It seems a little obvious to me now, but when you think about it, One Piece was originally supposed to be a much shorter story, and when we get to the scenes were Professor Clover is about to reveal the name of the Ancient Kingdom, we all seem to agree it makes sense that it would be something that we would recognize. Otherwise, they would’ve just said the name of the kingdom.
I think that the entire backstory of Chopper and Dr. Hiriluk is actually foreshadowing for what happened in the Void Century between Joyboy, the 20 allied nations, and Imu. I feel like it all just clicked in my head recently, and feel free to add to this, but I think that Wapol is supposed to be a representation of Imu, the 20 doctors are supposed to represent the 20 nations that comprise the world government, Dr. Hiriluk is supposed to represent Joyboy, Chopper is Zunesha, and Dalton is Queen Lily. Save a few details that change between the two events, I think the parallels hold up.

Stick with me; in the same way that Dr. Hiriluk’s desire to cure mankind’s illness threatens Wapol’s power, and, indeed, would threaten to put the 20 doctors out of business, Joyboy’s desire to create infinite energy threatened the power of the 20 kingdoms and of Imu. Put another way, Dr. Hiriluk’s dream to cure the world of its fatal illness, which later becomes Choppers dream to be the panacea that cures the world of all its illnesses, is a direct metaphor for Joyboy trying to solve world conflict by creating infinite energy. A panacea would reduce if not eliminate the need for doctors, who Wapol monopolized to force the citizens of Drum to submit to his will, lest they be denied access to medical care. Similarly, an infinite source of energy would remove all justification for resource based conflict between nations, removing the dependency of citizens on their nations to access energy.
If this is true, then the scene where Dr. Hiriluk dies, where Wapol tricks Dr. Hiriluk into believing the kingdom was in danger because the doctors were sick, foreshadows Imu and the 20 allied nations deceiving Joyboy into fearing for the safety of the world, tricking him into the circumstances that would ultimately lead to his death. It would be at this moment, similar to Dalton, that Queen Lily realizes that she has pledged her loyalty to the wrong side, which is why she ultimately betrays Imu. However, devastated by the loss of Joyboy, Zunesha attacks Drum Kingdom, which I believe is the ancestral home of the Minks. This mirrors the way Chopper attacked Wapol and his men, only to be stopped by Dalton. Anyway, back to Zunesha; holding Drum Kingdom and the Minks collectively responsible for the death of Joyboy, Zunesha commits an act of genocide by destroying their home, which was at one time the giant trees we know today as the Drum Rockies. In this parallel, we also get something of an explanation for Chopper’s name; Zunesha, his parallel, chopped down the trees of Drum. Queen Lily, wracked with guilt over her decision to betray Joyboy, but otherwise of a sound mind, punishes Zunesha for his act of genocide, charging him with caring for the displaced Minks who survived the attack until the day he can restore them to their homeland.
I think this is a crime worth the punishment of several centuries and also why the Minks currently live on his back. He awaits the day that he can arrive at “that place” to finally rest and I think that that place is one where the Minks can find a new home, one that was similar to Drum Kingdom; Elbaf. The reason why I think it’s Elbaf is because we pretty much know that there is a, if not several, giant trees on the island already, and I think the reason we haven’t seen Elbaf yet, even from a distance, is because it’s an exact mirror of Drum Kingdom, but without the trees cut down. In any case, I believe Elbaf was able to be protected over the centuries because of the strength of the Giants, whereas Drum Kingdom fell to the powers that be. Furthermore, I think the reason that Elbaf is ‘Fable’ spelled backwards is because it’s supposed to become the new ancient kingdom, or the new promised land of liberation; a multiracial land of equality open to all, and free from the illnesses of the world caused by competition over resources due to it’s access to great technology, something many would regard as an impossible dream, or, a ‘Fable’ if you will. Think about it; we know that the sky islands are accessible via Elbaf, right? I think that similarly, Skypeia used to be accessible through Drum Kingdom as well. If Drum is the Ancient Kingdom, it would almost have to be; a great nation with advanced technology that was home to all the races. When Zunesha chops down the trees of Drum, he affects more than just the Minks; he cuts off the Skypieans from Vearth, which is why the Skypeians end up fighting a centuries long war with the Shandians once Jaya is shot into the sky, but I digress. I also think that explains why the Giants have been waiting for the return of the Sun God Nika, because they have been acting as the protectors of his new kingdom over the centuries, believing that he would once again return.
This brings up some interesting questions I think we might consider; why Drum? Simply put I think that Drum Kingdom used to be the original home of the devil fruit trees, trees that would eventually grow the devil fruits that would allow the world to stop fighting for resources. You know that saying that money doesn’t grow on trees? Imagine if the solution to all of mankind’s problems did. Something else to consider here as well is that I think the commonly held belief that there can only be one of each type of devil fruit is a lie. I think that this is something that Dr. Vegapunk sort of proves, even if imperfectly, when he re-create Kaido’s fruit. The reason why I think this is important is in regards to the infinite energy source that Vegapunk was attempting to re-create, but couldn’t. I think the reason why he couldn’t re-create the energy source was because it wasn’t a standalone invention like the Mother Flame. I think, quite literally, the infinite energy source is the Mera-Mera no mi, once held by Ace and now possessed by Sabo. If the Mera-Mera no mi is the infinite energy source, and if multiple copies of the same devil fruit can exist at the same time, then you would simply need o grow the fruit as many times as necessary to provide energy to all who needed it. I think this fits even symbolically when we can think back to the fight between Ace and Blackbeard, where darkness, or the Void Century, consumed the Sun, or the infinite energy source meant to end all wars. Now, with Sabo in control of that power and the revolutionary spirit to use it, we may see him use the ancient weapons in attempt to defeat Imu and the world government. Whether or not, this is a good thing remains to be seen, as he could very well be repeating the mistakes of the past. Something else to consider regarding the Mera-Mera no mi, if it truly is the infinite energy source, is Ace’s execution; the stated reason for his execution was the fear of his potentially as Roger’s son, and the loose association between his fire ability and the possible reincarnation of the Sun God, but what if it was actually an attempt to recapture the devil fruit capable of powering the Ancient Weapons? We don’t really have a clear explanation of how the fruit ended up in Doflamingo’s possession, but between him being the broker of the underworld, a Warlord with access to the World Government, and knowing about the ‘national treasure’ of Mariejois, it wouldn’t surprise me if using the Ancient Weapons, in addition to body-sapping with Imu, was a part of his scheme for world domination.
