Hi all. This is my first post on here so pls be kind🤍 My (25F) ex bf (23M) of one year just broke up with me less than a week ago… I should pre-face that I was his first real relationship, and he has never done the things that he did with me (sexually/platonically) with another girl …
Basically he broke up with me 2-3 weeks ago but we agreed to remain “friends” (continued acting like we were in a relationship….) and after calling him out for getting possessive over me in regards to something we agreed we’d try and make a relationship work again. He broke up with me a solid week after that.
He recently got his dream job and became obsessed with getting rich and making a lot of money. I’d say things like how money isnt everything or I’d give him genuine advise about work (sales), like not to hang on every word of a potential client so as not to get disappointed when they flaked, he got offended and told me I was too negative. We had also been fighting quite a bit recently… a while ago we got into a pretty big fight and i said some mean things i regretted saying that he held on to. basically his reasoning for the breakup in the end was that we’re just “not compatible” and “too different”. When I asked if he saw us getting back together down the line he replied with “maybe, who knows if a year or two down the line we find one another again”.
I feel heartbroken.. it’s been days since we spoke and he hasn’t reached out. He told me that he cared for me deeply and that I could always reach out to him if I was in a place where I needed to. I’ve fallen into the trap of stalking his socials only to find that he’s liked girls photos (girls he hadn’t followed/liked before).
TLDR; BF broke up with me… I’m afraid I won’t be able to find someone who made me feel the way he did. Is it possible he’d want me again? would it even be the same?

I tried posting this on kendrick almost a week ago and it got no response, I messaged the mods to ask about Karma restrictions or account age requirements and they never replied. I made a new account and it was the same issue, but I found out last night I wasn’t fully banned, so I figured I’d throw it up and see if anyone finds it valuable. It’s written for people who have no prior knowledge of the rap game/music business. I don’t have to go as hard on obscuring names this time. One of the influencers I mentioned in my last post is known for doxxing and threatening violence against people who mention the many contradictions in their stories. (Sorry for any typos/mistakes I want to go to bed.)
Origins
I believe the current Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef is either completely or partially fabricated by certain industry leaders or the parties involved in an effort to distract from something bigger going down behind the scenes. If you were an influential label owner facing major accusations, and you needed to deflect media attention from yourself, recreating one of the most defining moments in rap history during the social media era would be a way to do it. It also wouldn’t hurt that two of the biggest rappers in the world were already sending shots at each other in their music for years prior. The public consensus is they are simply two famous rappers who hate each other and fighting over the spot for the top like in the 90’s. Only people who were directly involved could paint a more cohesive picture of the whole story. Even when all the cards drop, there is a good chance the average person won’t be able to find direct sources on their own and will continue to support their favorite artists and dismiss any evidence of their crimes like the drizzy subreddit or Ak fans.

As I said the beef between Kendrick and Drake has been brewing in the background for years, with both rappers sending shots and sneak dissing each other over the course of at least 8 years. The most agreed upon origin story is the first diss was the 2016 Big Sean and Kendrick collaboration, “Control,” and Drake responded with, “The Language”. Things stayed relatively lighthearted for a while and both were intentionally vague for many years. Before I go deep into the Kendrick and Drake stuff, it’s really important to examine some of Drake’s prior beefs because they add a ton of context to my theory. In my opinion Kendrick and Co. started scheming all of this some time around Mid 2020-Mid 2022, well after the whole Pusha T beef had transitioned into the Kanye beef.

What exactly started the beef is debatable, but at the time many attributed it to rumors of Drake pursuing Ye’s ex Amber Rose. Unfortunately the timeline isn’t 100 percent clear, and if I included every detail this would be at least 200+ pages so I’ll stick with the important stuff. The ultimate outcome of the Pusha T battle in 2018 was the revelation of Drake’s son Adidon that he had previously been hiding from the world along with getting Ye directly involved in the beef.

Here are some more examples of Drake antagonizing Ye and of him trying to use women as pawns to get material for his diss tracks. The Drake line, “Yeah, I probably go link to Yeezy, I need me some Jesus, but as soon as I start confessin' my sins, he wouldn't believe us," could be a reference to sleeping with Kim Kardashian, trying to double down on his threats to harm him or his family, or it could be a double entendre. Another example is using the name Kiki in another song, which was apparently one of Kim’s nicknames. Some other possible examples include the theories he may have tried the same thing with Kendrick’s wife Whitney around 2020-2021 in an attempt to use as ammo against Kendrick, which I’ll go into later. I don’t listen to much of either artist's music, but there are probably many of other examples in Drake’s catalogue that I’m leaving out. There is also his song Omerta released in 2019, which I'll go into below.

(Probably referring to Kim Kardashian since she had a few pictures with her wearing diamond ankle bracelets and was trying to make it into a trend.

(There were various rumors floating around for a while that Drake was blackmailing Ye with something and he was fighting to keep it from the public. I thought about it and this line might be referencing a sex tape with Kim or her little sister who me was very touch before she turned 18. In 2022 there was a whole storyline on Kim’s show where Ye flies to LA to prevent her second sex tape from being released.)

(Sounds a lot more like it could be crypto to launder or send large amounts of ill gotten gains. It started becoming mainstream around them)

These lines stood out because they could be referring to Ye telling the public about Drake's alleged threats a couple months before the songs release. This happened not long after the release of Sicko mode which was towards the end of 2018 as well. Ye was discussing the incident on Twitter and reached out to Drake and Travis to talk to him in private. In the next set of tweets Kanye publicly accused Drake of threatening him and his family in a major way. Surprisingly Ye seemed genuinely scared and amongst his, “crazy rants,” some of the stuff he said makes a ton of sense in hindsight. This also the beginning of his second serious public struggles with Bipolar disorder after being committed in 2016 shortly after an on stage rant where he calls out Jay Z for selling out and says he's afraid he might kill him.. As someone who shares the same diagnosis, I have a pretty good understanding of mania and psychosis and firmly believe that it's important not to write people off right away due to their mental illness. Some of my most thoughtful, creative, and productive periods were inspired by mania. Industry bigwigs have also been using mental illness to discredit influential black celebrities and visionaries going back decades, but it really picked up in the 80’s.

