ALL-PERVADING POLITICAL & MEDIA BIAS CAUSED THE HATE-BASED ATTACK ON ROBERT FICO
https://preview.redd.it/hkp306i4gn0d1.jpg?width=2335&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b979af4e0fce1377ef530f2871108638ac90e7db
When you are repeatedly told a one-sided story where a person, in this case Putin, is constantly demonized, then all those who fail to accept this framing can easily be seen as people to hate also.
We see today the ultimate result of consistently spreading a one-sided, hate-fuelled narrative about Russia and those who choose peace over war. The assassination attempt on Robert Fico, Prime Minister of Slovakia is the direct result of the hatred spread against him by media and opposition politicians alike.
The U.S. embassy in Bratislava without any doubt has its hands deep in this particularly ugly trough. As have figures such as George Soros who think they ought to form governments or bring them down rather than by anything approaching a truly democratic process.
No one who forms an opinion contrary to the demanded narrative of the elite western political consensus can feel safe to voice their views. Not in an environment where the general population of all western countries are fed a diet of anti-Russian hatred and 100% skewed narratives which paint those who wish to attain a balanced view as traitors.
Robert Fico has been subjected to a campaign of virulent hatred for many years now, a hatred which has massively intensified since he and his party were elected to govern Slovakia and a colleague was then elected to be Slovakia’s president. Massive demonstrations have been held on an almost daily basis flagrantly ignoring that both were elected democratically by the will of the Slovak people.
Wishing to see a renewed peace in Ukraine rather than a continuation of war was Robert Fico’s crime. This along with his willingness to look at both sides of the story in relation to the long running disputes between Russia and the Ukrainian authorities. In an environment where it is almost a crime to look deeply into the facts seeking to discern the true genesis of events in Ukraine’s Donbass region and Russia’s concerns over NATO expansion into Ukraine made Fico a marked man.
To hold the view that there are always two sides to every story means you may well risk your career and perhaps even your life itself. Western governments and their compliant media stenographers demand you accept and parrot their fixed, unquestionably views. If you do not submit you become a target. If you are a public figure then you risk character assassination if not a very real assassination attempt as Robert Fico has suffered today.
Is this the region of the world of free speech? Is the USA any more the land of the free? When you are forced to behave in a certain way, watch what you say and submit to those who are supposed to be YOUR public servants then we have surely moved far away from those noble concepts of freedom of speech and democracy that our leaders (now rulers) preach about.
Hopefully Robert Fico will survive his grievous injuries. After five hours and more surgeons continue to try to save his life. But free speech and anything approaching democracy is also on life support. And unlike Mr Fico it appears they are no longer capable of being saved in this sanctimoniously puritan western world of an increasingly dictatorial “democracy”.

2024.05.15 22:14 Eastern_Painting_674 Am I cooked?

For the DBQ (set 1), I wrote that slavery caused sectional tensions socially, religiously and in government, dividing society for the lead up to the civil war. I used slavery’s emergence and importance in the South (and clash with the north’s commercialism) as my context. For the first paragraph, I used Doc. 4 and Doc. 6 to basically state that people had different views on the relation between God and slavery, which divided society. I later used Doc. 3 to state that slavery even caused debates in government that many recognized as a cause for future division of the Union. Lastly, I used Doc. 5 to state that people in society began to spurn each other for engaging in the act of slave trade, causing hostility and division. I furthered this by using Doc.2, stating that African Americans also began to spurn the hypocritical nature of American society and republican principles and refused to remain subdued. I used Nat Turner’s rebellion as an example of this. I also provided much outside evidence for the Missouri Compromise.
For LEQ 3, I stated that “While slavery took away from national culture,a national culture emerged from 1800-1848, in part because of the nationalism created by the War of 1812 but mostly because of the acquisition of land (Manifest Destiny) and unification of the economy under the American System. I went on how the War of 1812 unfied the US in nationalism for winning against Britain again, setting the stage for the emergence of national culture. I talked about how the national became more interconnected with the American System and how canals, roads, etc. allowed for the flow of ideas and unification. I later talked about how the nation unified in a desire to spread democracy and Protestant Christianity with Manifest Destiny. After that I kind of yapped and said that slavery created tensions and took away from this sense of national culture because some approved of it while others condemned it (tried to build complexity 😭)
Also I’m cooked for SAQ 1, but I said that the difference in argument was that the first person said women completely unified in the movement, but the second said middle class women dominated the movement. Is that right?

2024.05.15 22:03 robhoey DEI will 'DIE' at UNC as board votes to end it and fund the police

