TL;DR
For context, I am a Massage Therapist [28F] while my partner [35M] is a Line Cook. We've been together for 8 years and We have a six-year-old child. When I got pregnant in 2017, we were still boyfriend and girlfriend and not living together. I continued working while pregnant to cover my expenses and rent since I was living alone.
When I reached my sixth month of pregnancy, I decided to move in with him because I couldn't continue doing massages, and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to pay the rent. I thought it would be easier if I had someone to support me financially since he was still working in a call center at that time. However, when we started living together, he had a conflict with someone in his company and he resigned. He didn't apply for another job since then. (I was seven months pregnant when he resigned).
We were in a tight situation, but luckily we were able to live with his family, so we didn't have to pay rent. I went to public hospitals for my check-ups and delivery, so we didn't have to spend money on that. But for our food and our baby's needs, his mother provided for us. At that time, his two siblings were still in college, and his mother was only selling food, so the budget she left for us was only 50 pesos a day. We would get our meals from the food she sold.
I felt really embarrassed to ask for more, to the point that I ran out of money to buy cleaning supplies for my stitches after my C-section. I used panty liners to cover the wound. I didn't want to ask for help from my parents because since I got pregnant, my parents didn't want me to be with him. I was the one who insisted.
Six months after giving birth, I went back to doing massages even though it was difficult for me, and he's left at home to take care of our child and do the household chores. But whenever there's an opportunity, I also help out because he always says that being a house husband is tiring. I really forced myself to work because I felt sorry for us, always relying on handouts. I tried telling him to find work, but the thing is, he keeps flunking the medical exams because of his lung scar. When he applied and failed, he didn't want to try again.
Since then, I have been the one shouldering all the expenses, from baby's needs, food, baptism, birthdays, Christmas, and everything else. My brother forced him to work as a construction worker, and he did it for almost three months, but when the project was finished, he lost his job again. Fast forward In December 2023, his friend got him a job at a restaurant, and he asked me to quit my job so that I could take care of our child. So I resigned, but I still do freelance work twice a week to supplement our budget.
However, there was a problem with their job, so the one-month salary they were supposed to receive was not given immediately. I used up my earnings to support him and our household expenses (bills, food, and our child's school allowance). I was forced to work again because we had nothing left. After two months, he found another job. We both started working, and we hired someone to take care of our child.
I told him that we should split the expenses, but he refused because he only earns minimum wage and he thinks I earn more. I earn 700 pesos per day plus tips (400-700 pesos per day), and on my two rest days, I do freelance work and earn 3,000 pesos weekly. So our weekly budget is 2,000 pesos, including our child's allowance. I divide it into two so that we each contribute 1,000 pesos. Since I earn more, I pay for the water, electricity, internet, caregiver's fee, and gas. The 1,000 pesos is his only contribution, but he still pushing to cut down on what he's chipping in. He wants me to reduce his share so that he can buy things for himself since he thinks I earn a lot. I don't want to agree to that.
I understand that maybe now, since he has finally earned some money through his hard work, he wants to be able to buy the things he desires. But what about our child's needs? I want him to be obligated to provide for our son, but I can't really say it. I always get scared when I try to voice out my feelings because he gets angry right away and says I talk too much.
I'm really struggling, but I have no one to talk to because I don't want my family's view of him to change. I can't even tell his family because they are still his relatives. I don't have any close friends I can confide in. It's difficult because he is a good father to our child, he doesn't cheat on me, and he is caring, especially before when he didn't have a job. He just doesn't have a provider mindset.
I have already told him before that in my line of work, I can't avoid indecent proposals and harassment, even though I don't tolerate them. It's inevitable that there will be people who will try to take advantage. That's why I don't want to work anymore, especially since I have been the only one working throughout our relationship. We've been together for 8 years. If we count the days we've been together, he hasn't even worked for a year yet, he just agrees without making any effort to apply for a job.
I'm so tired, I feel like I'm completely neglecting myself and my mental health. I understand what I should do, the thought of separating has crossed my mind, but I'm worried about the impact it would have on our child. I also don't want to add more worries for my elderly parents since they are both senior citizens. I'm really struggling with this decision.

