Noah glanced at Mark and was surprised to see that he had an almost pleading look in his eyes.
“You’re fine with this?” He asked Mark dubiously. He still couldn’t believe that Mark of all people would approve of feeding the humanoid bodies of the orcs to the pigs.
“I don’t see anything wrong with it. They tried to kill us so I say let’s put their bodies to good use.” Mark looked at the orc corpses with a thoughtful look on his face. “Besides, there’s probably a reason why we can sell them in the shop in the first place. Feeding them to animals probably isn’t the only use for them.”
“Fair point. Hmmm,” Noah looked in Talal’s direction and asked, “What does eating invader corpses do to animals anyway?”
“Well you see, most invaders come from worlds where mana has been the norm for thousands if not, millions of years. This means that their bodies have evolved to contain and use mana in the most efficient way possible.” Talal pointed at the piglets and said “Most animals on worlds like ours, on the other hand, have evolved and changed to the point that they can barely use mana if not for the system giving them skills.”
“So you mean that eating the invaders’ bodies improves their control of mana in some way?” Noah tilted his head to the left and glanced at the orcs again “Then does that work on humans too?”
“No, not really” Talal chuckled “For one simple reason, humans already evolved to manipulate mana efficiently thousands of years ago. Remember that notification at the start of the apocalypse? It said that the planetary mana core was dormant.”
It finally clicked for Noah “Wait, so is that why creatures like you exist? Because magic used to exist on Earth?”
“Ding ding ding! You got it!” Talal smiled and suddenly morphed into his original form but shrunk down to the size of a sparrow. He then flew around then landed on Noah’s shoulder “We used to rule the Earth before the mana core was forced into hibernation by the invaders. That’s what they do before they invade you see, they take the mana away and wait for the natives to weaken. Weaken to the point that sending their weakest forces will be enough to conquer the target world.”
“Why didn’t you guys just leave?” Noah looked at the bird on his shoulder that was speaking into their minds.
Oh, a lot of us did. The only ones left behind now are the weakest and youngest ones who were unable to travel through space. We had to use our mana sparingly since we couldn’t replenish it. That’s why most of us have human forms. So we could blend in with you and not have to keep on using mana just to exist.” Talal kept on preening himself while talking
It was at this point that Mark put down the piglets he had in both hands and interjected “But wait, how do humans fit into the whole ancient magic society thing?”
“Some of you were actually as strong as us, but for the most part, you were our servants.” Talal stopped to look at the two humans trying to gauge their reactions to that information but saw that they were more nonplussed than anything. “There are still some who want to go back to the old ways of us ruling and you humans serving us but they’re the minority. Most of us just want to be left alone while we grow in power now that mana is back.”
“I… I’m not quite sure how to react to that. Imagining a creature as strong as you wanting to make humans their slaves… it’s a scary thought.” Mark trembled as he thought about the new information
“Which is why we need to get stronger!” Noah said with renewed determination as he abruptly stood up. “Enough with the history lesson, it all boils down to us getting stronger anyway. Strong enough that we can kill those invaders before they kill us and strong enough that we won’t be made into slaves by anyone, no matter the species!”
Mark just smiled. “You’re right again! But first, let’s see what we’ve gained from those orcs.”
Noah brought out all the orc gear they’d gathered today. In total, there were twelve sets of armor and axes. There were also three sets of bows and arrows that came from the archers.
They decided to sell the twelve sets of armor and all the axes for a total of ninety-six mana stones. With the one hundred and twenty mana stones they got from the quest, it all came to a total of two hundred and sixteen mana stones. Add to that their rewards for earlier in the day, they had three hundred and ninety-eight mana stones to spend.
“We might be a bit rich,” Noah remarked while gawking at the number on his screen.
Talal scoffed and said “Relative to the people on Earth maybe, but you’re piss-poor everywhere else”
Noah visibly deflated at that but perked up again when he realized they could still buy a lot with the money they had now. “What do we buy with all this money though?”
Mark had a thoughtful look on his face “Maybe a better wand for you? You didn’t even get to use the one you bought last time because it’s too weak.”
“But they’re so expensive. I don’t think it’s worth it to buy tier-one wands. Maybe when we have enough to buy tier 2 wands or staffs I’ll consider it.”
Mark shrugged “If you say so. Now, let’s get to the juicy stuff, the level-ups.”
With that, Noah checked out his notifications. There were the kill notifications for the twenty-two orcs they’d killed today and the level-ups for his new spells. Then he swiped up to the ones that mattered most

Noah excitedly checked out the Titles window as he remembered that he got a legendary title in the beginning of the apocalypse. He wondered if he somehow had more considering that he made his own spells.

Noah couldn’t believe his eyes. He hurriedly checked the shop for an information packet on subclasses and found out that you can only get one at level one hundred. Getting one at level ten would allow him to level it up much earlier than everybody else. He immediately selected yes and a couple of options appeared.

“The system really wants me to specialize huh. Hmmm… Nah. I’ll double down on being a generalist. The versatility is just too helpful to pass up on.”
Noah selected [Child of Mana] and like when he first got his class, his mind was flooded with information about it, though, to a much lesser degree. His head still ached but that took a backseat to his excitement of having more status points. After all, more status points meant more mana and more mana meant more damage. He then checked his status.

