Instead, its distinction lies in its default settings and behavior. But recently my fiancée told me that when she told her family of the engagement back then, they were much less enthusiastic about it in comparison to my family.
A little bit of context I feel is necessary: I come from a line of work horses, all of my family members value hard work and earning your keep, since we don’t have much wealth in the family to go around. My parents both died before I turned 15, and my grandmother took care of me and my siblings until we turned 18. Despite the lack of familial support, I’ve secured my own home and a solid $60k salary job over these last 8 years. My bills are paid, food in the cabinets, never behind on any payments, living within my means if not below.
Now according to my fiancée, her side of the family is the complete opposite side of the coin: they’re rather successful and have a good amount of money they’re sitting on. Her mother is disabled and is unable to work or do much of anything on her own, so my fiancée’s aunt (the breadwinner of the family, de facto leader at this point) helps financially while my fiancée cleans up after her mother. This has been the case ever since my fiancée and I started dating, but it’s starting to weigh on her and it’s becoming a detriment to both her physical and mental health. Her mother is manipulative and condescending, always believing herself to be correct and never could she be wrong. Her aunt is no better, constantly putting down my fiancée over the smallest of things. But that’s a story for another time, it was necessary for context though, but back to the actual matter at hand.
When my fiancée announced our engagement to her family, she was met with mixed responses. One response has been rubbing me the wrong way; her aunt asked her, “how can he take care of my niece when he has no money?” I may not be the wealthiest man but like I said before, I have my own place with water and power, food in the cabinets, internet, making a $400 a month car payment: I think its safe to say I have my ducks in a row so to speak. But I feel like her family didn’t even give me a chance to prove myself, so I feel that I come up short consistently in their eyes. As a result, I get the feeling they don’t respect me or value me. To solidify this assumption even further, recently my fiancée admitted that during the last 5 years, her family has flat out refused to refer to me as their niece’s fiancé, just as the “boyfriend.” Their defense was “Well what’s really the difference? I don’t see one.” Now i feel blatantly disrespected, I knew that I was walking on egg shells this whole time but turns out they never respected me from the beginning. My fiancée is in tears because she’s at her breaking point with her family, they don’t respect either one of us: my fiancée even asked her therapist if them not referring to me as the fiancé is disrespectful, and the therapist agreed it was! She tells her mother, and her mother claims “the therapist is wrong because everyone that knows me knows I’m NEVER disrespectful, your therapist is wrong.” Is this not manipulation? Hello. I am currently working on implementing logging in functionality using django's built in session authentication system. I have managed to get it set up and working with a view like so: \@action(detail=False, methods=['POST']) def login(self,request): username = request.data['username'] password = request.data['password'] user = authenticate(request,username=username, password=password) if user is not None: login(request,user) sessionid = request.session.session_key return Response({'message': "Logged in!", 'sessionid': sessionid}) else: return Response({'message': "Invalid credentials provided",'username': username, 'password': password}, status=status.HTTP_400_BAD_REQUEST) When calling to this endpoint at 'http://127.0.0.1:8000/uselogin/' with the proper credentials, I get a 200 OK response on both the localhost and postman, with set-cookie headers in the response. On postman any further requests contain the cookie, however on the localhost, it does not. I made sure that the localhost is in CORS' allowed and whitelisted origins, cookie is in the allowed cors headers, CORS_ALLOW_CREDENTIALS is True, localhost is running on https, I have the credentials:include attribute on my requests, the sessionid cookie has samesite none and secure True. All of this and still the same results. I also tried doing it on a different browser than firefox like microsoft edge, still same results. Any advice on how to solve this would be greatly appreciated, feel free to ask any questions if I left out any important details.

A remnant of humanity lives on beneath the protection of an immense dome. Bereft of history and ignorant of anything beyond the dome's confines, they inhabit an encapsulated and automated City. A vast metropolis built atop the mechanisms which ensure their survival.
All is not bliss however. Residents increasingly hear of illegal actions by those whose curiosity draws them to off-limits areas beneath the City. Police lieutenant Lewis Clay has more than lawbreakers to deal with though. His relationship with a longtime girlfriend is on the rocks, and soon falls apart.
Catherine Westall spends most days working at an orphanage, but her ordinary exterior hides a well kept secret. She’s a delver; one of those who flaunt the City’s laws in their expeditions to restricted sublevels.
When Lewis attempts to arrest Catherine for delving crimes, she narrowly escapes, hoping never to encounter him—or get caught—again. Chance spoils that. Meeting once more in social circumstances, both decide perhaps it’s possible to look past those aspects they find distasteful in the other.
Beginning a more involved, and personal, relationship, they grow closer just as conditions in the City grow bleaker. Earthquakes of unknown cause frighten the citizens, just as everything from plumbing to appliances start to lose reliability. Slowly trusting one another more, Lewis agrees to join Catherine on an expedition below the City. A journey to hunt the disturbances’ cause, and one which will place both in more danger than they’ve ever encountered before.

