I need advice, though this is partially to vent, I want to get my thoughts and feelings out there, so that maybe something someone says can help me. I (F18) live in my childhood home with my father (M55), mother (F50), sibling (NB14), sister (F21) and brother in law (M23). I get along great with everyone, except for my father. I've known my father, mother, and sister as long as I can remember, my sibling is 3 years younger than me, and we've known my brother in law for about 5 years.
In childhood, my father was never really present in our lives. He worked a normal job with normal hours, but when he got home all he did was watch TV. I remember this very distinctly as we were kicked off the TV at 5, when he came home. Even when he was off of the TV, he was distant and never really involved with us. Even when he did take one or more of us out, it was just to something we liked for a small amount of time, then we had to go to a hardware store or something with him for hours. All of us quickly learned to not accept his offers of going to McDonald's for a quick meal. He'd occasionally trick us, saying it was a reward for something, then drag us somewhere anyway.
His distant behavior became worse when his dad died, and his mother came to live with us. To make a long and horrible story short, she put me and my sibling through hell, bullying us about weight, appearance, behavior and anything you could ever think one would nitpick children for. This was when I was 13-14, and it left a lot of issues for myself and my sibling to deal with. At first he denied anything was happening, but then it got so bad I slipped to my therapist that I wanted to end my life, and he took me seriously after that. My father's mother was kicked out, but I was in rough shape.
Ever since then he has treated me like a fragile flower, always trying to say things like "You can always talk to your mom or I", but he knew this wasn't the case. I could never bring up anything with him as he would just tell me to go to mom, and never really supported me emotionally. He has depression and anxiety just like myself and my sibling, but unlike us he doesn't take his meds or go to therapy; he basically just doesn't do anything to improve himself.
But it really got bad when my sister graduated from high school and moved out. She had been with her boyfriend for about 3 years when they got engaged, and were married. This sent my father on a downward spiral. According to my mother, he had a bad drinking problem in the past, and had calmed down for a while, but this is when it started up again. My sister was always his obvious favorite; she looked like him, was athletic, smart, extroverted, and she had none of the mental issues he did. So her "leaving" him was very hard. He just couldn't deal with her growing up. I think it was partially because he never spent time with us, since after that he kept asking me to spend time with him, but at that point I had checked out of the relationship as much as he had.
He started spending more time in front of the TV. It really didn't help that he had an injury at work and had surgery on both of his shoulders, and he was being bullied when he did work. At this time, my mother had gotten a job to help pay for everything, and I was mostly home with my father, and he decided this meant I would do everything-all of the chores, cleaning up after him, cooking... everything my mom would normally do. They operated on his non-dominant shoulder first, so he could've helped, but no, he's just a poor helpless baby. I was 16 at the time, and also trying to learn to drive. His "driving lessons" consisted of him scolding me occasionally if I did something wrong, but not helping me learn at all.
I wanted to find a job, but between school and taking care of the house I was unable to. I got an allowance, but it was rather pitiful, and didn't even partially compensate me for the hours of endless work. Then there was an incident. My mom had told me to watch out for him when he'd been drinking, and I can easily tell when he was drinking. This was a day where I could tell he was drunk, but he came in asking for my help with something. He said that our truck was having issues and he wanted to look at the engine, so he asked me to help him wipe it off. I agreed. I went out with him, and my "helping" him was him watching while I wiped off the hood. Then he started to get angry.
I was focusing on the hood since he said he needed to lift it to look at the engine, but he told me to focus on the windshield. I was obiviously confused, but he grabbed another wiper and started to violently break apart the snow and wiping it off. I was still confused and kept wiping off the hood, but that made him more angry. He was moving in a way I knew would hurt him, but he was now raising his voice with me, angry and showing it. I started to dissociate, as that is my coping strategy, so I don't remember the exchange very well. All I know was there was a lot of swearing and yelling and calling me useless. Eventually he threw down his scraper and stormed off to the house.
I remember I was cold, sad, and I wanted to cry and run off into the woods never to be seen again. I wanted to scream, sob, punch a wall; but I did none of that. All I did was stand there for a while, then remember it was garbage day and take the garbage cans down. When I got inside, he was in his chair, watching TV, whistling to a song. I went to my room and cried. I hated myself, him, and the world so much, and that day I broke a streak of almost a year of self harming. I wanted to do more, but my dog helped me not to.
I wish I had let him go. I wish I had let him drive. At that point I still had some slight love for him, and that made me want to prevent his death. I honestly regret that now. He often got mad and snapped at mom, but it was never directed at me before. I knew that mom, with all the stress she was going through with her job and being both the house- maintainer and breadwinner wouldn't be able to handle that he had snapped at me. So I downplayed it, just telling her what happened and she said he probably either wanted fast food or alcohol, both of which he is addicted to. I still haven't gotten an apology.
I'm going to skip over some time here, as honestly his behavior is too frequent and habitual to mention every frustrating thing, so I will fast forward to the worst of it. A few months before my sister's wedding, it got really bad. He had yelled at my mom a few times, and every time we just took the dogs into our rooms, and we had gotten door knobs with locks specifically for this sort of thing. It happened often enough that all it took was a text to the other, and my sibling and I knew what to do. The worst happened on March 23rd, 2023. I don't know how it started; we never knew, but it didn't matter. The worst part is, my sibling was stuck in the bathroom when it started, right next to where my dad was screaming at my mom. They can't use that bathroom now when he's home because of this.
All I knew was I got the text and got our 2 dogs in my room. All I could hear (I was on the 2nd floor and this happened on the 1st) was how my mom was a bad person, getting the kids to hate him, she was a female dog, etc. Again it's a little fuzzy, but it got worse when he got to the 2nd floor. When you get to the top of the stairs, to the right there is their bedroom, and down a short hallway there is a bathroom and 2 bedrooms, one being my sister's old room. He went in to their room, and all I can remeber is him screaming over and over, "And you can just go F YOURSELF", all while slamming their bedroom door.
He did this for a while. All I know is that I, my mom, and my sibling all recorded it, but I am not willing to listen through that recording to figure out how long he was yelling at the top of the stairs, but the recording is 10 minutes and 47 seconds. Eventually his slamming of the door got too forceful, he broke the whole door frame, and the door ended up wedged in the staircase. He knocked himself out in this process somehow, and was out for a while. When his friend came (mom had called him), he even tried to fight him, but he was put into bed. He says he doesn't remember this whole night.
There was an intervention after, with mom and his friend, and he agreed to stop, or at least slow down. He didn't. There were some more screaming fits, and the last major one was in the beginning of December. But now, instead of screaming, he'll just get mad and snap at mom for nothing. I hate seeing her cry, and this affected my sibling and I as well. My sibling hates him, and is just waiting for him to die. They felt conflicted about this at first, but after father corrected himself after using their correct pronouns and made a comment around them about how anyone who's trans is just mentally ill, they lost the tiny sliver of affection they had for him. I have done my best to be a good older sister, assuring them it's normal, and helping them come to terms with their feelings. Now they just say we really are just waiting for him to die, and they feel nothing towards this idea.
Father has gone to therapy once, after a screaming fit where I wrote down how much him doing this made me want to die, but he says he doesn't want to go back. He continues to drink, and to not take his meds. My reason for this post was yesterday. Mother's Day.
Despite both mom and I working later than him, he still does minimal house work. If he does anything, it is to empty the dishwasher into the dish drainer, then bug mom for praise. Mom, sibling and I do almost all of the housework. I thought maybe he'd pitch in on mother's day, but no. I told mom she was not allowed to do any housework, and I did all of the laundry, dishes, cleaning, etc. The only thing I couldn't do was cook. But then, as I'm cleaning off the countertop and the table, father walks in and asks mom, "So what are you planning on doing?"
I wanted to punch him. He had been drinking, too. He'd been at least slightly drunk since noon. But HOW DARE HE. I think that was when I lost all hope for him. Then mom said, "I was just gonna leave it to you", and he had the audacity to look surprised, and even a little mad. He then walked away, I think to get stuff, but I don't care. I looked at mom, and she had the same baffled, amazed, and angry look I assume was on my face. But she looked a little sad, too. He couldn't do even this one thing on his own, on mother's day.
I had been angry with him for a long time, but at that it just grew into this huge raging fire. I hate him. With every bit of me. His disrespect and unwillingness to fix himself made me want to scream at him, give him a taste of what he gave us. But I couldn't. For the rest of the evening, mom couldn't just sit there; he needed to know the temperature and time things needed to cook, and she was just so frustrated.
Everything's at a boiling point. I want to tell him off, tell him how I feel, how much he's hurt everyone, and just how much I hate him. But I know I can't. If I do, he'll take it out on mom. Mom's too stressed already, as her job is hard and she's saving to separate if needed. She won't divorce him, since he could take the house, though they are both on the title, and she doesn't want to risk it. He's unhealthy as it is, my sibling is right; we really are just waiting for his liver to give out from all of the alcohol. But still, I am having a hard time living in the same house.
Sorry for the length, I get long winded when emotional. I'm just ignoring him for now, but I feel like my emotions could explode any day. Please give any advice you have. Thank you all.
TL;DR!: My father who is abusive has made me reach my limit, but I can't say anything. If I do, he'll yell at my mom, and I don't want that. I can't move out and she doesn't want to risk a divorce, in fear of losing everything, what do I do?

