UK reporting restrictions aside, it is this sentiment that riles up so many of us. We have spent (far, far too many) hours poring over each and every detail of the case and trial reported in the press - some of us for years. The accounts of the parents and the pathology/ radiological evidence of deliberate harm to these defenceless little babies is absolutely gut-wrenching and the stuff of nightmares. We also have the utmost respect for the jury who no doubt will be very traumatised after suffering through hundreds and hundreds of hours of distressing testimony and evidence over a trial that lasted the better part of a year. The saga of Lucy Letby has been one of the most horrifying in modern history that I have ever encountered. I am a medical specialist and the thought that someone could commit such atrocities under our noses is terrifying. I have worked with countless young nurses just like Lucy. But yet, it has happened before that healthcare practitioners have committed the worst of the worst - murder of their vulnerable patients. And it WILL happen again. To think otherwise is simply naive.
Lucy Letby was afforded a top barrister and legal team via the British public purse for her defence, as are all accused. All accused persons are entitled to a barrister and legal team of equal qualification and reputation to that of the prosecution. Letby got this. She is also entitled to raise an appeal, which she is doing. For now, we respect the work of police, prosecution, former jury and the current court system. Once reporting restrictions are lifted, we can discuss any compelling new evidence introduced. But please, any journalist relying on Richard Gill and Sarrita Adams needs to have a good, hard look at themselves. Hence the resistance and animosity you have met in this sub.
The internet is a vast, wild west. If you wish to discuss the article further, go to some place whose mods do not have the same respect and consideration for the parents, deceased and surviving infant victims, the police, prosecution and jury. Please tell me if I’m seeing things. I’ve been watching wolves basketball for years. I said all season the only team I’d be alright losing to is Denver. Beat the suns, I’m feeling good about Denver, but still feel as though I wouldn’t be disappointed losing to them.
However, I have never seen referees or umpires consistently and systemically fix games as hard as they do in the NBA. You have moments in other sports. Denver and Minnesota are not reffed on the same basis. Again, I, as I have all year, have no idea what constitutes a foul in the modern nba. When you look at trips to the line last game, and the contact that results in free throws, the contact is DRASTICALLY different. Denver was fouling every single posession in the paint, as they have since game 2. We absolutely locked their asses up by punching them in the mouths game 2, and we haven’t been allowed to play a single minute of defense like that since.
Since game 2, all of our bigs are getting in foul trouble while simultaneously being buttf*cked on both sides of the ball with jokic elbows, Aaron Gordon arm rakes, Jamal Murray throwing BOTH elbows into guys posting him up, etc etc etc. Yet we get called for 3 straight charges when the first two were marginal, glancing blows to moving defenders?
Obviously, the wolves began to fall apart late last night. I’m not discounting that. But to be honest, when we had to challenge a clean block 2 minutes into the game after they had gotten away with much much more physical defense, did anyone think we had a chance? Imo, that was a bare minimum 20 point swing, just due to the fact each team was essentially playing a different sport.
I suspect game 6 will be the “best” reffing of the series for us. In minnesota to force game 7? I guess that’s my only hope. Doesn’t even feel like there’s a point to watching this series atp, though I watched them when they were 15th so I’m still grateful for this team. I don't really know whether I should be turning to reddit for advice or not but here I am.
My (25F) partner, Jamie (24F), have been together for just over a year now. She's recently reconnected with an old friend, Don (35M).
I don't consider myself a very jealous person. I can feel jealous on occasion, and I think that's natural. Up until recently I've never really felt off or jealous of any if my partners friendships. I like her friends and will invite them out, etc, if my partner is coming out with me and my friends. Usually, she does the same.
Don is different. I am not "allowed" to hang out with Don or even talk to Don unless Jamie is around. Don had my number due to a medical emergency, and when he text me due to something unrelated I was told under no uncertain terms that I was not allowed to reply. That he had my number for one reason and one reason only. It was then I fount out that Don is apparently the reason Jamie's last long term relationship fell apart.
Which, in my mind was fair enough and made enough sense to me. I wouldn't make things worse or go behind her back to contact him or anything. I was just happy for her because she seemed happy about reconnecting with an old friend.