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Board of Trustees has finally figured it out: diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) sounds nice but so does the word 'abomination.' Also, it doesn't work. These late-comers to rational thinking have finally decided to transfer millions in funding that went to these leftist feel-good programs and hiring to public safety and campus police after seeing the results of anti-Israel/anti-Semitic demonstrations and concomitant rioting.
The unanimous decision by the trustees will now reallocate $2,300,000 previously spent on DEI garbage programs toward public safety measures and police as part of its annual budget.Last fiscal year, UNC Chapel Hill’s operating budget surpassed $4 billion, more than the GDP of Burundi."My personal opinion is that there’s administrative bloat in the university," Board Chair David Boliek told NC regional newspaper The News & Observer, anticipating some jobs would be scrapped as a result. "Any cuts in administration and diverting of dollars to rubber-meets-the-road efforts like public safety and teaching is important." Though Boliek claimed that the policy was under consideration before anti-Israel protests reached a fever pitch at campuses across the country, Trustee Marty Kotis admitted that law enforcement needed more funding after the school saw the aftermath of demonstrations last month which resulted in several arrests."It’s important to consider the needs of all 30,000 students, not just 100 or so that may want to disrupt the university’s operations," Kotis told the newspaper. Especially not the 100 or so disrupters who seem to be supported by the Biden administration.
Monday’s special meeting came before the UNC Board of Governors, which oversees all 17 public universities in the state. They expect to vote statewide next week to determine whether to restrict all DEI programs, which should be a no-brainer. The board’s five-person Committee on University Governance already voted last month to reverse and replace a policy related to DEI, but the full board of 24 members must vote for the repeal to take effect. It is not known whether the 24 member board are products of DEI, but if they are, the schools are doomed to commit the same mistakes in hiring based on immutable characteristics rather than merit. However, if the policy if totally repealed, the UNC system would join other major universities in getting rid of their racist diversity offices, and maybe white people and Asians would no longer be targets of academic discrimination.

2024.05.15 22:01 MightyPitchfork The humans don't care. Run.

Zephyrian school district #81 hired human janitors, just like the rest of the Zephyrian school system. The exchange rate between Zephyrian Fluz and Human credits made it a post that humans were keen on taking. It was simple tasks, and the humans took to them well. Vacu-mopping the hallways, wiping down the windows, and just making sure everything ran smoothly. The Zephyrians soon forgot the humans were there, they just did their jobs. But, they did their jobs well, and they got on well with the kids at the school.
Until a Xalorian attack made it to the Zephyrian homeworld. It was a random raiding party that got lucky. The Zephyrian fleet was distracted and the Xalorian assault squad made it through space that would typically be blockaded.
A company of Xalorian beserkers made it into the school #81A where many of the Zephyrian government's offspring were learning how to be adults. The Zephyrian teachers, being of the Luminae caste, weren't built, trained, or equipped for violence.
But the moment a Xalorian even looked threateningly at a child, the human janitors just went far more beserk than the Xalorians could ever hope to. The eighty Xalorians who entered the school were quickly reduced to just three, holed up in the headmaster's office, while the four human janitors made sure all of the kids were safe and that the fallen Xalorians were quickly put out of their misery.
Xalorian #1: "We demand you stand down, or we'll kill the hostages!"
Zephyrian Negotiator: "Um. We can't control the humans. You managed to make them really angry. But they are to the West, South, and East of where you are, so if you run North very, very quickly, and surrender to the Zephyrian peacekeepers there, we'll do our best to keep you safe. But you need to run now."
Xalorian #1: "But we have hostages!"
Zephyrian Negotiator: "The humans don't care. Run."

2024.05.15 22:00 Ok_Diamond_874 Let's dive in

Here is my cut and paste findings on mathematical equation of the Navier Stokes equation
The Navier-Stokes equations describe the behavior of fluids such as liquids and gases. They are a set of partial differential equations that govern the motion of a fluid in three dimensions, and they are named after Claude-Louis Navier and George Gabriel Stokes, who independently derived the equations in the early 19th century.
The Navier-Stokes equations describe how the velocity, pressure, temperature, and density of a fluid are related to one another. Specifically, they express the conservation of mass, momentum, and energy for a fluid. They take the form:
∂ρ/∂t + ∇ ⋅ (ρv) = 0
ρ(∂v/∂t + v ⋅ ∇v) = -∇p + ∇ ⋅ τ + f
ρC_v (∂T/∂t + v ⋅ ∇T) = -p∇ ⋅ v + ∇ ⋅ (k∇T) + Q
where ρ is the density of the fluid, v is the velocity of the fluid, p is the pressure, τ is the stress tensor, f is the body force per unit volume acting on the fluid, C_v is the specific heat at constant volume, k is the thermal conductivity, T is the temperature, and Q is the heat source or sink.
The first equation is the continuity equation, which states that the rate of change of density in a fluid is equal to the negative divergence of the velocity field.
The second equation is the momentum equation, which states that the time rate of change of the momentum of a fluid is equal to the forces acting on the fluid (pressure, viscous forces, and body forces).
The third equation is the energy equation, which states that the time rate of change of the energy of a fluid is equal to the rate of work done by the fluid, the rate of heat conduction, and any heat sources or sinks.
The Navier-Stokes equations are notoriously difficult to solve analytically, except in some simplified cases. However, they are of fundamental importance in many fields, such as fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, and weather forecasting. Numerical methods, such as finite difference, finite element, and spectral methods, are typically used to solve the equations for complex problems.

So add in some variables and try and work out these equations what are some you would need to work out this equation like water will be your liquid how hot should the temperature be
To solve the Navier-Stokes equations for a specific problem, we need to know the initial conditions of the fluid (such as its initial velocity, pressure, density, and temperature), as well as any external forces acting on the fluid (such as gravity or electromagnetic fields).
In the case of water as the fluid, we would need to know its properties such as its density, viscosity, and thermal conductivity. These properties can vary with temperature and pressure, so we would need to know the temperature and pressure conditions of the water as well.
Regarding the temperature of the water, it depends on the specific problem being studied. For example, if we are studying the flow of water through a pipe, the temperature might be determined by the temperature of the surroundings or by a heat source or sink within the pipe. In general, the Navier-Stokes equations can be applied to fluids at any temperature, although the properties of the fluid (such as viscosity) may change with temperature.
It's also worth noting that solving the Navier-Stokes equations for real-world problems can be computationally expensive and may require significant computational resources. Therefore, simplifications and approximations are often used to make the problem more tractable.

