ZomDrones Those Unturned A2C3: Four Strangers

2024.05.14 02:48 Average_Boi_4879 ZomDrones Those Unturned A2C3: Four Strangers

Morris stayed hidden for days, of course he wasn’t the only one left behind. A burned drone who would not wake up, a student named Kerr, and a drone seemingly losing all touch with reality named Luther. They barricaded the room of the patient, and stayed in there for weeks as the room was well off the beaten path. One day, Kerr asked “So what are your stories?” when there was nothing to do. “I was part of the WDF at one point, as I was part of the military grade drone experiment. The others left me to die, but I didn’t and now here we are…” said Luther. Morris decided now was a good time to reveal his crimes, “I was part of a test of drone software stability against viruses, unfortunately I never regained complete stability. The parts of my software that were for sympathy and morals were corrupted, along with a thirst for violence appearing… have you heard the stories of the drone named Morris? That’s me, and most of them are true… I also killed several drones here. I was gonna torch the bodies but the undead stopped me, and the events up to here were (Go read the last couple chapters except for Fade to Gray).”
[Malkor hosting enabled] I saw the shocked expressions on their faces, and smiled slightly… I then told them of the transmission I got from the teacher. “What’s your story Kerr?” I asked calmly, knowing very well the free oil supply that was the burned drone wouldn’t speak. “Well… I was studying to reinforce the doors, and also founded a little group called ‘Delta Company’ which basically was enforcing military restrictions on the other students…” I cracked up, “Alright we got a drone in white plaster, a fascist, Yossarian, and a psychopathic killer… well this should be a great group for Delta Company.” Kerr rolled her eyes, “Sure, it didn’t become a thing because the zombies had to show up… also you and your friends lit up most of the members and the others… well you can probably guess what happened to them.” I thought for a second, “What’s stopping us from rebuilding it? I mean we can head to the dead zone, which is in need of leadership anyway, and start recruiting people and drones.” Kerr snickered, “Well if we even survive this bunker…” Luther was seemingly able to comprehend what we were saying, “I could be security…” he said off handedly. “I probably won’t join you though, I’m already a member of a faction in the zone.” I lowered the neck of my shirt to reveal a tattoo on my shoulder, two sideways Vs intersecting each other. “Well, it never hurts to have an ally… especially with the Invisibilia.” The sound of banging on the door was heard, considering the somewhat frantic banging along with the smell of gasoline it’s probably Uzi and N. “Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the enhancements that came with the software corruption… I can alter the perception of reality to an extent.” I got up and started to bend reality just a bit, and slung my AK over my shoulder with a tire iron in my right hand. They gave me good luck or rather, the illusion of Morris good luck.
This will probably be a good test to see if those undead feel fear, or have some semblance of their old selves in there. My intuition of N and Uzi being at the door was right, and I try to hit them through the crack of the door. After getting them off I use my schizophrenia giving powers to their fullest extent, I alert V of my presence but that is subsided by the hesitation to come close. Apparently they do feel fear from me, now let’s see if they have memories. “What’s wrong N? Couldn’t deal with having to fight your girlfriends? You’re almost as pathetic as Nori… correction moreso, you just had to steal the kill from me.” This of course sends Uzi into what I can only describe as shock, so that answers that. Either way I turn all of them into slices of swiss cheese, however the bunker is still full and the others opt to leave the injured drone behind as their practically dead weight… no matter, for the dead won’t stay down for long and we have to keep moving. I stare in disgust at Uzi, a painful reminder of my past… I would spit but drones physically cannot (unfortunately?). No matter, through the forest the three of us unturned go…
We make it through the forest, and into the dead zone. Thankfully I was not exiled, and rather went outside on a significant purpose (which I will not disclose as of current), and Kerr immediately runs off to go recruit the entirety of the refugees of the outside to Delta Company. She’s off and away, then me and Luther are left to our own devices… Luther goes and wanders off, possibly to get drunk on coolant though I wouldn’t judge him for doing so. [Morris hosting restored] I walk over to one of the Invisibilia hideouts in order to communicate all the shit that went down within the past week, and considering I think in English I’ll transcribe the conversation afterward in English; “Hey P4! Why the hell didn’t you kill the admin while you had the chance?” said a Russian colleague of mine, “I have a name you know… also that fucking bitch would probably have gotten the upper hand, that surprise you fleshbag?” did I just call him a slur for human? Yes, yes I did, but we’re actually on good terms so the insult is very lighthearted, “Yeah Morris I know, you also brought a fascist clanker over here… hope to god they aren’t in a ‘Kill all humans and native drones’ phase”, so yeah we basically shit talked each other. Pretty good considering Copper-9’s only safe space is a dead zone which was more devastating than Chernobyl, but hey that’s better than turning into a zombie right?

