2024.04.03 03:03 NoxWizard69 Refund/Accountability at Jackson Hole

I am a longtime expert skier but new to Jackson Hole. I can do the double blacks that say EX not just the normal double blacks, and even did some triple blacks at Big Sky a few weeks ago, so naturally J-Hole would be a good fit for me. I did Colbert's Couloir the other day (inb4 people replying that it's closed, that doesn't stop me does it stop you?) and although it was a tough drop in, I hit the first turn pretty well and made it down without falling.
I went to a restaurant in Jackson after a fun day of skiing and went to order my free meal for doing Colbert 's and the waitress refused to offer me anything for free. I have been told by many locals and even a Google review that doing Colbert's entitles you to free food. How else do the locals afford to eat anything other than canned soup? I won't name the restaurant but it rhymes with Zillion Zollar Zowboy Zar.
I then went to another restaurant, a BBQ joint that should soon be renamed to A-Hole BBQ after this experience. I asked for free brisket, or even a free side for doing Colbert's and the waiter laughed in my face.
I was hoping this would be my favorite mountain on the IKON pass (made the switch from Epic after 10 years, but might have to get both next year) given the percentage of expert only terrain and the town having a Kemosabe. I am disappointed with how friendly the town is to fellow expert skiers, I thought that is what made this place cool.
Does anyone else feel this way? Can anyone share insight how to get refunds for tabs paid in full AFTER doing Corbett's?

Lorenzo - Has found a job as an executive chef at a local Italian restaurant. He jokingly says that he wasn't going to become a fine dining maestro overnight, but feels that he has learned a lot from Chef Ramsay and is ready to see how far he can push himself. When asked about his relationship with fellow contestant Avery Bauer, he would not confirm anything beyond the fact that they were still in very close contact, and that he had recently visited her restaurant.
Marshall - Left his old job after a few months and became a chef at a higher-end restaurant. He has become a strong advocate for encouraging aspiring chefs who may feel they lack a voice. He has said that since finding his own voice on Hell's Kitchen, he wants to make sure others know that they can rise above their insecurities and become great chefs in their own right.
Cassie - Was promoted to executive chef shortly after her appearance on Hell's Kitchen. She says the experience was a worthwhile one, despite the constant bickering between her and her teammates, as she was able to prove her doubters wrong and get into the top 4. She believes the show portrayed her in an overly negative light, but says she is grateful that Chef Ramsay recognized her potential.
Wade - Was soon hired by an upscale restaurant and has continued his rise in the culinary world. He says that he continues to talk to his former teammates, and that they have remained strong friends since the show aired. He also expresses tremendous gratitude to Chef Ramsay for guiding and mentoring him throughout Hell's Kitchen and is excited for his future in the industry.
Avery - Now works as an executive chef and says she still plans to start her own restaurant someday soon. Since finishing second in Hell's Kitchen, she has received many lucrative opportunities in the industry and is considering them all very carefully. Avery would not elaborate on her relationship with fellow contestant Lorenzo Rossini, only saying he had visited her restaurant recently and they had a very enjoyable evening.
Ken - Has spent the last few months working at his new position as the executive chef of Hell's Kitchen D.C. Since his memorable victory, Ken says he and his family's life has changed in ways he could never have imagined, as he is now capable of providing a better life for them all. Ken continues to keep in contact with his former teammate Nolan Corbett, and they remain good friends to this day. Ken is still engaged to his fiancée Sophie and has confirmed that shortly after season 23 aired, Ramsay invited them to have their wedding at Hell's Kitchen.

Atomix - Sebastian Quiroz - Spanish - 95 / 100
With a series of large and small improvements to its story, visuals and gameplay, Persona 3 Reload is the definitive version of the PlayStation 2 classic. This is one of the best remakes of the year.
COGconnected - James Paley - 87 / 100
I loved this game when it first released on the PS2. It felt almost too cool for console gaming, too crisp for the era in question. Even now, Reload carries a timeless charm that keeps me engaged. The battle system has been polished, the visuals are totally overhauled, and the game is bigger than ever. There’s pacing problems to be sure, and the gameplay loop isn’t for everyone. Plus, fans of certain versions will find this edition somewhat lacking in features. But maybe that’s okay? I’d rather judge this game on what it is, rather than what it isn’t. And Persona 3 Reload is an excellent evolution of a PS2 classic that fans new and old will almost certainly love.
Cerealkillerz - Nick Erlenhof - German - 8.7 / 10
Persona 3 Reload is such a splendidly reworked version that it can almost feel like a completely new Persona. Gorgeous visuals, a perfectly remixed soundtrack, an improved battle system and a finally updated, albeit still in parts boring, trip through Tartarus really leave little to be desired when embarking on a trip to the Gekkoukan school. It's just a shame that the female protagonist and the additional chapter "The Answer" are still missing.