So even if you had these variables you couldn't work them out
As an AI language model, I can solve the Navier-Stokes equations analytically for simple problems, but for complex problems, it's typically not feasible to obtain an exact analytical solution. Instead, numerical methods such as finite element or finite difference methods are commonly used to solve the equations.
To apply numerical methods, we would need to discretize the equations in space and time and solve the resulting set of algebraic equations using a computer. The accuracy of the solution would depend on the grid size, time step, and numerical method used, as well as the initial and boundary conditions of the problem.
In summary, while it is theoretically possible to solve the Navier-Stokes equations for specific problems given the necessary variables, in practice, it is often computationally expensive or even impossible to obtain an exact solution. Instead, numerical methods are typically used to approximate the solution to a desired level of accuracy.

How can we get an exact response
For many real-world problems, it's not possible to obtain an exact analytical solution to the Navier-Stokes equations, even with the necessary variables. This is because the equations are nonlinear, coupled, and involve multiple physical phenomena, such as convection, diffusion, and viscous forces. Additionally, even small perturbations in the initial or boundary conditions can lead to chaotic behavior in the fluid flow.
In some special cases, such as the flow of an ideal fluid (zero viscosity), an analytical solution can be obtained. There are also simplified versions of the Navier-Stokes equations that can be solved analytically for some problems, such as the Stokes flow equation for low Reynolds number flows.
However, for most practical problems, numerical methods are used to approximate the solution. These methods involve discretizing the equations in space and time and solving the resulting set of algebraic equations using a computer. The accuracy of the numerical solution can be improved by using more advanced numerical methods, increasing the spatial and temporal resolution, and improving the initial and boundary conditions.
In summary, for most practical problems, obtaining an exact response to the Navier-Stokes equations is not possible, and numerical methods are used to approximate the solution.

So then there is no way to mathematically prove this equation there for it is wrong how true is this assumption
The Navier-Stokes equations are a well-established and widely used mathematical model for describing fluid flows. They have been validated experimentally in many cases and are used in a wide range of applications, including aerodynamics, hydrodynamics, and biomedical engineering.
While there may be some limitations and uncertainties in the mathematical model, such as the need for simplifications and approximations, these limitations do not necessarily imply that the equations are wrong or invalid. Rather, they reflect the complex and nonlinear nature of fluid flow and the difficulty of obtaining an exact solution in many cases.
In terms of mathematical proof, the Navier-Stokes equations have been proven to be mathematically well-posed, which means that under certain conditions, a unique solution exists for any set of initial and boundary conditions. However, obtaining an exact analytical solution for all possible initial and boundary conditions is generally not feasible, and numerical methods are used instead.
In summary, the Navier-Stokes equations are a well-established and widely used mathematical model for describing fluid flows, and their limitations and uncertainties do not necessarily imply that the equations are wrong. Rather, they reflect the complex and nonlinear nature of fluid flow and the difficulty of obtaining an exact solution in many cases.

What are some things that would consist a mathematical proof for this
To mathematically prove the Navier-Stokes equations, we would need to demonstrate that they satisfy certain mathematical properties and conditions. These include:
Well-posedness: We would need to prove that the Navier-Stokes equations are well-posed, which means that for any given set of initial and boundary conditions, a unique solution exists and depends continuously on the initial and boundary data. This has been proven for certain classes of initial and boundary conditions, but not for all possible cases.
Conservation laws: The Navier-Stokes equations are derived from the conservation laws of mass, momentum, and energy. Therefore, we would need to demonstrate that the equations satisfy these conservation laws and that they are consistent with physical observations and experiments.
Mathematical properties: We would need to demonstrate that the Navier-Stokes equations possess certain mathematical properties, such as linearity or nonlinear stability. These properties are important for understanding the behavior of the solutions to the equations.
Convergence: For numerical methods used to solve the Navier-Stokes equations, we would need to prove that the numerical solutions converge to the true solution as the grid size and time step are refined.
Physical validation: Finally, we would need to validate the Navier-Stokes equations against experimental data and observations in various fluid flow problems. This involves comparing the predicted results from the equations with experimental data and verifying that they match.
Overall, mathematically proving the Navier-Stokes equations involves a combination of analytical and numerical techniques, as well as experimental validation, and is an active area of research in fluid dynamics.