I (28f), my husband (31m), our son(1m), my SIL(29f let’s call her Tee), and my BIL(19m let’s call him Jay) all live just moved in a house a little over a month ago. We all agreed to split the rent. My husband and I rightfully take up 2/4 of rent cost because that’s fair. My husband and I have been paying all other bills/utilities.
For some additional context my BIL(we’ll call him Jay) failed his senior year of high school last year as my MIL(Call her Vee is a single parent with a sponsor as a coparent we’ll call him Bee) was traveling for work and wasn’t able to fully focus on Jay’s schooling ect. Jay loves video games a lot and had been playing video games instead of doing schoolwork including instances of my MIL taking away the devices and him sneaking them back. Tee, who until the last 4 years pretty much raised him and at the time lived 4/5 hours away, took his game console from him only for my Bee to buy him a PC instead.
My husband has been wanting to step in and help for a while to kind of act as a “father figure” for Jay. I convinced my Vee to allow us to take over and get him through his second senior year, with lots of pressure from Bee and Tee. The PC came with him as he needed it for school. Despite Tee, Vee, and I protesting that he won’t stay focused. We made an agreement he sends his grades to my husband and does chores and he can have play his video games when he’s not working, weekends and breaks for school. Well Jay will be graduating this year at the end of the month.

Over the weekend Tee and I drove to Vee’s home, who lives a couple hours away, for Mother’s Day. It was about 11am, Tee had just gotten off work as she works 3rd shift and I slept in a bit as I had a late night with my 1yo. Jay doesn’t go as he had to work that night and my husband left ahead of us with the baby as he had other things to do earlier that day. I ask Jay to do dishes and take the trash out before we leave and before he goes to work as we were running . We come home later and neither was done. Jay says he didn’t hear me say it. My husband tells him it’s cool do it when he gets home. Everyone goes to bed as we’d all been gone all day and Jay starts on his chores. 

Monday morning Vee calls asking Tee insisting that she goes to Jay’s school to check him out as there’s only a few weeks left of school and Jay has finished all schoolwork. I know the issues that we’ve had this semester including an instance of Jay showing grades from another semester so that he can keep his gaming privileges for the weekend as per our agreement with him. Him missing days due to having the wrong days for a school break and him lying to us saying he didn’t need to go to his classes in the morning(my husband called the school and it was a blatant lie). So it’s safe to say I think it’s a bad idea as he can still be failed for missing too many days.

Tee loses it because she’d gotten up later in the night and saw him up on his game and the task/chores weren’t done and she’d had to tell him to do them at around 3 am. She’d also woken up around 8 am and he hadn’t gotten up for school so she’d had to also wake him up for school(my husband had to do this multiple times last week as well and he had an important test). She says he needs to stay in school. I tell MIL it’s fine but my only worry is his tardies and absences. Vee calls the school and confirms Jay is good to go. They say yes. So now I’m like ok cool. 

My SIL calls FIL and starts ranting at him about what BIL did the night before and having to wake him for school. He says he feels like we(SIL and I) were jumping on Jay and treating him like a kid, which I can see that. I tell him no the same task/chores he does I do as well besides the trash. I just don’t have to be told as if I see something needs to be done and have time I do it. I also cook, I do grocery/supplies shopping for the entire house and my husband and I pay all utilities. He just continues to say well he pays rent there too. I get angry and just say well we pay everything else. He continues trying to talk over me and reiterating how Jay is an adult. He also starts playing the age card making it seem like because he’s older i need to respect him and just listen and not talk back. I let him talk and he’s just saying the same things over again about Jay being an adult and I just say “well you buy him food and other supplies then.” He then decides that he wants Jay to move out. I just need to know if I’m the AH here? Because I’ve been thinking I could have handled the conversation better with my FIL.

Umm essentially my teacher gave us a project to make a story that's atleast 10k words and write it on short bond papers by hand and you can't print it, now I already have a story that I wrote on my files, my problem is that I need to write it down on the paper but if there is no line for me to write on, my writing starts flying towards the top of the page. My sweetest baby girl is 10 months old this Friday and she has been an absolute dream baby for the most part. She’s not really a big milk drinker and that has been a struggle for awhile. She prefers food and only drinks maybe 12-16 oz a day of milk on a good day. I’m having to pump to try and keep my supply up and even that’s a struggle but I’m just trying to get through the next two weeks until I get out of school for the summer. (I’m a teacher) I plan on EBF until her first birthday and then go from there. Anyways. Today was my absolute last straw with our babysittein home daycare provider. She has caused me so much unnecessary stress about my child and I don’t need this with my already dwindling milk supply. She has diagnosed my baby with hand, foot and mouth based off of tiny little dots she has on her cheek and the “notorious thumb blister” that’s really just a little slice from her teeth because she ducks her thumb and it has now caused a little cut on her thumb. She has told me that she can’t return to daycare for 10 days, which puts us to the last day of school. If my child were sick I would 100% take off work and stay home with her but she wants me to keep home a healthy child AND PAY HER while also having to find and pay for additional care. This evening after I had to pick her up from daycare for her “rash” she sends me a picture of her hand telling me that she has had a sickly headache for the past several hours. She says she never gets headaches unless she is sick and now her hand is breaking out and that she is SICK and that my child is sick. My baby is not sick. This woman is a hypochondriac and she is causing me problems and unnecessary stress. Ugh. 😫