For Catherine Westall and Lewis Clay, the dome-covered City is the only home either has ever known. They're both curious though, about why the lights on the dome's underside move from east to west over the course of each day.
That curiosity is one of the few things they have in common; considering Lewis works as a police officer, and Catherine involves herself in the practice of delving. An illegal activity which takes its practitioners to forbidden areas beneath the City. She risks her safety, in part, to secure money for the orphanage she manages. Lewis—bound by his duty—tries unsuccessfully to arrest Catherine after becoming stuck with her for a time in the off-limits underbelly. Escaping, she hopes never to see him again, but he, having learned of their shared curiosity, tries to hunt down leads regarding her identity.
Meeting again at a fundraiser for the orphanage, they come to realize that even with their conflicting legal views, they enjoy each other’s company. Planning to meet up again, both wonder if a friendship — or even something more — could be possible.
While his goal increasingly becomes to learn more about her — even to the point of beginning delving himself — he struggles to keep their relationship from damaging his career and other friendships. She finds herself growing fonder of him, while still uncertain what secrets may be safe to share with the charismatic police officer.
Both seek to deepen their relationship, but as more and more citizens blame delvers for an increase in mysterious failures around the City, they find themselves drawn into the dangerous business of trying to diagnose the problems. As inexplicable earthquakes begin to rock the City, both wonder what they’ll be able to accomplish, and whether their lives, or their home, can ever return to normal.

Lewis Clay joined the City police force in hopes of helping his fellow citizens; knowing the job would bring him into contact with criminals. Even encountering delvers—those who make illegal expeditions to the City’s underbelly—wasn’t out of the question. He never expected to actually meet one though.
Catherine Westall, frequent delver, never expected to meet a policeman during one of her expeditions, but there Lewis is, clearly not buying her story about getting lost.
He doesn’t get her name before she escapes his botched arrest attempt, but the two do learn more about one another, including the uncommon curiosity they share. Most residents have never wondered why the City was built, or what — if anything — exists outside the dome above their heads.
Catherine works at an orphanage; interested more in nurturing the children than her bank account. Indeed, the institution is chronically short of money, and her affection for the kids leads to risky profit-seeking delves.
They meet again by chance; neither really looking for a relationship, but finding unlikely companionship in the other. Trust doesn’t come easy, between a law enforcer and a law breaker, but Lewis gains his own interest in delving, just as she struggles to balance career, hobby, and romance.
It isn’t a simple love story however. Necessities more fundamental than law or love are always in demand, and systems providing food, water, and air all begin to falter one after another.
Lewis and Catherine wish they could just enjoy their burgeoning affections, but as quakes begin to rock the City, they realize the most dangerous parts of their lives — so far — are fast approaching.

I've been trying to figure this out but can't. Not sure if I'm paranoid or not but here we go.
I just installed fresh Ubuntu 24.04 on a Lenovo Thinkcentre (i5-9500) but no matter what I do, some of the hardware security checks fail (Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Device Security). The current security level is HSI:0! (v.1.9.16).
I understand all checks won't pass because of hardware limitations but my most concerning is Intel Management Engine Version which is the only fail in HSI-1 test. I've installed all updates I could find.
So, I'm wondering, should I be worried about the fail or is the system reasonably secure for home-use? If not, is there still something I could do?

Hello, i’m currently in my sophomore year of college, though with my high-school giving college credits i’m classified as a junior. I’m currently going for a degree in Information Systems and I just turnt 19 last month. I dont have any great certifications at the moment. I do have a Intro to Cybersecurity certificate from Cisco, though that feels like one of the easiest possible certifications i could have gotten so I doubt it’d be useful in the market.
However, the edge i have is my job experience— i’m currently on my third contract for an internship with a reputable companies IT department. I did a summer internship out of high school for 3 months, worked another contract for the month of december, and am currently on my third round of interning for the same company that ends in august. (I will have interned for a total of 7 months total)
Unfortunately the company does not have the budget to have me on full time, and i live a considerable distance away during the school year.
As for non-internship experience my current job is a primary technician in an arcade, worked that for about 3 months and had to put in my 2 weeks for this internship and moving back home.
My question is this: Though my certifications are kind of weak, and i’m still in college— is it realistic to think that I could possibly land an entry level position at a help-desk? My internship is basically already a help-desk job with extra steps, i just want to step into the role full time and with a decent amount of job security.