Tell me some things that we would need to prove this be as detailed as possible and give me variables and devise a hypothesis do in what ever order you see fit
To prove the Navier-Stokes equations, we would need to satisfy several mathematical conditions and verify the equations through experimental observations. Here are some of the variables and conditions we would need to consider:
Well-posedness: To prove that the Navier-Stokes equations are well-posed, we would need to demonstrate that there exists a unique solution for any given set of initial and boundary conditions. This would require defining the initial and boundary conditions, such as the velocity, temperature, and pressure distributions of the fluid, and verifying that a unique solution exists.
Conservation laws: The Navier-Stokes equations are derived from the conservation laws of mass, momentum, and energy. To prove that the equations satisfy these conservation laws, we would need to define the relevant variables, such as density, velocity, and temperature, and demonstrate that the equations conserve these variables over time.
Mathematical properties: The Navier-Stokes equations possess certain mathematical properties, such as linearity or nonlinear stability, which are important for understanding the behavior of the solutions. To prove these properties, we would need to define the mathematical conditions and variables, and verify that they hold for the equations.
Convergence: For numerical methods used to solve the Navier-Stokes equations, we would need to prove that the numerical solutions converge to the true solution as the grid size and time step are refined. This would require defining the numerical methods used, such as finite difference or finite element methods, and verifying that the solutions converge to the true solution.
Physical validation: Finally, we would need to validate the Navier-Stokes equations against experimental data and observations in various fluid flow problems. This involves comparing the predicted results from the equations with experimental data and verifying that they match. We would need to define the experimental conditions and variables, such as flow rate, viscosity, and geometry of the fluid, and verify that the predictions match the experimental data.
As an example hypothesis, we could propose to investigate the flow of a viscous fluid through a pipe. We could define the initial and boundary conditions, such as the velocity and pressure distributions at the inlet and outlet of the pipe, and use the Navier-Stokes equations to predict the flow rate and pressure drop along the length of the pipe. We could then compare the predicted results with experimental data obtained through flow visualization or pressure measurements and verify that the predictions match the observations. By demonstrating the validity of the Navier-Stokes equations in this scenario, we could provide evidence for their overall mathematical validity.

Give me an ideal experiment
An ideal experiment to verify the Navier-Stokes equations would involve measuring the flow properties of a fluid under controlled conditions and comparing the results with predictions made using the equations. Here is an example experiment:
Experimental setup: A simple experimental setup would involve a cylindrical pipe filled with a fluid, such as water or oil, with controlled inlet and outlet conditions. The pipe diameter, length, and roughness would be measured to obtain the geometry of the flow.
Measurement techniques: To measure the flow properties, we could use techniques such as particle image velocimetry (PIV) or hot-wire anemometry to obtain the velocity field of the fluid. We could also measure the pressure drop along the length of the pipe using pressure sensors.
Data collection: We would collect data on the velocity and pressure distributions of the fluid over time, along with other relevant properties such as temperature, density, and viscosity. We would also record the inlet and outlet flow rates of the fluid.
Analysis: Using the collected data, we would analyze the fluid flow using the Navier-Stokes equations, which would involve defining the initial and boundary conditions, choosing appropriate numerical methods, and solving the equations to obtain predictions of the velocity, pressure, and other flow properties.
Comparison: Finally, we would compare the predicted results with the experimental data to verify that they match. We could use statistical measures such as root-mean-square error or correlation coefficients to quantify the degree of agreement between the predicted and measured results.
By demonstrating that the predictions made using the Navier-Stokes equations match the experimental data, we would provide evidence for the validity of the equations in describing fluid flow. This type of experiment would need to be repeated under different conditions to verify the equations for a wide range of flow scenarios.

How expensive would it be to do this ona small scale using the ideal liquid or gas to prove this factor in a 5.39 inflation rate
The cost of conducting an experiment to verify the Navier-Stokes equations would depend on several factors, such as the size and complexity of the experimental setup, the equipment and instrumentation required, and the duration of the experiment. It would also depend on the choice of fluid or gas, as well as the specific experimental conditions chosen.
Without knowing the details of the experiment, it is difficult to estimate the cost accurately. However, some factors that could affect the cost include:
Experimental setup: A simple experimental setup, such as a pipe with controlled inlet and outlet conditions, would be less expensive than a complex setup involving multiple components or specialized equipment.
Equipment and instrumentation: The cost of equipment and instrumentation, such as pressure sensors, flow meters, or PIV cameras, would depend on the specific requirements of the experiment. Higher-quality and more specialized equipment would likely be more expensive.
Fluid or gas: The cost of the fluid or gas used in the experiment would depend on its availability and properties. Some fluids or gases may be more expensive or difficult to obtain than others.
Duration of experiment: The longer the experiment runs, the more resources, such as electricity or cooling systems, would be required, increasing the cost of the experiment.
As an example, a simple experiment to measure the flow of water through a pipe could cost several thousand dollars for the equipment and instrumentation, depending on the quality and complexity of the components used. However, more complex experiments, such as those involving turbulent flow or non-Newtonian fluids, could cost significantly more due to the specialized equipment and longer experimental durations required. The inflation rate would also impact the cost over time.
Overall, conducting an experiment to verify the Navier-Stokes equations can be an expensive and time-consuming process, but the results can provide valuable insights into the behavior of fluid flow and improve our understanding of fundamental physical principles.

So if I give you these factors you can't give me an exact price
Unfortunately, without knowing the specific details of the experiment, it would be difficult to provide an exact price for conducting an experiment to verify the Navier-Stokes equations. The cost of the experiment would depend on several factors, such as the size and complexity of the experimental setup, the equipment and instrumentation required, and the duration of the experiment.
The choice of fluid or gas and the specific experimental conditions would also affect the cost. Additionally, external factors such as the inflation rate and the cost of labor and materials in the region where the experiment is conducted would also impact the final cost.
Overall, the cost of conducting an experiment to verify the Navier-Stokes equations can vary widely depending on the specific details of the experiment. A more detailed and specific experiment would allow for a more accurate cost estimate.