Another sort of interesting take I have is that I believe that Imu was acting, not necessarily in self-defense, but with an interest that’s less evil than we would think; I think that with the rapid development of technology in the ancient kingdom, Imu saw the harm that was being done to the earth, and wanted to prevent that harm from progressing and so, in a manner of speaking, cut off the head of the snake of that progress, who was Joyboy. This is why we always see Imu in the flower room, as he has a great respect for nature and will protect it at all costs. I think that Imu might have been trying to protect the world from the negative consequences of the ancient weapons, specifically that were being developed, which were causing the sea levels to rise, and maybe in the service of that protection, became corrupted, deciding that he could use that same power to rid the world of all those he considered sinners. If the infinite energy source is supposed to be a metaphor for nuclear energy, I think it makes even more sense. Anyways, I think Imu used the eternal youth surgery in order to watch over the world to ensure that no one would ever discover or use the infinite energy source again. As far as Imu is concerned, preventing the proliferation of infinite energy is a cause noble enough to justify genocide, hence the Gorosei asking him which lights need to be extinguished to protect the world order. In taking on this role, Imu prevented the ‘evils’ of infinite energy, by becoming a different evil than the one he sought to prevent; in Imu’s mind, I’m sure he constitutes the lesser evil. Like Dr. Vegapunk says it’s difficult to say which of the competing ideologies was correct and which one was wrong, if one was evil and if one was not, or if they were both maybe partially correct and partially wrong.
Anyways! That’s my hypothesis. Thoughts, comments, concerns?
Edit: Another thought that just occurred to me; I think that Imu and the 20 kingdoms may have been allies of Joyboy at one point. I think they fought together to dethrone the Lunarians, who would have been the ‘Gods’ that used to live on top of the Redline that Whitebeard mentioned. The giant robot, and the Mera-Mera no mi, might have been fashioned after Lunarian armor, which they could power with the flames on their backs and wear to be even more invulnerable to attack. I think it’s also why the Lunarians are hunted; they once used their great strength to force the world into submission, and Imu, who remembers this, has yet to forgive them for their crimes against the world. I think this also fits into the whole ‘it’s not a crime to just exist’ theme that’s prevalent throughout the story. Despite King joining forces with Kaido, he thought he was joining Joyboy and fighting for liberation even though we know he chose wrong.
Anyways! Imu, Joyboy, the 20 Kingdoms, basically everyone, came together to defeat the ‘gods’, just to be torn apart by infighting due to a difference of opinion on how to move forward; Joyboy wanted to liberate the people/races of the world, and the rulers of the 20 kingdoms wanted to maintain power over their respective territories with the promise that their power would not be consolidated or corrupted. Then Imu used the 20 kingdoms to defeat his greatest obstacle, Joyboy and his attempt to win the liberation of the people of the world, before betraying the 20 kingdoms and sitting on the Empty Throne himself.
I think this is why Roger laughed; Joyboy, Imu, and the 20 kingdoms overthrew the oppressive ‘gods’ that seemed impossible to defeat, and were ultimately defeated by infighting between allies. It’s possible his crew disbanded because even amongst themselves they couldn’t agree on a solution to the problems faced by those who inherited the world after the defeat of the Lunarians, similar to how Shanks and Buggy constantly argue over which is colder, the North or South Pole, never getting an answer.

2024.06.06 11:24 GodofHumanRealm Zoro will definitely betray Luffy & the Strawhats. Explained.
First Point - Luffy was with four people when he entered the grand line - Zoro, Nami, Ussop & Sanji. Out of these four, three have already left (or betrayed) Luffy and Strawhats once - Nami left Luffy & the Strawhats during the Arlong Park Arc, Ussop left Luffy & the Strawhats during the Water 7 Arc and Sanji left Luffy & the Starwhats during the Whole Cake Arc. All these were major moments, and Zoro is the only one left from the original four yet to leave/betray Luffy & Strawhats. This would be a major moment.
Leaving Strawhats is a major theme that comes back often, regardless of the reason for leaving. Other than the major moments of betrayal, some minor moments were - Nico Robin surrendering to the CP9, Vivi stayed back to govern the kingdom, and even Chopper being briefly removed from the ranks of the Strawhats during the Davy Back Fights. Franky, Brook & Jinbe are the only ones yet to leave but it is not like the journey has ended and who knows, maybe they also get their fair share.
Therefore, going with the constant theme of betrayal especially among the original four who came to the grand line with Luffy, it would be weird if the man with the title of Pirate Hunter does not leave or betray Luffy.
Moreover, Luffy traveled with the Death to the grand line. (Since 4 is the number of death)
Second Point - Episode 223-224, Zoro was hypnotized and attacked Luffy and even defeated him momentarily using his Oni Giri move. He even made an "X" Mark on Luffy's chest during these episodes. This entire ordeal was hardly 2-3 episode long, but was it just the coincident or Oda skillfully planned it and put it there? After almost a 900 episodes later, knowing everything that happened till now, its not far-fetched to guess that this wasn't just a simple coincident but instead a foreshadowing.
