I was 19 when I first experienced romantic relationships. He was 20 years older than me and married.
I stayed in that relationship for over four years. After that, I realised that I was more into women and explored my attraction toward them. I ended up dating a girl for over two years and a half. After that I had a very traumatic experience that has truly shifted the way I see myself, other people and relationships. I've become quite the cynic I suppose.
There is this man. There is a profoundness and sensitivity to him that makes me feel at home. We can talk about anything, from physics to philosophy, art or politics.
We've been in each other's lives for over 10 years. On and off as we lived in different countries and cities and neither of us was particularly active on social media and WhatsApp but we always reconnected and felt at home with each other. Recently, we both came back to our home countries and reconnected yet again.
We finally spoke about the elephant in the room which is this extraordinary connection sometimes accompanied by sexual tension.
We went on a trip and spent the night in a hotel. We didn't kiss or anything, we just opened up and cuddled. I told him that I am in a very confused place, where I crave women but I see myself with a man in the long run, while I cannot have sex with them. I mentioned to him that he wants to have a family and is almost 40 years old. I'm young and have serious doubts about if I am wife and mother material, I just don't want him to get distracted with me instead of finding a woman that can give him what he needs.
I crave love and commitment as much as I fear it, and just want to be okay within myself. I don't trust other people to fulfil this need for me, I simply think they can't and to an extent, shouldn't.
In our next trip together, and quite in a casual manner, he told me, after I asked, that he was dating a girl he had met in the country he lived in before moving back here.
A part of me felt sad, but a great deal of me felt, relief. I almost kissed him. I've been wanting to for a really long time but I didn't want to hurt him in any way, as he has been after me for almost 10 years and has clarified he sees me as his wife and mother of his children.
It is as if a weight had fallen off my back when he said he had someone else. And all of a sudden I felt this urge to have sex with him. I felt so liberated knowing that he has someone to fulfil his needs, which I'm not sure I can and want to fulfil.
Does this make any sense? Have you been there? How did you overcome this?

My grandmother is passing away so I booked flights from the USA to London, UK to let my infant and 5 year old son see here for the first and last time. I’m not sure how much time we have hence the urgency in booking.
Arrived at the airport today with American Airlines and found out that due to my son’s US passport expiring within 6 months he is not allowed to enter Europe. I’ve now missed my flights. I feel like such an idiot for not checking this, but assumed it was the same 10 year passport as my wife’s who got it the same time. It’s still technically valid but just not for 6 months as required.
AA staff all told me different things - initially that they could cancel my flights and they would be valid credit to rebook within a year. Then I was told by a separate customer service agent that this is not possible because I only booked for basic economy and with the flight being international I wouldn’t receive a refund, but could rebook within a week and retain credit. I’m still unsure if that’s true.
Is there anyway to at least be refunded the taxes as we even paid almost $200 just for a lap seated infant. The flight for the 4 of us is more than could normally afford and I’m heartbroken. I’m looking into expediting a new passport for my son but I’m unsure how quick that would be or if it’s even possible.

