2023.08.17 19:37 alrirra CoreJourney's three pillars!

CoreJourney is a semi-anarchy server: here are its three pillars!
1 ) MINIMAL VANILLA ALTERATION
The server doesn't intend to alter any Vanilla mechanics. It just adds its small peculiar "hardcore multiplayer" mechanic on top of them and a couple commands to make it a bit less unbearable. All mobs/redstone farms should work as expected. As with every server, some exploitable mechanics must be blocked: only these are blocked: tnt duping, autofishing, lapis and quartzs trading, turning villagers into zombie villagers. The server is usually updated to the latest version of Minecraft as soon as it's safe and stable, with as little limitations as possible to the newly introduced mechanics.
2 ) MINIMAL ADMIN INTERFERENCE
The admin did never and will never interfere with the gameplay: players' items, progresses and interactions with the world and with each another will never be reset or altered by him. There are only two exceptions to this: 1) in case of a game breaking issue that itself alters the former, the admin will intervene to the extent of restoring the server's unaltered state as possible; 2) in case of deaths caused by server-side problems, the admin can be contacted and will revive and give back everything but items when available. The admin may award players prizes solely based on merit/prestige in rare special occasions, but they will never give real gameplay advantages.
3 ) MINIMAL BANNING
Chat reporting is disabled and basically everything is allowed: griefing, pvping... A good AntiCheat/AntiXray is put in place which can block and kick detected players, but never ban them. Cheats that aren't detected by it like world downloaders, minimaps and entity esp are allowed. Players can only get banned in the following three extreme circumstances: 1) if they dupe or exploit the server in other ways to bypass the AntiCheat/AntiXray measures for cheating purposes; 2) if they intentionally lag the server; 3) if they constantly and quickly spam the chat in a bot-like way or publish content illegal in the EU.

2022.11.22 22:14 Noble_Radical Autofisher (Python Script)

Leveling up the fishing skill in this game takes a while. I don't really want to fish. At the same time, I want 10% dodge chance.

Enter the Autofisher!

I wrote a python script that fishes for you, as long as you just leave your computer running while doing something else.
My friends liked this program, so maybe you will too.
Installation Instructions:
  1. Install Python (if you haven't already) here.
  2. Run the batch script (it installs all of the required python libraries) or install the required libraries yourself.
  3. Run the python script when you want to autofish.

2022.09.19 03:05 Guilhermuss Os mods "Client-Side" que eu uso no servidor de Altacraft / Java - Fabric - 1.19.2

Os mods
Olá, Antônio Lima aqui (@Guigss no Discord).

-Caso eu encontre algum outro mod interessante irei atualizar aqui o tópico, então fique esperto!

Setinha indicando onde apertar
Setinhas indicando as coisas

Edit 28/09: As vezes desativo, as vezes ativo.

https://preview.redd.it/53sy59p1moo91.png?width=1919&format=png&auto=webp&s=457aabfe8de549c7e525e588ed5546fd09ece931
https://preview.redd.it/pedl7qdbmoo91.png?width=427&format=png&auto=webp&s=54e47d3f5f7e2a3639a132327e06c1f181a0ae38
https://preview.redd.it/ruhoedn2noo91.png?width=319&format=png&auto=webp&s=9624a2043c4f713e58f0a799ea491c43910d3705

-Better Third Person melhora a terceira pessoa do Minecraft.

https://preview.redd.it/r0y34hi5epo91.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=e6a185479092fe307d40a36cf8d66c7c7f65d04e

E me segue no Twitter!!!

Nos vemos em AltaCraft!

