So I just built my first PC about a month ago and all of a sudden my CPU Frequency in both the MSI Center and the AMD Adrenaline apps are either showing a crazy number or 0. I tried rebooting after the 654965106 number and then I got 0 the next time I checked.
Also, my monitor has started to intermittently cut out. The only thing that has changed is that I have added a KVM switch as I have a laptop that I use for personal/school/work and I'm trying to keep my PC strictly for gaming. KVM was all set up yesterday during the day and everything was fine. Fast forward to last night as I'm settling into S4 of Diablo 4 and the screen starts intermittently going black for about 2 seconds then comes back on. Even now as I'm making this post, it has happened several times. Is this the sole fault of the KVM switch? Would I be better just using it for the keyboard and mouse and manually switch between the DP and HDMI ports?

What are my expectations? I would like to meet someone in a similar situation – why? If you use the menu entry swapper, and fill all your slots up, sell 3 items per item per world by rapid clicking each of them, (or 5) if you don't want to be click intensive but you lose a lot of money by selling 5 vs 3.
at Current prices you can make 2.1m gp an hour. Buying all the items may take a bit but that's pretty insane for f2p.
The best part is you can start with such a little amount of money as a lot of the items have extremely low GE prices compared to the high Alch price that the shops buy them for.

Motions
There was a motions hearing during the morning session about Frank Dileo's emails and Conrad Murray's police interview.
The Jacksons team are trying to get Frank Dileo's emails. Jacksons believe there may be discussions between DiLeo and AEG about MJ & his health. David Regoli, a lawyer for Mrs. Dileo (Frank passed in 2011), said Mrs. DiLeo asked him to review the subpoena by Katherine Jackson's attorney, go through the emails & produce anything relevant to the parties.
Jackson's attorneys want to make sure AEG turned over all the email conversations AEG had with everyone about Michael. If it's proven they didn't, it could be a problem for AEG's attorney. Everyone is on standby.
Judge ruled that Murray's June 27 LAPD interview is considered hearsay and it can't be presented to the jury. Judge said Murray's statement might be admissible if the former doctor testified in court.
Julie Hollander Testimony
Jackson Direct
In the afternoon session Julie Hollander, AEG's VP of Controller and Event Operation, testified. She has been called as an adverse witness by Jacksons
'Adverse witness' is sometimes referred to as a hostile witness - a witness who identifies with the opposing party because of a relationship or a common interest in the outcome of the litigation
First part of her testimony was explaining who hired her (Timm Wooley) and what a CEO/CFO does. She works for AEG Live, under AEG
Hollander said that in 2009 Wooley was more than just a tour accountant. Wooley came back to work on the This Is It tour. Hollander says she reports directly to the CFO.
Hollander said she was responsible for overseeing 'the books' (accounting term) for anything related to the project This Is It.

"I'm responsible for making sure the books are maintained for the tours," Hollander described.

"The books" is an electronic accounting system.
Hollander was responsible for the financial/accounting for the This Is It tour. She estimated she worked on about 20 tours --several concerts. Hollander said she didn't prepare the budgets for the tour, Wooley did. Hollander was responsible for overseeing the books and the general ledger of all transactions related to This Is It but said it was AEG executive Timm Woolley who actually created and managed the budget and made sure people got paid
She reported the budget primarily to Paul Gongaware. Hollander said budget was the costs expected to incur in the tour with developing the shows, taking show on the road, getting gear to London. Other budgeted costs included traveling for people involved, housing for some people involved and insurance
Hollander said the company had a policy manual saying payment would be predicated upon the execution of the contract.

"We had situations where contracts were signed later," Hollander said.

She said, however, that there were situations where contracts were signed after Jackson's death

"Due to the abrupt end of the tour the contracts were being negotiated."

Hollander: "My role was to execute payments pursuant to executed contracts."
Hollander: "My understating was that Dr. Murray was part of the budget, is listed on the budget for the tour at the request of the artist."

She agreed she saw Dr. Murray's contract, but says it was un-executed, since it was not signed by all parties. Hollander called the doctor's contract with AEG "a draft" because, although it was signed by Murray, neither Jackson nor AEG had signed it. Hollander said that if all the terms of the contract were met and remained consistent, Dr. Murray would be paid retroactively from 5/1/09

Panish: "You don't know whether Dr. Murray was performing services for MJ?"
Hollander: "I don't know, I can't say for sure, not me, personally"

"Timm Wooley advised me that Dr. Murray was being engaged at the request of the artist," Hollander testified and added that the budgets were ultimately approved by Gongaware.

