Gsnap pitch correction tutorial

Believe is what we should Believe we shall be doing....

2024.05.21 19:54 ACHINTbsdk Believe is what we should Believe we shall be doing....

We have been in this situation many a times, Now read very carefully
Cummins knew this was 220+ pitch, that's why he picked to bat first, but the sheer luck of the team was not on our side, Head got ducked, Abhi got into an unfortunate catch, SAMAD FUCKED TRIPATHI, SANVIR BEING THE MOST IMPACTFUL PLAYER, SAMAD WORKING AS UNDERCOVER agent, Klassen.... well what to say guy risked the team just for four and the risk didn't paid. Cummins saved our status by taking us to 160. So in my opinion the decision of Cummins was correct but our batting lineup slatted on pitch badly. Batting- 4.89/10
Get this VV out and get markande in, this VV is super average bowler and wasting a valuable overseas seat, bro gave 11 runs per over, he completely shitted on the bowling attack, cummins conceded so many runs in his first over thus giving them much needed momentum! Bhuvi did controlled the first over relatively better then the others, and Nattu tried to clutch but was unsuccessful. The 2 reviews were taken in clear desperation and I need to say i was pretty satisfied by why the review was taken, 2 wickets could had fallen if simply a little luck was on our side, ig the ground of Ahmedabad itself hated cummins. Head bowled pretty satisfactory, and get these player out or i am gonna bomb Vettori and cummins - SANVIR, SAMAD, VV. Keep Nkr in place of klassen and keep 1 seat for overseas empty if we are batting first, and if upper half fails then get Philips in because he is an All rounder! OVERALL TEAM PERFORMANCE- 5.6/10, CAPTAINCY- 4.5/10, i wanted to give higher to captaincy but no results.
Guys we will lift the trophy dont worry, we will get into the finals and get the cup home, keep believing the team. Pls dont give up. My solution is to play aggressively no matter what..... This is what all i can say
MANY MANY MANYYY CONGRATULATIONS AND KUDDOS TO KKR FOR SUCH A BEAUTIFUL CLUTCH. CONGO ON REACHING FINAL!! HOPE WE TAKE OUR REVENGE IN FINAL!

2024.05.21 19:42 LauraBeezTheBlock Best practices for pitching podcast guests

i'm curious to learn how you've successfully pitched guests to be on your podcast? what worked? what didn't work? what did you learn? i plan to pitch a few executives, so brevity is critical. i think i need to address whats in it for them first, right? and then outline the commitment (30 minutes, 4-5 questions)... am I thinking about this correctly? What am i missing?

2024.05.21 19:39 VexedRacoon First time player

So I completed the tutorial, I cut some of my fields, I took a contract to harvest wheat, managed that with AI helping.
Decided to take another contract chasing the ££ and then realised I needed a new machine. Then I spend the next 3 days slowly collecting parsnips from my AI worker, I couldn't figure out a way for ME to drive the parsnip picker and have an AI collect it alongside me, is this correct that the only way is I had to follow to pick up the parsnips with my trailer?
This was very slow but I completed it. Decided to stick to combine because that clears the area much faster so I feel better driving that. Had two AI workers collecting but I had to stop and I can't work out how to get them to follow me.
Finished that and went back to my farm, big weeds all in my fields, one is allegedly growing canola but it isn't ready yet, not sure if I should use a roller or lime on it as that might contaminate my crops? Bought a sprayer and then had to drive all the way back to store to fill it because I don't know how to transport my weed killer in my pickup (what can the pickup be used for - I couldn't tow any of my farm equipment like the combine header trailer).
Then picked a grass mowing contract and rented many machines for what seemed very cheap (I am on easy mode). I could automate a few things but not everything has an AI option.
Anyway, is there more tutorials, or can anyone recommend where to look for very basic step by step. I feel like I need agriculture diploma to understand this lime and fertilising stuff and when to use it. Also the AI issue, I know there's mods but I need to learn the base game first before moving to mods I think.
At least I'm not in the red yet.