Third Point - "One Day I am going to kill you." This is an often dialogue in Zoro's script for Luffy whenever luffy used his stretching ability to cover distances and harm Zoro. Usually, considered as a comic dialogue showing Zoro's frustration, but is it just that? Or maybe a foreshadowing
Fourth Point - 13 is the number of the betrayal and currently there are 13 Members in the Strawhats ensuring that one would definitely betray Luffy and that also big time. For those who don't know know about the number 13 - In the New Testament, Jesus gathers with his 12 disciples for the Last Supper, making a group of 13. After that, Jesus was betrayed by one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, which would ultimately lead to his crucifixion.
For those wondering about 13 people let me name them, Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Ussop, Sanji, Chopper, Nico Robin, Franky, Brook and Jinbe. These 10 are what most people think, conveniently forgetting Nefertari Vivi and her pet Karoo and their ship, the Thousand Sunny making a total of 13 members directly under the Stawhats Pirate. Whosoever is aware of the current manga knows about Vivi's predicament who is on the run will understand without a doubt that whenever all thirteen of the Strawhats Pirates will get together, one of them would betray BIG TIME. And that traitor would be Zoro for sure.
Fifth Point - For someone with the title of "Pirate Hunter" and have a dream to be the "Strongest Swordsman" what would be his final goal, something that would prove both of the titles to the world without a doubt. I believe it would be taking down "the Pirate King". For many who believe that Mihawk is Zoro's end dream, they are shortsighted not understanding that there was a time when we believed that Luffy's final dream is to be the Pirate King. But if Luffy can think something beyond that, why Zoro cannot. Zoro wants to take down Mihawk as to prove his later title but his primary title was always the Pirate Hunter regardless whether Zoro himself never said so.
I am not saying Zoro's Betrayal would be a permanent one but instead it could be like a temporary one like the other stawhats but it is also a chance that the way Oda is building this, it could be a final permanent plot twist. But regardless, make no mistake. Zoro will definitely betray the Strawhats and will surely leave the group especially at a time when least expected.

Other than the major moments of betrayal, some minor moments were - Nico Robin surrendering to the CP9, Vivi stayed back to govern the kingdom, and even Chopper being briefly removed from the ranks of the Strawhats during the Davy Back Fights. Franky, Brook & Jinbe are the only ones yet to leave but it is not like the journey has ended and who knows, maybe they also get their fair share.
Therefore, going with the constant theme of betrayal especially among the original four who came to the grand line with Luffy, it would be weird if the man with the title of Pirate Hunter does not leave or betray Luffy.
Moreover, Luffy traveled with the Death to the grand line. (Since 4 is the number of death)
Second Point - Episode 223-224, Zoro was hypnotized and attacked Luffy and even defeated him momentarily using his Oni Giri move. He even made an "X" Mark on Luffy's chest during these episodes. This entire ordeal was hardly 2-3 episode long, but was it just the coincident or Oda skillfully planned it and put it there? After almost a 900 episodes later, knowing everything that happened till now, its not far-fetched to guess that this wasn't just a simple coincident but instead a foreshadowing.
Third Point - "One Day I am going to kill you." This is an often dialogue in Zoro's script for Luffy whenever luffy used his stretching ability to cover distances and harm Zoro. Usually, considered as a comic dialogue showing Zoro's frustration, but is it just that? Or maybe a foreshadowing
Fourth Point - 13 is the number of the betrayal and currently there are 13 Members in the Strawhats ensuring that one would definitely betray Luffy and that also big time. For those who don't know know about the number 13 - In the New Testament, Jesus gathers with his 12 disciples for the Last Supper, making a group of 13. After that, Jesus was betrayed by one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, which would ultimately lead to his crucifixion.
For those wondering about 13 people let me name them, Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Ussop, Sanji, Chopper, Nico Robin, Franky, Brook and Jinbe. These 10 are what most people think, conveniently forgetting Nefertari Vivi and her pet Karoo and their ship, the Thousand Sunny making a total of 13 members directly under the Stawhats Pirate. Whosoever is aware of the current manga knows about Vivi's predicament who is on the run will understand without a doubt that whenever all thirteen of the Strawhats Pirates will get together, one of them would betray BIG TIME. And that traitor would be Zoro for sure.
Fifth Point - For someone with the title of "Pirate Hunter" and have a dream to be the "Strongest Swordsman" what would be his final goal, something that would prove both of the titles to the world without a doubt. I believe it would be taking down "the Pirate King". For many who believe that Mihawk is Zoro's end dream, they are shortsighted not understanding that there was a time when we believed that Luffy's final dream is to be the Pirate King. But if Luffy can think something beyond that, why Zoro cannot. Zoro wants to take down Mihawk as to prove his later title but his primary title was always the Pirate Hunter regardless whether Zoro himself never said so.
I am not saying Zoro's Betrayal would be a permanent one but instead it could be like a temporary one like the other stawhats but it is also a chance that the way Oda is building this, it could be a final permanent plot twist. But regardless, make no mistake. Zoro will definitely betray the Strawhats and will surely leave the group especially at a time when least expected.

One thing I think doesn't get talked enough about is the use of food in One Piece. It's something that we see from the very start of the series, food not only motivates people, but also get used in place of money, used durring party times, given as a reward, and even some characters are interduced while eating or with food.
I'm not the best at looking at these things and finding the symbolism in books but. . .
I think food is used as a sign of wealth, power, and happiness. We see this in Wano, the capital having all the food living happy and care free life. The powerful have so much food they can just dump it out. Yet they won't give it to the week, and depressed. They don't deserve the it, only fake happiness with Slime Fruit. We see this everytime the crew successfully helps free people and they take food as a reward. Everyone who was oppressed is now given the food they always craved. They are happy and joyful often expressing gratitude to the Strawhats. We see this anytime the Crew is not doing good. If luffy is week he needs food to gain power back. They are times when they are starving on the boat having to try and fish for food. Luffy even calls Chopper emergency food. Even the devil fruits are food that have to be eaten to gain more power.
