I’m musing about running a series of interconnected one shots at conventions with the following concept:
You might compare this concept to player messages in FromSoftware games, the adventure A Rasp of Sand, or SCP-4739.
I would most likely run this in some simple system, probably in a derivative of Into the Odd. The dungeon I would have to design (or borrow - any suggestions?) would have to have challenges that can be overcome with difficult to acquire information (password locks, enemies with specific weaknesses, etc.)

Romania's Birth Control Ban
The United States has recently been taken over by a hot debate around Birth Control and Abortion, with Republicans lobbying for more restrictive regulations around both, while Democrats have successfully spun their defense of both for great electoral effect. However, looking beyond the electoral consequences of this debate, what would a Birth Control and Abortion ban look like in America? Well, perhaps the best model for this would be Romania's bans of both under the Ceausescu regime. During World War 2, King Michael succesfully unified a coalition of Democratic and Communist parties in order to launch a coup against the Fascist government of Ion Antonescu as the Red Army marched ever closer to Bucharest. The coup succesfully overthrew Antonescu, and Romania would fight alongside Soviet forces for the rest of WW2. Following the end of the war, The Soviet Union, like with most Eastern European states, installed a puppet government friendly to their intrests, and the Kingdom of Romania was reborn as the Socialist Republic of Romania. For the next 2 decades, Romania would recover from the war and further its transition into becoming an urbanized, industrialized society, with a slow and steady rise in the standard of living for it's citizens. This economic improvement was helped along by significantly increased female participation in the workforce, however, Communist cadres would soon begin to worry about an ever decreasing birth rate as society grew wealthier and more women chose to work over raising a family. Nicolae Ceausescu had risen to the rank of General Secretary of the Romanian Communist Party following the death of previous leader Gheorghiu-Dej, continuing most of the policies that, as previously mentioned, were leading to a lower and lower birth rate.
So in 1967, Ceausescu unilaterally issued Decree 770, banning birth control and abortion (except in the cases of rape/incest/danger to the mothers life), a policy that you would not expect the GOP and the Romanian Communist Party to both support. The power of the state was quickly mobilized to enforce this new Decree, with the Securitate (think of them like Romania's KGB) strictly monitoring hospitals, contraceptives were pulled from shelves, all women were required to have a monthly meeting with a gynecologist, and state propaganda made a sharp turn into glorifying the benefits of motherhood. So, did the policy work as intended? Yes. Romania's birth rate experienced a sharp increase from 1.9 to 3.7, the largest baby boom in Romanian history. The downsides of the policy also became apparent though, as so many children almost immediately overwhelmed the state's administrative capacity, requiring a desperate dash to build more nurseries, saddling the state with ever more debt, which would contribute to the (ironically for a Communist state) extremely harsh austerity measures during the 1980's that would end with Ceausescu and his wife, Elena, being overthrown and executed in 1989. The Decree also began to be subverted from the jump, as of course, like in any society, wealthier members of the population avoided the ban through bribes and participation in a black market of contraceptives, while poorer women, especially in rural areas of Romania, could not afford more children, and thus used DIY abortions which lead to higher infant and maternal mortality, Romania growing to have the highest mortality rate for pregnant women in Europe and an infant mortality rate 10x that of it's neighbours. The most lasting memory of Decree 770 would be the millions of children that were funneled into an abusive and underfunded foster care system, this hit disabled children the worst and lead to an entire generation of poverty that drags on the state coffers to this day.
Ironically, it would be the "Decree Generation" (Decrețeii) that would finally end Communism in Romania, as economic collapse ushered in partly by this Decree fermented the seeds of a revolution, and those that were born during the 60's and 70's, who had just recently became adults by the time of Communism's collapse, would lead the striking workers, student groups and army divisions that would overthrow Ceausescu and end his near 30 years in power, bringing about the liberal and democratic system that Romania currently operates under to this day. But, despite the mixed bag that was Decree 770, one could argue that without a new generation of workers, Romania's economic woes would have been the same if not even worse, and what are we to do today, with our population sliding from 23 miillion in 1992 to 19 million today? Birth Rates have been a problem in Eastern Europe for years, as the economic luster of Western Europe and the United States have caused an emigration crisis that is compounding our birth rate crisis, with no immigrants to replace those who left in the workforce. And what of the global birth rate crisis? At some point, the immigration gravy train will also run out for our richer friends as African and Asian states suffer the same economic growth = lower birth rates problem that Europe and America have undergone. So is a move similar to Decree 770 the answer to the global population crisis? It certainly lead to a vast increase in the Romanian population, but was also botched by corruption and a woefully inadequate welfare state, which would require a not insignificant amount of the state's resources dedicated to it should we try it again, not even getting into the moral arguments around such an abortion/contraceptive ban.