2024.05.21 19:14 TheLittleBlackDuck FM NewGAN - Faces not updating

Not sure if anyone will be able to help, but I'm trying to use that NewGAN thing to have nicer player pictures.
I've been through the tutorial and have generated the config.xml file, which looks correct to me:
resource manager options dont preload anything in this folder turn off auto mapping logo mappings the following XML maps pictures inside this folder into other positions in the resource system, which allows this folder to be dropped into any place in the graphics folder and still have the game pick up the graphics files from the correct places
But no matter what I do, I can't seem to get them to work in-game.
I have:
But all my players still have the black silhouette. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? (I am using the default skin).
This is with "FMNEWGANv3"

2024.05.21 17:27 RandomGuyMe2000 Can I connect a sensor to Vin 5V?

So for a couple weeks now I've been working with an esp32 and some sensors that require 5V to power them, the sensors power pin says Vcc.
The esp32 is a 38pin board:
https://forum.fritzing.org/uploads/default/original/2X/a/ae3dc4cc089ce3e73de2d367da5dbf22102bd7c3.jpg
Im always connecting and will be connecting the board with an USB cable as power supply.
I asked multiple times like 15 times, to different chatgpt instances, if I can power a sensor at pin "Vin 5V" the bottom left corner one colored red, and it said I shouldn't be powering sensors directly on that pin and that I needed to power the sensor from an external 5V power source and that Vin is an input pin to power the board and not an output pin.
I know chatgpt makes mistakes, but not sure why ALL tutorials I find online, they connect sensors to Vin 5V of they are powering the board using USB.
I know the pin says "Vin" which in my opinion is an input voltage pin, but when I hook up a few sensors to it it works just fine, the sensors get power.
What is the correct safe way?
I'm guessing that when you connect the board using USB (which is 5V) then the Vin5V acts as an output of 5V, but you could also power the board using Vin5V and not use the USB port. That's my guess...
What does Vin5V actually is for?
Thanks

2024.05.21 17:23 MerSausEnnBislett The thing i'll miss the most next season

No matter how many times i've seen it in the last ~10 years, i'll never get tired of it and it will always make me smile. The diagonal switch from Toni to Dani has always been my favorite recurring piece of play. To me, it's a staple of the team i've grown up watching and i love seeing it so much because it's a constant reminder (to anyone who knows football) that Toni Kroos is the most important player on the pitch. The pass may look simple, but to hit the right millimeter-sized target at the correct time with over 90% accuracy for 10 YEARS is insane. Happy retirement, Don Antonio.

2024.05.21 17:17 karoshi9000 Autopilot/navigation problems

hey there,
I'm once again reaching out because I'm apparently too dumb to get my head round the MCDU in interaction with SimBrief. Here's what I did:
  1. Loaded SimBrief, made a short flight plan (Chicago to Toronto) with ILS approach
  2. Set up the very same parameters in the MSFS world map (i.e., IFR low-altitude airways, ILS approach, correct runways. It ("naturally") gave me different waypoints but afaik that is to be expected since MSFS doesn't know about my SimBrief flight plan at that point (?)
  3. Hopped in a cold and dark FlyByWire A320 and began starting up the machine, did all the usual stuff
  4. Last thing, I went into the MCDU and put in all the info from the flyPad that I did understand (I'm not 100% comfortable with the MCDU yet, so some fuel stuff etc I just leave as is). However, I manually entered all the waypoints that I got from SimBrief and the MCDU accepted them after a few hiccups with flight plan discontinuities.
  5. Took off and let the autopilot fly me towards Toronto which it did using the waypoints I entered earlier
  6. About 50nm out, I see that the flight path seems to indicate a curve directly over the airport...I check the map and the waypoints, all seems correct. There is a curve in the flight path just before the airport - on the radar it looks slightly misplaced since it's directly over the airport and not 25nm out or something. Looks like a typical bug. Anyway, I check my display and it shows the correct destination including correct runway.
  7. Since ATC is nowhere to be found (and shit anyway), I descend to 3000ft about 30nm out and watch the autopilot fly a curve that looks and feels quite like the curve I expected on final.
  8. At this point, I'm also realizing that MSFS simply ignored 2 waypoints that I inserted to make the approach curve a little less steep (the waypoints are shown on my radar, and they are in the MCDU flight plan, the aircraft somehow just decides to ignore them)
  9. However, the autopilot just flies straight over the airport and keeps going straight ahead
  10. ?????
why is this happening? There must be something I'm doing wrong, but I don't get it. I thought the entire point of SimBrief is to be able to plan a flight more comfortably and then have the data imported. I can live with having to enter the waypoints myself (even though it feels a little unnecessary, afaik in the real world, this stuff is preloaded in the computer?) but doing all that cumbersome clicking and then having the aircraft simply ignore it at the critical moment is really frustrating....I watched a number of YT tutorials on the MCDU, but I still don't get what I'm doing wrong....
any help appreciated!