I honestly believe part of the reason Clinton lost in 2016 was because shows were too nice to her. She was waltzing toward a coronation. She'd come out to some girl power song playing and get fluff questions. That did not help her.
I voted for her in 2016.
And yet frequently when I've seen her speak since then I feel like she has had contempt for people like me. She's blamed everyone under the sun for her loss, including the "Bernie Bros," of which I guess I am one since I voted for Bernie in the 2016 primary before then voting for her in the general.
Now she's out attacking people protesting war.
It feels like she wants power of attorney over everyone 18-40 because they must have a mental illness if they don't like war and hardship and thinks anyone who isn't lockstep with her is feeble-minded and suggestible to corrupting influences.
She's the definition of condescending, and Sunny called her out. Finally.
I never thought I'd see it from this show in particular because they seem to have a very cozy relationship with Hillary and Chelsey Clinton.
Trump calling out that type of stuff helped him. I'm not supporting Trump in saying that. I just think everyone sees through the sort of gross love affair between establishment politicians and the media. Another example is the White House Correspondents Dinner. I did not like Trump, but I actually liked that he skipped it. They shouldn't be so cozy and yukking it up together. Decorum is over-rated. Politicians should have their feet held to the fire and be responsive to citizens not to the media industry and not the media industry to the politicians (which is a lot of what Whoopi does—just exhorting people to get in line politically). Trump is what happens when the sane side doesn't get its house in order and lets arrogance, elitism, corporatism, etc., run amok. And you can't just yell at people harder to get them to vote your way. Democracy has to deliver on its promises.
Back to my original point: Someone like Sunny calling out Hillary Clinton actually makes it easier for me to vote for Democrats. I've had to do it holding my nose, but honestly recently with the upcoming election, I've not sure if I've had the capacity to on moral grounds. And it's refreshing to hear someone say, no you're not crazy, HRC was being condescending. It's not crazy to protest war that has gone beyond defense and is now gratuitous. I have a basket of other issues that bother me, but that was the one being referenced today.
I think if they had challenged her that way in 2016 she would have been a stronger candidate. I remember toward the end of the 2016 campaign she was on stage with Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Katy Perry. And it was like a party. Like senior year of high school, hanging out, waiting for graduation. It was unserious. And she's been hectoring everyone since about what they did wrong and continue to do wrong in her eyes. You can't schoolmarm your way to victory, especially when your own results have been less than stellar! I mean lecturing about foreign policy when she voted for the war on Iraq, when she helped with the uprising in Libya that displaced millions of people, the quagmire in Syria, and on and on. She may have a very good grasp of history (what she accused the students of lacking)—and in fact I think she does when I've heard her speak—but it hasn't really led to wise decisions.
Sorry I'm so long-winded. Good for Sunny. And I hope they don't back down and hold everyone's feet to the fire both in talking about them and to them when they have them on the air. It can't just be a lovefest for one side and a trashing of the other. It's corrosive. I believe it paradoxically hurts the former (and those who could otherwise benefit from the former) and emboldens the latter.

Biden has an in my opinion bizarre fixation with getting money to Ukraine. It takes gall to start the State of the Union with the state of Ukraine!
If they want issues that people would care about, they have them, but refuse to engage in them so they can't come out and say Republicans are holding us back.
Take ACP for example, which is something I care about. ACP is for low income people and pays for their broadband access up to $30 a month. It's being eliminated next month.
Has Biden ever heard of ACP? Does he know what it is? I'm honestly not sure. It would be a guess.
But the Biden administration has requested Congress to renew ACP. Mike Johnson—the Republican speaker—is refusing to allow a vote on the bill that would extend ACP.
That's an issue that will NEVER be on The View and you will probably never hear Biden talk about.
Biden would never talk about an issue like ACP (or a basket of other issues I have) like he talks with passion about Ukraine.
As long as Biden keeps jonesing for money for Ukraine he's losing.
As long as The View remains unaware people like me rely on ACP to get Internet and that Republicans are blocking it and instead talk about Trump's affair, Biden is losing.
This is just on example of an issue that is real to me and millions of other Americans who use ACP, but there are so many others.
That would be a real fight that would make poor to working class families perk up.

When Jesus entered the justice system of men, He did so, knowing it would cost His life on earth. This is the good logic that will make us fit for eternity. It is God's prayer - what He asks of us.

The rough outline: You get +2/+2/+2 from Ocean City perks and Charlestown State Pen perks, +1/+1/+1 from any number of hat and pants combos, +1/+1/+1 from the Monster Club sash, +1/+1/+1 from a Noble Elixir from Ye Olde Chemicker, +1/+1/+1 from the devil's food cake (throw a hot link down the H***hole), +1/+1/+1 from your choice of liquor and your bonus from the electrified orb, +1/+1/+1 from your Pep Talk perk and choice of cat, +1 to Moxie from a new set of teeth, +1 to Muscle from Chiropractic, +1 to mysticality from the statue of you, +1/+1/+1 from losing and getting Angry, Contemplative, and Aloof effects.
Beating the Ocean City Boardwalk games requires a minimum of 15/15/15 Mus/Mys/Mox stats. This is missable--it is possible to lock yourself out of being able to achieve such high stats. However, there are multiple ways to get your M-stats this high, meaning even if you miss one route to 15/15/15, another is likely still open. I wanted to make a quick guide about not only how to purely maximize stats, but the different options available to get yourself to 15/15/15.

Always Possible Stat Boosts

On any save file, 13/13/13 should be achievable. Here's how:

• +1/+1/+1 from Basic Humanity
• +4/+4/+4 from Skill Upgrades
• +1 Muscle from "St. Polycarp's Forehead" perk (St. Polycarp's Cathedral quest)
• +1 Mysticality from "Skeptical" perk (pay for a tarot reading three times at Ocean City Boardwalk)
• +1 Moxie from "Expert Sitter" perk (Marvin's quest)

Those, which I assume most folks who made it through chapter 1 know about, bring you to 6/6/6. Potions, alcohol, and food will also easily net you +1, +1, +2 to your choice of stats (you can get higher boosts from food and potions, but they are unique and/or missable), bringing you to around 7/8/7. Then:

• +1/+1/+1 from wearing the completed Monster Club sash accessory (complete all Monster Shack quests). To my knowledge, it is impossible to lock yourself out of this quest.
• +1 Moxie from the "Perfect Teeth" perk (the dentist at the Maize Maze in Gray County)
• +1/+1/+1 from giving prisoners Chiropractor gift certificates (Charlestown State Pen in Government Valley)
• +1 Muscle from the "Well Adjusted" effect using the same gift certificate for yourself

This brings us to 10/10/10. To get to 13/13/13:

• A hat and pants combo can get you +1/+1/+1 any playthrough. The intimidating Stetson from Haim Quarry in The Big Moist with S.I.T. kitchen britches from the S.I.T. gift shop) is the earliest available combo, but you can also combine any puckwudgie hat from Gray County with the corresponding S.I.T. pants from the S.I.T. gift shop). There's also the glorious tiara from the Wreck of the Longerfellow, which is difficult to reach.
• The electrical orb on your bookshelf from Radio Shack in The Big Moist grants +1 to your class' main stat when you touch it.
• The statue of you from Puckwudgie Village and one of the three M-stat cats (not counting the dream cat) can grant you +1 to an additional 2 M-stats
• Finally: Losing battles (NOT surrendering!) will grant you Angry), Contemplative, and Aloof effects for an additional +1/+1/+1.

