I have a list of jobs I've applied to and update it when I get rejected or progress to the next stage. I thought I was around 40-50 rejections, but I decided to count them up and turns out I'm at 80. What great news to get on your birthday!
On top of that, I'm no longer in the running for any jobs.

I know I shouldn't take it personally, but with today being my birthday and another year older, with no job, no work experience and people just telling me constantly "it'll happen soon" I just feel pathetic. I can't get a job anywhere - I've applied to a range of places including grad schemes, big, medium and small companies, retail (high and low end), restaurants, museums, remote and more.
I've only had 2 phone interviews and been rejected both times. Before the latter one, I asked for advice. I practiced so much, gave good answers, asked good questions and made the interviewer laugh twice - but still I got rejected. From the advice I got and videos I watched, a lot of people said it's easy to pass a phone interview and you should really pass all the ones you have (if you've done some research and have some passion and know why you want the job) - that just makes me feel even more useless.
I sat on my bed for 30 mins doing nothing, just sat there. I then went for a shower to try and get on with my day, but I cried in there and now I feel nothing. I don't even care that it's my b-day anymore.
I'm a failure. I'm nowhere near where I wanted to be at this stage of my life. I even had a baseline for where I wanted to be and I'm far below that. I've seen friends and people I know my age getting jobs and internships so easily. Even in my own family. My cousin had 2 interhsips during uni, dud a placement year, got an internship after graduating and then he took time out to relax and then said "he was bored" at the start of the year and said he'll start applying for jobs - 3 weeks later he had a full-time, high paying job and recently got the month off to go traveling. My other cousin is off to uni later this year (most likely Cambridge), she always gets top grades and had 2 mentors that work at big companies and are high up, well respected and high earners (not sure how she got them). I know already she will get multiple internships while at uni and easily find a high-paying job straight out of uni, (worst case, one of her mentors will give her a job) - even worse is that she wants to go into the same industry as me, she's 3 years behind but 3 years ahead of me at the same time and will probably go way further than me.
I'm the failure of my family, the failure of my friend group, I used to have high hopes for myself, but can't get in anywhere. I've let my parents down big time.

So, I (33f) have been riding horses most of my life - 24 years. Due to a messy parental situation, I started paying the bills to my own horse when I was 16 and always worked half of my board off. I did all the chores and during college was usually at the barn 2-3 times a day between classes and two jobs.
I did some horse showing, but not a ton, but my grandparents came to several of them.
My grandmother is VERY out of touch, as she has been retired since I was young. She doesn't like people, she can be volatile, is very immature but her mind is very sharp. She has a lot of control issues and absolutely needs therapy but of course will never go. She's not a bad person. She's just...a boomer 🤷🏼‍♀️
Anyways.
My horse of 15 years had passed (about 6 years ago now) and I went without horses for 3 years. My husband and I decided to get a property so I could have horses again. I already had 2 horses lined up and was very excited, so I announced it to my family during a get together.
My grandmother furrowed her brows and started asking all these stupid questions. I've made a list below. Remember, I've been doing this for 24 years, I worked with 2 trainers and did all of my own care.
-How are you going to feed them? -How are you going to get hay to your property? -What about all the poop? -How are you going to do all that work AND work a full time job?!?! -how are you going to care for two horses instead of one? -how are you going to take care of their feet? -How are you going to ride a new horse?
and on and on, interrogating me. I was PISSED. My family did VERY little to support my passion for horses and I worked my ass off since I was 16 to keep my horse. I paid for EVERYTHING. I did everything. I worked off riding lessons and I worked HARD.
I finally stood up, slammed my hand on the table and said, "You don't know a single thing about horses and I have professional training. I don't know why you think you have a right to interrogate me, as I didn't ask for your approval."
My grandmother said, "Well you haven't had horses on your own property before!" and I saw red. I yelled at her and replied, "I did ALL of my own work for my horse!! I know what I am doing!"
My mom pulled my grandmother to the side and told her to knock it off.
But once I got my two horses home and on my own property, my grandmother became VERY strangely VERY attached to my horses. One was 6 months old and I would be raising him myself and the other was a 15 year old rescue I would be retraining.
My grandmother had my mom drive her and my grandfather out to my small property several times and she CONSTANTLY berated me, questioned me, and challenged me. I told her these were MY horses and I would take her privileges away if she didn't stop.
My husband and I decided to move states and the first thing my grandmother said was, "I won't ever get to see your horses again" and ran to her room to cry.
She never ONCE acted like this with my previous horse of 15 years.
I love my grandparents but moving away was one of the best decisions we have ever made.