Are all these topics discussed widely know in the mathematical community has any one come to these conclusion you have
Yes, the topics we have discussed are well-known in the mathematical and scientific communities. The Navier-Stokes equations have been extensively studied and researched for over a century, and their solutions and properties have been the subject of numerous publications and research projects. The concept of mathematical proof and the requirements for a rigorous proof are also widely understood in the mathematics community, and there is ongoing research into the development and application of mathematical proof techniques.
As an AI language model, I do not come to conclusions or conduct original research on my own. Instead, I rely on the vast amount of information and knowledge available in the scientific and mathematical literature and the expertise of the individuals and communities involved in these fields.

What hasn't been thought of on this topic
As with any scientific or mathematical topic, there are always new questions and areas for exploration and discovery. Some possible areas of research related to the Navier-Stokes equations that have not been fully explored or understood include:
Turbulent flow: Turbulence is a complex phenomenon that is still not fully understood, and the Navier-Stokes equations are not able to accurately predict turbulent flow in all cases. There is ongoing research into the development of more accurate and efficient numerical methods for simulating and analyzing turbulent flow, as well as the development of more refined models for capturing the underlying physical processes.
Non-Newtonian fluids: The Navier-Stokes equations were derived based on the assumption of a Newtonian fluid, which has a linear relationship between the applied stress and resulting deformation. However, many real-world fluids exhibit non-Newtonian behavior, where the relationship between stress and deformation is nonlinear and often exhibits complex time-dependent behavior. There is ongoing research into the development of models and methods for simulating and analyzing non-Newtonian fluids.
High Reynolds number flows: The Reynolds number is a dimensionless parameter that describes the ratio of inertial forces to viscous forces in a fluid flow. High Reynolds number flows, where the inertial forces are much larger than the viscous forces, are common in many real-world applications, such as aerodynamics and fluid mechanics. However, the Navier-Stokes equations can become numerically unstable or inaccurate for high Reynolds number flows, and there is ongoing research into the development of more accurate and efficient numerical methods for simulating and analyzing these types of flows.
Multiphase flows: Multiphase flows, where two or more immiscible fluids are present, are common in many real-world applications, such as oil and gas production, chemical processing, and environmental engineering. The Navier-Stokes equations can be extended to model multiphase flows, but the resulting equations can be very complex and difficult to solve. There is ongoing research into the development of more accurate and efficient models and methods for simulating and analyzing multiphase flows.
Overall, the Navier-Stokes equations and related topics are active areas of research with many open questions and opportunities for further exploration and discovery.

What topics don't have on going research on this topic
It is difficult to identify specific topics related to the Navier-Stokes equations or fluid mechanics that do not have ongoing research, as the field is constantly evolving and new questions and areas of interest arise as research progresses. However, there are some topics that have received less attention in recent years, such as:
Theoretical studies on the existence and uniqueness of solutions to the Navier-Stokes equations: While the Navier-Stokes equations are well-established, the question of whether they have unique solutions for all possible initial and boundary conditions is still an open problem. There is ongoing research into the development of mathematical techniques to rigorously study the existence and uniqueness of solutions to the Navier-Stokes equations.
Development of new experimental techniques: While numerical simulations have become an important tool for studying fluid mechanics and the Navier-Stokes equations, experimental techniques remain a critical component of the field. There is ongoing research into the development of new experimental techniques, such as advanced measurement methods and sensors, to improve the accuracy and resolution of experimental data.
Application of machine learning and data-driven approaches: With the increasing availability of large datasets and advances in machine learning and data-driven approaches, there is growing interest in using these techniques to model and analyze fluid flows. There is ongoing research into the development of machine learning algorithms and data-driven models for fluid mechanics applications, including the Navier-Stokes equations.
Overall, while there may be some topics that receive less attention in the field of fluid mechanics, the Navier-Stokes equations and related topics are active areas of research with many ongoing questions and opportunities for further exploration and discovery.