Chicas Gamers - Raúl Pinto - Spanish - Unscored
Persona 3 Reload is a turn-based RPG, as well as a narrative adventure, that brings back the acclaimed ATLUS game in a magnificent remake full of content. We find a game that is based on Persona 5 in terms of gameplay and appearance, having incredible gameplay and graphic style, in addition to a very good job with the old soundtrack and the new pieces introduced. The only problem is being completely overwhelmed by the FES content, an aspect that should not happen in a remake.
ComicBook.com - Logan Moore - 4.5 / 5
Persona 3 Reload definitely still feels dated in some areas, which isn't always expected from a modern remake. Despite this, some of these older aspects of Reload are what I came to appreciate the more that I played.
ComingSoon.net - Tyler Treese - 9 / 10
Remaking a legendary title is often a recipe for failure, but Persona 3 Reload lives up to its legacy and wonderfully updates the 2006 gem.
Console Creatures - Matt Sowinski - Essential
Persona 3 Reload is a fantastic way to experience a classic. The graphical and gameplay enhancements are meaningful, while the base story still shines years later. While the missing features from FES and Portable are missed, this is the definitive way to experience Persona 3.
Dexerto - Noelle Corbett - 5 / 5
If the goal of Persona 3 Reload is to modernize a classic JRPG from the PlayStation 2 era for a new generation of players, then it is undeniably a success. While there may be some legitimate disappointment over the lack of content from Persona 3 FES and Portable, what is here is more than enough to cement Reload’s status as a solid remake that delivers the now definitive version of Persona 3.
Digital Chumps - Will Silberman - 9.5 / 10
Persona 3 Reload is not a carbon-copied remaster of Persona 3 Portable or even Persona 3. It’s a refreshed perspective of Persona 3 that removes a good bunch of pain from older RPGs while retaining the charm and character of the original. It feels like many thoughtful decisions were made to better the game’s flow without compromising on its core experience or watering it down. My only concern is that owners of 2023’s Persona 3 Portable might feel like there aren’t enough changes to warrant a replay. But, if you haven’t yet experienced its source material, Persona 3 Reload is without a doubt the best version of the game to play.
Digital Spy - Jess Lee - 4 / 5
It's dark at times, but has a hopeful message. Through all the devastation, the cast learn to be there for each other and try to make the most out of life.
Digital Trends - George Yang - 4.5 / 5
Persona 3 Reload is a win-win of a remake for old and new Persona fans alike.
Digitally Downloaded - Matt Sainsbury - 5 / 5
While I personally prefer the more textured narrative of Persona 4, the unrelenting focus and intensity of Persona 3 means that it still stands out as one of the greatest and most intelligent video game narratives. The developers haven’t done too much to mess with that (the decision to leave out a “post-game” chapter that was both technically unnecessary but yet well-regarded notwithstanding), and have otherwise focused on modernising both the look and flow of the game to make it the most enjoyable and “clean” version of Persona 3 yet. Persona has a habit of attracting purists, and I foresee the discourse around this remake being particularly volatile. However, personally, I’ll be over there looking forward to the inevitable announcement that Persona 4 will get this treatment too.
DualShockers - Emma Ward - 9 / 10
Dive into the Dark Hour and awaken the depths of your heart. Persona 3 Reload is a captivating reimagining of the genre-defining RPG, reborn for the modern era with cutting-edge graphics and gameplay.
Eurogamer - Kaan Serin - 4 / 5
Reload adds welcome modernisations to the wonderfully deadly coming-of-age story that captured hearts in 2006, though visual tweaks undermine the thematic coherence.
FandomWire - Osama Farooq - 8 / 10
Persona 3 Reload takes the concept of remaking a beloved title and goes all the way through with it, especially when it comes to the visual finesse and the excellent presentation. The social simulation, interactions, and activities are some of the best ever put into a video game, making it feel immersive from the very first day at Gekkoukan High School.
There is always something to do in this wonderful city, ranging from the grand reopening of an old bookstore at the mall to heading to numerous restaurants to spend time with friends.
While the social links stand out as the undisputed highlight in Persona 3 Reload, it is the monotonous Tartarus and generic enemy designs that ironically slow things down and make the combat feel a bit dull compared to the other aspects of the game. The storyline is gripping and intriguing at the beginning and stays that way later on too, but because of the more serious elements that are never fully realized, it starts to lose its hold as time goes on.
However, the stunning animation, fluid gameplay, wide palette of character types, great soundtrack, and bustling setting make Persona 3 Reload a highly enjoyable remake.
GAMES.CH - Sven Raabe - German - 90%
Persona 3 Reload is a fantastic remake of an already great cult game. All kinds of clever gameplay innovations and an enormous amount of style make this a gripping JRPG that you shouldn't miss out on. The remake of the PlayStation 2 classic is even now a hot contender for the best role-playing game of the still quite young year.