I think food is a strong theme that comes up gain and again. It could be hints to the One Peice having something to do with food?

I know the expansion is still fresh in Japan and i know that many wont share my feelings, but since i started playing (op05) this looks like the worst expansion by far (excluding EB01, wich is half of an expansion xD).
It feels weird both in concept, lore, game balance and gameplay mechanics.
Here are a random assortment of negative thoughs, feel free to correct, disagree or agree with me.
The expansion is very heavily weighteed towards purple, i dont like when an expansion gives this much attention to one color while giving that little to the other ones. I get OP02 or OP03, they were introducing Black and Yellow respectively and thus there was a real necessity but this feels incredibly arbitrary.
The choice of leaders is really weird, we have
Kalgara - ok, we needed a Shandian leader to support the OP05 cards and even if he didn't get much it still seems to work just fine

How is RP Law getting more support with every expansions?!? I Swear since i started playing the game every expansion has had major support for the deck. I went from liking it to wanting to build it to building Saka to hating it for being Bandai's favourite child to liking it again and it's still getting more broken support. The deck now plays like 16 2k counters like it's nothing while ramping so much it can afford to use Leader effect every turn and still get to 7 or 8 cost cards.
Why Pudding? I prefer it to Katakuri and it's Trigger roulette but God damn they gave the best lategame package in the game a leader that ramps and even more lategame xD Pudding will be a meta defining deck just as much as Law, she will make sure that if your deck doesn't have a huge endgame you can't play the game while he will tax your defences while bottomdecking every turn and rarely if ever running out of gas. My best hope is that those two decks sabotage each other enough to let other decks play the game xD
Last but definitely not least Marco support is shit.
When Marco leader was revealed i decided i would've played it in OP08 and got to work, i made a few prototype decklists and... well, from when we had only to leader to now, with the expansion fully revealed, i haven't changed a single card.
Marco works really well with pre existing Whitebeard cards and other blue and red cards (Sanji OP06, just to name one) but not a single card from OP08 fits the type of playstyle that he wants to do and honestly most of them are unplayable level of Bad.
And then i turned my attention to King, since for better or for worse im a black player now, and while the deck seems ok it kinda pales in comparison to Pudding.
I really hope im wrong with my meta takes and predictions.
Now for some things i actually liked
Kalgara seems to be doing much better than i anticipated and the deck is pretty much entirely made of commons and rares. A couple of Supers, like ST13 Ace, and if the deck proves to be at least low Tier 2 we may have the new cheapest deck in the format.
I really like what they are doing with Yellow in general (besides Pudding), they are moving away from "make generic trigger strong and make yellow decks play tons of generic trigger, that will be fun for everyone", with support to Vegapunk (that desperately needed it), Kalgara being an effective leader and even Pudding, for all my worries, at least she will play with her lives faceup xD

It feels weird both in concept, lore, game balance and gameplay mechanics.
Here are a random assortment of negative thoughs, feel free to correct, disagree or agree with me.
The expansion is very heavily weighteed towards purple, i dont like when an expansion gives this much attention to one color while giving that little to the other ones. I get OP02 or OP03, they were introducing Black and Yellow respectively and thus there was a real necessity but this feels incredibly arbitrary.
The choice of leaders is really weird, we have

Introduction
The following list gives an overview for the 42nd Mayor's Pass Season Route 66 - Summer Road Trip, of Simcity Buildit, which runs for 4 weeks, starting on Wednesday 29nd of May 2024. The Mayor's Pass has 38 tiers for the free and premium passes. The premium-plus pass, which was introduced during season 21, has 48 tiers.
A premium pass or a premium-plus pass can be bought at any moment during the season. When the season ends, the option to buy is closed at the same moment.
When buying a premium pass, the player has to choose between the 'basic" premium pass and the premium-plus pass. It is not possible to "upgrade" from a premium pass to a premium-plus pass once the premium pass has been bought.
Buying a premium pass or a premium-plus pass will immediately unlock all premium/plus rewards of the tiers that already have been finished at the moment of buying. The premium plus pass will also unlock the next 5 tiers (for more specific info: read the premium plus section).
The first 16 seasons were officially numbered. Uptil season 16 the reward items in the mayor's pass specialisation section were numbered according to their original seasons. Since the 17th season these numbers have disappeared. Instead of the season number the name of the season is now shown in the building information.
Rewards
The unique new reward buildings are indicated in bold in the rewards columns.
Most of the rewards are the same but less in quantity compared to the rewards prior to Mayor's Season 34.
The number of unique new buildings from the free pass has steadily gone down since the mayor's passes were originally introduced.
The free pass gave 10 unique new buildings in the first 2 seasons. From season 3 to 6, the free pass gave 5 unique new buildings. From Season 7 to 10, the free pass only gave 4 unique new buildings. From Season 11 to 33, the free pass only gave 3 unique new buildings. Now, you can only get 2 free unique new buildings.
Tier points
It is my assumption that this season will feature the same set of tier points as the last pass. This set of tier points was introduced in Season 34: Tokyo.
The list contains the number of plumbob points that are needed for each tier and the rewards from the free pass, the premium pass and the premium-plus pass.
Double points week
*During a Double points week, the regular assignments as well as the milestone tasks give double points. In Mayor's Passes prior to Season 34, there was a "double points week" in the 6th week (which only lasted 5 days for 6-week passes because the season ends when the 6th CoM week ends). Since Mayor's Pass Season 34, the double points week happens during the 4th week. *
Lightning CoM week
During season 25 there was a "Lightning CoM week" in week 5 for the first time: each CoM lasted 48 hours, and there were 3 CoM's during this week. Each CoM had 20 tasks less than the usual amount, and the targets for the milestones were lower (as well as the points for the milestones). But adding those 3 CoM's together, there were more tasks to complete and more points from milestones to gain, than during a regular week.