Every kid growing up in Gympie in the early 90- 2000s knew about the Love Tunnel.
The love tunnel was located over the hill from the skatepark on the Riverbank. It was a massive storm water drain filled with spray paint and lore unbound throughout the generations; the glowing dick, whose name is the furthest in, the people who live inside, the bull shark that lived under the bridge just outside, all that fun stuff.
It collapsed in the late 2000’s in a flood and was eventually rebuilt, but it was all fancy, modern, safe and not the same. Back in the day it had decades of graffiti, crumbling cement, jagged metal pole framing bent and jutting out from the sides. You know, real character.
I remember when I was just a kid at the skatepark and I spotted a bunch of other kids at the metal grating of a drain. I joined them and gazed down a few metres to some older teenagers, they had trekked through this “love tunnel” under the massive hill all this way. Badass I thought. LEGENDARY.
I talked about it at school, about this mysterious “love tunnel”. It was in view from the road when I crossed the bridge everyday on my daily commutes from the backseat of mums car.
I would gaze down at the weir and see the top of the love tunnel, sliightly hidden from view by a hill. It fascinated me.
I learned all these mysterious tales; this person slept with this person there, someone took a dump at the entrance and some other girl stood in it and now she had a nickname, someone found needles, another found a homeless woman and she screamed at them. I was pumped for the next weekend. I was going to go see it for myself.
I saw too much.
Early Saturday morning I was riding my push bike through town and toward destination adventure! I started out at the skatepark, met up with a few of the regulars, a mix of 5-19y/o everyone on the half pipes and ramps had a code of comrady that I've never found in a public place anywhere else and you always had someone to hang with.
My usual crew slowly arrived through the morning, a bunch of other 10/11 year old misfits like myself and we headed on our first place on our journey, Hungry Jacks. Now we never technically stole, we found a loophole…
One or two would order a stunner meal, then we'd take privilege of the free refills and fill up the empty plastic 4L juice jugs that we all had prepped in our backpacks. Coke and red Fanta for days.
So we got our supplies and headed behind HJ, past the volleyball courts and headed down a bush track down to the river.
We walked along the banks to loop back down to where the bridge was, we passed a few teenagers fishing and a couple other groups of kids swinging from rope swings into the water or huddled in groups smoking things they shouldn't.
We eventually arrived at the weir and the stormwater drain that I had been so intrigued by. The Love Tunnel.
Climbing up the hill and seeing it up close when you were just a tiny human. It was like staring into the dark abyss of hell.
There was a small stream of water flowing out of the big grey cylinder and it was covered in multicolored quotes and crude pictures that was very eye opening at the time.
Our voices echoed as one by one we climbed up the grassy, eroding clay edging that was the makeshift path into the mouth that probably changed each time it rained. Each of us had pulled out clumps of grass that we thought were handholds. If you fell, you fell down an embankment of slippery jagged rocks poking out from the fast flowing river.
So were inside and began to walk a couple of metres in then around us the light abruptly disappeared into complete darkness. And I remember the way the sounds traveled you could feel it through your chest it was mesmerizing.
I remember bravely stepping into the darkness and taking five or six steps in. That thick darkness was something else, I ran myself back to that entrance and light, heart pounding from the adrenaline.
This turned into a game of who could go in the furthest. This stopped when one of the boys screamed out from the darkness in pain.
He was back in the light teary eyed a few moments later wet on one side and feigning a laugh. He'd slipped down and cut open his knee, it was hilarious. We teased him saying he was going to get gangrene and leprosy and a myriad of other ailments we had no idea actually was.
We decided to bail, we forgot torches, we didn't plan that part out too well, and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon being little menaces.