GGRecon - Ben Williams - 5 / 5
Persona 3 Reload is one of the best remakes I’ve ever seen - a faithful but stunning reimagining of a classic JRPG that will please Persona veterans and newcomers alike.
With the only small negatives coming from Atlus’ dedication to recapturing the experience of the original, fans will without a doubt debate this being the best in the series after being reminded why Persona 3 is so spectacular.
Game Rant - Drew Swanson - 4.5 / 5
Overall, Persona 3 Reload is a fantastic package that offers enough new content to satisfy fans of the original, while remaining faithful to what made that entry so special. It's also an incredibly approachable entry for newcomers thanks to the myriad of enhancements to the Persona series' combat and social mechanics. It's clear that Persona 3 Reload isn't just a remake of an outdated game, it's an entry that is entirely its own and signals a bright future for the franchise in the post-Persona 5 era.
GameBlast - Farley Santos - Portuguese - 9 / 10
Persona 3 Reload stands out as an example of how to modernize a classic, remaining faithful to the original while introducing significant innovations, such as revamped visuals, additional events and new mechanics. However, some concepts remain in the past, such as repetitive dungeon exploration. With its strengths far outweighing its flaws, the game is a recommended experience for both longtime fans and newcomers to the Persona series.
GameSpew - Richard Seagrave - 8 / 10
Even with the issues you can pick at in this remake, though, there’s no denying that Persona 3 Reload is one hell of game. Its story is as engaging as ever, and now its gameplay has been notably improved, giving you more options in combat and out. Along with the new visuals and soundtrack, Persona 3 has never looked, sounded or played as good. It’s just silly that it’s arrived so close to the remaster of Persona 3 Portable: if you’ve played that recently, it might not grab your attention throughout due to its authenticity. For those who are yet to jump in or are keen to relive the classic yet again, however, simply play and enjoy.
GameSpot - Jess Cogswell - 9 / 10
Persona 3 Reload succeeds in elevating an unforgettable story with smart combat changes and drastically improved visuals.
Gameblog - KiKiToes - French - 9 / 10
Persona 3 Reload is an excellent remake and truly modernize the game by harmonize it with Persona 5. A truly impressive graphical leap that which brings new perspectives and brings some new features. The Tartarus still feels outdated and could have benefited from some tweaks. But Persona 3 Reload is still a memorable game and one of the best of the beginning of the year.
Gamer Guides - Chris Moyse - 75 / 100
One of the most esteemed and cherished RPGs of all time returns, smoother and smarter than ever. Unfortunately, Persona 3 Reload deals an incomplete hand, with disappointing omissions, stunted evolution, and a contentious price tag. Nonetheless, its indelible cast retain their infectious social spirit, set to break your heart and burn your dread all over again.
GamingTrend - David Flynn - 95 / 100
Persona 3 Reload is the best Persona game to date. It reimagines a fan favorite to be the best it can be, even if it does stumble in some ways. There are a few Social Links that could have used overhauling, and the game is a bit too faithful to the original in these ways. However, the overall experience is transcendent and took me straight back to hanging out with my virtual friends in high school, getting to know them and slicing up Shadows. There really is nothing out there like Persona.
Generación Xbox - Javier Gutierrez Bassols - Spanish - 90 / 100
Persona 3 Reload is everything a remake should be. A title that respects the essence of the original game and that, in addition to presenting a new graphic section, has several new features. This respect for the original, even though it has been remade from scratch, allows us to focus on improving and expanding some elements that were already good.
God is a Geek - Lyle Carr - 9.5 / 10
Persona 3 Reload improves the original version of the game in so many ways, and is absolutely essential for all RPG fans.
Hobby Consolas - Álvaro Alonso - Spanish - 92 / 100
Although it lacks two key pieces to be the "definitive version", Persona 3 Reload modernizes a classic to the level of today's great RPGs and includes enough new features to tempt those who already knew it once again. The best of both worlds, as they say.
IGN - Michael Higham - 9 / 10
With a stellar visual overhaul and countless small but impactful changes, Persona 3 Reload tells a timeless story of tragedy and hope with sharp emotional sincerity.
IGN Italy - Majkol Robuschi - Italian - 9 / 10
Persona 3 Reload is a pleasure to play. Throughout the adventure you switch between fighting and school activities with great fluidity, and it is safe to say that the 2000s JRPG that defined the entire genre is back in better shape than ever.
IGN Spain - Esteban Canle - Spanish - 8 / 10
Persona 3 needed a facelift, and Atlus has delivered. This adaptation respects the source material, and brings an iconic title that now has the opportunity to reach many more people into the modern age.
