2024.05.16 17:42 MyClericalGnomance Beginners guide to honour mode & unlocking the golden dice.

Introduction

The main purpose of this guide will be to help unlock the golden dice for those of you who feel less confident about tackling honour mode. This is designed to be a path of least resistance, so we won’t be experiencing everything this game has to offer. It’s also worth noting that instead of focusing on min-maxing for damage; we prioritise safe & consistent damage. We don’t need to be respeccing characters often, if at all, and we won’t be relying on strength elixirs. My girlfriend (u/-babyjanehudson) and I put this together as we’ve beaten honour mode a 5 times now without any failed attempts, we were even in the first 800 people to beat it which is kinda cool! Here’s how we did it. First starting with our builds, then a little general advice and finally just a list of some general Do’s & Don’ts. Apologies for the wall of text.

Builds:

Bardlock (party face) - Great old one Warlock 2, college of lore bard 10 - Cha16>Dex16>Con14>Wis12

Life cleric 12 - Wis16>Con16>Dex14>Str
(light cleric does more damage so is technically better for experienced players but a life cleric is there to save your run in case of an emergency, something pretty invaluable to beginners in HM as we can’t assume we are winning every fight in the first 2 turns like we ideally aim to)

Swords Bard Archer (Lockpicker) - 6 Swords Bard, 4 Rogue Thief, 2 Fighter - Dex17>Cha14>Con14>Wis12>Str
Skill priority for this character is Sleight of hand > Stealth > Perception > Persuasion > Intimidation > Deception > Acrobatics

Barbarian - Wild heart Bear Barb 8, Battle Master Fighter 4 - Str16>Con16>Dex14>Wis12

Final note for builds:
As you’ve probably noticed, yes almost everybody in the party takes a dip in fighter for access to action surge & shield proficiency. I learned this habit from Colby like everything else I know. He’s the Bob Ross of DnD builds and well worth your time.

General Advice

The most important factor in honour mode is “meta knowledge”, This means things like: knowing how to enter each combat effectively, making sure everyone is in a good position before starting, knowing exactly which enemies/spells you’ll face during that fight and ensuring you always take the enemy by surprise to gain a free turn. Being properly prepared is better than any build. As for difficulty, Act 1 is always going to be your biggest challenge so use plenty of rests and pick your fights carefully. For this guide I also recommend using your bard to persuade the act 2 bosses into committing suicide.

Do’s:

Don’ts:

2024.05.16 14:47 CherryBoom2x Speculation for the next season.

I've been trying to connect all the Easter eggs from the last season for the season finale, and it looks like we were right about AOA. For season two, I'm guessing that there will be mixed events happening that they will adapt from the comics. The main event will be AOA, and there will be parts from "Days of Future Past."
Storm, Logan, and Morph are missing. I think they have been held captive by Apocalypse and soon become the 4 Horsemen of Apocalypse together with Gambit, as Ororo and Logan did in the comics. I'm unsure about Morph.
I know Logan was the horseman of death too who beheaded Bastion. But I think this time he will became War. His last words after he stab Magneto were. “I’ve been into a lot of WARS bob, and the brave always dies first”
We all saw Bastion fly away, not knowing if he is dead or alive. My theory is that he might have survived and returned to Earth, but Cable and the others have captured him. Gambit will seek revenge as Death and behead Bastion in prison.
2nd Guess in between of the episodes part of the “days of future past” will be adapted. My guess is that Morph, Logan and Storm are somewhere trap. And it's time for Bishop and Forge to find them. With the help of Shadowcat, Colossus, Rachel Summers. We all see the photos of the mutants on Forge’s board. Based on the comics all the costumes they wore are the same as the classic one they currently wore in the last episodes. The missing and slain photos of mutants from Forge’s board are the same as the ones in the “days of future past” style in the comics. If you have paid attention on the photos at Forge’s board the Characters that are Alive are Shadowcat, Havok, Colossus, Emma, Magik, Bobby/Iceman, Dust, Exodus. I believe Bishop and Forge will try to recruit them to locate the missing X-Men.
I also think that The Fantastic Four will make an appearance at some point in the next season. Morph transforming into Mr. Fantastic and might be a hint that the Fantastic Four will help to defeat Rama Tut/Kang. Also, when Rogue fought Bastion, it seemed to surprise Rogue. The place where this happened is the blue area of the moon.