However, all I feel now is upset and frustrated at the situation. It's now at the point where, despite the fact we've recently moved in together, I see her far less than I did when we lived separately. If she is home, Don's usually there.
Don is always there. If she's not working, she's hanging out with Don. If she's not with Don, they're texting and calling right up until like 3am. If she's ever doing anything now, it's almost always with him.
When she needs help with things, I offer to help yet the response is almost always 'Don's already agreed to it'. This has been getting to me the most, she's asking Don before she even mentions these things to me.
The one that hurt the most was when she was telling me about an incident that had really upset her, and she told me she had called Don about it first.
I'm her partner, why is she going to him first?
Now she's been getting upset because we never seem to spend time together, which bothers me because I'm actually working less at the moment and have been asking her to do things but whenever it gets to the day to go out, or spend time together suddenly Don's asked her to do something. I get home from work and she's out, she doesn't get back until after midnight.
She's adamant that he's just a friend and she would never "see him like that". Yet, something just isn't sitting right with me. I don't see her often enough to know whether she sees him like that or not.
It's been three days in a row now that she's said we'll spend the evening after I finish work together and watch a film and have a nice dinner.
I've only seen her when she's woken me up coming back in at 1am, and seen her asleep as I leave for work.
I just don't know what to do about the situation.

Hi all,
First, this is a long post, and for that I apologize. I have a lot on my mind I’m trying to process right now. I’m also a creative writing minor, so I realize this will come across as a story.
I attend a fairly conservative college where most of the students being Christian. I myself am not religious, and due to the environment I try to keep that fact to myself so as not to be rude or disruptive. Some people do know about my lack of belief, and I’ve had mixed responses from them when they learn. Some want to convert me, others are rather nonchalant about it.
The reason I am writing is because I recently had a conversation with one of my literature professors that has left me wondering how I should respond. The conversation started after I asked him a follow up question to something he mentioned about the Bible: “That it’s the greatest story about the human condition humanity ever told.” For context, he’s been a Catholic his entire life.
My follow up question to him after class was this: “But if it’s just a story, why should we believe it, especially when there seem to be so many contradictions within it?” This tends to be my first question when someone makes a claim about the Bible, and it is born partly out of curiosity (I genuinely want to know why, as no Christian I’ve talked with has given me a good answer to it) and partly as a challenge, as I don’t want to see him wasting his life worshipping something that isn’t true. Perhaps this is not the best motivation, but it is what sparked my question.
He didn’t answer right away, but when he did this is (roughly) what he said: “My favorite story is William Faulkner’s The Sound and the Fury. I think it, while being fictitious, presents a deep understanding of human nature. I read it to understand the characters, and, by understanding them, hopefully learn a little bit more about myself and others in the process. Does it matter if it is true? Depends on what you mean by true. If you mean it in the sense of “this actually happened,” then you will be disappointed by a lot of literature. But if you mean it as “this reveals an important quality of human condition,” then I think it is very true.” He then chuckled and added, “Your question reminds me of a quote one of my professors told me when I was a student: ‘Everything in the Bible is true; some of it actually happened.”
This surprised me, as this is the first time I had really talked with someone who didn’t take the Bible (specifically the creation story) literally. I clarified with him to make sure I understood him correctly, and he affirmed what I said.
I probed him a bit more about that, asking if the fact that it was written by humans makes it less trustworthy. Why should we place so much faith in something that was written by mere men? I figured he would say something like “God wrote the Bible,” as that is what people I know have said.
He paused again and thought. His eventual response was this (if I recall correctly): “I have two reasons for why I believe in the Bible, one reason for believing in God, and one additional reason for why I am Catholic. The first reason for why I believe in the word of the Bible is because I think it is written by God. Unfortunately, that isn’t the most convincing reason even for myself, as why should I believe it is written by God? This leads to my second reason, which is that I simply find the story of the Bible presents to be the most beautiful and brilliant work to ever exist. I have spent years studying the intricacies of the Bible simply because I find its underlying themes and its story of human failure and promise for redemption to be gripping and compelling. Shakespeare doesn’t even come close, in my opinion. If it’s not written by God with human hands, then I don’t know what is. But this still is built upon believing that God exists, so let’s go to why I think that.
