So I recently started studying for the Security+ (SY0-701) certification using Professor Messer's youtube videos. I'm taking down notes and all, and also revising them but I want to test my knowledge after I complete a section. I'm currently at section 1.2 so when I take practice exams I don't know majority of the answers because I haven't learned it yet.
I found a website that has practice question based on sections so I can test myself after each section but I don't think its a good website, I feel like some of the questions are contradicting and I don't want to learn wrong information.
For example:
I had a multiple question that was "Which of the following statements about honeypots are true? (Select 2 answers)" I selected "Honeypots are always part of a honeynet" and got that wrong but the next question was "What is a honeynet in the context of cybersecurity?" and my answer was "A network of honeypots" and got that right. Like I'm confused now.

Question 86 of Dion’s third practice test for 701 is

Dion states the correct answer is a VPN because a SASE is far more technology than the situation calls for. Am I wrong for flat out disagreeing, nothing in the question indicates there is a limitation of resources. If the goal is the BEST solution to securing communications between the different bank branches a SASE would be the BEST choice while VPN would just be a good choice.

Nearly ruined it for myself! I was convinced my exam was at 2pm today, so I showed up at 1:15, had a drink and review my notes. Went to the proctor at 1:45 and she immediately gave me an annoyed “be on time next time”. Not knowing at the time that I was late, I have to admit I let it get to me, I’m pretty sensitive. I spent the entire exam being annoyed and wanting to get out of there. It was only after I was in the bathroom an hour later that I realized that I was lucky to be allowed to take the exam at all. I was even thinking of going to apologize to her, but I wasn’t rude to her or anything.
With that out of the way, I passed with a 761/900. No, I don’t like my score, but I went into this exam with a terrible attitude (which honestly started way before exam day because I’m feeling burned out from studying). I raced through all the questions in 25 minutes and had to force myself to review for another 20.
It felt easier than Net+, there are more questions that are straight to the point. Still, quite a few tripped me up. Can’t quite figure out when compTIA wants me to consider FDE or remote wipe. I’m thinking, remote wipe is only good as long as the device remains online. But I digress, I passed, I’m happy, I wanna move on.
Here are my study methods: - CompTIA Security+ Study Guide with over 500 practice test questions These practice questions are good! Sometimes their website doesn’t work so I’ve done the chapter practice questions and the two full practice exams on my phone. My scores for the full practice exams were: 98% and 84%. - Professor Messer’s Security+ 701 course and study sessions Can never go wrong with the Professor. Unfortunately I couldn’t afford his practice questions this time around. - Jason Dion’s practice questions set one. I didn’t like these questions. There were a lot of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors which resulted in making the questions harder than they were, because what are you even saying? My scores were: 76%, 77%, 82%, 76%, 81% and 72%. I didn’t make these questions the focus of my study. - Also didn’t really focus on examcompass much this time around, I took tests on exam day and scored 76% for test 3 and 60% on test 19. Please note that I didn’t take the percentage based on points, but the (lower) percentage based on questions that I answered correctly.
Just wanted to do another quick shoutout to Andrew Ramdayal, his “50 practice questions” video gave me the confidence I had enough knowledge to pass.
Shoutout number two goes out to Pete Zerger, his Security+ exam cram videos are absolutely fantastic. I learned some new things a day before the exam. His videos are not fully uploaded yet, but if you need a quick review, you can check out the completed modules. If you need to review a short topic, the completed modules are also available in smaller videos.
Okay, that’s the trifecta over and done with. From start to finish that took me a little less than five months. Though, I’m not done with compTIA just yet, I like this structured way of learning. I have to do Linux+ sometime this year and I’m definitely interested in moving forward with what I’ve learned so far.

I guess the answer is that people who put their money into memecoins are not rational, but the difference in market cap seems way outsized for the difference in utility between BAT and memecoins. Surely BAT can reach the market cap of whatever the f**k BonkBONK is right? Or are raised interest rates going to grind these all to dust?

