2024.06.09 13:51 kingmooze First time in forever AMD so did i miss anything?

So it´s been a while since I built a new PC.. Really long and even longer since I used all AMD. I´m not into OC in regards that I now chase numbers even if I at one point did. Now i just wanna make the most of what i have. I have been changing stuff around slowly but since it´s an AMD and im not that up to date I was woundering if i missed something that could be better in terms of settings? Im not sure about the FCLK and feel i can push it more but havent had the time mto test it. I went from 23.8k in Timespy to a bit above 27k. AIDA seems to be as bad at benching as several years ago but its showing latency at 66.6ns wich feels really bad? Linpack at standard 3gig and 4 runs shows 393.046 in average. Not that great it feels like?
I do run all test with torrent, some chrome windows and wallpaper-engine running. Specs are: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D ASUS TUF GAMING RX 7900 XT OC ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-F GAMING WIFI DDR5-6000 KINGSTON CAS 30 (Hynix) 2x16 running at 6200.

  1. New: Bypass apps from all proxies.
  2. New: Disallow stopping from Notification Bar and Quick Settings on app lock.
  3. New: Capture network engine errors in user bug reports.
  4. New: Use System DNS for "undelegated" domain names iff Prevent DNS leaks is ON.
  5. UI Refresh: IP and DNS logs for each app with a new organized UI.
  6. Improvement: TCP, UDP connection establishment.
  7. Improvement: Dual-stack (IPv4 + IPv6) WireGuard connectivity.
  8. Improvement: Avoid blocking the UI elements when the network engine is unresponsive.
  9. Bug fix: Connection timeouts with Advanced DNS filtering turned ON.

I've been having this problem for multiple days now, every time I try to update or start an app it gives me an error related to my internet. I've restarted my router and my pc numerous times, and the problem keeps happening. Does anyone know how to fix it?

One person with excellent, higher-order programming skills in Godot GDScript who could pair with my graphics and programming abilities for a highly popular 1990's game title, top down racer remake.

Synopsis of Theme:

You are an up and coming racecar driver. It is the 1990's when flamboyant super cars, daring films(James Bond esq) and thrilling car races are all the buzz. Catching this excitement, a movie studio has noticed your driving talent. During a racing season, you'll be given access to 'unique' races at movie locations. Ie: "Blues Brothers Mall scene", or driving through a mine site with giant excavators and blasting of rock walls for that all important movie-shot. Or, many other weird and unusual prop-heavy locations, like a slime factory, or an industrial petrochemical plant complete with fiery explosions and other such spectacular events. To achieve access to these, you need to prove your worth on the daily race track. Many are non-ordinary tracks. They'll have things like giant water canons to push you around, wobbling roads, uneven rocky tracks, dips, jumps, giant pinball flippers, oil firing canons, trains and other devices all while in furious and intense competition with other NPC drivers.
Be forewarned, the video’s below show a distinct lack of polish. Ie: skidding-black level on packed dirt, no inertia correction in skid, no proper power to gear ratio etc, etc.

Overview of Game ‘Chunks’:

Some Cars
Ok. in absolute brief: You start at ‘D’ category, have access to those cars and parts at that level. Above, cars on the left are ‘D’, then the next two are ‘C’, then next two are ‘B’, ‘A’, and the last two are ‘Ultra Class’ category. Each Category is an entire season of 10 tracks each. Including special event tracks.
On the roads, there are props, you plough into them for rewards, and special things called ‘chits’. Props are fences, oil drums, wood piles and anything that looks like it needs a good smashing.
Ultimately, Chits are used in a mini game (like Wheel of Fortune), to earn higher grade parts, cash prizes and even a better car than your current season’s level cap.
There’s a parts shop, a car shop, a Tv studio(for the WoF bit) and your assembly garage.
When you complete a season, if you make it into the top 3 racers at the end, you can upgrade to the next season D -> C. That means better and faster cars, higher grade engine parts, more challenging drivers, more tracks and bigger prizes on the Wheel of Fortune spin mini game. And you keep going until you reach Ultra class, where you’re driving monstrous hypercars against the best to win the entire full season.
It is meant to be a difficult game, just like the original. Practice makes Perfect.