2024.05.21 17:10 myNameIs-Kyle How to add a View directly to the main activity?

Okay, so I'm learning Kotlin and this is probably gonna sound like a stupid question so forgive me. I'm literally on week 1.
I want to add a View here:
class MainActivity : ComponentActivity() { override fun onCreate(savedInstanceState: Bundle?) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState) val myView: View = View(this).also{ } // setContent { // MyApplicationTheme { // // A surface container using the 'background' color from the theme // Surface( // modifier = Modifier.fillMaxSize(), // color = MaterialTheme.colors.background // ) { // Greeting("Android") // } // } // } } }
But I'm unsure of 2 things. One is this the correct thing to be passing into the View constructor? How do I add it to the parent or main view?
Now you might be wondering what my reasoning is. Also why am I not just using design part of android studio?
I am trying to build a stand alone view for another project in React Native and as of yet I haven't figured out how to use composables or xml in that. For example the tutorial I'm trying to modify does this with a web view:
class ExpoWebView(context: Context, appContext: AppContext) : ExpoView(context, appContext) { private val onLoad by EventDispatcher() internal val webView = WebView(context).also { it.layoutParams = LayoutParams( LayoutParams.MATCH_PARENT, LayoutParams.MATCH_PARENT ) it.webViewClient = object : WebViewClient() { override fun onPageFinished(view: WebView, url: String) { onLoad(mapOf("url" to url)) } } addView(it) } }
So right now I'm just trying to figure out how to add a single stand alone view that I can then tack children onto like a video player, images, and text.

2024.05.21 16:29 es330td Just in case you wanted to pick up a single reed instrument

I hope y'all find this interesting.
As the only wind musician in the family I was given a clarinet found when my in-laws cleaned out their attic. I tried playing it a little, getting good enough to play some one octave scales and the first couple phrases in "Stranger on the Shore." I put it aside, however, as I had no desire to learn a fingering chart to play a hobby instrument. Recently, however, I discovered something interesting. A music instrument inventor has created an instrument that uses a saxophone mouthpiece and a revolutionary mechanism to create a single reed clarinet like instrument with continuously variable pitch, a property until now unique to the trombone in wind instruments. It is kind of expensive, more than a new trombone might cost, but if I could get one I would certainly try it out. My guess is that given our refined ability to hear correct pitches this would not be hard for a trombone player to learn.
It's called a Glissotar and is made by Glissonic
Note: I have no association with this company. Just thought it of interest.

2024.05.21 15:25 DeezNootes Regret(?): What car should I have bought?