The Lightning CoM week wasn't repeated during seasons 26 and 28. Lightning CoM weeks did return in the 5th week during seasons 27 en 29, this time with 2 CoM's that each lasted 72 hours. In season 27 the second Lightning CoM had double points; probably due to a mistake by the developers.
Free and premium pass
In the table below, "tier points" indicate the number of plumbob points needed to get to the indicated tier from the previous tier. "Total points" gives the number of plumbob points from start upto the indicated tier.
Calculation for the weekly average points: The "weekly av." number indicates what your weekly plumbob points score should be if you want to reach that tier by the end of the season. Taking a double point week into consideration, in order to get to tier 38, you will need 86k during the first 3 weeks and 172k in the final week.
Premium-plus pass
There is no weekly average calculated for the tiers of the premium-plus pass, because the average that you need depends on when you buy the premium-plus pass.
Buying it at the start of the season will let you advance the first 5 tiers (14,000 points). Buying the premium-plus pass at a later moment will let you advance 5 tiers from your position at the moment of buying.
When you don't buy the pass when you have reached tier 38, you will still accumulate points but you no longer advance in tiers. Buying the premium-plus pass after reaching tier 38 will first advance you to tier 43. Then the extra points that you may have got after tier 38 will be taken into account and (if you have enough) will advance you further in the tiers.
Going from tier 38 to tier 43 will only save you 104k points. It is more profitable to buy the premium-plus pass when you have completed tier 33. That will bring you to tier 38, saving 138,500k points.
Taking a double points week into account, you need 131,700 weekly and 263,400 during the double points week to reach tier 48, when you buy the premium-plus pass at the start of the season. When you buy it immediately after having completed tier 33, you need 107k weekly and 214k during the double points week to finish tier 48.~~

This I just a fun idea, most likely not correct but could be.
I believe elbaf is something like the 9 realms of the world tree but instead of the realms they are islands with potentially different kinds of races. the world tree ydryssil is the giant tree in elbaf and would be known as the Adam tree. There is said to be a lot of wars happening around the Adam tree, a constantly fighting country would be perfect for country elbaf. The islands would be named after the world tree realm names. The ancient kingdom probably unified all the races under one kingdom.
The world government don’t even know whats happening on elbaf
I think the strawhats will be separated at Elbaf, they will separated into twos or ones and be each be at a location on elbaf. The world tree is already at elbaf aswell
I think Nami would be sent to Asgard and in the top of the trees, I think there would be a cloud island. I believe this was the other route to Skypia which gandfel spoke off. As going this way u could be either let in by the people or if crew could be eliminated. This place would be inhabited by sky people (Skypians) and nami would get stronger at this location.
I think zoro will be sent to helheim as he has themes that connect to hel and attacks are related to hell. Zoro vs the goddess of hel after claiming himself the king of hell. Hel is the daughter of Loki in mythology so maybe hel would be in the same bloodline as prince Loki. His sword is also based on hel and he even saw an unexplained grim reaper. Like brooks location this place probably has the second least amount of people, maybe ancient giants.
I think robin will be sent to jotunheim, this is a place that has the well of wisdom. Maybe this would mean the books from Ohara would be located there and where robin could reunite with Saul. I believe this is where the giants would be located and what we’ve seen when visiting elbaf.
I think luffy and Ussop will start at the middle point of the tree so at the base of elbaf. This place would be called Midgard and it will allow for luffy and ussop to travel through the lands and explore. Luffy and ussop are called Gods so being in the place where it is said to be one of the weakest realms would not fit their title. I believe luffy and Ussop will travel to all these lands and pick up the crew whilst achieving their goals. Ussop is the also the most humanly. I think manly humans will be located here and some giants. This could be where Mother caramel set up shop. Shanks and his crew was also at this island when they defeated Kidd. Multiple races including 3 eyes could reside here.
I think Sanji will be at muspelheim the realm of fire and would battle or come into contact with sutur and fire giant who wields a giant fire sword and is incredibly strong. At this point, we’re almost certain that Bonney has the most potential to become the next and final StrawHat, which could fill the role of the apprentice of the crew (as it’s been revealed [SPOILERS] that her real age, is only at twelve).
But why do I think this?
First thought that came to mind was, what if Oda did a Jinbe with Bonney?
What do I mean by this, well even though Jinbe was name dropped all the way back in Ch. 69, the beginning of the Arlong Park Arc, he also was being introduced as a part of the Warlord system, so he was included in one of the superpowers of the world. Now which other group of pirates is as famous as the Warlords? That’s right, The Supernovas. So what if Oda sneakily put Bonney there with the others to blend in and for none of us to suspect a thing, until the moment Oda wanted us to know.
What I like about this idea is that, first, we met Bonney pre-timeskip, so all of the StrawHats were introduced one way or another in the first half of the series, also that she was physically introduced (in Ch. 498*)* before Jinbe was (which was in Ch. 528*)*, so technically Jinbe would be the last StrawHat to be introduced in the story. Also, it would follow the same pattern of the last two StrawHats that joined, which is, that the two were Captains of their respective crews beforehand.
Brook was the Captain of the Rumbar Pirates, a crew from the generation before Roger.
Jinbe was part of the Warlord system and the Captain of the Sun Pirates
And Bonney is part of the Supernova/Worst Generation and also the Captain of The Bonney Pirates
This is kind of cool because it would make all three captains from different eras of piracy.
