives famously use a specific I/O controller chip which gives them 38gigabits of the ultra M.2 slots 40gigabits of bandwidth. But for a couple years when AMD had pci express 4.0 and better than M.2 ultra intel was playing catch up on PCI express 3.0 and still had regular m.2 in all their boards until AMD was ready for pci express 5.0 my friend on intel bought the same NVME drives and complained they had corruption errors or issues i later learned his board wasnt fast enough and he was maybe trying to use the samsung magician RAM disk and enable NVME features and functions intel maybe did not yet support.

You also cant use ethernet for monitors or displays, and its not like you can extend HDMI range limit of a about 10 to 15 meters by swapping its ethernet wires with optical ones for it to maintain its HDMI 0 latency spec or type C USB 0 latency spec. USB lets you connect heaps of devices you cant do that with an internet or ethernet for things like keyboard and mice or monitors or whatever. But low latency 128 or 256 is maybe best but not all are an option and most networking features on the intel LAN adapters are missing countless advanced ethernet properties and settings because they're fake and lousy and the worst latency ever and they literally seem to swap your windows kernel out with something not realtime so you cannot ever hope to record or playback audio or video or anything close to a video game in hopes of slowly selling it back to you. Linux distros did this too its the dumbest thing ever that to hear or record or playback or play games you must patch in a realtime kernel for free to game like its the 80s and 90s or DOS or whatever. most 90s PCs were CAS 1 or lower nanoseconds. DDR 3 1600mhz depending the maker might be CAS1-4 latency. Yards were full so went for a walk in parking lot. Very good on leash, does not pull. Relieved himself quickly. Enjoyed sniffing and exploring. Sat for a bit in one of the parking lot enclosures. Norman sat quietly next to me and enjoyed being petted. Easy to walk back to his kennel and exit.” “A couple wanted to meet Norman. He was easy to leash and we all went inside a play yard. He was in his ISO kennel and excited to get out, happily spinning but easy to leash. An ACT checked his paws prior to leaving due to his last medical note. He was fine and ready to go. He walked out no problem but I had to lift him up to get him into the car. In the car he was calm and just laid in the back seat. When we got to the destination he had no issue to get out of the car by himself and pulled me around to sniff. On the walk he was a strong puller and seemed to be a bit overwhelmed at first with all the smells and impressions after being in the ISO kennels for a while. He could definitely benefit from some leash training. He was definitely interested in the other dogs on the pack walk but showed no aggression or reactivity - Marge lunged and barked at him at one point but he didnt react. We encountered joggers and bikers on the walk to which he showed no reaction. The area we walked through had a lot of cats but none came very close so its hard to tell if hes safe with cats - if we passed any at a distance there was no reaction. When we took breaks and had all the dogs closer together he was calm and laid down. People came up to him on the walk and he interacted well with them. After the walk we gave the dogs a bath. I had to lift Norman into the tub. He was fine with me washing him, touching his legs and paws. He didnt mind the blow dryer or me drying him with a towel. Afterwards we went to an outdoor patio - Norman first didnt want any of the hot dogs offered to him, but once he had settled a bit he enjoyed them. When I went into a coffee shop he calmly waited with another volunteer. While at the patio, he came in for pets and laid by my feet in close vicinity to Beto without issue. Overall he was very calm around all the people and dogs. He was again good in the car on the way back to the shelter. At the shelter I got permission to move him to an outside kennel. Not marking it as a walk, as it was very short. Gave him snuggles, and he approached both Baha and myself for pets. Such a sweet guy.” “Good behavior from gentle Norman. Yards were full so went for a walk in parking lot. Very good on leash, does not pull. Relieved himself quickly. Enjoyed sniffing and exploring. Sat for a bit in one of the parking lot enclosures. Norman sat quietly next to me and enjoyed being petted. Easy to walk back to his kennel and exit.” “A couple wanted to meet Norman. He was easy to leash and we all went inside a play yard. There was a dog in the adjacent yard and Norman ran back and forth alongside the center fence, barking and trying to get the attention of the other dog. When the other dog was taken from the yard, Norman went to the couple, sat next to them, and allowed them to pet him. The couple said they were interested in Norman but they wanted to think about adopting. I returned Norman to the kennel without any issues.” “Norman went on a pack walk today. He was in his ISO kennel and excited to get out, happily spinning but easy to leash. An ACT checked his paws prior to leaving due to his last medical note. He was fine and ready to go. He walked out no problem but I had to lift him up to get him into the car. In the car he was calm and just laid in the back seat. When we got to the destination he had no issue to get out of the car by himself and pulled me around to sniff. On the walk he was a strong puller and seemed to be a bit overwhelmed at first with all the smells and impressions after being in the ISO kennels for a while. He could definitely benefit from some leash training. He was definitely interested in the other dogs on the pack walk but showed no aggression or reactivity - Marge lunged and barked at him at one point but he didnt react. We encountered joggers and bikers on the walk to which he showed no reaction. The area we walked through had a lot of cats but none came very close so its hard to tell if hes safe with cats - if we passed any at a distance there was no reaction. When we took breaks and had all the dogs closer together he was calm and laid down. People came up to him on the walk and he interacted well with them. After the walk we gave the dogs a bath. I had to lift Norman into the tub. He was fine with me washing him, touching his legs and paws. He didnt mind the blow dryer or me drying him with a towel. Afterwards we went to an outdoor patio - Norman first didnt want any of the hot dogs offered to him, but once he had settled a bit he enjoyed them. When I went into a coffee shop he calmly waited with another volunteer. While at the patio, he came in for pets and laid by my feet in close vicinity to Beto without issue. Overall he was very calm around all the people and dogs. He was again good in the car on the way back to the shelter. At the shelter I got permission to move him to an outside kennel. He’s a good sweet boy who doesn’t deserve to die over this. Can anyone help? (fosteadopt/rescue) 🐾🐾🐾 „Looped Trey and knowing he might be mouthy I kept him moving and maneuvered the leash so he wouldn`t leash climb. Once in the yard I used a spray bottle to avoid any jumping on me and tossed a couple balls to burn some energy. Needed to dog test so grabbed my solid go-to Echo. Trey started out hot and needed to be a bit slowed down a bit but Echo gave appropriate corrections when needed. Added KD which was a good balance and after more chasing they all had a good rough and rowdy play session. Once he was good and tired Trey came over briefly for some pets. I was able to use a quick release and return him without issue.“ „Trey was too jumpy to leash through kennel door. Would not go for tossed treats. Able to easily leash from back cubby. Moderate pull to yard. In yard, at first ran around, sniffed and pooped. Tends to get jumpy so kept throwing a tennis ball alternating with a kong. After a bit, he seemed to get bored and started jumping on me and humping my leg. He then got overly excited and continued jumping. When I picked up the leash to go back he jumped up and grabbed the leash. Speaking into the void because these battles aren’t worth it in real life. I’m 20 years old and this is my first time living with (4 other) people that aren’t my folks. It is a house that is being sublet to me. I plan to move out with my boyfriend later this summer.
The Bad Parts that Bother Me
• the place is generally kinda gross. water-rotted ceilings in the bathrooms, random junk everywhere (a random bicycle in the backyard?), dirty walls, unwashed carpet constantly scattered with dog kibbles, earwigs getting in, unorganized fridge full of food of various ages, dining area unusable because it is full of clutter, long haired female roommate that sheds like a golden retriever.
•my roommate’s dogs, love the sweet little bugs, are poorly trained pandemic puppies. will bolt out the door if you don’t open it carefully. owners don’t know how to train them and scold them like human children. literally call them “the kids”
•no fire alarm in my room????
•my closet door is always coming off track
•roommate smokes strong weed inside the house. i know he’s home when i smell it wafting under my door.
•having to remember to move my car to the other side of the road for street sweeping. got a $70 ticket once
The Good Parts I am Grateful For
•have a space away from my dysfunctional family dynamics. i don’t like hanging out at my parent’s house for too long or i start feeling claustrophobic.
•cheap rent for the HCOL city
•my roommates are all nice people, haven’t had any personality problems with any of them
•HUGE mulberry tree in the yard
•i can have my boyfriend over literally whenever i want to
•good neighborhood with lots of fruit trees, shops, not too far from work.
•one of my roommates is my coworker (they extended the offer of staying) and we can gossip together
•i love my roommate’s dogs
•fun decorating my room how i like
•overall not bad learning experience living with other people :)