Dave Chappelle has gone into this a lot in the past and claims he experienced something similar before he quit show business and dipped to Africa. Their stories have a lot of interesting parallels if you’re familiar or curious. I remember he actually visited Ye at his house in Wyoming after he was reported to have had a, "mental breakdown," during his presidential run in 2020 thus marking his third breakown in six years.. The reason I put it in quotes is because it happened right after he publicly accused Kim of cheating and delivered his legendary speech on abortion. Dave went as far as going on live tv and telling the public he wasn’t crazy, he was just really struggling because he was the only one at the time fighting against the narrative, which can often be a suicide mission or a ticket to obscurity. These are three examples of someone speaking up and being deemed crazy, two years later came the nazi stuff and I'm sure we'll have plenty in store for 2024.

This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the very common pattern of artists dying or having their careers destroyed either after they try to leave their label or threaten to reveal industry secrets. A few more interesting industry connections I made in my research include the connections between:

T.U.G. records and J Cole's independent label Dreamville are both managed by Interscope Records, whose parent company is Universal Music Group.

Universal Music Group also hac Drake's label OvO label as well as Ye and Kendrick's old labels on their roster before they left to form their own independent labels in 2022 (around the same time the disses between Kendrick and Drake started escalating). Finally Bad Boy Records, which is owned by Diddy, and Motown Records who own Diddy's other R&B label Love Records, are also both owned by Universal. This means every label I mention is currently or was previously owned by Universal Music Group.

Ye tried for years to get out of his contract with Defjam, which happens to be ran by Jay Z who is known to be a close associate of Diddy. Jay would always used his money and power to fight against it. Ye even spoke out publicly on a few occasions, including when he said Jay Z was trying to kill him during one of his concerts. My theory is after years of getting nowhere and having his reputation skewered, in 2022 Ye finally said, "Fuck it," and dropped all the anti- Semetic stuff intentionally in a successful attempt to force his label to into using their morality clause, which requires labels to drop an artist if they're accused of any major controversy that could hurt the label’s profits. For the fourth time in four years the media reported he was having a breakdown. Even though they tried to punish him by cutting off all of his sources of income and freezing his accounts he still managed to bounce back pretty quickly. It was often reported how much he was losing, but it rarely discussed how he still was filthy rich in spite of the retrictions. His label wanted to discourage other artists from trying the same thing. My theory is he might have bought Kim or Kylie's alleged sex tape and used it for his own leverage. For Kendrick, his transition to his independent label ApLang went a lot smoother, but he had to split ownership of his new label with the previous manager owner Dave Free. Sadly it's still difficult for new or more niche artists to establish themselves without the some help.

He may be a lot of things but Ye isn’t dumb just because he has a mood disorder and the guys at the top know this, which is why I think he has really played up his diagnosis when it benefitted him. He’s still one of the most talented musicians in the game and I really think he sees his bipolar like a superpower as he says. It’s like his own invisibility cloak. He can go off his meds for a little, make an album after staying up for 72 hours, go on a “psychotic” twitter rant dropping facts throughout, then start up again once he makes enough news headlines. I think it’s worth noting the first divorce rumors in 2020 coincided with Ye’s abortion speech during his presidential run and the cheating accusations. that led to him dropping out and moving to Wyoming, and a couple months ago in February 2024 he was committed again.

The point I’m making is bipolar is complex, but pretty manageable especially if you have a ton of money to find meds that work for you and a good doctor and can keep substance abuse and stress at a manageable level. I think Ye is smart enough to know this, but it’s just safer for him to really play up the mental issues in the media. He’s proven he can literally say whatever he wants after getting cancelled and the average person is just going to write it off as psycho babble. While bias in health care is a sad fact of society, if you can use it to your advantage I say go for it. It might’ve just kept the microscope off of him long enough to plan his attack.

These first four tweets by Ye were all in reference to perceived threats made by Drake after their beef escalated circa 2018. He began speaking on the industry and talking more about his psych hospital commitment two years prior and how he thought they were going to kill him. It's pretty obvious how the whole thing was planned by the sketchy doctor who called it in and his physical trainer who has a ton of connections to weird shit involving his celebrity clients.

I found interesting that Ye might not have been the first major league rapper whose life Drake threatened. During a similar period of mental illness the up and coming rapper XXXtentacion accused Drake of stealing his flow and dissed him a few times. Not long after he made a post online saying if he dies, it was Drake who did it. There are tons of conspiracies online, but none of the evidence is strong enough to draw a definitive connection. Also while it maybe be coincidental, Kendrick’s latest album Mr Morale also painted the picture that Kendrick was dealing with some serious personal issues. Some lines throughout the album may have been used to bait Drake into escalating, but it wasn’t until The Weekend, Future, and Metro Booming dropped, “We Don’t Trust You,” then Drake and J. Cole dropped, “First Person Shooter,” which was followed a couple days later with, “Like That,” where Kendrick started the chain of events that has led us to today.

Summary: Ye runs for president and gets suppressed for saying what very well could be the truth and was immediately deemed insane by the media. Kim did a couple interviews and everything he said was immediatly false. There is almost guarenteed to be some sketchy shit going down revolving her and her family. Ye was absolutely terrified of her keeping the kids away from him and it seems like there are still efforts being made to this day to paint a certain image of him for ulterior motives.