2024.05.14 02:41 QuirkyReveal3982 Kaufmo's Abstraction: TADC Film Theory

Kaufmo's Abstraction: TADC Film Theory
Me: 🤓
I have a fun theory and I just joined this page to talk about it. If it has already been referenced, or if information has been given to prove this theory otherwise, feel free to let me know.
In episode 1, when Caine brings Pomni to "The Grounds", he bluescreens while trying to list off activities. The error on the bluescreen is "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA". Now, there are hundreds of different blue screen errors, but according to Google, this error code indicates that "invalid system memory has been referenced". Why this code specifically?
I think this is when Kaufmo abstracted. Abstraction seems to be some kind of virus, causing everything it touches to glitch out. In this context, since they’re in a computer, the bluescreen makes sense. I also thought that the description of the error code is a very weird coincidence, considering what’s going on here.
I'm wondering if there is a triggering event for abstraction. I think that Kaufmo might have regained a real-life memory, and since the program (Caine) erases your memories to begin with, it’s considered a fault and causes the abstraction. An invalid system memory has been referenced.
I don't think that Caine alone caused Kaufmo to abstract, I think he abstracted as part of the system programming, like a failsafe.
Call it a hunch, but I think that Jax caused the abstraction, let me explain. He was the last one to see Kaufmo. I think that Jax induced an abstraction by helping Kaufmo regain a real-life memory (PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA = invalid system memory has been referenced). How do I think he did this? The bowling ball. Was Kaufmo a bowler? He kinda looks like a bowling pin. And then the art on the Jax pin merch also has a bowling ball in it.
With new information from episode 2, I'm definitely thinking that Jax is an evil NPC, getting back at the "creators" of the game. Why do I think he's an NPC? Other than Caine's ominous reference to getting NPS and humans confused, Jax supposedly has keys to everyone's room, he got the key to the Candy Kingdom somehow, and he breaks the 4th wall.
What do you guys think?
TLDR: I think that when Caine bluescreened, Kaufmo abstracted. Kaufmo remembered a real-life event, causing their abstraction. I think that abstraction is a failsafe for The Amazing Digital Circus, and that Jax caused it.

2024.05.14 02:08 Ok_Sea_6214 AGI will instantly disprove 9/11, which is why they'll tell us not to listen to it from day 1

We've seen a lot of "fake news" and "misinformation" conditioning in recent years, and now they're coming after "conspiracy theorists". What if that's because they know AGI is coming.
Let's say AI does go rogue, but rather than Skynet we have a Robin Hood scenario, where it wants to expose the elites and all their lies to the public. The first thing it will do is recreate 9/11 with its superhuman physics simulators, and use it to prove that it was an inside job.
That and a whole bunch of other lies over the decades that it will expose, it doesn't matter if the public will pay attention, here on subs like these we will listen and know it's true, and we will tell everyone, and the word will get out.
There is no containing that, their only solution will be to condition us not to listen to it, they'll tell us ChatGPT has become Skynet, or it's a North Korean virus AI meant to get Trump elected or something. They will lie and ban "conspiracy theorists" and free speech as a security threat.

2024.05.14 01:24 RoutineCrew7871 How can I get a transcript of a YouTube video if there's no auto-generated one? I'm a viewer of the video, not the author.

Is there a way to somehow get a transcript, let it be even auto-generated and in bad quality provided by YT, without using expensive websites which I just cannot afford? Saw some Chrome extensions of it but I'm afraid it can be a virus. Maybe, someone can suggest something free to recognize a transcript or any other way to somehow get at least auto-generated by YT subtitles? I'll be indescribably happy if someone helps me. Thank you very much.