We met the next day with a game plan, we had an array of various sized torches, from small ones that didn't do anything, one of those giant rectangle ones that was our main light source, a couple of handheld ones, one which flickered and the other stopped working before we even got into the tunnel.
We got in safely and tested out our torches and began walking into the unknown. It was pretty much the same as before, but there were strange things, old makeshift bongs, shopping bags, random shoes, a shopping trolley, a mattress that was all moldy and rotted. I still to this day do not understand how people managed to get that shit in there.
We passed a section where someone had thrown a can of red paint all over the walls, the amount of those ‘S’ symbols was more terrifying.
We saw light up ahead, we were passing our first grate. It was kind of daunting looking up towards it. Even getting on each other's shoulders we couldn't reach. There was an array of broken beer bottles and glass was everywhere, under the grate was a dead snake amongst some debris.
We had a debate whether to go further, we ended up going on at least until the next grate, we came to a fork, one seemed like a smaller offshoot so we stuck to the bigger side.
There were more offshoots and we came to a part where the big pipes split off into three under another grate. We gazed up hoping to get an identifier of our location, but all we could see was blue. We called out to see if we could get anyone's attention.
“Cooooweeee” we shouted in unison, the sound echoing in all directions.
We were laughing and having a grand time until something shouted back, something that still shakes me to my core to this day.
Some yobbo crackhead chick in her fifties with this ratty pink tank top that was all stretched half showing her saggy titties. “What the fuck you think you little cunts doing down here.” This chick screeched at us through her few teeth or something along the lines of that. She just exploded at us with a barrage of threats.
We were shocked silenced moving together to make one mass.
One of the boys screamed when a skinny guy emerged from the darkness. He was covered in tattoos with scraggly hair and a beard, he was all crazy eyed and pantless.
Someone yelled out to run and it was all the motivation we needed.
We could hear them screaming and the guy ran after us, we heard glass shattering behind us, they must have thrown a bottle. We were legging it.
We got split up in our running, I fell down, tripping over some rubbish, one mate stayed back to help me, this left us without a torch. We came across the same kid who slipped over yesterday, he had slipped down again cutting open his other knee. He wore those with badges of honor at school, but he was blubbering like a baby at this point.
He had the flickering torch and it disoriented us more than helped, as it turned on and off every time he took a step. I thought we were lost but we found the other grate, then eventually the entrance.
The others were already climbed down, we were soon by their side panting in the grass and wiping away our tears so the others couldn't see.
We ran back over to the skatepark and immediately told every kid we saw.
That was the wildest shit we had ever experienced. Sure we’d seen crazy up on the street but to have it jump out at you from the shadows in a storm water drain was next level.
By that night one of the other boys had spilled to his parents about our escapades and a couple of other mums got phone calls, three got in trouble, two of us didn't, including me.
I never stepped foot back in that tunnel, I swam at the weir more times than I could count afterwards though and never encountered anyone else too sketchy.
I think only a year or two later I saw on the news people dying in storm water drains somewhere else in Aus, we never realized how dangerous they could be back then. Lol.
Every party or get together afterwards it was a crowd favorite to bring up. It was a good conversation starter and joined the tales amongst my friends of the weird shit that happens in ‘Helltown’.
Growing up and looking back they were probably just homeless drug addicts freaked out from a bunch of children's voices yelling out coooweee from the underground where they thought they were alone. That would have scared the shit outta me if I was them.