As we all know, there are many factors that can determine the rise and fall of a memecoin. Here, I'm going to explain to you all the Hege Theorem on why Hege can't fail, won't fail, and will eventually reach well over 100mil. It's written in the stars and if you're a community member you probably know already, but I'll split this post into different factors to show you why Hege is the most solid project all-around, and why you should consider buying it and holding it for a couple months at least.
This post aint AI stuff, so don't expect me to say that "our vibrant community fosters a crispy and original project revolutionizing the blockchain". No bullshit, just straight facts.

Hege Factor 2: Organic+Paid Marketing blending strategy.
Hege is an extremely promising, yet still very young memecoin. We are only 4 weeks old. Hege Factor 3: The community.
Hege's community is unlike any other for a couple of reasons. We are very active in the TG chat, have more groups for different nationalities, from spanish to chinese and Dutch. So for the upcoming night museums event, what was the best museum you've ever visited during this time? I'm planning to visit with 2 children who are 1 and 5 years old, respectively. I started with digital downloads in late December but quickly switched over to custom dog illustrations this year. All of my sales have come from me marketing , not etsy.
I have etsy ads on and many of my listings have hundreds of views with like 1-3 clicks. I do have a decent amount of shop favorites and item favorites imo since I started this maybe 2 months ago.
I’m worried it’s my pricing or the pictures…. I feel like I did tons of research on both of these. I know my pricing is higher than other custom portraits but I wouldn’t wanna go lower than I am right now. I KNOW my SEO is good. I have erank and did so much research on that. I have another etsy shop that is successful , so I feel like I know what to do but for some reason this shop is a bit confusing for me ): so any advice would help me. Thank you !

So I'm considering an allied detachment of a drop pod assault rite. It will mostly be plasma gun support squads I think, so I'm curious what Consul would be my best fit here?
Plan is to make it around 1000pts, leaving 2k of my melee based SoH list.
Likely it will be 2 squads of plasma support squad, a breacher squad for the compulsory troop, maybe a Deredeo in a drop for fun?
I'm considering going Ultramarines for the combo of drop pod combi bolters giving the guys inside bs5 through the legion trait. I also just really want to paint traitor ultras.
Currently I'm considering a Moritat with Destroyers to be the HQ, but any ideas would be appreciated!

I had been playing Farlight 84 for hundreds of hours. Being 40 with kids at home, my gaming comes in ~30 minute spurts. Farlight (or any BR game I guess) is great because I can play a match or two and carry on with something else. Farlight has had so many changes and updates over the past several months I finally have to call it quits. It has become so competitive / difficult I just can’t keep up and enjoy myself playing a match or two every other day. I tried Apex but the learning curve to the skill needed to be enjoyable (even if not super competitive) eems very steep. It seems very difficult to play effectively.
The only other game I truly love playing is Outerwilds (No spoilers please). However, it takes a lot of focus and brain power to play as I am still trying to figure things out. I also enjoy Dirt 2.0, which also requires me to dedicate some time and attention to and is very difficult. I got NFS Heat which is super cool. Quick races. It does seem a little monotonous and slow pace though.
I’ve been looking for a casual game to play but I haven’t quite found one. I tried Sky. I felt like I was walking for 5 seconds, cutscene, walk somewhere else for 5 seconds, cutscene. After about a half hour of this, I got bored. (This is the same reason I can’t play a lot of games like Red Dead or whatnot).
I bought The Long Road, and the controls were super screwed and didn’t work right? I feel like the game might be made for VR rather than controllers. I also got Stardew Valley to try but I just kinda glazed over while walking around trying to find 28 villagers to say hi to, and put it down after about 20 minutes of no real enjoyment.
So, I’m here to ask for a recommendation of something that is fun, captures my attention, but doesn’t require a lot of brain power or time dedication. My short list of ideas would be something like Dredge, or Subnautica? They may fit what I’m looking for.
But I’m here to see if anyone has any other recommendations. Something with a bit of cult attention is great, as some of the more obscure indie stuff I can’t really get into.