TL;DR (18m) I was planning on going to college for game development but I don't think I want a career in that. I just want to do my own thing and hopefully get big. Biology seems cool.
I want to be an independent game developer. I have my own game idea and I'm really passionate about it. I’d make it even if I couldn’t make money off of it. It has a bunch of creatures based on real life biology, it's called speculative evolution. Kinda like Subnautica or James Cameron’s Avatar. Like alien animals and aren’t just monsters. I animate all the characters and creatures and want the game to have a hand drawn style like Hollow Knight.
Due to my interest in video games and digital arts / animation, I applied to an art school with a game design major, within walking distance from my high school. I visited it during my art classes and found the environment inviting. There were nice studio spaces and the students there looked really fun to be around. The Game Design professor was really nice to listen to during the Open House. All these together, alongside transportation issues led me to tunnel vision into this school. When I got the financial aid package, I started rethinking the idea of going. I assumed it would cover most of the cost since my family is low income and I have a lot of siblings. The school seems really nice but I don’t want to have 100K in student loans.
I didn’t apply anywhere else until recently. This year's FAFSA was delayed by a lot which made applying to other schools a bit tricky. I got accepted into a state school which offers more stuff too.
All the game developer layoffs and crunch time stuff, I don’t really think I want to do that. I of course want to make my own game. Like alone, in an apartment or my own little studio space or something. Being able to be a concept artist would be awesome, but it’s like super competitive and there’s also AI image generation. (eww I hate that) It’s scary good now, imagine how good it’ll be in 4 years when I graduate. Working on other people’s games would be cool, I guess. That’s not why I want to learn this stuff. I just want to do my own thing
Also looking at the art college’s class lineup, they don’t have anything not related to art. I like biology, paleontology and other earth sciences because I do lots of worldbuilding. I don’t get bored in stem classes like I imagine a lot of art school students do.
I’ve been thinking about a lot of other careers.
Dental Hygienists seem to make a lot of dollars without flexible hours, but I’ve also heard they have wrist pain which would make it really hard to draw.
Software Engineering is alright. Like I can tolerate it, but without the lens of video games, I don’t really care for it. The coding part of video games is not my spark, it’s more the artistic creative side. Also I hear that’s like the most overcrowded major everywhere. I know people who love coding like how I love paleontology, just researching it for fun.
Being a TV show animator seems really similar to being in a game developer studio. I also think I’d have to move to California or something. I don’t really want to move that far away.
Architecture seems kinda cool. I just heard you have to love it because you work overtime a lot and would get paid more for your effort in other fields.
Having some sort of biology job would be really cool. I’m not sure exactly what they do though. Again I saw you have to love it because it’s hard to find a job without a masters degree.
My art teacher is really proud of my work so far and it makes me happy. I will say though, considering something else as a career has made thinking about it so much less stressful. It can just be something cool I do and if it gets big, I don’t have to work anymore. Yahoo. I could also put hobbyist instead of professional in my bio, which looks cooler to me.
Extra:
Working a trade sounds sucky because I’ve helped my friend at his family business at a warehouse once. It was okay but I don’t want to do that for a living. Lifting heavy stuff and getting kinda hurt. No thanks.
Also I’m aware I simplify a bit when talking about competition and stuff. The idea is that entry level jobs would be hard to get and those don’t really pay that well and I don’t want to feel like I wasted a college degree. I could be being dumb about AI image generation but any professional art people can let me know.