Hollander testified that Murray's salary of $150,000 each for the months of May and June that year was included in a budget approved by executive Paul Gongaware.

"If Michael Jackson didn't die and AEG signed, then AEG would owe the money, right?", Brian Panish, the Jackson family's attorney, asked.
"If all parties signed it would have been a fully executed contract, yes, and I would have to, if the costs were approved.It would be no basis for me to say I'm not going to pay that", Hollander said.
Hollander: "There was $300,000 listed on the budget for Dr. Murray, yes. That budget was approved by Mr. Gongaware"
Panish: "For London there was more than 1 million dollars in the budget to pay Dr. Murray, right?"
Hollander:"I don't recall a figure of $1Million"

Brian Panish shows Hollander a large binder with 80 documents she reviewed to refresh her recollection

Panish: "AEG advanced money to Michael Jackson, is that right?"
Hollander: "Yes, it was an advance, recoupable in some capacity"

Panish showed an email from 5/18/09 from Hollander to Wooley:

"We are in the process of quickly pulling together an urgent re-forecast for Mr. Anschutz and need the latest and greatest on Michael. I recall that you were working on an update. Is it ready for consumption? I need something by tomorrow at the latest. Once the numbers are in, I need direction from you with respect to the split between UK and US"

On May 18, 2009, Hollander wrote an email to several executives asking for information that would help give AEG owner Philip Anschutz an idea of the upcoming tour profits.

Panish asked Hollander, "They weren't asking you how the rehearsals were going, were they?"
"No", Hollander answered
Panish : "They wanted to know how much money would be made for the U.S. and how much money would be made for the U.K., correct?"
Hollander : "Yes"
Panish: "Do you know if AEG ever performed a background check on Dr. Murray?"
Hollander: "I'm not aware of anything in that regard"

Hollander said she did not know who negotiated the compensation for Dr. Murray. He was the only doctor budgeted for the tour.

Hollander: "I talked to Mr. Wooley about the inclusion of Dr. Murray in the budget. I talked to Mr. Trell (in-house attorney) as to the conditions he'd be paid"

Panish showed the jury the budget from 5/16/09 for 27 shows: Management Medical --300,000; 450,000; 750,000 Total: $1.5 Million to pay Dr. Murray
Hollander verified a document created May 16, 2009, that listed dozens of changes to the This Is It budget. Murray was listed as item #29.

"Michael wishes to have a permanent physician available on call throughout the pre-tour period on operational period', the document said.

There are 2 months at $150,000 newly budgeted.
On April 30, 2009, Panish showed a document with $300,000 budgeted for management medical.
Dr. Emery Brown , Propofol expert from Harvard, is announced as the next witness to be called.

I need a daily/winter car but I'm tired of "winter beaters". I fix my own cars and I've bought and sold over 10 cars in the past 10 years. Some flips some just because I grab opportunities when they arise and then get bored of it. I have a summer sports car, and a summer camping rig, neither will see salt (living in salt/snow belt). I'm really hoping it's not a mistake to go from Toyota easy to fix/reliability/cheap parts, to BMW euro style stuff. I feel like I need to re-learn how to work on cars, they can be so oddly engineered but I do respect some aspects of it.
In this daily, it must be AWD, I want something modern, wireless android auto is a must. Cannot be under powered, moderate power is fine, I do (kind of) need fuel efficiency. Hybrid is fine. I was thinking compact SUV but might even do a coupe/sedan because we have another compact SUV daily. No kids, no need for extra space, towing etc. Just to get around daily and be good in the snow.

I have just finished ‘Raising Steam’. However I understand this is not the last Discworld novel.
For reference I have been reading the Kindle editions, and the list provided in the end of each of these titles finishes with ‘Raising Steam’. As I understand, ‘The Shepherd’s Crown’ (the true last Discworld novel) is part of the Discworld for younger readers? I have not read any of the Tiffany Aching series and I’m not sure if I would enjoy it. Can someone say they have read the whole Discworld saga if they haven’t read the Aching series?
Any clarification/advice on this is very welcome.