Metro GameCentral - GameCentral - 8 / 10
A solid, if strangely incomplete, remake which matches Persona 5 for presentation and has some of the most interesting and varied social link options of the whole series.
Noisy Pixel - Bailey Seemangal - 8.5 / 10
Persona 3 Reload is a highly-anticipated remake that doesn't deliver on all fronts. Still, it tries to do so with plenty of meticulous care. The added character scenes and new activities make the experience even more compelling, while the modernized visuals and new English voice cast live up to this classic's legacy. However, some of the new gameplay features make the experience too easy and forgiving. Additionally, the exclusion of some elements, like The Answer from Persona 3 FES, makes this launch less definitive than it could have been.
One More Game - Vincent Ternida - Buy
Persona 3 Reload is a triumph, considering the degree of difficulty that Atlus was challenged with when they decided to remake such a classic. Through a combination of thoughtful upgrades and leaving behind dated mechanics, this title is ready to satisfy the evolving taste of franchise fans while catering to newcomers and introducing them to the world of Persona.
Persona 3 Reload proves that you can have both a challenging and accessible JRPG without losing Persona 3’s core identity, as it refines the dated designs and systems of the original by bringing it in line with Persona 5, offering a modern take that stands tall among its peers.
PSX Brasil - Thiago de Alencar Moura - Portuguese - 90 / 100
Persona 3 Reload is an imperfect remake in which, although the lack of content from previous expanded versions bothers it, its novelties and the necessary (and very well executed) combat rework make this the best way to play the best narrative the series has ever had in a package with a great localization in PT-BR.
PlayStation Universe - Joe Richards - 10 / 10
Persona 3 Reload is a flawless reimagining of one of the most impactful RPGs of the PS2 generation and manages to carefully preserve just about everything I loved about the original game in a stylish bombastic package. The approach to modernising the gameplay is a masterclass and should be the gold standard going forward for RPGs of this ilk. For players who have only experienced modern Persona through Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal, you would be doing yourself a disservice by skipping this title. An equally wonderful cast and effective story lift this into one of the most impactful games that I have ever played and this new version means it can be enjoyed by a completely new generation.
Press Start - Harry Kalogirou - 9 / 10
Persona 3 Reload is a confident remake of a truly seminal RPG that cements itself as the definitive way to play Persona 3. It's clear that careful thought and deliberation has gone into every aspect of Reload to respect the legacy of Persona 3 while preserving its timeless charm and atmosphere. An absolute must play for any fan of the franchise, and a great point to jump in for those looking to take the plunge into Persona.
Prima Games - Patrick Souza - 10 / 10
Reload feels like a new game without deviating from the original. Almost every aspect has been improved, and it might be the new best point of entry for the series.
Push Square - Robert Ramsey - 9 / 10
Persona 3 Reload is a brilliant remake. In terms of gameplay, it's easily the best incarnation of a classic RPG, boasting countless quality of life and mechanical adjustments that place it alongside the outstanding Persona 5 Royal. Storytelling enhancements make the plot even more impactful, and the remade visuals are a joy to behold. Reload is borderline essential if you're yet to experience Persona 3, while also providing a near perfect way for existing fans to relive a seminal release.
Rectify Gaming - 9 / 10
Despite being a remake, Persona 3 Reload is undoubtedly at the forefront of mainline Persona titles. Fans have been asking for a re-imagining of Persona 3 for the longest time and Atlus has finally answered their calls. The game appeals to both fans and newcomers of the series, as it offers a compelling story, memorable characters, and addictive gameplay, all through a modern lens.
Rock, Paper, Shotgun - Matt Cox - Unscored
A repetitive journey through a year of quirky yet cheesy high school relationships, interspersed with tedious turn-based combat.
Shacknews - Donovan Erskine - 9 / 10
Persona 3 Reload is a treat for not only fans of the 2000s classic, but newcomers as well. ATLUS does an excellent job at preserving everything that made the original game special while modernizing it for those that may be experiencing it for the first time. It’s JRPG excellence at every turn, and one I’ll be sinking many hours into between now and the release of the next mainline Persona game.
Siliconera - Jenni Lada - 9 / 10
While I miss the female protagonist and the dungeon-crawling element may feel a bit dated, Persona 3 Reload is a joy to play and offers everything I could want from it.
Spaziogames - Gianluca Arena - Italian - 8.7 / 10
We disagree with the people at Atlus and their decision to leave Tartarus as it was, but nonetheless this is one of the best JRPGs of the modern era, and this remake makes it shine like it deserves. The one for this review was our fifth run in eighteen years and we still didn't feel any fatigue playing it. Let's just hope the devs will include Persona 3 FES and Portable content later down the road.