"the utmost respect for all brothers" and said "we need to link and respect each other... no more dissing each other on labels we don't own"

"Ye is constantly trying to tell people that his family does not have his or his kids best interests at heart. He goes on to list others, linking them together with the thinking emoji. These people include rap artist Drake and Larsa Pippen, wife of Scottie Pippe. Kim K is goddaughter to Pippen's daughter, showing how close the families actually are. All of these families that associate with Ye through Kardashian connections, as well as Drake, have been accused of the same thing Kris has. EVERY SINGLE ONE of these people have mixed race children that are groomed from a young age to fuck around with celebrities so the parents can remain famous. Drake on numerous occasions has been accused of grooming girls and then getting handsy on their 18th birthday.”

Ye is realizing he is pawn in a bigger game, and now that he has all these roots in the game such as Yeezy or the Gap or his music, too many people cant risk (Afford) a Ye who speaks his mind.”

Amongst the twitter rant, Ye warned about the predatory nature of record deals and discussed trying to get out of his own deal, and said again how his life may be in danger if it wasn’t already and was doing anything he could to protect his kids. The most fascinating part to me though is the public call to arms he made to Drake, J Cole, and Kendrick on twitter. After inviting them to all link up, he said, “It’s time to get free, we will not argue amongst each other while some guy we don’t know in Europe is getting paid and putting that money in a hedge fund.” I believe if Ye was able to pull off this meeting, there is an ever so slight chance that all four artists might be working together to take down a greater enemy. Weirdly there have been times throughout the last couple years where these supposed enemies were photographed together being friendly or praise each other in interviews, then out of no where the disses would start flying again.

To wrap things up I want to share my a few of my theories about the Drake/Kanye beef

A. Everything is exactly as it seems and the beef is over. Ye let his mental illness ruin his life and career so Drake simply picked another target after Ye stopped putting out disses. All of these connections are just a coincidence and all of this was choreographed to boost Drake and Kendrick’s music sales and possibly distract people from the Diddy trial and possibly the complicated geopolitical issues currently facing the U.S.

C. There is also the possibility that all four rappers are in cahoots and Drake’s dirt isn’t as extreme as people are theorizing, at least in comparison to the rest of the business. This could explain why everything has played out like a movie and how they were able to predict each other’s moves so well. This could either mean they’re all just trying to boost their sales or they’re all trying to take down the “slave masters,” as Ye calls them, and change the dynamic of the music industry in favor of the artist.

D. They may be trying to help their friends in the industry who are being abused or in shitty contracts. I know a lot of famous rappers have done a lot of collaborations with Jhene Aiko and Anderson Paak, who were both signed to T.U.G. records which I mentioned above in the connections to Universal Music Group. Considering they are both frequent collaborators with all of the artists involved on both sides, it’s not unlikely they may have played some part in influencing the takedown.

T.U.G was started by Chris Stokes with his partner Ketrina Askew. Back in the early to mid 90’s were gaining popularity attracting lots of young up and coming talent. They often collaborated with Diddy and his associates. In the 2000’s Raz B from the boy band B2K claimed he was molested by Stokes and his friend Marques Houston, then quickly retracted his claims. Years later he came forward again and said we was bribed into silence and that the rest of the victims were bribed with hush money and had another singer corroborate his story and they came forward together to level the accusations. After some of his former B2K members made fun of him for his claims and accused it of being a shakedown, Raz B revealed Stokes and Houston had preyed a lot of the children associated with the label including at least one of the former bandmates and paid them off.

I thought it was worth noting that the second whistleblower named Quindon Tarver died young in a car crash after mentioning his abuse again a few years prior. He seems to have left the industry not long after the incidents occurred and has few credits to his name. To this day Raz B is still trying to get his justice, while Stokes and his partner Askew, who was also involved in the abuse are still running the label to this day. Askew also has a ton of lawsuits, accusing her of using shady tactics to try to foreclose on houses. (Don’t quote me if a lawyer wants to take a look just google her full name), and has been tied to a ton of LLCs, similar to Drake. This is a good example of a shitty record deal, but I'm sure they have countless other friends in the industry who have even worse. While they were never convicted even Chris Stokes' wife confirmed it to be true.

E. The theory I personally think fits the narrative best and is the most realistic conspiracy is that Kendrick and possibly J. Cole went to the meeting, but not Drake due to his close relationship with Lucian Grange, the president of Drake’s label. Silence often speaks louder than words and this could explain why Kendrick was so ruthless and put so much effort into finding dirt on Drake. Ye, Cole, and Kendrick co-writing would be like the rap allstar team and if J. Cole wasn’t involved, it would also answer the question of whether or not he baited Drake into the battle by asking him to feature. I don’t think Drake is really their primary target though, which would explain letting him off easy. Compared to his bosses and their bosses he’s a small fish. If you take the big guys down you stand a better chance of landing a bigger blow on their operation.

Another really interesting connection is Kendrick and Ye were both signed under Universal Music Group and they both got out of their deals around couple months apart in 2022. As we speak U.M.G’s CEO Lucian Grange, who is often acccused of giving Drake special treatment, is facing charges related to sex trafficking by no other than P Diddy. This could very well explain the timing of it all. The craziest timeline would be Diddy masterminding all of this and using his connections to get it done and all the allegations are bullshit. The guy does seem pretty confident all things considered and constantly posts himself in his Batman costume which could mean he’s a vigilante.

It seems like there's a slight religious angle as well. (Ye and Diddy are both very vocal advocates of Christianity and Drake and Lucian Grange are both Jewish.) Obviously this is a reach, but they’ve been saying rap music was specifically promoted by mostly white label owners in the 80’s to help in the ongoing effort to expedite the systematic oppression of those living in black neighborhoods and the destruction of their family systems. Apparently it was an intentional decision to heavily promote rappers that promoted the very things that were destroying their neighborhoods. (So people know I'm and atheist and have zero agenda, I just thought it was interesting, please stay away from anything antisemitic. War is wrong on both sides.)