("Faraday" or the "Company") (TSX:FDY)(OTCQX:CPPKF) is pleased to announce the results of five drill holes from its Phase III program at the Copper Creek Project, located in Arizona, U.S. ("Copper Creek"). One hole was drilled to test a new target area 275 metres ("m") west of Keel and one hole was drilled to test the westward extension of Old Reliable. Three holes were drilled at Area 51 as a follow-up to the recent Starship and Eclipse breccia discoveries (announced on January 16, 2024 and March 4, 2024). At Area 51, we continue to intersect and expand near-surface mineralization. At Old Reliable, mineralization is being further delineated outside of the mineral resource pit shell. Area 51 was identified as highly prospective by integrating airborne versatile time domain electromagnetic (VTEM) geophysical data and short wave infrared spectral data together with geological mapping and sampling. Area 51 encompasses a porphyry intrusion with nine mapped breccia bodies over an area of approximately 400 m by 400 m, including Starship and Eclipse. The breccias are interpreted to have been emplaced at a shallow crustal level in the hanging wall of the northwest trending Holy Joe thrust fault, which brought Proterozoic metamorphic rocks in contact with younger sedimentary rock units to the east of Area 51. This fault is also thought to have controlled the emplacement of the Paleocene Glory Hole volcanics and Copper Creek granodiorite which host the mineral resource. Drill hole FCD-24-056 was collared northeast of the Eclipse breccia and drilled to the southwest to increase drill coverage for the Eclipse breccia (Figures 1 and 2). Mineralization is associated with chalcopyrite and minor bornite breccia cement. The hole started in granodiorite porphyry and intersected hydrothermal breccia from 28 m to 108 m followed by granodiorite porphyry to 131 m. The remainder of the hole to 187 m is in Glory Hole volcanics. The alteration in the breccia domain is quartz-sericite-pyrite with an interval from approximately 50 m to 70 m where tourmaline is abundant. Drill hole FCD-24-051 was collared 250 m north of the Eclipse breccia and drilled to the southwest into the Ziltoid breccia (Figure 1). The hole intersected Glory Hole volcanics in the first 180 m, followed by 4 m of granodiorite porphyry. From 184 m to 247 m the dominant lithology is hydrothermal breccia. Alteration at the start of the breccia is sericitic but K-feldspar and biotite dominate from 190 m to the end of the hole. Drill hole FCD-24-055 was collared southeast of the Eclipse breccia and drilled to the Northwest (Figure 1). The hole intercepted Glory Hole volcanics from surface to 49 m, followed by a series of granodiorite and monzogranite porphyries. From 136 m to 327 m the hole intersected hydrothermal breccia cemented by quartz, pyrite and specular hematite. Alteration within the breccia is intense quartz-sericite. Minor copper mineralization is associated with chalcocite near the upper contact of the breccia. Keel West is the area between the Keel zone and Old Reliable. This area coincides with a prominent untested geophysical anomaly which extends westward from the known mineralization at the Mammoth breccia and Keel zone to below Old Reliable (Figure 3). Drill hole FCD-24-053 was collared east of Old Reliable and drilled to the south-southeast (Figures 1 and 3). Mineralization is associated with bornite and chalcopyrite bearing veins with narrow sericite-biotite-K-feldspar alteration halos and the hole ends in mineralization. This type of bornite-rich, vein-hosted mineralization is known to be associated with high-grade mineralization and elevated gold grades at Keel and suggests the potential for other high-grade mineralized centers at depth below known near-surface mineralized breccias in the area. Old Reliable was the site of small-scale underground mining for copper and molybdenum prior to World War II. Starting in the 1970s, an experimental in-situ leach operation recovered some of the near-surface copper oxide mineralization. The sulphide-hosted mineralization remains in place. During the 1990s, densely spaced vertical drilling led to resource definition to approximately 200 m below surface. Several of those drill holes end in mineralization and the resource is open at depth and laterally. Additional follow up drilling is planned for this area. Drill hole FCD-24-054 was collared north of Old Reliable and drilled to the southwest (Figures 1 and 4). The hole was designed to test the westward extension of the mineralization outside of the open pit used to constrain the MRE. Mineralization is associated with disseminated and vein-hosted chalcopyrite within granodiorite porphyry. The drill hole intercepted Glory Hole volcanics from surface to 50 m and granodiorite porphyry to 208 m, returning to Glory Hole volcanics to 295 m and granodiorite for the last 12 m. Dominant alteration associated with the mineralization is sericite with kaolinite. Similar alteration is present in the Old Reliable breccia (as discussed in a news release dated April 10, 2024). Sampling Methodology, Chain of Custody, Quality Control and Quality Assurance All sampling was conducted under the supervision of the Company's geologists and the chain of custody from Copper Creek to the independent sample preparation facility, ALS Laboratories in Tucson, AZ, was continuously monitored. The samples were taken as ½ core, over 2 m core length. Samples were crushed, pulverized and sample pulps were analyzed using industry standard analytical methods including a 4-Acid ICP-MS multielement package and an ICP-AES method for high-grade copper samples. Gold was analyzed on a 30 g aliquot by fire assay with an ICP-AES finish. A certified reference sample was inserted every 20th sample. Coarse and fine blanks were inserted every 20th sample. Approximately 5% of the core samples were cut into ¼ core and submitted as field duplicates. On top of internal QA-QC protocol, additional blanks, reference materials and duplicates were inserted by the analytical laboratory according to their procedure. Data verification of the analytical results included a statistical analysis of the standards and blanks that must pass certain parameters for acceptance to ensure accurate and verifiable results.