Also, since Oda throughout the whole story, have shown us how much he loves doing everything in threes, for example;

Also, in a strange way each Captain Pirate Theme represents a characteristic that Luffy loves or is identified (this also applies to his Sun God Nika Form) with:
Brook with his music represents the Drums of Liberation, also that Musical and Jolly part of him.
Jinbe’s Symbol for his Pirate Flag represents the Sun, The awakened form of Luffy, that being the Sun God Nika. Also, Luffy with his actions brings Joy, Freedom and Warmth everywhere he goes. Because Luffy is the light that shines brightly in the dark. In other words, he represents the sun that brings the light of dawn after the darkest hour of night is over.
Bonney represents his limitless power, as her fruit and Luffy’s are limited only by the power of Imagination and Belief. She also represents Luffy’s Child Like Innocence (as she is revealed to be a literal child) and the Gluttonous part of him. Even her epithet, which is “Big Eater Bonney” (or like it says in the official translation “Glutton Bonney”), has direct ties to one of Luffy’s most recognizable traits, being a glutton.
With all this in mind, we’ve also seen her backstory, which in my opinion not only does it fit with the other female StrawHats (in how tragic it is), but is one of the best backstories we’ve had in the whole series. Then, after thinking about it and analyzing it for a bit, I noticed similarities with Jinbe’s backstory (the last StrawHat to join), in a way that even though the backstory involves them, they aren’t the main focus in it. This could be Oda’s way of mixing it up for the last two StrawHats that join the crew.
In Jinbe’s case the flashback’s main point of view characters are Otohime, Fisher Tiger, and lastly Jinbe, adding very little of his own, and in Bonney’s case Kuma’s the main point of view with Bonney adding some details of her own.
Another reason why Bonney fits with the StrawHats, she’s alone, her crew is nowhere to be seen after the Post TimeSkip, it’s evident since every time we see Bonney, she’s all by herself, in other words, she doesn’t have a place to go after this. Also, VegaPunk entrusted the StrawHats to protect Bonney as she is but a child with no one in the world.
Even in that infamous group of pirates she is a part of, The Supernova’s/ Worst Generation, she’s an outlier. Her reputation as a pirate is not from doing evil things or being a true pirate, like Kid or Bege, is more in line with Luffy and the StrawHats. It seems she had her reputation made from false reports, misunderstandings and rumors, not facts. Even her philosophy as a Pirate seems to be on the more innocent and good side of things, “Steal whatever you want (from bad guys), don’t help other people (unless they need it)” Bonney’s words in Ch. 1102.
Also, with her now revealed connection to the Pacifistas and Celestial Dragons, it would be the perfect personal motive for the StrawHats to defeat The World Nobles at the end, like they already have done for Robin against the World Government beforehand.
Just imagine this for a second, around the StrawHats she won’t need to be an adult, she can actually be free as a child on a grand adventure for once, she can be herself. Let’s add that with this, the StrawHats would pay back Kuma’s kindness on Sabaody by indirectly fulfilling his wish, or better said inheriting his will, to take his daughter on a adventure. Also the potential dynamics with each individual StrawHat could range from hilarious to wholesome. From Luffy and Bonney fighting over food as Sanji kicks him away to give her the food, to Nami being all motherly and taking care of her. She could be the first girl to hang out with Luffy, Usopp and Chopper and act like them when seeing Franky’s cool robots, etc.
Thinking about it, Oda could of potentially hinted that a kid would be on the crew ever since Punk Hazard with Momonosuke and in Wano again, with the crew’s connection with Otama and how important her role turned out to be in the raid on Onigashima. But as they were only children, they were physically too weak to be in the Future Pirate King’s crew. But this could have been Oda polishing up his skills as a writer and using Momo and Otama for practice as he could have always known that Bonney was a child and would be a potential StrawHat.
The difference with Bonney and the other children is, first of all she is already an established pirate, and for a child she isn’t weak at all, as she is part of the Supernova’s/Worst Generation group of Pirates which were the strongest of that Generation, also let’s not forget how she can easily beat a Vice Admiral, as seen in Ch. 1112.
She just makes sense with the crew, and I felt it from the moment she started to interact with Luffy, Chopper and Jinbe. But the biggest clue for me was when all of a sudden Luffy started calling Bonney by her name, with Trafalgar he always called him Trao, and he always called Yamato by Yamao, which is one of the biggest hints for me that Yamato wasn’t joining, and never wasn’t going to. Anyways, at this moment in Luffy’s journey is the perfect time for him to get an apprentice, as he himself is one of the top Four pirates of the World, a Yonko. And what better time for the last Straw Hat to join us than at the beginning of the Last Saga.
PS: By the way, I still believe that Vivi will return to the StrawHats, especially in how important her role in the story has become. Also, it kind of seems that Bonney’s and Vivi’s stories will complement each other, especially with both of them having such relevance in the final war and with what seem to be the final villain and faction of the story, the World Nobles.