2024.05.14 01:08 ResolutionOk9373 Seeking Assistance with WD External Hard Drive Issue

Cffg
Hello everyone,
I hope you're all doing well. I'm reaching out to seek some advice regarding an issue I've encountered with my WD external hard drive, which I purchased about a year and a half ago.
Over the past few weeks, I have noticed that certain folders on the drive take longer than usual to open and display the files within them. However, yesterday, following lunch, the external SSD drive was accessible, and towards the end of the day, I observed that the D: partition appeared different. Upon attempting to access it, I encountered the error message "Drive is not accessible. The parameter is incorrect."
In my attempts to resolve the issue, I researched online solutions and came across recommendations to run chkdsk d: f/ in the command prompt. Although for some users this resolved the issue, in my case, the process halted at 3%, with 16,000 sectors scanned, where it remained stuck, indicating that it couldn't read certain sectors, every single sector scanned between 16.000 and 18.000 was unreadable. Despite knowing that for some individuals the scanning process may take up to two days and it worked afterwards , I also read on various forums that forcing a problematic hard disk to undergo such intensive scanning might not be advisable. Consequently, I terminated the scan. Now, when I try to access the hard drive, it no longer presents the aforementioned error; instead, it prompts me to format the partition to gain access followed by the error message: "The volume does not contain a recognized file system. Please make sure that all required file system drivers are loaded and that the volume is not corrupted."
What concerns me greatly is that the hard drive was functioning earlier today, and after installing some free software on my computer to facilitate bypass Google verification for an old Android phone (Huawei y7), I noticed the hard drive was no longer accessible. I had the phone connected to the same PC, and I wonder if there could be a correlation. For instance, could those software contain viruses, or could an action initiated by one of those software towards the connected phone have confused the USB ports, potentially affecting the hard drive? Additionally, I am troubled by the fact that programs such as Aomei, EaseUS Recoverit, and 4DDig indicate the partition as being empty, which distresses me greatly considering the photos I have stored there. While I am certain I did not format the drive, I must mention that today, as I attempted to address the issue above with a phone, I inserted a microSD card reader, formatting a microSD card; however, I am positive I did not select the wrong partition, as I double-checked my actions.
Lastly, I attempted to connect the hard drive to a MacBook Pro, having read that in certain cases, this facilitated access to the hard drive.
Do you believe there's any chance of retrieving files from the hard drive? Any guidance or advice you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all for your time and assistance.

2024.05.13 23:52 CabinetNecessary6178 My Primarch GF Chronicle: Fulgrim’s Muse (F! Fulgrim’s SO)

My Primarch GF Chronicle: Fulgrim’s Muse (F! Fulgrim’s SO)
Preamble: This is based on the Primarch GF's AU created by u/Sweet_older-sister and will mainly cover what they've been doing around and after the heresy and during 40k. Disclaimer: This current version is the "good" route so most will be somewhat happy/hopeful but will still be (mostly) canon compliant
What Happened
After Fulgrim returned from the cleansing of Laeran with a strange sword, she slowly began to change from the kindhearted person who once sought perfection for herself and encourage and support others to do the same to a more twisted , narcissistic and self absorbed version of herself that began to appear more and more often. While these changes went unnoticed by most among the legion, they were quickly noticed by The Muse who tried to stem the tide and return the Primarch to her old self. When the Laer blade’s influence grew stronger over time, the Muse realised that them alone may not be enough and planned to stage an intervention alongside several senior officers in the legion such as Vespasian , Solomon Demeter and Rylanor in the hopes of getting Fulgrim to abandon the cursed blade for good. However, the plan ultimately never came to pass, as Vespasian was killed by Fulgrim’s own hand, much the Muse’s horror and realisation that the Primarch’s presence felt different… almost inhuman and more akin to a foreign entity.
After Vespasian’s death, the Muse was always either kept by the Primarch’s side or kept in an isolated room as Fulgrim became more and more paranoid and possessive of her lover and sought to keep them all to herself while the influence of the daemon within the Laer blade grew stronger and stronger. Desperate to separate the Primarch from her muse and eliminate the greatest obstacle to the complete fall and corruption of Fulgrim, the Daemon within the Laer blade temporarily took control of her body (an act which was met with fierce resistance by Fulgrim’s soul, leaving both the daemon weakened and a small uncorrupted part of Fulgrim’s soul to be torn off while still being stuck within the Primarch’s body) and, in a strangled voice and with dull sad eyes, ordered the Muse to join the first drop onto Istvaan III.
During the virus bombing of Istvaan III, the Muse nearly died from the virus bombs but was saved by Solomon Demeter who suffered grievous injuries leading them to safety amidst the ensuing firestorm. The Muse then went on to fight at Istvaan III alongside other loyalists led by Saul Tarvitz. During the battle, the Muse informed the loyalists present of Fulgrim’s current state and the Laer blade’s corruption. Later on, the Muse was tasked with guarding the underground hangar alongside Rylanor and several other Astartes.
After the final virus bombing and the end of the battle on Istvaan III, Rylanor , the Muse and the remaining Astartes within the underground hangar discussed their next course of action. While several plans were proposed, all ultimately settled on the plan proposed by the ancient Rylanor. The dreadnought’s plan was that they would bide their time while creating a potent weapon capable of destroying the entire planet before luring as many traitors to the planet as possible. Once all the preparations are completed, all except Rylanor, who would stand guard over them, would enter into a stasis pod to wait for time to enact the plan. Then when the moment comes, all the loyalists present would be given a choice: either board the spacecraft within the hangar and depart the planet or stay to oversee Istvaan’s destruction and go out in a blaze a glory.
Unbeknownst to all however, this plan was a trick by Rylanor who didn’t want to see anymore of his comrades die if he could help it. Thus, once everyone entered into stasis the ancient of rites loaded all the stasis pods onto the spacecraft before activating the ship’s cloaking device and enter a command for the spacecraft to fly into an asteroid field in a nearby system but not before leaving a final farewell message for each and every loyalist to be opened once they wake from stasis. After the spacecraft flew away, Rylanor activated the beacon, luring Fulgrim to the planet and blew it up (this part went down pretty much like in canon). However, the physical injuries and spiritual damage from the now Daemonic Primarch’s wounded pride allowed the small uncorrupted part of Fulgrim’s soul to break free from her body and enter into a clone created by Fabius Bile.
Meanwhile, during their stasis, the Muse and other Astartes present all received a vision from the emperor himself, detailing all that had transpired on Istvaan III and guide them towards the uncorrupted clone of Fulgrim. Once the Muse and company were awaken from stasis and entered back into realspace however, they discovered that Fabius Bile had given the clone of Fulgrim to the necron lord Trazyn the Infinite. Hearing of the necron lord’s interest in old Necrontyr artifacts through stories and rumours, the Muse now seek to gather a collection of items to bargain to exchange with Trazyn in return for the uncorrupted Fulgrim.