2024.05.16 21:52 markjohnsenphoto My Thoughts on the M4 iPad Pro 13" with 1TB and Nano Glass

I traded in my previous M2 model iPad Pro for the new M4 iPad Pro 13" with 1TB and nano glass, and the first major difference for me was the screen. Holy smokes! First, the OLED brightness is great. The image is crisp. But the major win for me was the anti-glare feature of the nano glass. No more reflections from the lights in the family room or the sun beaming in through the window. This is so much nicer and easier on the eyes. I don't have to adjust the iPad or bob and weave my head to avoid the glare! So much winning!
The speed improvements from the M2 to the M4 are noticeable. Apps pop open and are ready to go right away. I've been mostly using Affinity Photo, Photomator and DaVinci Resolve. I've seen the performance benchmarks reviews and how the new iPad with the M4 is about 20% faster. Yes, you notice it.
One warning is about your projects and settings in DaVinci Resolve. Make sure to have backups of your current projects ready in case something happens as you transfer everything from the old iPad to the new iPad.
I create a few images with the Draw Things app of 1976 Stevie Nicks having coffee with Mick Fleetwood. That seemed to run about the same speed as before. I got a slightly overweight 1980s version of Stevie Nicks, and Draw Things has no idea who Mick Fleetwood is. But that's a topic for another Reddit thread...
I didn't get the Apple Pencil Pro or the Magic Keyboard. My previous Apple Pencil Pro for the M2 iPad Pro does not work with this new iPad Pro. I usually dock the iPad Pro if I need to do some serious typing. Usually these days, I use my voice instead of a keyboard anyways. I ended up buying a Zagg case for about $50.
Of course, this isn't a huge update from the M2 version in 2022, but there's always the next promise of whatever is announced at the June 2024 WWDC and iPadOS 18. I would never buy an Apple product for the hope of some software in the future. But maybe there will be something that takes advantage of whatever AI features are inside the new Apple Silicon.

Hello, I am a member of a small workers cooperative and I feel the challenge of motivating the other cooperative members to carry out management and strategic planning tasks, especially in general planning meetings and planning new projects. I feel that the other colleagues do not see these planning tasks as a priority, to the point that they begin to overlook new projects and the sustainability of the cooperative.
Although they contribute ideas, my colleagues don't show that much enthusiasm for them or for follow-up meetings for planning.
The cooperative is not yet sustainable enough to have an element focused exclusively on this management. I also believe that members of work cooperatives should also be involved in drawing up policies and plans.
What strategies and incentives can you recommend to change this approach? What models do you know? Should there be economic incentives for these activities?

I recently bought my wife a new HP laptop just so she could mix music on her free time since her MacBook pro was showing it's age. She uses serato (with her pioneer deck). She also wants to dabble into producing for fun via Ableton and other similar software. Since she doesn't use computers much outside of work, didn't make sense to buy a MacBook for that.
Well now that I have a galaxy Tab S9+, I finding myself without my tablet Alot as she will hijack it from me so she can draw/color since she finds it fun as a stress reliever when she isn't busy.
Now I'm thinking of returning the HP laptop I just got and getting her a iPad aipro so she can use that to draw/color and maybe mix/make music. I know since iPads use app and not full macOS programs that she would be limited on the software types as it seems like the app versions seems limited on what they can do. But curious if anyone is getting by just using a iPad to do those things.
This is for someone who's doing this for fun and nothing serious (like try to make a career out of it). Would she be able to get her fix with just a iPad?

2024.05.16 21:36 ProjectCaffeinePills [osu!std and osu!mania] Ivaxa Possible Cheating and Multiaccounting