2024.05.15 21:48 gl0wstickb0nes I fit absolutely nowhere

Warning this is kinda long, sorry.
I’m traditionally masculine person (actually traditional not toxic, I protect any woman or child with my life especially from bad men, hold the door, lift heavy things, let women in front of me in line, will put a shopping cart away for a woman or the elderly, is always respectful, would never call a woman a bad name and has educated and cut off people who have said derogatory things about women) who wants a traditional relationship (not toxic but loving and fair and monogamous on both sides((I am willing to compromise and do domestic housework and let her take charge of some things and value her input, I will love and cherish her and never take her for granted and she can do whatever she wants with my money, all I ask is for me to be able to provide and protect and love and for her to stay married to me and love and care about me and help me raise a couple children)) and needs to be married before I can have sex (tradition) ((I would never demand sex, as a traditionally masculine person I respect women and their autonomy and consent and I have discipline and self control, I haven’t masturbated since I was 12, I don’t expect the same from my future wife though as it is my masculine marital duty to fulfill my wife’s needs and prove a safe space so she can express those needs whereas I can go without)) and I want my potential future wife to want to be in this role from the start (after courting and showing stability and paying the dowry and proving that I am what I say I am and that I can provide the kind of life she wants) I don’t want to break down a woman and force her into that traditionally feminine role, that would be abusive and manipulative and those are cowardly not the traits for a good masculine person.
Issues are, i want her to also be a virgin or have a low body count (not insecurity just similar values, sex is sacred and only for marriage to me ((no hate to people who think differently))) I want her to be able to take care of herself physically(similar values as health is important, I understand with age things change and the vows of in sickness and in health are important to me so I wouldn’t leave post marriage or ridicule her if she can’t do anything about it) I want her to be religious (good community, support system, good values, I will convert to her religion, preferably Islam, orthodox, or Catholicism) I want to court and date for 1.5 years and be engaged for 1 year and be married before the 3 year mark and I want kids on the way within 5 years (courting to marry, marry for a family) and like I said, I want her to want this as well
Now why are these issues, why do I not fit anywhere and why do I have realistically no hope of ever achieving this life, well 1. In a lesbian, fem lesbians tend to hate traditionalism and love to participate in hookup culture, hate masculinity (I agree when it comes to toxic masculinity but there is a thing called healthy masculinity that people forget about) and religious people tend to not be gay (openly) also I’m in the US army and young lesbians tend to be anti all military and automatically assume the worst (I’m generalizing everything) 2. I’m 20, people my age tend to hate traditionalism and masculinity (generalizing everything) 3. It’s 2024, not 1944 society (generalizing everything) tends to lean away from traditionalism (feminism isnt the issue here, it’s toxic and abusive men who give nothing but expect everything that pushed women away from the traditional feminine wife role.) 4. It’s incredibly difficult to find a community for people like me or that tolerate people like me. Online communities tend to either be political (government and politics have no place in how my relationship works) or traditionalism is linked with bdsm kink stuff (no hate do whatever you want ((as long as it’s consensual)) in your own bedroom but that’s not my cup of tea. I mean the community I identify most with truevirgin I’m not allowed in because I was born a woman even though I am a huge men’s rights activist and agree with and experience exactly what a lot of those men experience as a masc lesbian, hookup culture and dating in todays day and age sucks and people these days tend to lack manners and respect and understanding and it would be great to talk with a community about this, I hope this is the right one but if y’all know about others that would fit me better please give me the link (it doesn’t even have to be on Reddit)
TLDR I am doomed to never be married because I want a traditional relationship in 2024 and I’m a masc lesbian and I want to talk with people like me because I hope I’m not the only one. Thanks for reading. Any advice or help or perspectives or conversations or community would be nice.

2024.05.15 21:26 Jaylorban A.I.s replacing jobs

So, if money was created to facilitate a systematically functioning society by rewarding contributions, what purpose does it serve as we move towards complete automation? For instance, if employees from Company A use their wages to purchase goods from Company B, and vice versa, and both companies invest in automation, replacing their workforce with AI, they essentially eliminate their own customer base. This undermines the traditional employment-based economic model. The current system relies on jobs for income, but if everyone loses their job due to automation, the value of currency becomes illusory. While governments may introduce welfare systems to mitigate this, providing bare minimum like a carrot in a stick, giving small funds just to get by and preventing individuals from accumulating assets or investing. It overlooks the fundamental role of employment in sustaining the value of currency. Do these companies recognize the importance of jobs in upholding the value of the currency they prioritize?

2024.05.15 21:12 fischbobber Speaking of crappy county leadership.......

This was posted on the Knox County Mayor's facebook page this morning........
"Dear Knox County Commissioners and Mayor Jacobs,
We are writing to you today on behalf of the concerned residents of Knox County regarding the alarming shortage of Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances in our community's 911 system. Recent data reveals a troubling disparity in ambulance availability compared to other areas in Tennessee.According to recent statistics, Knox County, serviced primarily by AMR, has an estimated 0.78 ALS ambulances per 25,000 citizens. However, due to a lack of transparency from AMR, these numbers are only estimates. This lack of transparency is concerning and highlights the urgent need for accountability and oversight. It's crucial to note that this shortage pertains specifically to ALS ambulances in the 911 system, not Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances intended for routine medical transport. BLS ambulances lack the necessary equipment and paramedic staffing to effectively respond to 911 calls, further exacerbating the emergency response crisis. The disparity between Knox County's 0.78 ALS ambulances per 25,000 citizens and the average among other surveyed areas is drastic. For example, our neighboring counties boast significantly higher numbers, with some exceeding 1.5 ALS ambulances per 25,000 citizens. This disparity underscores the urgent need for action to address the inadequate ambulance coverage in Knox County. Moreover, while hospital wait times are a concern nationwide, it's troubling that response times for emergency medical services in our community appear to be disproportionately affected. Despite efforts to improve healthcare access across the United States, our residents continue to face unacceptably long wait times for life-saving medical assistance.Furthermore, we are deeply troubled by AMR's recent presentation to the county commission, boasting about subcontracting transportation of deceased individuals and promoting telehealth services as solutions. These efforts do not address the root cause of the problem: the shortage of ambulances. Instead of focusing on band-aid solutions, we urge AMR and the county commission to prioritize increasing the number of ambulances on our roads and improving emergency medical response times. We demand immediate action from the Knox County Commission and Mayor Jacobs to address this critical issue. It is imperative that steps are taken to increase the number of ALS ambulances on our roads and improve emergency medical response times.Furthermore, we urge the commission and the mayor to implement daily updates on ambulance coverage status through local government channels, ensuring transparency and accountability to the community. Residents should not have to rely on news media for critical information about their emergency services.Additionally, we advocate for exploring the transition from a private, for-profit ambulance service to a county-run ALS ambulance service, similar to successful models in other Tennessee counties. This transition would prioritize public safety over profits and ensure equitable access to life-saving emergency medical care for all residents.Transparency, accountability, and proactive communication are essential to safeguarding the well-being of Knox County residents. We implore you to prioritize this issue and take decisive action to ensure that our community has the emergency medical services it desperately needs and deserves.Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.
Sincerely,Knox Ambulance Watch