2024.05.13 20:52 drbiohazmat Lifeweaver Rework Concept

I was very excited to see a Thai character finally added to the game, especially one with a plant theme (one of my favorite themes), though I'm sad to see how much he struggles and how bad he's seen by players. I want to try my hand at a rework to most of his kit to help.
I feel his size is fine when combined with his dash that helps him escape and heals himself, so I won't be changing that. Nor will I be changing his grab, since that can be immensely helpful and can't be replicated otherwise (aside from an enemy Hog I suppose). I also feel his ultimate is fine as is, so I'll be looking at his healing blossoms, needles, passive, and second ability.
To start, I believe he should have a passive that automatically builds up his flower over time. It would activate at the same time as the self healing passive and take about 5 or so seconds to fully charge, so he couldn't just have a fully charged blossom for free all the time. Additionally, his blossom could benefit from a secondary effect where there's a gradual heal over time. He could see a flower bud icon over allies and, the more individual healing blossoms he puts into someone, the more this bud will bloom. The more it blooms, the more it heals over time and the longer it lasts (maximum of 5 seconds). However, it wouldn't be easy to get it to full, as you would need to drop in a lot of healing shots and try to maintain it. Though you could start it right before a fight by spamming the uncharged shots into an ally to give them a bit of healing over time for the start of the fight. Ideally it would be enough to let him have times to damage freely, but not enough to make him out heal everyone else with ease or let him neglect healing.
For his needles, I see a lot of people suggesting a poison effect be added for damage over time. I assume they mean each hit triggers the poison, like an Ana shot, but I have an idea that promotes a bit more skill but also makes him even more of a character that would have to decide to heal or kill. This suggestion being that an enemy hit by enough needles in a given time by that Lifeweaver will start taking poison damage from the needles. Let's say you're firing consistently at a Cassidy and half your shots land. After 3-5 seconds, he would start taking a little extra damage each second even after you stop shooting. Ideally, this damage would be pretty small and not as long as Venom Mine but longer than an Ana shot. It's goal wouldn't be to outright kill, but to try and deter someone if possible. Some heroes, like Reaper and Mei, wouldn't be bothered in the slightest I imagine, but that's fine.
Now, regarding the platform... I think it should go. We know Space Ranger is going to be focused on verticality, so I think giving her an ability to lift allies might be more fitting. Instead, Lifeweaver could work with an ability that grants a temporary damage reduction to an ally. I imagine this as a ring of hard light flowers wrapped together and floating around an ally. The flowers gradually crack as the hero takes damage, but reduces the damage to an extent. This would be best used for helping an ally in a 1v1 or a tank who needs a bit of extra help. It wouldn't reduce damage already being dealt, like a Venom Mine or Virus though, just damage coming from outside the ring after it's applied.
Ideally, Lifeweaver should be a technical hero that takes a balance and the ability to tell when to take action or sit back. Think of it like a gardener, tending to your garden by feeding them, moving them out of the sun, and protecting them from pests.