Ivaxa has been well known for his high BPM stream plays along with his obscene singletapping skills over the course of a few weeks at the time of writing. His most notable achievement is his S rank on Deceit [pishi’s Extra] +DT (Score) (Replay). However there is some unusual behavior that Ivaxa has that should be looked into. This thread will look into quite a few cases of these weird findings.
As of the current date, May 16th, 2024, we have collected enough information to submit our public review of Ivaxa’s activity. We are asking the osu! staff and other independent researchers to validate our information and proof-check every single aspect of it. If our findings would be proven to be incorrect and/or not substantial - that's completely fine. Our goal is not to just blindly accuse but to establish the truth.
This document contains currently collected information about Ivaxa, his scores, profiles, and potential connections to other “alt” accounts in the game. We, as an independent team, are trying to establish the legitimacy or lack thereof of said player.
As always, harassment of any of the people mentioned/involved in the report is inappropriate. Please be civil when partaking in the discussion.
Replays, and VODs can be found in a google drive at the end of the thread so you can investigate and see moments listed in the thread yourself.
But first, here's a few things to consider:
  1. Ivaxa’s mouse is a HyperX Pulsefire Haste 2, he allegedly plays on 800 DPI with a 0.62x sens multiplier on osu!. The only reason as to why it’s alleged is because of his recent streams, his sensitivity seems higher than it actually is.
  2. He plays with a Sayu O3C keypad that runs at 8000hz (Peripheral information can be found from Ivaxa’s Twitch channel.)
  3. He is able to singletap 191 BPM streams consistently.
  4. Ivaxa used to be a DT aim player, not much of a stream player until recently.
  5. The player does have skill, however he may be using some sort of outside assistance software-wise like aim assist or relax hacks.
  6. All replays in this thread were inspected using Circleguard.
  7. Most of the information down below was conducted in the empirical (perceived) sense, so take all of it with a grain of salt.

Section one: Replays

There are a few moments within Ivaxa’s recent replays that felt unusual or very strange; mostly unusual edge hits, but also weird UR bar behavior.
The Deceit +DT
There are a few things to mention about this score. The first is an unusual UR bar behavior from 91076 ms (~1 minute 31 seconds) to 93123 ms (~1 minute 33 seconds). The UR bar looks like this in the end. This type of UR bar behavior is often found in 125 hz keyboards with a map that has a BPM that is a multiple of 125 (125 BPM, 250 BPM, 375 BPM, etc.). However, Ivaxa doesn’t use a 125hz keyboard or keypad, he uses one that is rated at 8000hz. This is rather unusual since this type of UR is only found in this section of the map only. Also, if he were to play on a 125hz keyboard/keypad, the type of UR that was shown above would be all over the map since the Deceit with DT is mostly 375 BPM.
The second would be his aim, particularly at around 1885 combo, his cursor shakes at an abnormal magnitude from the rest of the map. This shake can be caused by nerves, tapping strain of the left hand, or a mix of both. But, Ivaxa’s alleged sensitivity is so low that the shake that has been shown in the replay is either really hard to do or impossible.
Gotta go Fast +DTSO
This score has one thing that is quite suspicious. at 47582 ms (~48 seconds) into the map, an awkward edge hit is found where he over-aimed and seemingly snapped back to the circle. This kind of edge hit is something that a normal osu! player wouldn’t be able to hit entirely, especially at the speed at which the map is being played at. Another edge hit can be found in the same map at 28852 ms (~29 seconds), where the cursor doesn’t naturally curve at the end, instead snapping to the edge of the circle. Both cases may allude to the usage of some sort of aim assist.
Metal Crusher +DT
There are two things to note about this score, the first is some unusual cursor movement at the ending section of the map. Ivaxa’s cursor slightly follows the slider at 59128 ms (~59 seconds), and another right after at 60400 ms (~one minute). There is something to be said about some of the 100’s that Ivaxa is hitting. More specifically some 100’s within a few of the maps that have been observed so far are very near the barrier of being a 300 hit regardless of whether the note is early or late (https://i.imgur.com/cxFSdjf.png, https://i.imgur.com/bHLurZn.png). The sayu is precise enough to actually hit these types of 100’s, however it feels like these have occurred too often, so much so that this play has half of the 100’s in the map has these “edge 100’s,” for a lack of a better term. There are also two 100’s (100 #1 and 100 #2) that have been hit at exactly the same lateness/timing.

Section Two: Twitch Streams

The two pieces of information down below are more focused on his single tapping skills, along with some weird/suspicious moments during his stream.

At 15:37, Ivaxa is seen to be double tapping 270 bpm streams even though he S ranked the Deceit with DT around three days after said stream (390 BPM). At 49:15 mins of the same stream: he is seen to singletap 191 BPM streams, probably because he was warm when playing at his point.