I just purchased a car. Its's been under 24 hours, and I've started feeling a bit of buyer's remorse. I bought a used 2011 Mazda3 iSport with 123k miles for 6.7k. The only issue is that the car needs some work. The dash is warped (which I know happens with these models), the AC is already making a high-pitched squealing noise, and I'm pretty sure the suspension or bearings need to be replaced. The AC and suspension/bearings make me regret buying this car. There are a few other things here and there, but those are the most prevalent ones. I'm also gonna have to replace bulbs so that the low beams work, but I plan to do that as a DIY project if I get around to it. Other than that I'd just use the high beams for now.
My other choices were a used 2016 Nissan Sentra SV and a 2017 Kia Forte for 7.8k. I'm trying to look at it positively and know that I would definitely encounter issues with these cars too (especially the Sentra...), but I'm wondering if it was worth it. Should I have bought a newer car? I've done my research and been looking for around 2 months. I did not feel rushed, and my two car friends said that the car was pretty good.
edit: I knew what kinda car I was getting into. It's a cheap, used car. I just wanna get some insight on whether or not I made the right choice. I know what I needed to repair for each car when I checked them out. I'd have needed new tires for both the 7.8k cars before the end of the year bringing it up to a 8.2-4k depending. I think insuring the Mazda was cheaper too, but correct me if I'm wrong.

2024.05.21 14:33 TheSenegalese Confusion about youtube metadata (date)

I did some osint tutorial https://quiz.sector035.nl/beginners/ (challenge 5) where you have to find out when https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUVFeXSdkO8 was uploaded. In the source code it says:
2020-06-04T12:19:58-07:00
sadly even when formatted correctly this is not the solution, it is:
2020-06-04T19:19:58Z as the site https://mattw.io/youtube-metadata/ tells me.
does the 07:00 just indicate it is a derivation from standard time or what is the idea? it is really confusing to me.
I also tried looking at the code here: https://github.com/mattwright324/youtube-metadata/blob/mastejs/youtube-metadata.js but I have no idea of Javascript and am not programming a lot so I don't really understand all the steps he takes to get the correct time through combining the published time + the converted time. He uses the website https://www.timeanddate.com/ somehow but to me it is all magic since even with the javascript playground I found no easy way to debug the code to better understand the steps, maybe someone can guide me on how to do that so I have an easier time looking that stuff up in the future?
Sry for the long text and thank you in advance for any answers!

2024.05.21 14:29 Historical-Milk-1339 The game's tutorial segment kinda breaks Deadshot's character.

I know tearing the game apart has been an ongoing thing that some people might have got tired of, but there are some problems with the story that aren't talked about that much and this post is covering one of them. So during the opening tutorial where you learn to play as each character, there’s a moment where you learn to throw grenades and Deadshot says “You don’t always have to be about accuracy, just efficiency” which sounds out of character for him to say. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure the name “Deadshot” in many DC continuities represents that the character takes pride in every shot he takes and rarely misses his target. Accuracy is basically the same as efficiency by his standards. So this minor line of dialogue alone is very questionable and it hurts the game more for having no reason to even be said at all.

2024.05.21 13:21 loltrol100 Best ways to learn pop songs on saxophone as a beginner (online)

Hi!
Im looking into learning saxophone as a complete beginner. Im mainly interested in learning some pop song melodies (ed sheeran, rihanna, … that kind of stuff lol).
I would like to learn this on my own online as saxophone lessons are extremely expensive where I live and mostly focused on classical.
Ive learned myself some pop songs on the piano through youtube tutorials with falling blocks where you had to hit the correct note. I was hoping to find something similar for the saxophone but without much luck so far.
Do you guys have any recommendations on this? Online resources, youtube channels etc? Or do you think its better to learn it with a teacher in person?
Also, how much time do you reckon it would take a beginner to learn a basic pop song on the saxophone? I plan on practicing 4-8 hours a week.
Cheers!

2024.05.21 09:54 BlueLightReducer Lenny Kravitz - Paralyzed

Lenny Kravitz - Paralyzed
It's insane how good this sounds. Sounds like a 90's / early 00's classic. Three singles so far (all bangers), album coming out next Friday.
I'm very glad he hasn't resorted to overly compressed vocals, audible comping, and audible pitch correction like many of his contemporaries (Bon Jovi, Robbie Williams, Billie Idol).
I hope this song is going to be a big hit!

