At first I looked at the Reddit posts from the account but there was nothing of substance there. Thinking the name is suppose to be an acronym I tired typing it into Twitch and YouTube. Then I went to Google. When I searched up AIMA an investing firm for "the alternative investment industry" called "The Alternative Investment Management Association". I might have shoved too many crayons in my ears but "Alternative investment industry" sounds a lot like "meme stocks" to me. So I didn't find a streamer but I did find something stock related.
They have a section called DDQ (Due Diligence Questionaire). Which I can't view because I am not a member but it caught my attention. Their podcast (Long-Short) is viewable if you don't have an account and one of their recent podcast segments is titled "What’s it like trying to take down a multi-billion-dollar financial giant?". They also have a number of videos you can watch without an account.
Just off the bat I don't think this is directly GME related. Roaring Kitty has always been about educating yourself and making your own choices when investing. I think the idea is that anyone could be Roaring Kitty you just need to see and understand what you are looking at. Educating ourselves about the alternative investment industry sounds like a good idea to me. What do you guys make of this?

I'm upgrading from a 2017 iPad so I haven't familiarized myself with the new features of newer iPads.
I'm looking to avoid carrying a laptop if I can so I can travel lighter and just backup the photos from my mirrorless camera to an external SSD. Of course the laptop is the easiest and efficient way, but I cannot get a new MacBook just yet. Most of the search results I see are at least a few years old so I thought maybe iOS had new features since.
Just as important is whether the iPad is making a copy of the files on the internal storage before transferring it to the external SSD (ex. 128GB model iPad Pro can't transfer 256GB SD card content to external SSD in one go). When I have a new song to learn to play (for a cover band) I like to listen to it enough so that I can completely "hear it in my mind" without actually listening to a replay on some device. This serves as a good yardstick for me to assess my actual playing against what I "know" it right. I've tried "just playing along" but it is easy to fool yourself into thinking "if it sounds good when I play along with the track" means "its right". In particular, it is easy to lose subtle timing and dynamics changes using this approach.
I'm a guitar player and when doing covers of songs with particularly iconic leads, I like to try my best to do an accurate cover (even though I know full well that the original bands live recordings rarely do this).
I know 90% of the audience will never know. Most of what they "hear" in covers is their memory of the original. But it matters to me.
But I've been confronted (blessed?) with an opportunity to replace a musician in an existing band and have been given a full set list.
My usual approach for learning one song at a time would take a long time. I'm thinking of just "playing along with the tracks" to be able to get "good enough" (a concept that kills me really) with the hopes of getting my approach closer to the original over time. That means an inevitable sloppiness at the beginning in exchange for just getting through. Or I could follow my usual approach and tell them I need more time. I'm torn.
I would be interested in opinions and approaches others have taken when faced with a similar situation.
Concrete example .... Foreigner's "Hot Blooded". The original studio recording of the lead on this is insane. Just throw your muscle memory out. All of my YouTube searches of live versions of Foreigner doing this tune don't even come close to replicating the original studio version. Yet I still feel that is my goal. My job. Another good example of something I find really easy to "approximate" but really hard to "nail" is Doucette's "Momma Let Him Play" song.
I'm getting close to and accurate cover, and I know I can do it. But I worry about the time I spend on nailing the nuances of this vs tacking the rest of the songs. At the end of the day, I'm pretty sure the audience (and even the other band members) might not notice. But I will. And it bugs me.

