I am 19, eh I met this girl a year ago. We met my freshmen year of college and I met her from a video game online. I never experienced love or dated and I was 18 at the time so I said to myself I am ready to be open arms to the world. Things went well as a talking stage until last valentines , when I found out she was liking some other guy online. I was never really afraid to talk about it because it was online and my constant paranoia and her dishonesty led us to fall apart since I was always on edge when she spoke to me, always paranoid why she is speaking. Months after everything was sinking, she blocked me without question and I was constantly ghosted so I just took the sign this was short-lived and she never really wanted me, just the attention.
Months later, from another mutual friend online, they said she wanted to see me again multiple times. I wasn't taking it because I heard when my friend answered to her that I didn't want to see her, then she replied : "Ah well, I hope he cried well when I abandoned him". I then almost a month ago, I decided to contact her because I heard that not too long after she said that, she tried to see me two more times. And I contacted again to see if it was true, why still contact and we spoke again. She spoke about how she thought about me, how she miss me, I said the same back but she also started to ask if I was single or in a relationship because she said she is single.
Anyways, eh, she said she was scared of love and relationships so I said, ok that is fine with me, and I guess she wants to be my friend and contact with me still. And I didn't know until recently, but she is entertaining and in a talking stage with someone in real life. I found out myself by digging a bit and when I confronted her about it since she told me she is scared of love. She tells me that it's none of my business, how I need to leave her alone, how we never were close..
I am just stumped.. I came back to get my answers if she really liked me. How she is in life, and I feel like now since day 1 when I met them, I was used for attention.. I broke out an argument against text to keep asking why if she ever cared or loved me in the first place because how she used to speak to me about meeting and caring and our families. But she ended up saying give it up and sleeping.
What do I do? I have friends but I don't speak much so I don't have much around to speak to about it..

2024.05.14 23:04 DarkRayne17 DayZ freezing on server load with new At&t internet Air on XBOX Series X
I have seen this issue multiple times on DayZ forums and reddit with no resolution. When trying to join a server in Dayz the countdown will start and the loading bar will appear. When the countdown is done and the loading bar is around 25% complete the game will freeze on the blurred out character screen. There are a few RARE circumstances where the character will actually load into the server, but we load in completely desynced, even getting the character to load in requires constant restarting of the game.
We recently upgraded to At&t Internet Air using an All-fi Hub. We get anywhere from 120-300 mbps download and around 40mbps upload average PING is between 20-40. Our old internet was At&t Internet 10 which was awful. We got 11mbps for a few seconds and then kbps and it switched back and forth. Ping was awful on old internet. The old internet ran off a phone cable whereas this new internet is true wifi and connects you to a cell tower for 5G internet. Despite this, we were able to play Dayz on old internet with occasional lag and issues during congested hours, but playable.
My wife loves this game, it's the only thing she plays, she is involved with the community servers she plays in and now its been ripped away from her. I have done hours of EXTENSIVE troubleshooting trying to get this game to work with no success. I will list the methods I have gone through below.
NAT is Open
Ports are forwarded
Internet is strong and Ping is good.
The following methods of troubleshooting have been completed with no success:
Clearing Xbox cache, game save data, account save data, and all cloud-saved data.
deleting and reinstalling DayZ
Hard and soft reset of Xbox
clearing xbox MAC address and ensuring we have static IP address for Xbox
Port forwarding for xbox and common DayZ ports. I have used every available website and forum entry I could find to locate ports for this.
Playing on a different console
We still had some time left on our old internet so I hooked up the old router, made sure I could connect using several different devices and tried playing again on it, now it doesn't even work, so we can't even go back to our old internet.
MTU is currently 1430 (the old router was 1500, which was the only difference between settings other than connection type.) I CAN NOT change this. The router settings will not let me.
Messed around with IP address, MAC address, Gateway address.
I have (briefly mind you) messed around with firewall settings just to make sure they weren't blocking anything.
Tried IPV6 on and off.
Messed with Dayz Menu settings. All of them, FOV, Aim assist, any option that could be enabled, disabled, or changed, i have tried it.
Soft and hard reset the router, restored to factory conditions.
Tried MAC filtering between 2.4 and 5ghz.
Tried IP passthrough and allocation and packet filtering changes
Made sure everything was up to date: Xbox, Wifi router, DayZ
Tried playing with and without Livonia installed.
I have tried a wired and wireless connection with Xbox. keep in mind though, this router has no cable. It connects wirelessly to a cell tower. I have no broadband, fiber, or phone cable that runs to the router.