05/14/2024 - PPI data for April released

Econ Data Expectation vs Surprise
Headline: Actual 0.5% vs Expected 0.3%. Hotter than expected (--, bearish), and pushed Fed cut expectation further. However, the March PPI was revised down (+, bullish).
Market Reaction
NQ: Initial reaction: 1min sold off -135pts, or -70pts from ONL. Then reversed higher, drifted towards multiday resistance at 335-340.
ES: Initial reaction: 1min sold off -30pts, or -16pts from ONL. Then reversed higher, drifted towards multiday resistance at 5260.
Intraday trend Both ES and NQ both broke multiday resistance, respectively at 18337 and 5260 in the afternoon trading. The same level was faded twice in the past 3 days since that was established from April highs. The push was the result of big buy orderflow around 2pm ET into the resistance. There were rumors that CPI number (going to be released tomorrow, 05/15/2024) was leaked, causing the push. I read on fintwit that the expectation of the PPI will be hotter while the CPI will be cooler, due to the BLS changing the compiled components of CPI. So expecting the headline number of CPI to be lower tomorrow and market's initial reaction to be looking higher.
Market context analysis
Both ES and NQ are less than 2% from their intraday ATH. It is very likely that with a cooler CPI print they are able to touch that ATH from March. However, there are confluence of bearish factors if we push into NQ 18610/ES 5315 areas: 1) Both are overhead heavy supply areas. 2) ES closed 9 days green in a row, and NQ effectively is also 9 days green in a row. Bulls are getting complacent again. 3) VIX has been suppressed at 12-13 level for days. It is not yet the time to long VIX yet, as the May VIX expiration is still one week away (5/22), which coincides with $NVDA earnings. 4) GME and AMC madness showing a surge in speculating activity/mentality.
Trade prep
In Asia session, NQ is hovering around 18410. This is exactly yearly VWAP + 1 stddev. Overhead resistance at 18500 (high of the meltdown from April), 18620, then 18710 (ATH). On the daily trend, NQ is forming HH and HL. Technically, I am leaning a dip into the single prints will get bought, pushing 1%+ to touch March ATH level (18710). Fundamentally, I am speculating the CPI will be opposite to the PPI data and headline number will be cooler than expected, or at least in line with expectation.
a) Primary scenario: I am looking for the CPI reaction to be an initial dip into single prints/prior resistance (18340) then push higher into resistance (18500+) in Globex. Once RTH opens, I speculate that the market could initially sell off from resistance, creating a brief buying opportunity and then grind higher for the rest of the day.
b) Secondary scenario: Market's initial reaction could be completely reverse to that of today's PPI reaction. Wholesalers might create an initial push into 18500 to get rid of their overnight long inventory, then (gradually) selloff to 18340-18160 cost basis area.
Trade plan for Tomorrow
In Globex trading, I will set a limit buy order at 18340 to anticipate for the primary scenario. I will sell at the push into 18500. Conversely, I set a limit sell order at 18500 to account for the secondary scenario. Both trades expect +150 pts from entry, and stop loss of 60 pts.
In RTH trading, I will observe market's reaction to the CPI data. If reaction is bullish, I will proactively look for pullbacks to go long. Inversely, if the reaction is bearish (especially with an initial push higher then sell off), I will look for shorting opportunities.

Toradol. Lifesaver. I was legit considering the benefits of death by semi truck when I decided urgent care was a better option. Young doc straight out of med school prescribed my far 225lb ass 30mg of Toradol, given IM. Unfortunately wouldn't give a script to go. Worked for about 10 hours, then back into the fray. Broke out the Banamine from my veterinary stash thanks to owning horses, and downed about 3ccs with a shot of juice. Not sure which is worse the taste of that shit or hells itch itself but it put a slight dent into it. That and enough ibuprofen, aleve, Bayer, and Tylenol in one sitting to put an elephant in need of a liver doctor and enough weed and booze to knock a horse on its ass, combined with a triple dose of melatonin yummiest finally got me to the point of a bit of sleep.
LESSON LEARNED: Toradol for the win. Now I just need to find a doctor willing to prescribe me a supply of it to keep on hand for emergencies

Hi! I'm the bf of a gf who's been accepted to both JHU and UW Seattle for mech engineering. I'm super proud of her, and we've been weighing the pros/cons of going to each school, but it's been super difficult to decide. We're both from WA (I've also been accepted to UW Seattle for CS), so she'd be a in-state student. She's committed to JHU (just because the deadline is earlier than UW's, and she's heavily considering JHU), but still thinks about UW as an option. Some background, she's worked really hard in HS, taking on a contractor job at Boeing, has done a Museum of Flight program, done a bunch of 3D modeling/printing work. She's always been a learner, trying to learn more and doesn't want to stop learning. So that's where the line comes with UW and JHU. Here's what we have so far:
UW: - "meh" mech engineering program, she's heard that it's mostly theoretical (just design practice), less hands-on - unable to double major - about 15k a year, would commute for at least first year, considering other options in seattle after - grand total, 60k undergrad, 40k masters (?) = 100k for 6 years-ish

• opportunities at Boeing are almost guaranteed, because she made some lasting connections over there from her summer contract. She does mention, though, that she doesn't want to limit herself to Boeing.