I wrote out and edited the story for 5 hours with context on how I got screwed over by a friend of 10+ years, but even with a throwaway and vague detail, I'm scared they'll find it before I get a chance to get advice here and find my solution.
If they do find this somehow- Sorry. This is how I felt. I hid it, but now I need help.
To keep it briefer than brief (this is leaving out a lot), I moved in with two friends of 10+ years, the neutral party (x) and the one I'm having difficulties with (y) and their partner (z). Thought it would be okay, especially since Y and I had lived together previously on campus for a year, but I'm realizing we never had to mix finances or relationships then.
X and Y lived in this home for a year before I moved in taking over the other person's spot on the lease.
Y recently started dating Z after flirting for some time. It became evident after moving in that Z only went home once or twice a week.
Over the next few months, Z was only going home 2-3 times a month but still not paying rent or utilities.
Y and Z left trash in the garage and forgot about it in the middle of summer which caused maggots to fester in the corner and made everything smell like decay instead of putting it on the 2nd story back porch until pick up. My partner ended up being the one to clean it because their PC set-up was in the garage, and they didn't help or offer a sincere apology.
There were always leftovers on the stove, and in the fridge for months, getting moldy until I tossed them. Y and Z don't even like leftovers, so I don't know why they ever kept them. They only did dishes maybe 2-3 times in the whole time we all lived there.
Doing laundry was a nightmare. The machines were in the bathroom downstairs (X, Y, and Z all lived downstairs, and my partner and I were upstairs). I worked overnights and didn't want to wake anyone since they had dogs that would bark at the slightest of sounds. I did most of my laundry on days off, but even then, but washing machine had dirty clothes in it 90% of the time and was half or nearly full of unwashed dirty clothes 50% of the time. I didn't mind washing a couple of things with mine but when it was full I had to run the load (often Y's) before I could even start mine.
Overall, there wasn't much effort to keep the house tidy or clean by Y, and Z did their part downstairs, but never with anything upstairs.
Financially screwed over because Y and Z decided they wanted to get their own place a couple of months after we finally asked Z to pay rent. Wanted to move out a month before the holidays even though none of us had any savings.
Negotiated the move till after the holidays. Then my life fell apart for unrelated reasons, and I had to take a lot of time off work.
X gets an offer to graduate school and now has to move one month after the initially agreed-upon month. We decide we can scrape up the cash to afford one extra month without Y and Z. Y and Z say they'll stay the extra month too since they're still looking for a new place.
Suddenly, they're moving out and not staying the extra month. I guess their way of telling me was to complain about an apartment manager being difficult with an application. I figured they were putting in an early application since they didn't mention moving at all.
Now we have to scramble to find the money we don't have to not only move but cover an extra $700. Then I lost my job the same week. My partner and I had to resort to borrowing money from family. One of the hardest things to admit when you were just doing so well.
Y and Z said they were moving out early to be able to help clean before the move-out to get the security deposit back, didn't come back to clean or finish moving until 4 days before we had to vacate. Didn't get the last of their things until the evening on the final day of the move-out.
I should've addressed the issues as they came up, but it's too late for that. All these issues and trying to keep the peace put my mental health in the worst place it ever was. The worst part is they don't even know it.
Now Y wants to catch up and talk like normal, but I've emotionally removed myself from the friendship. A lot of family and other friends who are around me and know the full context have told me to cut contact. I've been keeping it to a minimum because I just don't know what to do now. I'm bitter about everything and feel betrayed, but I know Y knows none of this and even if I did cut off contact, I would want them to know the reason. But the whole reason I never brought is because I feel like Y takes any kind of criticism, no matter how lightly it's delivered, as a personal attack and shuts down.
X is still trying to be neutral about it but was also hurt and betrayed in the end especially when we had the rug pulled out from under us in the last month. Again, a lot is missing here since I don't want to air out all of our dirty laundry online, but I genuinely just don't know how to navigate this without dragging X in.
So, I guess my question I would like advice on is
a) Do I keep this friend in my life and try to resume what we had after a conversation about what went on in that home?
b) If I do talk it out, how do I bring up and navigate this conversation without it feeling like an attack?