I'm a 16-year-old girl who lives with her grandparents( Mid-sixties). All of my contacts have to be approved by them. They can read my text messages. On their phone and if I delete a text message it instantly gets sent to them. My location has to be on And after a certain amount of time, they get a notification saying I'm not wear am supposed to be. All apps have to be approved of. (The only reason I got readit was because I just told my grandmother that I was gonna be looking at memes). I cannot make phone call without them getting approved. All social media have to be privated. I only have Snapchat and YouTube. I cannot Google anything. I also can't delete any pictures. And any pictures I delete instantly goes to them. If I wanna go out They have to be with me. If I wanna go to a friend's house. They have my location and they must meet their parents at least twice. Those are the times I'm really allowed to go out. 1 time I was at friends house and We walked to the gas station by her house. When I came home to my grandparents. My grandmother search me. Hi everyone, I have someone building me a custom embedded system using an SMD PCB and various features. One of which is the capability of handling updates over-the-air. This is his first time developing a solution for OTA updating, but he has the OTA portion under control for the hardware and custom app, though he advised that I will need to hire someone to do some webpage work for me in order to allow the embedded system to talk to the website and check for updates.
The embedded system uses a custom Android app, and we plan to leverage a smart phone and/or computer to push the firmware updates via Bluetooth. So the website needs some integration for allowing us to log in, upload firmware files, and to allow the app to compare the embedded system's current firmware version to the newest version on the website to check for differences.
I personally do have an IT background to include web development from many years back, and have an understanding about microprocessors... but I tried searching Google and YouTube for what would be needed to make this happen but I simply cannot find any sort of guide that covers exactly what I'm needing to accomplish.
Does anyone either have any guidance as to what needs to be done, or is anyone reading this versed in this sort of requirement and is interested in payment (can pay via virtually whatever common payment platform) in exchange for working with myself and my embedded systems developer to bring this to fruition?? I’m an 18 year old girl and I got diagnosed by my old therapist at 15 (I know they’re not supposed to do that because every doctor I’ve tried to talk to since has doubted the validity of the diagnoses, but to me, my being bipolar is a fact). At the time I was so happy. I felt like I finally had the answer I’d been searching for. And since then I constantly look back on all the ways I showed symptoms even as a super young kid. It’s crazy how prevalent it’s always been.
Neither of my parents have it or have chosen to really educate themselves so for the most part, they hurt me more than they support me because they’re not able to understand it. It hurts more than I can even explain, because even though my mom and I are still very close, I felt like my parents were some of my best friends growing up and I know things will never be that way again. I used to be so forgiving when they would mess up, but I know in my heart that I’ll never be able to forgive them for neglecting my mental health for so long and making me go through all of this alone. I always feel so upset that I had to be born if they weren’t prepared to give me the support I need.
I first started having real depressive episodes at 13 and at 14, begging my mom to help get me on some type of meds. This went on until I was 16 almost 17 and she got on board. Before, she thought a therapist was the only thing appropriate. The best way to explain the consequence of that is just to say the entirety of my teenage years has been overtaken by bipolar. I was fighting for my life in horrific episodes constantly, just holding onto any fleeting happiness I found and the hope that when me and her were supposed to move to Australia in August 2022 things might be completely different.
Truthfully, living here instead has brought me more happiness than I’d had in my life since I was a kid. I have the most amazing relationship with the best girlfriend in the world, and more friends (who are all so wonderful) than I’ve ever had. I’ve been depressed again since school started in January (it’s my biggest trigger because most of my childhood trauma came from the school I went to). I smoked myself into an addiction when I moved here because I was even more suicidal then and not able to get meds fast enough. I genuinely feel like the killing of some of my brain cells made it quieter up there, my depression more functional and my anxiety lessen, and it’s sad because my mental health situation and life is pretty much better in every way than before I moved, but still so awful at the same time. Bipolar makes me feel so horribly fucking alone and like no one will ever understand, despite me being the least alone I’ve ever been. I’m slightly scared of meds now and would prefer holistic treatments but thinking maybe I need both to actually ever have a better and easier life, especially now that I’m an ‘adult’ and will graduate high school in a few months.

In March of 2016, Chazz Lindsey (or as his mother calls him in her Facebook posts telling people not to judge him “Chazzle Dazzle”), Brock Finkbiner, and Josiah Wallace, who all went to high school in Marshall, Illinois, tortured and murdered multiple cats, while one of their girlfriends filmed it as they laughed. (You can search up this case.) This included setting them on fire, dismembering them, and all sorts of heinous acts on these defenseless, confused, and scared little cats.
Chazz Lindsey faced 2 weeks of jail time, the boys who were still in high school served ZERO jail time. they didn’t even get suspended from their basketball team. The whole community rallied in defense of them and their character. And our principal (of a surrounding town) even told us to not bully them in the rowdy section when we played them at home so as to not hurt their feelings. Because it was inappropriate.
I feel like everyone’s forgotten about this and they just got to graduate as the studs of their school and nobody even cared. Now they’re all off happily continuing their lives, going to college and getting married as if this was just some fun drunken memory from high school. I don’t want them to ever forget what they did to these cats, who could’ve gotten taken into a loving home..or maybe were already a part of someone’s home…just imagine if it were your cat. I want this to follow them for the rest of their life. I want everyone to know what they did.

I’ve had this monitor for over a year. It has always had this blurring effect around YouTube videos with a sort of wave effect originating from the video while it’s playing. I’ve been playing Hades 2 and have noticed it on the start screen. I’ve researched optimal settings for this monitor and I’ve tried to adjust it as such but no change. Is there something I’m missing or does this just have to do with the quality of the monitor itself? This is not a new issue just one I’ve never been able to figure out because I’m not sure what to actually call this effect to search it on Google. The black spot is my phone shadow. Thank you.