"The way I see it, faith is a natural part of human life. It is impossible to find a functional person who doesn’t trust something, and trust is one of the pillars of faith, so similar in fact that I view it as faith. If everything in the world is man-made and artificial, without divine influence, I think at the very least I would still choose to believe in the word of the Bible because I find it the most beautiful thing in the world. A large part of the reason I believe in God is because I think it is natural to have faith in something. If I am going to have faith in something no matter what, I want my faith to be in something beautiful, intellectually rigorous, and good for humanity.
“This leads into my reason for being Catholic, which is in large part it is because I think it presents the most holistic, beautiful, and practical theory for human success. Everything it teaches is geared toward human success, both individually and socially. People might disagree with what the Catholic Church defines as “human success,” but I think the Catholic Church is onto something.”
I asked him to elaborate, and he explained how the Catholic Church (if I understand correctly) places great emphasis on God’s first two commands to Adam and Eve: “Be fruitful and multiply.” “Multiply,” he explains, “sounds like what it says: make more humans.” This is not to say every male and female should hook up, but rather that we as a society should be concerned about the “continuation of our species.”
This command is to be taken hand in hand with the next one: “Be fruitful.” Making lots of babies isn’t the point--the point is to make lots of “good” humans. What does he mean by ‘good?’ “That,” he shrugs, “is where a lot of people disagree. I myself am not entirely sure how to describe ‘good’ humans, but I’ll try. I could say ‘love’ is the measure of a 'good' human, but even there people disagree with what ‘love’ is. I think love, however, is fundamentally about willing the best for the other, to the point of being willing to lay down your life for that person. An enduring society that produces those types of people is one that I would say is a good society, and I think people who take the ideals of Catholicism seriously and live them out as intended are the most likely to do that.”
I asked him about the abuse that the LGBTQ community has had to endure at the hands of Christians, and how the Catholic Church does not recognize same-sex marriage and calls those people sinners. I also asked about how denying abortion access to women is loving to them. He winces at this, and says this in reply: “A lot of people say and do terrible things in the name of Jesus and 'love.' The Catholic Church’s official teachings do not say we should be cruel to LGBTQ members or to women who have had or want an abortion. Unfortunately, people are people and people are often hypocrites, many without realizing it. When it comes to the LGBTQ community, the Catholic Church does not say ‘being homosexual is a sin,’ it says that homosexuality is a disordered desire. The ‘sin’ comes from acting on that desire, as the Catholic Church holds that all sexual acts should be reserved for the opposite sex as a unitive and potentially procreative act within the security of monogamous marriage between a man and a woman. This goes back to “be fruitful and multiply:” Sex is so very pleasurable because it is extremely important for reproduction, which is what all life, in general, tries to do. Since the sexual act has been shown scientifically to significantly rewire the human brain, shouldn’t we try to be as careful as we possibly can be with it and make sure it is used for its intended purpose: to make babies? That is part of the Church’s practical reasoning for why homosexual acts (and extramarital and non-unitive sex) are not to be encouraged or endorsed by the Catholic Church.
"Many Christians, unfortunately, forget the lessons of the Gospel stories of the woman about to stoned and the woman at the well: those two woman were isolated and outcast from their homes for their sexual acts; one of them was about to be killed it. What happens to these women is intended to be viewed as unloving. Jesus, however, befriends them despite them ‘objectively’ sinning. He never endorsed their behavior, but he still treated them with respect and love. Even if people today might argue those women did nothing wrong, the point of those stories is that Jesus considered them ‘sinners’ and yet he loved and befriended them anyway. That is literally what Jesus was doing in every city he went to: Spending time with the people who were considered terrible sinners, not because he agreed with their actions but because they are human and thus deserve to be loved. I think Christians today too often forget that is the core message of the Jesus' teachings: to love one another.
“As for abortion, the Catholic Church’s position on that rests upon our emphasis on the inherent dignity of human life. The Catholic Church believes human life begins at conception. Operating under that view, abortion is murder and should thus be strongly discouraged and/or condemned. Personally, I think it should still remain a decision between a woman and her doctor, as the doctor is the only one with the medical expertise necessary to accurately say when an abortion is actually necessary to save the woman’s life. That, however, is a tragedy, and it is one the Catholic Church acknowledges is an unfortunate situation of ‘abortion is necessary to save a life that would be otherwise lost.’ Doctors need the confidence and ability to make difficult decisions without fear of being punished for it. That means there is a risk of abuse and malpractice, but that is the nature of trust.”