On March 31st, 2024, on the VOD where he S ranked The Deceit +DT, at the end of the VOD at 2:58:42 Ivaxa is seen singletapping a 390 BPM burst. After which he paused the game and blamed Steam notifications. Despite the bottom half of his monitor being visible on stream through the webcam, where no steam notifications or pop-ups are visible, he then opened Steam to "change notifications settings.'' After allegedly changing the settings, his cursor trajectory on the visible parts of the monitor on stream tells us that he moved the mouse from the top most left corner, while usually Steam settings are located in a pop-up window at the center of the screen. Afterwards His stream allegedly "crashed."

On April 7th, 2024 Ivaxa showed on the osu! Game discord server that he is able to singletap 191 BPM (better picture of the graph), however six days later after the message, on his stream on April 13th, 2024 Ivaxa showed that he was able to singletap PoNo’s Yomi Yori 220 BPM streams at the end. This type of BPM jump in such a short amount of time can only be reasoned with by hardware abuse via rapid trigger. Either that, or some sort of relax hack that assists the player in tapping.

Section Three: Multiaccounting

There are many pieces of information that suspect that Ivaxa is multiaccounting, however there is currently no concrete evidence on whether or not he is indeed multiaccounting. Please keep this in mind when reading this section of the thread.
The Mulitiaccount & Play Count Graphs
Pipecat is the suspected multiaccount. First of all, both Pipecat and Ivaxa are placed 1st and 2nd on the osu!mania leaderboard in Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland (This is done by using osu! subdivide nations). Both play count graphs also seem to compensate for each other as of 2024, April 4th (the graph for Ivaxa has been warped in order to have a better visualization).
Time-pp Scatter Chart & Best Performances
The same thing happens with their Best Performance Time-pp Scatter Chart from ameobea/osu!track (Pipecat's Mania Chart and Ivaxa's Mania Chart non warped). Both graphs seem to compensate for each other, especially at around the month of March, as of 2024, April 5th (again, Ivaxa's chart has been warped for better visualization of score submissions).
Speaking of pp, both accounts have similar maps in their best performances list (Ivaxa is on the left, Pipecat on the right). If you want to see more, just check their mania profiles.
This may ask the reason as to why Ivaxa hasn’t played any vsrg (Vertical Scrolling Rhythm Game), and yet his performance in mania is abnormal for his time played. As seen from the play count graph from above, Ivaxa would’ve most likely played mania first on the Pipecat account, and then proceeded to play mania again on the other.
Names/Naming Scheme & Last Seen
Their naming scheme can also be taken into account as, Ivaxa’s name was inspired by Vaxei, and Pipecat was inspired by Whitecat.
It is also worth noting that Ivaxa and Pipecat’s Last Seen times are near each other, being more or less one hour apart from each other.

Pure Speculation: During a congregation, several people have noted/proposed that Ivaxa may or may not be using three keys in order to stream higher bpm’s, using a software that alternates the middle key (since he plays ring-index) between key 1 and key 2 to insure that nothing is suspicious with his tapping count.

Verdict

Ivaxa’s single tapping speed is very abnormal, especially considering that he was able to stream 220 BPM in just six days, starting from 191 BPM, all singletapped. His aim on some maps feels weird, and some edge hits are questionable in terms of legitimacy. The incident on his stream on March 31st of this year also felt suspicious and weirdly timed, as if he was covering something up. And Pipecat’s graphs line up in such a way that it seemingly compensated for Ivaxa’s play count, and pp-scatter chart. From the information that was gathered about Ivaxa, there is a likelihood that the player is cheating, via aim assist, partial relax, or a mix of both.
It is suggested/encouraged that you look into this yourself.

For Ivaxa stream mp4’s, each “part” is in one hour segments (because untwitch). So part 1 would be the first hour of a stream, part 2 would be the second hour of a stream, etc. There are some parts where it didn’t download the full hour, so be aware of that.
We’ve also included one of the “VOD analyzer” test result files, which includes cursor positions from an analyzed stream segment (#11 #2PL 1.3k pp achieved). It was a completely custom-coded solution that analyzed the video frame by frame but it wasn’t used during the investigation, so we are unsure about the accuracy of the cursor detection.

