Now some extra thoughts:
Slash May be my new second favorite, possibly even #1 favorite figure now (she’s fighting Legacy Windblade for that first place spot). Incredible articulation and colors, love the transformation, very clever. Looks great in robot and velociraptor mode. Me and my gf laughed for a good 15 minutes about how the bits used to tab her legs into her chest in the alt-mode look like nipples. Whether the fact she’s the one who bought Slash is why it’s so highly ranked in my eyes is irrelevant, this is epic. Also. If you have Nightshade, Slash pairs well with their knives.
The five-pack got a laugh out of my dad. I called it a value pack when I opened it and he said, sarcastically, “Oh yeah, I’m definitely seeing the value.” He doesn’t mean anything by it, that’s just his sense of humor. All five of these guys are incredible. My favorite of the bunch have to be Jazz. I enjoyed Legacy Knockout so naturally Jazz would be a highlight. One issue I had was because I’m an idiot and couldn’t figure out where Trailbreakers arms go. Also, I keep forgetting how Hound works and breaking his legs when I take him out of the Jeep mode. They’re easily repaired, but Hound has got to be the most traumatized figure I have solely due to my stupid sausage fingers. Wheeljack has so much personality behind that head sculpt despite not having a mouth, and Sunstreaker is so smug, I love it.
What else can I say about Legacy Tarn what hasn’t already been said? I couldn’t understand his transformation the first few times and kept popping off his chest piece. The tank mode looks badass. My one critique would be where to put/use the dual fusion cannons. They weigh his arm down and make it hard to pose, and they block his side vision when put on his back over his shoulders. But overall, great figure
2 days after I got him, I found a SS BBM Shockwave in the clearance aisle at my local Walmart. He has been one of the coolest figures this year for me. Such a good color and that ion cannon looks so menacing. I can’t help but say in my head “destroy the launch pad, let none escape.” (His only line in Bumblebee) everytime I look at/ hold him. However, his alt-mode is something else. I can’t for the life of me seem to be able to find a comfortable place to put the fusion cannon, so he just ends up looking like a very angry crab. Also, his uniboob broke through the wrapping paper so I could tell it was him before I opened it.
Thundercracker and Skywarp, together with SS86 Starscream they form the Trio of Failing Upwards. The only difference between them and SS86 Starscream is the colors, which are awesome. I loved SS86 Starscream, I love these two.
And finally, Astrotrain, my first triple-changer. When my mom saw he had three modes she said, “Wow, I didn’t know they could do that.” And that’s the most interested I’ve ever seen her get about these figures. To her, these are a waste of money and space that could be used on more productive things. Is the right, maybe. But idgaf I’m having the time of my life. Both train and shuttle modes are amazing, but very loud to transform and requires some Hulk strength to undo some of the tabbing. Also, his back wheels sometimes refuse to flip for whatever reason and his knees are weak. But he’s got great accessories, a great build, and is generally an absolute unit.

What am I supposed to be working on now? My class does need 3l attack secondary but seeing the expected cost is quite dissuading. Would it make more sense to pray for 3l attack or do something else?

Hi all, new to reboot and I’ve just completed my hyperburn w/ pensalir and temp cra lol (waiting SSF). Currently duoing nlomein (somewhat carried) and yet to attempt party luwill.
Any advice on the general progression of accessories after 9 boss set and is there a guidance towards starforcing before transition or alike? E.g go for 17* kanna before sup gollux (or 22* kanna I have no idea).
I’m aware of superior gollux set and sweet water acc being somewhat the next tier of accs but how do you know when to transition? For example is there a progression like max zak acc> BBM/cpap mark and to stop at 17* or etc?
I’ve found out so far that KT/Meister>sup gollux> slime but do you TH at 17* or etc? Generally confused as to how to progress as a generally uncarried character since there are so many differing opinions like person A saying SW is trash and person B saying SW is good bc it’s a guaranteed “drop”.
TLDR: what accs (and respective *s) to aim for “tier” by “tier”?
Appreciate all advices and hope everyone has been having as much fun with event as I am!

2023.06.21 10:45 ozzo75 Coming off lower back injury. How does this template combo sound?