The Games Machine - Nicholas Mercurio - Italian - 9.5 / 10
Persona 3 Reload is a sensational work that is not just satisfied with being a remake but is, consequently, something that reformulates the development of ATLUS video games for an even wider audience. Choosing one of the greatest and most powerful works of the JRPG genre, thus forging a title to improve and revisit a work of the genre, was by no means an easy and immediate task. Indeed, it was something extremely complex. An incredible great return that can be summed up in the term "Masterpiece".
The Nerd Stash - Nat Collazo - 8.5 / 10
Persona 3 Reload is perfect for new and veteran fans alike and is sure to get fans of turn-based JRPGs turned on to the rest of the Persona series.
The Outerhaven Productions - Todd Black - 4.5 / 5
Persona 3 Reload is everything that fans of the franchise wanted from a remake and more. It doesn't change the story but builds upon the various gameplay elements that have become staples in the games that came after. Plus, the story and characters are incredible, and you'll love getting to know them more.
TheGamer - Jade King - 4 / 5
Inconsistent graphics and the lack of a female protagonist we had in Portable aside, however, this remains a solid means of enjoying one of the finest RPGs of the past two decades. Its writing is sharper, combat is more satisfying, and it brings this world to life in ways that just weren’t possible several generations ago. Reload might lack its signature rough edge, but those coming around for the first time will find plenty to love.
TheSixthAxis - Nic Bunce - 9 / 10
Persona 3 Reload is a dream come true for Persona fans. With far more than just a visual uplift, this is very much the best possible edition of the game, even if it can't quite be called 'definitive'.
Twinfinite - Zhiqing Wan - 4.5 / 5
Persona 3 Reload is an outstanding and worthy remake of a game that’s proven it can withstand the test of time. Welcome back to the dorm.
VG247 - Alex Donaldson - 4 / 5
At a certain point you have to step back and judge a game for what it is rather than what it isn’t. After all, if you want the female protagonist there’s Portable, and if you want the epilogue there’s FES. But as a stand-alone thing – as a convenient, modern, and attractive way to experience a truly great RPG classic – Persona 3 Reload is a wonderful offering.
VideoGamer - Antony Terence - 9 / 10
P3R’s poignant tale of acceptance is bolstered by smart combat refinements, deeper friendships, and a soundtrack you already love.
WhatIfGaming - Ali Hashmi - 9 / 10
Persona 3 Reload is a fantastic remake that cleverly integrates mechanics from subsequent entries to provide an experience that's polished, expertly paced, and full of heart. Its fast-paced combat, quality-of-life additions, and host of activities always keep you engaged no matter where you are in the story. The darker tone lends to an overall narrative that feels more consequential, and Tatsumi Port Island is a joy to explore. It's an excellent place for newcomers to the series and a must-buy for RPG fans.
XboxEra - Genghis Husameddin - 9.5 / 10
"But what I think Persona 3 Reload does best is that it brings one of my favourite Persona games to a new audience and excels at it. The visuals are gorgeous, the pacing isn’t overtly stretched out, the combat is fun and fluid, and the story is still great. Anyone can get in on this game’s excellent blend of school life and role-playing genres and I can wholeheartedly recommend this game, not just because Persona 3 is a classic for me, but because Persona 3 Reload is genuinely fantastic."

Narrator: Previously, on Hell's Kitchen...
Replaying key moments from S22 finale
N: Two worthy opponents faced off for the right to a $250,000 Grand Prize and a head chef position at Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen restaurant in Las Vegas, Nevada. Johnathan Benvenuti, the 28 year old sous chef from Huntington Beach, California, put his leadership skills to the test against Ryan O'Sullivan, the 28 year old chef from Cork, Ireland, each hoping to make their American Dream come true.
It was a hard fought battle, but in the end...
Replaying moment when Ryan's door opens
N: Making Ryan the 22nd exceptional individual to overcome every test, challenge and obstacle and add his picture to the Hell's Kitchen wall of fame. For the families and friends of the two finalists, it was a day to celebrate all that they had accomplished,. Chef Gordon Ramsay, however, isn't one to rest on his laurels for long.
Music stops, then starts again slowly
N: As soon as the celebrations had come to an end, Chef Ramsay was already thinking about the next group of hopefuls that would be walking through the front door of Hell's Kitchen. The process of creating a head chef worthy of a stunning high end restaurant is an ongoing one, but no matter how many times he has to start from scratch, Ramsay is determined to mold these rookies into his proteges. But this time, Ramsay has decided to return the competition to its roots, in more ways than one.
Dramatic music plays
Ramsay: "For the first time since season one, we are going to start with mixed gender teams, and we are going to stick with it."
Chefs are seen cooking frantically in both kitchens
Ramsay: 'The challenges have been reworked, a mix of the old and the new."
The chefs present their dishes to Ramsay, who is holding something similar to a punishment pass.