All the rest, I have seen before, same tactics, etc.. except this one thing. Tents/ camps in university. Seen that in Occupy Wall Street. Wearing masks to conceal identity, seen that. Blocking of roads, clashes with police, graffiti, boycotts etc… seen all that before except the “Do not speak to rule”…”we are not allowed to talk”,…”no comment”…”if you got something to ask, speak to the media liasion officer” (I dont think its solely about press,… the protesters are discouraged from speaking not only to the press, but other people (outsiders) like non-protesters or from other other side etc…).
That is new. I dont remember any protest movenent which forbade its supporters from speaking freely. When the Pro-Palestinian movement started back in October, protesters were freely talking about it, explaining to strangers/ passerby their cause, etc… but not these days and not these student protesters, they arent that interested in talking. So much so, other protesters might make some comment to remind themselves, dont speak to others etc… if they see you engaging with an “outsider”
This is the irony. They profess freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, freedom to protest….AND YET by their very action they are NO LONGER interested in speaking (at least not individually, there is no room for respect of differences of opinion). It probably started wanting to engage in a dialogue, communicating, talking with others, with the university respectives etc… but not anymore, they are more interested in just telling you want they want you to do, they are not interested to listen to you or hear your excuses/ explaination, and if you dont give in to their demand, they will act out.

1. This is a big problem on many levels, seemingly intelligent or educated young people voluntarily surrendering their freedom of speech to a designated official of the protest movement to speak for them. Why ? Because they were told not to speak to others…how obedient ? They were probably told for your own protection,…trying to conceal your identify,..or you are not well verse with the issue, let someone else better, knows what they are doing (clearly you dont know enough) and in position of authority speak for you. You just keep quiet, repeat the chants, do what you have been told. Its quite easy for more radical or more vocal groups to use them and push the movement to a more violent path.
   
2. Because they are not talking to outside their circle,… they dont know much about the subject matter. They only know whats being told to them. They are not questioning, critically analyzing, debating the information / stories provided to them, starting to sounds a lot like cult, not an expert on this subject, perhaps the could unknowingly fall victim to group think.
   
3. I predict they wont go away anytime soon, they have proclaimed they will continue protesting. They will always have more demands and try to push for more and more…the protest movement started on the streets, then some blockade on roads leading to airports / ports, now on college campus, they will continue to make target big companies on the BDS lists, storming congress #2, riots on streets etc… i am not saying student protesters are violent or seeking violence by nature, but their compliance and their silence make them complicit to any illegal acts or violence carried out in the name of Pro-Palestinian movement.
   
4. If student protesters fail at negotiation with their university. Ask yourself what hope is there for a peace negotiation between Israel and Hamas ? None. You are not too different. You make demands. You dont want to talk. You want the otherside to agree to your demands…if you are not able to get through to your university, just think …who can help ? Mediator. There are mediators negotiating between Israel and Hamas…who are your mediators? I think your alumni will be an ideal mediator, they understand students, they also have good relations with the university admin. They might also give the students a reality check. They might tell the students if their companies are looking to hire any students arrested or suspended.
   
5. On the bright side, students ranked the middle east conflict the 9th concern, after heathcare (1st), education (2nd), Climate change (5th) etc..only 8% students participated in either side of protest. 90% says blocking pro-Israel students on campus are unacceptable. 81% support holding protesters accountable for destroying school property.