2024.05.16 10:10 frenchbriefs Why does jerma have to retire?

If u think about it....jerma is essentially what u would call a tv or radio personality....or in this case a media personality on twitch. people tune in to listen to them talk and their dialogue and the interesting things they have to say, what they actually do is not of any particular importance, its just gives them some content to talk about or serve as an inspiration while they are doing it..... although it does contribute to the entertainment at the same time.
I'm pretty sure more than anything jerma enjoys being a personality..the greatest proof being some of the skits he put up, the elbertson family dinner for one thing,I'm pretty sure that's his real family, they have to be extremely familiar with one another to behave like that with each other for an hour and no way someone could have scripted a dinner conversation like that and even the best actors in the world could adlibbed such a scene.....u could tell right away something was fake or off,u can tell when some people are pretending to be someone they are not, Like the skit where people auditioned to be jerma.....u can tell it's a fake made up persona instantly...people just aren't creative enough to craft an entire persona and how they would act or think instinctively with great nuance it would take months of writing and carefully crafting and great imagination like Hannibal lecter from Westworld and hundreds of takes to act out hundreds of scenes that make up a one hour long dinner...and even then the movie persona is a part of the actors personality,Anthony Hopkins in Westworld can only act out roles that is like him or suits him. It's insane to think that u can get a bunch of random people to pretend to be ur family members without a script for an hour on such levels of familiarity and insanity yet so normal. It's crazy to think about it but that was probably his real family and brothers...but in some high level meta chess game he's pretending it's not But the most importing was that was one of the most insane comedy gold ever,
Being a personality ..is not just something they have done for nearly all their adult lives and it's part of who they are being entertainers to give it up is mind boggling it would literally be giving up their identities....like Cedric the entertainer or Dave Chappelle or that guy on family feud whose been clinging on to television since forever
There are many personalities that had incredibly long careers, for example David letterman has been hosting late night for nearly 35 years, bob parker the price is right also for 35 years,or Howard Stern also had a 4 decade long career and is still going, even people like Alex Jones has been on air since the 2000s..I used to be obsessed with Howard Stern and jon steward back in the late 2000s and early 2010s and binge watch or listen to years of episodes..the fact is people tune in to watch or listen to these people because they are entertaining personalities.
There is nothing stopping jerma from having a career as long as that, especially when considering he is still in his prime and peak of popularity, its not like he's dragging and beating a dead horse for years like dsp.
I'm sure jerma enjoys being a personality and would easily do it for decades given the appropriate format and also maybe audience.
I mean why would he quit jerma 985?I'm pretty sure part of it could be he's been doing this for so long....and a huge part of it is his audience, If it wasn't for the fact that most of the audience he attracts the last few years are young, and getting younger, but as a man approaching forty, no matter how young and childish jerma acts sometimes which is part of his appeal to the younger kids and connects him to them, there is alienation and disconnect not only generational and cultural difference but young people talk very differently, like very young people, and think and act very differently, while jerma is just an tired old man and old soul inside..as old as asmongold exterior already looks...I don't envy him imagine being an old man already in ur late twenties or thirties and having to deal with a bunch of teens and early mid twenties in chat, not to mention the generational conflict in thinking and styles of logic not saying jerma is the eptiome of logic but he is an example of a thirty something year old male.interacting with such a chat and a certain level of toxicity for years on end can wear u down psychologically and mentally.
If he had the right platform and format of content and maybe a slightly different audience, slightly older and more matured like jon steward tonight show or Howard Stern back in the 2000s maybe jerma could have chugged on for a while more.

Theme Time Radio Hour is a treasure trove. Sidenote: his paintings are fantastic
For those who may not know, Theme Time Radio Hour is Bob’s radio show where he chooses a theme and plays songs that correspond within it. Between songs, he jokes around and shares some historical anecdotes about the artists and songs featured. It’s a really fun time.
As a longtime fan, I’m kicking myself for not diving into it sooner. I even have the deluxe version of Together Through Life which came packaged with an episode on cd.