*** If my favorite theory is true, there is a possibility the Kendrick and Ye are going after Drake due to their mutual disdain for him and because he’s got a ton of power to dominate the charts and hog the radio airtime like Meek Mill and OG Maco claimed years ago. Even him dropping a record the same day as you could really fuck your album sales up. I’m also sure some of the many rumors throughout the years have had a least some truth and he will most likely snitch to avoid cell block one. I think that Drake could have been instructed to instigate this whole mess in order to draw attention away from the UMG charges brought about by Diddy. Or on the other hand it could be that Kendrick, Ye, and possibly Cole, may have had intel that Drake was going to be involved in the Diddy trial and are just gonna let the receipts show themselves. It might not have been the original plan, but they’ve already accomplished their mission of humiliating him, assuring he couldn’t use his influence to slide through the cracks, and taking over the throne.

Please take everything I say with a grain of salt I have no connection to this world or lifestyle. Regardless I believe all of the knowledge above does a pretty solid job at painting a picture of what may have let up to this and what may have been the source.

Drake and Diddy Connections+Coincidences

Drake- In the P Diddy wig video from 2016 he talks about going to party with Drake, Cash, and The Weeknd in Toronto. Drake is also one of Birdman’s protégées who is known for being a predator and is rumored to have used label artists to lure young women.

Travis Scott- Interview where he comes out and says Diddy tried to lure him. Still has a long history of associating with him, video of him running from Diddy, his connection to Ruby Rose while underage.

Tim Westwood- Diddy had connections with sex offender Tim Westwood who also inspired the Drake song, “Westwood”. They also both were victims of drive by shootings along with The Weekend and they were all facing some type of allegations.

T.I.- Also has been associate with Diddy through the years, in 2021 his kid died and 11 women can forward at the same time to accuse him and his wife of drugging and assaulting them. Clearly someone wanted to fuck his life up. Possibly due to him getting arrested so many times for wild shit and people wondering how he continued to get away with it shining a light on how powerful industry lawyers are. He also had recently talked about having a gynecologist check to see if his daughter is still a Virgin, which sounds like it could have been an industrty secret. Could have been because he worried about someone trying to take advantage of her to get to him? Regardless that shit is fucking insane.

50 Cent- Has been saying pretty much the same thing as Travis Scott and has trolled Diddy for most of his career. It came out that his wife was a sex worker who was possibly recruited Diddy to help ruin his career. It sort of worked, which raises the question if 50 Cent is the only victim.

Ray J- Him and his sister worked with T.U.G. records when they were very young. Chris Stokes in the nineties who had connections with Diddy. He has been involved in a lot of sex scandals and allegedly may have played a part in Whitney Houston's death. As part of a tentative divorce settlement, I'm getting a $75,000 buyout of the marital home, plus approx $45,000 in more cash. However, as part of the settlement, I can't get full 50/50 custody of our children until I'm able to get at minimum a 3 bedroom home (not apartment) in the same postal code as the marital home. There are very few homes in this area that are anywhere near my budget.
When we originally separated, I took our new'ish Subaru Outback and my ex took our Pacifica Minivan. Unfortunately, once our younger of 3 child's car seat became front facing, I couldn't safely fit all 3 seats in the Outback, forcing me to sell/trade the vehicle. The used car market was horrendous, and used minivans in particular were incredibly overpriced. At the time, I was looking at $25k-$30k for a 4+ year old minivan with 60k+ miles on it, plus interest rates of around 8%, and little if any warranty. Being that I could get a new minivan with a 10y100k mile warranty for about $10,000 more at a much lower rate, 3.8%, and tax savings by trading my Outback in, I worked out a deal with a local dealer to give me private sale KBB value on the Outback in trade, discount a 2022 model (when 2023's were on the lots for 6 months already), and throw in the dealer extended warranty. My payments came out to $733 per month. Wasn't ideal, the merits of my decision is a topic for another day, and I hated to do it, but for my kids' safety and to find a reliable vehicle, this seemed to be the best course of action. I've had it for a year. The payoff amount is $32,000.
I have approx $17,000 in credit card debt, which is mostly due to legal fees from the divorce. To pay the cards down to be less than 30% of my credit limit, I need $12,400. I fucking hate credit cards, but I also had to pay a lawyer to fight for my custody rights. I get it, I want these cards paid off immediately, and most of the balances are at 0% for at least 5 more months. So I want to pay them off by then and avoid interest charges.
Why do I need to buy a home near the marital home as part of the settlement? The marital home is very close to the children's elementary school, and their school bus picks them up just one block from the home. There are absolutely no homes for sale within a mile radius of the marital home, nor is there anything within the school zone that would put them on the bus route. It's a very busy area, so even if I get a home 10 miles away, it's going to be heavy traffic to/from the school, which will be a twice per day trip, liable to cause me to get stuck in traffic and be late taking/picking up the kids from school. And personally, this time away from my job could have a negative outcome and cause me to work later hours and/or miss meetings. I'm compelled to get a home as close to the school as possible for a multitude of reasons. Saves time, gas, mileage on the minivan, lowers the time I'm away from desk during my work day, etc., not to mention its part of the settlement primarily so that the kids aren't having to spend long times in the car to/from school twice per day when they're used to just hopping on the bus for 10 minutes at the marital home. If I get a home somewhat nearby, I can just take them to the bus stop as usual, and avoid driving to the school at all.
Problem: There's only (3) 3 Bedroom homes for sale in the same town. 1 is a dump and an obvious money pit. 1 is way out of my price range. So that leaves 1. And yes, I know the home could sell before I have a chance to make an offer, but I want to have this thought through in case I have to pursue another opportunity. So, back to the remaining home. They're asking $295,000. It's really nice, new roof, decent sized, well kept flat back yard, and has a completely unfinished basement that provides me the opportunity to work on over time and add some value, as I finished the basement in the marital home and it added about $60,000 to the appraised value after only spending about $30,000. My dad's a contractor and can help me with all the non-licensed work (electrical, plumbing, etc).
I used a mortgage calculator and put in all the values (property tax, HOA fees, home insurance, etc) so I could get a feel for what the mortgage would look like. If I only put 20% down ($59,000), my payment would be approx $2,024. If I put an extra $32,000 down, for a total of $91,000 down, my payment would be approx $1,813, or $211 less per month. 90K or so is about the most I want to put down because I want to set aside some of the settlement money to pay off my credit cards and re-seed my savings that were decimated by legal fees.
The issue is my monthly income is fixed, so while it's obviously better in the long run to put more down on the house now and get less exposure to these high interest rates, if I were to instead pay off my vehicle, which is at 3.8%, and leave my home's down payment at 20%, my monthly spend would be $522 less. This $522 difference could determine whether or not I can fit the monthly mortgage into my budget. Then hopefully a year or two down the line, I can refinance at a lower rate and claw back some savings there.
$91,000 Down $1,813 Mortgage + $733 Car Payment = $2,546 = 47% of gross income $59,000 Down = $2,024 Mortgage + $0 Car Payment = $2,024 = 37% of gross income
*Most lenders want at most 36% percent debt/gross income ratio. So the only way to get close to that is to pay off my car.
Again, in order to get 50/50 custody of my kids, I have to buy a home in the immediate area of the marital home, so my options are limited, and unless a better deal hits the market, I'm going to have to shuffle things around to be able to afford it on a month by month basis. Until I buy a home, I'm looking at every other weekend with my kids, and I can't get back that missed time for any price.
Thoughts? I'm inclined to pay off my credit cards and vehicle, and get out from all debt except for the mortgage. And then refinance when the time is right. It seems the only way I can fit a mortgage into my monthly budget.