So, this will get you to +13/+13/+13 fairly hassle free. But that still leaves us 6 points shy of victory. Thankfully, there are myriad ways to reach that final number (and beyond)

Bridging the final +6 gap

All of the following is content you can lock yourself out of, sometimes pretty easily, sometimes pretty early in the game. The good news is, there are so many options, it's likely a path to 15/15/15 still exists on your save file unless you've reached the very late game and aren't lucky.

Dreams

You can get an additional +4 from Dream-related events.

• The Dream Cat from the Prologue grants +1/+1/+1, for an additional +2 M-stats compared with the other M-stat cats. They are very missable, and you can permanently lose their boon if you pet another cat on Chapter 6, as you will not go to sleep again.
• You must complete quests in your first four dreams to get the perk Pep talk, granting +1 to 2 of your 3 M-stats. You choose the M-stats by picking which statue to silence in Yet Another Fitful Dream.

Clothing

It grants +1 Muscle and +1 Moxie, and is the only pair of pants to provide +1 to more than 1 M-stat, for an additional +1 overall. You will only install 5 of the 9 possible stores on Plunkett street during a playthrough, making it easy to miss this shop.

This makes for a maximal +2 from better clothes.

Food

There are a number of food options to grant more than +1 to your M-stats, granting a maximal additional +2 to your M-stats overall.

• Any food starting with H can be thrown in The H***hole in Gray County to make devil's food cake, for +1/+1/+1. Of particular interest are hot links, which can be crafted at arcane ovens from the infinitely abundant phlogistic resin. This is always available in any save file, but easily missed.
• The Dauphin House) in The Big Moist contains a Can of Fruit Cocktail for +1/+1/+1. This item is unique.
• Fruit Advertisements can be gotten from Junk Mail once you've gotten the letter opener on day 6. They give +1/+1/+1 when eaten.
• Fish sandwiches can be bought from Fission Chips or The Underground Restaurant) for +1 to 2 M-stats of your choice (suboptimal, but available starting day 3)
• Finally, picking Botany as a major opens up 2 interesting options for an additional (suboptimal) +1 to your M-stats: You can make a questionable salad at Professor Kalos' Holiday Home which grants +1 to Muscle and Mysticality when eaten, AND you can wander at S.I.T. with Barker to find Odd Fruit for +1 to Muscle and Moxie.

Potions

Potion options are comparatively limited, but can grant an additional +2.

• The Noble Exlixir (+1/+1/+1) will be sold at Ye Olde Chemicker if you install it on Plunkett Street, but ONLY on day 6. You will only install 5 of the 9 possible stores on Plunkett street during a playthrough, making it easy to miss this shop.
• If you take the Chemicals major at S.I.T., you can get Professor Adams as a companion. Talking to him at Ye Olde Chemicker will give you 3 of Professor Adams' special potions for +1/+1/+1. This can only be done once, but can get you +1/+1/+1 potions before day 6.
• Without Ye Olde Chemicker, you can find radium rouge at the Dauphin House in The Big Moist for +1 to Mysticality and Moxie (suboptimal). This item is unique.

Other

There are a couple unique effects that you can use which will last 1 day only

• At The Old Junkyard at Crystaldream lake, there's a tub you can soak in for +1/+1/+1 for the rest of the day. This is a one day only effect; you can only soak once and will not be able to soak any other day. Optimal to soak on day 6.
• Similarly, in Gray County, you can encounter a blob of crude oil surrounded by electrified shale spires. If you choose the option "Harness the Lightning [7 Mysticality] you get +1 Mysticality from the Fossil Fueled effect for the rest of the day. This option can only be chosen once; the event can occur many times, but once you choose to harness lightning, it will never happen again (optimal to do so on day 6).
• Finally, the exploit: You can get +3/+3/+3 if you choose spiders as an elective at S.I.T. I don't recommend it, but it's there.

My motivation behind making this was primarily that the wiki does not do a good job of displaying potion effects in a browsable way, and it wasn't clear to me if it was possible to completely box yourself out of being able to complete the boardwalk games (to my eye it appears possible, but uncommon). Jesus has been given all authority in heaven and on earth. (Matthew 28:18, Daniel 7:27)

They fight for territory in the hearts of men. (Daniel 2:35) Their weapons are lies and warped logic. The battle is to conquer the human soul. (James 1:8, 1 Kings 18:21)
Jesus likened the hearts of mankind to a farmer's field. (Matthew 13:38) The logic we're exposed to has the potential to change us and use us to propagate it. (Mark 4:14, Romans 12:2, Leviticus 18:30) The logic we receive is the seed we're sown with. (Hosea 8:7, 1 John 3:24, Luke 8:15) We discard "propaganda" we don't agree with.
What we propagate, proves who we allowed to sow our hearts. (John 8:42-44, Luke 6:45) Our heavenly Father's logic is the bread-corn, the wheat. (Isaiah 53:10, Hosea 2:23, John 1:12, John 12:24) It benefits life. It's purpose is to sustain life and make it enjoyable. (Isaiah 55:2-3) The enemy's logic is the counterfeit. It looks like wheat at first, but does not pass the test of nourishing others. (Matthew 12:34, Romans 10:2-3, Isaiah 58)
It takes from the common ground and uses the energy it receives to stand tall while it can . It provides nothing of value. (Matthew 13:39, Deuteronomy 32:17)
When a person speaks, it is always to influence the world around them. We are wise to separate from those with bad logic, so that we are not contaminated by it. (Matthew 5:30, Genesis 19:12-13, Isaiah 52:11, 2 Corinthians 6:17)
When the harvest comes, the poisonous weeds are thrown out to keep them from contaminating what is good. (Matthew 13:30, 1 John 3:15-18)
As God's creation, we were made to work together to sustain life. Once sin entered our experience, we became divided. The Bible explains that this division is between the living and the dead. Because God is eternal, He sees death long before we do. His word teaches us to see the spiritual cancer of sin, so we can avoid the death it brings. God made us alive, and He wants us to stay that way. Those who accept our Creator's logic don't unite with this world, they only pass through it. (John 11:26, Hebrews 9:27, Isaiah 57:1, Genesis 5:24) Like harvested grain, our Father saves life-bringers for the age to come. (Luke 17:22-37) When Jesus said, "I am the bread of life," He gave us an example to follow. (John 6:35, John 6:51, Romans 12:1, Psalm 16:7-11, Psalm 17:13-15, Matthew 10:25)
Death is not only a state, it is a system. This system devours itself and anything that gets in its path. Jesus explained how this death-system operates. He said, "Where the corpse, (a body lacking His Spirit) is, there the vultures will be gathered. (Galatians 5:14-15, Proverbs 18:21) A carrion-eater sees something dying and does not help it live. Instead it takes advantage of its neighbor while it can. Those who feed on death are blind to the path of life. (Job 15:14, Matthew 13:15-17, 1Timothy 4:1-2, 2 Corinthians 4:4) Their logic has transformed them and robbed them of truth. (Matthew 13:19, Proverbs 25:26) They thirst for blood like a deer thirsts for water. Their logic is unclean. (Matthew 10:16, Job 39:27-30, Psalm 42:1*)

