Currently using a dell xps 8940 with a 3060 ti and i5-11700. Was planning on upgrading but just found out about proprietary parts. Ideally want a build that can be upgraded down the line(50 series card). i had upgraded the ram to 2 sticks of 16gb but i would not mind another set of ram sticks , have a 512 nvme ssd and a 1tb internal hard drive not sure if these can be salvaged , if not all good. I am mostly looking for a cpu upgrade for star citizen (i know). The i5 13600k caught my eye for the price but i am not sure how significant the upgrade would be. these are the 3060ti measurements-- 210x120x35

I have noticed that whenever I have tried to make posts linking news articles about the boycott in several other subreddits such as canada, toronto, alberta, vancouver, etc, the mods always block those posts. It has happened to my friends and other people as well.
For one example, I made a Loblaws diss track and it was picked up by BlogTO, yet when I posted that article on the toronto subreddit first, they said the boycott is a "Canada-wide issue and not relevant to Toronto". When I posted it on canada, they removed it from there as well.
Now I am not ranting just about the track or any mods in particular, but I have made posts on other accounts before to spread awareness and it's always the same deal. Basically what I realized is that having this space for us to discuss and support each other is very much needed because otherwise our voices can be silenced even before we can make a post to voice our concerns.
Let's keep spreading awareness of this space and other spaces so we can freely discuss open issues that are hurting our country and make changes for the better.

Wondering if this is a solid build for under $1000, considering that the placeholder 3060 in the part list is a Lenovo OEM I got for free. 90% of my time with this will be spent gaming with some light music production, and most of the games I play are CS, Fortnite, and Overwatch (aiming for 240fps). I would also like to play Cities Skylines 2 and DCS World on this.

Rescue history: rescued with siblings from street at 3-4 months old; adopted at age 1.5 yrs
Health history: luxating patellas in hind legs, previously graded at 2, not been much of a problem since getting more in shape at age 2 or so (only pop out maybe once or twice a year); has once had pancreatitis (managed to quickly steal bites of rotten rabbit in woods before I pulled the rest out of her mouth), successfully treated with antibiotics; no other chronic health conditions, in good shape (walks 3x/day for a total of 1.5-2 hours, short runs 3-4x/week and some longer weekend walks/hikes, no known allergies
Vaccination and other regular medical care history: vaccinated at regular intervals with all recommended vaccines for our area, plus the ones our vet lists as recommended if contacting other dogs (which we do infrequently directly - she is generally shy and mostly prefers to be alone) and the ones for travelling nearby but south with one other vaccine recommended for that area, plus Lyme yearly; receives check ups, bloodwork, and stool samples at the intervals recommended by the vet

• Relevant clinical signs: normally sheds for ~2 months in fall, ~2 months of spring, brush with curry comb and/or using fingertips to shake out loose hair (short coat) daily. Sometimes (in the last few seasons) has also had skin flaking for some of her shed. Is this normal or possibly linked to a the shampoo I used (Furminator deSHEDDING ultra premium shampoo) or some other factor. Last bath with the shampoo was two days ago. Have noticed a lot of flaky skin in the last couple days, but don’t think it only started after that bath. Last bath before that was several weeks ago, but I clean her paws and any dirt/mud on her feet or coat after every walk with dog wipes, and she licks her coat clean daily like a cat (and she hates baths) and she is pretty clean all the time. Her skin looks fine under her coat, she does not seem itchy at all or uncomfortable (no increase in scratching or shedding, no other behavioural or physiological changes). I care about my dog and want to make sure that I’m doing right by her - any thoughts about changes I should implement, or if I don’t need to worry?

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says his government aims to make housing more affordable for younger Canadians without bringing down home prices for existing homeowners.
Cutting shelter costs while ensuring that homeowners’ property values remain high could be viewed as contradictory, but Mr. Trudeau was adamant that property owners would not lose out.
“Housing needs to retain its value,” Mr. Trudeau told The Globe and Mail’s City Space podcast. “It’s a huge part of people’s potential for retirement and future nest egg.”
Many residents have been priced out of Canada’s housing market with typical home values topping $735,000 across the country and exceeding $1-million in Toronto. The cost of rent has also been climbing, increasing the frustration among younger voters that the Trudeau government is trying to appease.
Ottawa has responded to the spike in living costs by revising some of the programs for first-time homebuyers, such as allowing them to take out an insured mortgage with a 30-year amortization for a pre-construction home. It has also announced billions of dollars in incentives and tax breaks to create more rental housing.
Over the past two decades, the value of residential real estate has tripled and has made homeowners more prosperous. Many Canadians view their homes as their single largest asset and as a way to support their retirement and pass on wealth to their children.
However, the significant rise in home prices has contributed to the widening wealth gap between homeowners and renters, who do not have the same opportunity to amass equity in their home.
Mr. Trudeau acknowledged this disparity and said: “The difference between someone who’s rented all their lives versus someone who is a homeowner in terms of the money they have for retirement is massive, and that’s not necessarily always fair,” he told the podcast.
The federal government’s latest round of housing policy announcements are not expected to immediately make much of difference to housing affordability, with the country’s population growing at its fastest pace in decades and newcomers looking for a place to live.
Although all levels of government have been pushing developers to build housing faster, new home building has slowed in part because of high borrowing costs. And it takes years for new apartments and homes to be constructed.
“Supply can only change gradually, so realistically it’s the demand side that will drive the market over the short haul,” said Douglas Porter, chief economist with Bank of Montreal.
“There are only three things that could potentially improve affordability: stronger incomes, lower borrowing costs and/or lower home prices,” he said.
The housing market has been slow for most of the past two years as the Bank of Canada raised interest rates in its bid to tame inflation. Although the typical home price is down about 10 per cent from the height of the pandemic’s real estate boom in early 2022, values are still 37 per cent higher than in 2019, according to data from the Canadian Real Estate Association.