Meta

Only did Leetcode daily challenges this month and went through 10-15 FB tagged problems(sorted by frequency) before the interview. Spent 1-2 days in preparing for behavioural round as well (writing stories following STAR approach).
Had 2 coding + 1 product design + 1 behavioural round with Facebook.
In 1 coding round I had to solve 2 LC mediums and in other round 1 LC easy and 1 LC Hard was given. Solved all 4 problems. These were all variations of FB tagged problems on Leetcode and if you have solved them, it's fairly easy. Yep, FB is very predictable w.r.t. coding.I had very strong feedback for 2 coding rounds, good feedback for behavioural but my product design round didn't meet E5 expectations. This was I believe happened due to following reasons:
Recruiter reached out to me and offered to send my packet to HC for E4 as feedback for product design didn't meet the bar for E5. I declined as it was not worth and a down-level for my experience.

Google

I had 3 coding rounds , 1 system design and 1 googlyness round.
Round 1 (Coding): 1 ambiguous problem with follow-ups. Expectation was to gather requirements and frame the problem statement. Once the scope was defined I provided few solutions with Time/Space complexities. Coded the same. Had few follow-ups w.r.t. what changes I'd make to make it thread-safe etc. This went well.
Round 2(Coding): 2 problems were given. First was related to 2-D matrix and 2nd was a graph problem. Solved both.
Round 3(Coding): A problem statement was given related to a e-commerce website. Had to gather requirements and once the scope was clear I understood it was a graph problem. Provided solutions using both DFS and BFS approach, implemented using DFS. Follow-up was again how to make it thread-safe. Next was kind of LLD question where I was given a problem and was expected to define classes/schema and relations. I provided a generic solution which would scale even for cases outside of problem statement scope.
Round 4(System Design): Was a given a problem related to a real life scenario. Very practical but not something you'd find on any YT channel or course. Since I had never seen the problem before there were no biases or known design in my mind. Kept it simple from the beginning. After gathering functional and non-functional requirements and some back-of-the-envelope estimations presented a very simple high level design. I literally drew just 3 components: client, server and a database. Then started talking about how I can scale each layer and talked about trade-offs as well. This was 1 hr round and first 45 mins went pretty well. In last 15 minutes I wasn't sure about what to talk about more as I was not getting any feedback from my interviewer. I believe he only talked during first 10 mins when I was gathering requirements and he had to answer my queries. In last 15 mins I thought of providing an algorithm of how to implement my approach and talked about few data-structures as well (although this might not be in scope of system design round). After the interview I knew it won't be a No Hire but was also not sure whether it would be Lean Hire or Hire etc.
Round 5(Googlyness): This was the best round. I discussed about various scenarios and situations following the STAR approach. I had prepared a lot of answers w.r.t. ambiguity, leadership, conflict, strengths etc. but I was kind of surprised as he didn't ask any direct questions which you usually prepare. I guess I only used 1 prepared story and rest was on the fly. But if you had prepared enough, you'll know what to answer and how to answer and would be able to relate to it using one of your experiences/projects.
Problems asked in Google were not directly from LC or any other platform. If you had practiced enough, you'll be able to solve them.Make sure you gather requirements, ask questions before jumping to solution. Keep talking and explain your thought process through-out. This is very important as interviewer would be able to judge you better and provide hints, if required.

Microsoft

Round 1 (Coding): It was a online assessment round. I had to solve 2 problems in 90 mins time. These 2 problems were new to me and I didn't find them on Leetcode. I'll categorize them as LC medium from algorithm perspective. But I had to write a lot of boiler-plate code unlike the usual LC mediums. You are given few visible test-cases and option to add custom test-cases. When you submit, 10-12 hidden test-cases are executed which are only visible post submission. So make sure you write your own test-cases well. After talking to various folks and going through community discussions, I also focused on code quality.I was able to solve both of them in 60 mins. Spent next 15 mins in adding comments in various functions to explain what they were doing. I also mentioned time and space complexity wherever I felt it was required. This is really important as this was not the screening round for me but an actual coding round where I would be judged not just on code correctness but also on code quality/modularity.My score was 100% (I passed all the visible and hidden test-cases for both the problems)
Round 2(Coding): 2 LC mediums with follow-ups. This went really well. Since we completed the coding exercise in ~35 mins, spent next 10 mins discussing my work experience/projects.
Round 3(LLD): First 10-15 mins were spent on my work experience. I had to design a Parking-Lot. Went well. You can find a lot of example/tutorials on Youtube etc.
Round 4(HLD): This was the Hiring Manager round. First 20 mins spent on my projects and various discussions w.r.t. how I handled a particular scenario and why I chose one technology over other. Next was given a popular HLD question. I did very well here. I believe this round differentiated between L63/L64 level and given my interview performance, I was offered L64 eventually.
Round 5(Director): This was mostly project discussions and behavioural questions. Nothing technical. Went well.