I've come to a point where I don't want to be in this relationship at all. Before having a child we were already having issues in our relationship. I understand I won't be around my child as much and I can't tell you how much that would hurt but i also understand what's best for my child and being around a couple constantly bickering over the dumbest things will have a negative effect on the child.
We've been dating for about 4 years now. So when i started losing interest was relatively close to her knowing about her pregnancy. I expressed my feelings and what needs weren't being met on my end and wanted to hear what she thought about it. She thanked me and suggested we continue to work things out. During this time it wasn't so bad because I wasn't spending as much time with her. Id be working 50 - 60 hours trying to save up for the baby to come.
The first few months when the child arrived wasn't as bad but after 4 months things started to escalade. My constant argument was she would never let me hold my child when she was mentally and physically exhausted from feeding the baby. Arguments such as. "you never let me have time with my child" and " let me change my kids diaper." Everything was constantly around her time. I'd offer her breaks when id get back from work and when id go to sleep around 2am 3am is when she thought it was a good idea for her to hand me the child. I didn't argue at first but I definitely let her know after the child was awake, leading to multiple arguments. She would take a shower as the baby was asleep sometimes even bringing the baby inside the shower..
A couple of weeks go by, mind you same issues are happening, she lets the child fall from her bed while looking for clothes to change her. I was a room away eating at the time so I cant confirm if she just blanked out and forgot about the kid because I don't believe her when she said it happened all in a second. I rushed in to check for any serious injuries while making she sure her mother was calm but you can guess how much of a freak she became, knowing very well that her ignorance led to this.
No serious injuries although my child is still getting over that trauma till this day. Obviously I used this against her and I may have gone overboard. I read about post partum and focusing on points like: No Judgement, Be responsive, Protect her space, Encourage her, Praise her etc. I tried for about 4months up until this accident. Things have changed drastically.
She will say things like "You are being a narcistic trying to control everything" or "You love your cousin more than you love your daughter." These are just a few of the multiple examples I'm dealing with. So imagine trying to help your partner everyday. You are constantly being humiliated by your partner. I know plenty of mothers out there that would die for this kind of help and here I am venting about how I cant even change my kids diaper because her mom wants to do every little thing.
I told her if things don't work out she can still live with me and I will always take care of them but I know for a fact she wouldn't be comfortable with that. Honestly don't expect her to, but she's not working so what option does she have? I'm at a point where I'm done and I don't want this relationship anymore. It wouldn't be the first time either. I have had this conversation with her about 4 to 6 times in a span of 10 months.
I don't have a social life either, I mean I will let her know if I go out to play sports on the weekend but that's about it. Open to ideas. Therapy isn't one she refuses and she will say I'm too manipulative to have a third person sit with us and discuss issues regarding what was stated above.

There's one for everyone's taste (but ofc, it's Japan, so you know there are no black characters, and since it's a joseimuke, there are no muscly guys as well).Anybody who knows idol games and other joseimukes (like Twisted Wonderland) might be used to this divide of different units, but this isn't that important. At the beginning of the game you have to choose a character to be awarded with a free SR card of him. This choice isn't really important and you can easily get those SR cards in the gacha (SR cards aren't the highest rarity). The boys have beautifully done live2D animations in a couple of places, like their profiles, in the gameplay stages and in the story as well. For a couple of rounds (until the song ends, marked by a Youtube-like line advancing at the bottom of the screen), the line will spawn at the beginning of the board (from left to right, but some challenge stages might have the line going around in different directions) and any matches it touches have the whole matching group removed from the board and new tiles are spawned in their places (the board doesn't "fall" like in Candy Crush, so you can't plan that much since it's random which are the next tiles to appear). Any tile that's matched in groups of 3, 4 or 5 (in line or in T-form) are removed from the board, so you can make matches on the go.A bit of a breakdown about the gameplay mechanics:

For now, stages only offer 5 or 10 gems each, and story is level-locked. At least the starter events give a good amount of rewards, and you get a bit more than 30 pulls worthy of gems just for starting the game and an SSR ticket to play the gacha (random card). There was also a special b-day reward for one of the boys, and the 2nd day prize was 5 gacha tickets, but that reward was only available yesterday. I've only read 3 or 4 chapters and it was pretty corporative-esque, I don't enjoy the theme at all, but I've been playing for 3 days now only because of the fun gameplay.The game doesn't need a VPN to access and you can download it and play instantaneously through Qooapp or Taptap (links at the end). It also has a quality I don't often see in Japanese gachas: the UI is clean and minimalistic, and there isn't a lot of loading screens (although I've had a few disconnections, probably due to the distance I am from the main server in Japan). Well the weekend rolls around and he messages me saying when were we having dinner cause he wanted to cut it short to spend time with another relative ? Im confused cause this was supposed to be our time to kick it. So i naturally get irritated and tell do whatever he was going to do. So my wife hits him up to straighten it out and he says he will come through for dinner the next 3 days go by and he never called or anything and completely stood us up. This after my wife cooked an amazing dinner and I had to lie to my children as to why they didnt get to see their grand father. Afterwards I write him two scathing letters about how much of a coward he is and how he disrespected my wife and children by doing this.. He never responded.. Most family members were getting his side were he made up a lie but they are mostly playing the middle. SN: This is the second time he did this. Hello all. I am using a Windows 10 desktop computer for reference, which was custom-built around 2015 by someone who is no longer with us.
Something very strange has begun to occur on my computer, which started I believe a few weeks ago. On certain programs, scrolling seems to be broken, and the programs scroll up without my permission. This occurs, for example, in the Settings menu, as well as VLC and a few other programs. This has manifested itself in the form of things like difficulty in uninstalling programs, since I cannot scroll down, or volume control and even skipping in VLC, along with the inability to open drop-down menus. I also just tested with Notepad and cannot scroll in that either. I do not know what might have started this, since I do not remember installing anything around the time this started.
What's strange is that this isn't universal to all programs. I am using Google Chrome, for example, and can scroll just fine on that. I can also scroll fine on Steam. I have a feeling this is a driver issue, but I checked my drivers and they are up to date. I have attempted restarting as well, and I have tried multiple computer mice, neither of which fixed the problem. I have not, however, tried un- and reinstalling the drivers, which I saw suggested on another site.
Does anyone know what could be going on here? I don't believe it is a hardware issue, although I am admittedly not very knowledgeable about PC hardware so I wouldn't know.

I’m not really great at posting or talking about things but I kind of don’t really know where to find the best feedback something like this so I figured I would try my luck here.
A couple of weeks ago, I met up with someone who was an older gay man and we were talking and as the night went on we talked about our coming out stories. He told me his story and his experience and then it was my turn. For some years now, whenever it would come up I would just say that I knew I was gay when I was teenager and just came out when I was 19 to my mom while I was in college. This person asked if there was a reason. I tried to remember back to if there was one (I’m 29 now, so this was all almost 10 years ago) and then I started to remember why I came out in the first place.
I had just gotten off work that day and it was awful. My roommate was 21 at the time and before I left for work I left some money for him to buy me a handle of Jäger and after I got home I knocked back the handle in under an hour or so. After a couple of hours my roommate came home and said some of his friends were coming by to watch the game and asked if I wanted to join them. My roommate and his friends were all straight and I thought we all got along well so I was excited. His friends came over and we were having a good time until the one of my roommates friends showed up that I didn’t like. I went about my night and didn’t let it bother me. I was having fun and kept drinking and surprisingly didn’t black out. As the evening went on, my roommate and his friends were going to the bars. I couldn’t go since I didn’t have a fake and I needed to sleep it off.
A few minutes go by, and I get a text from my roommate saying his friend (the one I didn’t care for) had to come back up and get his wallet. He came alone and I let him into the apartment. I tear the apartment apart looking for his wallet and said to him it’s not here. I turn around and he’s sitting down in a chair not looking for his wallet. I asked him “what are you doing”. He said I know you’re gay. From there it erupted to us shouting at each other and I said he had no right to do this. I wanted him out but he wouldn’t leave. I hit him and hit him. He grabbed my arm and said don’t do that again. I hit him with my free hand. Then he grabbed me and we rolled around on the floor hitting each other. I screamed for help and no one came. He got up a couple of minutes later said something and left.
He came around a couple of more times after that but I haven’t seen this person in a long time. I hadn’t thought about this in a long time and I don’t know why I’m starting to remember all of it. It was after that event, I figured since I lived in such a small town people are going to know if they didn’t already and that made me come out to my mom.
Is this normal? How do I process this?