We were running out of time before he had to get to his next class, so I asked him one last question that was on my mind: “Can the existence of God be proved?”
He chuckled at this. “Some of my colleagues will likely disagree with me on this, but I personally don’t put a lot of stock in ‘proofs for God.’ I haven’t found one that convinces me, and I believe in God. I think they do a good job of suggesting God exists, but proving He exists? I don’t think so. I don’t think it’s possible to prove God’s existence to someone who doesn’t already believe in God. I think the most we can do is show is why belief in God is not illogical—that’s the role of apologetics. But I can’t say, with absolute certainty, that I am right. That’s part of why it is faith: We might be wrong. If we are wrong, then ‘we are of all people the most pitiable.’” (I had to look this up afterward, as he made it sound like a quote. He was quoting Paul’s letter (1 Cor:15-19) talking about what it means if Christians are wrong about their faith. It seems he was applying this quote to all people of faith who are wrong.)
He gave me an example of what he means by ‘impossible to prove:’ “Think of your paper for this class. You, hopefully, are writing about something that you think is true. You are speculating at what the author meant, at how the author thought, why the author wrote the book or scene the way he or she did, or any works or events that likely influenced the work you are studying. Can you know for certain that you are correct?”
My answer: “No. But I can find evidence for it that shows I probably am.”
His reply: “Exactly. It is the same way with God. I don’t think we can prove God definitely exists the same way you can’t prove, with 100% confidence, that your paper’s thesis is correct. I think there is a lot of evidence that suggests God does exist, but I can’t prove it. Belief in God is inductive, and therefore inherently uncertain. This is how the Catholic Church also understands “Natural Law” and “Moral Law.” We can’t really prove either of them exist, we just have a lot of evidence gathered from observing the world and humanity that we think strongly suggests a natural and moral law. So that leads me to here: I have never had a conversation with a person of faith like this before. Almost every response he had appealed to an intuition that he seemed fine with not everyone sharing. He's also the first Christian I've met who says he doesn't think God can be proved and doesn't seem bothered by that. I suppose my question for you is: What should I ask him? What should he clarify?

First, this is a long post, and for that I apologize. I have a lot on my mind I’m trying to process right now. I’m also a creative writing minor, so I realize this will come across as a story.
I attend a fairly conservative college where most of the students being Christian. I myself am not religious, and due to the environment I try to keep that fact to myself so as not to be rude or disruptive. Some people do know about my lack of belief, and I’ve had mixed responses from them when they learn. Some want to convert me, others are rather nonchalant about it.
The reason I am writing is because I recently had a conversation with one of my literature professors that has left me wondering how I should respond. The conversation started after I asked him a follow up question to something he mentioned about the Bible: “That it’s the greatest story about the human condition humanity ever told.” For context, he’s been a Catholic his entire life.
My follow up question to him after class was this: “But if it’s just a story, why should we believe it, especially when there seem to be so many contradictions within it?” This tends to be my first question when someone makes a claim about the Bible, and it is born partly out of curiosity (I genuinely want to know why, as no Christian I’ve talked with has given me a good answer to it) and partly as a challenge, as I don’t want to see him wasting his life worshipping something that isn’t true. Perhaps this is not the best motivation, but it is what sparked my question.
He didn’t answer right away, but when he did this is (roughly) what he said: “My favorite story is William Faulkner’s The Sound and the Fury. I think it, while being fictitious, presents a deep understanding of human nature. I read it to understand the characters, and, by understanding them, hopefully learn a little bit more about myself and others in the process. Does it matter if it is true? Depends on what you mean by true. If you mean it in the sense of “this actually happened,” then you will be disappointed by a lot of literature. But if you mean it as “this reveals an important quality of human condition,” then I think it is very true.” He then chuckled and added, “Your question reminds me of a quote one of my professors told me when I was a student: ‘Everything in the Bible is true; some of it actually happened.”
This surprised me, as this is the first time I had really talked with someone who didn’t take the Bible (specifically the creation story) literally. I clarified with him to make sure I understood him correctly, and he affirmed what I said.