Noah was flabbergasted at the amount of status points he could spend. “That’s eighty-four more points in mana if I choose to put it all into intelligence. Hmmm… No, I need regeneration too if I want to eradicate the orcs faster.” So, he put fifteen points into regeneration and put the rest into intelligence bringing his total mana pool to a respectable two hundred and thirty-eight points.
While Noah was distributing his stat points, he noticed out of the corner of his eye that the room they were in was unnaturally bright. He looked over to the source of the light and was surprised to find out that it was Mark, he was glowing a holy light. A few seconds later the light dimmed and winked out leaving a smiling Mark behind.
“What was up with that light?” Noah asked
“Oh, I got a title for going a different route than intended for my class and got to upgrade my class.” Mark’s smile grew wider while looking at his new class.
Nature’s Paladin(EPIC)
Because he didn’t end up picking a God to serve as a paladin, he ended up as a paladin of nature because of his connection with the piglets. It was kind of like a druid but focused more on combat. He kept his healing skills and finally gained skills geared for close-quarters combat that would make use of his increasing pool of stamina. He even gained skills related to animals and gaining their trust. He was happy most of all because he would be more capable as a frontline fighter. He’d been feeling lately that Noah had been leaving him behind.
“So, what class did you get? And what rarity? And how many status points per level” Noah grilled Mark for details but Mark kept a tight lip.
“You’ll find out tomorrow when we hunt some orcs. All I’m going to tell you is that I get ten points per level.”
“What?! That’s better than my class?!”
“Yeah, but it’s just by one point. And don’t tell me you didn’t get anything good from reaching level ten because I remember you telling me about that legendary title you got from getting that pseudo-planet.” Mark scoffed and said
“Oh, you know hehe.” Noah giggled like a gossiping schoolgirl and continued “I got a subclass and you can only normally get one at level one hundred!”
Mark looked at his cousin and couldn’t help but sigh “Why am I not surprised” he shook his head and sighed again. “Okay tell me about it tomorrow, it’s getting late and I want to sleep.” Mark got up and looked at his cousin again “Just when I thought I was catching up…”
Noah got up from his seat with Talal still on his shoulder and started walking out of the Boars’ room with Mark when he noticed that the bell icon in the corner of his vision was still ringing. He mentally pressed it and was stunned at what came out.
Level 10 reached! Unlocked Pseudo-Planet basic functions!
He stopped walking and couldn't help but exclaim "HOLY SHIT!"

The following is my current build geared towards tanking, with a focus on evasion and dagger use. Understand this is not meant to be the most optimal tanking build, and is instead a fun and challenging means I have found of achieving the same objectives as a tank would require, while also having the combat flow and attack patterns of a rogue.
For starters, what is an evasion tank? As the title would describe, it's simply a style of tanking that emphasizes dodging over blocking to mitigate damage, while still maintaining the attention of the enemies so your group can take them down. The benefit of dodging is it typically opens up your enemies to exploitable backstab opportunities that you can take advantage of.
To begin with, let's discuss the armor, stats, and skills that establish the foundation of this build.

Now I will go through what the key skills are and how they work for this playstyle. I will first address what will likely be the most contentious ability, Merciless Attack, and damage return aside, the point for this ability for me is simply because it's the only real way to get any sort of I-frame advantage in combat. When you break an enemy's guard and engage a Merciless Attack, most of the enemies won't engage you while this animation plays through. Your group is also now free to hit the group of mobs around you.
Parry power and Opportunity are both good to have, as they augment skills you will already be using, but they give access to Backstab Damage which, combined with Backstab Mastery are where this build is going to start coming together. Grab the early Dex passives, then follow the Ranger tree to the end for Ranger. This path has two purposes, the first of which is to give us some dexterity to support the dagger use, but then also endurance and stamina regen as well as a 5% bonus to crit chance/damage. Finally, this pathway helps fill in an element of range for those pesky fliers and archers. (Side note, as a tank, I typically keep a bow on me with flare arrows and a stock of 200 iron arrows just in case. The Flare Arrows can help not only light a way forward but also help a lost ally find their way to you)
Updraft is more utility-based and there for use out in the open world, however, Counterstrike is something I feel every good tank should have. This leads into Jump Attack II which I have seen come in very handy with a good 2-hander. Similarly to Evasion Attack, it is a block breaker so it will help set you up for those useful Merciless Attacks. Next, we take Shickwave and Bash. These abilities scale off of our strength so in addition to boosting our Jump Attack damage, we now have added stun bar increase and damage from parry scaled from strength.
Lastly Nemesis for threat generation, Tower and Warden for damage mitigation, and Battle Heal for passive combat healing. For the weapon path, I go for slashing and piercing as I focus on daggers as my main weapon and the 2-hand axe as my sub/AoE weapon. This will also give you access to Veteran and the Warrior's Path, both melee damage and crit change by 10%.
Now let's move on to gear and weapon preference. Here I lean towards the daggers for single target and 2-handed axes for AoE damage. Utilizing dodge mechanics can set up backstabbing attacks when in lock-on. For gear I currently use the Radiant Paladin helmet for the crit chance bonus. This helps keep Battle Heal proccing. The Soldier Breastplate for stamina and health, the Assassin gloves for added backstab and dagger damage, the Warden Trousers for damage mitigation and health, and finally the Radiant Paladin Boots for health regen.
Finally, Dodge vs Blink: Here is where I could potentially see this build diverging as there are arguments to be made for both regular Dodge and Blink. The first for me, being Dodge is superior for setting up reliable backstabs, as when locked on and engaged in a side roll, your character will roll around to orient you facing their back. However, the flip side is that Emergency Blink can get you out of bad situations where you ate a block you shouldn't have and now have an unlucky incoming tank buster from a boss and you need to dodge. Emergency Blink will break a stunned state and allow you to dodge. In the current state of the Hollows since I don't use Nemesis there, I would suggest working in Emergency Blink.
Footnotes: I plan to revisit the Life leech Rings since the attack speed of the daggers might very well make them viable for survivability. Also please be aware this is not a solo build While I did test some of the damage and crit-based healing in a solo setting, most of the real stress testing came with running this with a group of at least three other players. If anyone would like a video tutorial, showcasing how this build works within a group setting I would be happy to put something together.