I currently live in California, and I was wondering what would be my best option between declaring bankruptcy and debt relief.
In summary, I have been scammed by Sochi, a masseuse school (I am only including it so you can be aware of their fraudulent behaviour). They created a fake high school diploma for me in order to reap the rewards of having access to a government loan, which cost me roughly 16K.
Additionally, I have also been in a car accident a few years ago. I am not certain of the nature of the accident, as in, I am not certain if it was officially declared criminal. In short, the other vehicle swerved purposefully in our lane and front ended us, and I was not the driver, so I definitely was not considered at fault. However, the accident caused me to be hospitalized for a total of 6 to 8 months. I was insured at the time, but due to the Californian law protecting the hospital from disclosing what can and cannot be covered by my insurance, I ended up with a bill totalling over 100K.
And finally, I have three small debts of roughly 3K total with different banks. Tl;dr: I wasn't able to pay them back because I was in the hospital.
Overall, I am thus looking at a crippling debt of 120K give or take.
Here is where I really need advice:
1) My current plans involve moving to another country to make a life with my partner. 2) If I get married to my partner, would my debt impact them as well, even though it would be in another country? And if so, how would it impact them? 3) Due to wanting to be there sooner rather than later, I have about a year and a half to clear my current debt situation. 4) I currently do not own a house or a car, and I have no dependants. 5) My credit score is currently completed ruined.
I am leaning strongly towards the bankruptcy route due to not owning any valuable assets, so my main questions specifically tied to bankruptcy are:
6) What kind of chapter would I have to sign for? 7) Does anyone know a good lawyer they could recommend in the Los Angeles county? 8) How much would it realistically cost me in court / lawyer fees? 9) How long does the process take, i.e. could it be resolved within a year's time?
I am still open to the idea of taking the debt relief option, but none of my current plans require for me to have credit. I am nowhere near having a down payment for a house, so I don't plan on acquiring a mortgage in the coming decade, and I could technically buy a used car with cash.

I’ve barely been in the Air Force, but my time here has been terrible. Racist roommate, which sgt’s wouldn’t let me change rooms, then a man my dad’s age touching me for over half a year (I asked him to stop, he refused). I talked to my therapist and she said I 100% have PTSD from the ongoing sexual assault. I also have flat feet now apparently and was told that’d automatically get me 100%. I just talked with someone who said their friend had PTSD and other injuries and only got 10%. How does the process go for putting in for the disability and how do I know how much I’ll get beforehand? I don’t want to get out with just 10% and not have the military be there when I get back, but I really want to get out right now bc it feels like they just don’t care about us. Even after I put in a sharp report, I had to work with this guy for months after (he is GS) and even had an anxiety attack at work because of him.

This is a burner account bc my main has mutual. Idk where to even start but here it goes. I’m 7 weeks pregnant after trying on and off for 2 years we were hesitant to share the news right away. I found out at 10 DPO so I’ve known for about a month now. Mother’s Day was yesterday and my boyfriend wanted to tell his mom the news. His mom immediately started crying and came over and hugged both of us. She did say congratulations and was really happy. Here’s where I start to get annoyed. I said that we weren’t going to announce it on social media yet and she immediately calls her mom to share the news. She says congratulations to her daughter on FaceTime but nothing to me or my boyfriend. I said again we weren’t going to announce it on Facebook with her on the phone. Then before we could even order our food his mom makes a Facebook post about how she’s going to be a grandma. So I had to hurry up and make an announcement for my socials so my family would see it from me before her. I had already picked out an announcement from Etsy and had it customized so I just went ahead and posted it. His grandma then takes my picture from my Facebook with out saying congratulations or even liking the post and makes her own post about how she’s going to be a great grandmother now. All his cousins and aunts viewed my Snapchat and didn’t reply. They all messaged him and said congratulations but no one commented or liked my post or messaged me.

