Is there any clubs that are still active on stardoll that give you an free gift for joining ? I remember there were an hanana montana club that gave everyone loads of hanana montana themed outfits and accessories and the amy diamond club that gave everyone an free swinging chair and an free poster for joining the club.

Hi all! Just wanted to make you aware of a project myself and my friends VERS4CE and Kage are working on. hi everyone, i joined recently and decided to rant here a little, hope you don’t mind and maybe relate to it.
so i am a long time player, my first account was made in 2007, current one in 2008. now i’m in my 20s and i have kinda love hate relationship with stardoll, came back after a long time in 2019 - 2020 and blogged a little, decided to give it a go… and here i am again, bought some nice things for my doll, remodelled my suite. and here’s the frustrating thing: there’s no community.
back in the day, i used to have so many people to talk to. i get it, social media is different now, everything’s different than in 00s and even 10s. but right now, i feel like there’s no way to break through, no way to meet people. i even write nice things in guestbooks, tried talking to the people. i even made a club, i was trying to advertise it, made a nice presentation, broadcasted it, only ONE person decided to join it. i remember spending time in the clubs ALL THE TIME, they were huge.
now Stardoll has become so transactional, there are small communities of people who put huge amounts of money into their accounts with wigs, realistic faces and rare clothing and i feel there’s no place for normal people and no place for a conversation. am i delusional or do you feel the same? i know times have changed and it’s the childhood nostalgia that’s hitting me. but isn’t it a little sad that Stardoll was such an iconic concept, it was everywhere, so influential and few steps ahead from everyone. it had access to red carpets, invited celebrities for collabs, i remember being obsessed with the fact i can buy my doll clothes from Sprouse twins’ or Arvil Lavigne’s shop. i used to receive ads and clothing to my suite informing me there’s a new Disney movie coming out next week. the Star Blog was everything, new posts and inspo every day, now it’s one mediocre post a month or two, but when i wanted to blog and asked Stardoll to view my samples and maybe let me try being a Starblogger - they can’t cause there’s too many Starbloggers, so no free spots. now it’s nothing, there’s not a single person who’s willing to go with the current flow and make this site a better place. only shallow people who are pretending to be nice only to ask you to sell them rare items from your closet and vote for them to become CG, doesn’t matter that it’s their 20th time winning

Hi all, apologies for the sappy post in advance. It's 3am here and I'm thinking on old friends I had on this site in the olden days (2009-2013 ish). I've fallen out of contact with 80% of those people and I dunno, part of me thinks if I leave this post here, someone might hit me up.
I was massively active in the Star Wars RP community in Clubs. I also hung out in the more general or fantasy-based RP clubs once I got a little older. For reference, I was 10 when I started RPing on Stardoll, and I'm now about to turn 25. (shakes cane) I remember some specific names and usernames, but obviously they haven't carried over to modern-day socials.
So if you ever hung around those club RP spaces and you had a username similar to (not exact but I've omitted some details for privacy reasons): Greendayrock, nowornever, Egrizzle, or if you hung out in RP clubs and think we might've been friends, please let me know. I'd love to reconnect or even just follow each other on social media.
Sorry again for the longwinded and niche post. Feel free to reminisce about your own friendships or club experiences. I don't think the RP scene was overly massive (though it felt it at the time), so this might be massive news to some people hahaha.

When I first joined in 2008 , I wasnt super star until at least one month or two later. Even then , my mum wouldnt pay for extra stardollars , so when I ran out , I used to spend hours finding free things to do on stardoll. Stardoll can be expensive to play but you dont have to pay loads to enjoy the game. I used to spend hours designing clothes , I didnt buy any until my super star renwed but I had fun making unique designs and improving my skills. I used to dress up my doll in an new outfit every day using the clothes I already had in my closet , I used to play on all the mini games , they are really fun if you take the time out to find ones you love , I used to visit other peoples dolls and suits and redorate their page and doll , that were really fun , I used to make senceries and decorate my album , now I play on the vote , I love getting free items , Ive been lucky enough to recieve some rares many of times too. Theres many free things you can do on stardoll , theres so much more to stardoll than just buying things and spending real money

Hey dolls ! So I dropped out of the msw race because WORK :’) . I just wanted to take a second to post about my album . It’s a concept I’ve been doing for a really long time , in so many variations . I came back to stardoll around December last year and was absolutely humbled and mesmerised by how the players too the game and made it their own . The amount of creativity and talent is so overwhelming I spent hours just browsing amazing suites and designs . That’s why on I had decided on December 2023 To make a magazine concept on my album to feature creative dolls , and gain some insight on their creative process and Inspirations . Authenticity has always been something I strive to always stand for. Being authentic means being vulnerable. The highest form of vulnerability comes through creating in all its forms no matter how small . You let a piece of your selfshine . Hi beauties, since I've recently came back to Stardoll, there's something I've noticed that I don't understand, and I was wondering if any of you know why this happens. there's so much free items on Starplaza, that appear in the browser and even in the shops. when I try to buy them, a message appears saying that the chosen item is not available. I's just me? And if no, What happens with all of them? there's really so so many! thank u!!