STORY TIME!!! Lol. I had a baby with my high school sweetheart. I am f30 he is m33. We met when I was 14yo. He was 17yo. I was a Freshman and he was a senior in high school. Anyyyyway… recently… i took my daughter to visit him in AZ at his mothers house. We get there and he’s COVERED in blood. I asked wth happen and he said, “I was trying to take my brother outside cuz he was trying to fight the bartender cuz he was all drunk and they were gunna call the police on him. So once we got outside, he fucking started tripping on me and pulled me to the ground and we started rolling all over the place, fighting with each other. I guess I’m just gunna have to beat his ass to remind him that I’m still his big brother.” Lol! Later that night, his brother comes to his moms house. So I take my 5-year-old daughter to the store until he leaves so that she doesn’t have to see her dad and uncle fighting each other. 🙄 anyway, her dad texts me… “he left.” And we come back. We walk in and his mom is washing dishes…angrily… lol. He tries to tell her to just drop it and then all hell breaks loose… “NO! Berlynn (my daughter) needs to see her Uncle!!! And blah blah blah….” I looked at her and said, “If he starts ACTING like her uncle, she’s MORE than welcome to visit with him.” “No!!! That’s my son!!! Blah blah blah…” so I start packing (as CLEARLY this sleeping arrangement will not be working… meaning we will NOT be staying at his mothers house when she’s acting like a whack a doodle.) so I go out front to smoke a cigarette and I hear arguing in the backyard.. (I found out later on that it was cuz Jared (my daughters dad) was sitting at the outside table smoking his blunt when his mom, Holly comes running up and tried CHOKING him!!! Bahahahaha!!!! Wtf?!?!) then all of a sudden here she comes, “ASHLEYYYYY!!! (Me) WHERE ARE YOU?!?!” (Clearly she’s been drinking…) “I’m right here Holly..” “I TOLD you that I didn’t want drama in my house if you were going to stay here!!!!” Lol. “I LITERALLY left so that Berlynn didn’t HAVE to deal with the drama….” She starts to grab me and I pushed her off of me. Then she starts screaming in my face about how she’s HATED me since I was in high school… lol. That’s when my daughters dad hears what’s going on and comes out front and grabs her off of me and says, “Mom! What are you doing?!?! Stop!” And everyone was SHOCKED. Lol. Cuz he’s NEVER taken MY side over HERS. Like EVER. So she’s like, “OHHHHHH!!!! Your taking HERRRR side?!?! Ok then!!!” Lol. And he’s like, “When you’re wrong, you’re wrong and you’re wrong.” Lol. So THEN she’s like, “FINE! Get the FUCK out of my house!! And take your dumb bitch with you!!!” Lol. I packed everything SOOOO fast!!! Because she was doing this shit in front of my daughter and my daughter was FREAKKING the FUCK out! “Hurry mom! Let’s go!!! Come on Dad! Let’s leave! I want to go home!!!” Then his step dad pulls him into the backyard to have a one on one (definitely NOT the time!) and I’m like PISSED. Thinking, “THANKS A LOT ASSHOLE FOR LEAVING ME WITH CRAZY ASS!!!” Lol. So she just starts going off AGAIN… blah blah blah drunk people talk… then in the middle of telling me how much she HATES me and has hated me since the day she met me, she fucking randomly blurts out, “I go to church every Sunday!” … and I started fucking cracking the fuck up! And that set her off again! Lol. She’s like, “Don’t laugh at ME little girl!!!” I said, “Holly, JUST because you go to church, does NOT give you the right to treat people like shit! What the fuck?!” lol. THEN she puts her hands on me AGAIN, and I fucking step back and Jared walks in FINALLY (after what seemed like FOREVER) and pulls her off of me AGAIN, and then steps in front of me, blocking her from getting to me. Cuz in my head the entire time, I’m thinking, should I beat the shit out of her real quick? Naw, cuz then EVERYONE’S gunna hate me for “beating Holly’s ass when she was drunk in her own fucking house.” Lol! I’d NEVER hear the end of it! But even her own fucking HUSBAND came in and tried to help Jared calm her ass down. He kept saying, “Come on Holly, let’s go to bed. You’re gunna regret this in the morning…” and tried to gently like lead her away into her room and she’s like, “NOOOO!!!! Don’t fucking touch me!!!” And pushed him into the wall! Lol!!!!! Then she just kept trying to get over Jared to get to me and I just kept my head down (trying not to laugh my ass off) and stayed quiet and Jared just kept moving me behind him and blocking her psycho ass from getting to me. Lol. THEN she calls CPS on me, gets my daughter taken away and tells them I’M the “crazy” one and need to be on meds!!! BahahahahhaaA!!!! Oh god the drama!!!

I (24F) have been with my bf (29M) for 2 years. We both met in the military (he is still serving, I’m not) in 2022. Our relationship was amazing from the get go. We adored each other, couldn’t wait to see eachother and did everything to see eachother even though we were based 3+hours apart. 5 months ago, we brought our first house. I think it was quite soon but for our personal relationship, we both couldn’t have been happier and wanted to start a real life together and buying a house was a big step for our relationship!
He put the deposit down because he inherited like £90k, and I had no savings at the time so he insisted on putting 10% down. I still pay the mortgage and the bills, but he always said how we were a team and that the money didn’t mean anything, so he was happy to use it to start our future! Anyway, the moment moved in together EVERYTHING changed.
I’ll mention I do have a dog, she’s mine not ours, and when I decided to leave the service I had about 8 weeks leave to which, he would watch the ring camera in the kitchen and watch to see if I had cleaned whilst I was at home. I told him I would usually do a deep clean once a week and just lightly clean here and there throughout the week but nothing major. But because I was at home on leave he expected me to be out cleaning all the time because I “had nothing better to do”. Tbh I just wanted to enjoy my leave and relax, as I was starting a new job soon and had courses and revision to do.
He moans so much about how I’m not pulling my weight, how he would have to clean constantly because I’m incapable of going so and how cleaning once a week is completely unacceptable. Like he gets angry at me if there’s a speck of dirt or a muddy paw print on the floor. He does suffer with OCD, but I also suffer with ADHD and I don’t notice little things like that, and if I do I forget about it! So to me it isn’t a big deal as it will get cleaned when I do my weekly deep clean. But to him that is completely unacceptable.
We’ve got to the point where we are arguing, constantly, splitting up, constantly, because I can’t deal with his high expectations. He insults me by saying things like “you’re 24 and can’t even look after yourself or the house” and says that he expects more from me and didn’t think I would ever be a dirty person. I’m not, but I don’t get wet over cleaning. He also says how he just wishes I enjoyed cleaning and that I would do it more often, even when he’s not there (he’s away during the week and only home on weekends whereas I live at home). I work more hours in 3 days than he does in a week, yet because I’m now living at home he just expects me to be cleaning all the time. I work night shifts. By the time I come back home I just want to sleep, when I wake up I get ready for work and leave and I do this a week on week off at a time yet he still thinks I don’t do anything and have all the time in the world to clean. I like cleaning, but in my own time and when I want not when he tells me to. And I do clean by the way, but he tells me it’s not good enough as I miss bits here and there and I don’t put enough effort into it.
We both feel like the love has gone. I know he loves me and vice versa, but it’s not the same. I try to cuddle him or give him a kiss and he scrunches his lips so tight like he doesn’t want me anywhere near him, and he’ll half arsed give me a hug but honestly it makes me feel so stupid how he doesn’t want to touch me. I can’t help but think it’s because he thinks so badly of me because I won’t clean as much or as good as he wants me to. I’ve thought about hiring a cleaner twice a week just to see if that will stop the issues, but on the other hand I’ve been looking at houses to rent and ways for me to come off the mortgage as I can’t do this any longer if things don’t change. TLDR; Bf is obsessed with having an immaculately clean house and it’s ruining our relationship.