Let's go back to season one, where everything started and lowkey set the tone for everything else.
- JWOWW was the IT GIRL! 3/4 Guys and after the boyfriend reveal 2/4 Guys. Her and Ron stayed friends/bestfriends. To quote Ron; "Jlo is my go-to girl in the house."
- Angelina was her closest friend before she left the first time around. They cliqued up together to watch the guys, talk smack and just generally formed a bond in a short amount of time.
- Snooki. Although she disliked her at first towards the end she did really like her.
I think Sam was intimidated by Jenni and I think her insecurity stemmed from that. (For anybody who didn't know; Ron had a crush on Jenni from the NY Party Scene, but when he found out she had a BF he backed off.)
Examples: Snooki telling Sammi that Ronnie left with Jwoww and her first instinct is to "knock a b up." When she arrived, she assumed they hooked up. On Boardwalk Blowups, even though Snooki misspoke and included Jenni in her opinion, the way Sam reacted even after Ron found out it was just Snooki who felt that way. She still included Jenni. Before that she doubled down and said "I don't talk to anybody."
Now, for season two. Prior to S2 starting, Angelina did multiple interviews about JS including talking smack on Mike's cell on speaker phone. So- she was alr on everybody shit list because they agreed to not reveal anything. J420, Joey Yanks, Bill.
- Snooki is Sam's closest friend at this point, but she's also the smallest girl. Y'all know this comes into play when it's revealed Ron had been threatening her and even then pushed her. Even though she adamantly wanted to tell Sam, for safety reasons, she really couldn't. Snooki is 4'9.
- Jwoww was Sam's friend by proxy. They didn't have a deep enough relationship and she was more closer to Ron than Sam. Which makes it so much worse when you found out she told Sam to her face multiple times before the Note even happened.
- Angelina. Although a touchy subject. She really did try to give Ang another chance under the circumstances until Vinny revealed. Also, when she was leaving, Sam was like; "When your friend was over, you treated me very different."
Sam did tell Angelina she would be more inclined to forgive Snooki because "Snooki is harmless." But Snooki would never switch sides because in S1 after the punch, Jwoww really stuck to her side.
Finally, season three. A lot of fourth wall breaks because they made them watch S2 whilst filming S3.
- Deena. All because she's Snooki's friend. Very rude. That whole first night and D is small too.
Even though Sam apologized to Deena & Snooki. Deena said in a confessional, because Jwoww has always been nice to her, her loyalty is with Jwoww. Snooki went to talk to Jwoww about Sam apologizing and Jwoww said; "She didn't apologize to me." I don't think she ever did. Jwoww eventually extended an olive branch.
Honorable Mention: Season Four. Locals were hostile and didn't want them there. Mike going through withdrawals. Jenni had a miscarriage and her grandmother died. Ronpage.
- Sam in confessional said about Jwoww; "Who knew the two enemies in the house would be this close together."
What I take from this cause everybody was really scared. Deena gently pulling Sammi out of the room whilst Jenni tries to deescalate Ron. Vinny makes one off hand remark and Sammi took it literal towards the point Jenni is crying, pleading and begging for her to get out the room.
So I will say by the end of S4, she had girl friends. I'm happy after years of therapy and healing, they were able to have a sit down and discuss.
(No, I'm not defending Ron. I will say the Boys checked out of the Rammi relationship in s2. Mainly because Ron attacked Vinny, held Jenni down so Sam could hit her and etc. Although Vinny was the main one separating fights. The lot of them were sick of production letting it go so long and so far. Hell, even Angelina broke the fourth wall in s2 because Ronnie's interference was so bad. I, also think they used the Arvin Situation to keep them separated because they were mentally exhausted.)

I need some opinions and advice regarding a job. I am currently a senior Health Science student (Pre-PA), and I am trying to gain additional patient care hours. I have enough to apply to the PA programs I wish to attend, but I would like more by the time I start grad school.
Last year (around March), I applied to a medical scribe job per the request of the doctor I would be working for. The job is through a major hospital system, which I will not name, that is in the south of the US.
To say the least, trying to get hired by this hospital system has been an absolute nightmare. (1) The job listing did not specify if it was part-time or full-time. I am a full-time student, so when the application asked which I prefer, I put part-time. HR communicated with the doctor that they did not want to hire me to work part-time. Due to this, I offered to work full-time (I would go to class, come in after, and stay late to get all of my hours). She used to scribe on paper and then have a medical scribe transfer it to EMR, so that would not be an issue to her. (2) The job listing specified that I had to have one year of scribing experience. I did not realize volunteering hours count, too, so my original resume only included paid hours (~ 3 months). HR communicated with the doctor that they would not hire me due to lack of experience, which is reasonable. I asked the doctor if volunteering would count, and she said yes. We ended up informing HR of my volunteering experience (~ 10 months). With my volunteering hours and paid hours combined, I have enough experience for the job. (3) We discussed plans for me to go to class, come into work, and stay late with HR. HR said they would not hire me unless I was in the room from 8–5 with the doctor. If I took the job and my clock-in/clock-out times didn’t reflect this, I would be fired. I could not do this because of my full-time, on-campus course load. (4) The doctor who wants me to work for them got the head of her specialty’s department involved to have a meeting with HR and plead my/the doctor’s case. They still refused to hire me. (5) HR said I could scribe for them if I worked for them for one year. The doctor tried getting me hired at the front desk with the understanding (and verbal agreement with HR) that I would become a scribe in the back after one year at the front desk. (6) The job listing said one year of customer service experience (no specification between paid or volunteer) was required, which I have from volunteering at various places (city zoo, church nursery, etc.) and from working in my university’s tutoring center. After I applied to the position, they refused to hire me without giving a reason. (7) The doctor and I were tired of going back and forth with HR. It had been two months at this point. The doctor requested to someone at the hospital’s associated med school to create a job position for me to be able to work front desk in her clinic. This process was a breeze, and the med school hired me without any problems! They even created a job position and title that did not exist just to help us out. I proceeded to work the front desk and do other clerical duties in the office for the next year.