So, I can't save coding and images to stardoll anymore? Can I only use word and drag and paste?
How does one create dope contour like some of the bigger designers, I must know.
Any tips and tricks to make cool designs in the design studios?

And also, I'm struggling with Callies dress up scene mission. I put her in the scene three times and dressed her up, and It's not completing the task.

When Daniel Ek was just four years old, the country of Bosnia was in the middle of a War. With no other choice, he and his family became refugees and were forced to flee to Sweden.
As a child, Daniel had a passion for music and technology. At just 14, he taught himself how to code and started his first online business at 16, selling web advertising to other companies.
After graduating from high school he studied engineering at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, before dropping out to focus on his CS career. He worked as a programmer for various game companies, such as Stardoll, before starting his own online advertising company Advertigo in 2005.
In 2006, he was able to sell the company for an estimated $1 million to TradeDoubler, allowing him the opportunity to relax. But that wasn't the type of person Daniel was.
He was desperate for a new challenge.
The Vision
He decided to use the money he made from his past business to focus on an even bigger idea. An idea that would revolutionize the music industry.
At the time, previous peer-to-peer pirated music streaming services like Napster and Kazaa were gaining popularity. But it wasn't before long until they were sued into oblivion.
Daniel thought, why not create a streaming platform funded by ads enabling artists to make money from music online?
This would be a better experience for users and a way to save the music industry from piracy. So he thought for sure the record labels would hop on board.
But spoiler alert, the record labels were definitely not on board.
The Start of Spotify
In 2006 Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon, his partner from his previous startup, founded Spotify and got to work.
But that was just the beginning. In fact, if Daniel ever knew how complicated and controversial the journey would be, he might have never started Spotify in the first place.
Before pitching his idea to the record labels, Daniel needed a great working product. So during the summer, he spent months searching for and hiring programmers to build the initial version of the application. Ironically, to do so, Spotify had to pirate hundreds of thousands of songs, even though Spotify's value proposition is to prevent piracy.
When the product was ready, early testers loved it!
But the record labels hated it...
Daniel pitched them a free music service funded by ads, where they would get a large percentage of the revenue.
But as soon as they heard the word “free”, they lost interest. They wanted people to pay for music. The three big record companies that dominated the industry: Warner, Sony, and Universal. For Spotify to work, Daniel needed all three of them on board.
The situation was bleak. But at the last minute, Daniel managed to strike a compromise.
Spotify would also offer a paid tier, where the record labels would get 70% of the revenue and a portion of Spotify's stock.
The Launch
In October 2008, Spotify officially launched.
Spotify was relieved. They did it. They finally won over the music industry. But that was far from the case.
The record labels would regularly threaten to pull their licenses if Spotify did not make changes to the platform. Some of which included making the free version worse so more users would pay for the premium tier, raking in more profits for the record labels.
That begged the question, what happened if record companies did pull Spotify's licenses?
Spotify needed leverage.
The good news is Daniel Ek had two solutions.

1. Around 2019 Spotify began investing in podcasts and spent over $1 Billion investing in podcasts. This included the purchase of Anchor, and buying original content exclusive to the platform.
2. To develop a personalized music experience. Initially, Spotify served you the music you already knew. By investing heavily in machine learning they were able to curate music to an individual's taste and, in 2015, announced discover weekly.

It worked.
Spotify now has over 515 million monthly active users and over 210 million premium subscribers. The company officially went public in April 2018, making Daniel a billionaire with an estimated net worth of $2.8 billion.

On this sub we discuss all things relating to Stardoll. I've gotten many comments and messages both on here and on Stardoll from past players who have decided to return to the game. If there's any questions or concerns you have please share them below or feel free to make a your own post to make sure your question is seen.
Some people may not know, but in 2021 most major web browsers stopped supporting Adobe Flash Player. Because of this many Flash based sites like Stardoll created launchers, so their games could continue to be enjoyed. If you're playing Stardoll on the website you may notice that certain features like all the design studios and the starbazaar urge you to download Flash Player to access them. This is because the Stardoll website is in beta mode. It's been like this for over a year now. No one knows how far along they are in converting the website to HTML5 or if they're even still working on it. If you use the website some of the accessible features might not look right on most browsers. For this reason I urge you to download the Stardoll launcher. You can find more information on that and a link to download it for either pc or mac here. Web browsers like Puffin and Maxthon Nitro still support Flash, so if you'd like you can also use those to play the site normally. Please note that Maxthon Nitro is only available on Windows.