So as I discussed in my last trip report l, a good friend came up to visit me in VA to experience some new theme parks they had never done. Day 1 (Friday) was Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens in ONE day the link to that report is here: https://www.reddit.com/rollercoasters/s/knR1swL1yQ Day 2 (Saturday) was a trip to Hershey park! This is a 3.5-4 hour drive that is well worth it. I went to Hershey last year for the first time and was blown away by how much I enjoyed it so I was exited to go back and also excited to guide my friend as they experienced the park. So going into the trip I already anticipated that there would be some rain for a portion of the just by checking the weather repeatedly. This did not deter us from going as I didn’t see any indications of a major thunderstorm. But we knew to dress accordingly bringing pants and rain jackets. I initially figured the rain would help with crowds so we wouldn’t need to purchase fast passes. Park opened at 11, but we went arrive till noon. As we’re driving into Pennsylvania the rain was coming down moderately nothing too crazy. I checked the app to see some wait times and I was kind of stunned. 105 minute waits, 90 minute waits, 75 minute waits for pretty much all the major coasters that were open. I knew then and there we would have to purchase fast pass so we did do that 100 bucks a piece before even getting in to the park. I was a little disappointed to see that storm runner and skyrush were both showing closed on the app, but I attributed that to the rain and had fingered cross that they both would be running a little later (spoiler I was correct they did open). Slight side note, this is the 2nd time I’ve had to purchase fast passes here. I believe last year I went on a Saturday as well and it was REALLY busy. So for anyone who has to travel to this park, if you are going on a Saturday I would strongly recommend getting the fast pass even if it’s saying it will rain. They have 2 options the regular fast pass which lets you skip the line once per ride and then unlimited one which gives you unlimited skips. Each time I’ve just done the one and it’s been enough for me, but I wouldn’t mind getting the upgraded version In the future to get more re-rides on certain things (more on that later) Anyways we get to the park around noon and I see a kiosk before you go in the park where it can automatically print out your fast pass wrist bands. LOVE this kiosk really great idea. Last year I had to go in the park to a building to get this and while it wasn’t an issue, your momentum is interrupted by having to take care of your entrance ticket and then having to go in the park and take care of the fast pass at another location. So here are the rides we did in order. Candymonium: this ride always has a huge line right at open and no surprise it was 90 minutes. But with fast pass we skipped all that which was great. What wasn’t great were the operations. The ride attendant controlling the dispatches was holding the gates for a ridiculous amount of time. They were running 2 trains, but The train behind was stacking every time while the train in the station was empty and not loaded at all because the gates were closed. I wasn’t sure if he was new or what, but that is not how to load and unload trains idc what park you’re at. Anyways we do front row which was a first for me since I did back row last year. I really like Candymonion (CM) it’s a fun hyper that is incredible smooth. Good airtime moments on all the hills. It’s not an intense ride at all, but just a really fun ride to start the day. Skyrush: I saw Skyrush send a test train right when we exited CM and was so excited so we darted there. I was ready to try out the new trains. The older trains were verrry tight on the thighs, but it was still a crazy wild ride so I was excited to see how this would turn out with new trains. They were only doing one train ops the whole day for Skyrush but this didn’t matter for us because we had the fast pass so we got on the back row rather quickly. I did a wing seat same as I did last time. Skyrush was and still is very intense especially when compared to CM. The new restraints are very comfortable and I wasn’t stapled in the station but the G forces did push the restraints further down almost immediately at the pull out of the first drop. Even still…the ejector airtime is just crazy on this ride. The kink in the drop is quirky as always and noticeable pop of ejector at that moment. The camel back I was flying out the seat even with the restraint having moved in a little. The laterals were good too but not overly crazy. A good flinging out the seat moment occurred on one of the direction change transitions but interestingly that same moment felt wilder the last time I ride it. The ride is ‘smooth’, but not say glass smooth like CM you can feel a little rattle in some portions. I dont think it detracts from the ride at all though. & Either way still a great ride. I wish I did another ride on this. Both of my visits I only did it once. I enjoy it every time but I just keep feeling like I need to do it again to get a good feel for the experience. Great bear: I liked Great bear last year, but this year it really stood out to me as a star of an attraction. I’m not sure what it was. It was running wonderfully. Very smooth. Back car is just fantastic for this ride getting pulled down the drop (and talk about a drop that is the most interesting B&M first drop). Great positives but not overly headache or grey out inducing positives. All the rolls had a really good balance of snap and gracefulness to them. I enjoyed this ride so much it may beat out Carowinds afterburn as my #2 in my ranking of best inverts I’ve done. I will need to re-ride afterburn again to fully make that claim but this ride was seriously phenomenal. (Definitely prefer this over Alpengeist which has a trim that nerds the 2nd half of that layout really bad) Storm runner: I saw storm runner running with guests while in the queue for Skyrush so I was exited. But as we were walking to storm runner the rain had picked up a little again and I didn’t see any more trains running I was getting nervous. Once I get there I see people in the station but no one in the trains. I asked and an attendent said the ride was down currently for weather. I was bummed but I figured the raid would peter out again and we’d revisit. Instead we did: Jolly Rancher Remix (boomerang): this one was still operating in the weather conditions at that time so we used our flash pass to skip a long line and get right on. I skipped this one last time as I didn’t really care about boomerangs so this was a new credit for me. I was VERY impressed. It was really fun. Good comfortable restraints. And the tunnel with the fog was such a nice touch. It was a little disorienting going backward which was great. I will definitely be riding this each visit. The boomerangs aren’t super tall but in the back car on the way up at that angled slope it feels really tall. Nice visual effect. After this we had an intermission since it was raining anyway we had a reservation at the chocolatier restaurant so we headed there next. I did this restaurant last time and it was alright, but since I had other people with me who hadn’t experienced it I figured why not. The ambience is still super nice with this place as it was last time. I got an 18 dollar cookies and cream milkshake which is pricey but it was gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous and delicious! I ordered the salmon and I was a bit disappointed with this choice and wished I had just gotten a burger. The salmon wasn’t horrible but they sprinkled some heath nuts (?) on top and it really didn’t taste like