If I move without telling my father, can he say I stole the car he bought me?
My dad bought me a car last summer after I wrecked. I’m 33. I live with him now and I’ve fantasized about having a life of my own somewhere far away. I have no friends here, no job, no school currently. I feel stuck and I’ve fantasized about just “escaping” for years. I don’t have contact with my mom (child abuse) and my dad is suffocating me. He constantly talking about my weight (always has, even when normal weight) and I bulimia. Other things too. I’m done. I’m done with it all. I want to move across the country in my car with my dog. I’m currently applying for an apartment.
My question is the car he gifted me is in his name. If I drive several states away after leaving a note, can he call the cops to track me down because I took the car? I’ll be several states away and won’t have a way to get it back to him. If the cops come and get it and return it to him (which I really don’t care) will I get charged with theft?

I’ve been restoring on and off (mostly off) since 2021. If I had been consistent, I might be finished by now.
I decided to get serious and I’m excited to say since May 1st I have logged a little over 100 hours of restoring! I’ve been alternating between the Foreskinned Air and a Stealth Retainer with weights. I really like inflation and I think it will help keep me on track. I think I’m currently around a 2.5 - 3 on the CI.

Ive had f4 for about 4 days not and racked up a couple of podiums and 1 race win (YAY) and ive been trying to grind to get to f3/sfl but it seems like every race i have, someone hits me from behind and i get 4 contact points, loss of control and track limits, already destroying my SR for that race. It happens 9/10 races for me and its infuriating. I legitimately cannot get to 4.0SR because i just get spun out from behind or someone who im about to overtake just slams into me on purpose. Do you guys have any tips or do I just need to deal with it.

2024.05.15 13:05 Tracydeanne The last 25 pounds

Anyone else getting close to their goal or has moved on to maintenance? I have lost 95 pounds, with the last 25 pounds to go to get to my goal weight.
My weight loss has slowed quite considerably even though I’m doing basically the same things, so I have told myself that it’s going to take at least six months or more for these last 25 to come off, so be patient.
Some of the things I plan to do during this period:
-take a day or two each week where I eat at maintenance. If the weight still comes off (however slowly) I’ll keep it up. I think I need this to eventually be at maintenance all the time and understand how not to gain. Also, I do find I’m hungrier than in the past months of my journey, I think because my activity is at peak these days.
-here and there I won’t officially track a day of calories. I plan to look at it next day and see if I was able to still eat reasonably the day before without tracking. I have a lot of fear about what might happen when I stop officially paying attention to calories, because not paying attention is when I always gained back in the past. I’m hoping a slow gradual move away from logging every day will help.
-continue on with all the things I’ve learned in the last year, watering, keep up with my activity, manage portion sizes, eat whole foods most of the time but treat when I want it within my limits.
Does anyone have any other suggestions during the last push of weight loss and then moving into maintenance?

  6. Kylea controls what Joe eats when she is away from home.
  7. Please ignore all comments Kylea makes on the Basham and Lee families' social media accounts about food.
  8. Kylea does not eat clean.
  9. She triggers her followers with calorie-dense items on purpose for monetary gain.
  10. Kylea has disordered eating.

I've casually dabbled over the years with practicing taiji - I learned the sun long form, yang short and long forms, and chen 18. But I've never really stuck with it.
I'm looking at taking it up in a more dedicated way, but I just wanted to ask this most basic question.
Fighting - frankly it's not really a very good martial art. I know there are people who say they can fight with it, and well. But I think they may be slightly delusional. If you want to fight, then take up boxing, and you'll most probably wipe the floor with anyone who exclusively practices taiji after about a year dedicated training.
Health - I see this touted as a benefit a lot, but there are many, many taiji teachers who are grossly overweight. Regardless of what else is going on inside the body, that would strike me as not being very healthy. As I'm middle aged and rocking a dad bod myself, I know this to be true personally. Aside from weight loss concerns, other forms of fitness, such as lifting weights, or cardio, would seem to offer more proven health benefits.
Meditation - taiji would appear to be inferior to most forms of traditional seated meditation as a meditative practice. As a therapeutic movement practice, it may also not be not as effective as qigong, most of which is designed to work on the energy system directly.
So my question is why taiji for you? Is it an end in itself, I.e. it's genuinely pleasant to practice? Or something else?

