BNIB Spyderco SpyMyto x 2 (#432 & #424)
SV: $255 shipped
My buddy and I ordered them together from KnifeJoy. We both do not enjoy them, at all. Definitely well-made, but not our cup of tea. I got #432 (Top) and #424 (Bottom) for sale. They've been flicked open between 5 to 7 times and promptly put back into their pouches. No cutting, carrying, nor sharpening. The only issue I can find between the two of them is the tension on #424's pocket clip seeming less than ideal (Tried to show in pictures; have not pocketed, so would not know if it has any real bearing on retention). Unsure if a bit of tightening on the clip torx bit would solve the problem, but I'm not risking it and will leave it to the future owner to mess with. Comes with the pouches, pamphlet, sticker, and attached hang tag.
LNIB (Disassembled; cleaned) Green Thorn Inkosi Insingo Clone (Unmarked variant, VG-10)
SV: $65 shipped
Got this guy from the ol' Ali Ex. Quality clone, down to the spine crowning and action. It was covered in grease upon arrival, so I quickly disassembled, lubed, and reassembled. Has not seen any cutting/carrying/sharpening, save for the disassembly and a bit of flicking. Juxtaposed with a legit Inkosi, the only tell, save for the difference in markings, being the weight feeling slightly off. Definitely the most impressive clone I've held thus far. Comes with the greasy baggie and Green Thorn nylon pouch.
Lightly used/carried Civivi Elementum in Ultem/Blackwashed D2 "Piss Edition"

Carried in side pockets a handful of times. Cut a few sheets of paper and packets of Liquid IV I couldn't manage to tear open with my calloused thumbs. Has not been sharpened. No tangible signs of wear. Comes with pouch, box, stickers, baggie, everything.

This heavy guy is also off of the Ali Ex. A fun, bulky novelty. Has not seen cutting, carry, or sharpening. Wiped down the grease upon unboxing. Comes with original Jufule box and greasy baggie.