2022.06.18 03:35 DemonGamesXIII Some bosses are not counting as defeated [tmodloader 1.4]

EDIT: Decided to test the mods listed below myself by disabling all mods, adding HERO's mod for easy access to boss summons and high-level gear, and re-enabling mods one-by-one. The culprit: Level+. Not entirely sure why it's prevent boss deaths from counting properly, but disabling the mod fixed the issue. Original post continues below:
Keeping it simple: some bosses are not counting as defeated when killed (eg. Eye of Cthulu) while other bosses are counting as defeated just fine (eg. Eater of Worlds). Unsure what might be causing it, but it's annoying as I am running both AlchemistNPC Lite and The Stars Above so I can't utilize those two mods for EoC-related stuff (or potentially other bosses).
Modlist for those interested (all mods were downloaded from Steam Workshop): AlchemistNPC Lite, Autofish, Better Friendly NPCs, Boss Checklist, Bosses as NPCs, Census - Town NPC Checklist, Enraged Townsfolk, Level+, OmniSwing, Ore Excavator, Radiance, Recipe Browser, Shorter Respawn Time, Start with base, Subworld Library, Teleport All NPC Home, The Amulet Of Many Minions, The Clicker Class, The Stars Above, Upgraded Research, Which Mod Is This From, and Wing Slot Extra

2021.10.20 06:16 Ok_Explanation_48 Stupid Question, but I'm Stuck.

Hi. I'm new to Fabric, I'm usually a Forge user, but I wanted to try out Fabric because... well, I need a reason to get off my butt in 1.12.2 and move to the higher versions if I'm ever going to (I'm one of the old players from 1.7.10 or before, and I don't like all this new crap New Mojang is adding,) and since Fabric seems to be a good enough candidate to revive the OG mods in the future (someone already brought back Elemental Creepers) and it's only for Nether Update and farther, I thought that'd be a good place to start.
The reason why this is a help question is because I also happen to be a hardhatted girl who literally mods games until their computers explode (I'm getting a new desktop in November with better ram because the battery is blowing out and the fan is dying on my other modpack laptop, that's how hard I push to the line.) If computers gave off creeper particle effects every time they crashed catastrophically, pretty much every other week bomb squad would be at my house due to my modding habit.
So of course, when I started a new save of Fabric using Curseforge (which isn't my preferred launcher, but I didn't like any of the packs, and Curseforge is usually better for one click download,) I ended up with my first crash at 377 mods attempting to load. This is a part of being a hardhat for me by the way; crashes are expected, it just matters if you can get it to run at a playable speed in a reasonable timely fashion.
The first few bugs were relatively easy to fix; for one, for some reason one of the top mods on Curseforge has a major coding issue with it, not sure how that flew; it was Adorn, which is I believe a part of the BetterMinecraft Pack if not the second runner, All of Fabric. Apparently Adorn 1.16.5 was written with the same Kotlin as the 1.17.1 Fabric version, which made Adorn completely unplayable and Fabric crash to 0 on launch because it "couldn't find Kotlin" which was right there, just for the correct version; I fixed that by downgrading to the 1.14.0 version of the mod for 1.16. The next crash was because of a Colored Slime mod, which I thought could help me play around with redstone since I still use classic, bulky machines and I have no idea how to use Honey yet, but again, another miswrite; this time it was asking for the 1.17.1 version of Fabric, so that went in the trash bin because it was a relatively undownloaded mod (my threshold for crap is around 100k, but it looked good enough to include anyway, but... well.)
Now here's the part where it gets weird. I have my 377 mods now (that number was pulled from the fifth crash log, as I repeated some a few times to check that the mods were downgraded and deleted, and the logs earlier were redacted for some reason even after I added Blame to the mix to try to catch more details. So 377 was the number Fabric recalled after Adorn was downgraded, Colored Slime was removed, and Blame was added, yadda yadda yadda) and I run the game again after restarting the launcher to make sure the game's updated and everything, and I hit this error.

