This is my speculation based on a couple facts, it’s been rolling around in my head for a couple weeks and I think it makes sense.
  1. Big players in the finance sector have million dollar algorithms that can execute a hundred thousand trades in the blink of an eye. The technology they utilise is curated by mathematicians and software engineers and psychologists from top level schools. They get news early, know what other big players are up to, we know they know what we are doing in the market at all times, they even pay for our orders in order to front run and direct them to places other than the lit market.
  2. 90%-95% of retail orders go off exchange or to dark pools/wholesalers/gets internalized according to SEC Chair Gary Gensler. Retail buy pressure is not allowed to influence the price because we hardly, almost never, reach the lit exchanges. All my buys from Revolut were routed ‘XOFF’ which is off exchange, almost all my buys on IBKR were on DARK, ARCA, ISLAND (which seems to be actually fucking Instinet in a trench coat their history is very interesting) and DRCTEDGE. Very few are NSYE.
So my thought putting those two together is that when GameStop sold shares to the market on two separate occasions to eliminate long term debt and build some cash on hand, retail was not the one buying those shares. It was the shorts, who are still underwater to the tune of several multiples of shares outstanding. The company got a billion dollars and wipes out debt and shorts got a drop of water while they’re in a desert that stretches as far as they can see.
Given all we have learned about the market and its mechanics so far, I really, really doubt retail buys were routed to lit exchanges and allowed to buy real shares when the ATM offerings were taking place at $140-$300+. No way we would have been allowed to get our hands on shares fresh out of the oven when HF and their algorithms needed every real share they can get.
We hear about how retail saved the company and gave them a lifeline after the sneeze by buying up the stock, but I think the company (Ryan Cohen and his handpicked and refreshed board at this point in time) played shorts, capitalised on their obligation and NEED to buy real shares in order to bulletproof the company through very slight dilution. Don’t forget GameStop bought back shares at all time low prices before the sneeze, and then sold at highs after the sneeze. Brilliant play by them and I’m glad to be bucked up alongside them for the ride.

Highlights of the Field Work
At the Desmaraisville South and North Properties, the field work is scheduled to commence late May 2024. The field programs will consist to: 1) evaluate several gold showings located within or at vicinity of the Opawica-Guercheville and the Wedding-Lamarck corridor of deformation where previous exploration works have returned very high-grade gold intersections in drilling and channel sample with values of 234.0 g/t over 0.4 m and 582.0 g/t Au over 0.53 m respectively, 2) map and sample outcropping areas with potential near surface gold bearing structures on both properties, 3) assess low-density circular features (Bouguer anomalies possibly corresponding to late felsic intrusions like the O'Brien Syenite Intrusion) interpreted from the high-resolution airborne gravity survey, 4) evaluate OreVision® 2D IP conductors and resistivity anomalies at the Desmaraisville South Property and 5) map and re-sample old gold bearing trenches to better assess their gold potential (Figure 1). Any positive results from these programs will help the Company to better focus and prioritize its diamond drill targets. The proposed 9,000 m drill program will commence later this year.

2024.05.16 13:55 Mat987654321 Here's my 2 cents on $GME yesterday/today

Okay so just so i can cover my ass a tad, this is my opinion based on the things i've been researching,
Yesterday we had a big dip in the GME stock resulting in it closing around 18%. The volume of shares traded yesterday according to yahoo finance (https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/GME). There is a company called Fintel which documents volume of shares traded etc etc which i think quite a few of you guys must be familiar with. It is mostly useless as it requires subscriptions and payment to show any kind of somewhat useful information.
Here you can see the Funds which are Shorting GME (https://fintel.io/sosh/us/gme) 2 of them had closed their positions on the 14th most likely due to Margin calling from their heavily leveraged positions. Now according to this tool 'Fintel' 51,845,626 of the volume yesterday were short positions. which means we should have been dominating the market in the sense with the ratio being 47.77 of shorts and the rest Longs.
When we make the stock go up even by 5-10% at this price point, there is going to be a few Shorters that are going to get margin called, when that happens and their account is basically insolvent to close their position they purchase any shares which are available which could be 300 @ 35$ and 2 shares at 120$. (That part i'm around 80% confident with, if you can correct me if i'm wrong I do love the opportunity to learn so please let me know.) Due to the crazy pre-market we are seeing this morning, I think that Friday will most likely be the day were we will see the boom as people get paid in turn a fresh amount of millions of $ will come from new volume pushing us to 50$ and above. The only issue the past day and today is simply from the lack of volume we are producing.
I personally have held this stock since 2022 and I do believe essentially that the amount of shorters has created as Roasting Kitty said himself yesterday 'Pressure' which essentially us Buyers are the ones adding to the pressure as well as the shorter's, we just gotta make sure that we are not the ones underbuying.
Thats my Two Cents anyways..
TLDR: Make sure you buy as much as you can in this Dip, you may feel like Shitting Bricks but:
Its not going to be like it is for long my dear Brothers/ Sisters for we can indeed reach the moon