It candidly sucked being surrounded by constant reminders that you’d lost the genetic lottery. Sure, it was easier than some people thought to get around the world without powers; it wasn’t like the government expected everyone to be a speedster or to be able to fly. Hell, a hundred years ago, nobody even had powers. The infrastructure was there. Life went on.
That said, staying cheery about the hand I’d been dealt was difficult. Enhanced perception was useful for a lot of things, from party tricks to always reading the fine print, but next to flight? Next to teleportation?
I’d gotten hung up on movement powers because I’d taken the bus to the bar, and the only superpower buses had was being late.
I was specifically at the bar for the sake of a blind date set up by my best friend; Todd was about two times my size and could throw a car across the street. His powers did nothing to help me with his current obsession with my dating life, but here we were. I supposed it was a fair obsession. I hadn’t been trying.
It honestly made sense that Todd had been keenly aware of romance since he’d met his soul mate. See, a strange thing with powers was that when you were around your soulmate, they were inexplicably stronger. Todd had met Soo-jung when she’d been on vacation in Crescent three years ago. They’d been inseparable since, and he’d been able to throw a car down three blocks instead of across the street.
Or so he claimed. Nobody was eager to volunteer their car for a demonstration, or anything else heavy and expensive, for that matter.
For my part, I hadn’t spent a lot of time guessing what would happen if I met my soulmate. It was a common train of thought for some, but I never found that it stopped at any fun stations. Instead, I indulged Todd’s meddling because he was my friend and bad dates at least made good stories.
“Gimme a sec, I’ll grab us another round,” Todd announced as he pushed out from our table. “Emma said she’s going to be here soon.”
“You bought the last one.”
“Yeah, now you can buy two in a row once Emma gets here and look generous. Think about it, man.”
“Sure,” I answered, but Todd was already walking away from the table and toward the bar.
Soo-jung leaned in. “You know he’s trying, right?”
“I know, maybe a little too much.”
“You don’t hear the half of it.”
“Oh, good.”
“I had to tell him to calm down when it came to buttering you up to Emma,” Soo-jung explained as she took a sip from her drink. “Sometimes I wonder about him.”
“I’m surprised he says anything nice about me.”
“He’d never say it to your face.” She watched Todd at the bar instead of looking at me during our conversation.
“Does that mean you’ll do it for him?”
“He trusts me to keep his secrets.”
“How about I suggest things and read your reaction?” I asked.
Soo-jung frowned in response before she pointedly rolled her eyes. She knew that reading reactions was one of my party tricks. If you couldn’t be powerful, you could at least read a room.
“Okay, fine. What do you know about Emma?”
“Her last name’s Tavish.”
“That’s it?”
“She works with Todd.”
“I knew that. He kept telling me she was a co-worker.”
“Todd thinks she’s cute.”
“He told you that?”
“No, but he has high standards for you.”
“That’s all the detail you have?”
“Todd’s not allowed to talk about work at hom- Hey, honey.”
Todd was back at the table holding all three pints in one arm; he passed one to each of us despite Soo being less than halfway finished with her current drink. Once he’d finished distributing, he turned to Soo-jung and asked her a question in broken Korean.
He’d been trying to learn, and he was still struggling. Not that I knew the language.
“Yes,” Soo-jung responded in English, “we were talking about Emma; no Korean around Toby. It’s rude.”
“I thought you wanted me to practice?”
“You can practice at home.”
“So we were talking about Emma,” Todd jumped back to the previous topic instead of discussing his inconsistent study of Korean. “Awesome woman, perfect for you, man.”
“What makes you say that?” I asked.
“Oh, she sucks too.”
“Ah, thanks.”
“He means powers-wise,” Soo-jung stepped in.
“So you do know something about her,” I pointed out.
“Something? I’ve been telling Soo everything since we got in the car to come here.” Just as Todd finished, he flinched. Soo had kicked him under the table. “But it wasn’t much, really.”
“What do I get to know?”
“I don’t want to taint your expectations.” He pushed his empty glass away, swapping it with the new one. “But can I be serious for a second?”
I considered it. “Sure.”
“She’s like my boss’, boss’ boss. So best behavior.”
“Wait. Seriously?” I leaned in. Todd worked for the CPRU, which meant that she had to be a heavy hitter if she was high ranked in the city’s power regulation department. “She’s—”
“Not quite.” He backpedaled. “We share a building. She’s straight DPR.”
I blinked twice at that. “Way to set me up to fail.”
“You should believe in yourself,” Soo cut in.
“Todd I w—”
“And she’s here.” Todd had turned his attention away from me and toward his phone. “Hope you’re ready to meet your soulmate.”
“Honey, don’t set that expectation.”
The bar’s front door opened, and I was the only one who could hear it over the atmosphere. I glanced over, and there she was.
She was stunning by any definition, but especially mine. Maybe it was a strange way to describe someone, but she looked beautifully meticulous, from brunette hair to olive skin, to her light blue jacket; everything was in place, and everything about her was gorgeous. Assuming that was Emma, I owed Todd big time.
“Okay, that can’t be her, right?” I asked Todd. After a second, without a response, I checked to see if he was waving at her, but he was stock still, a stupid grin plastered over his face. “Todd?”
Holy shit. The DPR had some crazy people on their roster, but this- I waved a hand in front of Todd’s face and snapped my fingers, then caught the sound of a single cautious heel clicking against the floor.
I stood up from the table and looked back at the door. She’d taken one step into the bar but had gotten caught in the same shock I had. “Emma?” I asked.
She snapped her attention to me -god, her eyes were- but she just looked confused.
“Toby,” I explained, “I’m Todd’s friend.” I motioned over to Todd’s still body and took the first steps to say hello. “This is really impressive. I didn’t think this was possible. It’s cool to meet someone wh—”
“I’m not doing this,” she said. “This is impossible. How are yo—”
“Trust me, this isn’t in my…” We stared at each other for a moment. Somehow, time stopped more than it already was.
“Holy shit.” We both said it at once.
“So this isn’t you?” she asked. Her eyes were still meandering around the frozen bar instead of staying in the conversation with me.
“No, it’s not,” I walked along her gaze and ended up against the bar counter, “did Todd tell you what my power was?”
“He just told me you wouldn’t mind having me around,” Emma answered, which somehow just brought up more questions.
“Enhanced perception,” I grabbed a drink off of the bar to see if I could; As soon as I touched it, it seemed to animate back to life. “What do you mean, ‘mind having you around’?”
“I dampen powers,” she explained, a little quieter than anything else she’d said, “make them weaker, hard to use. The technical definition is long and wordy so…” She sighed as she watched me slosh the beer around. “It’s a lot of trouble, really.”
“Probably good for work,” I offered.
“Pretty much the whole reason I have my job, but Callum wouldn’t admit that.” She approached, but there wasn’t an open seat near where I was standing, nor could we ask for someone to move. “Callum is—”
“Callum Rehsman, head of the D.P.R for the past six years,” I stepped in, “sorry, comes with the perception thing.”
“Honestly, I’m just glad I don’t have to explain it,” Emma took to leaning against the bar instead of walking over to a seat. She undid the top button of her shirt, which was probably too high for a date, anyway. “Emma Terish. Ring any bells up there?”
“No.”
“And you’re?”
“Toby Vander,” I put down the beer to offer my hand, and it froze as soon as I let go. We both paid attention to that instead of the potential formal hello.
“So this isn’t you.” Emma reached for the glass and picked it up; once she did, it animated just like it had with me. “And it isn’t me…”
I swallowed nothing. We’d both said holy shit for a reason, but it felt impossible to admit it. Wasn’t there supposed to be a — Well, something? Anything?
Then again, we were stopping time, and what else could you ask for?
“Do you want a drink, Toby?” Emma asked. She vaulted herself over the bar with a frankly shocking amount of grace for someone in a pantsuit.
“Uh, sure.”
“I’d ask what you were drinking, but we might have limited options,” she was considering her new vantage point from behind the counter.
I took the opportunity to grab the drink I’d left behind on the table. “I’ll use the one I had.” I tapped Todd’s hand for posterity, and nothing happened to him. “Any idea what this might—”
“No idea,” she answered without letting me finish, “but my job involves dealing with unknown powers, so…” She tried to use the soda-gun and swore when it didn’t work. “You learn to roll with it until people cooperate.”
“You still think I’m doing this?”
“I know it’s not me, and there aren’t many options here with us,” she said as she ducked behind the bar and came back up with a lemonade cooler, “but I came here for a date, and I plan to have one. Been a long week.”
I returned to the bar, finding a seat now that she was on the other side. “I just need to establish that this isn’t me. I’m not trying to—”
“If it isn’t you and it’s not me stopping time around us, then someone is giving us a very private venue for our first date.”
“Isn’t that nice?”
“It really is.” She took a sip of her drink, then pulled it away before she had time to swallow. “Shit. Do you have cash?”
“I’ll cover you.” She frowned at that; clearly she wasn’t satisfied with someone else paying for everything. “Plus, you’re serving me tonight. So…” That seemed to be enough plausible deniability to satisfy her. “Cheers?”
“Cheers.”
Throughout drink one, we were casting nervous glances around the paused bar; by drink five, we were laughing, just the two of us. Hours dripped by with the free beer… or they didn’t… It was hard to tell.
Emma added her sixth can to her pyramid and composed herself. “Okay, okay, okay. One second.” She took a deep breath. “This has been so much fun, but I told Todd I’d tell him when I got here so” — she needed another second to find her verbal footing — “can you stop this now?”
“Stop what?” I was halfway through a sip.
“This is the coolest power I’ve seen but—”
“It’s not me, I promise,” my insistence ended up sounding more like a drunk debate. The drunk part was accurate.
“So your power really is enhanced perception.”
“Yes.”
“Okay. Okay. You’re not lying.”
“What makes you say that?”
“Because that’s lame and—” She stopped herself. “Shit, sorry.”
“I am so used to it.”
“You wouldn’t say that drunk if you could stop time is my point,” she almost ducked down to grab another drink but thought better of it. “So, that makes us…”
We’d reached this impasse several times in the last hours. I scanned her. The lines on her face. The size of her irises. She was worried. Apprehensive.
So I said it first.
“We’re soul mates.”
She looked down and to the left, considering instead of answering.
“Why else would one of us display a power we’d never seen before? Unless you’re right and someone was stopping time for everyone but me and—”
“And the woman who’s immune to powers,” she cut in. “Maybe we are soul mates, but turn it off.”
“It’s not—”
“Toby, please.”
“I don’t—” I stopped short and instead tried even though I didn’t know how. My perception was passive. I didn’t get to choose whether I used it. Was there supposed to be a switch somewhere inside my head? Was I—
How long had it been at this point? Six, seven hours? We’d planned to meet pretty late and it would almost be light out by now. She was right. We had to get—
“I don’t know how,” I admitted, “if it’s me.”
Emma opened her mouth to say something, then reconsidered. Her perfectly manicured nails were digging into the vinyl of the bar top.
“Okay. It’s been lovely, but if you getting here started this then,” I said as I stood up, “maybe I just need to leave, and that will turn it off so we can figure out what’s going on.” I took the first steps toward the door.
“That’s a good plan,” she nodded along with what she was saying, like she was convincing herself, “I’ll reach out to you. It was an excellent date.”
“Let Todd know for me,” I added as I reached the door; a second later, I stepped into the chilled early-fall air. The door didn’t shut behind me, so I kept walking until I would have been out of eyesight.
Then I stopped.
Should I have turned around? What were the chances that she was my soul mate? What was I leaving behind if I didn’t see her again? It was a dumb thought, but the idea of walking away started gnawing at me.
But what choice did I have? In front of me, a couple was frozen in the middle of a quiet conversation on the way to the bar. Soul mates only affected one another when they were close by. I took a few more steps and started to sprint.
I was three blocks away when the world stuttered around me. My vision blurred, and the moonlight was shattered by the sun. I stumbled, almost crashing into a woman dressed like she was on her way to brunch.
Shit. I’d left my jacket at the bar, but—
I checked my watch; 8:06 AM.