heath at all just nuts. I scraped them off as I didn’t like that flavor or texture combination. All In all after 2 visits to this restaurant I guess I could visit again, but honestly I would like to see or try something else for dining in the park (suggestions welcome). Again it’s a pretty restaurant with a nice ambience but it’s pricey and each time I’m not leaving 100% satisfied so ehh? Anyways it stopped raining by the time we left the restaurant and I was seeing trains for some major coasters being tested so we bee line it to: Storm runner (PT 2): this time it was open. Storm runner was THE highlight attraction for me last year so I could not wait to ride it again. And it did not disappoint. This is a gem of an attraction that I just can’t get enough of. 30 seconds of pure adrenaline and the heart beat audio playing in the station every so often was just fantastic. This was my friends first ever hydraulic launch so I was excited for them to experience it. And this launch is just simply one of the best I’ve ever been on and I’ve done. It’s a gut punch in the best way how powerful this acceleration is. Super unfortunate that they are a maintenance nightmare for parks and Intamin is no longer doing this model type because these launches can’t be beat by even the best Intamin LSM. So I do recommend people who haven’t done one to try storm runner. What I love about this ride is that even after the top hat it’s not over they incorporated such an action packed layout and that flying snake dive element is world class. I rode in the back the first time but we ended up circling back towards the end of the day there was pretty much no one in line so we got two more rides in the front. While you can’t go wrong In any row This is a front row ride it just blew me away once again. I hope they continue to maintain this rare kind of coaster because it is again a gem. Farenheight: next we did this. Line was a little long but with fast pass we were in in no time. Rode in the back car and it was super fun! Lot of positive Gs on the first couple valleys. It had a great ejector bunny hill towards the end and a great head chopper moment as well. All In all I really like Farenheight. I think I prefer their take on the vertical lift model as opposed to Gerstlauer but from a cost perspective I can see why parks would go for a Gerstlauer. Wildcats Revenge: last year when I rode this I ofc enjoyed it because..hello RMC. But there were some critiques u had about some questionable lateral forces on some unbanked sections that weren’t super comfortable. The line was long ofc but with fast pass we cut right In front of all the lines. I rode again in the back. But I noticed I wasn’t nearly as stapled in the restraint as I was last time. I think I had the restraint kind of around the minimum position where the sensor would ‘approve’ and show up green on the monitor maybe a little bit lower down. The attendant didn’t try and staple me either (I try to prop one of my legs up to help with this) and I must say my experience was sublime. Not being pinned down I was gettting LAUNCHED out the seat each element very powerful ejector. I had a similar experience to Great Bear where I really appreciated this layout the second visit around. It was fantastic. I thought it was a clear step below Twisted Timbers before but not its right up there with that one maybe even higher with this sublime experience (I have iron gwazi and Arie Force as # 1 and 2 for RMC). Laff Trak: another new credit. The fast pass did nothing for us wait time wise. The queue inside with the mirrors had no air ventilation or AC going. It was very muggy and uncomfortable in there. Hershey will need to do something about that. As it warms up people could get really sick or have a heat stroke in there. One of the people in my party walked out the line because they were feeling sick. Anyways I braved the hot queue and eventually rode I was pleasantly surprised. The indoor neon light in the dark cutouts looked AMAZING. Seriously stunning. The ride itself is fun with a nice drop. The rest of the layout leaves some to be desired. Would have liked to see something a little more wild actually. The seats didn’t spin that that much either so that was kind of a disappointment but the theming inside the attraction was the standout part for me. Comet: last ride of the day was comet. In hindsight I wish I had gone to Skyrush but my friend was trying to get a new credit so I was supporting them. Comet is a fun classic wooden coaster that looks great with the classic wooden coaster strobe lights that were on in full effect. It’s my understanding they got new trains for the ride? I noticed they looked very clean and polished. The ride itself is a fun little wood coaster that doesn’t offer a whole lot in terms of thrills for me but I can still appreciate it. We ended the day in that huge merch shop attached to the chocolatier restaurant and did some shopping in Hershey world for candy we don’t need haha. They have great merch at Hershey park I will say. TLDR: had a fabulous trip to Hershey park despite some rain we were able to get on most of the major coasters. Highly recommend. |

After rewatching one piece and getting back up to Baratie, I have a theory with little to no strong evidence to back it up, I just thought it was interesting.
So Luffy is actually just a single-minded psychopath, who is absolutely determined to get the one piece.
When he picked Zoro and Sanji to join his crew, you can see the scenes of him looking at them in the moments which push them to the brink of their character, with a deadpan face.
He instantly let robin join the crew, no questions asked.
My theory as to why this is (which I don’t actually believe) is this:
He’s putting on an act of being a great captain, who would do anything for his crew. This is because he sees their potential for growth (correctly) and wants them to serve as military power for him to then get the one piece. Robin he knows can read the Poneglyphs, so he’s positively ecstatic to have her join the crew. He has convinced Zoro, Sanji, Nami, Usopp, and Chopper to join his crew at this point (despite their various mental and physical roadblocks) so he believes he can “fix her” and make her a full-on loyal crew member.
One piece of evidence is this: Gear 2, and Gear 3. We know canonically that they don’t just sail around for a few months between arcs, doing pirate stuff or whatever. So when did he learn to do that?
I believe he already knew it before his journey started. He’s always letting out just enough power to beat his enemies, creating the false illusion of growth. He may have even had gear 5 already, but likely not gear 4th because he seemingly didn’t know what Haki was.
We saw with Kanjuro that such a level of acting has been achieved before in one piece.
Another piece of evidence may be the deadpan expressions when he observes potential crewmates. Everyone else in those scenes are shouting, scared, shocked, very emotional overall. Luffy is analysing just how useful they will turn out to be.
Luffy and Blackbeard have been shown to be two sides of the same coin. But what if that is more so than we originally thought? Blackbeard picks strong crewmates and the only loyalty they have is a mutual goal. But Luffy may be going for a different approach. He observed with Shanks’ Crew just how effective real loyalty and love is in a crew.
And shanks himself is VERY shady, so this could be Luffy’s inspiration/mentor. It could even n be that Shanks trained Luffy up to be this way after he ate the nika fruit, because he knew the prophecy and wanted to ensure it be realised.
Anyways what do you guys think of this theory? It’d be very disorienting to the themes of one piece if true.