I know I know... yet another Warcraft movie shill post, but hear me out:
Warcraft movies have long been a fan's daydream. As a long time fan and active player I'm no different. In fact I might have gone a bit overboard with fantasies about it, but I did some thinking and research and here's an outline of what I think can make the franchise a success and launch a potential WoW cinematic universe. I know most of this has already probably been said before, but I want to put it all in a single place where we can see if theres any way to push this to Blizzard/Microsoft and make it finally happen.
A three-part telling of the story of Arthas in streamable series format.
Part 1: The Fall of Lordaeron - We follow Arthas from his young Paladin days through the events of discovering the scourge and ending with the Purging of Stratholm. The ending with "This whole city must be purged" is an amazing finale foreshadowing the downfall of the main protagonist.
Part 2: Frostmourn Hungers - Arthas, now on a downwards spiral goes to Northrend and finds Frostmourn. This part would cover his Northrend campaign, slowly corrupting him into the Lich King's will. Includes the return to kill his father, the destruction of Quel'Thalas, resurrection of Kel'Thuzad and ultimately ends with Arthas putting on the Lich King armor and helm.
Part 3: The Lich King - Starting with the WotLK cinematic, it would follow the story of the WotLK expansion and shift focus slightly on the world banding together to defeat Arthas. The ending should be kept exactly the same - the champions of the Horde and Alliance together with Tirion defeat the Lich King exactly as it was told in the game.
Cast ideas:
It is important that the main cast and director crew are fans of WoW and its story, so they represent it well. I've picked a list of several casting choices that have either played WoW or would just fit too well with the character they portray in my opinion. The following list is more of a wish-list, but as with any production - known names bring audience.
Director - Sam Raimi. He is a WoW player and was allegedly "desperate" to direct the first Warcraft movie. Having a good director who is a fan of the lore and game is critical for the success of this (see Last of Us for example)
Arthas - Henry Cavill is the obvious, well-known, best choice. Apart from being so close to how Arthas looks, he would inevitably bring an enormous audience of non-WoW fans and almost guarantee success.
Jaina - Mila Kunis or Cameron Diaz. Both have played WoW and both can portray Jaina in a slightly different way but close to the depiction in the game. Even Ella Purnel (the Fallout role of Lucy) could do a great job here.
Tirion - Gary Oldman. He not only fits the visual representation of Tirion, but even his voice is similar. His previous roles have resemblance to the character arch of Tirion (e.g. Gordon in The Dark Knight)
Uther - Jeff Bridges. Requires no further explanation. He just is Uther.
Bolvar - Travis Fimmel. He did great as Lothar, but he would do even better as Bolvar in my opinion.
Kel'Thuzad - Ralph Fiennes. We dont have much to go off of for his visual depiction in his Human form, but Fiennes portrayal of Voldemort and Hades fits very well with this character.
Darion Mograine - Christian Bale. This is a an important character and Bale's representation of complex conflicting characters could be amazing for this.
Antonidas - Ian McKellen. Simple - nobody can portray an old wise archmage as good as him so far.
The list goes on and on and I wont try to be exhaustive here as the goal is to just give an idea of what it could look like with a star studded cast. Theres an infinite number of good choices, so theres no point in getting stuck on casting. Frankly the only choice that is non-negotiable is Cavill as Arthas in my opinion.
Main reasons why now is the time for it:
Creating a series, rather then movies, is quite crucial. If Last of Us showed us anything, it is that series allows you to tell peripheral stories really well in isolation, without distracting from the main narrative. I dont see a realistic way of telling all the different plots going into the Arthas story without butchering it. Things like The Wrathgate, The Ashbringer, Tirion's backstory, Illidan and his quest against Arthas, etc. would feel out of place in a movie, but quite natural in a series. There is no other way to tell WoW lore along the main story and open up the doors for cinematic universe of movies and series stemming from this main branch.
Streaming services have allowed series to evolve and tell stories in a way that movies never could. They have started a great trend of bringing games to the big screen. This trend seems to be getting stronger and stronger. Classic WoW showed that Warcraft fans are here and hungry for the epicness of the original games. The hype is there. WotLK just ended, so the nostalgia will start crippling in. We just defeated the Lich King, now its time to see the story told in its full potential.
Blizzard appears to be on a downward trend with WoW subs and are seemingly desperate for cash and ideas of bringing the playerbase back into the game in full swing. What better way then telling this story and potentially turning the whole world to fans who would at least want to try the game after watching a great series? Just think of Cavill as Arthas and the amount of wives/gfs who would suddenly find out that WoW might be cool :D
Microsoft taking ownership of Blizzard is another positive - Fallout is part of Microsoft and it is doing great as a series. This might suggest that Microsoft understands the potential of those franchises coming to the screen and being very successful on their own, while bringing lots of new players to the game, thus increasing profits in two separate streams.
If Last of Us, Witcher and Fallout are doing so well - think of the game that everyone and their mother knows. If there was ever a game that virtually everyone knows, has a story that is perfect to film and has great names in the industry passionate about - it is World of Warcraft. Jumping on this band wagon, WoW has a history of coming to the scene and becoming the king. It would be no different as series - the one that makes them all pale in comparison.
It is what WoW has been leading up to. It is what it was destined to become.
This wont be just a success. This would be a grand slam.