I'm also trying to get back in shape recently, I had an injury not so long back so things have been pretty tricky on that side. i do game a bit (ps5 mostly) so it could be pretty fun for us to potentially play something at some point.

Initially won my UE claim after 7 weeks of back and forth between a claims rep and my ex company. I was approved because it was taking an unreasonable amount of time, and my employers facts were all contradicting.
They appealed the decision, and here we are.
I reviewed all the exhibits beforehand.
Issue #1 : Tardiness The worst things in the file are improvement plans that show I was tardy many times within a 6 month period. However, most of it was approved by my direct supervisor, and he was forced to issue IP’s to put me on notice. I fixed the issue, mostly. My adhd meds were on back order and unobtainable during the times I was tardy.
However, there are no time clock records. Only observations by my direct manager documenting times and dates. This was over 6 months prior to my termination.
Issue #2 poor performance Daily kpi metrics - The program used to record metrics is not a company policy to comply with. However it’s specific to my efforts and input. The process: log into phone systems- and log into a browser page that records, and uploads data for each call. Often times this webpage would crash in the background, or while minimized and it wouldn’t notify the user. The only way it was known to be working is to compare the progress of it during intervals in the day when reports are emailed. Some days this webpage doesn’t work at all.
I have a claim here that my KPI metrics on phone calls isnt intentional misconduct. I was actually putting in the efforts, and the system is flawed and outdated and would crash. These numbers also could be low due to a number of reasons. Lots of administrative work with approvals, compliance, underwriting, collecting, organizing, and basically doing all the back end work you don’t want your sales guys doing if you expect them to be on the phones all day. My most lucrative, and busiest month- I had 7 calls a day and 22 minutes talk time average a day. But I had the most productive month over my tenure at the company and I can demonstrate this with the exhibits alone. Lastly, I was approved by my manager to use my personal cell phone for work and regularly updated him on my efforts.

3 quotas

Each month your sales volume quota increases to an absurd number that only 1 person, with 7 years of experience was on target, out of 27 others on the team. It’s unobtainable and resets every month. The industry was hit hard and I was having a hard time with approvals for clients during my last 2 months. Many employees have a 50% ramp goal to stay off the radar of direct management, and maybe 25% of them are obtaining that. My point here, is it’s acceptable that many team members weren’t performing either and it wasn’t willful misconduct by me that caused this.

4 consolidating expenses

It was no secret the company was tightening up payroll expense and cutting people left and right with no intention to fill their spots. My team, in my office was 10/27 total. When I was terminated, we were at 6. And they are at 5, and as a whole team of 27, they are at 19.

5 Supervisor participation during the hearing.

My direct manager announced he is resigning 2 days before I was termed, and he would be finishing out the week before he departs. I was termed before his last day by the director of my department. Not my supervisor. My supervisor will not be available to be on the hearing call. If it’s anybody else representing the company, I feel like it can be dismissed as hearsay. Furthermore, my director told me many things that weren’t included on the termination papers. He directed my manager to write up the term paper, as if he was the one that termed me. I feel like this supports my side even more.
Do you guys have any thoughts, opinions, or advice on this ?

TDLR: Ended up spending everything on a lemon, how do I make myself ok with this?
Also, I want to note that I fully understand that this is a privileged problem to have, with so many currently homeless or in the rental crisis.
In 2020 my partner and I built our first house. We were both low income with a dependent so we couldn't afford to build much. We went with a small bit of land in a very cheap suburb. We built our first house on a tight budget. I designed the floor plan, together we picked the finish. It was beautiful. Sadly though the backyard was too small, we couldn't sleep for traffic noise and we had an abusive neighbour. We decided to sell and walked away debt free (including personal loans etc) and over 100k profit, this was the start of the property boom.
Moved into a rental and planned to build a bigger house now finances were a bit better without the debt. Partner bought his dream car but we were left with enough for a build deposit. We purchased rural land and designed an amazing house. Due to job changes though the distance became an issue and we had to sell prior to building as it wasn't feasible. Luck was on our side again though and we made 10k profit from the land.
We planned to build local and purchased land. This is when building prices sky rocketed though and we were struggling to get what we wanted in budget. We also discovered my child needed access to swimming for therapy. Being in a rental the blow up swimming pool was not allowed and was about to cause us huge issues.
We found a house for sale that was large. On 700m2, had a beautiful pool and spa. It was listed for $599,000 to $630,000. The market was extremely competitive, and from previous experience when we sold our first house we went in with our best offer subject to building inspection. We offered $650,000 and had $30,000 left over for house improvements, we planned to heat the pool for our daughter etc. We got the building inspection and that came back with no defects and that the property was in good condition.
We moved In and everything went to hell from there. Turns out the flooring was a DIY and the grout was never sealed or whatever so our feet were constantly black. Even now 6 months later with constant cleaning the tiles always look dirty. We didn't realise things like linen cupboards were gutted. The spa does not work and needs to be chucked (bubbles work but doesn't heat and shorts out)the pool needed massive repairs (all this was meant to be checked by the specialised building inspector) the roof needs 20k of work, there's a leak behind the wall in the bathroom, the electrical work was a DIY job and a safety hazard, it's just endless issues.
Obviously our money quickly went to fixing the safety issues with nothing to spare and nothing to show for it. We can't heat the pool for my daughter so that can only be used in the height of summer. The spa was the back up plan for the dead of winter but that doesn't work and is so old would cost too much to fix. We don't even have access to a bath as she needs me in with her for regulation and it's so small I literally don't fit, I'm now squeezing in everynight and dealing with bad leg cramps each day. We knew the bath was small but figured the spa would be a happy replacement for water regulation. The floors have to be washed twice a day and are doing my head in. Can't fix any of the cosmetic issues like we'd planned.
I'm so angry and disappointed with myself for making the decision to buy this house but also not listening to my intuition. When we inspected the house privately the owners were walking out the front, and the female owner gave me a look and my intuition screamed don't buy, we fell in love though so I ignored it. I'm extremely angry at the building inspector who missed everything, we would not have bought this house with even one major defect since we had such limited liquid funds. I'm angry with my partner because he is not open to selling it and moving on, he wants to settle which I get, he hates moving as does my child, but it will be a very long time before this house has enough equity for any renovations.
How do I deal with the fact I was handed this golden opportunity to have a really nice house for my child and I blew it on this? How do I accept that I should have gotten two building inspections?

