The following is my ideal start to the sequel. I apologize in advance for the parentheses.
The MC is awakened by a knock at the door.
Either Amit, Poppy, or Gareth (depending on the MC's house) enter the room, saying something along the lines of
"Sorry, I didn't wake you did I?"
We discover that the MC has been staying at one of the above characters' houses for Summer Break, due to the MC being an orphan (set up MC backstory).
The MC and other character go downstairs for breakfast with the other character's family. (A lot of this takes inspiration from Harry's time at the Burrow) An owl arrives with a letter for school supplies.
It is decided that they will all go to Diagon Alley the next day. However, first things first- house chores!
Depending on the house of the MC, the chores will vary. I even imagine de-gnoming could be a possibility if with the Weasleys.
After completion of the chores, the player is given the option to explore the house and yard before ending the day. The next morning the player and family go to Diagon Alley via Flu Powder. The player is free to explore Diagon Alley, including Gringotts, where they may set up an account. There will also be an option to buy a broom and/or a wand, each with varying potentials (speed, power, etc.) However, the funds will be limited, so choices will have to be made. There will be some unique products available for purchase in Diagon Alley, which the player may have a second chance to buy during the Winter break, when they will have the option to stay at the Leaky Cauldron or at an empty Hogwarts, each with their own possible benefit.
Upon returning to the house from Diagon Alley, a bit of fun begins.
Depending on which house the MC is staying at, this bit will differ.
If staying with the Weasleys, MC will play a 2-on-2 quidditch game (with just a quaffle, I believe)
If staying with Amit, perhaps a flight to a nearby hill for some star gazing.
If staying with Poppy...maybe like following unicorn tracks, ending in a unicorn ride through the woods??
Alas, thus the fun ends and it is time to prepare for the next day's journey to Hogwarts.
(It would be cool if each family had a different way to get to Kings Cross- broom flight, portkey, floo powder? This could also be a quest in itself)
The MC walks through platform 9 3/4 and gets the opportunity to wander around briefly, before the train whistle and a voice warns of its nearing departure.
The MC, along with the other character, boards the Hogwarts Express. After checking around various compartments and perhaps getting refused by some antagonizing students, the MC finds an open compartment to sit in. After a brief conversation and perhaps some new character introductions, the MC gets the chance to buy some things from the trolley and can wonder around the train. There could be some sort of quest (finding a student's lost belonging? Stopping some older students from bullying anxious first years?) before the train begins its approach to Hogsmeade Station (Ideally the player could control how long or short the train ride lasts).
The students exit the train and the camera might show a mysterious hooded figure watching from a bench on the other platform. We might get a cut scene of the carriages trek to the school (and in said process, we might see/hear a glimpse of something worrisome through the trees.) We enter the great hall for the sorting ceremony. We watch the ceremony and notice something unusual with one of the students (perhaps something sinister even--random thought, what if the student were actually a powerful dark wizard who had used the polyjuice potion to take on the appearance of a student in order to infiltrate Hogwarts), like the hat announcing the student's house before the student even sits down (eg. Draco). This student may or may not be a potential antagonist.
We get the chance to converse with just about all of our housemates, with more lengthy conversations with students in our own year. (Along with the train ride, this is an opportunity for relationship building) We also get to eat the variety of foods that have appeared on the table. We then get some school announcements from the headmaster, including but not limited to the try out dates for Quidditch. After the announcements, the feast is brought to a close, and house prefects guide the first years to their respective houses (and in this process, the MC might catch the unusual first year looking at them as they exit the Hall).
The MC then heads to their common room along with the other students. The player gets to explore the common room and interact with it magically (lighting fireplace, accio-ing books etc.), maybe eventually getting scolded by some older students, a ghost or a prefect. Also, the bulletin board lists some possible quests to be done on a later date. There are also NPCs with whom the MC can play exploding snap and wizards chess with in the common room. (Gobstones would be available to play outside)
The player is free to stay in the common room, but with all of the other students eventually heading up to their rooms, the player will naturally wish to do so as well. Upon going up to the bedroom, they will join in on a brief conversation with their roommates about the next day's classes etc. Then, the player will get to sleep in their bed, to get some rest before the start of a new school year.

I’ve looked at several interesting non-english patents in the past, and stumbled over an interesting looking one today too. It is for how to do attach a handle to your shaving apparatus. Or to put it in a different way; a handle attachment to your razor.
Patented by Paul Druseidt, the invention gives a razor that both pack flat and is easy to assemble. It consists of a normal-ish razor head and a U-shaped handle made from spring steel. The handle is ever so slightly smaller than the head of the razor and can nestle inside it.