Hello friends. Part question/part rant (sorry) about editing accessibility info on business listings.
Just received an email from Google Maps inviting me to add accessibility info to "make the world a safer, more equitable place". Wonderful, I thought. I have struggled to do this before – accessibility features are rarely among those editable under "update this place", and even when you do change it nothing happens. I posted to the Google community and contacted them on Twitter, was ignored despite eight daily follow-ups and eventually through pestering they agreed to manually change examples I gave them, but wouldn't respond as to why users couldn't do it themselves as they make out.
The guide and email now suggest that you can leave an "accessibility review" with photos. However this doesn't seem to be any different from regular reviews, and if you can't enter a business to patronise it, it's irrelevant. I thought it was going to be like Airbnb where hosts can upload photos related to accessibility features.
Have you had better luck updating this info? Do you know why some businesses have different criteria editable (since Google Maps themselves don't seem to)? If they actually took accessibility seriously there wouldn't be the need for the disability community to make their own accessibility guide apps that tend to replicate existing efforts. It could just be integrated reliably into the platform we already use.
TLDR: can you really update accessibility information yourself for businesses, or Google Maps just paying lip service to accessibility as usual?

If you are looking at the Marriott voyage program I am going to list some cons for you and give background IF you’re in the same boat. If your passion s truly in hospitality and you are a loyal Marriott worker then this post is probably not for you.

1. Coming fresh out of college, I was met with a lot of disorganization in the hotel. Half of the workers (the ones that oversaw me) didn’t even know what a voyager was and these were my supposed “coaches” and “champions”
   
2. You will get the worst shifts with very low pay. I worked in both Banquets and F&B (hotel restaurant) and was receiving way less than my counterparts but also significantly less than the employees I was overseeing. Our bonus was a joke and the raise (the one your relocation recruiter will hype up as part of a specialty for voyagers) was a joke.
   
3. If you come in during busy time you will get little to no training and will be expected to handle 80% of the operational and guest satisfaction issues. this being my first time at hotels with this brand specifically was very challenging. I called out my coach multiple times on why he did not train me according to brand standards. even small things like getting my micros or atlas access as a manager I did not receive until it was time for me to switch departments.
   
4. You have to beg for time to complete your online training if you are in f&b.my director just did not like being on the floor so I found myself having the run shifts and somehow complete 40+ hours of online training at the same time.
   

5.you may or may not actually rotate throughout the departments in the hotel. My f&b director admitted she didn’t know much about what a voyager was to me and the 3 other voyagers there during our TENTH MONTH and Tried to cram the rotations in three days. So what should have been 8 hour shifts with each department turned into 1 hour sessions of decks presented by the departments heads. My brain was fried by the end of each of those days.

1. If you’re in Chicago like I was , the fair work week labor laws will probably not be applied to you or many other ambassadors unless you’re in a union property. I never got paid premium pay for shift and schedule changes even though I was making less than the amount mandated. My HR director also did nothing about this.

All in all if you see yourself staying in hospitality then sure go ahead and sign the year long contract because it does open door for your within the brand but if you’re on the fence or just want to have a taste of hospitality then I would not recommend this program. I met with other voyagers in the Chicago land area during my time and most of them had the same exact issues in their departments if not worse. A couple even left and ended up paying back their relocation fees.