I made a new account and it was the same issue, but I found out last night I wasn’t fully banned, so I figured I’d throw it up and see if anyone finds it valuable. It’s written for people who have no prior knowledge of the rap game/music business. I don’t have to go as hard on obscuring names this time. One of the influencers I mentioned in my last post is known for doxxing and threatening violence against people who mention the many contradictions in their stories. (Sorry for any typos/mistakes I want to go to bed.)
Origins
I believe the current Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef is either completely or partially fabricated by certain industry leaders or the parties involved in an effort to distract from something bigger going down behind the scenes. If you were an influential label owner facing major accusations, and you needed to deflect media attention from yourself, recreating one of the most defining moments in rap history during the social media era would be a way to do it. It also wouldn’t hurt that two of the biggest rappers in the world were already sending shots at each other in their music for years prior. The public consensus is they are simply two famous rappers who hate each other and fighting over the spot for the top like in the 90’s. Only people who were directly involved could paint a more cohesive picture of the whole story. Even when all the cards drop, there is a good chance the average person won’t be able to find direct sources on their own and will continue to support their favorite artists and dismiss any evidence of their crimes like the drizzy subreddit or Ak fans.

As I said the beef between Kendrick and Drake has been brewing in the background for years, with both rappers sending shots and sneak dissing each other over the course of at least 8 years. The most agreed upon origin story is the first diss was the 2016 Big Sean and Kendrick collaboration, “Control,” and Drake responded with, “The Language”. Things stayed relatively lighthearted for a while and both were intentionally vague for many years. Before I go deep into the Kendrick and Drake stuff, it’s really important to examine some of Drake’s prior beefs because they add a ton of context to my theory. In my opinion Kendrick and Co. started scheming all of this some time around Mid 2020-Mid 2022, well after the whole Pusha T beef had transitioned into the Kanye beef.

What exactly started the beef is debatable, but at the time many attributed it to rumors of Drake pursuing Ye’s ex Amber Rose. Unfortunately the timeline isn’t 100 percent clear, and if I included every detail this would be at least 200+ pages so I’ll stick with the important stuff. The ultimate outcome of the Pusha T battle in 2018 was the revelation of Drake’s son Adidon that he had previously been hiding from the world along with getting Ye directly involved in the beef.

Here are some more examples of Drake antagonizing Ye and of him trying to use women as pawns to get material for his diss tracks. The Drake line, “Yeah, I probably go link to Yeezy, I need me some Jesus, but as soon as I start confessin' my sins, he wouldn't believe us," could be a reference to sleeping with Kim Kardashian, trying to double down on his threats to harm him or his family, or it could be a double entendre. Another example is using the name Kiki in another song, which was apparently one of Kim’s nicknames. Some other possible examples include the theories he may have tried the same thing with Kendrick’s wife Whitney around 2020-2021 in an attempt to use as ammo against Kendrick, which I’ll go into later. I don’t listen to much of either artist's music, but there are probably many of other examples in Drake’s catalogue that I’m leaving out. There is also his song Omerta released in 2019, which I'll go into below.

(Probably referring to Kim Kardashian since she had a few pictures with her wearing diamond ankle bracelets and was trying to make it into a trend.

“I plan to buy your most personal belongings when they up for auction”

(There were various rumors floating around for a while that Drake was blackmailing Ye with something and he was fighting to keep it from the public. I thought about it and this line might be referencing a sex tape with Kim or her little sister who me was very touch before she turned 18. In 2022 there was a whole storyline on Kim’s show where Ye flies to LA to prevent her second sex tape from being released.)

(Sounds a lot more like it could be crypto to launder or send large amounts of ill gotten gains. It started becoming mainstream around them)

These lines stood out because they could be referring to Ye telling the public about Drake's alleged threats a couple months before the songs release. This happened not long after the release of Sicko mode which was towards the end of 2018 as well. Ye was discussing the incident on Twitter and reached out to Drake and Travis to talk to him in private. In the next set of tweets Kanye publicly accused Drake of threatening him and his family in a major way. Surprisingly Ye seemed genuinely scared and amongst his, “crazy rants,” some of the stuff he said makes a ton of sense in hindsight. This also the beginning of his second serious public struggles with Bipolar disorder after being committed in 2016 shortly after an on stage rant where he calls out Jay Z for selling out and says he's afraid he might kill him.. As someone who shares the same diagnosis, I have a pretty good understanding of mania and psychosis and firmly believe that it's important not to write people off right away due to their mental illness. Some of my most thoughtful, creative, and productive periods were inspired by mania. Industry bigwigs have also been using mental illness to discredit influential black celebrities and visionaries going back decades, but it really picked up in the 80’s.

Dave Chappelle has gone into this a lot in the past and claims he experienced something similar before he quit show business and dipped to Africa. Their stories have a lot of interesting parallels if you’re familiar or curious. I remember he actually visited Ye at his house in Wyoming after he was reported to have had a, "mental breakdown," during his presidential run in 2020 thus marking his third breakown in six years.. The reason I put it in quotes is because it happened right after he publicly accused Kim of cheating and delivered his legendary speech on abortion. Dave went as far as going on live tv and telling the public he wasn’t crazy, he was just really struggling because he was the only one at the time fighting against the narrative, which can often be a suicide mission or a ticket to obscurity. These are three examples of someone speaking up and being deemed crazy, two years later came the nazi stuff and I'm sure we'll have plenty in store for 2024.

This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the very common pattern of artists dying or having their careers destroyed either after they try to leave their label or threaten to reveal industry secrets. A few more interesting industry connections I made in my research include the connections between:

T.U.G. records and J Cole's independent label Dreamville are both managed by Interscope Records, whose parent company is Universal Music Group.

Universal Music Group also hac Drake's label OvO label as well as Ye and Kendrick's old labels on their roster before they left to form their own independent labels in 2022 (around the same time the disses between Kendrick and Drake started escalating). Finally Bad Boy Records, which is owned by Diddy, and Motown Records who own Diddy's other R&B label Love Records, are also both owned by Universal. This means every label I mention is currently or was previously owned by Universal Music Group.