2024.06.09 08:58 DinnertimeNinja Le Monarque appears to have bugged Transcendence generation.

I noticed while running a combo of Le Monarque/The Call on Prismatic, I was always quickly maxing my Dark side meter before I got hardly anything into the light side.
After some testing I noticed that perfectly drawn shots with Le Monarque either weren't generating any Transcendence meter at all or were just rarely generating a little bit. However, if you hit with partially drawn shots or overcharged (arrow held past perfect draw time) shots you gain energy like normal. I tried some legendary bows and all the other exotic bows to see if this was a weapon-wide issue but it doesn't seem to be a problem on any other bow.
I think there's something with the coding of the perfect draw shot that isn't registering as void damage. I've noticed similar wonky-ness in a few other situations like crucible kills not counting towards void kill bounties and volatile with Gyrfalcons not proc-ing as consistently as with other void guns.
Anyone else having this problem?

You expect me to believe Jesus was born of a virgin impregnated by a ghost? Do you believe all the crazy tales of ancient religions? Julius Caesar was reportedly born of a virgin; Roman historian Seutonius said Augustus bodily rose to heaven when he died; and Buddha was supposedly born speaking. You don’t believe all that, do you? I find it incredible that you ask me to believe that the earth was created in six literal days; women come from a man’s rib; a snake, a donkey, and a burning bush spoke human language; the entire world was flooded, covering the mountains to drown evil; all animal species, millions of them, rode on one boat; language variations stem from the tower of Babel; Moses had a magic wand; the Nile turned to blood; a stick turned into a snake; witches, wizards, and sorcerers really exist; food rained from the sky for 40 years; people were cured by the sight of a brass serpent; the sun stood still to help Joshua win a battle, and it went backward for King Hezekiah; men survived unaided in a fiery furnace; a detached hand floated in the air and wrote on a wall; men followed a star which directed them to a particular house; Jesus walked on water unaided; fish and bread magically multiplied to feed the hungry; water instantly turned into wine; mental illness is caused by demons; a “devil” with wings exists who causes evil; people were healed by stepping into a pool agitated by angels; disembodied voiced spoke from the sky; Jesus vanished and later materialized from thin air; people were healed by Peter’s shadow; angels broke people out of jail; a fiery lake of eternal torment awaits unbelievers under the earth … while there is life-after-death in a city which is 1,500 miles cubed, with mansions and food, for Christians only.
If you believe these stories, then you are the one with the problem, not me. These myths violate natural law, contradict science, and fail to correspond with reality or logic. If you can’t see that, then you can’t separate truth from fantasy. It doesn’t matter how many people accept delusions inflicted by “holy” men; a widely held lie is still a lie. If you are so gullible, then you are like the child who believes the older brother who says there is a monster in the hallway. But there is nothing to be afraid of; go turn on the light and look for yourself.
If Christianity were simply untrue I would not be too concerned. Santa is untrue, but it is a harmless myth which people outgrow. But Christianity, besides being false, is also abhorrent. It amazes me that you claim to love the god of the bible, a hateful, arrogant, sexist, cruel being who can’t tolerate criticism. I would not want to live in the same neighborhood with such a creature!
The biblical god is a macho male warrior. Though he said “Thou shalt not kill,” he ordered death for all opposition, wholesale drowning and mass exterminations; punishes offspring to the fourth generation (Ex. 20:5); ordered pregnant women and children to be ripped up (Hos. 13:16); demands animal and human blood to appease his angry vanity; is partial to one race of people; judges women to be inferior to men; is a sadist who created a hell to torture unbelievers; created evil (Is. 45:7); discriminated against the handicapped (Lev. 21:18-23); ordered virgins to be kept as spoils of war (Num. 31:15-18, Deut. 21:11-14); spread dung on people’s faces (Mal. 2:3); sent bears to devour 42 children who teased a prophet (II Kings 2:23-24); punishes people with snakes, dogs, dragons, drunkenness, swords, arrows, axes, fire, famine, and infanticide; and said fathers should eat their sons (Ez. 5:10). Is that nice? Would you want to live next door to such a person?
And Jesus is a chip off the old block. He said, “I and my father are one,” and he upheld “every jot and tittle” of the Old Testament law. Mt. 5:18 He preached the same old judgment: vengeance and death, wrath and distress, hell and torture for all nonconformists. He believed in demons, angels and spirits. He never denounced the subjugation of slaves or women. Women were excluded as disciples and as guests at his heavenly table. Except for hell he introduced nothing new to ethics or philosophy. He was disrespectful of his mother and brothers; he said we should hate our parents and desert our families. Mt. 10:35-36, Lk. 14:26 (So much for “Christian family life.”) He denounced anger, but was often angry himself. Mt. 5:22, Mk. 3:5 He called people “fools” (Mt. 23:17,19), “serpents,” and “white sepulchers,” though he warned that such language puts you in danger of hellfire. Mt. 5:22 He said “Think not that I am come to send peace on earth. I came not to send peace, but a sword.” Mt. 10:34 (So much for “Peace on Earth.”) He irrationally cursed and withered a fig tree for being barren out of season. Mt. 21:19 He mandated burning unbelievers. Jn. 15:6 (The Church has complied with relish.) He stole a horse. Lk. 19:30-33 He told people to cut off hands, feet, eyes and sexual organs. Mt. 5:29-30, 19:12 You want me to accept Jesus, but I think I’ll pick my own friend, thank you.
One of Jesus’s many contradictions was saying good works should be seen, and not seen. Mt. 5:16, 6:1-4 One of his mistakes was saying that the mustard plant has the smallest seed. Mt. 13:31-32 The writers of Matthew and Luke could not even get his genealogy straight, contradicting the Old Testament, and giving Jesus two discrepant lines through Joseph, his non-father!
I also find Christianity to be morally repugnant. The concepts of original sin, depravity, substitutionary forgiveness, intolerance, eternal punishment, and humble worship are all beneath the dignity of intelligent human beings and conflict with the values of kindness and reason. They are barbaric ideas for primitive cultures cowering in fear and ignorance.
Finally, Christianity is harmful. More people have been killed in the name of a god than for any other reason. The Church has a shameful, bloody history of Crusades, Inquisitions, witch-burnings, heresy trials, American colonial intolerance, disrespect of indigenous traditions (such as American Indians), support of slavery, and oppression of women. Modern “fruits” of religion include the Jonestown massacre, the callous fraud of “faith healers,” recent wars and ethnic cleansing, and fighting in Northern Ireland. Religion also poses a danger to mental health, damaging self-respect, personal responsibility, and clarity of thought.
Do you see why I do not respect the biblical message? It is an insulting bag of nonsense. You have every right to torment yourself with such insanity — but leave me out of it. I have better things to do with my life.