N: The one thing that hasn't changed is that in Hell's Kitchen, nothing is guaranteed, and no one can afford to let their guard down.
Ramsay: "The person leaving Hell's Kitchen is..."
The chefs look stunned
N: So get ready for another season of drama...
Chefs bickering
N: Culinary disasters...
Ramsay: "Shut it down!"
N: And eventually...
Ramsay: "That is absolutely delicious, one of the best in the history of this competition."
N: A chef who will rise to the occasion and cross the threshold to victory.
Door opens and the screen fades to black
Ramsay: "I tell every group of chefs this, but you lot need to know it most of all: Be ready for anything, and everything."

2023.11.24 11:25 dishfish_2 Looking for suggestions on where to explore Kumaoni cuisine.

We are planning a trip to Uttrakhand in January and will be visiting Jim Corbett and Sattal for a few days. During our time there we would like to explore and better understand local culture through cuisine.
Do you have any recommendations for dhabas/restaurants/farms/cooking classes that we can visit while we are there? We would love to have the opportunity to interact with locals and learn from them.
Thanks!

2023.07.24 15:01 stonescoldtakes NFL Recap: 07/17/2023 - 07/23/2023 - Teams are Back!!!

Layout:
— Individual Team News + Stone’s Cold Takes
— Miscellaneous/Other NFL News
— Featured Team of the Week (Product + Restaurant) - New York (Giants)
Arizona Cardinals:
Good news here that at least S Budda Baker is showing up but there is still a lot of work to be done to keep him happy and around. He definitely is one of the key pieces of the defense and is someone who has been around for quite some time. I hope something gets worked out here.
Atlanta Falcons:
Good to hear from TE Kyle Pitts and it appears to only be good news. He is looking good and healed up and is very confident in the offense and QB Desmond Ridder. Pitts will be key for Ridder in year 2 to make sure he can reach his potential and the team getting to be an “explosive” one like Ridder said. One thing no one will question though is the running back room because it was really good last year without RB Bijan Robinson and he should be an ever better weapon for the team than what they have had. Exciting times for Atlanta in a division that is wide open.
Baltimore Ravens:
Just about all good news for Baltimore! Rashod Bateman has kind of been forgotten a bit this offseason after the team added Zay Flowers and OBJ but Bateman could still prove to be an X-factor for the team. Picking up Melvin Gordon was a good move to add depth and could be a high upside addition with low risk. Overall things are looking up in Baltimore but they have a long road ahead with the rest of the division likely having improved as well this offseason.
Buffalo Bills:
Not much news here and that is probably welcome news for the team after not getting the greatest press this offseason. It can be good to have a break. The one things I am noticing though is that a lot of the talk show personalities are not talking the Bills to win the division and a lot of them are picking the Jets or the Dolphins. Maybe being doubted can help the Bills in the long run even though they still have sky high expectations.
Carolina Panthers:
It will be interesting to see what happens with QB Matt Corral this offseason because it sounds like he could be used in a trade if he plays well in the preseason and was just viewed as a QB who had high upside. Even though he disappointed last year when he got chances to play, maybe a year has given him the time he needed to catch up. There is no question that this team is providing mentors for young QB Bryce Young. Initially it was Frank Reich and Josh McC
own that everyone was talking about and now we are adding Jim Caldwell into the mix as another big mentor for Young going into camp.
Chicago Bears:
Well QB Justin Fields does not lack confidence that is for sure. He has guaranteed he will throw for 4k yards and also stated that he is a top 5 running QB. I am not here to disagree about either of those things and hope he can turn things around because he would be an exciting player to watch each Sunday if he can figure things out. On the defensive side of the ball, another edge piece would be a great add for this team and there are still plenty out there. Will be interesting to see who they end up getting.
Cincinnati Bengals:
Great news for the Bengals that while other teams are dealing with holdouts the Bengals are not with their biggest asset QB Joe Burrow. Now it is highly likely that the team will still get an extension done with Burrow and this deal has never appeared in jeopardy of not getting done but good to confirm that he is present.
Cleveland Browns:
I like how Kevin Stefanski is doing things to start out training camp away from home at the Greenbrier. It probably helps with quickly getting guys focused and away from potential distractions at home as well as gives them practice for then they are on the road and unable to practice at their home facilities. Tough news about WR Marquise Goodwin who had appeared to be building really good chemistry with QB Deshaun Watson. Injuries can pile up fast so hopefully the rest of the team can find ways to stay healthy and active.
Dallas Cowboys:
Newly acquired WR Brandin Cooks wants to get back to winning and with him that is going to be easier but not have G Zach Martin would make things significantly harder as he has been a staple of the team’s o-line. The team already has some complex contracts they are sorting through on both sides of the ball so this is another one they will have to get figured out here relatively quickly.