Market Expectations:

Do note: Top down racers are NOT big money earners, so don't expect a huge audience. We would probably be lucky to fit just Below 'Make Way' at position 15.

What Happened and why am I doing this:

Me: Senior IT Manager. (BMech Eng.). + Hobby Artist (Pretty OK & particularly fast) + VB6 Coder (Strong skills). Was working on a BIG VB6 program for enjoyment. (https://nelfid.com/)

Had to stop. Looked at Godot for continuation, seriously impressed, started learning it, WOW. Decided to build a racer for shits and giggles and to learn from it. Ok, fun, easy, cool, and then decided to upgrade it with pretty graphics and decent gameplay. Game testers went nuts, I went nuts. Too much fun.
But, I’m long suffering from a sleep disorder. So re-re-re-learning Godot between medical hiatuses isn’t fun. However I can churn out art and Godot prop code no matter my condition.
I’m still a beginner at Godot, an advanced coder in VB6, I can prototype well. HOWEVER, I’m better at smashing out tracks worth of art, cars portraits, cars sprites, car cutaways and Godot track and props setup.
What I am NOT good at is the higher order setup of minimising repeat code and proper setout of node hierarchies (I haven’t learned it yet). I’m tired of bashing my head against, all the old vector math, engine math, gearing data and power curves. (I graduated that stuff at University too many years ago.)
I’m looking for someone who likes THAT, car-frictiony-enginey-handling-math. Someone who likes building car-part-shop-garage-drag-drop-thingy-interfaces. Someone who enjoys a good thrash and smash car game with a penchant for comedy and silliness. Someone who’ll also help with all the OTHER things needed to put a game on Steam and random marketing functions. Someone who knows how to handle multi-packed scenes and not build shit code.
As needed, I’ll be covering ALL the art, all the interface art, you-name-it, you just make it work. I’ll also be building and drawing all the tracks. Ideas and creation for silliness, wackiness, interesting tracks, cool props, etc, will be a duo effort for building them. If you have art skills too, great, join in.
Do note: I’m aiming at hand-drawing 50 tracks in grand total, their props and variants. This is an astronomical amount of work. I WILL get burnout, and the contingency is to ask the audience for fun and silly ideas too. This way, the track-select-bucket can be filled over time. Even after Steam’s Early Access commences. Seriously, you’ve got to go above and beyond to stand out nowadays.
Have SQLite skills? Good, because we will be using it.

Build Time:

Speculatively guessing for build time. Minimum time 3 months. Maximum time 6 months to complete.

Goal Post 1:

Schedule I'd like to do: Prep the game with a first stage demo. As per above, but with say 3 tracks, and 3 different user cars and proper NPC AI. Chuck that on Steam as a first port of call. This shouldn't take long as the shop/parts/Tv studio are not relevant here. Just racing and a simplistic track select menu. Car types can be basic hard coded engines and handling here (ie: no part swapping yet).

Goal Post 2:

Second stage demo: and with it, Early Access. Entire Season 1 Tracks ready. All stuff is here, shops, parts, Tv studio. Category 'D' racing is fully open here. The user can run through the whole 1'st stage, 10 tracks (with celebrity tracks included). However, more difficult grades C, B, A and Ultra cars, parts and other tracks are not available. This is so the users can get a 100% feeling for the game, and if they want to go to the next level (more difficult, more tracks, more parts, more cars, more excitement) they'll have the incentive to purchase the full game. Early access means we'll start dumping down new tracks and celebrity tracks as they get made so EA's can get them in the random bucket as we go along.

Goal Post 3:

Real Launch: Everything done, but tracks might not be fully complete yet (at least 50% done). Track selection is done from a diminishing pool randomly selected per each season. If short, it will select from the bucket again. At this stage the entire game should be coded in full, with the exception of new props for upcoming tracks. Which you'll be helping out with.

Marketing:

Marketing is informal at the moment, and happy to share ideas and discuss approaches accordingly. Currently I've been collecting relevant forum/group websites for those who love or may love this stuff.