Uber

Screening Round: This was rather unexpected as interviewer gave me a LC Hard graph problem!! Who expects a LC hard in screening ? Well, Graph theory is one of my favourite and kind of my strength too, so I solved the problem well within time limit. At the start of the interview she told that if I could write the psuedo-code, that'd we fine too. But since we had time, I wrote some test-cases and tried the ones she copied pasted as well. All worked, pheww.
Round 1(Coding): 2 LC medium types. 1 related to Linked-List and other binary tree problem. Solved both.
Round 2(Coding): 1 data-structure design problem with lot of follow-ups including making it thread safe. Similar to Design a HashMap with custom O(1) operations. I was able to come up with design and implemented the same with O(1) complexity. Couldn't find the variation given to me on Leetcode.
Round 3(System Design): Design Uber. (yep, LOL)
Round 4 (Hiring Manager): Mostly project discussions and Behavioural questions.
Round 5 (Behavioural) - Cancelled. I received offers from Google and Microsoft and asked them to cancel as I had a deadline to make a decision on offers.

Atlassian

I felt Atlassian's interviews are really practical and they don't ask questions which you won't be expected to solve on a daily-basis. No screening round here, just a 30 min discussion with recruiter before scheduling interviews:
Round 1(Coding) : 1 problem was given. I was expected to code the same in my preferred IDE (IntelliJ, Eclipse etc.). Focus was mostly on data-structures and code quality. The algorithm itself was really easy if you chose correct data-structures. I used HashMap, Set and PriorityQueue in my solution. Created multiple classes, methods etc. Wrote a few test-cases. You end-up writing a lot of boiler-plate code in IDE as you need to write the main class and method, instantiate everything and then create test-cases. I even used a debugger to debug one of the test-case. This round went well.
Round 2(Machine Coding): Asked to implement a Rate-Limiter. Used an IDE again. Was given 1 problem statement and was expected to write a Object-oriented and modular code. This also went well.
Feedback of both the rounds were positive and recruiter scheduled 3 more rounds for me. 1 Design and 2 Cultural fit types. But I had to cancel them all as I had a deadline to make a decision on offers.

Closing Advice

Do not try to memorize or cram anything, it's useless. Instead try to deeply understand concepts and be curious. That's the only way to make this more enjoyable. It's a difficult journey but it will all be worth it at the end!
I hope this provides some perspective on the blackbox SWE interviews and helps you prepare better!

2024.05.21 08:58 Historical-Hippo3317 Ring sitting too low? HELP

Hi. I'm on NuvaRing for the 5th cycle. I really like this method and for various reasons I don't want to switch to patches or tablets. but I have a problem with my partner - my partner feels it during sex. he feels pain, the ring hurts his skin and rubs him. I wonder if the ring is simply not for us, or maybe I'm wearing it incorrectly. Even though I don't feel the ring during the day and I have the impression that it is put on correctly, when I sit in a sitting position, the ring slips down very quickly. I wanted to ask you for any tips, advice, links to blogs/tutorials on how the ring should be put on. and your private stories. I really want NuvaRing to continue to be my contraception.
p.s. I know you can take the ring out during sex, but I don't want to do it - my doctor advised against it and I'm scared of getting preggo so it stresses me out too much.
thank you for all the answers