I hope you're all doing well. I'm reaching out to seek some advice regarding an issue I've encountered with my WD external hard drive, which I purchased about a year and a half ago.
Over the past few weeks, I have noticed that certain folders on the drive take longer than usual to open and display the files within them. However, yesterday, following lunch, the external SSD drive was accessible, and towards the end of the day, I observed that the D: partition appeared different. Upon attempting to access it, I encountered the error message "Drive is not accessible. The parameter is incorrect."
In my attempts to resolve the issue, I researched online solutions and came across recommendations to run chkdsk d: f/ in the command prompt. Although for some users this resolved the issue, in my case, the process halted at 3%, with 16,000 sectors scanned, where it remained stuck, indicating that it couldn't read certain sectors, every single sector scanned between 16.000 and 18.000 was unreadable. Despite knowing that for some individuals the scanning process may take up to two days and it worked afterwards , I also read on various forums that forcing a problematic hard disk to undergo such intensive scanning might not be advisable. Consequently, I terminated the scan. Now, when I try to access the hard drive, it no longer presents the aforementioned error; instead, it prompts me to format the partition to gain access followed by the error message: "The volume does not contain a recognized file system. Please make sure that all required file system drivers are loaded and that the volume is not corrupted."
What concerns me greatly is that the hard drive was functioning earlier today, and after installing some free software on my computer to facilitate bypass Google verification for an old Android phone (Huawei y7), I noticed the hard drive was no longer accessible. I had the phone connected to the same PC, and I wonder if there could be a correlation. For instance, could those software contain viruses, or could an action initiated by one of those software towards the connected phone have confused the USB ports, potentially affecting the hard drive? Additionally, I am troubled by the fact that programs such as Aomei, EaseUS Recoverit, and 4DDig indicate the partition as being empty, which distresses me greatly considering the photos I have stored there. While I am certain I did not format the drive, I must mention that today, as I attempted to address the issue above with a phone, I inserted a microSD card reader, formatting a microSD card; however, I am positive I did not select the wrong partition, as I double-checked my actions.
Lastly, I attempted to connect the hard drive to a MacBook Pro, having read that in certain cases, this facilitated access to the hard drive.
Do you believe there's any chance of retrieving files from the hard drive? Any guidance or advice you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

We’ve bested Kel’Thuzad and now tread boldly through Naxxramas and other raids each week, every Monday and Friday from 7 to 10 in the evenin’ Pacific time. We’re the shield and sword of the Light, and we need more heroes to stand with us!”
Jarl’s expression hardens as he continues, his tone dripping with reluctant acknowledgment.
“But there’s more to this tale, aye. On the other side of this grand battle, our rivals, the Horde’s own Requiem, are muster’in their strength. They aim to conquer Blackwing Lair for the first time this week. Saturday at 7pm Pacific. These foul Horde think they can outmatch us, but we’ll see about that, won’t we? Don’t worry, we’ll send a welcome party to greet them in the mountains. These mountains be the territory of us dwarves!”
A murmur of agreement ripples through the tavern, but Jarl’s voice rises again, silencing it.

Here, we have one guild per faction, locked in a ruthless rivalry with a thirst for blood and glory. Our community is strong, bound by honor and the desire to dominate. We’re callin’ on ye to transfer or reroll, and join the fray, be it with the honorable Legacy or the scoundrels of Requiem!”
The dwarf’s eyes gleam with excitement as he delivers the final news.
“And mark yer calendars, for this Sunday, we’ll have a server-wide Wargames contest: Horde versus Alliance, a battle to the death to claim the champion ring – The Rock! Who will stand victorious, and who will be left to lick their wounds? Only time will tell, but I’ll wager my last tankard of ale that the Alliance will come out on top!”

I'm sure the overwhelming majority of us have experienced being messaged by gross weirdos online, especially if you have any pictures of yourself on social media. I don't really get it these days but back when I was 15 it happened too often (I'm sure it's just a coincidence... Right?)
Anyway, one time I was messaged by this really disgusting 30-something year old on Facebook. "Hey I wanna fuck you and kiss you and fuck myself sexy sex" kind of gross. I went to his profile to see he had his wife tagged in some of his pictures as well as relationship status set to "married". So I screenshoted our "conversation" (which was just his creepy messages and me saying "Ew...") and I sent it to his wife. She saw my message but didn't reply so I was pretty bummed out. Like two weeks later I thought to check out his profile again and I saw he changed his relationship status to "in separation" and I think months later when I checked it was "divorced"
Won't lie, I'd like to think it was me that caused it. I'm amazed a 15 year old kid could think of something like that. My only regret is not doing it to every single creep who ever messaged me as well as not sending it to ALL of their family and friends, not just the wife
I still boast about it and on the days when I feel low, I remember this one achievement. 10/10 would recommend