Sound:

Music and sound effects assets will be from sites like Zapsplat and other affiliate style sites. (So we'll need to program in a car CD Player or Tape Deck, lol) If worthwhile to translate for other languages, we can do that as it's not a text heavy game.

Revshare:

Rev share will be pinned at 50/50 unless there is some other extenuating circumstances. Official company setup and final legals will occur immediately prior to Early Access -> pending interest level by users.
You won't be 'just' coding. Wherever we can both cover each other's backs to smash things out as fast as possible, you'll need to be flexible. Game's are not just coding and artwork.
I expect you to be proactive because I’ll have my hands full with art and technical props.

For example, if my clanmate clutched out an attack with 1 second left the replay won't really show that (unless you're counting the full 3 minutes from the start) 3: Continuing on with replays, is there any possibility of an updated UI to show which hero equipment are being used? This is moreso for when you're on youtube or some other media player and can't click on the hero to see. For the future of Clash of Clans, since there are now many event troops added to the game, will there be a possibility to add a barrack for those troops? We're planning to introduce an optional Hard Mode that can be used for Friendly Challenges and Friendly Wars. This will be introduced in our June update. The exact settings of what that mode will be are still TBD and the plan is to make further adjustments to it based on community feedback. It would be used for the world finals this year. We'll think about if and how we might use this in other areas of the game. The skill gap in our players is extremely wide. Some are wanting a really tough experience while others, who are still very loyal active players are looking for something more chill. Surely with the new hero equipment which gave a massive boost to the heroes the game didn't need to get any easier right? We have set targets on the 3 star rates we'd like to see at different Town Halls. Part of the long-term solution here is also to build better tools for players to learn better strategies. 27 Why isn't there a mechanic that incentives game time or time on app? As an active player, I am almost always ONLY waiting for builders and almost always with full storages (or close enough that there's zero point doing anything). It actually incentivizes me to play less or not at all. Why not a small builder boost per attack star earned (relative to league placement)? Eg. if you 3 star a base in Titan, you get a 10 minute builder boost or something. Seems counterintuitive to voluntarily limit play time and time on app. There should be some reward, even small, for wanting to play more. Our timers are too long and we are working to bring them down. We agree too often active people get blocked with nothing to do by timers. But we also don't want those active players to run out of things to upgrade and are playing for. So we want to introduce more systems to the game that let us add more to do and play for. It'll take time to build those systems but as we have more of them our average timers will shrink. At the same time at Supercell we don't believe infinite play time is healthy for players in the long run either. So having timers and similar mechanics is needed somewhat. 34 As per latest report, coc would be releasing new townhall level after every 12 month. Even though there are curs being made at cost or time for upgrades, for low level townhall catching up sure seems impossible. And walls after th14 is a nightmare unless the game has already been beaten. How would this be addressed? 2. Some possible updates that my friends have made up were: Self Clan Wars: Start a quick war within your own clan to practice without the stress of needing a 3 star every time. It could be a separate tab, similar as to how you can see prep day for the following day in CWL. An auto-Donate replacement feature (can be toggled on and off), where the troop you donate is instantly remade and shuffled to the front, would be a nice QoL change This sounds really stupid, but like, maybe a friendly mode where you can attack with modifiers to spice it up. IE: Defenses do 1.5x damage BUT you have 10 xtra spell slots, or the defensive targeting is switched. just stupid crap like that can bring a little life into an attack. Hey everyone, just wanted to share a little story of my Homebrew adventure! So… I hacked and modded my Wii about two weeks ago, and it’s been a blast! This console is capable of so much more than I thought, and even more than I think right now, I’m sure! But today I had a new essential Homebrew experience: My first brick... So, I had basically every emulator I could dream of, Wiiflow with a few Wii and GameCube games, plenty of WiiWare and Virtual Console titles, I had it all! Except one thing… a custom Wii menu theme! Now, I heard it was pretty risky to install them, and had refused to even think about it for a while… but after I had safely installed several Wads, which I heard can be dangerous, I thought “Hey, what’s the worst that can happen?“ and went for it! I downloaded tons to my SD Card, and wanted to try them all out and see which was best! I tried a Goku one, didn’t care for it, then a Vegeta one, a bit better, and then a Broly one, liked it well enough, then a SpongeBob one, I liked it a lot, and then… I decided to try out a Nirvana one! I installed it, all seemed well, and then I booted to the home menu! Wait, what’s this? It’s not loading... “Must be a bug.” I thought, as I powered off the console! When I turned it back on, my Nirvana theme was there! All I had to do was press A to launch the menu! And…! …what. It’s not loading. Please… no… NO!!! And just like that, I’d bricked my Wii! I panic and panic, but then I realized! When I was setting up my Wii, I got Bootmii and Priiloader, and I also did a NAND Dump! I didn’t really understand what it was for, but after some research, I launched Bootmii, use RestoreWii, and just like magic… my Wii was back! Well… not exactly, all my custom channels disappeared, because I did the NAND Dump before installing them, but it was a small price to pay for my console to return to its glory! So yeah, that’s the story of my first console brick! (And hopefully the last…) I’m a bit sad because I lost a couple of hours on my Ace Attorney WiiWare file, (I was in the middle of Episode 2) not to mention my Wiiflow games, DBZ Tenkaichi Budokai 3, Donkey Kong Country Returns, The Thousand Year Door, Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Wind Waker… Still! It’s best to learn from this mistake now instead of later, when I had more game progress, and more channels! Anyways, yeah! I just wanted to share my little story, and share the feeling of relief I’m getting from this happy ending! However, let this be a lesson to you: What ever you do… NEVER, AND I MEAN NEVER, skip a NAND Dump when you begin modding a Wii! I never expected something like this to happen to me, but it did, and it could happen to you! Make sure you take proper precautions, all it takes is 10 minutes and a copy and paste to a safe folder, don’t skip it, please! Anyways, that’s all, see ya around! ✌️
Note: I think I may have at least and idea as to what caused the brick with that theme in particular! So, when I was using the app to convert .mym files into .csm files, I had start a new project with each file I converted! When I was doing one file, (I don’t recall which exactly, but if my assumption is correct, it was the Nirvana one) I noticed the little text box in the corner that gave the iOS info was longer than the rest! I excused it, assuming it was just a larger theme, but it’s possible I forgot to start a new project, and the info from the Nirvana theme and the previous theme were converted together, corrupting the file! It’s only a guess, maybe I was really that unlucky, who knows. I could try it again with in mind, since I am a Nirvana fan, but it’s so traumatic to me at this point, it‘d be impossible to enjoy it 😂 Anyways, just wanted to share that info!