I was one of those people who spent some years with a person with BPD.
If I could say one thing it would be know what you are dealing with. Know that using your emotional and intellectual logic to explain them does not work. It will only hurt you.
Instead of reading about BPD go read about people who suffered massive brain injury after accidents. The similarities of both are striking. People who suffer brain injury become a shell of who they were. They have issues with emotional deregulation. It was explained by a scientist who actually went through it. He said after his accident if something happened where he felt hurt or physical pain it felt like he was going to die. He couldn’t regulate his emotions to correct it.
People who were very calm sweet people have trouble regulating anger and frustration.
They actually put them through CBT therapy
Imagine a child who experiences brain injury do you expect their development would progress like children who didn’t experience that injury?
If you were with a person who suffered a major brain injury what would your expectations be after speaking to specialist telling you how your partner would change and why.
Would you allow them to control the finances? Would you allow them to make decisions alone that impact on your lives? What would your expectations be of intimacy? How would you deal with their unexpected frustration and anger? How would you deal with their persona changing?
We are trying to fit people with BPD into our logic framework and expecting they are able to and then being hurt and disappointed when it doesn’t happen.
That isn’t making the person with BPD any less accountable for their health and behaviours.
If people with BPD are not prepared to work toward balancing their deficiency in brain development then their lives will remain the same. Depending on severity and life experiences it might not even be possible.
Now step yourself into the picture. Do you think they are truely able to consent to sex. Capable of taking care of themselves without assistance? Is your expectation they won’t be angry and frustrated in a world their logic doesn’t fit and nobody understands their logic or emotions. They are looking for a safe environment to survive in which doesn’t exist. They are surviving in a world with a persona to facilitate that survival.
They can only focus on that one plan that allows them to survive. They are not able in many instances to make solid decisions which benefit their lives. Especially if they are having highly deregulated experiences.
They can’t handle their own emotions let alone your emotions and hurt
By all means vent, cry, grieve, seek support but at point stand ALL the way back and look at it without involving your emotions.
It’s brain development impairment. It isn’t that different from brain injury or other disabilities.
I worked along side people with mental disability and I can even see some similarities to people with Down syndrome. Some of them have no sexual boundaries and are child like. I would have to say to the girls do not go off with boys at lunch time. I caught one of them in a situation. Others just want friends or a partner because they want to be normal. After a while having lunch with them I forgot they even had an issue. My interactions with just became normal. I didn’t view these people any different BUT it was up to me to ensure they did know my boundaries so we were both safe in our interactions. They tend to fall in love with you very quickly. Latch on to you quickly. They were doing a job and I was a supervisor.
This is my opinion and people might disagree but I now feel accountable not to engage with someone with BPD purely based on they are not truely capable of consenting to an adult relationship.
They might get to that place with a lot of work.
Personally I think it best to move out of their way gently with the least amount of drama. Closure is a bridge too far. You have to create your own closure.
Stop trying to align them to your expectations of what is fair. To your logic and your love.
It will be much better when you do.

Well get dunked on because I'm making a rant about Diablo 4. (mods this is meant as a joke, please do not interpret as a violation of the rules for being a response rant or a repeat rant).
Diablo as a series is pretty classically grim dark. Things are basically always exclusively getting worse for everyone all the time and every time something gets better there is some major caveat that makes something else worse. Stuff like being forced to ally ourselves with entities who most definitely do not have our best interests at heart (or quite frequently openly have our best disinterests at heart like making a deal with the literal embodiment of hatred). Diablo 4 asks us to make such choice and presents us with two, let's say not great options.
Lilith a demon who claims to have humanities best interests at heart. She is humanities ancient mother after all. She says this while leaving a trail of destruction in her wake. The main gist of her plan is to absorb the fragmented remains of her father's power. Mephisto one of the prime evils and Lord of Hatred. She claims that with this power she will be strong enough to empower humanity enough that they will be able to stand against the Burning Hells and High Heaven and escape from the Eternal Conflict. Doesn't sound so bad, but I'll reiterate that everyone she interacts and bestows her particular brand of blessing on -- the Wanderer notwithstanding -- goes violently insane.
Inarius an angel who couldn't more clearly not give a single fuck about humanity if he tried. His "plan" is to kill Lilith in hopes that will redeem him enough that his exile will be rescinded and he can go back to High Heaven.
There you have it. Mom and Dad have formed cults and using them to wage proxy wars with one another and their extended families. This of course mirrors the same Eternal Conflict bullshit that has been ruining humanity's collective day since Lilith and Inarius originally got it on and made Sanctuary. Now pick a team.
Except, there is a third option. The immortal factions on opposing sides of the Eternal Conflict see only themselves. Mortals are fundamentally weaker than them and all we're good for are hunting for sport, being pitied for the whole hunted for sport thing, being cleansed as the unholy half-demon abominations we are, and waging proxy wars. They're super wrong though. Humanity collectively is more than capable of competing. Between the scholarship of the Horadrim and occasional very gifted human humanity does a more of the leg work for solving the whole Prime Evil problem than the angels do.
"Gifted human" is also me really understating things. Most Diablo player characters are incredibly strong. Regularly beating champions on both sides of the Eternal Conflict. I say most because the Diablo 3 protagonist, the Nephalem, scales so high that they're kind of a writing problem. "Incredibly strong" doesn't cut it. They beat Diablo after he absorbed the other lords of hell becoming the Prime Evil. Later the Nephalem beats Malthael, the archangel of death who himself absorbed the evils trapped in the Black Soulstone to try and level the playing field. Hell, depending on how canon you consider Adventure Mode in Diablo 3 is the Nephalem (the collective people, not just the player character) are so powerful the best way they could challenge themselves was to create the Nephalem Rifts which are basically pocket dimensions of pure violence because angels and demons just can't keep up. Greater Rifts are basically what would happen if in his boredom Saitama from One Punch Man developed expressly to be able to create things strong enough to give him a real fight.
With this all said if humanity ever buckles down, unites into a cohesive whole and puts all their combined effort into fighting both the Burning Hells and High Heaven they could probably finally end the Eternal Conflict with both sides losing leading to Sanctuary exiting stage left as a grim dark setting.
Demons and Angels both suck for humans (though clearly demons are consistently a lot worse). Humanity's salvation will only come when it is taken by force. It will never be granted to us in a magnanimous act by our immortal ancestors. Fuck Team Lilith. Fuck Team Inarius. Team Humanity? Fuck Yeah!

Jesus likened the hearts of mankind to a farmer's field. (Matthew 13:38) The logic we're exposed to has the potential to change us and use us to propagate it. (Mark 4:14, Romans 12:2, Leviticus 18:30) The logic we receive is the seed we're sown with. (Hosea 8:7, 1 John 3:24, Luke 8:15) We discard "propaganda" we don't agree with.
What we propagate, proves who we allowed to sow our hearts. (John 8:42-44, Luke 6:45) Our heavenly Father's logic is the bread-corn, the wheat. (Isaiah 53:10, Hosea 2:23, John 1:12, John 12:24) It benefits life. It's purpose is to sustain life and make it enjoyable. (Isaiah 55:2-3) The enemy's logic is the counterfeit. It looks like wheat at first, but does not pass the test of nourishing others. (Matthew 12:34, Romans 10:2-3, Isaiah 58)
It takes from the common ground and uses the energy it receives to stand tall while it can . It provides nothing of value. (Matthew 13:39, Deuteronomy 32:17)
When a person speaks, it is always to influence the world around them. We are wise to separate from those with bad logic, so that we are not contaminated by it. (Matthew 5:30, Genesis 19:12-13, Isaiah 52:11, 2 Corinthians 6:17)
When the harvest comes, the poisonous weeds are thrown out to keep them from contaminating what is good. (Matthew 13:30, 1 John 3:15-18)
As God's creation, we were made to work together to sustain life. Once sin entered our experience, we became divided. The Bible explains that this division is between the living and the dead. Because God is eternal, He sees death long before we do. His word teaches us to see the spiritual cancer of sin, so we can avoid the death it brings. God made us alive, and He wants us to stay that way. Those who accept our Creator's logic don't unite with this world, they only pass through it. (John 11:26, Hebrews 9:27, Isaiah 57:1, Genesis 5:24) Like harvested grain, our Father saves life-bringers for the age to come. (Luke 17:22-37) When Jesus said, "I am the bread of life," He gave us an example to follow. (John 6:35, John 6:51, Romans 12:1, Psalm 16:7-11, Psalm 17:13-15, Matthew 10:25)
Death is not only a state, it is a system. This system devours itself and anything that gets in its path. Jesus explained how this death-system operates. He said, "Where the corpse, (a body lacking His Spirit) is, there the vultures will be gathered. (Galatians 5:14-15, Proverbs 18:21) A carrion-eater sees something dying and does not help it live. Instead it takes advantage of its neighbor while it can. Those who feed on death are blind to the path of life. (Job 15:14, Matthew 13:15-17, 1Timothy 4:1-2, 2 Corinthians 4:4) Their logic has transformed them and robbed them of truth. (Matthew 13:19, Proverbs 25:26) They thirst for blood like a deer thirsts for water. Their logic is unclean. (Matthew 10:16, Job 39:27-30, Psalm 42:1*)
When Jesus entered the justice system of men, He did so, knowing it would cost His life on earth. (1 Corinthians 4:5, Matthew 16:24-26, Isaiah 53) His sacrifice and example show us how to break free from the system of sin and death. (Luke 9:22-27) Jesus lived out the logic of God and proved it was good when He overcame death. (John 11:25, Genesis 5:24, 2 Kings 2:9-11, Mark 16:6)
This is the good logic that will make us fit for eternity. It is God's prayer - what He asks of us.