As an investor, I take my investing seriously - as I am sure all of you do!! I have read, fully, the potential rule change(s) pertaining to SR-OCC-2024-001 - and I have questions, as follows:
(1) If a clearing member defaults on their financial obligations, the OCC, as the central counterparty, has an obligation to the counterparties on the other side of , say, a short sale, correct ??
\* The answer should be "YES". *\**
(2) The OCC has a fiduciary duty to ensure that counterparties of short sales, such as the shareholders - ex: (GME), are protected in the event of defaults by clearing members involved in such short selling transactions. This is an essential responsibility for upholding the integrity and stability of the market!! As such, why would the OCC be creating a rule to bail out the 'short selling' Wall Street firms - essentially prolonging the inevitable if they lack the financial capacity to cover their bets??
\* That is what this rule, in essence, does - and that's just wrong!! The answer is: "It shouldn't". *\**
(3) If the SR-OCC-2024-001 rule is to ascertain parameters in the OCC's proprietary system for calculating margin threshold requirements during high volatility - why am I not provided with the specific details on how these parameters will be calculated ??

(4) I have no idea how these margin threshold requirements are calculated, and everything in the proposal's supporting evidence as related to this is REDACTED. Why?? \* The answer is: They shouldn't be redacted at all *\**
(5) If I understand this rule correctly, and I think I do, if multiple clearing members default, the OCC would also incur losses from having to cover those defaults, yes?? Therefore, it would indeed be in the OCC's best interest to prevent clearing members from defaulting - because the OCC would lose money also, yes??

(6) If I understand this next item correctly, the OCC wants to give significant authority to OCC's Financial Risk Management (FRM) section for approving idiosyncratic control settings. In my opinion, this introduces a significant risk to the OCC and it poses a conflict as they are required to safeguard both OCC's interests and at-risk Clearing Members. Being that this proposed rule favours Clearing Members at the expense of market fairness and investor protection, this issue has been flagged to the SEC for commentary and review.
In my opinion, it appears the OCC is fearful of clearing member default toppling the market. Not wanting to use their own funds to bail out bad CLEARING MEMBER bets, the OCC is proposing a rule to adjust margin thresholds during volatile market periods. The SEC had the good sense to REJECT this proposal - and now, regular OTC investors have the opportunity to support this decision and get it removed completely!!
After giving this rule change a thorough review, I am recommending that the SEC fully remove and eliminate this OCC rule completely. It is a rule fraught with peril and has enough conflict and risk to warrant its dismissal and removal!!