2024.05.16 09:00 TheOnlyPolly Why did Patrick react this way? "Not Normal" S6E4

Clip of interaction: https://youtu.be/fUmwXcOqlSc
I was watching this episode "Not normal" from Season 6, Episode 4. My gf and I noticed Patrick had a weird surprised reaction when SpongeBob started talking to him. We just thought his reaction and the fact that he appears to be reading a newspaper was strange. He put all his stuff away like he was caught off guard.
If we're just looking too much into it then why would the animators animate this scene this way? It makes almost no sense with the context given. What do you think?

2024.05.16 06:20 Dan6520 Wade needs to be funnier!

So I will cut to the chase. I work for a package delivery company and while I am delivering packages I sometimes listen to Distractible. Also before you ask no I have not crashed the delivery truck while listening to Distractible.
Recently after getting through all of GO! My favorite sports team and Distractible and still being to lazy to redownload all the brain leaks episodes again after getting a new phone I decided to go back and listen to older episodes.
I have realized that Mr.Baldy McBald pants himself has noticeably gotten less funny when hosting episodes in the past year. Sure he has had a few gems every month or so but gets to serious with his topics!
Bob's fridge? Funny because raging Bob. Most episodes with Mark in them? Funny because Markiplier. Most Wade episodes within the past year? UNFUNNY! Wade! You need to get funnier! You need less philosophy, and more angry Wade! Get funny bald man!
(Long story short, this was all in good fun but I think that the king of Baldtown, Ohio, Wade needs to tone it back with the philosophy and tone it up on the amount of light hearted and funny topics)

2024.05.16 06:17 RiC_David Lonely Souls - Season 2, Episode 7 [Monumental Spoilers]

Even having now watched this bombshell episode for the fourth time, since discovering Twin Peaks seven years ago, this is still one of, if not, the most moving episodes of television I've ever seen.
I don't remember my exact reaction upon first learning the identity of BOB and then immediately witnessing such an appropriately disturbing depiction of murder, but knowing it's coming and dreading every second is its own experience.
The scene at the Roadhouse has always been one of my favourite series-defining scenes, but I'd forgotten just how masterfully interwoven it is with the Palmer house scene. I don't have anything new to say, I just had to talk about it a bit, because it's such phenomenal art.
Many TV series have episodes you both look forward to and writhe at the thought of having to go through again, but this has to be the most emotional for me, Maddie's killing feels like it gets more disturbing every go around, because it's so visceral with all the extended toying. I also noted how this is the first time we hear the trademark Palmer scream from her—it being Laura and Sarah's signature—as they teased it a few times, so it felt like her fulfilling her tragic fate.
Besides that, I'd forgotten that this was when we see Katherine's identity reveal too, in another instance of the double feature theme.
That's all, it's a hell of a ride.

2024.05.16 03:30 vinjakola How 3rd episode of Pacific became my favourite and worse at the same time

This weekend I was doing my senior thesis(so no hanging out at friday and saturday),and between work i was rewatching Pacific for the first time .I always prefered BOB than Pacific, but this time Pacific had me.Everything was okay till 3rd episode. As you all know,in the 3rd there is no combat, many would say that it was out of contest,unnecessary...But Stella and Leckie gave me some kind of depression till today lol.
So this New Year's Eve I was in the club with my friends.I met girl from Australia and we started talking, everything was great,we shared instagrams, kiss at 00:00 (my first kiss,at 18xD) and so on... Later she blocked me because she was going to Australia and didnt want to fall in love (maybe she was lying idk).I was a litlle bit fucked up,but not as much when i saw 3rd episode with all the similarities i have with Leckie.I was almost crying when Stella dumped him,it gave me flashback.I started to symphatise with Leckie through whole series,I never tied up with some character like that.6 months flew by and now im thinking about her literally 5 fucking days every minute. When I watched 10th episode I fell in post movie depression, and today im really fucked up cause all those things. So for me 3rd is my favourite and because of it i bonded up more with all charachters and it gave some special feeling about all those guys, that I havent on the first watching. So Leckie became my favourite charachter instead of Dick Winters :)
I know that this isnt some romance ass sub,its about one of the most reallity check war series ever made, but i needed to share this story with somebody.People in my environment dont even know about BOB or Pacific.Sorry for expressing my weakness .Stay strong guys

2024.05.16 03:14 taywildd Worst episode ever??