Running macOS Monterey 12.7.5, have a Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch CTH-460, no software discs were included (bought used, open box). Tablet plugged in directly to USB port, displays white light on the LED panel, turns orange when using pen. Additionally, when downloading drivers, I attempted to use the newest one 6.4.6-3 direct from the Wacom website that shows compatibility with my OS version, but the utility app does not recognize the device as it is likely too old for the software. Uninstalled that one, attempted to use the driver 5.3.7-6 despite it being listed as supporting macOS 10.9 - 10.12, which allows the tablet to be used as a trackpad (mostly) but the pen functionality is still turning orange even when hovering and not interacting with the screen. The touch function does work, when I put my finger on it the white LED brightens. The side buttons also work and are preset to whatever factory defaults it comes with (left and right click, back etc.)
When opening the Wacom Utility App that was downloaded with the "correct" driver 5.3.7-6 it does nothing terribly helpful, the app is definitely working and pulls up fine, and can only perform the basic tasks of preference removal, backup, restore and removal of the software itself.
There is a "Wacom Tablet" icon that appears at the bottom of the System Preferences Menu, but upon clicking it, an error message saying that there is an issue with the driver and it needs to be updated appears. I cannot edit or change any settings for the tablet at this point, making it functionally useless.
**I have also attempted these steps with versions 6.3.17-5 (did not recognize the tablet) and 5.3.6-6 (incompatible with my version of macOS). And yes I have uninstalled and reinstalled each driver multiple times, reset the computer, and ensured that only one driver exists at a time to avoid overlap.
Any ideas?