The Black Keys are an American rock duo formed in Akron, Ohio in 2001. The group consists of Dan Auerbach (guitar, vocals) and Patrick Carney (drums). The duo began as an independent act, recording music in basements and self-producing their records, before they eventually emerged as one of the most popular garage rock artists during a second wave of the genre's revival in the 2000s. The band's raw blues rock sound draws heavily from Auerbach's blues influences, including Junior Kimbrough, R.L. Burnside, Howlin' Wolf, and Robert Johnson.
Friends since childhood, Auerbach and Carney founded the group after dropping out of college. After signing with indie label Alive, they released their debut album, The Big Come Up (2002), which earned them a new deal with Fat Possum Records. Over the next decade, the Black Keys built an underground fanbase through extensive touring of small clubs, frequent album releases and music festival appearances, and broad licensing of their songs. i wonder why people compare pc to console when a pc is something for working ,software , building/creating, gaming a bunch of things but a console is just well a console i own a console and use mt girls pc i also have a laptop and currently saving for a switch and a new pc.
as a gamer i like gaming on pc and console, lately i find myself coming home turning my console on and game then i do my night routine and sleep. the more and more i play less i do on a pc just cause I'm tired and its easier to turn on my console and press a bottom and continue where i left off, i love gaming on a pc and seeing crazy fps and 1440p.
all the good stuff its nice, but i just realize that when i play on a console i don't even mind gaming on 60fps, the pc community is a bit like what's next what's new and i want a million fps mentality and i notice i don't care about the looks i never did i care about the game, the story how fun. i started reminiscing me playing fable morrowind, halo 2, midnight club, black ops and nothing has top off the amount of fun i had then. so why should i care about getting an expensive gpu so i can play on a high resolution at a hgh fps, simply i dont care and i wont let my self make a dumb choice cause its not worth it and not what gaming is for me.
a lot of the gaming community has change back then it was smaller groups of friends or lone wolfs but now that its popular and streaming is popular has change a lot, good but for the bad too cause company's are realizing how much money the industry can make and i feel that a major part that's ruining everything and its happening with everything the pc parts which its getting over the top on the prices and it makes me sad cause alot of passionate devs and people and streaming and hardware developers get lost by the money hungry people and if good to make money but where do we draw the line?

Adjustments to Tanks
  • Rampart and job-specific 30% damage reduction abilities will be upgraded in the 90s level range
  • Reprisal’s duration will be increased to 15 seconds in the 90s level range
Paladin
  • The second and third executions of Atonement have been changed to new actions with separate animations (the Atonement button will change to these actions automatically, so button presses will remain the same)
  • A new action that can be executed after Blade of Valor will be added
  • In order to execute Goring Blade, you will need to have Fight or Flight activated
Warrior
  • A new action, which can be executed after three executions of Fell Cleave or Decimate while Inner Release is active, will be added