The Lord our God, the Lord is One. (God is not divided by death-bringing logic, this truth is what makes God eternal Numbers 23:19)

Today, if you hear His voice, follow it into a new life with Him. He loves you. He gave up everything to have you with Him forever. There is no better time to separate from death than right now.

Kyoukai Problem

Kyoukai, who was probably the best character in Kingdom in the first half of the manga, has been incredibly stale and static as a character over the last few hundred chapters. She is essentially the secondary lead in the story with Ei Sei sidelined in the war arcs and Karyo Ten simply not as compelling as the other 3 leads, this is unacceptable. It's like Hara has no idea what to do with her and she is only present in the story to interact with Shin or kill cannon fodder, completely stifling her character's potential as one of the all time great characters. Her motivation to fight and remain alongside the HSU is not narratively compelling enough if she is destined to become a 6GG.

Shin doesn't need to kill Houken

Shin killing Houken has no narrative impact beyond avenging Ouki and Duke Hyou. Shin's goal is to become the greatest general under the heavens and killing Houken, who is not even a general, does not further his character or his goals. Barely anyone mentions the fact that he killed Houken and people's view of Shin, allies and enemies alike, remain unchanged after the deed proving that the moment had no long-lasting narrative impact which is horrible considering that it was supposed to be an extraordinary moment. Besides, Shin had already killed two generals in Chougaryuu and Gakuei and had done enough to earn a promotion.

Kyoukai and Houken Parallels

Kyoukai has far more similarities with Houken than Shin does. Early in the story, they were both incredible mystical fighters who have obtained their strength away from the battlefield. They are the two most powerful characters in terms of martial might while simultaneously lacking weight, which is critical in raising their strength. They were both loners who struggle to connect with others, failing to see the value you can gain from others. However their characters diverge when Kyoukai learns to accept her companionship with Shin and the HSU while Houken continues to fail to see Ouki's point and refusing to develop as a person. Given how much Kingdom values "weight" as a concept, Kyoukai should be rewarded for forging her new path while Houken should be punished for refusing to adapt which is far more thematically satisfying than what we got.

What Should've Happened

By simply reversing the sequence of events, this can easily work. Instead, have Shin engage Houken first and have him fail. He is weaker than Kyoukai and should not be able to slay Houken at this point as his "weight" at this point should not be enough to overcome their difference in martial might. Shin puts up a decent fight, gets injured, and gets saved by Kyoukai before Houken can finish him.
Like what happened, Kyoukai and Houken's fight could have commentary by Riboku and Kaine who were watching. While initially shocked by how Kyoukai is beating Houken, Riboku begins to understand what is going on. He explains to Kaine how he can see that Kyoukai has far more conviction in her eyes than Houken does.
From Houken's perspective, he is just as shocked as he can't believe that someone he basically defeated at Bayou has surpassed him in this moment. However, unlike his fights with Ouki, Houken finally learns his lesson in his final moments. He wasn't able to understand why Ouki beat him, but by witnessing the context surrounding Kyoukai's motivation to protect Shin and the others to defeat him, he finally learns his lesson. Ouki's vengeance doesn't come in the form of Shin but by the fact that in Houken's final moments, he finally understands and acknowledges to himself that Ouki was greater. In this way, Houken's character is fully utilized as a tool to illustrate the concept of "weight" and his character development at his very end makes it far more satisfying.

Consequences

Kyoukai needs to kill Houken far more as her biggest kill was Ryuutu who was only a strategist. However, the victory comes with a cost. By going too far in her priestess dance, Kyoukai can no longer access her priestess dance and is nerfed but is still relatively strong.
The consequences to Kyoukai makes Shin extremely guilty for not being able to take out Houken himself. Despite accomplishing a lot, he is incredibly hard on himself fueling his further hungriness and motivation. He feels that he is holding Kyoukai back by keeping her in the HSU and pushes her away to an extent. This puts a strain in their relationship and can explain why they don't officially get together.

Kyoukai's Character Arc

Kyoukai's started as a young, wandering assassin who only lived to fulfill her quest for revenge. Her journey from transforming into an outcast to finding a new family and home in the HSU gave her a reason to live and wish for a future that she could not have imagined. However, that should not be the limit to her goals.
After getting nerfed, she struggles to find her new identity and live up to her newfound reputation. When she loses her ability as one of the best fighters in the world, she loses her self-confidence and must struggle to find ways to overcome it and continue to grow as a general.
To compensate, she would have to grow as a leader, where she is sorely lacking compared to others like the trio. She tends to formulate plans that put herself in high-risk situations rather than rely on others. To overcome this, I think having Kyoukai serve alongside/under Yotanwa in some of the Zhao campaigns would help her grow as leader.
Yotanwa can finally serve a proper role in the narrative as a direct mentor figure to one of the leads instead of a just a plot device and there no better general to learn from to develop leadership skills than Yotanwa. She can gather insight on how Yotanwa was able to unite a ragtag group of mountain tribes into a formidable army. She can teach how she is able to inspire her allies and get the best out of her troops consistently while revealing how she was able to turn previous enemies into allies. Developing this relationship is critical to successfully transform Kyoukai into a 6GG in the future.
However, that is not even the most profound effect it can have on the story. With Qin's wars of unification fully underway, there will be a lot of warriors and generals who will lack purpose once their leaders and states fall. Do they accept their new realities or fight to the death in alongside their generals and countries (most notably, Riboku's vassals)? Their situations are not too different from the time when Kyoukai planned to kill herself after killing Yuuren and join her sister in the afterlife.
To fulfill Kyoukai's character arc, she must realize this and decide to save these folks. She must decide that although they are officially former enemies, these people deserve to be given a future and a new home just like what Shin and the HSU did for her. That new home would be in the form of Kyoukai's army. A large proportion of Kyoukai's army when she reaches 6GG will be formed from warriors of fallen states as well as marginalized groups. This fits in perfectly with Sei's vision for a unified China and Kyoukai's success in forming such an army would be a political and symbolic victory in itself by reaffirming Sei's dream. The obviously challenge would be can Kyoukai actually convince these folks to fight for her and by extension, Qin, their former enemies and this is where Yotanwa's mentorship would come in handy.