I probed him a bit more about that, asking if the fact that it was written by humans makes it less trustworthy. Why should we place so much faith in something that was written by mere men? I figured he would say something like “God wrote the Bible,” as that is what people I know have said.
He paused again and thought. His eventual response was this (if I recall correctly): “I have two reasons for why I believe in the Bible, one reason for believing in God, and one additional reason for why I am Catholic. The first reason for why I believe in the word of the Bible is because I think it is written by God. Unfortunately, that isn’t the most convincing reason even for myself, as why should I believe it is written by God? This leads to my second reason, which is that I simply find the story of the Bible presents to be the most beautiful and brilliant work to ever exist. I have spent years studying the intricacies of the Bible simply because I find its underlying themes and its story of human failure and promise for redemption to be gripping and compelling. Shakespeare doesn’t even come close, in my opinion. If it’s not written by God with human hands, then I don’t know what is. But this still is built upon believing that God exists, so let’s go to why I think that.
"The way I see it, faith is a natural part of human life. It is impossible to find a functional person who doesn’t trust something, and trust is one of the pillars of faith, so similar in fact that I view it as faith. If everything in the world is man-made and artificial, without divine influence, I think at the very least I would still choose to believe in the word of the Bible because I find it the most beautiful thing in the world. A large part of the reason I believe in God is because I think it is natural to have faith in something. If I am going to have faith in something no matter what, I want my faith to be in something beautiful, intellectually rigorous, and good for humanity.
“This leads into my reason for being Catholic, which is in large part it is because I think it presents the most holistic, beautiful, and practical theory for human success. Everything it teaches is geared toward human success, both individually and socially. People might disagree with what the Catholic Church defines as “human success,” but I think the Catholic Church is onto something.”
I asked him to elaborate, and he explained how the Catholic Church (if I understand correctly) places great emphasis on God’s first two commands to Adam and Eve: “Be fruitful and multiply.” “Multiply,” he explains, “sounds like what it says: make more humans.” This is not to say every male and female should hook up, but rather that we as a society should be concerned about the “continuation of our species.”
This command is to be taken hand in hand with the next one: “Be fruitful.” Making lots of babies isn’t the point--the point is to make lots of “good” humans. What does he mean by ‘good?’ “That,” he shrugs, “is where a lot of people disagree. I myself am not entirely sure how to describe ‘good’ humans, but I’ll try. I could say ‘love’ is the measure of a 'good' human, but even there people disagree with what ‘love’ is. I think love, however, is fundamentally about willing the best for the other, to the point of being willing to lay down your life for that person. An enduring society that produces those types of people is one that I would say is a good society, and I think people who take the ideals of Catholicism seriously and live them out as intended are the most likely to do that.”
I asked him about the abuse that the LGBTQ community has had to endure at the hands of Christians, and how the Catholic Church does not recognize same-sex marriage and calls those people sinners. I also asked about how denying abortion access to women is loving to them. He winces at this, and says this in reply: “A lot of people say and do terrible things in the name of Jesus and 'love.' The Catholic Church’s official teachings do not say we should be cruel to LGBTQ members or to women who have had or want an abortion. Unfortunately, people are people and people are often hypocrites, many without realizing it. When it comes to the LGBTQ community, the Catholic Church does not say ‘being homosexual is a sin,’ it says that homosexuality is a disordered desire. The ‘sin’ comes from acting on that desire, as the Catholic Church holds that all sexual acts should be reserved for the opposite sex as a unitive and potentially procreative act within the security of monogamous marriage between a man and a woman. This goes back to “be fruitful and multiply:” Sex is so very pleasurable because it is extremely important for reproduction, which is what all life, in general, tries to do. Since the sexual act has been shown scientifically to significantly rewire the human brain, shouldn’t we try to be as careful as we possibly can be with it and make sure it is used for its intended purpose: to make babies? That is part of the Church’s practical reasoning for why homosexual acts (and extramarital and non-unitive sex) are not to be encouraged or endorsed by the Catholic Church.