I started IF on Jan 1st and by Easter had lost 1kg per week but then it levelled off and oscillates around the 92/94 kg weight. The difference is that I am eating a bit more than I did in the first few months but nowhere near the amount I was eating before Jan. I'm doing 18:6 every day and very consistent, but it looks like the majority of my weight loss was due to eating less and not specifically the window of eating. Any thoughts?

2024.05.15 12:51 SixWonders Changing my expectations with keto

In 2018 I lost 26lbs when I started keto, and I was happy with that. I loved the diet, it totally agreed with me, I'm gluten intolerant anyway so wasn't missing bread etc, and it knocked my menopausal heartburn on the head.
I maintained my loss through the lockdowns, but then little bits started to slide. I'd just have 'a few chips (fries)' or 'a tiny portion of ice cream', and it snowballed until I'd put back on the exact weight I'd lost in the first place!
And it's been sooooo difficult to get back on track properly. Even though I know keto suits me. Even though I know how much better I feel when I limit my carbs and just avoid sugar. I've done several months back on it and barely lost more than a couple of pounds. I even did IF for a couple of months (16/8) which I loved as it's so great not to have to even think about breakfast. Still didn't lose any weight though, and for some reason IF suddenly became really difficult again after being easy for that time, and I've just not been able to restart that.
In April I started to get chest pains that felt like I had a chest infection. After a week or more of this (but no cough) I went to my GP, who said my lungs were perfectly clear. Then she asked me if I get indigestion at all (I'm 59, of course I do!). She asked if I'd been eating any differently. I'd been on holiday for a week where I'd not worried at all about carbs, and had spent probably a couple of months 'in training' before hand.
She said to try doubling up my GERD meds for a week or so to see if that helped, and lo! It cured the chest pain in a few days. Who'da thought it?!
Anyway, all this is my very long winded way of saying that I have now accepted that even if I'm not going to lose the weight again, I'm not going to slack and slide, because I don't want to feel like cr@p! I'll be fat either way round. I'd rather be fat and not in pain, and have plenty of energy, than fat, tired and suffering!
Just to add that I'm not the sort of person who's good at, or enjoys, detailed tracking, precise macros, or very limited food choices. I want to feel free and relaxed around food, and just enjoy what I eat.

Hi all. I've been trying to lose weight for a period of time now, I was doing pretty good with going to the gym and eating healthy but lately I've been slacking a bit so I've been seeing the pounds go back up. I find that I honestly don't have a big appetite and I could easily eat a maximum of 1200 calories a day. My fiance and I get five meals a week from HelloFresh, so I have been going to the gym every morning, coming home and drinking a protein shake and then having the hello fresh meal for dinner. I was just wondering if anyone has had experience with calories deficit dieting? Thank you.

Diagnosed with graves March 27 but waiting to see an endocrinologist so dealing with the fatigue, heart fluttering and nausea, muscle aches ,weight loss of 40 lbs no appetite also think I’m going through menopause and also waiting for a lip biopsy from an ENT for Sjögren’s Syndrome . I feel like absolute sh*t . I was told nothing about it by my GP other then my thyroid testing showed I have Graves & he will schedule me an appointment with the Endocrinologist but I’m in Canada and the waitlist to see a specialist is crazy long . I’m lost I don’t know how to fight this the only info I have is from reading from here or googling or FB support Groups . Usually everyone is already on medication etc It’s starting to affect my job I care for my mother in law (84)who has Alzheimer’s and when a flare up or whatever is happening at the time it takes me out the fatigue I can sleep for 2 days . I’m weak from not eating ( can’t force myself I’ve tried ) . And what really makes me angry is my 85 year old mother passed April and I was at her service and had to leave because I felt the flare up coming on ( it was already starting) I started to fall asleep while I was driving my daughter home .Ive never ever in my life done that ! I’m lost I don’t know what to do while I wait to see specialists ☹️ Sorry if I’m all over the place with this I haven’t had a single person to talk to about it My hubby ( bf of 11 years ) doesn’t seem to want to learn more about it which I mention to him so he can get some kinda of understanding. Sick Tired Frustrated

I would like to TRY name brand Contrave instead of Naltrexone and Bupropion. I just want to see if maybe name brand might work better for me. What is a typical dose? I am on 300mg bupropion and 50 mg naltrexone daily. I only see my doctor once per year, she is fairly knowledgeable in weight loss/binge eating drugs. My PA is who I see multiple times per year and isn’t as knowledgeable. I want to know what is typical and what dosing has worked for people.