I’ve been trying to download E-sign and it refuses to load. I’ve tried going through this link and it won’t work. The top and bottom one are actual files but I have downloaded both in the middle and haven’t had luck with either. I assumed the iOS15+ would work. But I also tried the S12 one. I’m on the latest iOS but they just won’t work. It pops up with a message saying “unable to install esign+ (ios15+/S12+). Please try again later. I’ve checked to see if i can verify it through settings like I did with scarlet before it was revoked. Do I need to do something special for it to work? The only other things verified through it is Appdb and a few theme related things like Themify. I just really want to do more with sideloading but I’m not sure why it isn’t working. If anyone has a solution for it please let me know.

Hey everyone!
I plan on switching from Ubuntu Server to Proxmox soon and I would really appriciate some feedback and if what I want to do is doable.
Current setup details:
My home server is a Lenovo mini PC (i5 8th gen with 32gb ram) that runs docker for HA, arr stack, Plex, pihole, etc
Media is stored on a 2-bay QNAP NAS (4TB and 16TB HDDs)
My goals are:
  1. Increase storage capabilities with minimum cost
  2. Host Immich (self-hosted photos cloud) with a mirror backup
  3. Switch HA to HAOS for easier addons installation and update
  4. Have a better backup and restore mechanism with Proxmox
Proxmox plan:
On the VM side of things, I plan to set up a VM for HA OS and another one for TrueNAS.
The TrueNAS VM will also be used to host my docker containers (arr stack, plex, etc).
Regarding storage \ RAID setup - Since my mini PC only has one NVME slot I'll use an NVME to 6 SATA ports adapter to be able to increase the storage capacity.
I'll have one pool with the current 4TB and 16TB HDDs on RAID0 (so total 20TB) - this is only for media that I don't care to lose because I can always re-download everything (already happened once because of a defective HDD).
And a second pool with two (new) 4TB HDDs on RAID1 (mirror) for my self-hosted Immich library so I have a backup if one drive fails.
One of the SATA connections (on the adapter) will be converted (using yet another adapter) back to NVME so I could use my current NVME drive to host Proxmox (currently used to host Ubuntu)
I do have a couple of questions - will I be able to use my current HDDs without erasing them? I have the media library on these.
Also, will I be able to transfer my current Docker container configurations?
Any advice \ feedback will be great here as I want to lower the downtime of my services.

2024.06.08 22:58 frozen1c3 [Guide] Galaxy Watch6 ( Wear OS ) as daily driver instead of your smart phone for digital detoxing

tl;dr

As many, i have used my phone too much - thats way better now using my Galaxy Watch6 as daily driver and i picked up the phraise "digital detoxing", which describes it very well. Here are the results of my journey to do that as a quick guide.

the problem

I noticed, that there are very valid reasons (calls, important messages, etc) to pick up my phone, but then there are tons of invalid reasons to keep using it afterwards (wachting/reading random stuff).
The problem is, that it is way too easy and that it takes a good amount of concentration to continously reflect your activities, evaluate wether its good/important and to only continue if this is the case.

the solution - theory

The simple one is obviously to pretty much stop using my phone or buy one of these 'stupid' phones.
But for now i am not willing to do that. So what i prefer is to split up whats important and whats less important. Important things should be easily accessible and the useless stuff should require more effort.
For me the small screen of the watch does not invite me to stay too long, so this is perfect.
Beware: If your using ex. whatsapp WAY too much, this solution will obviously make it worse for you, as the availability of it increases using a watch.