Denver Broncos:
This new look Broncos team is catching my eye. I know not too much has changed in terms of a lot of their key pieces are the same but the whole vibe feels different. Last year it was kind of about antics like the Let’s Ride stuff and QB Russell Wilson trying to suck away all the media attention. This year it is about focus and HC Sean Payton implementing his way of doing business. Also, really good news for the team is that RB Javonte Williams will not start training camp on the PUP list but something interesting is that WR Courtland Sutton still may end up getting traded. These rumors about him getting traded have been going on all year so hard to believe that something will materialize but it had been a few weeks since any new news had come out. We shall see what happens.
Detroit Lions:
Are the Lions going to be able to ride the hype train and deliver this season? That appears to be one of the bigger and more exciting questions this offseason. They made a good move this week getting WR Denzel Mims to complement the existing weapons they have in the offense. The not so good news is that one of their recently added CBs Emmanuel Moseley could take longer to recover than expected. In the meantime they should be able to hold things down but I am sure the team would like to have him sooner rather than later.
Green Bay Packers:
Not too much news here but the team added some depth at QB with USFL MVP Alex McGough. TE Luke Musgrave it sounds like should get every opportunity to start and it will be important for him and QB Jordan Love to get on the same page.
Houston Texans:
Kind of a move that would go under the radar but Jalen Hurd was always someone that was viewed as having a ton of upside when he was with the 49ers but could not stay healthy. Will be interesting to see if they keep him around after his workout and if he can carve out a role for himself in the offense.
Indianapolis Colts:
Sounds like the team is taking a potentially more conservative approach that what Owner Jim Irsay may have been leading us to believe in his recent media appearances. Sounds like he will start out camp splitting first team reps. I really feel like HC Shane Steichen is as good a coach as he is going to get for his specific skillset so hopefully he can speed up his progress a bit.
Jacksonville Jaguars:
Great move by the team to avoid having Smoot visit other teams and getting a contract agreed upon. Also, good news for the players that they have a beautiful new HQ where they will be working out from and spending a lot of time this season. Jaguars are likely going to be an exciting team again this year.
Kansas City Chiefs:
Bad news first. WR Kadarius Toney tweaked his knee during practice and did not return after all the talk of him being the #1 receiver on the team it is going to be vital that he can get back and stay healthy. The other bad news is that Chris Jones did not reprot and is holding out. He is an anchor on that defense and a lot of the times the defense helps to keep Mahomes in games and while they have allowed points seem to come up with big plays in the biggest moments. This will be an interesting situation to follow. Now for the good news. Even though Toney had to leave practice it sounds like every other receiver on the Chiefs offense has looked really good and the other good news is that it doesn’t sound like HC Andy Reid will retire anytime soon.
Las Vegas Raiders:
After all the offseason worry and speculation that Jimmy G might not be healthy enough for camp he was able to report and pass his physical right on schedule. The team did not get a deal done with RB Josh Jacobs and it is unclear what will happen for his future at the moment. Interesting to hear that WR Hunter Renfroe’s spot is in jeopardy because he to me seems like the Jimmy G’s type of receiver because he is someone he finds the short open spots in coverage and sits in them to help bail Quarterbacks out. This team will be interesting to watch this year but sadly I am not thinking they will be better than last year and may even take step back depending on what RB Josh Jacobs decides.
Los Angeles Chargers:
Not much news from the team but RB Austin Ekeler is still leading the charge on airing the RB frustrations throughout the league. I get why they feel the way they do but I also understand why owners and teams feel the way they do. When you look back on the last 10 Super Bowls in my opinion you really just see 1 where the RB was a key featured part of the offense in the 2014 Seahawks with RB Marshawn Lynch. Other than that there have been plenty of good RBs in Super Bowls but none that have been those star players like an Ekeler, McCaffrey, Henry, Chubb, etc. We shall see what happens and I understand how important and dynamic these running backs can be but don’t have a great solution yet for them to get paid what they are wanting and the owners to be willing to pay it. Maybe one of those more RB led teams winning the Super Bowl could help.
Los Angeles Rams:
Interesting to get more insight into what LA is thinking about Stafford and what actually transpired. It looks like the team may be stuck with him though and if I am Stafford I understand not wanting to restructure things after delivering a Super Bowl to the franchise.
Miami Dolphins:
Not too much news for the team but Tagavailoa got to talk to media and gives off the vibes that he is a simple guy who does not enjoy the media attention as much as others do. Hopefully along with his high hopes for this season he is able to stay healthy to help the team achieve those.