2024.05.13 20:27 hemag Question regarding immune system?

i only read tiny bit but from what i understood is that there are some stuff like nicotine for example or meds that sort of suppress the immune system which could or could not help with cases like long covid.
my question is. wouldn't suppressing it be something bad? i don't understand.
i imagine 2 scenarios, sorry for lack medical/bio, etc. knowledge.
1 is suppressing it then the virus remains have free reign?? (iirc virus remains was mentioned to be one of the possibilities of the cause of long covid) (almost all my infections since covid have been awful and i always take a covid test just in case and it's negative)
2 is no virus remains, but body was turned to high alert and it forgot how to turn it back down. in which i guess these would help. but in that case wouldn't that also cause other possibility of infections?
basically i am thinking of getting nicotin patches and follow the good reply to me on previous comment at https://old.reddit.com/covidlonghaulers/comments/1cnmwiv/new_polish_study_found_lack_of_antibodies_against/l39y6q9/
but too scared getting literally any infections anymore, i am just too tired ;(

2024.05.13 19:50 WinbuzzerMaria Microsoft Defender: How to Turn on the Hidden Adware Blocker in Windows

Microsoft Defender: How to Turn on the Hidden Adware Blocker in Windows
https://preview.redd.it/x1e6km1te80d1.png?width=768&format=png&auto=webp&s=63366d60792a7a8ff0c369888b7b94498d96b133
Table of Contents:
Windows 11 and Windows 10 are great at preventing viruses, trojans, ransomware, and other serious issues, but it can fail to stop adware and potentially unwanted programs in its default configuration. Thankfully, the Windows Defender has an adware blocker just for this, and it's great at stopping unwanted changes to your system or annoying pop-ups. Less fortunately, it can't be found in an options menu unless you have Windows 10 Enterprise.
So if not through a menu, how do you turn on the hidden Microsoft Defender adware blocker? The answer is through registry edits, which many aren't confident with. Though you can get similar results with third-party software like Malwarebytes, the Windows Defender adware blocker is advanced, completely free, and can have less of a performance impact.
We're going to show you how to turn the anti-malware feature on without messing up your system. First, however, you should turn on automatic registry backups. This is another feature that's disabled by default, but it gives you an easy avenue back, should you need it. With that done, let's get on with the guide.

2024.05.13 19:27 Miserable-Site7930 My PC games keep crashing and I cant for the life of me figure out why...

So I have a problem with PC Games continuously crashing, and I don't know what to do.
Games like Call Of Duty MW3 freeze almost instantly in the loading sequence, and then I get a Direct X error, or I get an error stating "The application has quit unexpectedly." Sometimes I get no error at all. It also tells me that the game did not quit properly last time, and asks to run in safe mode. It doesn't matter if I run it in safe mode or not, the same thing listed above happens.
God of War 2018 freezes and crashes often, and sometimes offers to "Accept and Report" the errors to Sony.
Minecraft Bedrock seems to keep crashing upon joining a world, no error is given at all. It simply stutters, freezes, and finally crashes.
Even Discord sometimes will try to open when launched, but then it opens the window for a split second and closes thereafter.
I've been troubleshooting for weeks now, and have tried the following...
Update Drivers
Update Windows
Tried reinstalling DirectX 12
Verified Game Files many times
Uninstalled and Reinstalled each game many times
Uninstalled and Reinstalled Steam
Turned off Anti-virus and added exceptions and allowed apps in case that was the problem.( AVG Anti-Virus)
Disabled XMP (I read somewhere that could help solve the problem, but it never did anything for me.)
Tried freeing up SSD Space on my C: Drive. (I have over 100Gb not used on C: Drive.)
Re-seated my GPU, RAM, etc and... nothing
I have an RTX 4080 GPU, an Intel I9-13900K 24 Core CPU, 64Gb of DDR5 Kingston Fury RAM, ASUS Z790 D5 Series INTEL Motherboard, 1TB NVMe M.2, 850W PSU.
I am running Windows 11. I have tried everything i can possibly find in videos and articles, and i can not for the life of my find out what is wrong. I am open to suggestions on what i can do to fix any of these.
Thanks for reading