Hi everyone, 23F Indian citizen here
I’ve got a difficult choice to make- for some context I have a Bachelors in Computer Science from a UK university and due to my company’s unwillingness to sponsor my work visa here I’ve decided to pursue a masters.
I’ve gotten offers from both the University of Maryland for Software Engineering and the Eindhoven University of Technology for Data Science and AI.
A few things to consider:
-UMD is ranked 169 in the world while Tu/e is 124. -The post study work visa in NL is 1 year while the OPT + STEM OPT gives me 3 years after my degree in the US. -NL degree has a mandatory thesis while USA one does not. -I am very interested in Data Science and AI but unfortunately got rejected from the US schools I applied to this course for. With Software at UMD, I can always take electives in DS. -I will probably have to learn Dutch during my studies in NL so that I can compete with the local market for jobs. -Fees are wayyyy higher in the US for international students, NL being almost half -NL is much smaller than the US so this may make getting a job a little difficult when compared -I’m not sure about the current demand for Data Scientists and AI specialists in the NL (any inputs would be highly appreciated) -My family resides in the UK so the NL would be a £30 1 hour flight away while the same cannot be said for the US. -I’ve lived in the US before, moved to India when I was 10 but still having trouble deciding which place I prefer -NL is much better w.r.t. ease of life, labour laws, healthcare and just general safety when compared to the US with the gun violence -Salaries are much higher in the US and I’ve been told it’s easier finding a job in Europe after having worked in the US but not the other way around.
Please help if you have any advice!

Hey all. I've been playing Helldivers 2 for about a month now and must say it's fantastic. I'm brand new to the sub and felt like sharing some thoughts so here goes! Feel free to agree or disagree with anything as I'd love to hear what anyone has to say.
Let's get the obvious hot topic out of the way first. The new Warbond! A little lack-luster to be sure but not worthless. I think the new booster is almost a must-have for high diffi bug missions and incendiary impacts are nice! Although I don't understand how they really leave room for the traditional incendiary grenades to have a place in any loadout.
As for the guns the Pummeler is the clear W here. The stunlocking feels fantastic especially when you have friendly divers playing around you. The other new primaries and secondary seem to lack an identity amongst already established choices so hopefully they get some work done to them. (This has actually made me wonder if Palestedt's earlier ask for delaying the warbond may have been a sneaky hope that we would give them some more time to work it out, but I don't know why he wouldn't just ask directly then given the circumstances.)
Lastly on the warbond, armors. And I wanted to talk about them last in order to segue into armor in general as a topic. Not much going on in the warbond. All armors have perk and value combos we already have access to. New looks are nice but what we really want are new traits or trait combos we aren't used to, which brings me to armor in general.
I can respect the idea that armor is less used as an impactful choice and more along the lines of a playstyle selection. I wouldn't say this is a problem and in fact might be exactly what Arrowhead is going for, however it seems like it would be cool to shake some of these perks up a bit. Servo-assist + Arc resist? Explosive resist + Extra stims? Recoil reduce + Reduced Detection? Ok that last one might be too good but you get the idea. The fact that we are already starting to pile armors that have the exact same function makes me wonder if we should just have 1 shown in our list with a pullout menu to select what style we want it in. Maybe something for the future to decrease clutter. Also on the topic of NEW perks why don't we have a fire resist armor yet? I'd almost consider it solely on the issue of I still get insta-melted by flame hulks fairly often. But aside from that it would be a pick that allows more aggression when running flamethrower and might even be worthwhile to run on planets with fire tornadoes.
So let's get to talking weapons a little. Obviously in a PVE setting, fun is paramount. Even if a gun is powerful, if it's a painful slog to use it, it isn't fun. A gun can also feel good, but be functionally useless, and this also isn't fun. Creating a diverse armory of weapons with different functions and making all of them useful and interesting in their own way is hard. You never want content that is so bad that nobody uses it. But creating weapons so powerful that you're sandbagging merely by picking anything else is a problem as well. One of the boons that Helldivers 2 has to it's name is how the factions differ from eachother and how they demand different loadouts. For example, I love where the new Blitzer is. It's a powerful choice for bug squashing, but will leave you wondering how you can possibly close distance against bots. I think this kind of balance is great and not every weapon need be effective in every scenario. But I also love the Sickle, and have no issue taking it to either bugs or bots. It's shortcomings become clear against large targets. With all of this in mind, it makes me more excited for the introduction of a new faction, and how many more options the devs will gain for weapon balances within differing scenarios. What loadouts will Illuminate demand? Will under-used loadouts finally see some use planetside? I'm not going to really talk about the eruptoquasar changes or how I feel about them since I'm sure everyone is exhausted with that. I was never an eruptor fan anyway being a gigachad autocannon enjoyer. My primary is usually a small target clearing tool. I will say on the topic of the Slugger, I really only think they slightly over-nerfed it. I took it out just the other day and was surprised at how useful it still really is which goes to show just how immensely powerful it was pre-nerf. Maybe pulling it up just a little will make it a good choice on the bot front again. Aside from the newer weapons I have to say I actually think Arrowhead has done fairly well here. I see lots of varying weapons on the battlefield as I see divers using all sorts of primaries and supports that they find fun and useful. Also a little side note on the Spear: I think if they manage to make the locking mechanism a bit less wonky, I think it has the potential to be one of the most powerful tertiary picks in the game.
I also wanted to spend a moment with the change to how patrols work. Even as someone who will solo dive from time to time, I actually don't mind it too much because what it means for full 4 person games. With this change, effectively the only things a Helldiver can do wrong, is die or team kill. You are making the mission easier simply by virtue of being on the battlefield. This means that as long as you aren't murdering your fellow divers, (traitors excluded) just staying alive is helpful. Seeing as every diver (not factoring in IRB booster) brings 5 reinforcements to the table, you really aren't dragging down your team at all until you've cost the team MORE than 5 reinforcements. I think this allows for maximum freedom of playstyle around your team and I feel outweighs the downsides of diving without a full squad.
Since I brought up a booster there, let's talk about them a little. They are, well, weird to me. I simply don't see a world where increased reinforcement budget and flexible reinforcement budget are anything but planning for failure, and if you are failing, maybe it's because you brought them. Full ammo (and notably stims) on drop, injury resist, less patrols and bonus stamina are all such good choices it's hard to part with them for anything. The new booster I think is an example of the kind of stuff we need to shake up what's brought on missions more and I hope to see more like it in the future.
Another thing I can think of I'd like to bring up for now is orders. While I think we should always be able to work on whatever front we choose to play on, maybe we should have something available to sweeten the deal a little when doing missions that fall under the major order? Not sure if an exp bonus or anything would do it or be on the table at all but it's a thought. Being someone who enjoys being a part of completing the major orders whenever they are active, this brings me to a minor complaint. If the major order is on the Automaton front, but my PERSONAL order is to get flamethrower kills... I'm not bringing that to fight bots sorry. Maybe this is something that won't or doesn't even need to be changed, but it does bother me a little to be pulled away from the team objective to hold a terminid barbecue on the other side of the galaxy. I suppose there's always just choosing not to do the personal order in a day too. As I said before, this is a very minor gripe.
Stratagems almost all seem good and useable in a variety of situations except I can't for the life of me understand why Eagle Cluster Bomb has more uses than Eagle Strafing Run. Seems like just a straight buff to Strafing Run to have 5 or even 6 uses (adjusted with ship module) per rearm would land it safely in the category of probably still never used unless I could find a way to consistantly kill more than 4-6 light enemies with it.