"Many Christians, unfortunately, forget the lessons of the Gospel stories of the woman about to stoned and the woman at the well: those two woman were isolated and outcast from their homes for their sexual acts; one of them was about to be killed it. What happens to these women is intended to be viewed as unloving. Jesus, however, befriends them despite them ‘objectively’ sinning. He never endorsed their behavior, but he still treated them with respect and love. Even if people today might argue those women did nothing wrong, the point of those stories is that Jesus considered them ‘sinners’ and yet he loved and befriended them anyway. That is literally what Jesus was doing in every city he went to: Spending time with the people who were considered terrible sinners, not because he agreed with their actions but because they are human and thus deserve to be loved. I think Christians today too often forget that is the core message of the Jesus' teachings: to love one another.
“As for abortion, the Catholic Church’s position on that rests upon our emphasis on the inherent dignity of human life. The Catholic Church believes human life begins at conception. Operating under that view, abortion is murder and should thus be strongly discouraged and/or condemned. Personally, I think it should still remain a decision between a woman and her doctor, as the doctor is the only one with the medical expertise necessary to accurately say when an abortion is actually necessary to save the woman’s life. That, however, is a tragedy, and it is one the Catholic Church acknowledges is an unfortunate situation of ‘abortion is necessary to save a life that would be otherwise lost.’ Doctors need the confidence and ability to make difficult decisions without fear of being punished for it. That means there is a risk of abuse and malpractice, but that is the nature of trust.”
We were running out of time before he had to get to his next class, so I asked him one last question that was on my mind: “Can the existence of God be proved?”
He chuckled at this. “Some of my colleagues will likely disagree with me on this, but I personally don’t put a lot of stock in ‘proofs for God.’ I haven’t found one that convinces me, and I believe in God. I think they do a good job of suggesting God exists, but proving He exists? I don’t think so. I don’t think it’s possible to prove God’s existence to someone who doesn’t already believe in God. I think the most we can do is show is why belief in God is not illogical—that’s the role of apologetics. But I can’t say, with absolute certainty, that I am right. That’s part of why it is faith: We might be wrong. If we are wrong, then ‘we are of all people the most pitiable.’” (I had to look this up afterward, as he made it sound like a quote. He was quoting Paul’s letter (1 Cor:15-19) talking about what it means if Christians are wrong about their faith. It seems he was applying this quote to all people of faith who are wrong.)
He gave me an example of what he means by ‘impossible to prove:’ “Think of your paper for this class. You, hopefully, are writing about something that you think is true. You are speculating at what the author meant, at how the author thought, why the author wrote the book or scene the way he or she did, or any works or events that likely influenced the work you are studying. Can you know for certain that you are correct?”
My answer: “No. But I can find evidence for it that shows I probably am.”
His reply: “Exactly. It is the same way with God. I don’t think we can prove God definitely exists the same way you can’t prove, with 100% confidence, that your paper’s thesis is correct. I think there is a lot of evidence that suggests God does exist, but I can’t prove it. Belief in God is inductive, and therefore inherently uncertain. This is how the Catholic Church also understands “Natural Law” and “Moral Law.” We can’t really prove either of them exist, we just have a lot of evidence gathered from observing the world and humanity that we think strongly suggests a natural and moral law. Good morning everyone. Premarket yesterday, man, AMC was 13 and GME was 80! I was even hoping that I could get 12 puts and 75 dollar puts with July Expiration. A few minutes in, both stocks were already at their highs, I did not even put in a bid for AMC… I put in a bid for GME but it quickly fell below the 60 strike.
I do not blame anyone for trading hot money..
All I say is know the facts, so that you can plan an exit strategy and be prepared for anything.
I warned that AMC as a company is worth about 800 million. [In 2019 when there were 100 million shares, the stock was 7-10!!! By the way!]
GME is worth closer to 700 million. [For many years it was worth 1 billion or less and they were a growing company!]
I don’t hate on the company… I hate that they are crap companies! Those are the facts!
I want everyone to make money, always! I just don’t want anyone lied to… I don’t want someone brainwashing anyone with junk!

AMC yesterday agreed with a bond holder to convert 23.3 million shares for about 7 dollars to extinguish 164 million in debt.

A stock is a currency for a company when they do not have cash…
The stock market exists as a way for a company to get cash and for insiders to exit!!!
A stock was not created so traders can make money!
You need to come to this understanding.