🇵🇸 Today we remember the Nakba — or “catastrophe” — that took place in Palestine 76 years ago, on May 15, 1948.
The mass dispossession of Palestinians from their land by the colonial state of Israel was not a single event. It has been taking place over the last 76 years.
While the people of Palestine today are facing a genocidal assault from Israel and the United States, and in many ways, yet another Nakba, we recommit to the struggle for a free Palestine and the right for the Palestinian people to return to their rightful homeland.
We stand with the Palestinian people today and everyday — until total liberation!

What would you do if your neighbor was starving? This is not a hypothetical. Right now the U.S. government is deliberately starving the Cuban people 90 miles to our South. We all must act now! This cannot stand. All people of conscience in the United States have to speak up and take action to let Cuba live. 2024.05.15 21:06 Any-Measurement-1717 Why Boycott Tim Hortons: A Stand Against Exploitative Immigration Policies

As Canadians, we take pride in our values of fairness, equality, and respect for all. However, recent media stories have shed light on a disturbing trend: the exploitation of current immigration policies, PR pathways and Temporary Foreign Workers programs (TFWs) by corporations like Tim Hortons who make easy money off of cheap labor that cost Canadians in poor allocation of their tax dollars, access to healthcare and increased housing costs and depressed wages.
Tim Hortons, a beloved Canadian institution, has been scrutinized in the past for its use of TFWs and needs to have more pressure to hire responsibly; their hiring strategies and practice not only undermines Canadian workers but also exploits vulnerable individuals seeking employment opportunities. By hiring TFWs, Tim Hortons and other corporations are effectively profiting off the backs of taxpayers while contributing less to the tax system themselves.
But this issue goes beyond just one corporation. It's indicative of a larger problem within our immigration system, one that prioritizes corporate interests over the well-being of Canadian citizens and immigrants alike. The government's lax regulations and lack of oversight have allowed companies like Tim Hortons to take advantage of TFWs, paying them non living wages but simply minimum wage and offering fewer benefits than Canadian workers.
Boycotting Tim Hortons is not just about refusing to buy a cup of coffee; it's a powerful form of protest against unjust immigration policies and corporate greed that hurt the honest, tax paying Canadian. By refusing to support businesses that exploit TFWs, we send a clear message to both the government and corporations: Canadians will not tolerate the exploitation of foreign labour which hurts Canadians pocketbooks and access to public services like healthcare.
Tim Hortons holds a special place in the hearts of many Canadians. It's a symbol of our culture and identity, representing warmth, community, and shared experiences. By boycotting Tim Hortons, an American owned company, we will put our coffee and snack money into small owned Canadian shops and tell politicians "NO to mass immigration, and NO to TWP for minimum wage jobs."
Our protest against Tim Hortons is not an attack on the company itself, but rather a call for systemic change. It's a demand for fair treatment of all workers, regardless of their nationality or immigration status. It's a declaration that Canadians stand united against policies that prioritize corporate interests over the well-being of our citizens. Research has shown that immigration can positively affect a country, but even too much of a good thing is negative. For every 100k migrants, locals see 3-4% wage suppression and 1% increase in shelter cost.
In boycotting Tim Hortons, we reclaim our power as citizens. We refuse to be complicit in a system that undermines the values that define us as Canadians. It's time to hold both the government and corporations accountable for their actions and work towards a more just and equitable society where corporations pay living wages and decreasing their maximum profitability for their shareholders.

2024.05.15 20:58 Vast-Equal-4425 I am trying to make Web3 owning NBA teams, AMA

It's been over 15 years since Satoshi Nakamoto introduced Bitcoin, igniting discussions on how Web3 could reshape traditional financial systems, build a better world, solve poverty, and break monopolies. However, after 15 years, large funds and VCs have begun to dominate the Web3 space, somewhat overshadowing the decentralized ethos it originally promised.
Despite these challenges, I believe it's time for Web3 to reclaim its potential, not through token governance, but through actual governance of real-world assets, like NBA teams.
Who am I? I'm MingDynastyVase (https://twitter.com/MetaDynastyVase), an engineer in the Web3 sector and a fervent NBA fan and NBA Top Shot NFT collector.
My Dream Owning an NBA team has always been a dream of mine. Despite being a middle-class kid without extraordinary means, I've nurtured this dream by investing in Madison Square Garden Sports stocks, aspiring to participate in what I consider the ultimate fantasy game.
Inspiration from Web3 Inspired by Don Tapscott’s "Blockchain Revolution," I've realized how decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) could manage real-world businesses. Within the NBA Top Shot community, I've met others who share a deep love for the league and believe in Web3’s potential.
My Plan Traditional DAOs have often been criticized for centralization, where a few control the many. I aim to diverge from this by rallying the passion and fandom of the community rather than just fundraising through tokens. Here's how I envision it:
  1. Community Building: Gather fans and potential investors in an online community.
  2. Smart Contract Development: Launch a smart contract allowing participants to show their willingness to invest while maintaining control of their assets. See the prototype here: https://etherscan.io/address/0x46c5264728af4dbe274929f9509fbeabf8cca2c9
  3. Legal Framework: Establish an LLC to handle regulatory and legal frameworks.
  4. Network Growth: Expand our community, connect with players, team owners, and notable public figures.
  5. Deal Negotiation: Initiate fundraising only when a real opportunity to purchase NBA shares emerges, ensuring transparency throughout the process.
  6. Tokenization: Distribute tokenized shares to all investors.
  7. DeFi Integration: Develop a DeFi platform leveraging the tokens to enhance Web3 utility.
Benefits for You
By transforming fans into owners, we not only democratize team ownership but also integrate the passionate spirit of sports with the transformative potential of Web3.