I HAVE CONTACTED MY ISP and they said they can't see anything wrong on their end. They said it must have something to do with the game's servers. Especially because this is the only game that does this. Every other online game works and runs fine with no issues.
Honestly, there are probably a few other things I have tried that I can't think of.
Cloud Gaming worked, but it's awful and practically unplayable
Now here's the weird thing that I saw several people posted. They were able to use their phone's mobile hotspot and join the server. This also worked for me. I used hotspot and was able to load right in but hotspot data gets eaten up like crazy so it isn't sustainable unless you only wanna play for an hour or 2 per month.
I think that's crazy because my phone is At&t 5G which uses a cell tower and it works. But my internet which is At&t 5G and uses a cell tower...doesn't work.
I have seen so many posts similar to this one and there are no solutions and rarely any DEV feedback. The most common feedback is to contact the ISP because it's something with them, but neither myself nor the ISP can find the issue because this is the ONLY game that has this problem. Unfortunately for me it's the only game my wife plays.
I have poured through forums, reddit, some weird places and tried every potential solution/suggestion that was offered. This is increasingly frustrating because I can usually figure stuff like this out. I try to be very thorough. I truly believe this has something to do with DayZ and how it communicates.
Any insight or suggestions are appreciated. I have also posted this to DayZ forums, Xbox forums, and At&t forums although phone rep could not find anything wrong on their end.

Im 19 and ive lived most of my life online with a pretty small amount of people. In terms of achievements in life and the value i bring to anyones life i give 0. Ive always struggled with understanding myself and others and i was rather introverted as a child as a result of some mild forms of bullying. I ended up gaining a bunch of weight when covid happened but i dont even remember existing before the year 2022. I havent studied in so long that i dont know how to study yet somehow im in my second year of uni. I have no hopes, no ambitions. I always struggled with hating living and despising my life and myself. Thats all for me. Late 2024 i met this girl online who I hit it off with pretty easily. A month in we’d hang out like 6-10 hours a day just chilling having fun watching movies gaming etc etc. this went on for 2 more months until i realized i mightve gotten a crush on her. I was raised in a conservative environment from young and never really had experience with interacting with women or anything other than short interactions that lasted like a week max. All i knew was that i needed to communicate these feelings because I hate keeping things inside. Ill be honest I almost always choose the easiest thing to do. I told her i liked her but I dont wanna pursue anything because LDRs suck . She just listened and told me she wouldnt know how she felt about me until a year ish. This was also around the time she told me she had narcissistic personality disorder and bipolar disorder and was on the spectrum. Ofc even after knowing that i just acted normal and didnt really change anything, which led to me making a lot of selfish decisions that ended up hurting her. Now shes told me these decisions wouldnt hurt a normal person but to her she just cant, now weve known each other for 7 months and we hang out everyday the entire day sometimes sleeping on call. Then I made a bunch of selfish decisions back to back that, and im not really sure, made her tell me shes leaving and that she doesnt want to be friends anymore. I knew shes a narcissist and i knew whatever connection i felt was probably one sided but it really doesnt get easier knowing she left our friendship and just moved on to the next best thing. I regret being myself, i hate myself and ill never forgive myself for being me. Now in th period after she left i couldnt do anything, i would spend most of my day on my phone scrolling or watching netflix just to cope with how lonely it felt. I got to a point where i had to add her and talk to her. Not being sure of myself i removed my add request and decided whatever she doesnt care anyways. She added me back and weve hung out twice since then. Shes told me that she doesnt plan on being friends with me but who knows what might happen. She also said i didnt change and that i was still selfish which hurt. Now were back to not being friends but we hang out. I truly dont know what the fuck is wrong with me, I cant just move on now and i have to change.

A couple nights ago, I (47M) had a second date with a great woman that I met online. She invited me to her house before dinner (always a good sign), and while there, I met her four (!) small dogs. I am usually pretty good with dogs, so while four could be a red flag, they were pretty fun to play with.
After a nice dinner, we went back to her place and started cuddling on the couch. We both were in the mood for adult fun, but the dogs were really happy to see us. They kept climbing on us, licking us, etc. If we would have stared taking off our clothes, who knows what they would have licked?

I was at college for a year and a half before I met my now best friend from randomly rooming in an off campus apartment at the beginning of this last school year This was her first year at college, as she is almost a year younger than me, and graduated in 2023. We clicked INSTANTLY and have become inseparably close ever since.
Our entire immediate and extended families all know each other, and we will often take trips and stay with her family. And when my family came into town, she stayed with us the whole time. Our families love each other, and meeting her has been the best thing that has ever happened to me, I feel like I have known her my entire life. My cousins who live in the area all call her cousin, and she comes to all the family functions.