Ye tried for years to get out of his contract with Defjam, which happens to be ran by Jay Z who is known to be a close associate of Diddy. Jay would always used his money and power to fight against it. Ye even spoke out publicly on a few occasions, including when he said Jay Z was trying to kill him during one of his concerts. My theory is after years of getting nowhere and having his reputation skewered, in 2022 Ye finally said, "Fuck it," and dropped all the anti- Semetic stuff intentionally in a successful attempt to force his label to into using their morality clause, which requires labels to drop an artist if they're accused of any major controversy that could hurt the label’s profits. For the fourth time in four years the media reported he was having a breakdown. Even though they tried to punish him by cutting off all of his sources of income and freezing his accounts he still managed to bounce back pretty quickly. It was often reported how much he was losing, but it rarely discussed how he still was filthy rich in spite of the retrictions. His label wanted to discourage other artists from trying the same thing. My theory is he might have bought Kim or Kylie's alleged sex tape and used it for his own leverage. For Kendrick, his transition to his independent label ApLang went a lot smoother, but he had to split ownership of his new label with the previous manager owner Dave Free. Sadly it's still difficult for new or more niche artists to establish themselves without the some help.

He may be a lot of things but Ye isn’t dumb just because he has a mood disorder and the guys at the top know this, which is why I think he has really played up his diagnosis when it benefitted him. He’s still one of the most talented musicians in the game and I really think he sees his bipolar like a superpower as he says. It’s like his own invisibility cloak. He can go off his meds for a little, make an album after staying up for 72 hours, go on a “psychotic” twitter rant dropping facts throughout, then start up again once he makes enough news headlines. I think it’s worth noting the first divorce rumors in 2020 coincided with Ye’s abortion speech during his presidential run and the cheating accusations. that led to him dropping out and moving to Wyoming, and a couple months ago in February 2024 he was committed again.

The point I’m making is bipolar is complex, but pretty manageable especially if you have a ton of money to find meds that work for you and a good doctor and can keep substance abuse and stress at a manageable level. I think Ye is smart enough to know this, but it’s just safer for him to really play up the mental issues in the media. He’s proven he can literally say whatever he wants after getting cancelled and the average person is just going to write it off as psycho babble. While bias in health care is a sad fact of society, if you can use it to your advantage I say go for it. It might’ve just kept the microscope off of him long enough to plan his attack.

These first four tweets by Ye were all in reference to perceived threats made by Drake after their beef escalated circa 2018. He began speaking on the industry and talking more about his psych hospital commitment two years prior and how he thought they were going to kill him. It's pretty obvious how the whole thing was planned by the sketchy doctor who called it in and his physical trainer who has a ton of connections to weird shit involving his celebrity clients.

I found interesting that Ye might not have been the first major league rapper whose life Drake threatened. During a similar period of mental illness the up and coming rapper XXXtentacion accused Drake of stealing his flow and dissed him a few times. Not long after he made a post online saying if he dies, it was Drake who did it. There are tons of conspiracies online, but none of the evidence is strong enough to draw a definitive connection. Also while it maybe be coincidental, Kendrick’s latest album Mr Morale also painted the picture that Kendrick was dealing with some serious personal issues. Some lines throughout the album may have been used to bait Drake into escalating, but it wasn’t until The Weekend, Future, and Metro Booming dropped, “We Don’t Trust You,” then Drake and J. Cole dropped, “First Person Shooter,” which was followed a couple days later with, “Like That,” where Kendrick started the chain of events that has led us to today.

Summary: Ye runs for president and gets suppressed for saying what very well could be the truth and was immediately deemed insane by the media. Kim did a couple interviews and everything he said was immediatly false. There is almost guarenteed to be some sketchy shit going down revolving her and her family. Ye was absolutely terrified of her keeping the kids away from him and it seems like there are still efforts being made to this day to paint a certain image of him for ulterior motives.

"Ye is constantly trying to tell people that his family does not have his or his kids best interests at heart. He goes on to list others, linking them together with the thinking emoji. These people include rap artist Drake and Larsa Pippen, wife of Scottie Pippe. Kim K is goddaughter to Pippen's daughter, showing how close the families actually are. All of these families that associate with Ye through Kardashian connections, as well as Drake, have been accused of the same thing Kris has. EVERY SINGLE ONE of these people have mixed race children that are groomed from a young age to fuck around with celebrities so the parents can remain famous. Drake on numerous occasions has been accused of grooming girls and then getting handsy on their 18th birthday.”

Amongst the twitter rant, Ye warned about the predatory nature of record deals and discussed trying to get out of his own deal, and said again how his life may be in danger if it wasn’t already and was doing anything he could to protect his kids. The most fascinating part to me though is the public call to arms he made to Drake, J Cole, and Kendrick on twitter. After inviting them to all link up, he said, “It’s time to get free, we will not argue amongst each other while some guy we don’t know in Europe is getting paid and putting that money in a hedge fund.” I believe if Ye was able to pull off this meeting, there is an ever so slight chance that all four artists might be working together to take down a greater enemy. Weirdly there have been times throughout the last couple years where these supposed enemies were photographed together being friendly or praise each other in interviews, then out of no where the disses would start flying again.

To wrap things up I want to share my a few of my theories about the Drake/Kanye beef

A. Everything is exactly as it seems and the beef is over. Ye let his mental illness ruin his life and career so Drake simply picked another target after Ye stopped putting out disses. All of these connections are just a coincidence and all of this was choreographed to boost Drake and Kendrick’s music sales and possibly distract people from the Diddy trial and possibly the complicated geopolitical issues currently facing the U.S.

C. There is also the possibility that all four rappers are in cahoots and Drake’s dirt isn’t as extreme as people are theorizing, at least in comparison to the rest of the business. This could explain why everything has played out like a movie and how they were able to predict each other’s moves so well. This could either mean they’re all just trying to boost their sales or they’re all trying to take down the “slave masters,” as Ye calls them, and change the dynamic of the music industry in favor of the artist.

D. They may be trying to help their friends in the industry who are being abused or in shitty contracts. I know a lot of famous rappers have done a lot of collaborations with Jhene Aiko and Anderson Paak, who were both signed to T.U.G. records which I mentioned above in the connections to Universal Music Group. Considering they are both frequent collaborators with all of the artists involved on both sides, it’s not unlikely they may have played some part in influencing the takedown.

T.U.G was started by Chris Stokes with his partner Ketrina Askew. Back in the early to mid 90’s were gaining popularity attracting lots of young up and coming talent. They often collaborated with Diddy and his associates. In the 2000’s Raz B from the boy band B2K claimed he was molested by Stokes and his friend Marques Houston, then quickly retracted his claims. Years later he came forward again and said we was bribed into silence and that the rest of the victims were bribed with hush money and had another singer corroborate his story and they came forward together to level the accusations. After some of his former B2K members made fun of him for his claims and accused it of being a shakedown, Raz B revealed Stokes and Houston had preyed a lot of the children associated with the label including at least one of the former bandmates and paid them off.