the solution - in practice

I never wanted to use a smart watch but now i love it, because it does the job.
Choice of watch - criteria
So my choice is the Galaxy Watch6 (7 will most likely be similar and a great choice as well).
Discarded: Oneplus 2 (no LTE), Google pixel 1/2 (smaller screen and higher price here)
Requirements & apps
The current selection of WearOS is seriously bad, but at least i found half way reasonable solutions for now. Feel free to name better solutions to the ones mentioned below and im happy to migrate.
All these apps are far from perfect and if you know any better, please let me know.
Sideloading apps via ADB
ADB means "Android Debug Bridge" and is intended for developers to test their apps. But its also useful to install apps, that are not on the Play Store for Wear OS, like all the apps for your android phone. The majority wont work, but some do. Of course their user interface is not optimized for a watch but its sometimes better than nothing.
There are tons guide on how to install an app via ADB, but its basically these steps:

It was quite some work to figure out all this stuff, but it was worth the cost. I now use my phone a bit more like my PC - i take it into my hands when i have something in mind to get done. Take the phone - do whats needed - put it back to the charger. Its helpful to still keep the phone switched on, as this saves battery for your watch ALOT. Your phone will keep the LTE connection and your watch only has to use low power bluetooth to make calls. Switch your phone off for a day and you will see the difference.
So i hope this guide helps a bit for your personal digital detoxing - doing whats needed digitally but not too much more than that.
If you dont like it - fine - you dont have to - maybe it helps others.

So I originally posted this in multiple Unihertz Titan facebook groups, but admins deleted, I think I it was Unihertz themselves, ironically they abandoned us keyboard users but don’t want us to move on. 👎 But I was told they have no admin rights here so I should get on here and post it, first ever post on Reddit too btw. But yeah I preordered my Clicks Keyboard in January, and it finally arrived about 10 days ago and this is what I think so far:
The weight balance is obviously top heavy, but everyone I’ve seen use it so far seems to have blown it out of proportion! I was very concerned when i made my preorder that it would be ergonomically uncomfortable and therefore unusable but I can happily report that is not the case. I would consider it only slightly top heavy and a non-issue for me thus far.
And as a case it’s kinda interesting and also surprisingly good. It grips the phone very firmly at the corners although admittedly it’s pretty loose around the size. I am, however confident that it will not come out of the case accidentally. The sides are very rubbery’ providing more than ample grip, and I have no problem placing my confidence in it. One-handing the phone is incredibly awkward, however i have no concern of dropping the phone. The back appears to be made out of some sort of ABS plastic, providing less grip than the sides, but still enough to be sufficient. And around the back of the keyboard appears to be some faux leather backing or something like that. I find myself not gripping very tightly, though there is plenty of purchase to be found down there if that be your ergonomic preference. The side buttons are also remarkably easy to access and press, in fact, easier than any of the cases I’ve had for my pro max prior to this. All and all I think it’s really good and if they sold these as standalone cases I would still consider buying one.
I also recall Mr Mobile claiming in the promotion material that there was no noticeable impact in battery life. I can say that this is a blatant fabrication, as my system says it eats between 10 to 15 percent of my battery per day, according to my settings. And the elephant in the room is obviously the price. 160 dollars is a lot of money. For what you get i personally think somewhere between 80-100 dollars is a fair and appealing price. But this is a small, niche market we belong to, and right now they’ve kinda got us cornered. It’s unfortunate and unlikely to change until Unihertz decides they want to make us another phone.
My final verdict is this. I’m a content creator. I bought an iPhone for the first time since the days of the 4S, and my first android phone was the original Motorola Droid (which i still have BTW. still boots too). Keyboard or no keyboard I’ve always preferred the interface and ease of multitasking that android has provided from the very beginning. I preordered the Titan pocket and Titan slim as well. The Slim was my daily for 6 months and was ultimately defeated by it,so lack of modern hardware. And the experience I’ve had so far is definitely comparable to the titan series, and compelling enough to make a good argument. With the non customizable shortcuts baked into iOS paired with much better hardware, this definitely feels like the next logical step as someone who won’t give up on keyboards. I’ve heard some other owners of the Clicks say their model is falling apart after a few months of use, and i really hope mine doesn’t suffer the same fate because this seems like something I could really get used to. Add in the immaculate battery life, camera and video quality of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, i could see myself sailing this device for a VERY long time.
Update: At the time I originally posted this review on facebook, I was not aware the Clicks Keyboard has an app in the App Store. I have since installed it. It has a few settings you can adjust, mainly the backlight time out and the auto-sleep inactivity timer for the keyboard. Which i have now set to 10 minuted, and yeah, I must say it has mitigated a quite large portion of the battery drain the keyboard was causing. So that’s another plus.