2024.06.08 22:41 exitof99 Preview images disappear and are not saved!

This is infuriating. The "Free Preview" generates images, which do exist on the server, but are not added to your assets.
I spend a couple hours generating images, some that I wanted to come back to, but the tab was eating up over 3 GB of memory. When I tried to go back to it, all those previews were gone.
There isn't even an option to save them after they are generated!
What a waste.
The only way I see to save these is to save them from the Developer Tools:
F12 -> Application tab -> On left, scroll down to Frames -> Expand "top" -> Expand "frame.jpg" -> Click each image -> Drag image from preview to a folder -> Rename from "download.jpg" to something else
Okay, if you haven't closed your browser session, and are using Chrome, then you can recover the images by immediately copying this folder somewhere safe:
C:\Users\[Your Account]\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Cache\Cache_Data
Then use a script to rename all files in the folder to have ".jpg" at the end. View by thumbnails and grab the ones that are actual images.
If you don't have any scripting experience, then you can repetitively copy and paste ".jpg" to the end of each file by this keystroke cycle: (F2 once!), Right-Arrow, Ctrl-V, Tab, repeat…
I was able to get my precious generated images this way!

I originally came across this term in Open Music Theory.
Their definition:
“The process of becoming is an analytical phenomenon that captures an in-time, analytical reinterpretation regarding a formal/phrasal unit's function, abbreviated with a rightward double arrow symbol (⇒). Examples include primary theme ⇒ transition, continuation ⇒ cadential, or suffix ⇒ transition."
I've also seen it described as elision, or blurring the lines of form, so that endings become beginnings.
I found that it derives from Janet Schmalfeldt’s book, "In the Process of Becoming: Analytic and Philosophical Perspectives on Form in Early Nineteenth-Century Music", which was influenced by Dahlhaus. Apparently the theory was developed to understand Beethoven and Schubert.
I think I’ve been able to incorporate this in my own music with Expansion (seeming to resolve downward at the end of a phrase, but then abruptly leaping up after hitting home, and then using that as a new motif).
But I would love a comprehensive list of techniques to help achieve this effect, and examples of pieces that use it. I plan to get Schmalfeldt’s book but I’m already working on two other books at the moment (Emotion and Meaning in Music by Leonard B Meyer and The Romantic Generation by Charles Rosen).
Does anyone have notes on it, or know of a good online resource to learn more about it?