(Might be the wrong tag, not sure what I need) I feel like I've lost my purpose, I know for certain I've lost drive. This year has been hell in the short 5 months. Like the 1st days of January I woke up feeling heavy and depressed and the next day my USMC recruiter called me saying I've been DQ'd by BU-MED and I'll have to do more physical therapy, so I did that and in the end it was of no use, got full denial in March so my childhood dream of being a Marine was crushed. I got DQ'd for joint stiffness in my ankles, there was no issues with them other than the movement of bringing my toes towards my shin (easy way to describe the movement). Now to backtrack to Valentine's Day. Already didn't like the holiday for whatever reason. But later that night after a kickboxing class, I go to my room to eat and get on a phone call with my (at the time) boyfriend and then I hear my grandma come into the house crying so I go check on her and she told me that my mom died, just died. She's been fighting cancer since the pandemic, last time I saw was before things got bad and she looked terrible, and I think the most heartbreaking thing was that her hair was just barely there, my biggest memory of my mom was her hair, in my family we all have this thick beautiful hair. And I haven't seen her since then. So I've been dealing with her losing her and the fact my stepfather (hate him and his family) won't give my mom a burial or even a memorial. Nothing, he gave her nothing. When he'd start fights and shit with her that would stop me from going to visit her, and I barely got to visit her while I could. But anyway, last thing, my boyfriend broke up with me last month in April, like completely out of nowhere, we were having no problems, no fights, the previous days we were talking about me coming over to his (like we did ever weekend) and fooling around. But the previous day I was having a breakdown, I don't know what triggered it but at some point during work I just snapped, started feeling crying and running out. And then he texted me at some point the next saying "we need to talk" and I started having a panic while I'm just waiting for him to pick me so we could go to his house, he was my safe space, the only place I could feel vulnerable. He said that he wanted to grow as a person, it didn't sound like that, like there was another reason. And then at some point he said he didn't want to be out of my life and wanted to continue being friends, and I just said "no". The reason I said "no" is because I knew I couldn't love him as a friend. When I meet him in German class at the beginning of this school year, something inside said "he's the one" and I feel head over heels, and I'm from the southern Oklahoma, my last guess is that I would ever fall for a man, but I did. And I loved no matter his imperfections. And the few things we didn't agree on my love still never faltered. And I used to have this dream since I was like 13 or 14 and it was always the same, 2 kids running around, dog with them, golden sunset, sitting on a porch talking with somebody I obviously loved, every crush, and the one girlfriend I had before my ex I never heard their voice for saw their face the person's face and voice was like blurry, if that makes sense. But after I got with my ex and had the dream, I saw his face and heard his voice, and after that I was deadset on marrying him, I didn't tell him about that dream after it happened because that morning I was getting bitched at by my grandparents about something (by the way, they weren't happy about my gay relationship, their old southern Christians). I told him about that dream after we broke up, I sent him a Google doc because he flaked on us meeting up and talking and just told him a lot. I had booked New Brezza ZXI MT smart hybrid on 21st April in Bangalore. I let the Sales Associate know if car is available immediately we would purchase it in full cash. SA said the car not available now in stock.
On 30th April, SA called and informed a vehicle of desired colour is available in stock but in a different location (Dobbaspet - 60 km from this showroom) and they would bring the car to their showroom. He and his manager really wanted to get the invoicing done as it was month end - SA was frank about it and also shared the VIN after I promised that once I get the VIN, I will transfer 1 lakh for invoicing. I mainly wanted to know manufacturing month and year usign the VIN.
I sent out an email saying we would reject the vehicle if dissatisfied for any reason during PDI. SA told they woud get the vehcile after I pay 70% ex-showroom price. I did and they got the vehicle to the showroom. Yesterday I got services of a PDI engineer and on checking the OBD2 screening results, the engineer said the vehicle has ran for 126 km but the Odo shows only 57 km. The same has come in the PDI report as 'Odometer tampering'. No other defects/flaws seen.
The engineer mentioned first 100 km vehicle must be driven in lower speeds or else the engine may get damaged. We all know how showroom guys drive around in new cars intended for their customers.
My main concern is the intention of tampering and hiding KMs driven.
Please advice,
if it's relatively safe to go with this vehicle or I should ask for a new one.
if the odo tampering/disconnection cause issues in future during resale, service etc.
if the OBD2 screening cause issues in warranty

My health is declining from the stress related to my husband’s ex wife and neither of us feel like we can escape it.
For context, my husband and I have been married for about 6 months, together for 2.5 years. This is a second marriage for both of us. We don’t have kids of our own (and won’t, he’s been snipped). He came along with two kiddos, 14 and 10. The 14 year old is facing a lot of teenage related challenges, but we get along well. The 10 year old and I are pretty close.
His ex, we’ll call her Jess, at first refused to meet me. I was fine with this, and understood how difficult it must be to meet her ex husbands new (at the time) girlfriend. Eventually we did meet, and I did my best to encourage a positive, constructive relationship with each other so we could create a solid co parenting style between the 3 of us.
This seemed to be going well, until we got engaged and then married. Jess sent a massive message to my husband and me, essentially saying he didn’t care about the children and accused him of planning some of our wedding details just to hurt her.
We were very deliberate with the way we went about telling the kids, they’d been asking us for months about when we were going to get married and, from our perspective, were very excited about the announcement and about being involved.
Things with Jess continued to unravel, and family mediations, threats of family courts, nasty comments, slamming doors, ring-bell recordings of her screaming “f-off” at my husband.
The threats all come from wanting to change the parenting agreement. Not to take the kids away from us - in her words she “can’t deal with them full time.”But she’s doing everything she can to make sure the kids are in our care just long enough to mean she still gets full child support. We have agreed to the timing, although we’d like more, but the kids now feel guilty that by being with us for more time “mom gets less money”.
She is self employed part time, and works from her garage 4 days a week - not during school hours so she is available for them… when they’re in school. The kids are alone in the house while she has clients on weeknights and weekends in the garage. What I’m saying is: she chooses her availability and does not want to return to full time work.
My husband is not equipped to do the verbal back and forth or negotiate strategically. I’ve got a legal background in mediation and now work in strategic comms, so it’s kind of right up my alley. But it’s different when it’s personal like this, and it’s been going on for MONTHS. They can’t seem to agree on the details of days, times, who drops off where, etc. basically any time they hear what each other wants, they dig their heals in and try to be difficult with each other.
I have been back seat parenting the kids, and back seat negotiating through my husband about this parenting negotiation, while managing myself, my husband, the kids, the sale of two properties, attempting to purchase our own home, and doing the role of 3 people after team mates at work were made redundant.
I’ve been put on a month of antibiotics for a recurring infection, medical leave for a week, along with sleeping tablets. The break from has been great, but it’s only stopped the work stress, nothing else, and it’s the ex wife drama that is stressing me the most.
How do I get her out of my life and still support my husband?