Adjustments to Magical Ranged DPS
  • Swiftcast’s recast will be reduced to 40 seconds in the 90s level range
  • Addle’s duration will be increased to 15 seconds in the 90s level range
Black Mage
  • Various adjustments will be made to streamline certain aspects of the job, such as restoring MP upon landing ice spells while Umbral Ice is active, instead of passively over time
  • A new action which repositions Ley Lines beneath the caster once will be added
Summoner
  • Solar Bahamut, a new summon akin to Bahamut and Phoenix, will be added (new summon rotation will be: Solar Bahamut - Bahamut - Solar Bahamut - Phoenix)
  • A new attack action that can be executed after Searing Light will be added
  • Summoner will keep Resurrection for Dawntrail, but may have it removed in 8.0
Red Mage
  • Manafication will no longer increase Black Mana and White Mana by 50, and will instead allow the execution of enchanted swordplay actions without cost (can now be executed while mana is at 51 or more without waste)
  • The AoE enchanted swordplay combo beginning with Enchanted Moulinet will now consume a total of 50 Black Mana and White Mana, similar to its single-target counterpart
  • Whenever Embolden is executed, an attack ability will be enabled
Pictomancer
  • Link to Pictomancer overview and gameplay demonstration in the livestream (I found this job much easier to understand by watching the demonstration, BTW)
  • Job actions centered around Aether Hue elemental attacks (Red = Flare, Green = Aero, Blue = Water) and Motifs (Creature, Weapon, and Landscape)
  • Aether Hue attacks build a gauge that can be expended on White elemental Holy attacks as well as Subtractive Pallette, which upgrades your other elemental attacks to higher-potency elements.
  • Creature Motif involves rendering parts of a creature (eg. a Moogle) via attacks that will eventually summon the creature for a higher-powered attack
  • Weapon Motif is a fast triple-cast combo
  • Landscape Motif is a longer-cast action that deals damage to enemy and grants buffs to self and party members
Adjustments to Healers
  • Swiftcast’s recast time will be reduced top 40 seconds in the 90s level range
White Mage
  • A new action allowing the caster to quickly move forward will be added
  • A new AoE attack, which can be executed up to 3 times after Presence of Mind, will be added
  • New trait that increases Tetragrammaton stack number will be added
Scholar
  • Seraphism, a new action which changes the caster’s appearance and enhances healing magicks, will be added
  • A new AoE attack that can be executed after Chain Stratagem will be added; it will include a DoT
  • A new trait that reduces recast time for Recitation will be added
Astrologian
  • The card system will no longer be RNG based, and will instead simultaneously draw cards with offensive, defensive, and curative effects
  • Every 60 seconds, you can draw one set of four cards (divided under Lord of Crowns or Lady of Crowns), each card having different effects, and you can use the cards in that set depending on your situational needs
  • Astrodyne will be removed with the discontinuation of astrosigns
  • New trait that increases Essential Dignity stack number will be added
Sage
  • Eukrasia will now enhance Dyskrasia II into Eukrasian Dyskrasia, an AoE attack which deals damage over time to enemies within range
  • A new party buff, which heals party members whenever the caster casts a spell, will be added (basically a ranged version of Kardion, but will only be in effect for a limited amount of time)
  • New trait that reduces the recast time of Soteria will be added
PvP Updates
  • Viper and Pictomancer will be added to PvP in 7.0
  • New PvP actions, action adjustments, and adjustments to existing PvP maps are currently planned for 7.1
  • Crystalline Conflict ranked matches will;; be in preseason between 7.0 and 7.1 (rankings will not be updated, but tiers and Crystal Credit will be affected by wins and losses
New Characters
  • Two new NPCs that will appear in the Dawntrail MSQ were discussed: Bakool Ja Ja and Koana, who will both be competing for the throne of Tural. Bakool Ja Ja is a two-headed Mamool Ja, similar to Gulool Ja Ja, and Koana is the male Miqo’te from the Dawntrail poster.
    Other Information
  • Benchmark software/graphics update: Some adjustments have been made based on feedback on the original benchmark. These include adjustments to lighting in the character creator, as well as corrections to graphical oddities in character models (addressing things like Keeper of the Moon Miqo’te teeth and Lalafell mouths/teeth). These adjustments will be incorporated into a new benchmark available for download, in addition to the game itself with Dawntrail. Information about a release date for the new benchmark will be announced later.
  • Free Fantasia: Starting in 7.0, there will be a new NPC in Ul’dah with a low level quest that can be completed for one free Fantasia per character.
  • In addition, using a Fantasia will now grant a 60 minute period during which you can make additional adjustments to your character after re-entering the game world if you are not satisfied with how the adjustments look in game. There is no limit to how many additional times you can tweak your character within this 60 minute period.
  • Fall Guys collaboration event returns from May 23rd to June 10th

Does anyone use a program called BidScreen XL? It is an estimating software that connects to Excel, and it is a very old program. You can't name drawings or delete them, sometimes it deletes the takeoffs randomly, and overall it is very slow.
Does anyone recommend any different ones that connect directly to Excel?

2024.05.16 17:43 Relevant_Vehicle6994 Built this PC 5 years ago, took the graphics card and rebuilt it again 2 years ago, but horrible scores when I benchmarked it today. Time to upgrade GPU?

Can anyone give me some direction as to what I can do to improve? Or is it just time to get a new graphics card? This one is pretty old.
Any suggestions on a new graphics card? Ideally under $300. I really only play Path of Exile and Last Epoch

Processor single core With an outstanding score, this CPU is the cat's whiskers: It demolishes everyday tasks such as web browsing, office apps and audio/video playback. Additionally this processor can handle typical workstation, and even moderate server workloads. Finally, with a gaming score of 97.3%, this CPU's suitability for 3D gaming is excellent.