I have a problem since I bought my new graphics card (msi gaming x rtx 4060 ti 8GB) I am between 150 - 200 fps on valo, which is not normal because several friends of mine (including one who have the same config as me) and have a 4060 ti and are around 500 fps.
I also had approximately these performances with my 3060 (msi gaming z trio 3060 120 GB). I formatted my PC and reinstalled the drivers, updated my drivers and everything and I'm still at the same stage.
It's also the same on other games, I have big losses of fps / lag while I play on low. I also made some optimizations and chose my CG in the NVIDIA panel or even connected my screen to my CG but nothing to do and I can't find the solutions either on the forums/internet or by searching in my settings in my Bio/windows or others (I also searched IG).
I did benchmarks on 3dmark demo and here are my results
before my 4060 ti:

As the title says, my PGWP is expiring in the end of May. My employer already applied for LMIA in March and still is waiting for the result which is predicted to come in July/August.
When I googled around, as far as I read on this article (https://www.ircc.canada.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=701&top=17), I have to have a valid job offer to apply for a work permit. Could I use a job offer that my employer made for me when he applied LMIA? Or he has to submit anything on Employer Portal to get the job offer valid?
Any further information is appreciated. I’m really stressed out with this situation.

Just wanted to share to whoever finds this helpful as I found other posts also did for me when I started.
Context:
Just passed security+ 701 last week. Started studying for A+ last year around October so roughly about 2 months studying for each exam so 7/8 months to get all certs. Average 4 hours a day studying 5 days a week. There were days I felt burnt out so took some more days off. (No IT background , passed each exam first time so its possible)
Resources used/Tips:
'Professor Messer' on YouTube he goes over all the exam objectives and his lessons are concise and easy to understand. https://www.youtube.com/@professormesser
'PowerCert Animated videos' on YouTube also helps with explaining specific concepts and topics with animation which makes it very easy to visualise and understand. https://www.youtube.com/@PowerCertAnimatedVideos
'ankidroid' mobile app on google play store to create my own flash cards from my notes and regularly go over them to help retain the info learnt. There is also a web version 'ankiweb' if you are unable to get the mobile version.
I also used ChatGPT to explain/simplify concepts I didn't understand. HIGHLY USEFUL honestly farrrr better than just searching google.
Once I am done with learning I used 'Examcompass' to also test my knowledge and see if there is any learning gaps. (Note that the questions are not phrased like the exams but are instead just meant to test your knowledge.) https://www.examcompass.com
The last thing is, I bought Jason Dion practice exams for the exam that I am taking on Udemy website and went through them (The questions are meant to be tailored to be like the real exam and that is very helpful) He also goes over the answers and explains why the answer is correct and why the others are wrong. Very Important to understand the why and not memorise answers.
Exam tips: 'Flag' the PBQs (they are the first 4 or 5 questions you get) and come back at the end to do them as they can seem overwhelming at first glance and you might end up wasting too much time on them or it might put you off and you'll feel you jammed before you even get to the questions and at that point you might even given up mentally. (Almost happened to me on my first exam and so I learnt my lesson)
I found that the real exam questions are worded in a way that can make it a lot more complicated and confusing which can put you off so be aware and read the questions more than once! Recognise any key words/concepts that will help you narrow down the possible answers through process of elimination (give yourself a reason why it cant be this answer or that answer). E.g. if the question is about wireless networks then the answer is unlikely to be about cat6 cables. Also for some questions you might get to 2 answers that are both valid so choose the best/most suited answer based on the scenario/context of the question.
Closing point:
I honestly thought I failed each exam and was surprised each time with a pass. I am religious and I believe my faith certainly also played a part not even kidding! Once I had finished prepping the best I could, I just left it to God and trust and prayed that all goes well with the exam. It certainly helps relief some tension and pressure. Of course faith without works is dead, still got to put in the work and he will get you across. (Passed within less than 20 marks from the pass mark for all exams)

I can't help but feel like the amplifier could be a bottle neck in the system, and I saved up some money for a new upgrade. I'm trying to find a good power amplifier under 1000$, however the normal recommendations (Cambridge CX, Yamaha A-701), all have pre-amps and DACS and other things built in, and I've already invested in separates for most things. Been thinking about the schitt vidar, but wondering if anyone has had experience with it. Seems to me Schitt is more focused on headphone stuff. Any advice for a power amplifier that wouldnt make the rest of my system obsolete?