This audit is an amazing first step and shows that we DO have some power to FIGHT BACK on this arbitrary, chaotic, RTO.

Joint Legislative Audit Committee Unanimously Passes Review of State Worker Return-to-Office Mandate SACRAMENTO – Today Assemblyman Josh Hoover (R-Folsom) announced the passage of his proposed audit regarding the recent return-to-office (RTO) mandate for state workers. The requested audit was unanimously approved by the Joint Legislative Audit Committee on a 13-0 vote and will study the rationale, timing, legality, and costs associated with the decision to rescind telework privileges for state employees. By and large, state agencies have praised telework policies and the enhanced productivity they provide. “The decision to force state employees back to the office is harmful and counterproductive,” Assemblyman Hoover said. “I am grateful for the support of my colleagues on my audit to further study the effectiveness of telework policies that allow the state to remain competitive with the private sector. I urge the Governor to reconsider his RTO mandate, at least until the results of the audit are made available.” The California Department of General Services currently manages 59 state office buildingstotaling over 13 million square feet of office space, and spends over $600 million per year on rent to maintain more than 2,000 leases for state departments in privately owned buildings. Telework has the potential to reduce this footprint and provide substantial budgetary savings. Telework policies have also eliminated nearly 400,000 metric tons of carbon emissions, reduced traffic congestion, and saved workers hundreds of dollars per month in vehicle expenses. ”We have significant work to do to revitalize downtown Sacramento,” Hoover added. “Adding housing, addressing homelessness, and spurring economic development must all be part of the solution. But it should not be done on the backs of state workers.”

I've been looking at IPL devices and had narrowed it down to the Braun Silk Pro 5 or the Ulike 10. Of course, I'm a bit hesitant to make the purchase because they are expensive in Canada.
Now, I'm at that point where I am trying to figure out if those are worth the money or if there is something with similar specs at a lower price point.