Following the saying "A Problem Well-Stated Is a Problem Half-Solved" I need help formulating the gamedesign problem properly :D
So, let's imagine we have a survival game with a semi-infinite (huge, not meant to be fully explored) procedurally generated open world with semi-randomly generated loot according to the loot rarity or other game peculiarities. Now, one of the features I love in survival games is that "you never have enough" which forces you to explore more (scarcity of loot).
But here comes the problem: in a semi-infinite world, at some point player will always have more than enough, no matter how rare the resource is. Achieved through grind. However, if the resource is way too rare, finding it is just a matter of "doing the grind longer" which instead of rewarding experience creates a boring repetitive, just go go go go go until you find it.
I have a few ideas, but unfortunately none of those solve the root of the problem:
  1. Resources are unique (i.e. there are 12 magical crystals in the infinite world, no more). They can be found along the storyline by following permanent hints. I'll definitely use this solution for upgrade tree, but unique and "scarce" are different concepts, they create different feelings for the Player.
  2. Resources are bound to exploration patterns. E.g. Player knows that magic crystals can grow in swamps. So not just goes randomly looking for them all over the map, but knows and is guided where to go. However, as map is infinite - there is an infinite amount of swamps, and therefore a grindy-minded player (like me) will waste time collecting 100 magical crystals (just to not worry about not having enough of them again), while actually needs only 12 for meaningful craft.
  3. Price (tax) for exploration. I.e. the resources themselves are used for further exploration (like petroleum for the vehicle or arrows to kill monsters), so the N of resources / area explored ratio is roughly constant. First of all I personally don't like this kind of things, second, it's a dangerous mechanics to introduce in a procedurally generated world as it may result in soft-locks. E.g. even if we generate the world in such a way that the Player is supposed to gather enough resources to keep up the sustainable exploration - we cannot guarantee that the Player will actually follow the logic without yellow-painting it. E.g. the Player may explore the deserts (because likes those, or grinds for other resource there) but avoid swamps and not get magic crystals - until it's too late and not enough magic crystals to explore the swamps to get more of those. Creating rock-paper-scissors resources interdependency only complicates the problem but doesn't solve it.
  4. Limit amount of resources that can be collected (by limited strage capacity or resource expiration). I personally don't like this mechanics. Feels really unrewarding "I've found a super-rare magic crystal, but can't pick it up because I already have 4 of those and I can't carry more simultaneously".
  5. Infinite resource sink. I.e. to get a "good enough upgrade" (aimed at a regular player) one needs to collect 12 magic crystals. But collecting 24 more will increase the upgrade quality by 5% - not enough to break the game balance, but enough to be noticed. Gathering another 48 magic crystals gives 5% more... and so on. Like RPG leveling system, with an exponentically growing curve but always providing some small but noticeable benefit to reward grindy players. May result in makin the game easier for the players who spend more time in the game and subconsciously actually want the game harder and longer instead :D Also eventually will also run out of purpose - if collecting 12 crystals takes 2 in-game hours, collecting 1200 - will take 200 hours of grind and techncially equals to "next level upgrade just doesn't exist", we'll get there sooner or later. Rewarding players works with new content - but the map is infinite the amount of content cannot be infinite, obviously :)
  6. Rubberbanding. The more magic crystals you have - the less they spawn in the world. Many players, including me really hate this mechanic :) "The more effort you put into the game - the worse is the result".
  7. Risk-locking. E.g. obtaining the resource is linked to a permaent risk of losing more, i.e. discouraging the Player from getting more than needed. E.g. by locking the resource behind a powerful boss enemy which is a challenge even for an advanced player. Same as rubberbanding - nobody wants to die to a "1" roll on 1d20. Also newbie (who is trying to get the first magic crystal) is more likely to fall for bad random than an experienced player (who is grinding the 100th one).
In other words, I perfectly understand that I'm trying to merge mutually excluding concepts. And I'm perfectly aware that I make a logical error while struggling to formulate the problem above.
So, what I'm trying to achieve - the feeling of "never enough" of some resource. My favorite parft of survival games is the beginning - when you don't have enough of anything :) So I want to prolong this onto the most of the gameplay duration despite the map being infinite and therefore the presence of the resource being roughly unlimited - without adding the amount of content into the game that is definitely above a solo hobby developer capacity.
So, I wonder if you have some ideas on the issue? Have seen a game where it was done well? Or maybe also have some half-formulated point to think about and maybe it will push to a "revelation"? :)

Enable SSH

  3. Click Terminal

Install Docker

  1. Log into the desktop of the NAS (https://:9443)
  2. Launch App Center
  3. Click install next to Docker
  4. You will be prompted for where to place Docker. I would recommend either your only volume or your fastest volume.

Add the Plex Image

  1. Click the Image button on the left of the screen
  2. Click Image Database on the top
  3. Type Plex in the Search bar
  4. Find plexinc/pms-docker (documentation and information here https://github.com/plexinc/pms-docker)
  5. Click the download button on the right (looks like a down arrow into a box and only shows when your mouse is over the bar that makes up the listing)
  6. Choose the latest image
  7. After the download is complete, click Container on the left

  3. Add the directories from your NAS that hold your media. You can name the directory however you like. I used /media/movies and /media/tv for mine.

This is up to you. I've setup the Plex docker either with Bridging or Host network mode. I will cover both. For ease of use, Host network mode is the best choice.

Known Issues

If you have multiple interfaces enabled on different subnets, UGREEN currently doesn't allow you to not set a default gateway. This can cause problems with downloading or claiming the Plex server. Please make sure you have a single interface enabled and unplug the other one. I have had issues communicating with the Plex server after adding the interface back later on. I don't see a way to limit the container to a specific interface so it will be available on all interfaces.
I hope UGREEN will allow us to disable network interfaces for Docker at some point, but currently this isn't the case. I have no idea if this affects network bridging situations.

In his hand is a massive sword, that, before the horrified eyes of the mortals in the room, sprouts flames. A splash of slimy goop erupts from pustules on the demon’s arms, spraying the room with an acid that eats away clothes and splotches armor. A cry of terror, then a casual backhand by the demon sends one of the gnolls flying across the room to slam into the stone wall. He leaves a bloody trail down the wall as he crumples to the floor. Zander, a handy target, is slashed with the huge flaming sword.