Minnesota Vikings:
Great to see Justin Jefferson report for camp as another player who is hoping to get a contract done and likely will end up being the highest paid WR. It not so good WR news WR Jordan Addison was caught having a little too much fun in his Lamborghini. Hopefully he can get things sorted out quickly and learn from this. QB Kirk Cousins got some high praise from Mahomes and Mariota as the most underrated QB. He did well on the tv series and I would say of all the QBs on the show his stock got boosted the most from it. It paint him in the light of the ultimate hardworking competitor who can play through pain/injuries.
New England Patriots:
Feels weird to hear that HC Belichick is on the hot seat like has been talked about in the last couple weeks. I feel like he will figure it out. It sounds like the team is still trying to add a weapon after missing out on WR DeAndre Hopkins and are in trade talks with the Broncos for WR Courtland Sutton. He would instantly come in and be Mac Jones’ #1 option.
New Orleans Saints:
Not too much news here just some of their list assignments. Hopefully the team can gel well with QB Derek Carr and they can find a way to get off to a fast start.
New York Giants:
So the big news here is clearly that RB Saquon Barkley did not reach a deal with the team by the deadline and right now things really do feel up in the air as to whether he will holdout or not. With that in mind the Giants made moves in my mind that each are to help replace him a bit if he does not play this year in signing RB James Robinson and WR Cole Beasley. Great additions for the Giants regardless of whether he ends up playing or not. Things are never easy in New York but things should be exciting in year 2 of HC Brian Daboll’s coaching career with the team.
New York Jets:
It is clear that we will get plenty of news about the Jets this season. Sounds like WR Garrett Wilson and Rodgers are making folks remember the Adams and Rogers days in Green Bay and that CB Sauce Gardner has been a fun player to watch matched up against them. It is interesting because almost all of the media attention has been positive with the Jets but like any QB, Aaron Rodgers is still settling in with the team and getting used to things. Don’t get me wrong, I think he is going to do great this year but it is still a little bit of a process to get everything going with a new team.
Philadelphia Eagles:
Not much news but the team was able to add help along the o-line with Dennis Kelly. Always a very good idea with a franchise QB well established.
Pittsburgh Steelers:
Great job by the Steelers in getting the deal done with Highsmith as he complement TJ Watt well on the defensive side. Great to hear from WR Allen Robinson and how he sees the offense as well rounded. I imagine this will be a better year for RB Najee Harris with more of a threat in the passing game this year since Pickett will be in year 2.
San Francisco 49ers:
First the Quarterback news. QB Trey Lance has been working out with Jeff Christensen and apparently is going to look like a different player when he shows up for training camp. Things are going to be interesting this offseason and apparently Shanahan thinks it is cool. In non QB news, Drake Jackson looks impressive and strong after adding 15 pounds of muscle this offseason. The d-line for the Niners could get scarier if he is able to grow quite a bit this offseason and be a regular threat opposite NIck Bosa on the line.
Seattle Seahawks:
Not really much news here but it appears that Smith-Njigba and Metcalf are getting along well after they were seen attending a WNBA game together.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers:
Not much news here but many teammates are in a shock move too many coming out an supporting QB Baker Mayfield and talking about how impressed they have been with him. Maybe that Florida sunshine and the beaches are helping Baker continue what he started in LA with a bit of a career resurgence.
Tennessee Titans:
After a lot of offseason speculation S Kevin Byard agreed to a restructured deal to stay with the team. It is good they are keeping him around. Excited for this team because they had most of the media thinking it was a rebuild and now have potentially two really good options are WR, maybe the best RB in the NFL and always have a solid defense. The Jaguars are going to have company with them trying to fight for the top of the division.
Washington Commanders:
Finally this should be over now. The Josh Harris Group now owns the Commanders and we shouldn’t have to hear more about the sale of the team. It sounds like there is no timetable for a name change but that one is coming eventually. Either way things are good already in terms of morale, ticket sales, and future outlook.
Miscellaneous/Other NFL News:
Featured Team of the Week: New York Giants
Since Daniel Jones is the one who got the money in New York this offseason fans can buy their jerseys with the comfort of knowing that he will be around for the long term. Giants fans get his jersey to support and lets hope next year Barkley is the one getting paid.
Restaurant of the Week: (New York - Redd's Restaurant & Bar)
Got a fun one this week! This restaurant has over 35 TVs that enable you to not miss a minute of other games that may be going on prior to your visit to MetLife stadium. Redd's has options for hosting events, normal casual restaurant goers, and a shuttle to the stadium and back. Safe to say that Redd’s is all about making the most of the gameday experience. The must have here is the Bavarian Soft Pretzel to start things out. Following that I would keep it simple with their Bacon Cheeseburger with fries or chili (if you’re a fan) and then to top things off the dessert here to go with is the Warm Brownie A La Mode. Afterwards depending on if you want to walk it off you are only a little less than a mile away or the shuttle has rides to the stadium because Redd’s allows you to buy parking for gamedays.