Hello all. First off, please be kind; I'm an anxious socializer and don't interact much on Reddit. But I feel like I'm about to lose my mind with this whole situation, and I don't know what else to do.
So I'll try keep this brief by saying that I've (36F, 4'9" 121lbs) been having symptoms of insulin resistance for a LONG time (3-4 years), but due to a combination of bad timing, bad medicine, and my own ignorance, I ended up getting bounced between a handful of doctors who didn't realize what was going on (ex: my hunger pain was evaluated by a GI doctor as a potential ulcer; my frequent urination was evaluated by a urologist as overactive bladder). My A1C and glucose were always normal, but I was chronically sleep-deprived due to overwhelming hunger pain after dinner; I was gaining weight, losing hair... I was stressed and depressed, an absolute disaster.
When I finally figured out what was going on, I lowered my carbs, began exercising more, started checking my glucose (consistently prediabetic range both before and after meals) - with a lot of work, I lost 10lbs in 6 months, which was insane because I'd been struggling to lose even ONE POUND for the past 2 years. I felt a little better. But then I had one popsicle after dinner one night, and the debilitating hunger pain came back with a vengeance. It seemed undeniably clear to me that the problem was related to my body's relationship with insulin. I've had idiopathic reactive hypoglycemia since childhood, so in a way, this wasn't surprising at all; I was actually surprised I didn't make the connection sooner.
Now, I moved in the middle of this saga, I got new insurance, and I got a new gynecologist. When I was finally able to get an appointment, I mentioned my symptoms and she asked about my cycle - which is... regular in its irregularity (according to my app, my average cycle is anywhere from 29-44 days long, but most months it's right around 36) - and she wanted to evaluate me for PCOS.
Well, I got the bloodwork back and it's... nearly perfect. The only thing that's elevated is DHEA, but this is where it begins to confuse me. It doesn't say DHEA-S, just DHEA, and the lab reference range is 31-701. Mine is 821. The doctor didn't seem concerned about this AT ALL, which only confused me more (I keep seeing anything over 700 means you might have a tumor?).
This led me down a rabbit hole reading about the different subtypes of PCOS, and now I'm just... I don't even know. So far, NOTHING has been definitive. My symptoms don't reliably match up to any of the subtypes. I am miserable and only have more questions than answers. The doctor said I'M NOT INSULIN RESISTANT. But y'all... I am. I swear to you, I am. She said there's no way I have PCOS. I'm... not so sure about that either?

What defines a conditional sale? Properties that have accepted a conditional offer within the last several days. At this stage, the property will either move to sold or back to active at the end of the conditional period. The conditionally accepted sold price is not yet known.
What defines a sold property? Properties that either accepted an unconditional offer or a conditional sale completed their conditional period in the last several days. The sold price is now a matter of public record.
What is DOM (Days On Market)? This is how long a property has been on the market at its current price.
What is CDOM (Cumulative Days On Market)? This is the total amount of time a property has been on the market and includes listing suspensions and cancelations provided that either does not exceed 45 days.

Hi all! I’m not a pen enthusiast (quickly becoming one after lurking yalls sub), but I’ve been having a bit of trouble you all might be able to help me with. My job currently issues me an F-701 and X-701 which work amazingly for harsh conditions, but I am having issues with water, sand and mud. My bosses say the X-701 is a good pen to use for when my job requires me to be underwater and then surface, and i’ve told him he is mistaken, and even though the F-701/X-701 has been with my job for quite some years now, my team are all in agreement, that we all need new pens to preform correctly. Ours are always having leaks or getting jammed up, and for my work that’s not good as sometimes I have to have a dependable tool at that moment.
Is there a way to modify the X-701 to where I can dive with it under a good amount pressure, essentially waterproof, use it in windy, sandy environments and all around extremely harsh conditions? I’ve been on the google scour but can’t quite seem to get the right answer and none of my bosses want to deal with a pen issue.

Hello. After about 15 hours of trial and error, I got a Synapse server up and running. Communication between users of the server seems fine, but as soon as one of them tries to join one of the big public servers, the synapse server has a seizure. Here's a little sample of the log:

I don't even know where to start with this. I'm not even sure if this is the place to ask for help, because, unsurprisingly, a lot of the experts on Synapse like to communicate through Matrix. I'd be grateful if anyone here could help me out.