I'm a 23yo working full-time living at home with my mother (40s) and 3 younger siblings (19, 17, 17 ; all with high-functioning autism) and it feels like everyone in this house is so goddamn incompetent. Because of how everyone else is, it feels like I constantly need to be the one to "swoop in" and "save" them from whatever it is. It's hard to elaborate the extent of just how BURNT OUT I am living here because it's been years of things bothering me, and I'm very close to reaching my breaking point. (TLDR at bottom)
My main stressor is my mother. My mother is financially incompetent and owes me THOUSANDS of dollars to help her pay for rent because she literally does not know how to budget her money properly. It's nearly impossible for her. I've even went out of my way to help her create a budget NUMEROUS times, and she's never stuck to them. She hasn't asked me to help her with rent in months now, but occasionally will ask me to pay for our groceries (cool, alright) or the whole family's phone plans (uh). Both nowhere near as much as rent of course, but it's concerning me that I'm like a backup plan for my mother, because what is she going to do by the time I move out? I'm not helping her with her finances by that point. I've had friends tell me to just say no to giving her money for rent/food/phone, but my thought process is "then where is she going to get the money from? we'll lose our home. we'll starve. we won't have phone service," etc. It feels like I HAVE TO or we'll struggle. And if I can't help, it'll be my fault if things go downhill. -- Side note, she relies on me so much that she expects me to memorize her own log-ins for HER stuff. I come home from work one day and she's asking me how to log into her fucking Verizon account??? How TF would I know your password holy shit bro. Extra side note but my mom has even asked me to get a mortgage under my name and have her pay for it so she doesn't have to pay for expensive rent anymore?????? Like it's hard to really summarize what I've dealt with with her within just the past year man. lol
My 19yo sister is finished school, but unemployed. My mom has asked me many times to help her find an online job, which first of all, why the hell am I finding HER a job, and second of all, how the hell am I suppose to find her an online job that's legit and doesn't require either some form of hybrid work or degrees? She has no skills and no specific career path she's interested in that's guaranteed to make good money. And the reason why my mom is particular on her having specifically an online job is because we don't trust her to take public transit or walking on her own to her job because she doesn't pay attention at all to her surroundings. She doesn't familiarize herself with where she's going when we do go out. Besides all of this, it's stressing me out that it feels like I need to constantly baby her at her age telling her to clean her own room and do her chores, when she literally does NOTHING else in this house but play games and sit on her ass all day on her phone. She does nothing productive but will have the audacity to tell me that a few dishes and a couple large pots and pans is "too much" to do at once when cleaning dishes. Or will tell me to "hold on" while she's in the middle of a game because I'm telling her to do chores she should have already done.
My brothers who are both 17 are still in school but struggle with their classes. I'm not really frustrated with them as I am with my mother and sister, but it's an additional stress seeing them struggle in school and get upset and self-deprecate because they're failing, even though when I have told them many times over the years they can always ask me to help them out. But they never do. They struggle but ask for no help. There's only so many times I can lend a hand, but as the old saying goes "you can lead a horse to water but you can't force them to drink." I don't want to just give up on them and I want to see them succeed but like... what else can I do in this situation? Mom's too busy to help them (or honestly even check up on how they're doing in school lol) and sister's definitely not gonna help because she was in a similar situation when she was in school, even struggling to the point where she'd cry and beg to drop out, which I definitely did not allow and won't for my brothers either.
I want to leave so fucking badly but I don't have enough savings at the moment to move out with a roommate securely. I also worry alot that when I do leave, everything will crumble. My mother's barely taught my siblings how to actually be adults and they're probably just going to all end up being unemployed because my mom has no trust that they can have normal jobs and commute normally by bus/train. I worry for a situation where my mom is gone and my siblings are left scrambling unsure of what to do. I feel like it's partially my fault, but at the same time I recognize that I am not their parent and I deserve to live a life away from my household and worry about myself and my future. It doesn't feel fair man. I've been so patient with everyone. I've offered my siblings money incentives if they do their chores regularly and just do their work in school (I don't even care if they get all C's and D's, a pass is a pass. They did their best.) I've tried helping them out with school, giving them life advice, and just being a figure they can go to if they can't talk to my mom. All I can do for now is just go to work, make my money, come home, and try to avoid the things that will trigger my frustration.
Not sure what advice could be given, but any is appreciated. (and I can try to answer any potential questions)
TLDR: Mom sucks with her money and owes me money because of it. Adult sister can't act like an adult for the life of her. Teen brothers struggle in school but ask for no help from anyone despite offers. I feel like I need to save everyone but it feels like a lot on my shoulders.

High Fat? Low Fat? Minimal Fat? that is the question
My main purpose for Carnivore WOE is for dropping excess poundage for a healthy vibrant weight. Thankfully I do not have any illness to reckon with 🤞. I am puzzled as to how to best 'melt' my excess fat.
My initial 3 month foray into strict carnivore did not bring any loss except for body volume recomposition around my face and upper arms.
My food intake was 0 carbs, organic/grass fed beef meat : 80/20 ground beef, steaks (skirt, tips, and on a splurge rib eye), calf liver, kidneys, pork rinds, bacon, eggs, little chicken (thighs) and occasional tongue and tripes, Generous amount animal fats, butter and cream, cow & goat cheese which I later reduced and then eliminated.
Dropped the occasional cafe/ mocha, kept the black tea with milk, then reduced it by drinking every so often decaffeinated black tea with a 'cloud' of creamy
In searching why so little results, I saw somewhere (wish I could remember where/who) that the leanest the protein the faster the body would turn to its own surplus of fats for energy therefore accelerating journey to being leaner.
So now I am totally confused as it seems to go against the high fat concept that seems prominent in Carnivore literature.
HELP… Does it make sense in strict carnivore? trying hard to not be discouraged.
What are your thoughts? Advice?
I am a 65F and want to release at least 75lbs not just for esthetics but for overall well being and getting back to being as active as I would like with minimal discomfort and/limitations that comes with extra lbs.
Yes I felt the overall benefit (skin, lack of pain in feet/legs, healthier hair). I 100% understand how our human race does not benefit from any of the so called vegetable oils, processed/ packaged/transtormed foods and other products stemming from large manufacturing agro-business along with plants and their defense mechanisms.

The monitors were "leftovers" from a previous J, so I have about a dozen of them.
The "Bracket Pole Mount" & "Laptop drawer" are for the desk I built (will make a separate post later).
The desk is built 'around' the drawers. The drawers are also set high enough that I can open them if I need to be on camera (which is super rare for me).
The dock is great because it doesn't require drivers (but does have specific model requirements) and has a power button on the front. I also use it when I get a crappy dock.
I plug my mouse into the jiggler, and the jiggler & keyboard into the usb hub. The jiggler moves the mouse in a very mechanical way that would be obvious to anyone actually watching it. But it also stops when I touch the mouse and the timeout for it is easily configurable. The hub lets me just turn off the mouse/jiggler & keyboard at the end of the day. The M650L mouse is the large version and it also comes in several colors, which makes it easy for me to see which J I'm working with. The keyboard also let's me set a color (that survives reboots!) that I associate with a particular J.
The headset is an Amazon knock-off, but it's actually pretty good. It has a built in mute button on the boom. I color code this as well. They don't run out of battery if I remember to charge them at the end of the week. I only use the headset for meetings. I use the laptop speakers for notifications.
Finally, The Mute Me Illuminated Physical Mute Button. I love this thing. I set this in front on the monitor stack of each J and I always know when I'm off mute (always be muted). I have color-code cables going to each 'button' (this is a hold over from when I just had one and was swapping it between J's, which didn't last long).
This is an expensive list. Especially when you multiply it by 4. But having a consistent setup for each J is very convenient and it makes it difficult to confuse input devices between J's. Companies frequently send crappy peripherals anyway. The drawers and stands/mounts make for a compact setup. The whole setup is just over 7 feet wide (86 inches).

If the crypto insider has market power (which isn’t the case usually with the ones we track), yes, but it still doesn’t matter. Gains from the crypto insiders we track are made by knowing when to buy and sell tokens based on market conditions, not in a high-frequency manner. You’ll see different tokens skyrocket in value days / weeks / months after an insider purchases them. They will probably come in at a slightly better price and get a slightly better return (or not, since markets are volatile, and we aren’t copied that same minute), but it’s not remotely significant enough to make a large difference, as our backtests show.
Fyi, our backtests are completely accurate to our actual strategies - they aren’t testing the crypto insider’s portfolio, they’re testing what would have happened if we had copied the insider portfolio in the exact same manner as how we will execute it, including all the protections against scam tokens. Hey all, I’ve been having a really hard time with my puppy. She’s a two month old Aussie/healer mix and currently she’s a shark. She has 20+ toys, we walk almost everyday, but as soon as we get home, she bites almost everything, even the floor LOL. I’m quite unsure of what to do, I know she’s probably teething and just has really high energy, but recently she’s been ripping clothes, shoes, and leaving Brussels where she bites. I got her one of those kong toys that are supposedly really helpful and while she’ll play with it for a few minutes, she’ll go back to biting my family and I almost immediately after. I have tried to redirect her attention to the toys or stop giving her attention when she bites, but it doesn’t seem to work. Does anyone know how to stop this? Thank you!