So I haven’t listened to any MH content in a little over a month. It’s just been all around boring and a fucking mess. I saw the drake and Kendrick episode pop up and as a huge fan of J. Cole I decided to listen. It was ass. Kendall sounded like an idiot and got ALOT wrong. A few examples: -drake jumpstarting dots career, -J.cole being closer to drake -The reason drake is beefing with metro, pusha, weeknd, Rick Ross, ect.
I feel like she was desperate for views and grabbed at what’s trending. It was awful and They should absolutely never ever cover anything rap related again. Kendall, Stick to hating on the the ace and Paul’s families.

Ratings:
The Bad
  • 1/10 - The Worst: Episodes that I despise
  • 2/10 - Awful: Epsiodes I hate
  • 3/10 - Bad: Episodes I think are bad
The Mediocre
  • 4/10 - Not Very Good: Episodes I don't like but have good parts in them
  • 5/10 - Alright: Episodes I think are ok/don't care much for
  • 6/10 - Decent: Episodes I like but aren't crazy about
The Good
  • 7/10 - Good: Episodes I like
  • 8/10 - Great: Episodes I really like
  • 9/10 - Amazing: Episodes I love
  • 10/10 - The Best: Episodes I adore
Episode Ranking (From best to worst):
  1. Sand Castles in the Sand - 8/10: Best episode of the season, and no one is surprised. This episode is creative, and fun and has jokes that land. The opening's not great, but the rest of the episode makes up for it
  2. Not Normal - 8/10: Great concept and the way Normal SpongeBob talks got a laugh out of me
  3. Ditchin - 8/10: The story is really good and the jokes are pretty good
  4. Suction Cup Symphony - 7/10: In a season that loves to beat Squidward down, seeing him succeed is a good break from the norm
  5. Single Cell Aniversary - 7/10: The song is nice and I wish we got to see more of Plankton caring about Karen
  6. Grandpappy the Pirate - 7/10: Nice to have another pirate-based episode (even if this one was staged) and it's pretty well executed
  7. Krabby Road - 7/10: Pretty fun and the rock band motif gives it a nice leg to stand on
  8. SpongeBob Vs the Big One - 7/10: I like the vibes of this one
  9. The Slumber Party - 7/10: I like how Mr Krabs' concern in this episode is more about his house getting wrecked, makes for a nice change of pace
  10. Chum Caverns - 7/10: A bit of a weird story in terms of how it's structured and how things play out, but I liked this one
  11. House Fancy - 6/10: If it weren't for the toenail scene, people would not be hating this one as much
  12. Chum Bucket Supreme - 6/10: The way Plankton gets foiled is anti-climatic, but aside from that this one's decent
  13. Krusty Krushers - 6/10: I like this one but if only I found Sponge and Pat endearingly naive rather than annoyingly childish
  14. Komputer Overload - 6/10: Cool premise, could've been more creative with it
  15. Overbooked - 6/10: I wish Mr Krabs and Patrick didn't feel like they were guilt-tripping SpongeBob, then this episode would've been more enjoyable
  16. The Card - 6/10: The people who say this is one of the show's worst episodes take Patrick's line about his stupidity too seriously
  17. Penny Foolish - 6/10: People seem to hate this one, but I think it's fun
  18. Gone - 6/10: This episode is pretty decent but could they have not chosen a better ending joke?
  19. A Life in a Day - 6/10: I liked this one but it could've done with more laughs
  20. Truth or Square - 5/10: For a tenth-anniversary special, this is really lame
  21. Grooming Gary - 5/10: It's basically 'The Great Snail Race' if Gary was able to stand up for himself
  22. Gullible Pants - 5/10: This one is boring and I have nothing to say about it
  23. No Nose Knows - 5/10: I find the story and Patrick's tone could've used some work, but it had some jokes I thought were decent
  24. Shell Shocked - 5/10: This episode feels like a lot of nothing happening
  25. Spongicus - 5/10: With such a cool theme, why does it feel like they don't do anything interesting with it?
  26. To SquarePants or Not to SquarePants - 5/10: I like the opening, that was pretty funny, but everything else is just average
  27. Porous Pockets - 5/10: A basic concept and basic execution
  28. No Hat for Pat - 5/10: I feel like 'What's Eating Patrick?' did the whole Patrick and Mr Krabs dynamic better
  29. Professor Squidward - 5/10: The most tolerable of the Neighbour trio episodes this season, yet SpongeBob and Patrick feel forced into it
  30. Plankton's Regular - 5/10: This is one of the better twist endings, I just think the execution isn't that great
  31. Pineapple Fever - 4/10: This one feels like 'Club SpongeBob' mixed with 'To Save a Squirrel', and it's not as good as either of them
  32. Toy Store of Doom - 4/10: I'm saying this a lot in this ranking, but the concept's good, execution is not
  33. Patty Caper - 4/10: When you're doing a mystery plot, you actually need to solve the mystery instead of doing a dumb twist
  34. Slide Whistle Stooges - 4/10: Higher than most people would rank it, but I found this one tolerable at the least
  35. Sun Bleached - 4/10: I don't like the message this one sends, and no the ending line doesn't make up for it
  36. Dear Vikings - 4/10: Cool idea, but the execution is really mundane and the story goes nowhere
  37. Shuffle-Boarding - 4/10: This feels like 'Hall Monitor' if Sponge and Pat felt more stupid rather than simply oblivious
  38. Pet or Pests - 4/10: This episode meanders too much and nothing of interest actually happens
  39. The Krusty Chronicle - 3/10: Probably the most uncaring Mr Krabs has gotten
  40. Nautical Novice - 3/10: The ending twist is the biggest cop-out this series has ever produced
  41. The Splinter - 3/10: I don't mind the premise but Patrick's scene and the constant gross-out makes this episode a chore
  42. Giant Squidward - 3/10: It's sad seeing Sponge and Pat become less innocently oblivious and more obnoxiously idiotic
  43. Squid's Visit - 3/10: If you wanted to do this type of story, maybe don't use your main character as the antagonist
  44. The Clash of Triton - 3/10: Despite the title and the fact it's a special episode promising a good time, the final product is a bore
  45. Choir Boys - 2/10: The thing about the Squidward episodes this season is that the worst ones always share the same problems
  46. Boating Buddies - 2/10: The shrink-ray bit was good, but that's the only redeeming element about this one
  47. Cephalopod Lodge - 1/10: Everyone has their own choice for the worst episode of the show. This one's mine. The story sucks, SpongeBob and Patrick are annoying instead of endearing, and the ending is infuriating instead of funny. I like the eel being a live-action sock, but that hardly saves it.
Season Overall - 5/10: I don't like Season 6. Not because it has the worst episodes of the show thus far, but because the majority of episodes I don't care for and the ones I like not really reaching the peak as the best of the last five seasons. This is the lowest point of the show, but let's see if Season 7 is any better...