I thought it was worth noting that the second whistleblower named Quindon Tarver died young in a car crash after mentioning his abuse again a few years prior. He seems to have left the industry not long after the incidents occurred and has few credits to his name. To this day Raz B is still trying to get his justice, while Stokes and his partner Askew, who was also involved in the abuse are still running the label to this day. Askew also has a ton of lawsuits, accusing her of using shady tactics to try to foreclose on houses. (Don’t quote me if a lawyer wants to take a look just google her full name), and has been tied to a ton of LLCs, similar to Drake. This is a good example of a shitty record deal, but I'm sure they have countless other friends in the industry who have even worse. While they were never convicted even Chris Stokes' wife confirmed it to be true.

E. The theory I personally think fits the narrative best and is the most realistic conspiracy is that Kendrick and possibly J. Cole went to the meeting, but not Drake due to his close relationship with Lucian Grange, the president of Drake’s label. Silence often speaks louder than words and this could explain why Kendrick was so ruthless and put so much effort into finding dirt on Drake. Ye, Cole, and Kendrick co-writing would be like the rap allstar team and if J. Cole wasn’t involved, it would also answer the question of whether or not he baited Drake into the battle by asking him to feature. I don’t think Drake is really their primary target though, which would explain letting him off easy. Compared to his bosses and their bosses he’s a small fish. If you take the big guys down you stand a better chance of landing a bigger blow on their operation.

Another really interesting connection is Kendrick and Ye were both signed under Universal Music Group and they both got out of their deals around couple months apart in 2022. As we speak U.M.G’s CEO Lucian Grange, who is often acccused of giving Drake special treatment, is facing charges related to sex trafficking by no other than P Diddy. This could very well explain the timing of it all. The craziest timeline would be Diddy masterminding all of this and using his connections to get it done and all the allegations are bullshit. The guy does seem pretty confident all things considered and constantly posts himself in his Batman costume which could mean he’s a vigilante.

It seems like there's a slight religious angle as well. (Ye and Diddy are both very vocal advocates of Christianity and Drake and Lucian Grange are both Jewish.) Obviously this is a reach, but they’ve been saying rap music was specifically promoted by mostly white label owners in the 80’s to help in the ongoing effort to expedite the systematic oppression of those living in black neighborhoods and the destruction of their family systems. Apparently it was an intentional decision to heavily promote rappers that promoted the very things that were destroying their neighborhoods. (So people know I'm and atheist and have zero agenda, I just thought it was interesting, please stay away from anything antisemitic. War is wrong on both sides.)

*** If my favorite theory is true, there is a possibility the Kendrick and Ye are going after Drake due to their mutual disdain for him and because he’s got a ton of power to dominate the charts and hog the radio airtime like Meek Mill and OG Maco claimed years ago. Even him dropping a record the same day as you could really fuck your album sales up. I’m also sure some of the many rumors throughout the years have had a least some truth and he will most likely snitch to avoid cell block one. I think that Drake could have been instructed to instigate this whole mess in order to draw attention away from the UMG charges brought about by Diddy. Or on the other hand it could be that Kendrick, Ye, and possibly Cole, may have had intel that Drake was going to be involved in the Diddy trial and are just gonna let the receipts show themselves. It might not have been the original plan, but they’ve already accomplished their mission of humiliating him, assuring he couldn’t use his influence to slide through the cracks, and taking over the throne.

Please take everything I say with a grain of salt I have no connection to this world or lifestyle. Regardless I believe all of the knowledge above does a pretty solid job at painting a picture of what may have let up to this and what may have been the source.

Drake and Diddy Connections+Coincidences

Drake- In the P Diddy wig video from 2016 he talks about going to party with Drake, Cash, and The Weeknd in Toronto. Drake is also one of Birdman’s protégées who is known for being a predator and is rumored to have used label artists to lure young women.

Travis Scott- Interview where he comes out and says Diddy tried to lure him. Still has a long history of associating with him, video of him running from Diddy, his connection to Ruby Rose while underage.

Tim Westwood- Diddy had connections with sex offender Tim Westwood who also inspired the Drake song, “Westwood”. They also both were victims of drive by shootings along with The Weekend and they were all facing some type of allegations.

T.I.- Also has been associate with Diddy through the years, in 2021 his kid died and 11 women can forward at the same time to accuse him and his wife of drugging and assaulting them. Clearly someone wanted to fuck his life up. Possibly due to him getting arrested so many times for wild shit and people wondering how he continued to get away with it shining a light on how powerful industry lawyers are. He also had recently talked about having a gynecologist check to see if his daughter is still a Virgin, which sounds like it could have been an industrty secret. Could have been because he worried about someone trying to take advantage of her to get to him? Regardless that shit is fucking insane.

50 Cent- Has been saying pretty much the same thing as Travis Scott and has trolled Diddy for most of his career. It came out that his wife was a sex worker who was possibly recruited Diddy to help ruin his career. It sort of worked, which raises the question if 50 Cent is the only victim.

Ray J- Him and his sister worked with T.U.G. records when they were very young. Chris Stokes in the nineties who had connections with Diddy. He has been involved in a lot of sex scandals and allegedly may have played a part in Whitney Houston's death. (Which is also allegedly connected to Michael Jackson's death and both were deemed suspicious and happened during their final tours when their masters (song rights), became more valuable than their lives. Sony Records and Tommy Motolla, who also abused Mariah Carey when she was trying to start her career. These are just a few of the alleged examples of labels taking out musicians when they were worth more dead, another is the signing of high risk artists and requiring them to get life insurance so they can profit beyond releasing all their posthumous records. Also the ever so common story of the rising star artist that die at 21 after their first album or two.

He also partied with Diddy in Vegas with along Floyd Mayweather and a bunch of other famous industry people and athletes.

Tory Lanez- Tons of blackmail, also was signed by Interscope under UMG. got sent to prison for ten years after trying to leave his label. Also history of SA and and other allegations of violence towards women.

French Montana- On Diddy's label, close with Rick and Khaled, tons of drug and sexual assault allegations, also dated a Kardashian. Generally grimy.

DJ Khaled- Diddy said he could get anything in Miami, either referring to drugs or women, could explain his connections and lack of any notable talent. (New update, he was one of the first to promote Chris Alvarez’s instagram not long after he turned 18).

Rick Ross- Diddy said some weird shit about him and licked his lips and kissed him at a show. Ross is also signed to Bad Boy under Diddy. He ended up getting involved in the current feud and spamming social media nonstop dissing and threatening Drake.