I’m coming off a lower back injury (couple of herniated discs) and planning my programming for the next year. I’ve got some questions about my path…does it sound decent or dumb? :)
tldr; (skip down to “So here’s the plan”)
So a quick background. I’m 47. I got back to lifting about three years ago. Around that time I messed up my knees, from A LOT of mountain hiking. Deadlifting and squats hurt my knees, so I avoided them, but I was able to do leg press for some reason. I hammered that sucker and got some decent numbers. I also was able to do rack pulls. This was the first time I herniated a disc (didn’t realize it at the time). Eventually I could squat and deadlift. I ran SBS paid program and then nSuns (kinda did that backwards…oops). nSuns broke me; couple pops while deadlifting. I thought it was my muscle(s) in the lower back, but anyway, now I know it was the discs. So I rehabbed. Slowly added weight to the bar, like 2 to 3% a week. It worked! Then one day after box squats I bent down to pick up my shorts and a disc must have slipped out. :(
Sorry, that wasn’t so short. So basically, the pain was horrible after that…crazy sciatica pain. I followed the instructions in the book The Gift of Injury and pain is gone and I feel I’m at the time to begin squats and deadlifts again.
So here’s the plan:
I’m going to run BBM’s The Beginner Prescription (just the free version) for at least a couple months, starting with lower weight and building up slowly. Per BBM it’s suitable for:
“Individuals returning from an injury…if a lifter has been unable to train normally for a substantial period of time (more than 4-6 weeks), they are also a candidate to use this template.”
Just going to use this program for squats and deadlift. I’ll run another program for bench and accessories (I’ve never stopped benching. Recently set a new 150kg PR, woohoo!)
Now here’s the real questions why I’m here. When I feel my squats and deadlift are getting back to normal, I’d like to run the Low Fatigue Strength Template for those two lifts only. And run another program for bench, OHP, accessories, etc. But I’m not sure if that would be a waste of money.
My thinking is, I’d like to go easy on them for at least a year. “Slow and steady wins the race” kind of mentality. “Low fatigue”. But also thinking I could just lower the frequency/volume/intensity for those two lifts for whatever program I decide to run instead of buying the low fatigue template.
I have a lot of time to spend at the gym and have plenty of energy. I just don’t want to injure myself again. So looking for a low fatigue path for my lower back. Thanks

Aluminum Focusworks F2 Flashlight

This puppy is flawless and after a few days or so of testing it wasn’t really for me. It is a simple Light that works great. I just have something super similar I like more. Great tails switch with a forward clicky, and the beam is super solid with great throw from something so compact.

Lionsteel Oatnat m390 slipjoint

Nice little stabilized wood knife, super rounded and comfortable in the hand, no sharp edges, which is non traditional, but much better for cutting. The cutting edge has been laid back to 16* to give you a more traditional cutting edge, because the stock is thicker than a normal blade. But the polish was done well and it looks quite good.

PJ NCC BBMv2 Really nice Bbm here, on the plain side for one of their builds but I think the plain scales bring out the lines on the blade all the more. Used to cut a chip bag open…. But carried a few times to church. The smoothest non-thumbstud version I have felt, come with a pouch, no COA (per usual) has a few marks on the top of the pocket clip.

Tashi + Massdrop Prism Really super awesome Edc knife with the faux-integral look. This one is factory sharp and has only seen a days carry. Love it, but just don’t carry it.

Full Dress Artisan Cutley Great White This one hurts, and I sorta hope it doesn’t sell, because this is one amazing knife. It’s beautiful on the outside and as a looking piece, and everyone I show it to goes, that’s a stupid handle, then the hold it. It’s really crazy how well it melts into the hand. She is unused, and has been sitting looking pretty. New for 600

Stedemon ZKC B02 Only barely used, flipped, tuned and cleaned, this is a sweet little knife. It is sorta Japanese feeling in the hand with an upswept tip, bold cts-204p blade, and a really unique action. It’s very hydrolic, unlike any drop shutty knife or even a herman. Very different. This puppy is really sharp, the few things I tested her on were no match. Really nice little pocket clip too. Get it new from BHQ for 260 orrrrr info

What’s up guys? Today I have for your consideration a price drop on four of my knives.
  1. Toor XT1-Alpha- Acid Washed S35VN blade and Ti scales. Second owner and not cut or carry by either of us (I might have cut some paper to test the edge, but I can’t remember). In LNIB condition. SV/TV- $275
  2. Varga VBR- M390 with PVD coated frame and red G10 scales. First owner on this one too. Carried several time and cut some plastic, no signs of wear from this. Like new condition. SV/TV-$255
  3. Holt Haptic- Polished Stonewash M390 and 98V Seabreeze milled scales. Second owner on this one and in like new condition. There are no flaws to speak of, but this one was sent back to Holt for a spa day by the previous owner. During the Spa day, the ano was touched up and the Holts installed ceramic bearings (which is what it’s currently on). The original bearings are included in the box. No real carry or use by me, other than flipping it open and closed a lot. Selinko card is included and I posted a screenshot of it in the album. SV/TV- $775
  4. GiantMouse Ace Farley- M390 Blade and OD Micarta scales. First owner and only cut paper. No real wear or damage. SV/TV- $100
Trade wise, the only specific thing I’m looking for is a NCC/BBM V2 and Maybe a Strider SMF. I will consider all offers however.
All knives come with their original boxes and accessories. Interested in trading and selling and will consider all offers. CONUS only and Apple Pay, Zelle or Venmo. I was a victim of the PayPal scam from a couple weeks ago and so I prefer not to use PayPal for the foreseeable future as a result.