The key is the shape of the recesses or hole on the underside of the razor. The keyhole, if you will. As can be seen from the drawing, it was longer one way than the other, and had arches or troughs on either side.
The U-shaped handle was, as mentioned, springy. You would insert it along the long axis of the hole, then twist it 90°. The arches on either side would stop it from slipping back, and the tension of the spring steel would hold it in place. After shaving the handle could be twisted back, removed, and placed against the inside of the razor head

All clear and fairly straight forward.
I though initially that a top cap could have been fastened by the pair of hook shaped projections on the bottom plate. I also though that these projections also would have acted as blade guides for a normal Gillette three hole blade.
Further research showed me that maybe was no top cap, and the hooks just held on to a proprietary blade. The first hint came in Waits’ Razor Compendium. Waits’ Compendium do mention a Druseidt razor – along with the similar Impero and Ratio razor. And in the description of the later, Waits states that “the special thick double-edged blade has two square holes and two centre oval dimples”.
Waits’ Compendium also mentions that “later versions has two pieces”, by which he seems to mean that at least the late production Ratio was made with a top cap. This in turn matches with pictures I found in a thread over on Shaving Universe, which clearly shows a top cap.
A top cap, I might add, that looks very much like Waits’ description of a “special thick double edged blade”…
Was Waits just confusing a poor quality picture of a top cap for a proprietary blade? Quite possible. It could simply be that a lot of the Druseidt, Impero, and Ratio razors that have survived have lost their top caps over the years.
Interestingly all three of the razors mentioned also have u-shaped handles. But none of the three has the handle attachment method described in the patent. Instead they uses a swinging out handle, which still relies on spring pressure to lock in place.
Overall the Druseidt patent looks like it would make an interesting razor, possible more interesting than the Druseidt razors that were actually manufactured.

I was absolutely blown away. I have never felt so in the zone and without a care in my life! I loved every second of it. Movement was especially gorgeous live. Both De Selby's were amazing. Jackie and Wilson had me bopping my head. Same with To Be Alone. The only song im sad i didnt hear was Icarion since I saw somewhere else on this sub that the song sounded amazing live. Either way, 11/10 show.

One thing that I really enjoy when getting into stories is coming up with song compilations/playlists that remind of the work, the characters, and/or the ship (which I guess could be considered "fanwork" in some respect? But I was also considering the "appreciation" flair as well. Please let me know which is more fitting!). Estoy intentando hacer un programa de votaciones para mi colegio en Visual Studio 2022 usando Visual Basic, la idea es que el estudiante ponga su ID, elija un RadioButton y esta información se envíe a una base de datos en Access que tengo en otro formulario.

Contexto, estoy de novia con un chico de mi ciudad y él vive al lado de una mujer mayor que se llama Mercedes. Ustedes dirán ¿Por qué habla con Mercedes si es una vecina más? Bueno, en realidad viven en una casa que en su momento fue dividida y ella compró una parte, o sea, el balcón de esta mujer da al patio y la entrada está entre la entrada principal y el garaje de mi novio. En pocas palabras están en contacto.
Bueno, resulta que la mujer esta ayer lo vió a mi novio, se saludaron, pregunta que va pregunta que viene mi novio dice "no, porque estaba con mi novia"
la vieja le pregunta sorprendida "ahh! Te pusiste de novio?"
y él le dice "Si Mercedes, la chica con la que me has visto los últimos días"
y la vieja re contra re estúpida dice "ah sí, es bastante fierita la verdad"
Ahora mi pregunta... Qué se hace en estas situaciones? Qué le habrían contestado?? Porque a la vieja chota está la voy a tener que seguir viendo, seguir saludando y todo el show pero yo tengo unas ganas de que se asfixie con gas butano o que se caiga y la atropelle un camión.
Sé que no soy la octava maravilla del mundo pero no podés ser tan desubicada de decir algo así... Capaz la estoy re viviendo pero ojalá la pise un tren a la vieja chota.

Olá a todos, como estão?
Bom, seguinte, estou no terceiro ano do ensino médio e tenho um trabalho de sociologia onde, em resumo, preciso falar sobre o meio ambiente de alguma forma que prenda meu público no assunto. Meu grupo escolheu fazer isso de uma forma video/música, show! Porém estamos com um problema, não sabemos quais músicas colocar para prender a atenção.
Enfim, preciso da recomendação dos senhores de músicas sobre o meio ambiente, de preferência, RAP, algo como "Brasil em chamas" do Fábio Brazza.

I don't know what to do anymore. I really don't. I'm typing this while sitting in the back of a classroom. I'm failing all my classes because I can't even muster the energy to show up, or even the energy to sit down and do my work. I don't know why I can't just do what every other student does, why does it come so easily to them and not me? How do they do it? How do they keep moving forward?
I've been sick for a really long time. I've missed countless weeks of school, been to countless doctors trying to find out what the heck is wrong with me, my parents are spending thousands of dollars on what might be a lost cause. They're exhausted, and disappointed. I know it. They wouldn't be so stressed out if it weren't for me. But if I were dead they would blame themselves and things would get even worse and I'm just....at a loss. And so, so tired. I can't get anything done. I can barely get out of bed in the mornings. I'm starting to question what the point of my existence even is. Everything hurts and I just...I wish it would stop. I'm so tired.

Bueno, primero que nada está es una idea inicial, así que iré cambiando o agregando cosas según me convenga o toque
Primero que todo planeo crearme un canal de YouTube (no me voy a promocionar acá ni nada, no pregunten) aunque me falta hasta aprender edición xd
Luego de eso y con la plata reunida iré aprendiendo programacion, como no se un culo empezaré con scratch, y mi lenguaje predeterminado sería javascript
Después aprenderé inglés y me reuniré con una amiga que esta en usa (no planeo ir al mismo país donde un gringo te llame latínx si no eres mexicano) y la convencere de regresar a colombia (la parte más complicada) con la plata del canal y de un proyecto que estamos haciendo nos compramos una casa allá (están en 20-30 millones por lo que he visto) y a enseñar programación mientras hacemos proyectos