Because we lived together, we share all of our belongings and even grocery shop together. Since we became so close so fast, and stayed at her family's house only a few weeks into the school year, people always asked us how we knew each other and would not believe us when we said we were random roommates. So instead, we started saying we were cousins and nobody questioned it. We became curious if we were actually related as we both have pretty large families, and used the app family tree to see if we were. To our surprise, we were somewhere between 3rd and 5th cousins, I can't quite remember. It was through my Grammy, and our moms sides of the family.
We are close with a few of both my cousins on my mom's side and her cousins fromher mom's side, and both of them just call the other "cousin", and have all accepted the other into the family. We even call each other's parents aunt and uncle as we will see or talk to them frequently. We will stay at each other's family and extended family. Everyone has welcomed the other with open arms into the family, and this made our lie seem even more real. This became so normal to us, that we would forget sometimes that it was sort of a lie. Whenever cousins would come to stay with us during the year, they called us both cousin no matter who's it was.
There were a couple other things that inadvertently helped our case too. For one, she was online at a different school the first semester as she had started college the last year of high school and had to finish it but still wanted to live in the college town she would be attending next semester, so people assumed she moved here to live with me. Second, my mom's mom is called Grammy and her mom's mom is called Gammy so whenever we talk about them, nobody notices that we are saying something different as they are super similar. And lastly, all the cousin's that came to stay with us or that we are close to are all from both our mom's sides and the ones we are still both technically related to.
During the year, we would tell all the people we met and it wasn't ever really an issue. The most people would question is that we don't look super alike as she is blonde and I have dark brown hair with tan skin, so sometimes people would ask how we were related and we would say our moms as both our moms are blonde. E ended up telling all of the other guys while they were at the gym that day and my boyfriend texted me saying "Bro no way you guys have been lying to me this whole time" when I asked how, he said "yall aren't even cousins" and then added "by blood".
We probably should have come clean then and there, but we had another one of our friends over who also thought we were cousins and didn't feel explaining to him or everyone that we had been lying for months. So naturally, we doubled down. But my boyfriend didn't believe us and asked for proof. When I said I would find a picture (my mom's family is huge so we could have played it off) he said to show him the family tree app. So we took an ss of our relation to each other and put another ss on top of it so it looked like it said we were just cousins instead of 3rd. That ended the debate as E and the girl never became anything so the guys just assumed it was bad intel, and never asked us about it again.
Now here comes the major problem. My best friend decided to do a year and a half long humanitarian trip and is having a party to say goodbye at her house this weekend. Me and my boyfriend are going up on Thursday (which is in 2 days) and her family is all coming into town. Her dad's mom and her mom's parents will all be there. My boyfriend has been with us when we were on a face time call with her family and her Gammy months ago, and has also met my Grammy, and was even at a family dinner this past weekend. However, since talking to Gammy and meeting Grammy were spaced apart so far he never questioned or asked about it, and we never gave it a second thought. The other day when we were at my Grammy's house, he snapped my best friend who is currently home saying "guess where I am", it was clear he assumed that Grammy was our mutual grandparent so she just went along with it.
We have been lying so long that we don't know what to do about this weekend. We talked to her mom and one of her aunts who know about the situation and they think it is hilarious. It started out as an innocent joke and just letting people assume our grandmas are the same person, but we are so deep in it at this point that we don't know if we should come clean or not.
At this point we have 3 options: 1: we come completely clean, 2: we slightly lie and say we are 2nd cousins which isn't that far from the truth, or 3: lie even more and keep pretending to be first cousins.
Her mom thinks we are in too deep to come clean at this point and is willing to go along with whatever we tell him. We came up with a plan that would further enforce the lie that goes as follows: Her Gammy and my (now dead) grandad were married and had 2 kids: the first one died (my mom has a sister that died as a baby) and the second one was her mom. They divorced after the death as it was hard on the marriage and both got remarried. My grandad to my Grammy, and her Gammy to her grandfather. Gammy got custody of her mom, and both couples had more kids and moved on with their lives.
This would make us half cousins and our moms half sisters. You wouldn't really refer to your half cousin as anything but a cousin, and it would explain why we were weird when people asked if our moms were sisters. Additionally, the sister that died is a real thing and asking anyone about it would make our lie seem true. As the years went by, my financial situation changed & just like her, I began living paycheck to paycheck. By this time, she had started dating a guy she met online who revealed to her a few months into dating that he was a millionaire. They married shortly after and suffice to say she has not had to struggle since. There have been a few times I have asked to borrow money, which I have always paid back. It's usually not much, less than $25 or so each time, and she would always oblige with no problems until recently.