Conflicting versions found for fabric-api-base: used 0.3.0+f74f7c7d7d, also found 0.3.0+c88702897d

Now this error has been on this subreddit before, but here's a twist you have never seen before: there's only one Fabric API Jar in the Mod Folder. I scrubbed it, I checked like 5 times, there is no other Jar file here. I'm on MacOS Catalina, so I can see very clearly if I want to all the items; I can sort everything any way I want, I can make images larger, I can blow up the window so I can look at each individual folder slot. IT ISN'T THERE. So where is this version that it's pulling?
It's important to note why I'm playing 1.16.5 at this time; it's because I'm trying to make two apocalypse modpacks for my personal use, and two apocalypse mods exist in this version: Solar Apocalypse Refabricated and Primal Winter, essentially opposites to each other. I prefer environmental challenges over five hundred mini-bosses, and these provide a good challenge. This pack is the Primal Winter pack.
So, here we are. I'm hoping you guys can help me, especially after dealing with my manic writings (I'm having a weird day, so I can't really tell if this is normal or not, but hopefully it comes out normal!) And I hope this is fixable. I hope to hear back from you all soon!
I do still have the log information, so of course I'll put it in, here it is:

(Final note, and then I promise I'll shut up, but this is important, I promise; this log was written in under 15 seconds; the time it took to hit "play" on the official Minecraft Launcher, for it to disappear, then reappear with an exit code 0 was less than 15-20 seconds. So I hope that is helpful. And no, I'm not running a server, I just have some stuff that works on servers, I don't know why SemVer is acting up.)

2021.09.06 08:54 Davyq9 Some mods won't show up in-game

Hey guys! I downloaded Forge&Fabric for my #Minecraft and such mods as 'Betterportals', 'Autofishing' and 'NewMobs', I've also placed them in the MOD folder but for some reason some won't show up in-game, as an example: ''My mod for better trees works perfectly, but my mod for new mobs don't.''
Can somebody help me with this please?

2020.08.20 08:34 Xechorizo McFishy - AFK Fishing Script for Minecraft 1.16+ [AutoHotkey]

Bummed out by AFK fishing nerfs in Minecraft 1.16+? Don't wanna build a redstone monster that's five times slower than the old methods? Wanna AFK fish like before, without server or client plugins?
Try McFishy. I made it for me, but figured I'd share. Instructions are on the GitHub page for setup and use. This requires AutoHotkey, Capture2Text 3.9, and of course the McFishy script. Note that to get treasure, you still need open water if playing vanilla.
Let me know on any suggestions. As a first release, there's bound to be some weirdness.
Enjoy!

Update: I've stepped away from vanilla and into Fabric, where better solutions already exist. I will not be supporting this tool moving forward.

It may be clunky to set up, but it works for me and have had multiple reports that it works for others, too. Read the GitHub readme, and if someone makes a setup video, I'll link it here. If you want to fork it, do. If you find something better, tell me and I'll link it here.
Some other solutions:
For Forge or Fabric: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/autofish
For LiteLoader: http://www.9minecraft.net/autofish-mod/

2020.02.25 18:17 AldousWatts Scripting Engine for Melvor Idle - Browser Add-on

Hey all, back again with another extension, this time it's only automation & UI tweaks. It's a kind of spiritual successor to Melvor Idle Helper and Melvor Super Control Panel, which seem to be defunct. Hope this helps someone out!

Update: SEMI is now v0.3!

Download from Mozilla add-on database.
Check out the source code and modify/install yourself.

It's a Firefox and Chrome browser extension for the fun idle web game Melvor Idle.

This add-on/extension helps you automate certain aspects of the game, and adds certain useful features, combining many scripts into one. Toggle each one on and off individually from inside the game. * Auto Replant and Percent Accuracy by Arcanus * AutoBonfire by Dream * Auto Mine & Auto Sell Gems by Strutty & others? * AutoSlayer by Bubbalova: automates Slayer tasks, optionally automatically equips mirror shield or magic ring. * AutoCombat: eat food and loot automatically, exit combat if you're out of food/ammo/runes. * AutoCombat Options: Toggle auto eat and loot * Calculate number of selected potions needed until next level button in Herblore page * Thieving calculators and tooltips by RedSparr0w (scavenged from Melvor Idle Helper) * Auto-cook: permanently unlocked Cook All button in the Cooking skill page * XHP script by Breakit
Added in 0.1.1:
So many more additions. Check the readme for full list of changes.
Thanks to everyone who writes scripts for Melvor and provides them to others!
This add-on is Chrome compatible, but I am unable to publish the extension through the Chrome web store at this time. However, you can easily install the extension in Chrome. Follow the directions on the source code readme here.