Also, 90% of times a company does not need a vote to dilute shareholders thru a convertible bond… You must do DD and check each bond to see if they have a convertible option to swap for shares.. This is your job, not mines! Chances are when a company is in trouble they will do this, especially if they are out of ATM [At the market] AMC has about 355 million shares as of now, trust me, if the stock is hot they will do their best to unload the rest of the 200 million on retail… This is not up to AMC!
This is up to the bond holder!
You see, the bond holder agreed to 23.3 million shares at about 7 dollars. Now they are holding the bag! They will need the Apes to bid it up and hope to be able to unload the 23.3 on everyone…They will need a lot of volume…. When volume dries up, they will be stuck! No bond holder or person would want to agree to take tons of shares of something if they can not unload it. [Liquidity]
This should show you how dumb Ryan Cohen is… He is falling asleep at the wheel.
He has had authorization for 1 billion shares since March of 2022 and these pumps are when you unload to get cash… It is a crippling business… One where they only made a profit by firing people and cutting costs, this is not sustainable…
This is obvious as sales are at a 16 year low…. For the year sales were down 12% and for the quarter 20%! A Christmas quarter! WHAT A DISASTER!

These buys were because of a MCD roll out… Without an expected slow roll out by 2026 no way I would buy it! I checked weeks ago and the earnings are shakey. I checked the financials yesterday… They are ok, but 2-3 bad quarters and they are in trouble.. The sales are slowly growing 5-10% but they are just getting by, so a few bad quarters… But I want anyone that reads to follow my thesis and see why…
I don’t buy and pray… No hopium… Some people like to roll the dice… they should just say they are taking the risk..
I was a super bull on ZIM as it was 9 dollars because I could clearly see containers over 2,000. I posted DD on it… That was not risky to me! Especially under 10. GME and AMC is a pure gamble, you can make money but be prepared to lose it too.
I wish that retail could buy better quality stocks and that we could all make money safely… but I do not have that power…. They think Ryan Cohen, Adam Aron and Keith Gill are heros… people like who they like, trade what they will trade.. but when you shoot up a stock of a company in ruins

That shows skin in the game.. yes, it is just 4.5 million dollars, but these were not vested options/warrants [Adam Aron never uses his own cash, its free shares!!] Insiders at PSEC own 30% of the company! SKIN IN THE GAME!
Yes, I wish retail would take PSEC to 6.25-6.50 fair value, and I do get frustrated when they buy junk like CVNA but I do not have the power.. CVNA insiders dumping left and right. I believe the CEO has sold over 300 million worth of CVNA over the last 90 days! 17% growth at CVNA, decent! But the company is worth at most, 20! AT MOST! There is a ton of risk!
5 Trade Ideas:
ACMR YOU – Both of these companies scored a 99 on my grading score for earnings. I have 1 block of ACMR at 25.45 and do not mind trading another block… No position in YOU , last trade was 17.50 to 18
PSEC – I have 2,000 shares at 5.50 and 2,000 at 5.90. I would like to trade these in blocks for 10-15 cents each, earnings were good, not great, but you wont get great from a BDC company, I have also been getting my 6 cent monthly dividend
CVS – I will keep trading this, fair value is near 70… I have a block at 84 from 2/2023 unfortunately…. Last trade 54.75 to 56
PERI – They will be coming to the auction, before the end of the month and will use the 75 million by June 30th. I also have a block at 21.. But I will keep trading blocks
DNUT – I am in at 12 and 13.55, 1,000 shares each. I would like to make 25-50 cents on each trade, so I hope 12.25… My buys were strictly on the MCD roll out. I am in belief that with MCD sales will be up at least 25% when it is completed

I got contacted by an advisor from Swiss Life Select who wanted to advice me on my personal finances. As I was adamant on which parts I needed no help, she focused on investing and 3a pillar. She used a line of convincing based on disregarding indexes because you pay fees for algorithms, and in her opinion if you are going to pay, better to pay to actual people being there when the downs come to play. I should not go for heap but for quality, according to her.
So, her proposal for investing was an active fund by swiss life which was a fund of funds. She did not detail on the fees structure, but I could see 2% of each investment was going to fees. The fund itself was composed of 7 funds, and in order to show me their atractive returns she picked one randomly. It was a Pictet Robotics active fund that was active since 2016 returning a yearly average of 16%. The MSCI of reference was returning in that period a 12% if I recall. Almost 2% of TER.