A lot of the back and forth was both of them threatening to release dirt on each other. One strange coincidence I found was Drake recently trolled Ross about the 20 million dollar renovation to his home on Star island, where Diddy is currently residing. It’s rumored back in the day that P Diddy was caught in a room full of rich guys on ecstasy possibly at the beginning stages of a gay orgy. Drake also mentioned in the same tweets about Rick Ross that Birdman owned a house on the island and asked Rick Ross why he didn’t help him out.

Considering Ross is so sketchy and Drake claims the house isn’t that big, that’s a ridiculous amount of money. He may be covering up evidence, or creating tunnels in his house to escape if shit pops off and Drake might know what’s good. Interestingly enough Ross is very close with French Montana and also signed to Bad. He said his beef was related to something involving French, and Drake’s tweet popped up the same day the info came out concerning the Chris Alvarez stuff.

Meek Mill- “OG Maco called himself defending his friend Quentin Miller by substantiating the ghostwriting claims and agreeing with Meek. He hit up Twitter saying, "Some of us been knew. Meek just put it in the air. Sucks to have to compete with 6 n****s and get compared to”

Meek mill also had a short beef with Drake, some disses included lines referring to TI’s homie pissing on Drake at the movie theater, which is also interesting considering the current case against him. He also dropped a line saying Diddy almost got a domestic charge when he smacked Drake, which could either be saying that Drake is like a woman, or saying he was Drake’s boyfriend/sugar daddy.

I thought it was interesting how the beef just kind of disappeared and even Meek said it didn’t seem genuine. Considering the allegations against Meek in the Diddy trial, and his rumored affair with Kim contributing to ending Kanye’s marriage, Meek Mill definitely did some dirt on him.

This line is referring to Chris brown beef, another beef that was lost to time. All I can remember off the top was someone throwing a champagne bottle at the other’s entourage.

Ty Dolla $ign- Huge feature artist, close with Ye. Grew up in the industry and talks about growing up on the road and being in the studio with his dad and Rick James who was should have already been in prison for life for dragging, torturing, and S assaulting multiple women and children throughout his career and was himself a victim of the industry. May be part of Ye's motivation, considering their recent close working relationship.

But it’s a bit of a Schrödinger’s cat situation—it has and hasn’t started at the same time. Google is deliberately not rushing to notify us about anything, even though sites have already started getting penalized.
When asked why the update hasn't been announced on the dashboard, Sullivan replied that only manual actions are currently being issued, while the algorithmic part hasn't begun yet.
On the bright side, there are already cases where manual penalties have been successfully removed from sites, leading to their search visibility being restored.
To recap, this “part” of the Spam Update concerns the Site reputation abuse policy, which Google announced in March along with Scaled content abuse and Expired domain abuse. Another point that must be mentioned is that Google has recently emphasized that Site reputation abuse isn't about linking; it’s about using another domain's reputation for your own benefit.

Brief highlights of product features on review cards. Google is now showing these short summaries of reviews by placing a label over the review with one or a few words. So the labels might show "low quality," "compact," "lightweight," "performs well" and so on.

Google plans to display the number of recent shoppers on your site in its search results. We’re talking about labels like "1K shopped here recently," data on which will be pulled from your Merchant Center.
The idea is to "build shopper confidence in your business."
However, many users are unhappy with their sales stats becoming publicly available even in this format. For such users, Google provides an option to opt out. But keep in mind that even then, Google will continue to use your data "to power various annotations and features that benefit your performance."

1. Yesterday’s Google I/O presentation

The search giant has announced their new developments related to AI.
Here’s what stood out: SGE is finally going live this week under the name AI Overviews. For the time being, it will only be available to users in the US “with more countries coming soon”.
Danny Sullivan claims that the feature has almost fully been rolled out. He also mentioned that people use search more when this feature is available, and are ultimately more satisfied with the results. And all of this comes despite SGE’s earlier advice suggesting that users drink urine to treat kidney stones.
Oh, well.. ;)
A number of other new features were announced, which will be available only for the US market in English through Search Labs:

• Ask complex questions that require multi-step planning.
• Interrupt answer generation to refine or modify your query.
• Plan ahead, like meal plans for three days.
• For broad queries, AI will group results into subcategories (see example for clarity).
• Google Lens will now work not only with photos but also with live videos—you can film something and ask questions about what's in the frame.

We must mention that OpenAI’s CEO Sam Altman decided to steal some of Google’s thunder by releasing a new product that “feels like magic” just a day before the search colossal’s I/O.
Everyone speculated about what it might be—a search engine, a voice assistant... Altman said that the team has been working extra hard on the update, and it turned out to be quite the gem.
2) The super product turned out to be GPT-4o
What makes GPT-4o so gosh darn fantastic?
The big news is that the team over at OpenAI has improved its multimodal voice assistant. Now it clearly understands text, photos, and videos.
Moreover, you can talk to the model in real-time, get it to translate conversations, understand and explain code, share your camera and ask questions about what’s in the view. To boot, I was just blown away by its ability to sing, tell stories with intonation, and keep a conversation going even if I occasionally interrupt it.
The best part? Chat mode will be free for everyone!
Plus, the API will be available at half the cost of Turbo, with five times the usage limits and twice the speed. We'll start getting access to this amazing tool in the coming weeks.
They also hinted at real-time search features, but this wasn't included in the final demo.
3) By the way, Apple is considering a partnership with OpenAI
Their goal is to make ChatGPT available on iPhones, starting with iOS 18, which will open up a whole range of AI-powered possibilities for Apple smartphone device owners.
For context, there have already been discussions that Siri “doesn't measure up” by modern standards and needs a “brain transplant.”