2018.09.09 08:59 Redmag3 Should afk be allowed?

Afk mechanics have received a bad rap from this server traditionally, and generally there is little discussion about this rule until a player is banned at an inopportune time for auto-fishing. I think it's time for a discussion about this rule, to see if it addresses a need, or if it's something we can do away with.
There are three general methods for the semi-autonomous generation of simple work in the game. This is what I mean by afking, more than simply a player not doing anything and taking space.
The first are physical key-presses. These include the f11 glitch, which allows keypresses to be considered 'pressed' when they physically aren't being, and taping down or putting a heavy object on a key, these are actions like repeatedly breaking a block.
The second are client side macro mods. These include macromod, autofisher, etc. These methods do simple actions repeatedly, it's a form of botting.
The third are redstone-assisted devices, like cobble gens, atk fishers, and mob grinders. These are the methods most recognizable to vanilla smp players.
When trying to figure out the value of a rule, it's best to identify the harms it seeks to solve.

To me, the following are reasons for the rule:

  1. Afking takes up server slot space, for players that are online 'in name only'
  2. Afking reduces the grind in the game, which can affect the server economy.
  3. Afking reduces the mental cost associated with breaking citadel reinforcements.

On the other side, there are reasons to abandon the rule.

  1. A large server population is a good draw for new players (even if players are afk, the server doesn't have global chat anyway), and server slots are relatively cheap if the server is a virtual machine.
  2. Afk-able materials can be planned for, so that the economy can handle and provide sufficient resource sinks for them. Materials that can be afked, like fishing loot, can be modified to have no xp,
  3. Adding more grind to the game does discourage a certain type of player, but not all players. It can be argued that afking is an equalizer that allows for a greater variety of personality types to engage in 'grindy' aspects of the game.
  4. There are people that don't find the grind in this type of server, to be fun, anti fun is anti growth.
  5. It's hard to police, it puts an additional burden on the mod team, and has often been hotly contested as a badmin crime when bans are issued during other drama.
  6. It is a very vulnerable activity, so while there may be benefits to doing it, players also have the ability to punish it by pearling players caught unawares. In keeping with the spirit of the genre, I think other nations can police this if it's seen to be an issue, by killing and pearling opposing afkd players.
  7. It's easily accessible to all players, even without downloading specific mods, there are many Redstone designs on YouTube for afk farms. This means no one group is generally more advantaged, xray clearly advantages the hacker, but autofish can be accomplished easily with minimal Redstone.
Now I will admit to being biased against the rule, I don't think the mod team needs to concern themselves with policing this, if it's balanced before it becomes an issue. In fact I think players have adequate ability to punish others for doing it, if it becomes problematic.
Allowing afking would boost our server numbers making us more attractive, and would reduce the grind for activities like stone mining, which gives players more time for building and having fun.
I do really want to hear everyone else's opinions on it, do you think it's a rule that's outlived its usefulness, or does it address an issue I haven't thought of?
Please discuss

2018.02.19 18:42 TheAwesomeMutant SMAPI for Linux, modded keybinds don't work.

Been racking my head for an hour now... So I decided to get into modding the game, specifically to get a cheat menu. A quick google search showed CJB's cheat menu. Download and install SMAPI, install CJB's cheat menu, press p, and it doesn't work. I tried a couple other of his mods, and still, they didn't work. Tried an auto fish mod, it worked! Yay!
At that point I decided to try someone elses mod with custom keybinds, and it didn't work.
Heres my terminal output:
[SMAPI] Mods go here: /home/personpersonman/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Stardew Valley/Mods Setting breakpad minidump AppID = 413150 Steam_SetMinidumpSteamID: Caching Steam ID: 76561198238454518 [API loaded no] [SMAPI] Loaded 7 mods: [SMAPI] AutoFish 1.0 by WhiteMind Auto play fish minigame and fishing rod auto hit.