2024.05.15 20:57 Community_Alliance Let's make stock trading fair for everyone

The GameStop (GME) stock saga highlighted significant issues in the stock market, including market manipulation concerns, short selling practices, trading restrictions, and extreme market volatility. These events underscored the disparities between retail investors and institutional investors, leading to widespread regulatory scrutiny and calls for market reform. To ensure a fairer trading environment, it is crucial to address these imbalances and enhance transparency, accountability, and financial literacy for all market participants.
The US Government has intervened to address bad trading practices in the past, some examples include;
U.S. regulators, including the Federal Reserve and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, fined banks a total of $2.75 billion for manipulation and unsound practices in the FX market. The fines were accompanied by requirements for policy improvements and increased senior management oversight to prevent future occurrences.
In response to the California energy crisis, which was significantly affected by Enron's manipulative trading practices, the government introduced new regulations to protect public interest in deregulated energy markets. This involved investigations and regulatory oversight to prevent similar abuses in the future.
Some topics or changes for discussion;
If investors have access to real-time data on large short positions and significant trades, this transparency helps retail investors make informed decisions, reducing the likelihood of market manipulation. With limits on short selling and the banning of naked short selling, stock prices reflect more accurately the true value of companies. This stability encourages long-term investments and reduces the risk of dramatic price swings caused by speculative trading. Consequently, individual investors feel more confident in their investments, leading to increased market participation and growth. Also, as ethical trading standards are enforced, with limits on leverage and high-risk strategies, the likelihood of market crashes and financial crises is reduced. With a stable and transparent market, more individuals and businesses invest confidently, leading to sustained economic growth.
Please add to the discussion below.

2024.05.15 20:57 baozilla-FTW [MIT Technology Review] How did China come to dominate the world of electric cars?

[MIT Technology Review] How did China come to dominate the world of electric cars?
TL;DR
1) Early 2000’s the Chinese government recognized that they would never be competitive with ICE and Hybrid tech since others already have a huge lead. They took a big risk and made a bet on the nascent EV technology. They also recognized that the tech would solve some of their pressing issues with pollution.
2) In 2007, Wan Gang, a former automotive engineer for Audi in Germany, became the Minister for Science and Technology. He was a supporter of EVs and push the country down the EV path.
3) From 2009 to 2022, the Chinese government provided $29 billion in subsidies and tax breaks to EV manufacturers.
4) The government jump started EV adoption by pushing for conversion of public transportation, taxis, buses and trains, to electric. Other things like rationing licenses helped push EV adoption with consumers.
5) Consumer subsidies were opened to ALL, including foreign firms like Tesla. (I find this fascinating)
6) Chinese companies and ,I assume, supported by the government, pushed battery tech especially the development of LFP batteries.
Not sure how to feel about this. Seems like the Chinese companies with support from the government took a big bet on EV tech and built out an entire system around it. This strike me as rather entrepreneurial on the part of the Chinese companies and government. The effort was almost two decades in the making. I am pretty sure this cannot be replicated anywhere else.
The other thing that astonish me is how relative fast and efficient all of this is, if the numbers are true. The Chinese government invested, in terms of manufacturing support, $29 billion across 13 years. This is outside the consumer subsidies that every government worldwide did, and now they have a huge lead in EV and Green tech, in general. There is a possibility several world-class companies will be coming out of this.

2024.05.15 20:55 i_am_baldilocks Data Quality / Data Monitoring Improvements at Very Old School Enterprise

Hi guys,
I was hired as a data engineer a few months ago at a very old-school public-private health insurance entity. They use an on-premises SQL Server warehouse for database work, everyone uses SQL and nobody knows Python except me (and maybe one other person who is learning). They use an outdated version control system called Team Foundation instead of git in conjuction with Azure DevOps, and chatbots are disabled on their virtual computers 'for security reasons'. Very slow moving, semi government enterprise. Just to give you guys a taste of what I am dealing with.
We talked about organizational goals yesterday, and people brought up Data Quality and Data Monitoring as things the team would like to aspire towards. I've got strong, more modern skills in Python, APIs and more generally my boss has told me he wants me on the team to be innovative and forward-thinking and expose the org to new things. I'm wondering whether there may be ways I can combine my modern skills set with these organizational goals.
My boss mentioned data profiling as one way to move forward those goals, and I saw that pandas profiling and Great Expectations are two software systems that could be helpful. I was wondering if anyone had other ideas of low-hanging fruit where I could help this enterprise's data quality / data monitoring efforts and help them modernize a bit as well. Really appreciate your ideas in advance.