Novos, seeing all this, somersaults over several gnolls to stab the demon, and unleash a spray of acid from his Drakeblade [1]. This hurts the demon and he howls in pain and anger. The priests are hard pressed to keep healing up, but Mar manages to manifest her Spiritual Weapon that baps the demon. Before he can strike back, Novos nimbly makes his way through the crowd to the other side of the room.
The demon instead causes the whole chamber to shake and quake, knocking many to the ground and breaking off chunks from the ceiling to rain down on the unlucky. Again, he swats Zander, misses Arthur, and rains blows down on one of the unfortunate gnolls in front of him who has fallen to the ground. Nobody has the time to observe basic mosh pit etiquette [2]. Ser Reginald is the target of a tail slap. Arthur, seeing that his sword was useless, pulls out a scroll and reads a spell that isn’t useless. Zander tries a shield slam, but because the demon is MANY times larger than he is, it doesn’t do much. Ser Reginald manages to duck the tail and smite the demon, and one of the gnolls is likewise able to get in a blow. For a moment the demon seems … vulnerable. Dillium maintains her healing spell, but she notes that an anti-healing spell was employed, probably by Mar. She mentally makes a note to talk with her about that. Novos swoops in and delivers a debilitating blow to the demon’s back.
The room fills with a thick fog that baffles the senses and makes getting around extra difficult. The demon, of course, has no problems with the fog, finally smacking Arthur and Zander, and back-handing a gnoll. Ser Reginald’s smite seems to do no damage at all, but Arthur pulls out his divine mace and Zander goes back to slicing the demon with his sword. Gnoll attacks seem to hit home, but it is Felicity’s totally wand-based lightning bolt that finally finishes him off. As the sword falls out of his hands, the fire on the blade goes out.
Mar turns on the gnolls, and several of the gnolls are ready to resume combat with the party, but the gnoll shaman and Ser Reginald see each other with a new respect. As they speak, calming tempers, Arthur borrows Dillium’s cloak to pick up the sword because his is too white. Or something. Later he transfers the sword to an old blanket and returns her cloak to her.
Not quite arm in arm, the nevertheless united party makes their way out of the tomb, though Mar stands back away from everyone, particularly the gnolls. The trek back to Samek is as long as the journey to the tomb, but Ser Reginald and Raa’ka, with occasional mediation by Felicity, seem to make progress. At least, nobody is called evil or accused of eating anyone’s babies. When they reach Samek, Ser Reginald has some heated words with the guards, but eventually Dillium, Felicity, and Raa’ka are permitted to be escorted by Ser Reginald and a group of rather more-heavily-armed-than-really-necessary gnomes inside. Outside, Task Force Chimera settles in for the night, while the gnolls, whether because they are nervous this close to the gnome town or because they have their own errands, slip off into the night one by one. The night otherwise passes uneventfully, though Arthur is astute enough to not let Mar have a shift by herself.
Late in the morning, the door opens and a clearly exhausted Dillium and Felicity emerge with Raa’ka. The gnoll gives a farewell wave and disappears into the brush a few minutes before Warren, the guide, returns.
“Where are you off to now?” he asks.
“Actually I have a job for you,” says a new voice. Everyone whirls around to see a large coppery-colored dragon head poke up over the top of the hill. It is soon followed by the rest of the coppery-colored dragon as it steps up and settles down on top of the hill. “Warren,” the dragon acknowledges the guide with a nod.
“T’aint my name.” he responds.
“I know.” A dragonish chuckle escapes his mouth.
“Do you know him?” Zander asks Warren.
“Never seed him before now,” he responds.
“But clearly he knows you,” Dillium protests.
“I know many things, actually. I have taken it upon myself to sort of… watch over this valley.” The dragon says. “Actually, I’m thinking of calling it a gnalley.” There’s no response. “You know, a gnalley, because of the gnomes and the gnolls?” Under his breath, he adds, “It’s always funnier when you have to explain the joke.”
“Do you have a name?” Arthur asks, trying (perhaps) to be polite.
“Of course I do, and I’ll give five coins to the one of you who guesses it.”
“Clearly a pointless exercise. I shall call you Max,” says Atticus.
“Max is typically a name humans give to males of the species. How do you know I am male?”
“I know not, but in the event you turn out to be female, I can simply refer to you as Maxine.”
“That is not my name either. And I permit you no more guesses.” The dragon says petulantly. His, or its, tail swings back and forth, giving away his (or its) irritation.
“It is well. Good morning to you, Max.” Atticus bows deeply.
“You may call me Izzy, for that is as close as your crude language will permit,” the dragon snaps back.
“Very well. Good morning to you, Izzy.” Atticus remains bowed.
This seems to mollify the dragon somewhat. To the guide, he says, “Do you know of the path that runs up to the Jagged Mountain, as it passes by the tomb of Kazzlezan that you just opened?” After waiting for a nod of acknowledging nod, Izzy continues. “I want you to venture up that path to the top and … do whatever you find that needs doing.”
“Such as what, exactly?” Felicity asks.
“What am I, a guide to tell you what you should put right? You are sentient beings, work it out.” With that, the dragon leaps straight up. His wings catch the air, and he flies off to the north.
Warren looks at Felicity, shrugs, and heads back in the direction they came from the day before. The party breaks camp, saddles up, and catches up to the guide (who had been waiting just out of sight).
The party can clearly see where they’ve trampled the grass and left tracks in the dirt from their previous trek, so they make good time back to the tomb. Warren leads them around the tomb on a small barely visible trail that heads higher into the hills. By afternoon, they are clearly climbing up a tall hill that leads to what can be accurately described as a “jagged mountain.” Warren calls a halt at a conveniently wide spot that is more or less flat and level. “They say the dwarfs used to stop here for the night,” he explains unnecessarily.
The pavillionsol is set up and a few branches are gathered for a fire. “Do you hear that?” Mar asks. Nobody does, but she insists that there is something. It sounds like a particular buzzing sound. Several of the party do hear it, now that she’s described it. “It sounds like vampire bees.” [3]
Pocky gives a snort of derision. “Vampires bite, but bees sting. You can’t fool me, Mar.”
“These bees make blood honey. They sting a creature to death, then instead of gathering nectar, they gather blood from the corpse to make their honey. They are nothing to simply ignore.” Pocky’s eyes grew wide.
“All right, it sounds like we have to find this hive and destroy it.” Arthur says. “Stay here and set up the camp. We’ll be back.”
After looking around, Novos finds a fairly well traveled trail hidden behind some bushes. Following the trail up through a few switch-backs, they come to a neglected “road” of laid stone. On one side the ground drops off in what appears to be a quarry filled with dark water with an oily sheen. On the other is the side of the mountain, and, a doorway. The rooms inside are empty, though that doesn’t stop Novos from searching for traps everywhere and trying to unlock doors that are unlocked. The floor has a damaged mosaic of an intricate design with no particular pattern, and the walls are adorned with faded frescos of dwarves doing mining stuff. Arthur, as he looks around, sees a secret door, and Novos spends some time finding that a hidden catch is cunningly placed inside a dwarf’s nose on the fresco. Novos and Arthur lead the way, though Novos is still very hampered by the fact he can’t see in the dark. Still, he finds a room, checks for traps, and unlocks the door. Inside is a room covered entirely by a strange metal. The walls glow faintly, providing some light, but there are otherwise no features at all. Without trying to figure out what the metal is or why it might cover every single inch, he invites Arthur and Dillium in to look around. Seeing nothing of interest, they leave.
Further down, the corridor comes to an abrupt end. A simple catch lets the party out into a new room. Signs of ancient chaos abound. The room is obviously dwarven, and obviously abandoned some time ago. Yet on the ground are three human-sized skeletons, each with a rusty knife near them. Dillium inspects them (“Don’t touch anything”, Arthur warns) and determines them to be cheaply made ceremonial-style knives. Novos, meanwhile, has inspected, unlocked, and opened two empty closets. Well, mostly empty. One closet has another rusty knife. Elsewhere in the room, a double-door stands ajar, barely held on by a single hinge. Peering in, Arthur notes a large rough circle on the ground and the remains of several candles placed around the room. Profane graffiti is smeared on the walls, possibly in blood, but more likely in some sort of paint. As everyone has a look around (“Don’t stand on the circle,” Arthur warns), they decide it was originally some attempt at a summoning circle, but there are too many breaks and smudges to tell what was summoned, if anything.
A mystery too mysterious to unravel, they team leave through the remaining door and are back out facing the quarry-pit. Questions are asked aloud as the group tries to grapple with what is going on. Arthur surmises that the dwarven work and the deterioration means the rooms they’ve seen so far are probably a millennium or more old, and probably abandoned nearly that long. The skeletons are not nearly that old. Dillium abruptly swats her arm, and holds out the smooshed body of a large wasp or bee. They look, but it doesn’t have fangs or a cape. Arthur offers to Lay Hands on her to cure her, but since nobody knows what to cure her of, that is abandoned.
Ahead of them, the group sees an ancient stone bridge. Several of the party are concerned at the rickety appearance of the bridge, but as there is nothing else for it, they agree to go across one at a time, with the lightest members first. Dillium, Flea, and Novos skip across, and there is some thought of sending a rope back for Zander and Arthur to tie off in case the bridge collapses. Zander asks, who is going to hold the end?
“We’ll hold this end, and you tie the other end around your waist,” Novos replies.
“OK, here, hand me your end…” as they both realize Zander has already crossed the bridge. Arthur confidently strides across after.
There is yet another door, and a room similar to the first room they encountered—frescos on the wall, (intact) mosaic on the floor, and some signs that someone was here at some point after the dwarves left. And nothing else. The room isn’t quite finished, though, and a passageway beyond leads to what was obviously a campsite and another room. This one has a single thing—a desk. With a drawer. And in the drawer is a red shiny faceted gemstone. Novos manages to wipe all the drool off of it before admitting that he can’t, for some reason, lift the gem out of the drawer. Arthur’s brute strength isn’t enough. Neither is Zander’s. Dillium decides that either this gem is a fundamental constant of the universe, around which all other things in the universe revolve, and therefore you can’t just pick it up and move it, or much more likely, it’s magically “glued” to the drawer. She and Arthur combine their powers to Dispel Magic and on a second try, the gem pops right into her hand. With literally nothing left to see, the party opens the door into the next room. As soon as they open the door, they hear the sound of bees. Lots of bees. Closing the door, the party stops to think what their next move is.