I would like to start swing trading and have been watching videos (You tube), reading articles, and posts from forums for help.
I am currently using Finviz and have several presets for my screens. These presets are recommendations from other traders and You tube. I currently have presets for my screener for - Growth, Mid Growth, Short, Breakthru, and more... I have created a document with all my settings for the screener. As I continue to find new and useful presets or settings I add them to the document.
From what I have gathered, using a screener helps you identify stocks in accordance with your "search criteria" and/or "settings" that you can then further analyze to potentially trade.
This is usually done by running your screener (with settings specific to what you are looking for) and then doing technical analysis on the stock (charting, valuation, fundamentals, news, etc.)
Obviously, doing other research whether it be through reading forums, watching the news, studying business and trends and more needs to be involved in this.
Questions -
1) What am I looking for after running the screener?
Currently, when I look at each stock individually, I am looking for trends in the way the stock moves, in addition to resistance etc.
2) How can I screen for stocks that have GAPS (stock that have tended to fluctuate frequently)?
These are the stocks I can swing trade. I know there is a setting on the Finviz screener, but I have yet to use it in any of my presets.
3) How can I run the screener to show me how a stock performs each day during the week?
To basically pull charting and open and close data for a specific day (so I can have all open and close and charting data for every day of the week to look for trends etc.)
This may not be a splendid example (stock wise) but "HOLO" today - was at 2.70 and its previous close was 3.23.
Which tells you that yesterday it was at 3.23 at market close.
Today, it opened at "x" during pre-market and traded during the day.
This example is more like day trading, but these stocks could be held longer than a few days and sell for a profit even if it is a small one.
Today I submitted my first orders for "extended hours" (in the pre-market) - they did NOT execute but if they did I would have gotten into some positions at a very low cost, I could hold until it increases and sell it - even at the end of the day (for a short profit).
As for now I do not know any other way to get an order to execute other than submitting after regular hours on Schwab (my brokerage). They do advise there is no guarantee it will execute. But if that is the case how do all "these people" get in during the pre-market??

Not sure what the tax implications are or requirements are for day trading, but if I was to buy (again, sorry for using this stock as an example) 1000 shares of HOLO at 2.70 it would cost me $2700, if it closed at 3.23 (and I sold it) I would end up with $3200 - a profit of $500.
Now, obviously not all stocks perform like this and there are many reasons why this stock performs the way it does.

The biggest thing I am looking for are GAPS in stocks from premarket to close of day or just gaps in general that the screener can find.

I'm a 16-year-old girl who lives with her grandparents( Mid-sixties). All of my contacts have to be approved by them. They can read my text messages. On their phone and if I delete a text message it instantly gets sent to them. My location has to be on And after a certain amount of time, they get a notification saying I'm not wear am supposed to be. All apps have to be approved of. (The only reason I got readit was because I just told my grandmother that I was gonna be looking at memes). I cannot make phone call without them getting approved. All social media have to be privated. I only have Snapchat and YouTube. I cannot Google anything. I also can't delete any pictures. And any pictures I delete instantly goes to them. If I wanna go out They have to be with me. If I wanna go to a friend's house. They have my location and they must meet their parents at least twice. Those are the times I'm really allowed to go out. 1 time I was at friends house and We walked to the gas station by her house. When I came home to my grandparents. My grandmother search me. She didn't find anything but I still got my ass beat with a belt. I can't choose what I wear. Every single piece of clothing was approved by them before I even wore it. I slap if I look at them the wrong way.

Hello everyone! My girlfriend and I recently made a 4x5 camera (3D printed) and today we finally gave it a try. We took a picture of a tree as the first one, using Fomapan 100 to test the camera. However as you can see, that thing doesn’t look much like a tree. There are many variables involved in this that could have been responsible:
1) The camera may have light leaks: Unlikely because I checked the bellows with the film holder in and it showed no leaks. 2) The film holder may not be perfectly opaque: The film holder is also 3D printed (Vega 4x5 on Etsy), so it may not be as good at shielding light. However I checked this with my phone flash and it showed no visible leaks. Also, the holder has great reviews and people have been using it without issues. 3) The chemicals I used were bad: I used D76 developer by Adox, 1 bag dissolved in 1 liter of water, according to instructions. After, a stop bath and then Adox Adofix P II as a fixer. The chemicals were fresh and just mixed and at room temperature. 4) I messed up the development: Could be possible, considering it is the first time, but I have experience with C-41 which is more complex, and I didn’t do any glamorous mistake with the times (at least according to videos I saw). 6 minutes develop, quick water rinse, stop bath 1 minute and 4 minutes fixer. 5) The developing tank I used is not good: To spare time and money, I 3D printed a single-sheet developing tank from Printables (see attached pictures). The design is not great because the film tends to stick to the wall of the tube it is in. Maybe this prevented the chemicals from properly acting on the film, ruining my film when I turned on the lights eventually.
What do you think? I know it’s hard to identify the problematic variable, but do you have any idea?