The last couple times I asked to borrow money, she said she didn't have it which I found odd. But then I asked to borrow $5 and she said the same thing and I thought it was odd that she told me she didn't have $5 to spare. I know that ever since she got married, her brothers and a couple other friends have tried taking advantage of her new-found wealth by asking to borrow money they never paid back and having her bail them out of situations they put themselves in that have cost her a lot of money.
I started to think that maybe I had forgotten to pay her back money I owed her at some point, so I reached out to her to ask if that was the case. When she told me that wasn't the case (as in, I had always paid her back), I told her I felt hurt because it felt like if I needed her help with something (I used the example if I ended up in jail) that I couldn't reach out to her for help because she couldn't even let me borrow $5. She replied and said that just like her brothers, I needed to learn how to budget my money better and that she can't be the one to bail everyone out. She said when she was struggling, she had to work multiple jobs and did what she had to do.
I replied and said that it was not fair for her to lump me in with her brothers as I have never done anything to take advantage of her & I never would have said something like that to her when I let her borrow my car & anytime she would ask me to borrow money when she was struggling.

She and her guy were fighting and she “needed” me as a support, I left everything for her, I spent every day and night talking to her since. She used whine when I made plans with my other friends and unnecessarily bitch about them and when I got uncomfortable, she told me that I was “no fun” anymore, so I dropped them.
She ranted every single day. It was always about her fighting w her ex or her not liking someone, unnecessarily commenting about someone’s body, the way they dressed, everything. I used to feel uncomfortable but didn’t say anything cause she’d somehow make me feel guilty? Made me date her ex’s friend even though I wasn’t into him? And she blamed me for that not working out?
I knew her whole life story? And she’s claiming that I hide things from her but whenever I talk she ends up talking about herself? Up until 1st semester, I was very very insecure about my body and decided to change that, I lost weight and she used to make these very subtle passive aggressive comments sometimes and never once asked about my progress. She was very good at this tho, make me feel special but then asserting unnecessary dominance and trying to compete? The day I cut her off, she used her trick of guilt tripping me and then called right back and started crying and apologising by victimising herself and telling me that I was her longest friend that I couldn’t do that to her and so on.

- Bitches about every person and acts all sweet and nice to them.
- Expects me to be loyal and hate the people she hates (she’s very problematic, in the sense she had problems with everyone who were close to her and made it seem like they were the problem and everyone believed it??) but when I dislike someone to a point it irks me, she tells me that that person helped her a lot. Double standards.
- Never accepts faults.
- Everything is an act.
- The most insecure person I’ve ever met and never told me about their true feelings? (I thought I was insecure until her)
- Wants me to just validate her feelings and god forbid I ever give her an advice.
- Claims to having done everything for me during our friendship. Being there for me exactly 2 times when I have been with her and for her numerous times over the span of 4 years.
- Got into a relationship because she wanted to go on double dates with her former bf and his bf w me, was in a week long relationship and he lost interest and told it to her and she chose to humiliate me when I got drunk and chose to tell me on the day of my first ever concert.
- Conveniently chooses what is right or wrong.
- Talks about herself 23/7. The one hour in a week is what I talk in total, I am her emotional support dog.
- When I confronted her about her not knowing me, she used sarcasm to deflect the situation on to me, making me feel like the crazy one. Never tried to know who I was.
- My surname is known to have money, so if a person who is popular and has my surname or doesn’t have it, according to her, they are talking to me only because I have that surname.
- Says that she’s happy that I’m not like other girls she mentioned by saying that I’m happy for her for all the things she’s bought or done and the fact that I pay for my share every single time cause I don’t like owing someone money and relates that to herself but in reality, she’s just like the “other girls” she’s mentioned.
- I’m not allowed to go out every Saturday like she does but I am allowed to go sometimes, that’s on a very rare occasion and most of the time it’s with cousins and my elder sister.
- Went on an international trip w cousins and she constantly told me that she wants to go to the exact same place w her friends, never once asked me for the pictures of my trip just kept whining about how she hasn’t been there?
- When she got caught cheating on an exam, her own (former) boyfriend did not go with her to solve it or be there for her, instead I went so that she doesn’t feel bad, didn’t eat my lunch didn’t study for the exam we had in an hour, and she thanked me. When I got caught for the first time recently, she left knowing that our mutual told her that I got caught and when I told her that it was sad that she didn’t even wait for me she gave me reasons and excuses as to why she couldn’t. If I were in her place, she would be fuming rn and would use that against me in a fight. This was the one that pushed me off the cliff to be very honest.