2024.05.15 12:40 NatalieGliter Been at a plateau for a month any tips on losing water weight to kickstart second weight loss?

I’m a 18 yo female and am 5’0. Started at 170lbs mid February and almost exactly a month ago in April I peaked at 150lbs.
I started intermittent fasting with an 8 hour eating window where I eat in the afternoon then have dinner. I don’t restrict what I eat when it comes to junk and candy, but I do keep in mind that it’s optimal for me to consume 2 whole meals that will maintain my hunger meter when I fast taking in 1300 calories a day. For exercise I’ve been going on daily walks including the weekend where I get 10k steps.
My goal is to lose 20 more lbs since my bmi for my height is astronomical and you can see it in the excess amounts of fat I carry in my upper body ie arms, bra bulge, back, the works. When I first started my weight was melting off of me but now it’s clinging on for dear life, anyone who knows anything about anatomy/dieting/whatever do you think I’ll be able to lose those last 20lbs within the next 3 months or have I reached my limit with the amount of weight I can lose for my body?
All advice is welcome should I up my exercise by adding weights so I burn more calories, increase my fasting time, anything.

So, I have. Spreadsheet a colleague created to keep track of vehicle tax and tests.
When I input the tax date in column C, column D would then give me a years countdown and change from green, yellow and red as it the countdown got lower. I have ran out of cells to continue this in.
Any ideas how to create this further would be brilliant.

I’d love to hear your experiences with microdosing to balance your appetite control with the demands of exercise!
What is microdosing? Splitting up your weekly dose into multiple smaller dose injections throughout the week.
Is microdosing safe? My guess is yes, but it’s just a guess. Here’s why: The “one shot fits all” weekly approach is likely driven by compliance and convenience. It’s effective, but it may not be “best”. The original liraglutide GLP-1 was indeed a daily injection.
Why do it? When we think of using insulin for diabetics to control blood sugar, the amount of insulin required each day depends not just on how many carbs consumed but also how much glucose was disposed of by skeletal muscle movement. It makes sense for us that factors in our life such as workout load can affect the bioavailability of Zepbound, and other factors such as what we are eating may affect the amount of zepbound we want in our system. Microdosing, in theory, may give us more control over a nuanced system. Perhaps on a rest week you take a little more zepbound to tip the balance toward weight loss, perhaps on a training week you take multiple tiny doses of zepbound to create more “golden workouts” where zepbound is low in your system. Perhaps on a vacation week you scale back to enjoy a night at the bar. Perhaps on your return you take a smaller dose to ease back in.
How is it going? I just recently started my first vial of compound at 7.5mg. Week one I took the full amount in one shot as normal. Result: typical high hr in workouts, good appetite suppression, but it markedly wore off by the end of the week. Last day I felt high hunger to the point that I ate pretzels and peanut butter standing in the kitchen. Yikes, haven’t been like that in a long time.
Week 2 I decided to take 4mg twice (Sat and Tues) for 8mg total. It seems like it takes over 24hrs for a new dose to “kick in” when it ebbs to the point of being really hungry. I was able to run on Saturday before the shot, and by Tuesday am I was back to feeling hungry—and wondered if microdosing wasn’t a good fit because the suppression is kind of low. However, my Oura ring sleep stats were fantastic for Monday night—low hr like I remember from before zepbound. Although I felt more appetite, I also felt more fit and able. I really enjoyed getting in another “low dose” zepbound workout on Tuesday morning ahead of my second microdose of the week. This was a 4 mile easy run and in mile one I did a benchmark and was able to hit a faster pace than I’ve seen since last summer. This is in stark contrast to last week on full dose 7.5mg where I was so zapped on my easy bike commute that I had to stop and walk the bike up the big hill. I injected my second 4mg right after the run and some protein/veg. Within a few hours I felt good appetite suppression.
Woke up this morning and the bf percentage on the scale jumped down quite a bit. I think this is because I’ve been able to do more run due to less fatigue.
Overall: I’m really excited to continue to try and find the balance between accepting an uptick of hunger in exchange for being able to keep up with endurance sports for this season.