Dear SEC executives and staff,
As an investor, I take my investing seriously - as I am sure all of you do!! I have read, fully, the potential rule change(s) pertaining to SR-OCC-2024-001 - and I have questions, as follows:
(1) If a clearing member defaults on their financial obligations, the OCC, as the central counterparty, has an obligation to the counterparties on the other side of , say, a short sale, correct ??
\* The answer should be "YES". *\**
(2) The OCC has a fiduciary duty to ensure that counterparties of short sales, such as the shareholders - ex: (GME), are protected in the event of defaults by clearing members involved in such short selling transactions. This is an essential responsibility for upholding the integrity and stability of the market!! As such, why would the OCC be creating a rule to bail out the 'short selling' Wall Street firms - essentially prolonging the inevitable if they lack the financial capacity to cover their bets??
\* That is what this rule, in essence, does - and that's just wrong!! The answer is: "It shouldn't". *\**
(3) If the SR-OCC-2024-001 rule is to ascertain parameters in the OCC's proprietary system for calculating margin threshold requirements during high volatility - why am I not provided with the specific details on how these parameters will be calculated ??
\* The answer is: They should be made available to everyone*\**
(4) I have no idea how these margin threshold requirements are calculated, and everything in the proposal's supporting evidence as related to this is REDACTED. Why?? \* The answer is: They shouldn't be redacted at all *\**
(5) If I understand this rule correctly, and I think I do, if multiple clearing members default, the OCC would also incur losses from having to cover those defaults, yes?? Therefore, it would indeed be in the OCC's best interest to prevent clearing members from defaulting - because the OCC would lose money also, yes??
\* The answer to both questions should be: "YES" *\**
(6) If I understand this next item correctly, the OCC wants to give significant authority to OCC's Financial Risk Management (FRM) section for approving idiosyncratic control settings. In my opinion, this introduces a significant risk to the OCC and it poses a conflict as they are required to safeguard both OCC's interests and at-risk Clearing Members. Being that this proposed rule favours Clearing Members at the expense of market fairness and investor protection, this issue has been flagged to the SEC for commentary and review.
In my opinion, it appears the OCC is fearful of clearing member default toppling the market. Not wanting to use their own funds to bail out bad CLEARING MEMBER bets, the OCC is proposing a rule to adjust margin thresholds during volatile market periods. The SEC had the good sense to REJECT this proposal - and now, regular OTC investors have the opportunity to support this decision and get it removed completely!!
After giving this rule change a thorough review, I am recommending that the SEC fully remove and eliminate this OCC rule completely. It is a rule fraught with peril and has enough conflict and risk to warrant its dismissal and removal!!

I work at a fortune 500 company, as an intern in inside sales, specifically on the federal side(Military) selling tech and software(kinda?). I have been in this particular roll for exactly 1 year. I have learned a lot and feel like I do a good job. My main problem is problem solving. I don't know where to go or what to do when I run into an issue, unlike other inside sales reps that work there do. I don't have a full grasp of the entire process, it feels like every day there's something new(which I like, its never boring), but there is so much, that I cannot learn a specific process inside and out. I work with a senior inside sales rep who is my mentor. I work with all her accounts, and basically am her associate. We are on the phone or communicating for hours of each day. She is GREAT! She knows everything, knows work arounds, is connected, and has a great relationship with our AM and engineers.
My main issue here is just that, is this a normal feeling? Feeling like I do not know a fucking thing half the time I am working? I graduate in less than a year and was hopping to get my own accounts, and move my way up the ladder to an AM role one day. This is my first sales job ever, and I haven't been exposed to outside sales hardly at all, or commercial sales for that matter. I don't know what is out there. I am not customer facing at all, basically just doing the grunt work. Which I am there for, I know my place. Is federal sales known to be harder or easier than commercial sales? Is outside sales a good route?
Not to toot my own horn, but I think I am personable and well liked at my job, the same with any previous internships I've had. I also do not shy away from work and am always trying to stay busy. Not to sound pretentious, but I want to make as much money as possible, meet as many people as possible in as short amount of time as possible, and sales literally offers all of that. I just don't know what other sales roles are out there, if I drew the short stick in the worst possible field, OR it is actually the best possible field and maybe I need more time in it to learn the processes and advance?

Hello. I am still a beginner and recently, I found myself enjoying alcohol markers. I want to get serious focus on this medium but with my limited budget, I am at a loss about which brand/option is the best starter. I hope I can hear your opinions here, especially the ones from long-term alcohol marker artists. Here where I live, the choices are not as many and so far, here are my options after researching:
Deli Finenolo Markers - So far this is the cheapest yet decent brand I've found. The largest set is 80 colors which costs more or less $18. There's a brush tip which makes it a good option compared to other cheap brands like Touchnew/Touchfive/Touch but the downside is they're non-refillable. The skin tones included aren't much & seem on the orangey side (based on the videos I saw). The reviews online aren't much of a help since most I found either don't respond in the comments, use the marker for calligraphy, or are just straight-up promoting the product with not much review going on (just swatching).
Ohuhu Markers - Probably the collectively agreed alternative to Copic. There are like 2 sellers in my country but both of them don't sell refills. If I choose this, my problem would be they are always sold in sets here. I have yet to find individual markers for sale. The reviews say Ohuhu is good though.
Croma Markers - I can't find enough reviews online but the colors look good. The few ones I found said that their set of colors is close to Copic. Their price range is close to Ohuhu but a bit lower. I checked their official website & the refills are still WIP by the company.
Copic Sketch Markers - The biggest con is that they're expensive but they and their refills are more available here. I bought a few secondhand before from a decluttering mom who told me their kid made an impulsive request when she was abroad & it was a good deal (20-30% of the original price). I practiced with what I bought & I kinda realized it gets frustrating in the long run coz of my limited color choices. However, I recently found a local online shop that sells Japanese surplus items & Copic markers occasionally appear in their products. And it was always a battle during these times because of how cheap they were selling those.
I'm honestly kind of considering the Copic option but I'm also hesitating not just because of the costs but also the energy to decide which colors to choose. Buying a cheaper brand set seems a good option as well but my worry is not being able to use all colors, not to mention that there are no refills. I was thinking that maybe I could invest in Copic (or maybe another good brand) for skin tones and greys and then find a cheaper brand for other colors but I am also worried about how the colors from different marker brands would blend or how it would look overall.

I’m new to self publishing and I’ve offered to help an author navigate distribution. We are looking at POD options.
He’s already setup with Blurb to print a hardcover book with color pages for around $40 - $50 per book, making $3 profit on each sale. I’m not sure of the trim size. (I’ve just started this project this week, still waiting for more details.)
I’m reading that KDP is a less expensive way to print and distribute. But I’m not seeing that by using their calculator.
For the smallest trim size hardcover with color pages, it would need a minimum list price of $59. Only profiting $0.18 per sale. Can anyone help me understand what I could be missing?
I was wondering if shipping cost/time could be a factor to consider but I can’t kind any shipping information for KDP. Otherwise, maybe KDP is using higher quality materials?
Any thoughts or side by side comparisons would be very helpful. We’re hoping to keep listing prices similar across sites without raising the cost on Blurb.

I see a lot of LMS that seemed designed for big business- charging huge fees. I just have one SCORM course I wanna sell. Is there an LMS for regular people with a side hustle that wanna sell to a few people? I'd also be looking for multi-tenancy, cuz I market to a few "groups".
I was so focused on course development I failed to realize this could be so costly. I'm trying to figure out the best way to limit losses (which would obviously happen if I buy an LMS at a cost I dont cover with sales) while having something in place I can sell people. Any ideas?