We left a discomfited Vada, Analisa, and Deahja in the prison parking lot with Mark surrounded by the vapid lackluster burlesque troupe of the Pussycat Dolls redux awash in 1950s eye makeup and 1970’s punk schoolgirl uniforms waiting for instructions. And true to stereotype, Mark snarks, “They’re kinda’ upset that the girls came but today is about me, right man”? Thank goodness for subtitles as I can’t read lips and his liquified words just dribble down his nose and surrender. Deahja, whom Mark admits is the daughter, “who real recognize real, man. She sees real in me,” asks the girls, “Are you here for the ride”? Well, hell yes. Dude is a popular guy. “What do you expect,” he queries and Analisa fires back with, “As long as you’re respectful, we’ll help. I’d like you to stay focused.” Mark’s snide smile is as tight as his braids. “You know how many times I’ve heard that? I’m good. His lips are playing with respectful phrases that will express his desire for her to lighten the fuck up so he just manages to sputter, “It’s just a lot. If you see me slipping, moving wrong, point it out, but until then . . . talking to Analisa like she’s his peer and not his elder - another sign of disrespect. “Pleeze stop, pleeze; you’re ruining today. I’m a grown man. I get it, all right,” as Mark’s shoulders slump in momentary defeat. “Keep saying what you’re saying. I’m not trying to transfer from one prison to another.” He sings the refrain, “It’s not a transfer; it’s a release.” Deahja steps in and demands an are-you-coming-or-going answer and it’s a draw as he leaves with the girls but joins them in the restaurant. He knows he’ll clash with Analisa, but he’ll “win every time.” Like eviction? He must be so much happier than the rest of us lacking critical thinking skills.
What if we were just grateful for everything we have today, Charlie Brown? (Like Bill who hid toilet paper and bacon from Mark and Sharna in Season 1). True to the adage that those who whine the loudest are usually the ones who contribute the least, Mark continues his sensitivity training when, being shown his new digs opines, “It stinks. It’s stale. It’s old. It’s not it and not where I plan to be,” the bedroom Obama bobblehead notwithstanding. He’s leaving to go enjoy himself, and if Analisa thinks that’s a problem, then “that’s the problem with thinking; sometimes, you think wrong,” he says ironically without turning that inward, and laughs in his hands as he concludes with, “You feel me"? He’s got 24 hours to tighten up his shit, but he’s young, horny, and free mistaking sawdust for glitter so he, of course, doesn’t return until the next morning with two bishes in tow who ask him if he’s worried about breaking curfew. “No, I’m the life of the party,” he breezes and dauntlessly asks Analisa if it’s cool that the girls can stay the night because there was a problem with the Airbnb. “Where will they sleep”? “Where I sleep at. In my bed. Where else”? He’s a multitasker easily juggling his focus on rebuilding his life while he’s playing playa playa from the Himalaya. “This generation is off the hook,” agree Vada and Analisa who is the dictator in this non-democratic house. “You didn’t say that over the phone,” Mark remonstrates. “But, you would’ve learned that last night if you were here,” snipes Analisa. "This is not a saloon and this is not a brothel and you’re a guest in my world.” That was the shot fired and all Mark could push back with was, “You’re buggin’ for real,” as he ushers the girls out whose parting shot is, ”Bye bye bitch,” proving that the only difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits, and while I don't quite understand the girls' particular brand of stupidity, I admire their commitment to it. Next week Mark will push those limits as he tries to play Vada against Analisa. Keep rolling your eyes; maybe, you’ll find a brain back there.