Hi everyone,
I think it was about 5-6 years ago when I was really into Magic: The Gathering Arena (MTGA). I used to start my day at work by watching Merchant and AliasV's videos while having my coffee. I would spend my lunch breaks playing 2-3 matches. This continued until the Throne of Eldraine set, but then my workplace gave me an iMac, and I lost my lunchtime match sessions (since Arena wasn't available on macOS at that time). Over time, increasing work demands and other factors led me to quit the game. From what I remember, Wizards of the Coast was heavily criticized for their decisions during that period, and Merchant stopped making MTGA videos. It seems like AliasV is no longer producing Arena content either.
I know my introduction is a bit long. At my new job, they gave me a tablet, and when I saw the MTGA suggestion on the Play Store, it reminded me of the enjoyable days I had, and I felt a strong urge to download the app.
To cut a long story short, are there any content creators nowadays who produce daily videos similar to what Merchant did during that period? How is the current economy and the daily and weekly quest system in the game? For someone who can dedicate at most 1-2 hours a day, how is the environment? Back in the day, the game was very suitable for casual players, but it's been years since I last followed MTGA. How is the game now, and is it still a good environment for casual players?
How is the app's performance, and is there a good deck tracking system that works with the app?
Note: I'm not a very skilled player. I usually follow recommended decks (my favorite color is black). I try to build meta decks with the help of deck recommendation apps.

Assalam-o-Alaikum!
I recently got an S23+ from a local seller. I haven't paid yet, since we know the seller personally and he has given us a 2-3 days testing period.
The Problem
I am not receiving any OTA updates for OneUI 6.1. I am currently on OneUI 6.0 (Android 14). My model is 'SM-S916U' which is American locked. I told him about this but he said that it will get updates. Now, I'm pretty sure I will need to flash my firmware (as per my research) to 'U1'. I want to receive all OTA updates in the future, not download them manually.
I am yet to pay the seller so I will not try anything on my own. However, is there any chance I may brick my S23+? Are there any bugs? Can someone guide me to the best U1 firmware since there are a lot of options? I've heard 'XAA' is the best, but why so? Or should I consult the seller and get it done through a software technician? How much would it cost?

I am having some trouble with Rootless Podman. I followed this guide.
First I created a location for my container mkdir -p ~/containers/beets. Then run podman unshare chown -R 1000:1000 containers/beets/. When I do ls -la containers I see beets is now changed to 100999 100999.
Then I start the container: bash podman run -d --name beets\ -e PUID=1000 \ -e PGID=1000 \ -p 8337:8337 \ -v "$HOME/containers/beets/config:/config" \ -v "/mnt/storage/music:/music" \ -v "/mnt/storage/downloads:/downloads" \ lscr.io/linuxservebeets:latest
Beets writes some config files to my ~/containers/beets/config folder. Now when I want to make changes to the config I get nano containers/beets/config/config.yaml I get: [ File 'containers/beets/config/config.yaml' is unwritable ].
Then my second issue, the other 2 binds are /mnt/storage/downloads and /mnt/storage/music.
When I do: bash podman unshare chown -R 1000:1000 /mnt/storage/music/ chown: changing ownership of '/mnt/storage/music/': Operation not permitted
As you can see I am the owner of this folders: bash la /mnt/storage/ total 274M drwxr-xr-x 2 bas bas 4.0K May 15 12:15 downloads/ drwxr-xr-x 3 bas bas 4.0K Jun 6 15:44 music/ This storage is mergerfs which is a Union filesystem is this not supported?
Now when I run a podman exec -it beets /bin/bash -c 'beet import /downloads' I start with -rw-r--r-- 1 bas bas and in the music folder -rw-------. Is there a way to actually give the correct permission to the files?
Edit: OS is Raspbian.