2024.05.15 23:50 CutesyKitty Episode Names?

Im trying to find two episodes but I forgot the names. 1st: I dont think it came out too long ago. Basically it was about choosing superpowers or building a superhero/supervillain. Its not the one bob hosted about the gerbil and bee villains. Pretty sure mark was host but I could be wrong.
2nd: Towards the endish of the episode Mark is talking about sacrificing himself to save the world or something like that. He accidentally says he wants the people to torture him or maybe it was aliens? It was hilarious but i cant remember anything else about the episode.
Does anyone know these episode names?

2024.05.15 23:28 JSteveIsMe Everyone’s best episode

Mark’s recent Animal Noises episode made me laugh more than I have in a long time. I was crying laughing at the boys listening to and recreating various noises. It was so funny, my stomach hurt from laughing. But this got me thinking. Which is each of the boys’ funniest/best episodes they hosted? Doesn’t necessarily have to be because of them specifically but what would you say is your favorite for each of them?
I think it’s safe to say Wade’s best hosted is Bob’s Fridge. It was because of Bob’s story but Wade still hosted. If that seems unfair, I’d argue the Fast Food Tier List is a tremendous episode
Bob’s best episode is the harder one for me. I’d wanna say the Worst Piece of Shit episode is up there but I’d also say The Shoe Game and The Distractible Gameshow are both top tier episodes as well
As I said, Animal Noises may be my new favorite Mark hosted episode but both the Hills to Die On based episodes are amazing too
So I ask you dear listeners. What is your favorite episode hosted by each of the boys?