Wheelchair-bound Purple Rain Cyndi lives in a town of 62 people with a statute of a foot in the town square serving as a marker to the woman without a foot’s house. Daniel and Cathy are, perhaps, destined to become as disappointed with Deven as Vada and Analisa are with Mark, though Deven seems more innocently harmless than Mr. Entitlement. Deven’s wish to spend more time with his sister, Karisa, though I thought her young children restricted his stay there, obviated poor Daniel’s flight from Texas to Colorado. But, it might have been worth it just to see Deven undress and reveal the mural of his body ranging from tats saying, Got Milk, Mos Man, and Perfection to designs displaying the techniques of fresco, mosaic, graffiti, and marouflage that made it hard to distinguish where the art stopped and his nipples began, and were immediately reminiscent of Rod Steiger’s movie, ‘The Illustrated Man” where he plays a 1930s psychotic drifter who’s after the mystery woman who covered his whole body in illustrations that foresee the distant future. It might not be that hard to foresee Deven’s future based on his past mantra of Get high, Become a super stealth Ninja, Steal shit, Run from the Cops and Get shot at because it’s fun and even Cyndi Lauper wouldn’t resent “Boys Just Wanna’ Have Fun.” So Deven gets a pass and will have to drive himself to Texas in 72 hours and we already know that he will become as overheated as his car. Basically, there are these things found in every living being called atmanti sources, there are three types, mind atmanti, body atmanti, and soul atmanti, mind atmanti sources are found near the brain, body atmanti sources are found in near the gut, soul atmanti is found near the heart. Atmanti can manifest into different types of magic based on its type. Mind atmanti can manifest into elemental magic. Body atmanti can alow the user to change their body in some way. Soul atmanti alows the user to use spiritual based ability’s, making it the most rare type. Mind atmanti beats Body atmanti, Body atmanti beats, soul atmanti, soul atmanti beats mind atmanti. I also came up with a few ability’s for each category
Body: * Power Blades: Allows the user to summon swords from thin air, modify them to their will. They can also grow blades from open cuts and wounds, healing the injuries after the user is done with the blades, making them immune to dismemberment

Since recent banlist already implemented, it's time for us to claim our dust(s) base on rarity.
  1. King Calamity is now banned (from unlimited or 3 going to zero) so we need to change the regulation from 'Standard' (usual setting) to 'Unlimited' to display all banned cards in search filter which is already in MD database. (As seen in picture 1 type in the keyword).
  2. Then choose the desired card to be dismantle. In the second picture, you can see a green arrow and it goes like this 1/0/0. This means the number of cards you own in its finish type. Normal/Glossy/Royal. So from the example I only have 1 King Calamity and its only in Normal finish.
Please take note that regardless of rarity finish the dismantle bonus is always fixed.
Normal - no bonus Glossy - plus 5 material bonus Royal - plus 20 material bonus Recent banlist dismantle bonus - plus 20 material bonus (refer to picture 3 first underlined red font text on the number of cards applicable)
  1. Click the 'Dismantle' button and it will prompt you to another screen. You do not need to worry clicking since it won't dismantle right away. (Picture 2 reference)
  2. From here (as in picture 3) you will notice the red text depicting that subjected card is recently included on the banlist and since King Calamity is from 3 to zero, dismantle bonus of 20 material is applicable up to 3 times the card copy until July 11, 2024 only (take note of the deadline). So meaning if you have 1 normal / 1 glossy / 1 royal dismantling all would yield:
1 normal = 10 mats + 20 bonus mats = 30 mats 1 glossy = 10 mats + 20 bonus mats + 5 bonus mats = 35 mats 1 royal = 10 mats + 20 bonus mats + 20 bonus mats = 50 mats
Add them up = 30 + 35 + 50 = 115 material dust.
In my case I only have 1 copy of King Calamity and Normal finish only so I can only obtain 30 material dust refund.
  1. Lastly, click the Dismantle (picture 3) to claim your dust refund.
Tricks: since I only have 1 King Calamity, I can generate 2 copies of it hoping for a glossy or royal finish in order to have additional dismantling material bonus although this one is based purely on luck.