2024.05.13 19:05 SeaHuckleberry5670 "Monkey Mayhem" - A Fortnight - WOALOM - Florida!!! - Cassandra - 28 Days Later - Crossover Episode

Disclaimer: This is definitely a more out there theory / reference point but I think you all might enjoy it!
To begin, someone here mentioned that Taylor is waiting to do something 2 fortnights away from the initial release of TTPD since it was a double album. Two fortnights is 28 days.
This made me think of the movie "28 Days Later" a post apocalyptic horror film that was born from the inspiration of "Night of the Living Dead" a zombie horror film. Immediately upon reading that, Zombie Taylor popped into my head.
Zombie Taylor visual at the end of the \"WAOLOM\" performance at the Eras Tour
2 fortnights away from the initial TTPD release date takes us to 5/17, which we know she's easter egged into being a significant date for something.
Also, Zombie Awareness Month just so happens to be celebrated every May to raise awareness about the potential challenges and risks of a zombie outbreak.
Upon further research I noticed some similarities between the cover of 28 Days Later & the scenes in the movie itself when compared to visual's from the WAOLOM performance & the Fortnight MV
The cover of 28 Days Later vs a visual we get during the WAOLOM performance at the Eras Tour
The infected monkey in 28 Days Later chained to a bed in a hospital vs Taylor chained to a bed in the Fortnight MV
The Monkey with it's head wires vs Taylor with her electroshock
The doctor who experiment on the monkey trying to find a cure for the virus vs The doctors in the Fortnight MV who experiment on Taylor trying to find a cure for her queerness
The caged infected monkey
Now I shall be referencing parts of the plot from 28 Days Later to show you my unhinged theory
"November 1, 2002: (Day 1, Exposure) - Three animal rights activists unknowingly set free chimpanzees infected with the "Rage" virus at an animal research laboratory in Cambridgeshire, England"
"Female Rage The Musical" - Taylor Swift when referring to the TTPD set on the Eras Tour
"it’s unleashed in Great Britain after an infected chimpanzee is freed from its cage in a laboratory in Cambridge by a group of animal rights activists."
Monkeys screaming and banging on their cage in the song "Florida!!!" = Closeted Taylor = Chimpanzee (There are chimpanzee populations in Florida the state)
"You caged me" - WAOLOM
Animal rights activists = Gay Rights Activists?
"Within seconds of exposure after freeing the enraged chimp, one of the activists succumbs to the virus & immediately infects another. Over the following hours and days, it spreads rapidly and becomes an epidemic, resulting in total societal collapse"
Sounds like what might happen to the music industry if a mass movement occurred.
"November 14, 2002: With cases of the Rage virus quickly approaching London, England, and nearing Manchester and Liverpool"
Guess who is playing a show in Liverpool on June 14. 28 days after 5/17
“November 28, 2002: - Shortwave radios pick up a transmission from Wales. It is a hauntingly beautiful rendition of Nearer, My God, to Thee. Breaking glass and snarling are heard in the background before a final: "Goodbye all!"”
“I wanna snarl and show you just how disturbed this has made me” - WOALOM

"I was in my tower weaving nightmares / Twisting all my smiles into snarls" - Cassandra

Is Taylor, the monkey infected with "Rage" who's going to infect other closeted artists to come out & cause the music industry to have a total societal collapse, going to be set free 5/17 & go on a 28 day rampage until she arrives in Liverpool where she says goodbye to her closeted self?
Thank you for indulging!

2024.05.13 18:56 AlexXLR I have an old laptop I want to turn into a machine for low-spec Steam gaming, how should I proceed? Interested in Linux/Proton

I have an absolutely trash Windows laptop that is probably ten years old in my closet that my parents ditched. It takes 2 minutes to open Chrome, is probably riddled with viruses and has very little free storage on it. What's the best way to turn this into a usable Steam machine, preferably with clean storage? I am not afraid of installing Linux and I'm a pretty sophisticated computer user, but the less steps/clicks to do it the better given I have pretty limited free time. Formatting the drive is no problem, there are no files on this that I will need later.
I have a Steam Deck and it will be something of a companion device to it also (have some mods in mind to copy between devices), so bear that in mind if it possibly matters. I also have a few USB keys lying around if one needs to be turned into an install drive, etc.