This story is about my brothers wife, Caitlin (also fake name, 19f). My husband and I recently had twins (b/g) and sadly our son didn’t make it. It’s been a long couple of months with our grief and having my first baby, after a rough pregnancy.
My brother is in the army, and while he’s doing some training, his wife is staying with us, because they’re moving soon after he’s finished. It was fine at first, until Caitlin started making little digs about me. That I haven’t lost the baby weight, if I don’t want to stay my size I shouldn’t eat xyz, etc and when my stepkids are here, she once remarked that “it was good my husband managed to get at least one son.” She’s careful to only say these things where I can hear them and no one else. It’s gotten to be a lot to take. I’ve spent a lot of time crying over the things she’s said to/ about me on top of still grieving my son. I haven’t told anybody what she’s been doing just because I don’t have it in me to have one more thing for people to feel bad for me about. Until this past Friday.
Friday afternoon, Allie dropped the kids off for the weekend, and while I was standing there talking to her, I guess I looked really upset (Caitlin had just made another crappy comment). And I ended up telling her everything. I told her the last thing Caitlin had said about my weight before Allie and the kids got there. Unfortunately (for Caitlin at least) Allie has a complete lack of what you’d call “give a fuck”. Caitlin walks into the room and I’m teary eyed and Caitlin makes a comment about me being whiny. Allie immediately fires back (with a tone I’ve NEVER heard her use) with “you know being a pick me bitch doesn’t burn calories. If it did maybe you wouldn’t look like a beluga whale.”
At first I was stunned into silence but before I even realized it I had started laughing. Caitlin immediately starts crying and leaves the room. Allie goes home, and I get a call from my brother telling me I’m terrible because apparently Caitlin had an ED in her younger teenage years and I was insensitive to that by laughing at allie’s mean comment. While I tried to explain to him that she’s been making nonstop comments towards me he didn’t care and kept trying to call me out on it. He even went so far as to tell our parents, who aren’t really taking sides but they do think we should both apologize to each other.
So, AITA for laughing at what Allie said?

I’ve been doing a lot of reading on borderline personality disorder because I realized I didn’t know much about it. Everything about my ex [28M] is pretty textbook. Especially with proclivity to addiction and substance abuse. He had mentioned “not liking psychiatrists or medication” and after witnessing his behavior I put two and two together.
I tried so hard to be present for him. To be a sounding board. To comfort him. There were times he’d say “you’re the only person who could deal with me.” We broke up right before his 3 month deployment. I still care. It hurts.
I got pretty attached. My ex was worshipping the ground I walked on one day, I’m not sure you’re the one for me the next day. I hate the army and my job one day, I’m staying in to do special forces another day. Making completely random purchases off of Amazon another day. Being so irritable it takes over his whole day another day. “I hate myself I want to kill myself”. Maniacally planning things on a piece of paper another day. Having grandiose business ideas not rooted in reality of how he’ll make an impact on the world another day. Throwing my fork across a restaurant another day because he didn’t like my taking 1/2inch bacon off his plate because it triggered childhood trauma of his dad stealing food off his plate and getting in fights…, coming back to my room after 15 beers begging me to accept him as he was another day, making me hide his vape from him because he couldn’t control his addiction impulses and needing a “dopamine hit” another day, “everything feels so natural and organic with you I can be myself with you one day”, “I want to feel like I’m on a rocket ship in my relationship and be in puppy love and on top of the world and you’re not giving me that” another day, “you’re my favorite person” the next day, not being able to get off the couch and function during vacation from work another day, planning my future with him 10 years down the road on printed out calendar paper another day. “I don’t want to eat spaghetti for dinner and talk about my day in the future that sounds awful.” “I care about you but I’m emotionally detached and not attracted to you as I should be and I can’t explain why but I can’t get passed this feeling. I don’t know why my brain is working this way” “I feel like I’m inherently a bad person and so is my dad and his dad etc and that’s why I don’t want to have kids.” he’d complain about constant anxiety to the point I said do you think you should be medicated? He responded with do you think I should be? He sees a civilian therapist because he doesn’t want to lose his military job or have anything on record. The therapist he sees over zoom is just for intermittent moments of feeling bad and she tells him she notices he falls into the depression when he’s off from work. He became obsessed with his new commander who had to take leave due to suicidal ideation. He’s obsessed with the concept of mental health itself but has no insight into his own behavior.
And in between all of this there enjoyable seemingly stable moments where I felt I could exhale. And not long after these moments, he’d flip again.
I do logically understand that this behavior gets worse with time and could’ve ended up destroying my life, especially when unregulated and without proper help or treatment.
Part of what hurts is I feel like I couldn’t even be seen or participate in a relationship based off what was going on in his head. And it hurts me that I could not get through to him. That he could not understand logic or see that he was unwell and I couldn’t intervene. And to be there for him through these episodes and ultimately being discarded without any reflection of my value because he wants the next “dopamine hit”.

I need help, quickly. For context, my ex husband had an affair when I was pregnant with our first child so I left.
We own a home that is currently being sold, the deposit for which I solely contributed. My mother died and left money for myself and sisters. My inheritance and some of my sisters was used to buy the house. We, at the time, verbally agreed to set up a standing order to pay back my sister. The affair happened a year after the house and she never received anything so upon house sale she will get her money back.
So, I left the home and he lived there for over a year. 7 months of that, I had to pay half the mortgage as well as rent for the new home me and my son lived in. He only paid cms.
I got the majority of furniture from the home, as over the course of the relationship, I solely bought it. (He was very financially coercive).
He has a very good pension, I do not. We were together 8 years, married 3.
Whilst on maternity leave, he allowed and expected me to use credit cards to pay my half of bills and didn't provide anything until our child was 6 months old and I got cms in place. We lived in the same home, he ate 3 full meals while i had pancakes for most of mine as it was all I could afford, my breastmilk depleated and I had to return to work full time when my son was 6 weeks old. So I got considerable debt.
He is expecting 50/50 of the equity from the house sale. There is approx 20k equity. Myself and sister account for about 14k minimum that we put into the deposit. With paying my sister back, I would be essentially left with nothing if the 50/50 equity went ahead. He would be able to buy a new home whereas me and my child would have to continue to rent.