I did not like this move, as I took a snapshot and on my own investigated the other funds, and oh surprise none came even close to that one she showed me. In fact that Pictet fund was a 12% of the total weight and the 2 funds bearing 40% were returning between 3 and 4% with a TER of over 1.5% each.
But the point of this post is to talk about an insurance 3a pillar, because I read here it is a scam and I'm not so sure about that.
So she proposed a product in which about 280CHF per year would go to a life insurance, and the rest go to an investment product, which is an active fund by UBS based on MSCI World which was returning a 9%. I believe this product also had the 2% comission on any investments and a 0.3% fee quarterly, so a little over 1.2% yearly. It is a worse product than others like finpension and most likely that UBS fund has not been active for long and will go in the long run closer to the 7%, but why is it a scam?
Again, I agree there are better options (I took finpension) but I only see it a worse product because of the fee structure and fund selection. A product that will most likely perform worse in the long run, but not a scam.
I read the mustachian and the poor swiss and I know their opinion, but what am I missing to consider it a scam? From what little she told me it is not even a bad product per se, just worse.

Whether due to Grant Morrison's particular way of telling stories, whether due to his strongly metaphorical writing or simply poor reading comprehension (something that seems to abound among comic book readers), there are many elements that are still a matter of debate about the same. submitted by alphariusomega123 to PowerScaling [link] [comments] For these reasons, I decided to make this article, where I will try to resolve the most frequently asked questions about this story, and above all, clarify the power of the Thought Robot. Without further ado, let's start by explaining the context and then what interests everyone. 1) WHAT HAPPENS IN FINAL CRISIS: SUPERMAN BEYOND?: Superman Beyond is, above all, a story about the concept of stories and the role of superheroes in them in the DC universe. For those who haven't read it, I'm going to do a super quick summary: during the Final Crisis, Lois falls seriously ill and is admitted to the Metropolis hospital. Then Superman is visited by Zillo Valla, one of the monitors, who offers him the chance to save her wife in exchange for helping her save the multiverse. Zillo has also recruited other Supermans from different universes with similar promises, including Overman, Captain Adam, Shazam from Earth-4, and Ultraman from the antimatter universe. Zillo's ship is attacked and ends up crashing into Limbo. There, Superman and Shazam find an infinite book that reveals the origin story of the monitors and about the enemy they face, known as Mandrakk, the dark monitor. When Mandrakk's forces attack Limbo, Captain Adam manages to contact the Monitor-Mind, and uses that knowledge to merge the consciousnesses of Superman and Ultraman, which ascend to a higher dimension (the sphere of the monitors) and activate the Thought Robot, a weapon created to combat Mandrakk. There, Superman is greeted by Monitor Weeja Dell, and the Monitors' true nature is revealed as parasites that feed on the Bleed. Mandrakk was banished for forcing them to confront this fact. However, they are not the same character. The first thing to know is that "Mandrakk" is the title by which the dark monitor is known, but it is not the real name of either of the two. 2024.05.15 10:41 kelseaxo Went to refill my ADHD medication and doctor stated I filled it twice in one month?!
Today I was due to pick up my prescription as it was last filled on 4/15 I realized I didn’t have any refills and I knew I should have had another script on file as my doctor writes three each visit. My doctors office then called me back stating I filled my prescription on 4/8 and 4/15… how is this even possible? And how would this even be allowed as a controlled substance? They are now saying I can’t get my prescription filled as “I have well over a two months supply” when I in fact do not- I only picked up the prescription on 4/15. The pharmacist is adamant that I picked up both prescriptions even though there was no okay by my doctor and no early fill or anything was on file, I never picked up that prescription they said I did on 4/8 for the same medication/ dosage/ everything…. So their mistake I have to suffer from? I’m not sure how to move forward as I am out of my medication and also being told I am lying… this medication should not have been dispensed like they are saying it was, shouldn’t they have some accountability since they are insisting that it was? (Though it was not…. But the blame they are putting on me and me being the one have to suffer from their mistake doesn’t seem fair) What can I do? Anything? Feeling extremely distraught.