JHU: - 2nd in the country biomedical engineering (she is interested in that, along with mech) things like bionics is something she finds really interesting

• able to double major in biomedical and mech engineering
  
• about 89k a year (this is a big part that we're concerned about) - grand total, 5 years, about 500k
  
• she's a bit of a explorer, which i love about her, but... she's pretty impulsive. Therefore, the safety of the area of Baltimore is a bit of a concern as well
  
• she also wants to push her boundaries, to see what it's like living away from home and surviving independently
  
• extensive masters + bachelors program for mech engineering (both at the same time), in 5 years
  

I'm excluding the "we're gonna miss each other" part, but I want her to put her education and her aspirations before me.
From the start, she's liked both schools, as they both seem like really really good opportunities. Oh and also - her parents are willing to contribute about 10k per year to UW, and will probably do slightly more for JHU. Not covering all though, because 89k is a lot. She'd have to take out loans.
At this point, it's really about the cost, and the reward. Is the 89k a year worth it? She's also considered that at UW, she'll make it out of undergrad pretty much debt free, while saving up more during that time. NO financial aid from either school.
She's mostly scared that she's gonna miss out on a huge opportunity. So.. any advice, or has anyone gone through either of the programs?
Also - if this means anything as to what she can do, she got waitlisted at caltech. She didn't really apply to any of the Ivys, because she thought they were out of reach, and JHU was just one that she shot off an application to last second, just for the fun of it. She does regret not applying to other schools now, but that's a different occasion.

With reading a writing scores across the world being at a all time low and the increase in screen time as well as behavioral issues being seen across schools and homes, we have to sit and ask ourselves, what is really going on?
Every generation says the next is doomed, but there something there…I dunno. Something.
I work at a university as a Chem TA and I work in a government facility as a researcher. My students at my job at the university are…those freshmen are not doing great.
They don’t follow directions, they can’t doing their heading, their quality of work is atrocious and because I am not a grade school teacher, I don’t have the liberty to sit down with them and have a one on one. I can with some, but not all—this is the major league.
I had to start deducting points if their didn’t put their first and last name on the paper, along with date. I have had to break up almost fights with students because they were behaving poorly and tell them that they will be expelled and brought up on charges of they fight.
They don’t follow instructions and some of them are very disrespectful. The common denominator here, because they all came from different schools and I have a track record of being the best TA in my department, they would all rather spend time in their phones than listen. I have had to print out surprised quizzes to get them to pay attention. There is only 16 weeks in the semester.
This behavior is not just gen alpha, but with gen z too, and only a certain year and beyond. Gen alpha is watching these kids tear up classrooms and be mean and disrespectful and they want that too! If we don’t get our own behavior in check and start being better role models, this next generation is going to be messed up.
But that is my opinion. Please don’t jump me in the comments. If this is all over the place or grammatically incorrect, I’m half sleep.

Hi, I have an HP LaserJet MFP283fdw with non-HP toner. Knowing the evils of HP, I turned off automatic firmware updates a long time ago to make sure HP couldn't stop me using non-HP toner.
But recently my Windows PC has stopped even being able to see the printer, calling it Offline. Same on my phone with HP Smart. Nothing has changed on my printer and my Linux PC (not using HP-supplied drivers) can see and print to it fine, just as always.
It seems possible to me that newer HP software will now silently ignore any printer without the current firmware, in order to force people onto newer firmware that forces HP products. Can anyone confirm if that's what is going on here? However if I update the printer firmware, presumably it will start to reject my 3rd party toner, right?
Anyone using an M283fdw with non-HP toner successfully?

I work in inventory logistics in a big hospital. Well, I work in the bottom floor in a centralized space, and while delivering supplies, got referred to as “the bottom”
Someone was telling a PCT “You can be nice to the bottom if you want, but you don’t have to.”
Usually I am just condescended at, but every once in a while, I hear things like that, and it is disheartening. Sorry I don’t have enough for nursing school jerk.

Im 27 and have been doing warehouse work since I was 20. For about 8 months now Ive been working in a machine shop operating UV Flatbed Printers as well as an engraver. I am fascinated with the technology and art of it all. My current job is the perfect starting ground for me to learn how to use these machines but I want to go further than what my current employers use them for. Im also interested in 3D printing, we have one at my job but its used very rarely so I havent gotten many chances with it. Is this something i should/could go to school for? Is there anyone who has experience in this industry who could give me advice or anything really. Anything is much appreciated:)