Today's Takeaway is by Jared Blikre, Markets Reporter ‌ Meme stocks survived another volatility-fueled session Tuesday. ‌ Taking a page from the 2021 playbook, GameStop and AMC Entertainment led the charge. ‌ Both meme stalwarts notched gains over 74% Monday and had further doubled their share prices on the open Tuesday — only to sell off most of the day into the close. Nevertheless, after dozens of volatility halts GameStop closed the day up 62% while AMC jumped by 30%.‌ Amid some gentle coaxing by Keith Gill (aka Roaring Kitty), a slew of names familiar to Reddit boards followed — companies like Koss, Tupperware, Virgin Galactic, Hertz, and BlackBerry. ‌ But while the explosion in volatility rightfully invites comparisons to the well-known 2021 saga that played out on Reddit and across US stock exchanges, 2024 is already proving to be quite different. ‌ This year, Wall Street is driving the bus. ‌
Vanda Research crunched the numbers and reported in a note to clients that GameStop and AMC have only seen a fraction of the inflows experienced in early 2021. Flows into these names at the peak of the early 2021 frenzy were over four times Monday's volume. ‌ "Do we think more retail traders can jump in on the trend in the coming days? Yes. Do we think this is a repeat of 2021? No, and the chances we reach that stage are low," said Vanda. ‌ Without glancing at a single stock chart, it's easy to point out that 2021 was likely a historical aberration fueled by bored recipients of pandemic stimulus checks. ‌ Wall Street was caught flat-footed. I'm not sure if this is the right subreddit, plus this is like my first time posting that actually requires writing, so forgive me if I mess up in anyway shape or form. I feel like I've lost my purpose, I know for certain I've lost drive. This year has been hell in the short 5 months. Like the 1st days of January I woke up feeling heavy and depressed and the next day my USMC recruiter called me saying I've been DQ'd by BU-MED and I'll have to do more physical therapy, so I did that and in the end it was of no use, got full denial in March so my childhood dream of being a Marine was crushed. I got DQ'd for joint stiffness in my ankles, there was no issues with them other than the movement of bringing my toes towards my shin (easy way to describe the movement). Now to backtrack to Valentine's Day. Already didn't like the holiday for whatever reason. But later that night after a kickboxing class, I go to my room to eat and get on a phone call with my (at the time) boyfriend and then I hear my grandma come into the house crying so I go check on her and she told me that my mom died, just died. She's been fighting cancer since the pandemic, last time I saw was before things got bad and she looked terrible, and I think the most heartbreaking thing was that her hair was just barely there, my biggest memory of my mom was her hair, in my family we all have this thick beautiful hair. And I haven't seen her since then. So I've been dealing with her losing her and the fact my stepfather (hate him and his family) won't give my mom a burial or even a memorial. Nothing, he gave her nothing. When he'd start fights and shit with her that would stop me from going to visit her, and I barely got to visit her while I could. But anyway, last thing, my boyfriend broke up with me last month in April, like completely out of nowhere, we were having no problems, no fights, the previous days we were talking about me coming over to his (like we did ever weekend) and fooling around. But the previous day I was having a breakdown, I don't know what triggered it but at some point during work I just snapped, started feeling crying and running out. And then he texted me at some point the next saying "we need to talk" and I started having a panic while I'm just waiting for him to pick me so we could go to his house, he was my safe space, the only place I could feel vulnerable. He said that he wanted to grow as a person, it didn't sound like that, like there was another reason. And then at some point he said he didn't want to be out of my life and wanted to continue being friends, and I just said "no". The reason I said "no" is because I knew I couldn't love him as a friend. When I meet him in German class at the beginning of this school year, something inside said "he's the one" and I feel head over heels, and I'm from the southern Oklahoma, my last guess is that I would ever fall for a man, but I did. And I loved no matter his imperfections. And the few things we didn't agree on my love still never faltered. And I used to have this dream since I was like 13 or 14 and it was always the same, 2 kids running around, dog with them, golden sunset, sitting on a porch talking with somebody I obviously loved, every crush, and the one girlfriend I had before my ex I never heard their voice for saw their face the person's face and voice was like blurry, if that makes sense. But after I got with my ex and had the dream, I saw his face and heard his voice, and after that I was deadset on marrying him, I didn't tell him about that dream after it happened because that morning I was getting bitched at by my grandparents about something (by the way, they weren't happy about my gay relationship, their old southern Christians). I told him about that dream after we broke up, I sent him a Google doc because he flaked on us meeting up and talking and just told him a lot. And I used to have this thing with that could help like see tomorrow, sense it, whatever, it doesn't make sense but now it's gone. He was the first good thing to happen to me in a long time and the last thing I had that gave me any purpose. The only thing I "have" now is an army contract for the infantry and I never wanted to join the Army. And I promised myself a long time ago that I'd never live for myself, only for somebody else. But now, I'm just this mess that's struggling with no purpose, no drive, nothing, I have no friends, no good family, no lover. I have nothing. My only hope is that I can talk to him and maybe get back together. But I doubt that'll happen, he just ignores me now.

I am grateful to have had at least a couple of internships before i graduated but it seems like they mean nothing.

I've been flipping for the last 40 days. In that time I've made $6300 in sales and amassed $7500 in inventory. I started with just $1,000 so I'm feeling pretty good, but I've already noticed a disturbing trend for large items being returned.
Sony 300 disc changer. Paid $20 > Tested the mechanism with several discs > Sold $200 > Makes a terrible screeching sound upon arrival.
Sharp VHS Player Paid $3 > Tested it with old VHS tapes > Sold $55 > Shuts down when pressing play
Smith & Corona Type Writer Paid $2 > Typed a string of text with every character > Sold $95 > Doesn't type at all
All of these items were tested working before shipping. I wrapped them in bubble wrap horizontally 5 times, and then vertically 5 times, so the device is always wrapped 10 times in bubble wrap before shipping. However each of these items has arrived defective. In each case, I've asked for a video of the issue, and the buyer sends a video of the device failing to work in some way.
Am I doing something wrong? Is FedEx bad to use for these types of products? Should I stop bothering with larger electronics like this? Does anyone else have this problem?
